Or are they about to have victory and take over their party and thus killed the party itself? President Trump says the rounds of talks with Iran will start again today. Iran denies these talks are even happening. The Louisiana Attorney General joins Florida now, ready to investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci and the new Spider-Man movie. Second biggest Hollywood opening in history, bringing in nearly a billion dollars in its opening weekend worldwide, $355 million domestically. The Your Morning Show audience has concluded, and the reason it's the second best ever doesn't mean it's a great movie. It just means we're paying more than ever for movies. And it's a big primary week for election seven states to be exact. Michigan's getting a lot of attention because of Abdul El-Sayed. But we also have Missouri here at home where I live in Tennessee. We've got a state rep who became a U.S. rep, who became a U.S. senator, now at virtually life expectancy running for governor. Kansas, Hawaii, Washington, and Virginia. Our Republican analyst Chris Walker is joining us to preview the big races to watch. Good morning, Chris. Good morning. My daughter went to watch Spider-Man yesterday. And I told her on my dislike of Tom Holland. So, you know, there you go. Why do you dislike him? I thought he was so bad in The Odyssey. I just couldn't. He's now on a, he's got a blacklist for me for a while. Oh, all right. I did Young Washington, loved it. I did the tuner and loved it. I'm getting drug reluctantly to Spider-Man today. I'll let you know what I think. These are some pretty big races. I think arguably the race in Michigan for the U.S. Senate, probably the big one everyone's watching because we've been following this. run of socialism in democratic primaries. Yeah, I mean, Michigan is the key because it looks, because so much of it depends on the Democrats trying to win the Senate, they need Michigan to stay Democrat. And if they nominate Abdul El-Sayed, which is looking very possible that they do.

You know, we're looking at a potential where Gary Peters is a much better option for a lot of, you know, kind of middle of the road Democrats and moderates in the state. So the Democrats choice here will be very, very interesting. Are they going passion or are they going for potential wins? And we're seeing this across the board with the Democrats right now, these young DSAs that are, you know. embracing socialism in a way that is troubling to those of us who know history and see what happens when candidates and movements embrace socialism. We've seen it over and over and over again in history, and yet these kids seem to think it's a new idea. But, you know, Michigan is a very blue state in general. And so, you know, who the Democrats pick will... It'll probably be the front runner for the actual Senate seat, then that will be a troubling issue not only for Republicans to show can we beat somebody that radical, but if a state like Michigan does elect someone that radical, then all of a sudden, you know, not that I think that's a national trend, but it certainly does seem to pretend where the Democrats are going. And if Republicans can't beat that, then we have a larger cultural issue in this country that we need to address. So the Democrats' first mistake is allowing this to enter their party in the name of Big Ten. Then once it infiltrates, it begins to agitate the creation of the squad. Now the creation of an all-out socialist takeover of the party and stopping it. I mean, when you say blue state, how much of that blue is Bill Mar blue? How much of that state is? Joe Manchin blue. How much of that state is James Carvel blue versus red, communist, socialist? And would they address this problem within themselves by even voting for a Republican? Well, we know the state did not long ago in the 2024 presidential when they went for Trump. So it's possible. That's right. Could be a problem. Well, and that would, it's a great question because ultimately, you know, the 2024 election does. show a bellwether that it's potentially more of a you know there's there's more joe mansion democrats and there are you know Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez democrats and that's that's a positive for the country um but in but you know we'll see the the this is my general issue with primaries It tends to wield itself to a very passionate minority of an electorate that then picks a candidate that the general election is stuck with in a way that I think doesn't necessarily yield good results sometimes. But it's why I think parties should be back in control of their nominating process unless on the primary thing. But that's on debate for much longer and better time. Yeah, that'd be a longer segment. Yeah, I don't mean to throw that bomb at you. But, you know, there is a lot of passion. And so all of a sudden it turns into a smaller minority people that are picking in Canada like that. And it's very possible that the Democrats nominate this radical that could change the whole balance of how we look at the Democrats heading into 2026. Yeah, and there's something in my gut that says because of the youth involvement.

