Ep. 2478 - Watch Nick Shirley Almost Get Stabbed By Radical Muslims

I'll explain in a second why that matters, not just for Spain, not just for Europe, but for America. America's about to find out just what a problem we've got tonight in Michigan, and soon in Wisconsin, and probably all over the country. We'll get to that. Plus, President Trump moving against his former ally and current U.S. attorney, Janine Piro, he booted Judge Quasi announcing a presidential run and the latest chaos in Iran. This is The Ben Shapiro. So remember Suta? Yeah, that thing's still going on. So video journalist Nick Shirley, you'll recall him going to Minnesota and California to uncover fraud on the federal and state level. He went to Suta. So Suta, as we've been talking about this week, is a small Spanish-owned enclave on the tip of North Africa borders Morocco. And for two reasons, 60,000-plus Muslims swarmed Suta a few days ago. First reason, open borders pro-radical Islam policies promoted by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, just like Joe Biden, and two. A court ruling in Spain. And if you swim to Suta, you're cool. If you try to walk over the border, they can just return you to Morocco. But if you swim, you're cool. So people just swim 30 feet. And now they can't really be deported. Okay. So Nick Shirley goes there to document what things are like. And things got a little spicy. Here's what that looked like. Then headed to the center of the town with the citizen vigilante, Manziya. However, within minutes, we were chased out. So now people here to feel safe, they're walking around with their dogs. Because Muslims do not like dogs. Get on the camera. Come back. Watch out, watch out, watch out. He's saying F come here. Somebody took a bottle from the garbage and starts chucking bottles at him. Now we got people throwing stuff at him. And now here they come. They're throwing things at him. And pretty soon, there is a dude who's going to chase him with a knife. They were throwing rocks at him. And now they're running away. Because you can hear the guy in the background shouting, I'm going to stab both of you. Good thing Nick Shirley ran track in high school, apparently. Again, there's literally a dude chasing them with a knife. You know, just through the streets of Suta. So this isn't just a Spain problem, as we've been talking about. If you import millions of people like this, they will then form voting blocks and enclaves and voting coalitions. And they will vote for people who would import more of them, including the people who might want to stab you in the face. This is not a Spain problem. This is also a Michigan problem. Again, we played this just yesterday, but it is worth playing in this context because, again, it is not, unfortunately, a total rarity. Jake Lang, who is a right-wing agitator. He went to a march in Dearborn. I'll get to the details on the march in a second. And here's how it went for Jake Lang. Port ice. We do not want these illegal immigrants here. Jesus is king of Dearborn, Michigan. I seek the name of Jesus. Oh, shit. And they come in and people start hitting him and punching him. No violence. No violence. and they start punching him and kicking him and following him around. And then he has to race through the streets of Dearborn trying to avoid having the crap kicked out of him. And of course you have a giant crowd that's following along, smiling, enjoying the sights. Here he goes, running, people beating him up, trying to get into a cop car. The cops are not arresting anybody. They're just watching as Jake Lang gets the shit kicked out of him. He gets pushed into the car by the cops.

Just good times happening in Dearborn. Really good times happening over there in Dearborn, Michigan. So I just want to remind you, here are some of the flags that were being flown at that memorial for a Muslim leader killed in the 7th century and treated as a fallen hero by Shia Muslims. This is a March that happens every year. And some of the flags. included marchers in Hezbollah headbands carrying flags of U.S. designated terrorist Iran-backed Iraqi-Iraqi Hezbollah brigades, as well as the Iran-backed Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces. This event has been held in Dearborn since 2004. It was a march attended by thousands of people. That's the Arbaein procession in Dearborn. So Dearborn has a population of about 110,000 people. More than half of those people are apparently Muslims from the Middle East and Near East. And here is what Dearborn is like, courtesy of video journalist Nate Friedman. Welcome to Dearborn. Again, it's like public proclamations of prayer times. And people wearing like the Fulberka.

You know, flags of various Islamic organizations flying. In North America. Again, people just walking through the street, Abdul for Senate. Do you want Syedad to win or Stevens? Again, like, Dearborn is a very, very, very, very. Muslim and radicalized city. This is the Islamic takeover of Michigan. Welcome back to the Nate Friedman show. I've come to Dearborn to see what it's really like here. It's an ordinary Wednesday, and if you had to do some work on the house and stop at Home Depot first, these are the signs you would see. I mean, literally the signs are in Arabic at the at the Home Depot. Hey, so again, why does that matter? Right. Be tolerant. America's a big country, right? Well, here's why it matters, because it turns out that you can build a political base off of enclaves like this. So Ilhan Omar has obviously done that in Minnesota, right? She is elected by her largely Somali Muslim base in Minnesota. Rashida Tlaib, unsurprisingly, is the representative for the city, Dearborn. But what also happens is that you can use that base to build a coalition with other anti-American radicals. And then you start moving from local congressional seats into, say, the Senate, or into gubernatorial seats, or into the mayoralty of New York. and then maybe the Senate for somebody like a Zohran Mamdani. This is the coalition that Hasan Piker is interested in building. It's why he campaigns with all these people. It is about to take a big step forward tonight in all likelihood. So why does all of this matter? Because it's coming to America and soon it could be in the United States Senate. That is a real thing that is happening today in Michigan. So tonight, Haley Stevens, who's a more sort of traditional Democrat, again, she's very much to the left, but she's a more traditional Democrat. She is running for the Michigan Senate nomination in Michigan against Abdul El-Sayed. Abdul El-Sayed is a radical advocate for Muslims, including terrorists, right now in the Kalshi markets. He is basically a dead certainty to win. 98.3% of people think that El-Sayed is going to win in the primaries tonight. So Haley Stevens would be very likely to beat Mike Rogers, who's the Republican Senate candidate. The odds for Rogers are going up.

