Welcome back in Clay Travis Buck Sexton show. Okay, we're talking about the $2 million verdict in Westchester, the reaction of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association, both to say now that transition surgeries, gender change surgeries, however you want to classify it for under 18-year-olds should not happen. Many lawsuits are going to continue. Buck, I would just add to our conversation that we've already had. I think this is going to spread to adults as well, because I think if you're going to say, well, a 16-year-old shouldn't be able to make this decision, given the health implications and impacts, I know age of majority matters, but a 19-year-old or a 20-year-old rendering themselves permanently sterile without truly understanding what they were doing, I think these lawsuits are going to expand, and I think the entire... concept of so-called gender change surgery is going to is going to be attacked on a level that should have happened long before now but is going to become much more substantial the comparison we've made here in the past on the show

3:08

to body integrity, body identity integrity disorder, I think it's called, B-I-I-D, where you just, and this is a real thing, you can look it up, where people, you know, there's some mental illness, sorry, some mental illness people can have it very. different degrees a lot of people some of you listening have a little bit of anxiety maybe it would be clinically diagnosed as anxiety but you can control that and you know a little breathing exercises right it exists on this long span of same thing with depression some people get a little depressed sometimes you're just responding to life events and you can be down sometimes maybe it's a little bit more biochemical Body integrity identity disorders are very severe and serious mental illness, right? This is something, it's where you believe that you shouldn't have an arm or you should be paralyzed. It's a very scary, but it's a real thing that can happen to people. No doctor would expect to keep his or her license. No doctor would expect the media apparatus in this country to come to their defense if they removed a healthy arm because the patient wanted it removed. You just wouldn't do that. Right. And we've been saying all along, the comparison between this and these gender transition surgeries is very apt. It is very real. And to your point, Clay, right now we're just talking about the mutilation of kids and some accountability for that. And most importantly now, also stopping, you want to stop the damage, stop the casualties from continuing. But Clay, I... I think this is mutilation for adults as well. Yeah. I think it's completely medically, you know, the guy who did this for the longest time, I forget his name at Johns Hopkins University, that was essentially the guy after 30 years of gender transition surgery, you know, seeing all these things is like, it's probably not a good idea, guys. And then, of course, you had to go into hiding, death threats, because unfortunately, the trans activists are pretty much the most insane left-wing people in America. Yeah, that's accurate. Not just trans people. Trans... activists right they are crazy They are completely off their rocker and they're dangerous sometimes. Yes. They're committing crimes off the charts relative to their population with the shooter in Minneapolis, the shooter in Nashville at the two different schools. The Charlie Kirk shooter was a dating, a trans-related person. And Buck, you hit on this years ago. And I do think it's worth coming back to. They believe it's genocide. The trans community, if you do not allow them to trans, they believe it's genocide. And I think a lot of people out there in the audience, they really haven't spent a lot of time thinking about this. But back in the day, in let's say the 1980s, if you were, I think RuPaul, right, or something like you dressed up as somebody who was different sex, but you didn't claim.

6:03

that you were actually cross-dressing you're talking about somebody who's uh yeah which was like uh you know something that happened the transition between hey like it makes me happier to wear a skirt or it makes me happier to wear you know like boys clothes or whatever to i have changed my gender and if you don't allow me to do it It is the equivalent of a genocide. That is the justification under which they engage in violent acts because they believe that anyone who is trying to stop certain militant aspects of the trans community believes that anyone who's trying to stop these surgeries from being allowed is actually engaged in genocide. They're eradicating these people from the earth. People point to there's a long history of transvestites. And in fact, in theater, for example, men played all the roles of women. So yes, dressing up as women, but dressing up as women is. harmless any whether you think it's weird or not that's up to you but it's harmless and it's a person there's no problem if somebody wants to wear a dress they're welcome the word dress but we're allowed to know that it's or we're allowed to say well that's a dude in a dress yep and this is the the rejection of reality which is again where there's a whole chapter in manufacturing delusion about this very issue which i recommend you go get right now on amazon go buy a pre-order copy please or the audiobook also. You can hear my voice, do the whole book. The gender affirmation thing that they use, this gender transition rhetoric, clay, is all meant to get people to give up their right to speak the truth. Because if you're willing to say that I don't know the difference in a man and a woman, you can say anything. There's nothing that can't be forced upon you. So it's really the ultimate intellectual subjugation that we're talking about. I don't know the difference between a penis and a vagina. That's a pretty fundamental thing that you can't tell the difference between gender assigned at birth to use this language. This was just brainwashing on the scale of the Maoist Cultural Revolution. People went mad with this stuff, and we are finally, finally at an inflection point where we haven't won, but it is turning back the other way. This is moving back in the direction of sanity. And for the plaintiff's lawyers out there, you mentioned this earlier. I think they're going to be recruiting some of these young people who had these surgeries. They're going to be advertising for it. The verdicts are going to be truly transformative in many different red states and all of these different hospitals. You're going to see a drip, drip, drip of, hey, we're not allowing this anymore. I mean, Minneapolis, it's crazy. Ben just, a friend of mine, Ben Grossman just sent me this, Children's Minnesota plans to stop prescribing puberty blockers and hormones to minors. You're going to see, that's, you know, in Minnesota, you're going to see more and more hospitals just say, we can't do this anymore because of the liability risk. And again,