ignorantly in this social cause and message of socialism. They won't be present in the primary, but they could very much be in play because they'll be back in school at universities come general that he has a shot if he can get through the primary to make it all the way. We'll have to keep an eye on that. What are the other three races you're watching? Well, obviously we're looking, you know, what's interesting to me is Virginia. Obviously with Governor Abigail Spanberger there, you know, turning to state. from what was a purplish state to a far blue state, which I don't think Virginia voters really were intending to vote. No, they got bait and switched. We all know it. Yeah, they did. And so, you know, I'm curious to see if there's a little bit of a pushback with some folks there in terms of how they're looking at this election and how maybe for every massive shift to the left, I think there's a lot of opportunity for Republicans to kind of come back and swing from the other side. You know, and also looking at Missouri, obviously Missouri is not a swing state, but it's a bellwether state in a lot of ways. And I think it'll be curious to see what happens in the races today. And obviously our home city of Tennessee, you mentioned Marsha Blackburn running, you know, for, you know, for the past 30 years. That rate is that nobody's paying attention to that governor's race. And it's very tight. And people are, are, are, have assumed that Marshall is just going to win. And she's not. I mean, she's totally up a couple points. And from early voting returns, it looks like, you know, it's a very, very tight race. And you're seeing it in ads. You're seeing it in, you know, a lot of the posturing of the campaigns. And frankly, I think this is another example of what we saw at, you know, Ken Paxton versus John Cornyn in Texas, where you have. a candidate who, you know, is conservative, but has been in politics for a very, very long time. You see the activist class of the party stepping up and saying, you know, no, we want somebody new. This is somebody different. This isn't a career. We want people that are actually servants and leave. So, you know, I think that's been a racist, it's been under the radar. It's personal for you and me because it's our home state. But I also think it shows a trend within the GOP where there is. kind of a recalcitrance towards incumbency that I think is not being underreported. Well, this is a problem for Republicans in Tennessee created by someone who just choosing, I don't, what would she be, 80 at the end of her first term? Yeah, yeah. They're about. So, you know, her making the choice to run creates the dilemma and the establishment being behind her, name recognition being behind her. I just can't even conceive that. At 80 years old, I will not be, you know, seeking a new talk radio job. If I am blessed to live to 80, I will spend that time with my wife, who is my soulmate, my children, and grandchildren.

I would have much better things to do and there would be much better people at the top of their game capable of serving than me on the radio, let alone in the governor's mansion. I have a personal thing that I wouldn't vote for anybody that uses a filter. So if you're not going to be honest and show me what your face really looks like at 76 years old, I'm not voting for you. I mean, the filter usage of these commercials has been outrageous. But she released a poll that shows her somewhere around 49%, 50%, the Challenger rose at 25% and Monty Fritz at 22%. Are you suggesting it's not that? Decisive? Because I would say there's two questions. One, if Rose or Monty had gotten out of it, I think she'd have been in real trouble. With both in it, she might squeak by. I think that's possible, but I, you know, I don't think there's, there's a doubt that this is a tight race. And it doesn't take, it's not about what the campaigns are saying. It's about how they're spending their money. And, you know, look, she spent nine and a half million dollars, you know, attacking her opponent and putting ads on theirs. But won't debate them. Won't stand up and debate any of them. Yeah, exactly. So, you know, I mean, this is, it's a keep the ball away strategy. It may work, but, you know, ultimately at the end of the day, it's a very tight race. And I think it's, again, it shows where the passion of the Republican Party is in embracing newer candidates because they do not like the idea of. of a, you know, a 30-year politician. It's just not where, where their head is. So it'll be very interesting on Thursday what happened to Tennessee. All right, all lies on Michigan and Tennessee and a little bit of Virginia, but we've got primaries in seven states. Chris Walker, all things Republican, with the preview of the big races, and we'll talk again, probably sooner if conditions warned based on how these results go, especially in Michigan and Tennessee. Investigators believe that the Iranians may be responsible for cyber attacks on municipal water systems in Minnesota and Michigan. Roy will have the very latest on that, and I've got your sounds of the day as well, straight ahead. But first, 25 minutes after the hour, if you're just waking up, these are your top five stories of the day. After a standoff between senators and the Trump administration that lasted for weeks, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche says both sides have reached a deal to end the almost $2 billion anti-weaponization fund. Mark Mayfield reports on its meaning. Todd Blanche said on x that his team had met with senators for weeks to address concerns and praise the discussions as productive he also attached a signed order stating that the may 18th 2026 directive creating the fund is rescinded and shall have no force or effect adding that the move leaves no fund in place. The announcement comes two days before the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on President Trump's nomination of Todd Blanche for Attorney General. The fund, created as part of a settlement in Trump's lawsuit against the IRS, had drawn criticism because its payouts could have extended to January the 6th rioters. I'm Mark Mayfield. Louisiana Attorney General says her state will investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci just like Florida. This comes after Anthony Fauci repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment during a Senate hearing last week. On the advice of counsel, I respectfully declined to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution. Anthony Fauci appeared in front of a Republican-led Senate panel, but invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times. He said it was to avoid Republicans possibly using his testimony. to prosecute him for perjury. It all came, as Muriel said in a post on X that Anthony Fauci claimed to not recall many key details of his own actions, and now we are discovering contemporaneous records he kept. I'm Lisa Cartman. Phil Susan Collins is revealing he came close to death in 2024 as the result of alcohol issues. The musician told the Sunday Times he stopped drinking after a previous health alert in 2012, then started again in 2023. That landed him in the hospital. Colin said his kidneys were failing, added his organs were just seizing up. He also revealed that people were visiting him to say goodbye, but he doesn't really recall much of it. Despite the scare, Colin says he's much healthier now and hasn't had a drink.

