Hour 1: One last chance

Yeah, we pick it up where we left off yesterday morning. Let's talk about the Middle East. The president says they are getting one last chance to make a deal. That caused a little bit of panic this morning. The oil prices began to tick back up. But then a statement was made a little later on by the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, but also Qatari leaders, the leaders in Qatar, their foreign ministry. said that they're working on all sides to find a diplomatic solution. The remarks came a day after the president said the U.S. had resumed talks with Iran. So they are now saying that this deal may be imminent. The foreign minister spokesman said on Monday that they're not holding direct talks with the United States. Instead, he said the Iranians are they're communicating through mediators in Oman on issues related to safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. And this has been the double talk that's happened for quite a long time. Who is it that I don't know why any American, especially an older American, I mean, I say older, anybody over the age of 30 in this case that has grown up and watched what the Iranians have done. And this is one of those, it doesn't matter what political party you're from. And the more we've talked about this, the more I've kind of refined my thought process because. It doesn't matter if you think that the Obama deal was working. I don't think it was. It wasn't. But you go and look at all the deals that every other president made that they thought was working because the Iranians lie. And they lie because they have a goal. They actually have a couple of goals. One of them. is to wipe Israel off the planet. To wipe the Israelis, they want to just murder the Jews. That's what that, I can't put it in any more simple terms. Look at their constitution. Look at the things that they say and what they've promised to do and wiping out the Zionist state, taking every bit of money that they've made. And instead of improving the lives of its citizens and working on building up its own country, they are fostering terrorism all over the world. The Houthis, the Hezbollah, Hamas.

all of these different organizations and then all of those other proxies across the Middle East. That's all they've ever done. That's all they've ever cared about. That is the central focus of this regime. The other part of this that we know is the oppression of their own people that when they came in with this theocratic idea. And they were going to rule from a religious book and their interpretation of that book. And anybody that steps out of line with their interpretation of that religious book means that they will die. And that's what they think of the Americans. That's what they think of their own citizens. They have murdered their own citizens for the most ridiculous what they call crimes. And they've been doing this for generations now. It's almost 50 years. And every step of the way, every U.S. president has stepped in through their diplomats and has tried to figure out a way to deal with the Iranians in a way that stops them from fostering terrorism and never getting a nuclear weapon. This goes all the way back. Hillary Clinton in 2008, when she was trying to get the Democratic nomination that eventually went to President Obama, she said then, when I am president, we will attack Iran. Her words. This has been over and over and over again. And then Barack Obama, I will not hesitate to use military force. Every single president has tried to make a deal with the Iranians. What nobody has ever done is hold their feet to the fire. Now, again, being 100% transparent and 100% clear on this. I don't know and neither does anyone else know that short of doing to the Iranians, which is a much bigger task than what the Israelis did with Hamas, short of doing that, can we get them to keep their end of the bargain? I don't know the answer to that. I do believe. Marco Rubio, when he tells us that what they were planning and what they were doing and growing an arsenal, that could not be, well, us beating it would be too costly so they could build a nuclear weapon. They could control the Strait of Hormuz if they wanted to, all of those things. And it boggles my mind that we're still fighting about it. Yesterday, we played a couple of, and I have a question that I think if I had an opportunity to speak to Senator Mark Kelly, I would just like a clarification. I don't think that I'm giving him every benefit of the doubt. I certainly don't think that Mark Kelly being a combat veteran, Mark Kelly being a combat veteran that he is, that he would mean to say anything that somehow damages the reputation of the military itself. But when he says that they are failing and they are flailing and they are floundering and they are stuck. And when he makes statements like that, which we played for you yesterday, Patricia played it many times during the newscast, then we played it here during the show. I have a question because I've pulled this story that I think is important for a long time during the previous administration and you can pick your reasons why. I won't. I know what my, I know what my belief is.

The military wasn't meeting its recruiting goals. The Marine Corps wasn't meeting their goal. Neither was the Army. They were then lowering their standards a little bit. They were lowering their recruitment goals. And there was a big concern that we were not filling positions in the United States military. The U.S. Army has already reached its fiscal year, 2026 active duty recruiting goals, months ahead of schedule. So if our military is flailing, if the soldiers, if the troops, in this case soldiers, the army soldiers, if the troops themselves believe that Pete Hegseth is incapable of running the military, we are flailing, we are stuck. Why would parents be encouraging their young adult children to join the military? And why are men and women lining up in droves and exceeding recruitment goals? Why would they be doing that? For what reason? What policy changes in the military have happened that makes people want to rejoin the organizations and serve their country? We're back in another war. That's taken months. And if you listen to Mark Kelly and you listen to Senator Gallego, they would say to you that there was no planning, there was no way to get out. There was no end in sight. There was no concise plan. We keep hearing this over and over again. Then why do young people sign up? Because we do know that during the previous administration, the parents who have influence on their children were telling them they didn't want them to serve at that time. There were young people that whatever the policies were that were in place, you can guess which ones on your own might have driven people away. They couldn't meet their recruiting goals. Same country. Same country. Same young people with a patriotic spirit. Same people. different results and it's a fair question to ask why why you think that and i hope that someone who has the ear of uh Mark Kelly would ask him that question you believe that the president at the head of this give him every benefit of the doubt they're flailing they're stuck there's no exit plan None of that. Why are we exceeding and why are we exceeding the enlistment goals? It's such a good question, isn't it? It's a great question. And why weren't we meeting them for the four years previously? Why did recruitment fall off as heavily as it did? What was going on during the Biden administration that made men and women say, I'll wait. I'm good right now. I have a friend whose son just got accepted as a naval aviator. And this young man, if you knew what this young man did physically, emotionally, educationally, what he did for mind, body, and spirit.