8:58

My point on this is a lot of people in medicine knew this was bunk, but they were so afraid of being labeled transphobic or being attacked for opposing these surgeries that they didn't have the courage to say it. Now, suddenly the bean counters inside of these hospitals can raise their hand and say, wait a minute, we're risking millions of dollars in verdicts if we keep doing these. Look at what just happened to New York. Why I think it's so significant? Well, also, this comes. on the heels of the other massive failure of institutional medicine, which was the response of the AMA and the CDC and go down the list of the COVID pandemic, where they abandoned science in the name of politics. Yes. This was a mass hysteria throughout medicine. Clay, I am still ticked off. And by the way, I no longer, I mean, fired isn't the right word, but I got rid of or stopped seeing my primary care doctor at University of Miami Medical Center. Because when I moved down here, I said, I need a new primary care. I need to get my checkup done. And they were having everybody mask up. Yeah. This was a couple of years ago. This wasn't, this wasn't, you know, this is like. when the pandemic's over and everyone's gotten the bad shots that we didn't need to get and the whole thing was preposterous. They're still making people mask up. They still have mask up signs around there. I don't trust you as a part. I don't care how smart you are. I don't care what your IQ is. If you were not able to figure out that the whole masking thing was a mass Pavlovian compliance exercise, you are not smart enough to make decisions about my health or anyone else is. You're not brave enough. Maybe brave is the better word. You're not brave enough to make decisions about my health. or anybody else is. And we've seen the same thing, the lack of spine, the lack of bravery when it comes to defending children against these mutilation surgeries. Well, I remember one of my favorite of the spineless moves that we all saw during COVID was when the pediatric group came out and said, kids need to be back in school. Do you remember this? The American Association of Pediatric Doctors or whatever it was called. They said, oh, no, no, no, we don't need it in 2020. It's more significant harm to kids to keep them out of school than to put them back in school during COVID. And then they completely flip-flopped because Trump also was in favor of schools opening. And so they just reversed their their. designation. Teachers unions were saying, oh, everybody's going to die. Oh, my goodness. We're going to be on the front lines. It's basically the equivalent of being in war. And they reverse themselves, which is a sign that they were never about the science. They were just engaging in political propaganda. And they had to make people, you know, bend over in a way that they were in favor of. Natural immunity was that was the biggest thing that they really had no answer for whatsoever, right? They're making everyone get COVID tests. I'm sorry, I know we're getting the COVID thing here, but it's tied directly into the madness of the gender mutilation surgeries for kids. Institutional medicine abandoned their post, betrayed the Hippocratic Oath, and these institutions should be ripped down to the studs. They should be forced to be accountable for what happened here. Remember when all of a sudden if you had gotten a virus?