And Roger writes, Fremont is a fairly conservative island in the East Bay. My son's best friend lives there. They're very Second Amendment oriented. Believe it or not, there are more conservatives in California than people realize. And there are several pockets like this in the state. I believe that birds have a feather flocked together. And in that case, that one is a happy flocking. Woody writes, of the various issues. and news stories over the weekend. None discussed and infuriated me as much as the numerous WNBA head coaches who refused to speak out in support of women only and women's sports. Now, I can't think of anything that would destroy the WNBA more than to start having biological males play. Or to Red's point, what's the W? Is it woke or women's?

Because if it's the Women's National Basketball Association, there should be nothing shocking or controversial about Sophie Cunningham saying, nothing against trans. I mean no disrespect, certainly no hatred. I just don't think there's a place for biological males in women's sports. And how she's being demonized now, including the coach of her opposing team this weekend, the link's wearing a t-shirt that said trans kids belong. Sophie Cunningham never said anything about trans kids belonging. She said something about biological males not belonging in women's basketball or women's sports or women's locker rooms. They always go to children and they always leave it vague. It belongs. I can't imagine. I mean, the WMBA, thanks to the Indiana fever, have a chance to actually have people caring. This would be like soccer going way woke right now coming off a high of the World Cup. But yeah, we saw even her coach take a cop-out position. The WNBA trying so hard to reach into the jaws of success to ensure failure. No, not that. We need sounds of the day. We got entertained. Oh, no, no, no. We will win. We will risk. They all look like a bunch of girly man, huh? The ability to speak does not make you untrue. Are you not entertained? Well, the sounds of the day are always revealing, often entertaining, but today they really kind of paint a picture of a party that's been infiltrated, agitated, and is now being waged in a civil war. And the socialists are trying to take over the Democrat Party in order to dismantle the Republic. So something's going to die. The socialist movement, the communist movement, or the Democrat Party as a whole? And what you see is the socialist proudly marching into the spotlight of what could lead to their political death. Bill Maher addressed that. Can you imagine the Democrat Party's lost Bill Maher? He's actually thinking about voting Republican and explains why. Again, let's just read the quotes. The DSA platform says, your work, you work as much as you are able and no more than needed. If that was any closer to Karl Marx's dictum from each according to his abilities to each according to his needs, they'd be sued for plagiarism. Not to leave any doubt, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani once tweeted Karl Marx's words, exactly. They're not trying to hide it. Their most popular influencer, Hasan Piker, thinks communism is so groovy. He laments the fall of the two of the most murderous regimes in history, the Soviet Union and Chairman Mao's China. Zohran Mamdani's aide, his top aide, Cia Weaver said, if you don't believe in the government's sacred right to seize property, it's over, and impoverce the white middle class. What? That's a goal? So you have progressive thinkers and liberals at war with these socialists who are clearly at war with them while they're all running in primaries against an opposing party and independence. How does this all play out? And speaking of Hasan Piker, oh, that came up in a visit with James Carvel. Now, this is the main strategist that brought you the Clintons.