pretty significantly based on the fact that El Sayyad is likely to be the Democrat nominee. But El Sayyad is, of course, a radical Muslim. He has significant ties to Dearborn. He campaigns there all the time. And as we've pointed out over and over again, he refuses to disavow Ayatollah Khomeini because it might piss off too many people in the very moderate Muslim city of Dearborn. Here was that leaked audio. I also want to remind you guys that there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today. So, like, I just don't want to comment on Khomeini at all. Like, I don't think it's worse even touching that. Like, they're going to try, this is what we practice, but, like, isn't Khomeini a bad guy? Isn't it great that he's dead? My first man was 86 years old. He was going to be dead sometime soon anyway. Second. that doesn't justify the fact that he was a bad man does not justify our breaking of international law and unilateral action outside of outside of war time like this is a bigger question about the united states responsibility to international law and we have been breaking it wantonly this is the second leader that we've gone after in a matter of month we are not the world's policemen and that's not what he got elected to do with Again, the reason that he is hesitant is because, number one, he has large-scale sympathies for radical Islam, and two, a lot of his constituents have large-scale sympathies for radical Islam. Again, this is the same guy who suggested when a person from Dearborn tried to murder a bunch of Jewish preschoolers that the reason that was happening is because that guy's brother had been killed as a member of Chisbalah in Lebanon and heard people hurt people. He is also, by the way, touting the endorsement of a pastor who praised Louis Farrakhan. And Louis Farrakhan, of course, one of the greatest anti-Sumites of the last 50 years in America. He's enthusiastically, Abdul El-Sayed. He is enthusiastically touting the endorsement of Horace Sheffield III, an influential Detroit pastor and radio host who once he praised on Nation of Islam Minister, Louis Farrakhan. Sheffield endorsed Abdul El-Sayed on air in November 2025, with the Senate hopeful issuing a press release to commemorate the occasion and saying he was deeply honored to have his support. The Washington Free Beacon has reported that the El Cyan campaign had paid a nonprofit run by Sheffield $75,000 for consulting fees between October 2025 and June of this year. So Sheffield endorsed him, obviously, and of course Sheffield was very tight with Louis Farrakhan. So who is the base for Abdul El-Sayed? Well, I mean, I can show you the base for Abdul El-Sayed Memory TV, which has a great job translating from Arabic and Persian into English. Well, they got tape of a mosque in Dearborn, Michigan, Shia Mosque in Dearborn, Michigan. And I wonder, I wonder who Abdul El-Sayed's base of support is. Who could it be, possibly, who? He says, the time has come, Allah willing, is Imam Husham al-Husaini. For those who represent us to reach Washington. For the Zionist low lives who spent millions of dollars to stop this surge to be humiliated.

Allah refuses everything short of perfecting his light, even if the polytheists and the infidels hate that. And then he spoke at this mosque. How do we make sure that they have the health care that they need here? Who's campaigning here? And meanwhile, there's also a question of what the consequences of our politics are for people living thousands of miles away in the countries from where we and our families come. And the story too often of why we don't have health care or good schools is the story of why. We're spending money to do the wrong things there. I'm asking that our community stand up, step out, and fight. Again, I love how he's just using the logic backwards. It is not that he wants the money that we are spending abroad to come home and be spent on health care. That's nonsense. That's nonsense. That might be what some right-wing isolationists are arguing. That is not what Abdul El-Sayed is arguing. He's arguing overtly, really, that the United States should basically just surrender to radical Islam abroad and at home. That's really what he would like. And El-Sayed openly campaigns on his hatred for Israel, on his solidarity with radical Muslims. It is the tip of the spear. It is a purposeful strategy because, again, he's building off that base. Remember, Dearborn has at least 50 to 60,000 Muslims living in it. The total Muslim voting population of Michigan is somewhere between 200 and 300,000 people. Well, in a primary campaign, that's a pretty solid base from which to vote. The Council on American Islamic Relations did an exit poll of Muslim voters in Michigan in 2024. They found 60% of them voted for, wait for it. Jill Stein, why? Because Joel Stein was the most radically anti-American and anti-Israel candidate in the race. And so if you can use hundreds of thousands of voters as your base and then you build a coalition off of that, that gives you a really, really heavy advantage. Remember, a competitive Senate primary in Michigan for the Democrats might draw 900,000 or a million votes. Well, what if you have right off the bat, 150,000 or 200,000 votes on your side? I mean, this is why enclaves matter. And his candidacy is symptomatic of the entire coalition of scavengers the Democratic Party has decided to build upon. Again, the goal here is to create a coalition of people who all hate the system. And this is why you end up with a bunch of weird bedfellows, but they all have the same object, which is to destroy the system. And listen to this list. El-Sayed lists to all of the people he's quote-unquote not bought off by. Now, we know who he is bought off by, and that is radical Muslims who support him, the DSA socialists. And he's running around some pretty expensive watches, so he's lived the high life here in America. Here's El-Sayed. Again, notice the coalition. It's the coalitional strategy that matters here. It's always funny to me that... People want to say that this state votes for moderates when it voted for Donald Trump twice. It may just be that the better explanation is not that the state wants moderates. It's that it's so sick and tired of the establishment bought off by corporations on both sides of the political aisle that it was willing to hold its nose and vote for Donald Trump twice. Now, what happens if the alternative to the bought-off establishment happens to be instead of a narcissistic, megalomaniacal billionaire?