12:18

You didn't have immunity afterwards to it. And we would say, well, hold on. You're making me test. I test positive. I'm clear. I test negative two weeks later. I should be good now. No, you still have to get a shot for this? Yeah. This is inexplicable. This is a little Anthony Fauci, the worst little coward I've ever seen in my life really is the avatar for this madness and this failure. Do you think Anthony Fauci ever spoke up on the trans surgery issue? Do you think Anthony Fauci ever had anything to say about it? These people are shameful. And unfortunately, medicine was overtaken in the last 30 years by a really collectivist mentality. And there's a lot of reasons for this. And we could get into this. But it became incredibly conformist, over bureaucratized, and much less. By the way, I know there are great doctors. Some of my doctors, literally some of my doctors are listening to the show right now. And you're amazing. So thank you. But overall, there are doctors. who just became a part of this blob who no longer realized that the whole point is to treat people, Clay, and to do the right thing by your patients. Not only that, the entire point of science is to question everything. And to your point, they became the most conformist industry, almost in America, where everybody had to agree on every single different issue. which actually is the antithesis of science itself, which is questioning and continuing to advance different hypotheses and theories to lead us to the more accurate place. And so you think they're going to boot Peter Attia from the CBS roster? He's had a rough one. Speaking of the Epstein files and everything else, he's had a rough one. I always thought he always had some pretty good stuff to say. He was on that Rogan podcast all the time. He was like the favorite health. longevity guy of the podcast, bros, really tough to explain to people why you would rather be with Epstein than in the hospital when your son, your baby son is in the ICU. That's a tough one. That's a tough one. A lot of people getting caught up in the Epstein mess. By the way, a lot of them, in addition to maybe... You can see why a lot of people didn't want these emails to come out. We talked about it a great deal yesterday. But I also think it's evidence of this sort of group think dynamic that was in play there. When Epstein was donating money, a lot of people were willing to look away from the charges against him and everything else. And the left in particular, I think, has been exposed on the Epstein situation. Way worse than people on the right in general have been as well. All right, look, home invasions are really frightening, and they still happen far too frequently in this country. Trump's doing a lot to bring the national numbers in the right direction, making us all safer, but it's never going to be perfect, and you have to be prepared because ultimately your safety stops and starts with you, and you have to protect your family. At GDIT, we power the systems that help America operate, connect, and stay secure. Every hour, every mission, every day. GDIT, behind America's invisible advantage. Welcome in everybody's second hour of Clay and Buck gets going right now. And as we know, we've been focused in on the story out of Minneapolis for weeks, the showdown with ice and all these anti-ice maniacs across between... Democrat activists, Antifa, and people who just really love to be outside in the cold screaming at law enforcement officers. We've been following that story closely. There have been two fatalities from ICE-involved shootings. And this is a story that has been getting a lot of attention. Before I dive into, I just want to say, Clay and I are both doing this show on Concord Land and are proud of it. So no apologies there whatsoever. I just, yeah, Concord Land. High-fived everybody who conquered it. We're doing great. We're doing great. This America Place doing great. The pre-America stuff, not as good. So we'll just note that we are on Concord Land. And... I would also say, Clay, in Minneapolis, we have seen the administration make a tactical pivot, but they're continuing to enforce the law there. And Tom Homan is in every sense the right man for this job, has been the right man all along. And here he is, for example, talking about, and I think this is so critical. This is cut two where he discusses. A lot of very bad, dangerous people have been taken off the streets by these ICE officers. Play cut, too. Part of the surge operation here, numerous criminal aliens have already been arrested. We were arrested 14 people who had homicide convictions. 139 assault convictions, 87, sex offenses, 28 gang members have been arrested, just to name a few. We're taking a lot of bad people off the street. Everybody should be grateful to that.

21:09

Who in the right mind would want these dangerous criminals walking around their communities? It's absolutely true. And, you know, Clay, I want to get back into this home in press conference and Holman talking about what's going on here. But beyond that, the drop in violent crime that has happened in this country since Trump came into office, if this were a Democrat administration that had specifically said, We have a nationwide mandate to make people safer and to bring down the murder rate and show these kind of results. You would hear, it would be the, every day. And CNN would just have panels talking about this new era of law enforcement success and everything else. You have crickets from much of the media on this because, yet again, this is not something that should be complicated, but the left makes it complicated because they're insane. It turns out, Clay, when you give the good guys the mandate to protect innocent people and to do their jobs as law enforcement officers, whether it's ICE or just cops or FBI or whomever, everybody's safer. And now a few thousand people are walking around the streets alive who would not have been if Trump had not decided to make America safe again. Well, yes, all to that. And I think the Trump administration has actually done a poor job, relatively speaking, indirectly connecting 125-year low in murders with the safest border that we've ever seen in any of our lives. Because to me, the fact that we are deporting tons of violent criminals and the fact that people can't illegally come into the country in mass numbers. It's not coincidental that we hit a 125-year low in murders at the same time that we have the most secure border in the history of the nation. So to me, if you want to, and I think we should, make that argument and continue to emphasize it, those aren't disconnected. facts. The reality is these, the reason we hit 125 year low in murders is because of the secure border. Here's the other thing, Buck. It's not coincidental that the number of deaths from fentanyl is collapsing. And we also just hit last year an all-time record high for lifespan. A child born last year could expect to live 79 years. That is the longest lifespan in the history of of anyone lives in the United States today. So in 2025 last year, think about this. We set a 125-year low in murders, in murders. We set the most secure border, and we set an all-time record high for average lifespan. All of those are directly connected to...