So outdated. I mean, there is nobody in this socialist movement that even remembers Bill Clinton or Barack Obama for that matter or would have anything in common with them. But here's what he had to say about Hasan Piker and Zohran Mamdani and others. And I'm not sure if I understand what, I'm doing, but to talk about the larger Democratic Party post the election in Michigan going forward. I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker. I can tell you that right now. If he becomes a force in a Democratic Party, I'm out of here. I have no intention of ever being in the same political party with that guy. Now, I think that a majority of overwhelming. majority of the Democrats agree with me. But this idea that we're going to seize the means of production and just go look at the DSA platform. You don't have to look any further than that. And, you know, Jackie, maybe the 240 system is just going to be under tremendous stress here in the coming months. I mean, you see it in with Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene on the Republican side. You see it going on right now. That would be referring to divisions over MAGA. and or Israel on the Republican side. First of all, James Carvel is 81 years old. He's far away from this movement. Now, a third of the Democrat Party is in line with Hasan Piker and all these socialist, communist Democrats. And the younger they are, the more they are. And the more 81-year-olds pass away or retire, the more in control they are. So if socialism survives this election cycle, Hasan Piker's future is a lot brighter than James Carbells. And one third, now we're proud to identify as socialists. The parasite has grown. It's about to defeat the host. Now the host will die and the parasite will die with it. But this midterm election may be more about the socialist movement in the primaries. And either the death of socialism in the general or the rise to destroy the Democrat Party. Then the Republicans have a challenge in 28 in this handoff of Trumpism. I reject the notion that Trumpism and MAGA are the same thing. Trumpism is simply the Tea Party after a businessman ran and won when everybody fought him. opposed him and sought to defeat him, including assassinate him. But in the end, all he did was live the Republican Party platform. Most Republicans talk the platform, but don't live it. That's why we're 40 trillion in debt. But if they don't make this handoff, well, they too could be in trouble.

Big choice, J.D. or Marco Rubio coming up for the Republicans. And people like Carvel, they would love for you to identify the two demons, the two cancers, as socialism and MAGA. So they can get back to establishment elite two-party system. And then there's John Fetterman versus this socialist movement. And that came up in an interview with Bernie Sanders. First, the host trying to cleverly tee it up for Bernie Sanders played this clip that John Fetterman talking about Bernie Sanders. I would be frustrated with someone like Bernie Sanders. You know, why aren't people angry? Why they promoted, you know, someone like Graham Platner, an accused rapist. So really? Bernie, you have no regret endorsing and proud to stand with an accused rapist, a guy that roughs up his ex-girlfriends, a guy that had a Nazi tattoo on his chest. What's your response to Senator John Fetterman? Well, my response to John Fetterman is last time I saw it, he was reflecting the views about 19% of the Democrats in the state of Pennsylvania, I think probably lower than any other member of the Democratic Senate. John Fetterman does his thing, and I think on Israel and many other issues, is way out of touch with the people of America. So support of Israel, way out of touch with the people of America, support for an abuser, accused rapists, and a Nazi, very much in touch. Well, let me ask you, because in the face of these growing scandals against Graham Platner, emotional abuse, aggressive behavior, which he did deny, you did continue to support. They were very serious allegations against Placna, against Platna. As a result of those accusations, I and virtually all of his supporters, requested that he withdraw from the race, and he did. Very serious allegations. And he withdrew from the race. You, in fact, said there are no saints in the United States Senate before those most serious allegations came out. This loss of trust will not be restored, not for a very, very long. I don't think in my lifetime I'll ever trust doctors again. I know I won't trust the CDC and the World Health Organization. And I will approach future presidents, future White House councils, and the media with great scrutiny. That is very important and significant for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. to point to the media's role in this. He ought to include corporate Americas, the World Health Organization, the CDC, the president's council, governors, legislatures, and the damages. There needs to be justice and accountability for the damages. The reason Robert F. Kennedy Jr. looks so contentious is because he knows it's just as likely, just like 9-12 is just as likely to happen as 9-11. The next COVID is just as likely to happen.