a doctor who rebuild health departments to eliminate medical debt and put glasses on kids' faces. I'm willing to test that proposition. So what's my answer? What do I say to a voter? Hey, I'm not bought off by the corporations who bought off your politics for a very long time. I don't take money from DTE, so I'm not going to be putting a data center in your backyard. I'm not bought off by big pharma, so I'm not going to kick off an opioid epidemic or raise your prescription drug prices. I'm not bought off by Blue Crossville Shield, so I'm not interested in raising your premium. I'm also not bought off by APAC, so I want to keep your tax dollars here to build your schools here instead of sending it abroad. And I actually think that that's probably going to win some votes in Michigan. Again, notice what he's doing there. He's cobbling together all these left-wing causes, and then he's tossing an A-PAC also. Again, the idea is, those are your enemies, right? Those are the system. Now, again, he's one of the cool kids. So he's welcome at all the same left-wing pool parties as the normal regular insane leftists. The fact that he has the sort of exotic love for radical Islam is part of the package. Literally the day before his primary, who's at a content creator's pool party. hanging out with, you know, a bunch of the cool kids. A bunch of the cool. Look at how cool these kids are. They're so cool. Man, they're so cool. Again, the coalition is the thing here. These people, it is amazing. It is truly amazing how suicidal the radical left is. Because the reality is if people like Abdul El-Sayed ever took like total power in a country, the radical left would not be in good stead. But again, He is just part of the coalition in the destruction of the thing because the coalition is the thing. Radical leftists plus radical Muslims. What a grand coalition. And this brings us to Francesca Hong. She is the member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and part-time bartender who's running for governor in Wisconsin. She knows her coalition. That is why in the closing days of her primary campaign, she is campaigning with Hasan Piker and Ilhan Omar. And explaining, I mean, she just says it right out loud. This is the coalition. The coalition is radical Muslims and people who love Chairman Mao. And you know, like just normal crazy libs. Like that's the coalition. Here's Francesca Hong explaining. Is it a risk of hearing alongside these guys as you've got to frame and headed to the general? There would be risk not to try to build the broadest coalition possible. Oh, well, the broadest coalition. That's the important thing. That's the important thing. And she says that the DSA national platform actually is not radical enough. She needs to have a foreign policy plank. I mean, Ilhan Omar standing right there. The foreign policy plank would be, quote, unquote, a right to self-determination. Not for Jews in the Middle East, of course. She really means for Palestinian radicals in the Gaza Strip.

the entire DSA national platform. What would you add to it if you could add something or what do you think is missing? I think there should be a right to self-determination that everyone has the freedom to be themselves and that we're protecting communities and their right to be able to be themselves. What does that even mean? What the hell does that even mean? Well, that lady is likely, according to Kalshi, to be the nominee in Wisconsin, this crazy lady. We'll play more of this crazy lady in a second because she cray. Okay, on April 3rd, according to the Kalshi markets, she's a 33% likelihood to be the gubernatorial nominee in Wisconsin. Today, 96%. What does that mean, as we've been talking about? The Kalshi markets show that when the radicals rise in the Democratic Party, they have a worst shot of winning the actual general election. Republicans only had a 25% shot in the Kalshi markets of winning the general election for governor in Wisconsin on April 3rd. Today, it's 52%. But remember, the coalition is just about hating America. That's the entire thing. It's the entire thing. So Francesca Hong is perfect for this because she hates America. She hates it. So she says she has a white son and this puts her in proximity to whiteness. This is the kind of person who the Democrats are now building around. It's the coalition. The whole thing is coalitional. I wasn't always aware of the struggles of other communities of color because for me, assimilation always kind of took over. And so I did marry my proximity to whiteness continues, right? My son is biracial. He's half white and half Korean. And I think navigating what his identity is and how people perceive him is always at the back of my mind as well.