24:03

bringing security to the nation. And that's why I look at what's going on in Minneapolis and we're bringing some of our people out of Minneapolis now. But what they're trying to do is what happened with BLM in 2020. They're trying to create lawlessness because if they can do it in Minneapolis, it will spread across the country. Now, the one positive I'll say Buck, and I don't know if you would co-sign on this or not. It doesn't feel like the violence and the opposition to ICE in Minneapolis has really spread that aggressively in that many other cities, right? Like in BLM, suddenly there were protests everywhere. It didn't matter what city you were in. It didn't matter what state you were in. It spread rapidly across the entire nation. Minneapolis has been a flashpoint for anti-ice protests, but it doesn't feel like similar in 2020. that we have seen the same growth of these protests nationwide. Does that make sense? Like it doesn't seem like it's taken root in the same way. Well, I think that the, I'm sure you talked about this, Clay, when I was checking out Jeff Bezos's rockets. Yes. But the fact that two clearly Latino American ICE officers were involved in the shooting, I think also complicates the martyrdom narrative of Preti. Right? Because what they wanted to be is white, right-wing Trumpers who are fascists and everything else. These two ICE officers who, I mean, I forget their names, but it was like Santiago and Rodriguez or something. I mean, these guys are clearly a Latin American background. And I think that that also makes, as we said from the beginning, it wasn't the person, the two people shot were not black, which for the left is a big thing. They get far more energized over that issue. And I think that they are not winning the narrative battle over this stuff in the way that they thought that they would. But also, there has been a tactical change here, which is from the administration, which makes sense to me. Tom Homan, this is cut one. He's saying, look, they're drawing down some officers, but Minnesota authorities are cooperating in an increased fashion, and so they should be able to continue the mission. Play one. We currently have an unprecedented number of counties communicating with us now. and allowing ICE to take custody of illegal aliens before they hit the streets. Unprecedented cooperation. Now say it again, this is efficient, requires only one or two officers to assume custody of a criminal alien target rather than eight or ten officers going into the community and arresting that public safety threat. Given this increase in unprecedented collaboration, And as a result of the need for less law enforcement officers to do this work in a safer environment, I have announced effective immediately. We will draw down 700 people affected today. 700 law enforcement personnel. So, Clay, they've gotten more cooperation, according to Tom Homan, and therefore they need less bodies from ice on the streets, but also, even more importantly, this is what they've wanted all along, and the fact that they weren't getting it is indicative of what the Democrat left was willing to create here, which was the chaos on the streets was the result of their refusal to work with federal law enforcement. The law enforcement refusal to work with federal law enforcement. And it's just...

27:29

When the more people heard this, I think, they just felt, this is crazy. I think totally. And building on what you said about Alex Pretti, yes, who shot him, I think was somewhat of a story. Buck, I think the minute the video came out of him spitting and kicking the tail light, the Alex Pready story basically vanished. Because much like when the video came out of Renee Good and you could see that she hit the guy with her car, once the video came out of him spitting and kicking the taillight, the whole idea of Renee Good was just a mom who dropped her kids off to school. And then you see the video of her hitting the ice agent. And then you see the video of her pulling up and honking her horn and all of the videos came out. And then you see Peretti spitting, kicking taillights. They weren't. great plaintiffs anymore. They weren't the heroic nurse. They weren't the heroic mom that the Democrats had tried to sell. And that incongruous nature of what they actually were engaged in, all of a sudden the story vanished. I mean, I haven't seen very much about Alex Pratt at all. I mean, I know the Grammy's people were showing up and Grammy Awards tanked as they always do, the more political they get. But I think even for Democrats... Pretti and good vanished based on the full story of their action being given, which was they were obstructing ICE agents. They weren't just bystanders who happened to end up engaged in violent treatment with no justification at all. They were trying to stop ICE from doing their job. And frankly, Pretti in particular... Looks like he had a mental illness in the way that he was interacting with ICE. I mean, I think I actually feel sorry for him because if you're spitting on people and if you're kicking out taillights, I don't care what your motivation is. You are not in any way, I don't think, able to be defended. You know, does you think it changes the calculation at all for Billy Eilish with her stolen land thing? Do you think she even knows that it was, you know, Spaniards who initially stole the land? Or essentially, like, now, are you thinking she has any idea? Is she familiar with American colonial history? Does she know who stole the? She says we stole the, who stole the land, though? Actually, actually, if anything, the British Anglos. Did kind of a solid by at least stealing it from the Spaniards who stole it in the first place. So, you know. We're getting them back. You know, we're getting a little revenge for the tribes there because we took it from the Spaniards. So there you go. But I don't think she knows. This is my whole point. This gets into the weeds a little bit, but it definitely points out how much historical literacy is. Anytime someone says we need reparations, right, for slavery, make that argument. Okay. Well, you realize that the vast majority of the reparations would have to be paid by England, right? Because for the vast majority of slavery in America.