to prepare himself to be accepted into a program like this. That's patriotism. That is someone that wants to serve their country. That is someone that doesn't just say, I'll sign on the dotted line, but has a goal in mind and it is serving his nation. This kid is one of the best and brightest, and he wants to be in the military. What changed? What changed from four years ago? And then answer. And, you know, have the, have the boldness to answer for yourself. What is it? What changed? Coming up in a moment, this. This COVID debate that's been going on. I'm not. It's very much related. Show me one of the studies that's been done on the first eight, the vaccines during the first six months of life. You will not find them. So that's how that went. Well, this is a very, very different, Dana Bash. This time, she's speaking with the COVID-19 response coordinator for the Biden administration, Dr. Ashish Ja. And.

I wish you could see the look on her face. She was pretty stunned. It was like her world came undone. Listen to what this guy says. You said that the available evidence points towards research-related incidents in Wuhan as the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic and that we were funding research in an institution where we lacked full transparency into what research was being conducted. You agreed with that. I did. This is going to surprise some people. You know, when I went into the White House, my view was this was almost surely a natural outbreak, maybe a lab leak. Based on information I learned and based on information I've seen, I have come to conclude that it is more likely to have been a lab leak. Here's the bottom line. No one in the United States knows for sure. The only people who know for sure are people, officials in China. And we still need transparency and accountability on that. So that is my best assessment. I'm not suggesting I know for sure, but I'm saying my best assessment is, but it probably was allowed. That is definitely news to hear that from you for sure. She looked like a deer caught in the headlight. She did not know what to say. It was news to her. Yeah, that defeated everything they've been saying for six years. Imagine being in the news and then you hear it's news to you. That's your face. Right. So yesterday, Aaron Rogers. Future Hall of Fame quarterback. The goat? If he's not, he's close. Aaron Rogers is now the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is a very close friend of Pennsylvania native Pat McAfee. Pat McAfee has got the biggest sports show in the world. And during COVID, Aaron Rogers had been a frequent guest on with McAfee. McAfee got called names. Aaron Rogers got called names because Aaron Rogers wasn't getting the vaccine. This is what happened on the show yesterday. Like, how do you kind of view this year versus maybe the years of the past? Now I'm going to plead the fifth. Okay. Okay. Got to love that guy. I know. Like that absolute coward, Tony Fletcher. Absolute scholar. Are it's back, baby. Are you kidding me? Yeah, 111 times. You got to pardon and you're in front of, and you pleaded over 100 times at the White House. What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science. Yeah, yeah. I thought you were, I am science, and you get up there and he can't answer a question. Yeah. What are we doing? And how much time did the network spend to that? How much time did they spend on my responses every week, on my vaccination status, on Taylor and Travis's wedding? Did they do even a minute? Did they do even a minute on Anthony Fauci? No, I don't think I've heard on Taylor and Travis's wedding. Do I sense a little saltiness? Not wrong there. I mean, let's be fair. I'm just joking because of his relationship with Giselle. But the cable news networks, you're thinking of Tom Brady. Oh, yes, I am. Yeah, that's Aaron Rogers. Who is Aaron Rogers married? Danica Patrick. He was with Danica Patrick for a long time. Not anymore, but he was for a long time.

But Aaron Rogers is absolutely right. He was called a murderer. I'll tell you who apologized was... He didn't just apologize to Aaron Rogers, but he apologized to, I can't remember which, if it was an NFL player, it was Stephen A. Who apologized? Stephen A apologized. Oh, okay. Because they all called into question, why you're not doing this? Why aren't you doing that? And to Stephen A's credit, Stephen A looked right into the camera and he said, I apologize, I was wrong. And that's all anybody wants. Not hiding behind the fifth, you know, all of this stuff. So for everybody out there that's coming at me saying, why are you still talking about this? This is why I'm still talking about this. You just had a former advisor on COVID-19 to President Biden say on CNN that he now believes this was a lab leak after the way anybody that dared say that was treated. And they dismiss it. You will never, I don't believe you'll ever hear that from Dana Bash again. She's not going to look into the camera and say we were wrong. And also, if that is true, why isn't this bigger news? Right. Yes. I don't know. Just the fact that he believes that he said, we may never know because they have to be honest and they're not being transparent. That's huge news. It was big news that Aaron Rogers wouldn't get a vaccine. It was massive news. Pat McAfee got crushed in the press because he was putting that message out there and people were going to die.