So her own son puts her in proximity to whiteness. She has to apologize for that. I mean, she's perfect. She's perfect. Flashback 2020. She says that the service industry and tipping are rooted in white supremacy. This is the person Democrats are nominating for governor of Wisconsin. We are finally having this conversation about, you know, how our industry really did come from, and kind of is rooted in white supremacy, that tipping in itself, if we look at the history of tipping and how racist it is and how it has kept wages low for black people for very long time. And if you look at tipping now, how different the scales are in terms of who receives higher percentages of tips over other folks. Hmm, tipping. Everything is racist. Everything that is indicative of the status quo is racist and terrible. Back in 2019, she tweeted, I ate two bites of my kids cheeseburger out of Culvers in Black River Falls and told them they ran out of ice cream. Mostly just wanted to leave because I was on the verge of an anxiety attack. Too many old white people. Two is spelled T-O. She's missing a O. Too many old white people who didn't think we spoke English. Wow. Wow. What a heroine. She also said that it's about time that we 86 Trump, of course. In the restaurant industry, when we're out of something, we say it's 86th. And I'd say it's about time we 86 Trump. He represents the utter failure of our government to keep us safe from threats, both viral and systemic. They decided that this nutty lady was their best shot. But again, it's about to caution. In 2019, by the way, she doesn't enjoy fireworks, so good things to know. She also hates Valentine's Day as well. And it turns out that she would also like to, the reason, by the way, she hates Valentine's Day is because it is another day capitalism tells you how to show love. She hates love because people take people out to dinner sometimes, and that's capitalism. Also, she wanted to cancel Thanksgiving in 2020. She tweeted that Thanksgiving was bad. Canceled Thanksgiving. This should have been done in 1621. If it takes a worldwide pandemic for us to realize we should stop celebrating colonialism and the original super spreader event that killed indigenous folks and women and women. So be it. None of the indigenous folks were women apparently. And women. So be it. This intelligent person. Well, she was asked about this idiotic tweet on CNN and she doubled down with Caitlin Susan Collins. Do you still believe that Thanksgiving should be canceled? I'm a chef and one of the first meals that I made that was for the community when I was 16 was a Thanksgiving meal. I always think my hospitality background in owning a restaurant for seven, eight years that bringing folks around the table to share conversation and build community is always a good thing. But Thanksgiving is also a time that's incredibly painful for many people in our communities. And so I think there I wanted to make sure that people understood that there are multiple views, but views can evolve. And the position that I'm running for right now, and I think my background as a chef, will actually help me become a better governor that's able to bring more people to the table. Does anyone get the creepy cult vibe from this lady? Just the same way they get it from Mom'sani?

Like the speaking like this, you know, just always with a smile, just speaking like this all the time. All you really have to do is go in that back room. Just go in the back room. It'll be nice. Everything will be great. You won't need your kidneys, do you? On behalf of everyone. Like, what the hell is wrong with you people? Can you just like normal facial expressions? Would that be okay? Can we speak like normal people? Or do we all have to be? What the? More seriously, the feature that makes the current coalition slightly different from left-wing coalitions of the past is that it is purely racialized in nature. It is about race. It's about multiculturalism predominantly. It's not really about the economic program. Again, all of the normal lefties are like, it's just about affordability and higher taxes. And then they're surprised when they are listing your home address online because it's not about that. It's why Bernie was always a bit of an awkward fit as the leader of this movement. Because Bernie, if you recall, used to be more post-racial about his Marxism, right? He was an Orthodox Marxist who believed that race would be obliterated by the rise of socialism. But the new coalition is not about the Marxism. It's just about the complete destruction of the civilization, which is why Hasan Piker is out there saying that socialism is really not about Bernie Sanders or even Marx. It's about MLK and Malcolm X, right? It's about the racial coalition building. Reminder and think it back in that way. Yeah. As much as I love Bernie Sanders, like he's not the face of like historical social system in this country. It's it's MLK and it's not. Yeah, yeah. And I think like that is, I mean that's been deliberately cast aside I feel like because look we have a white supremacist education system. So all the young people that even are paying attention to school are her are learning a very different version of events. Yeah.