30:30

The British were the ones who benefited because they were colonies. So only if you actually dive into. Would all the South Asian immigrants to England? Would they also be paying into this, though? I'm just wondering. Like, so do they? That's where it gets really interesting. You're like, okay, I agree. Reparations. England's going to have to pay for two thirds of American slavery. You're like, what? Why would they pay? Well, you're like, well, because they actually benefited from it because from 1619 to 1783 or 1776, whatever year you want to create, Britain actually made all the decisions in the colonies. That's why we had the Revolutionary War. So Britain would actually have to pay the vast majority of reparations, not the United States because the United States only had slavery for 80 years. And anyway, nobody ever really runs through it. Just to be clear, by the numbers, by the numbers, Spain exterminated far more, far more natives than the Anglos did. If you, because when you look at Central and South America, I mean, the Maya, sorry, the Inca Empire alone, the Inca Empire alone probably had more people in it than all of the tribes in North America put together at the time of colonial exploration and the founding. So, you know, does Spain walk around crying tears about this all day? No, why? Because we think of Spain as part of Latin America all mixed in together now and somewhat non-white, even though there are totally white Spaniards with blonde hair. You know, it's all, but the point, you get into the actual history, and I want to know, Billy Eilish, who stole the land? I want to ask her. Who does she think stole it? And who do we give it back to? Well, this is where actually following up and asking questions. We played some cuts of a couple of the outkick guys that asked Steve Kerr. I think you probably saw those in Doc Rivers about the comments that they made, actually following up and making them demonstrate. the lack of depth of basic knowledge that they have is what real media should do if we truly had journalism. You wouldn't just report what someone says. You would follow up and aggressively question them to see what the depth of knowledge they have for the take that they put out there is. If you come from a racially mixed family, and if you have like Barack Obama, black father, white mother, so then does your what does the white parent like pay reparations, but the black parent gets the reparate? Like how does that work? With the reparations. I'm just wondering. Also, how about the African...

32:58

countries that sold the slaves like shouldn't they have to pay part of the reparations since they what about the what about the african immigrants to america who arrived here in the last 20 years who love it here by the way and are like nigerian americans are doing great by the numbers in terms of gdp or gdp per capita did they get the reparate because i'm pretty sure they're just they just got here but they're black do they get reparations i don't think anyone's really thought this well oh we're gonna we're gonna do the lineage thing oh okay and then how much how much do you get It all falls apart, doesn't it? The whole thing. It's all absurd. Billy Elish, though. She should stick to kind of the warbling songs. She has to get back her home. She has to get back her home. I definitely love the moron that Billy Elish probably has this PR when suddenly she's having to respond on this PR front. You know, it's not like somebody stole one of her song lyrics and did something with it on TikTok. Friday's nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran have been canceled. And so the odds of, I would imagine, strikes from the United States on Iran have as a result grown. The second would be Trump assassin. Ryan Ralph has been sentenced to life in prison. as that is going on. And the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Medical Association, we'll talk with Carol Markowitz at the bottom of the hour about this, have both said that trans surgeries on young people should not be occurring. That comes in the wake of a $2 million verdict in New York. And Buck, big story out of Washington, D.C. in media. Jeff Bezos finally, you were at Blue Origin, which is the space company of Jeff Bezos on Monday. Jeff Bezos is finally fed up with the Washington Post, which he purchased for $250 million back in 2013. He now is saying, basically, I'm done with what the Post has become. They are firing one third of all of the employees at the Washington Post. They became a subscription newspaper. They were virulently anti-Trump in term one. The Post refused to endorse in the election of 2024. Subscribers revolted because there's a far left-wing news organization. And so everyone out there who was a subscriber, many of them cut. Jeff Bezos finally said, I'm tired of losing tens of millions of dollars. It's a big story there that I think maybe we could talk about a little bit Thursday, Friday as the weekend rolls on. But we are joined now by the lieutenant governor of Georgia, Bert Jay Jones. And it is National Girls and Women's Sports Day. And in the state of Georgia, there is a big Senate race coming up. And I'll start with this question for you, Lieutenant Governor Bert Jay Jones. Jon Ossoff, who is running for Senate re-election in Georgia, be a big decision in 2026 for the people of Georgia. He actually thinks men should be able to compete in women's sports. I can't imagine that is something that the vast majority of Georgians agree with, particularly the dads out there. No, and Clay and Buck, I appreciate y'all having me on today. And it's really hard to believe that a senator from Georgia, you know, has voted three different times to allow boys into girls' sports. And, you know, he's always trying to play the middle-the-road Democrat. But he kind of shows his true colors when he does that on three different occasions. obviously we've got to come up with a nominee to run against him. We've got several guys who are running for that. I think would make good candidates. And so hopefully when that winter emerges, we'll all get behind them and see if we can't knock him off because it's embarrassing when I have to go to the Alabama senators when I need something in D.C., you know, because ours...

