16 segmentsDo the dumb stuff. Dumb stuff you need to know before eight. Because this is dumb. But this is dumb, dumb, dumb, me being dumb, dumb, here we go. Do you know how in the world we all bemoan the fact that we signed up for something? a subscription, and it just keeps going, and then we forget about it, and then you realize you've been paying on something for a while, right? We all have that. I think a lot of us have that, not all of us, but a lot of us have that. And then there's companies that will even go out there and find them for you and cancel them and all that. So, over the weekend, as we've told you a couple of times, we went down to Springfield to see the women's professional baseball league opener, had a great time, stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel. And somewhere around in there, I'm pretty sure at the bar after the game, I left my debit card. So, Yvonne was kind enough to call the bank. We canceled the card. Yesterday I got a new card. Let's review. I have a new card with a new number and a new expiration date, new code on the back and all that stuff. As a result, I just got an email from someplace called the NFHS Network said, hey, we weren't able to process your recent payment. update your payment information today so you don't lose access. I looked at that and said, I don't know what that is. So I looked it up. And that is a streaming service so that we can watch high school sports. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. That we subscribe to to watch. When Justice was in high school. And he is a junior of Bradley. So, hey, hey, let's look at it half full. Good news is, because I lost my card, we just saved some money or are going to save money because they're no longer going to charge us because they don't have the good card anymore. Bad news is it's been at least three years we've been paying. Gosh darn it. Seriously. And don't you know, I mean, if you're like us anyway, there's probably a half a dozen other ones out there somewhere. Sure, because you do that stuff in the moment. You do it in the moment and then you don't realize it's an automatic redo or whatever. And I don't know if this is once a month or once a year payment. I bet it was once a year. And it just happened to be coincidental. Let's find out. I don't want to talk to them anymore. I don't want to call them because they're already, I'm out. I'm out. Go ahead, do dumb stuff. Dumb stuff, you need to know. That's fine. Dumb stuff that I won't get in trouble with. Florida, Florida, where you go to see the sun, you go down there and hang out with Mr. Sun, Mr. Sun, Mr. Golden Sun. Have more indoor tanning salons than they do McDonald's.
indoor tanning salons in Florida. Huh. Why would you do that? Because you don't have time to go to the beach. The beach takes some time. Or laying out takes time. You can get baked up in 30 minutes and you fall asleep. It's nice. And you're naked usually. So it works out great. Unless you're still pondering. I am. I'm sorry. Dumb stuff. You need to know before eight. Okay. Now this one's going to gross you out a little bit. So I'm going to clean it up. Okay. Ready? Okay. It involves things. There are 96 bags on the moon that contain certain things. Certain things that come out of a human. I'm going to go one, two, three. I'll go one. That makes sense. Two, yes, that makes sense. And three is if you get sick to your stomach and something comes out that way. There are 96 bags laying on the moon. Now, here's my question. Permission to ask a question. Why do you just bring it back? Why did you leave it? Toss it in the bag. That's littering the moon. Yeah, you're littering the moon. We talked about that earlier today. Don't litter the moon with bags of that stuff. Do it again. Dumb stuff you need to know before eight. A poll said if you are being called for jury duty, would you prefer to have to serve on a jury or not serve? 34% of us said we would rather serve. Guess the demographic of the people that most likely want to serve on a jury. Where do they live? What part of the country? Midwest. Correct? And how old are they? Boomers? White boomers. Me. It's me. And I am one of those guys. I got picked a few years ago. And the jury was, I was picked. I was excited about it. It was a pretty rough case. And then I got called or like, yeah, there's going to be a delay. We'll have to pick a new jury. And I was super disappointed. Have you served on a jury? Like actually been on the jury? What was the nature of the case? Can you say? I believe a woman had a car accident and hurt her wrist in the accident and then said that she needed time off work to tend to the wrist. And that was it. And worked and believed that she was as injured as she said she was. Guilty. Was she guilty? I was in alternate, so I listened to the whole thing but was not allowed to actually deliberate. That's kind of a bummer. It was kind of a bummer. That is a bummer. Dumb stuff. Dumb stuff. You need to know before eight. There is a new trend called protein maxing. All one word, protein maxing, two axes. It's a trend on TikTok where people try to eat as much protein as possible. It is causing the price of this product to go up because they're using it. baby formula there's a lot of protein and baby formula people have figured that out and adult humans who are not babies are buying the protein packed formula thereby causing the price to go up wow not good and it's already expensive i just got a note from our friend tony who said that uh she also has that app that you have she said it's billed once a year
Oh, thanks, Tony. And I'm not in trouble now, right? Does she want it? Because we didn't want it. We haven't had a high school kid for a long time. She still has one. So that's cool then. I timed it right. I lost my car just as they were charging me. Perfect. That is perfect.