And they're not getting the true historically accurate version of, you know, black liberationist movements. Yeah. So we'll see. We got, I think, and remind the people of Black Panther Party. I don't know. I feel like importing Chank Uyghur and his entire extended family was probably a mistake. That was probably not a great idea. Anyway. Burning things down is the point, which of course is why Francesca Hong has been pretty supportive of the Corey Ruiz Autonomous Zone. So Wisconsin has had, of course, many BLM riots in the past, and BLM took over an area on behalf of a guy named Corey Ruiz. Corey Ruiz was a serial felon who tried to attack a police officer. The officers told the suspect to drop the knife on multiple occasions and tried to use a bunch of non-lethal tactics to gain compliance, including taser and hands-on. A couple of officers were injured, and then eventually they had to shoot him. But this led to the rise of an autonomous zone in Wisconsin. Okay, what does an autonomous zone mean? It means just basically a lawless area that is run by protesters and rioters. And Francesca Hong then put out a statement on the autonomous zone. And of course, She says, our community is grieving and demanding accountability. Direct action and civil disobedience are valid forms of protest. At the same time, people also need access to their homes and businesses. I've been working to connect organizers with resources and help address those immediate needs while supporting the right to demonstrate. So again, she's not opposing it. Again, here is the thing. This crap, all of this, this radicalism, the victory of this radicalism, it all starts with enclaves. It all starts with a concerted, hardened group of people who all believe the same thing. And then you build coalitions with other people who have the same broad overall goals. And it moves more broadly. You know, it was easy to say New Yorkers being New Yorkers, not the true national problem. But when the coalition of scavenger starts taking congressional seats in Colorado and senatorial seats in Michigan, maybe, and gubernatorial seats in Wisconsin, you are watching your country destroyed in real time. All because of our original sin. allowing our tolerance and multiculturalism and refusal to teach the superiority of Western values to destroy us. We imported tons of people who hate our civilization. We cultivated an entire generation of young people who also hate our civilization. And now they've created a coalition people who wish to destroy our civilization. And this means, according to Hasan Piker, that they're going to take Michigan and Wisconsin off the table. By the way, I should just remind you, if Donald Trump had lost Michigan and Wisconsin in the last election cycle, he would have lost the election. These are vital states. And if these turn DSA red, I mean, if these turn DSA dark blue or commie red, that is going to be a problem. Here's Hasan Piker. The reason why I brought up Michigan. The reason why I brought up Michigan is because I think it was Michael Moore in 2016 who said, Michigan's not a swing state. And neither is Wisconsin. These are not swing states. They've been turned into swing states because they've left you behind. But we are going to bring back the working class to both Wisconsin and to Michigan. A Republican will never be elected in this state ever again once our movement is done.

The insanity of the fact that this person has taken seriously and has a following is just, it is wild. Now, the norming democratic response to all this stuff should be, this is not likely to lead to political victory. The vast majority of Americans don't like this stuff. This, of course, is Bill Maher's point, and he is correct. I'm just going to say it, since the far left, the far, far left is overwhelmingly made up of affluent, ultra-woke, white people. You raised your kids wrong. You told your precious brats that every brain fart was genius, and now those brain farts are becoming Democratic Party policy. Francesca Hong, yet another major Democratic candidate who's all in on abolishing, abolishing the police, and is running for governor of Wisconsin says, I think that my perfect world would be a world without prisons. Because we all see the humanity in one another, and then we know nobody's disposable. Well, murder victims are. I mean, if you heard this kind of nonsense coming out of the mouth of a teenage beauty queen, it would be an eye roll. Okay, but that is not where the Democrats are going. Instead, they are trying to feed off the energy. They're trying to feed the alligator one toe at a time. And they think they'll be able to buy off the radicals by talking about the electoral college or racial gerrymandering or something. You know, we'll just pat them on the head and then they won't eat us. wrong. I mean, this is what Kamala Harris is trying to do. She still wants to run for president. And, of course, she's pledging to revisit the electoral college and expand the court, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C. Again, these are all extremely radical propositions, very, very radical propositions. And I'll tell you what, they sound dull next to the DSA. Don't they? They sound to dope next to the bright colors of the DSA. Here is Kamala Harris. And we must. allow for a real conversation about revisiting certain things. For example, and I know this is going to be controversial coming from me in particular, we need to revisit the Electoral College. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court to 13 justices like we have 13 district courts. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C. Again, like this stuff, it's like, I know this will make, it didn't make one headline. It didn't make one headline because Democrats have been saying it for a while. It probably won't be able to do it. Some of these things require actual constitutional amendments. And beyond that, it just sounds boring. It just sounds boring. This is the problem for people to judge, too. Pete Buttigieg trying to campaign to the radicals by saying what would have been radical things four years ago. It doesn't sound like anything. He was on with Diary of a CEO. And he was talking about pure democracy and all the rest. But it sounds boring. It does. This is the problem for him.