are not very helpful, and that's not the way it should be. You've got a big election coming up. Obviously, the governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, has been very popular. You are the lieutenant governor, and you're launching something that I think is important. Girl Dads for Burt, statewide coalition of Dads, standing up for fair and its safety, opportunity in girls' sports. Today, again, National Girls and Women in Sports. Riley Gaines, who works with me at Outkick, has been tremendous on speaking out on this issue. For dads who want to sign up, and there are a ton of them out there listening right now that are fed up about this issue, what would you tell them to do? Well, I would tell them to go to girl dadsrabert.com, girl dads forbert.com. And this is something that, look, we pushed two years ago, and Riley Gaines helped us with this effort. We actually, before the Federal Act was put in place, we push and got it done in the state of Georgia, not allowing boys and girls sports. And as a father of a teenage daughter, who's a good athlete and likes to compete in a lot of different sports. You know, it was a no-brainer for me, and a lot of guys that I played with in college that have daughters themselves, they're involved with us. And it's just helping spread the word because it is National Women's Sports Day. You wonder where all the Title IX women were that fought for to put women on equal playing field as far as scholarships are concerned. is concerned at the collegiate level, they were nowhere to be found when it was time to try to save girls' sports from biologically male athletes. So we're celebrating that, and we thought it would be in this campaign for governor. You know, it's a long haul, so you do have to come up with some different things every once in a while, and this was something we felt passionate about, and we were glad to have so many people participate and help us. Riley Gaines being won, Hall of Fame football NFL star, Champ Bailey is on board helping us with it. And obviously, yeah, go to girl dads repert.com and we'd love to have you engaged and involved in the campaign and in this effort as well. Why do you think the state of Georgia has elected Republicans to statewide office by and large that are in state government, but has now three consecutive cycles elected senators who are Democrats and don't really represent the state of Georgia, particularly on this issue, which is just a cultural flashpoint, very well at all. And can that change in 26? Yeah, I think you could definitely change. Obviously, the last election cycle, you know, the president, President Trump, who's endorsing me for governor, won Georgia by a pretty good margin. And then if you look at some of the other races back in 22, where all statewide constitutional officers won, Republicans won statewide elections, with the exception.

42:17

of Herschel Walker when he was running for U.S. Senate. So it definitely is still a red state, and I think it's gotten redder as the Democrats has gotten further and further away from just middle-the-road politics. It just seemingly just gone so far left that it's a very different-looking Democratic Party than it was just 10 years ago here in the state of Georgia. So I do think that we'll have an opportunity. Look, I think those elections were just all those, it was a perfect storm with a couple of those things, how you ended up with Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, and we're going to try to prevent that from happening this cycle. We've worked a lot on election integrity. We've worked a lot on grassroots efforts, and our state Republican Party has gotten a lot stronger and more organized than probably what we were four or five years ago. I'm assuming Lieutenant Governor and Spock, thanks for being here, that it will come up quite a bit in this election that Jon Ossoff back in March of last year joined Senate Democrats in blocking the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. And when I was looking this up, I was like, what is his rationale for this? Or how does he? And he has people out there. His spokespersons are saying it's extremely intrusive for the federal government to confirm, or sorry, American parents don't need federal government confirming children's genitalia, end quote. That was what he said. This is crazy. This is like this is not rational stuff from this senator. No, no, not at all. And especially with one of the people he's running against actually passed the Riley Gaines Act at the federal level. Congressman Mike Collins, who's running for U.S. Senate, he passed the bill that has gotten so much fanfare here locally, and he's potentially off-off opponent, you know, in the November election. Look, I can't make sense. There's a lot of things that the senator says, so I don't need to try to get in his head because, obviously, to make a statement like that is just preposterous. And so anyways, I just, you know, that's all the more reasons why we've got to have a strong gubernatorial nominee like myself, a strong Senate candidate, where we can have a big coalition to make sure that. that we flip that seat back into the red column. Well, thank you for the time, Lieutenant Governor, for anybody out there that wants to help in the campaign, what would you tell them to do? I would tell them to go to burt Jay Jones for GA.com, birdjonesforGA.com. And, of course, you go to all our different platforms on social media, but you go to our website, and we'd love to have volunteers. I'd love to have any kind of engagement that you'd like to participate in. We'd love to have you. It's a very important race. Georgia is a very important state, and that was the reason why President Trump endorsed me for this governor's race very early on because he knows how important Georgia is, not just...

45:23

Not just for our politics here locally, but on the national stage as well. No doubt. That's Bert Jay Jones running for governor in the state of Georgia. Welcome back in here to Clay and Buck. Right now just Buck because Clay had to run because it's going to the Super Bowl. But don't worry. I'm going to hold the fort down with the assistance, of course, of the one and only Carol Markowitz of the Clay and Buck Podcast Network. She does a great show. She also teams up with Mary Catherine Hamper normally. This is on the Clay and Buck Podcast Network. You guys will love the show, especially for the moms out there. Carol is the mommy podcaster extraordinaire. Carol, welcome. Welcome back to the program. Hi, Buck. Thanks so much for having me. I can't believe I'm not going to get a chance to make fun of Clay's mustache. I know. You're going to have to come back. Hopefully he's not going to wimp out and grow the rest of his facial hair back because the mustache is like clay stepped in a time machine, and we have 1975 clay right now. It's pretty awesome. But your piece got my attention, as it always does, New York Post here, to end transgender madness, make the ghouls who push these surgeries pay the price. We talked about this in the opening of the show, the 2 million on. adolescence gets sued bigly. I agree. Yeah, and I think that this is the only way to really end this insanity. People forget that for so many years, not only was this all pushed on the rest of us as the normal thing to do. Sure, cut off the breasts of a healthy teenage girl to make her pretend that she's a boy. That was something that not only was the medical profession telling Americans was the right thing to do.

51:06

But if you dare to disagree with this in any way, you were a bigot, you were anti-trans, you were a terrible person who wanted to see dead kids. So this win draws the line in the sand and says no more of this. And in my column, I highlight how many kids, you know, had this kind of surgery. The HHS puts the number of at around 3,700 American adolescents. in just four years. So it's a really crazy large amount of numbers of kids who went through the serious surgery. But then there's so many more kids who did things like breast binding or took hormones and have their lives ruined forever. And the people who did this to them should be made to pay. You know, I just had a conversation yesterday, actually, with a Floridian who I was talking to him, and he does some house flipping and remodeling and stuff like that. And I said, why did you move down here? And he said, honestly, the breaking point was at my school, you know, my kid's school, rather. They started pushing the trans stuff. And he was in, I think, fifth or sixth grade or something. And he's like, I just had to, I had to just say enough is enough. And I moved down here to Florida where, of course, they don't do that stuff in the schools. Thank you, Ron DeSantis. But even like Megyn Kelly, Megyn Kelly pulled, and she's been very open about this, she's talked about it on her show, she pulled her son from a school that was like the rival school to the one I went to in New York. So kind of hit, get close to home because they were doing like the trans, you know, coming out day stuff for kids in primary school. Yeah. What's really crazy is how prevalent it became in places like New York City. And it was very much a geographical question. Like depending on where you were mattered for whether this kind of thing was going to hit your kids or not. My daughter, we moved when she was in the middle of sixth grade. We moved from New York to Florida. And she would have in New York, she had, I would say, close to a dozen friends who in some way. called themselves trans. Maybe they said they were non-binary, which was kind of the easier way out. Or they declared themselves the opposite gender from what they were. When she got to Florida, there were none, zero. She has not encountered this at all. And that really goes to show something. It was a nationwide social contagion, but it really only caught on in certain areas. You know, there was this. kind of jockey line about it at the time in like 2020, but it was like there's no trans kids in the hood. And that was the thing. It wasn't happening everywhere. It was happening in these far left enclaves that allowed this to happen. And then it was seeping into red areas also. But a lot of times parents in those areas were putting a stop to it. Carol, one thing that you also detail in your New York Post piece, and I think it's just so important that people know about this, and it goes to how disgraceful all this stuff was, and it is these procedures that they put sometimes kids through. And I actually think this stuff should be illegal for adults as well, because I think it's...

54:13

These are not medical procedures. That's a whole other conversation. We're talking now about non-adults. We're talking about minors. And some of these procedures, even things like chest binding, which you get into here, can deform these young girls and give them a lifelong pain. Yeah. Yeah. And what was so crazy about, again, that era where we were all made to say that we would support this kind of insanity was that it really did grip so many different kinds of people. You know, when Bethany Mendel and I wrote our book, Stolen News, it was published in 2023, so we were writing it in like 21, 22. When we were talking to conservative publishers, they were saying to us, we love the book, conservative publishers book, we love the book, but we need you to cut the trans chapter. And that was even in the conservative world, you weren't allowed to say that this was having serious, serious damage on these kids, that it wasn't a joke, that it was a real thing that was happening. that kids were having body parts cut off. And of course, the left goes through that thing that they do where it's not happening, but also if it is happening, it's a good thing. And that's where they are right now. They're in a situation where they've... pushed for this. They allowed this to go on. And now they have to say that it's a good thing that they've cut off the breasts of healthy teenage girls to help them pretend that they're boys. But we all know that it's not. And I think that this kind of court case, winning this kind of court case really goes a long way to showing who's on the right side. You know, I have in my forthcoming book, Carol, which I will say Carol has been a very important source of encouragement in my bookwriting process, manufacturing delusion. And there's a whole chapter on menticide, which is what a psychiatrist and an army psychiatrist in the Second World War, who actually dealt with a lot of SS Nazi prisoners. He was Dutch. He came up with his term of menticide, Mirlu, and it's the destruction of the brain. And one of the key things is to get people to affirm really obvious and grotesque lies. Like that's a central part of this. And this was obviously true in the Soviet Union as well. To me, there has been, and this is why I talk about the trans stuff in the chapter on menticide in the book, There has been a transgender agenda that is menticidal with respect to how they insist that people say the most insane things, or they will go crazy and sometimes even become very violent, as we know.