And I still can't believe that anybody considers this radical. Like, to me, it's, there's nothing radical about thinking the person who gets the most votes ought to be the winner. But I think people haven't thought through how much benefit would come from that. Because we did that. There are so many votes in red and blue states that you couldn't ignore anymore. Like, if you were running for president as a Democrat, you'd have to go to Texas. Yeah. And even if... Texas is still going to vote mostly for Republicans. You'd have to turn out every Democratic vote you could in Texas. And I just think we'd be so much better off if a Republican and Democratic candidate were competing over Texas. And by the way, New York, even if New York is definitely going to vote more for Democrats, a Republican candidate would have to come to New York. And states from Alaska to Rhode Island, so it's small states too. They get ignored now would finally be part of this competition. So yeah, Electoral College for sure. Supreme Court needs to change. What did you do to the Supreme Court? I would have term limits, more justices, and some process that makes it less partisan who the justices are. Some different ways to do that. The one I think is most interesting is called a balanced bench proposal. He still talks. No one cares. But anyway, the point is that it needs to change. Karen lies the problem. No one cares. Your party's getting eaten, my dude. No one cares. But in the end, it doesn't matter because the traditional Democratic Party has total crossover with the DSA when it comes to the thing they actually care about, which, of course, is the class war. Listen to Pete Buttigieg's case for higher taxes. His case for higher taxes is not a stronger country. His case for higher taxes is, as always, penalizing people. That's what it's about. Whenever we figure out a way to make sure you can't hide all of your wealth or all of your income from being fairly taxed, very wealthy people will figure out some other place to hide it. Yeah. And then we'll have to develop a new policy to deal with that. I guess my point is that's okay. Too often we have just hesitated to do anything, refused to do anything because it might be hard or because it might not last. But if the idea that somebody will figure out a way around this law meant that you shouldn't have the law, that would be an argument against having any law. So it's messy. It's hard. But I am sure that if we had a more reasonable rate of taxation on capital gains and on corporate income, and if we made it harder to pass along wealth, especially inherited wealth, without paying any taxes on it, or some of these other maneuvers, like this borrowing thing you're talking about, we would have a fairer country because we'd still have capitalism. There'd still be lots of motivation and lots of reason to innovate and build a business and create jobs and do all the things that very wealthy people have done. And also, we would be out of this doom loop where they're saying, well, we can't possibly have as good health care as other countries. It's so tepid. It's so tepid. I get that he wants to draft off again the energy of the DSA because they want to eat the rich and he only wants to nibble on the rich. But let's be real about this. The DSA is the captain now. The new coalition is the coalition. That is the coalition. Good luck. So all of this would leave some running room for Republicans if they were half competent. This should leave some running room. Again, those calcium markets show when the radical left rises, so do Republican chances in a general election.

All you have to do is be not crazy. And so again, this has always been Trump's appeal. President Trump's appeal has been that when he says basically obvious things, people kind of like it. So here was the president yesterday talking about blue cities. The blue cities have something in common crime, high crime, vicious violent crime. But what do they have in common? They're all dirty. They're filthy, dirty. Their streets are dirty. Their streets smell. Their storefronts are broken. Their trees are all gross. Everything about the place is dirty. And I don't want to mention any specific city. It's really all of them. But you go into these cities that are blue, they're crime-ridden, and they're filthy, dirty. Okay. And again, I think that this sort of thing has always worked for Trump. It's also true that he understands on a pretty clear level what we've been talking about, that if you decide mass immigration is going to solve your problems, or if you decide to destroy your own energy resources, you've got a problem. Look, you have to stop illegal immigration in Europe. I know Europe better than anybody, better than the people that run it and have great relationships. Two things are killing Europe. Number one is immigration. Number two is energy. Okay, so again, he is right about all of that. So you have to say obvious things, and you also do have to police your own. So the Republicans, to their credit, have been doing a slightly better job than the Democrats of policing their own. Remember, Democrats were totally willing to run Raby McBeard over in Maine. They were totally fine with that. They're still perfectly willing to run people who are like obviously associated with al-Qaeda in Congress. The House Republicans are actually making some moves against their own. So yesterday, according to Axios, the House Ethics Committee found Representative Chuck Edwards of North Carolina violated House rules by failing to adhere to the spirit of rules prohibiting sexual harassment of an unwanted advances to House staffers. And they recommended that he be censured after concluding that he violated the Code of Official Conduct by failing to act in a manner that reflects creditably upon the House. Apparently. He wrote one staff for a flattering poem he read aloud at her office-wide going away party, and he vacationed with a then-former staffer in Las Vegas, where he arranged for flowers to be waiting in her Belasio hotel room, so he's being kind of a creeper, it sounds like, and he'll be censored. Meanwhile, there's a mobilization on the right side of the aisle against a congressman named Max Miller in Ohio. A lot of allies of President Trump and Senator Bernie Moreno. He is, Max Miller's married to Moreno's daughter, are calling for Miller to drop out. amid claims of domestic abuse from his ex-wife. Some top House Republicans have been phoning the White House asking for the White House to pressure Miller to drop out. The president actually called up Miller and said his candidacy was in trouble and that things weren't looking good. And it's now being reported that Stephanie Grisham, who's a former top Trump aide, filed a restraining order against him back in 2021, suggesting that he was abusive toward her. Again, the Republicans should go after all of their bad Congress people and replace them. That includes people presumably like Max Miller and also Cory Mills. That would be a good way of doing it. Now, here's what not to do. Here's what not to do. If you're the Republicans, there are a few things you probably shouldn't do. So one thing you probably shouldn't do is randomly fib about things and then get caught in the fib. So remember that whole reflecting pool thing? Remember how the reflecting pool it turns out is a good idea. You know, replacing the bottom of the reflecting pool to make it pretty or is nice. But the person who actually did the reflecting pool, it sounds like did kind of a crappy job.