56:52

Right. You have to say it, the words, and you have to say them in the right way, and you need to parrot the line that the left is feeding you, where you also had this in our book, because it's a sign of totalitarianism. It's what totalitarian societies do. They push one note, one voice that you must speak with. And when somebody doesn't, when the JK Rowlings of the world step out of line, they're shunned in such a really... nasty, horrible way that they're really taken out of their own society. It's a really terrible situation. And the fact is that we're getting to the point where we could see who was right and who was wrong. And that's really what we want to be hoping for here, that this kind of thing comes to an end, that children aren't mutilated anymore, that this kind of thing isn't pushed in our schools, that we come to believe that you cannot change your birth sex, that you can dress up as however you want, you can call yourself whatever you want. But 10,000 years from now, when somebody digs up your bones, they're going to know what the DNA said. And that's going to be that you were either a boy or you were a girl, and that is the end of the story. And there's no compassion in lying to children that they could change that in any way. And having them try to change that, has been a grotesque experiment, and I hope it ends. Well, I think that that's such a critical point. They have used. the idea of kindness. They have used the ideas of kindness and courtesy as a weapon against those of us who wanted to protect children. It's just use, just be nice. Use the pronouns they want. Just be nice. Encourage them in this belief. Just be nice. Give them the hormones. And now this is for the parents particularly, you know, take them to the doctor that'll give them the hormones that'll bind their chest and do these things. It's actual cruelty. They offer cruelty and call it kindness. And I think that is central to the whole trans experiment. Absolutely. And they tell the parents, if you don't do this, your kid will kill themselves. And that's really just one of the things that parents, you know, they'll do anything for their kids, right? And if they're told, like, would you rather have a live girl or a live daughter or a dead son, obviously every parent would want their child alive. But it's, it's, they kind of cornered parents into this where they had to accept a ridiculous reality that was never going to be. in order to say, oh, this is how your child survives. And they really put parents through the wringer. I'm glad that there's this lawsuit that happened, though, because I have been concerned all along, Carol, and this is going to speak right to you on this issue, that it would be a little bit like the aftermath of COVID when somehow no doctors, no hospitals, no health policy people, no one in the government. No one just lied. No one abused us for power. Nobody was responsible, even though we know.

59:47

That's all a lie itself. In this case, because of the legal system we have and tort law, I do think people, individuals can be held responsible. I don't think they're just going to be able to do the, yeah, so what if we told you you needed a vaccine passport and that was insane and totally useless? Right. You're right. Usually people are not held accountable for terrible things that they do to society, but this is hopefully going to be the change in that. And again, this is so far beyond the pale, not that I didn't think that the COVID regulations and things that they did to us were also horrible. I did. But, you know, the cutting off of healthy body parts, I think is just something that we need to. Again, the line in the sand that we have to say that this is just something that we cannot societally accept. And the fact that this is the very first win of a court case like this that went to trial, I hope the floodgates open after this, and I hope there are many, many more. Do you think that, have you ever talked to a parent that seemed otherwise? to be relatively like normal and with it who was a big believer in this trans ideology stuff in school? No, but what I was going to say is a lot of people think that parents who have kids who declare themselves trans are, you know, uniformly leftist, uniformly crazy. I knew a family in New York who had a child who said that they were the opposite gender and they had, I mean, they were this very normal family who you would never, they definitely weren't encouraging their kids to do anything crazy. They definitely weren't on board with any of this. But they literally had to move. They had to leave the state because their child's school was saying you have to affirm this for your child. This is elementary school. This is while my kids were in elementary school. And the fact that the school was pressuring them to affirm their child, there's so many normal families that get caught up in this. I think a lot of conservatives just think it's like blue-haired, nose ring families that this happens to. This happens in a lot of places and a lot of people are susceptible to it. You have to protect your kids. Who wants this stuff? Right. I know that we could throw out some things. We see these crazy activists, but it's fascinating to me that whenever you push on any individual politician on this, they start speaking around. They pull a Gavin Newsom. They start speaking around the issue. They speak in platitudes. Yeah. It's amazing. They've used so much power to force this on us. And yet no person who can be held accountable will actually stand forth and subject themselves to debate an argument on this subject. Yeah, I really do think it's a leftist destruction of the family. When you have your kids be broken down in this manner where they don't know what gender is anymore and they can't be sure that such a thing exists where there's only a boy and a girl and that's it, I think that it really does target the traditional family. And it's a...

1:02:48

In a larger picture, it targets the country. It's an anti-American measure. It makes everybody a little crazy. And I know it sounds like, why would they do this or who would do this? But look at the activists on the streets right now. Their cause of the day doesn't matter. Every cause. is basically the same people out in the streets and the point is to bring down the country and i know that that sounds lofty and like why you know that that that can't be what they're really thinking but all of these steps all of these breakdown of institutions of familial uh vines all of this is the same thing it's it's takes its roots in places like communist russia where you know i'm from where they did the exact same thing where the your family is not your family you're not supposed to matter to you more than the random person on the street and the country comes above all and you're not allowed to have religion and all of this it's all one leftist push to change the way our country is and we can't let them have it Totally agree with you.