Well, then the administration trotted out this story that people were going to the reflecting pool and deliberately kind of ripping chunks off the bottom of the reflecting pool or taking a knife and scraping it along the bottom of the reflecting pool and all the rest of this. And this resulted in a prosecution of a man named David Hearn by the U.S. District Attorney in D.C. Janine Piro. Gene Piro, of course, had a show on Fox. Well, according to the Associated Press. Hearn said he was on a bike ride June 19th when he reached in to examine the pool's newly peeled coating and briefly touched a chunk attached to the side of the pool. He said he obeyed a park worker who told him to let go of it while the charges were filed and then they were dropped. Well, Trump, of course, had said in April that he had consulted with a trio of firms that worked on swimming pools at his properties and that the one he picked for the reflecting pool project had actually worked on his golf course in northern Virginia. They were given an almost $15 million no-bid contract to repaint and waterproof the concrete floor. The president on Monday then said that he didn't know the contractor and said that he wasn't pleased by the work. He said the contractor was rushing. We wanted to get it open for July 4th. Well, he's actually really pissed at Janine Piro because the charges were basically dismissed and dropped. And so now he's mad at Piro and might be firing her for not doing a, what, credible job of going after the people who supposedly deface the reflecting pull. Come on. I think this is just this is just bad politics. It's silly. There's no reason for it. Like if the Reflecting Pool guy effed it up, just say he effed it up and now we're going to claw back his payments and we're going to fix it. Like it's actually not that hard. But here is Trump going after, again, Janine Piro has been like the biggest Trump loyalist in the administration. And here he was going after Gene Piro. Like, is this a good look? I don't think so. Anyway, it looked beautiful. And then they cut it and they vandalized. And we weren't necessarily thrilled with the contractor, but they did a job and they were fixing any problems. But then it got carried away because the judge was extremely unfriendly to Janine. And frankly, I think she choked because the judge was really vicious. Instead of going after the people that did it, the judge went after her and went after her department. And I guess you choked. I don't know what the hell happened. You're reconsidering her role. I don't know what. You're fake news. Don't, don't have a talk again. You're fake news. One of the worst in the business. Fortunately, nobody watches you. Again, like the little insults, they're fine in context. But like, again, asking what, Piro apparently was spotted, leaving the White House like a white box. Like, this is just silly stuff. It's silly stuff. Senator John Robert F. Kennedy Jr., again, an ally of the president. He said the reflecting pool guy is likely to sue the government for botched indictment now. This is the kind of stuff you just don't need. You just don't need. We'll get to more on this in a moment. Seriously, if you want to say that we're just going to sit here and we're going to maintain the blockade or we're just going to maintain the sanctions and relieve the blockade or we're going to leave it to our allies in the middle east to deal with all of this, just do it. But the hokey pokey in and out puts our allies on the line. It puts our credibility on the line. It blows out our credibility. Every time the president says that we are going to do a World War II style bombing campaign against it. We're going to obliterate them. We're going to destroy them. And then it turns out, that they continue to fire at chipping in the Strait of Hormuz, continue to fire at U.S. bases. And our response is, oh, oh, oh, I guess we can't do that. I guess we can't do it. You know, probably we need to negotiate. Like, that is not a way to project power. And if you're, even if you want a positive negotiation to come out of this, which I think everyone should, if such a thing is possible, if you want any sort of negotiation to go well, you must be credible in your threats. But when you say there's talk, like Iran is calling us up, they want to talk every day. And then they come out and they say, we're not doing that. And then it turns out the only people the Iranians are talking to are the Omanis who exist on the other side of the Strait of Hormuz. That's not a great look. And the president yesterday put out a truth on truth social.

saying, quote, Iranian leadership is unbelievably duplicitous. I mean, it's not unbelievable to some of us. I mean, I feel like it's actually quite credibly duplicitous. They lie all the time. This is literally how they do negotiations. They ask for a meeting. Some would say beg, talks begin with more scheduled in the immediate future, and they say openly and proudly. They're not having any discussions that nothing is being talked about. They're only dealing with Amman. They then go on to give their usual blather and saying the strait of Hormuz will be operated powerfully by them when it is already completely controlled by the United States Navy and our blockade, or as some say, the United States wall of steel. Nothing gets through to Iran unless we want it to get through unless a deal or total surrender is accomplished. Whether Iran wants to admit it or not, we are in fact talking of a solution to a problem they have caused for decades. It's very simple. Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Okay, well then the president said. that Iran is finding out information about our negotiation strategy and military strategy because of leakers. That's true. So fire them. Why is this difficult? I don't understand. Why is this difficult? These are closed rooms. These discussions are being had by like seven people. It is not difficult to tell who is leaking. This would take five seconds of intuitive thought to figure out who is leaking. From the administration, all the information that's coming out about shortages and interceptors or shortages and shortages and missiles or all their, like, I wonder who could be doing it. It's a giant mystery wrapped in enigma. What a gigantic mystery it is. But here's the president saying it's leakers, but okay, if it's leakers, find them and fire them. In an international negotiation, you cannot have people leaking information about your military readiness. Isn't this obvious? So they called me. And they said, please don't attack. We'll make a deal. That's the real truth. And everyone knows it. And who wouldn't call? And they found out through leaks and sleaze bags, you know, a lot of sleaze bags, leakers. Leakers should be put in jail. They should have to strengthen up the laws. So do it. But in this case, leakers helped because they said the severity of the attack. And Iran knew it. They knew what was coming. Okay, but Iran right now is apparently negotiating a deal with the United States in which essentially they keep control of the straight of foremost. Let's be honest. I mean, we'll see what the deal looks like right now, apparently today. There's a deal that is coming to fruition. Qatar is very excited about this because, of course, Qatar works for Iran. So they are ecstatic about all of this. But... the administration from the Secretary of State to the Secretary of Treasury, they're saying that we're very close to a deal to open the straight. What does opening the straight mean? I suppose we'll find out. I said, listen, and if the administration is somehow able to rest a deal from the Iranians in which they give up the future of nuclear weapons and the strait is now open to traffic without Iranian permission or policing, then great. I have some doubts.

We are in talks with the Iranians, and I think there is a chance we may have a deal today or tomorrow to open the strait and move towards a more normalized position in this conflict. And that's because their air force is wiped out, their Navy is wiped out, substantial portion or their missiles are wiped out. More importantly, their missile production capability is wiped out. Okay, again, all that's great. Let's see the deal. We will find out because last time we cut a magical deal, it turned out not only to be a crappy deal, it turned out to be not even adhered to by the Iranians. The magical MOU that was going to radically change our relationship with Iran, where everyone was going to get along because they were so reasonable, and it turns out it wasn't any of those things. So I will wait to see the deal. Again, I remain skeptical because Iran does not have a wonderful history of adhering to deals that it cuts, and the United States does not have a history of cutting amazing deals with Iran. historically speaking. So we will find out. We'll find out. But I will say the discombobulation is not helpful. It really is not. Okay. On the cultural front, we must talk about the tweets that are being sent from Birmingham jail, apparently, by Andrew Tate. So Andrew Tate apparently has access to tweet things. And the profundities that are emerging from the mouth of this admitted pornographer and pimp. an alleged sex trafficker and child pornographer, some of the greatest wisdom. I'm so glad he had so many allies on the right, Andrew Tate. What a genius he is. And without these pearls of wisdom, how would you even function in a society? So Andrew Tate put out a tweet early this morning, a tragic tweet. Quote, If you are sad on a yacht, you are sad. If you are happy in jail, you are happy. Absolutely nothing matters outside of your state of mind. Few. Period. I don't know what the few means. I got to admit, I don't know what that means. But thank you for the jazzy synopsis of Victor Frankel. And then he also put out one tweet, a profound tweet yesterday. Cells are small rooms hypercharged with negative energy. Full grown men crying tears after murdering their wives. Suicides in the middle of the night. It takes constant chi to repel the spiritual attacks. These are like some really bad haikus. So I'm getting the syllables right. They're hypercharged negative energy. It takes constant chi to repel the spiritual attacks. The Dalai Lama over here. You know, the Dalai Lama who is allegedly sex trafficking the ladies. But what, you know, I think we have to keep an eye on the amount, just the pure amount of unbridled genius coming out of this jail cell. And how this man can do this kind of incredible work while he's being surrounded by murderers and screaming cannibals. Again, he said that the person next door is a cannibal who screams all night. Again, the screaming cannibals, amazing name for a garage man. You know, we'll keep an eye because the greatest wisdom often comes from dark places from people alleged to have trafficked in women. Also, apparently, I have to say on the cultural front, I've been informed by producer Justin, and I would not know this, not in the slightest, obviously, because I mean, look at me. But apparently, on the TikToks, there's a song that has gone viral. It is called Rubbers by Phoenix Flexin and Perps on the beat. And the question is whether the song was created using AI. If it was used, if it was created using AI, it would be the first AI song to make the Billboard Hot 100. Okay, we shall now evaluate.

Swiping cards and stacking chips. I saw your sinking ships. Let me stand in the pouring rain. Now I bought a heavy diamond chain. My pocket's getting thicker. The watch is moving quicker. My knee talk is much louder now. But I can't sleep through the night. Can't sleep through the night to see the face in the glass. Why do you call when you're short on cash? Can't sleep through the night. What is even happening right now? Is there a chorus system? This is the chorus? This is the chorus? This is the chorus? A declining scale? The chorus was just like, a declining scale? This is bad. This is legit terrible. If AI created this, it just shows that AI is mid. Yeah, people keep talking about this Puerto Rico AI song, and apparently was significantly better. This is crap. So why are people into this on TikTok? I need an explainer. Why are people into this? Are they into it ironically because it's really, really bad? Or are they like legitimately into this song? I need someone to explain. I mean, it really is quite terrible. So producer Justin, it's on you to explain to me why this is happening to all of us. Okay, so people think it's good because people apparently have suffered from significant... So people like it because it's different from rap music. Well, it turns out all other forms of music are different from rap music. This is quite awful. Wow. This is just... trash. It doesn't even rise to the level of an earworm. You're not going to wake them in the middle of the night going, done, done, done, done, done. Like, there's nothing here. There's absolutely nothing here. I think that, man, if this is symptomatic of the frontal lobotomy we performed on ourselves as a culture, then, yeah, I mean, that may be where we are. It may be just as simple as that. Maybe the entire United States at this point, or the entire population of TikTok is suffering from a significant brain problem and or a serious inner ear issue.
