On Tulsi Gabbard's very last day as Director of National Intelligence, she dropped a bombshell, one that should shake every American who lived through the COVID years. Any American who cares about accountability, transparency, and the science, she released never-before-seeing communications and documents exposing how Dr. Anthony Fauci... used millions of your taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, how he worked with politicized elements within the intelligence community to bury the lab leak origin truth, and how he lied to Congress allegedly under oath as recently as 2024. So let's unpack this, shall we? This was her... Swan Song. This was her final act as director of national intelligence. So Tulsi Gabbard is not some partisan blogger. She is the director of national intelligence, the DNI, declassifying primary documents from deep inside the system, well, from the very top of the system. And you know, for years we heard the same refrain. Lab leak is a conspiracy theory. Anthony Fauci followed the science. Gain of function research didn't happen the way you think it did. That's what they told us. But the DNI released documents shred that narrative. Let's break down what Tulsi Gabbard exposed and why it matters. First, the funding. Dr. Anthony Fauci, as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, provided millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain of function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, work which is now widely viewed as the source of the unintentional lab leak that sparked the pandemic. Now, in support of President Trump's maximum transparency mandate, today on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I'm releasing never-before seen communications and documents that expose exactly how Anthony Fauci worked with politicized career leadership in the intelligence community to suppress the truth about his actions, the virus's lab leak origins, and his role. in directing U.S. funding for this dangerous research that caused immeasurable harm and countless lost lives. We already knew that Nyad, under Anthony Fauci, routed money through Peter Dazzack's EcoHealth Alliance to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, roughly $600,000 directly for bat coronavirus research.
The new files make clear this included work that meets the definition of gain of function or enhanced potential pandemic pathogen research, making viruses more transmissible, more virulent, better able to infect humans. Why does that matter? Well, gain of function research takes a natural pathogen and deliberately enhances its dangerous properties. Proponents claim that it helps us prepare for future pandemics. But there are critics, of course, including a lot of people who are biosecurity experts, warning for years, for decades really, that the risks of a lab accident or deliberate misuse far outweigh the benefits, especially one done in labs with questionable safety records. The Wuhan Institute of Virology had documented biosafety concerns. The new documents released by DNI Tulsi Gabbard last week, now former Tulsi Gabbard, show that Anthony Fauci's operation was central to the Wuhan Institute of Irology. Dr. Anthony Fauci's close relationships with the intelligence community enabled him to assume three key roles that shield him from scrutiny. First, Dr. Anthony Fauci funded dangerous gain of function coronavirus research linked to big pharma and their pursuit of universal vaccines. worth trillions of dollars. Second, Dr. Anthony Fauci was the behind-the-scenes advisor who, alongside his handpicked so-called experts, pushed the intelligence community to endorse a natural animal origin to hide his dangerous gain-of-function research that he funded using taxpayer dollars all of this in a deliberate attempt to cover up the truth and shift the blame and attention away from Anthony Fauci's own actions. Third, Dr. Anthony Fauci became the nation's pandemic pundit, and he publicly pushed lies, disinformation, and censorship using every platform available. But it gets worse. These documents reveal how Anthony Fauci's close relationship with the intelligence community let him assume three key roles that shielded him from real scrutiny. Here's what those three roles were, according to declassified material. funder of dangerous gain of function coronavirus research tied to Big Pharma's pursuit of universal vaccines, which of course is research with potential trillion-dollar implications. Not that that would affect anyone's judgment. Taxpayer money flowing to Wuhan for work that now looks directly connected to the pandemic that killed millions and, as we know, upended the world for basically two years. The second rule. Anthony Fauci was behind-the-scenes advisor who alongside hand-picked experts pushed the intelligence community to endorse a natural animal origin story, all to hide the gain of function work he had funded with your money, a deliberate effort to shift blame away from his own programs and decisions. Third role. The public face and ultimate authority who would testify before Congress shape media narratives and intimidate dissenters. Anybody from within the community who said things that Anthony Fauci didn't like was going against the science. Of course, all this was happening while he was deeply enmeshed in the cover-up that he was denying. And we have the documents now, thanks to D&I, Gabber, to prove it.
So what we know here is people inside the system who raise legitimate questions about the lab leak hypothesis early on didn't just get ignored. They face professional retaliation, career threats, and even intimidation. That's not how science or intelligence work is supposed to function in a free society. But with Anthony Fauci, as we know, that's how you protect a narrative. And then there's the lying under oath part of it. He blatantly lied to Congress under oath during his 2024 testimony to the House Select Subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic, denying that he ever spoke to any intelligence agency about COVID. Now, the correspondence I'm releasing today directly contradicts his sworn testimony. The new documents now directly contradict. That's not about policy disagreement. That's not a he said, he said, or he said, she said, or whatever. That's perjury. If, in fact, that is what occurred, the documents certainly seem to indicate it is. Lying to Congress under oath is not something that we can abide. In any other context, that would certainly end a career and could trigger serious legal consequences, criminal legal consequences. But Tulsi Gabbard didn't just release documents. She laid out the full picture on her way out the door. And she's right. The American people deserve transparency and accountability. So let's be clear about what this isn't. This isn't Monday morning quarterbacking about a difficult pandemic. This is about a very powerful government official. who helped fund risky research in a Chinese lab with a history of safety issues, then used his influence inside the intelligence community and his public platform to suppress the most plausible explanation for how that virus escaped or was released into the world. We were told questioning the natural origin story was dangerous misinformation. Scientists who privately expressed concerns about the cleavage site and other unusual features were pressured into signing papers like proximal origin that publicly shut down the lab leak discussion. Social media platforms, as we know, censored it. I was part of getting beat up on by that censorship apparatus during COVID. I got dinged. I got hit by YouTube and by Twitter at the time and by Facebook. Over lab leak stuff. Legacy media, as we know, corporate Democrat media, they mocked the lab leak origin thesis. And intelligence assessments were shaped in real time by the very man whose programs were at risk of exposure. So the documents are now public thanks to what happened with Tulsi Gabbard's release last week. The receipts are there, as the kids say. Now, I understand some people are going to say we already knew this stuff. And to a degree that is accurate. There are FOIAs, emails, congressional hearings, and agency assessments from the FBI and Department of Energy that had already pointed toward a lab incident with at least moderate confidence. But these new declassified communications add specific internal evidence of coordination, narrative control, and direct contraindications with sworn testimony. And that matters.
Because for accountability, we need to have a public record. And now we have a much clearer one. So my friends, what happens next here, what happens next is the real test. Anthony Fauci reportedly received a preemptive parted. Now, statute of limitations is a real thing, and it's not one we can just get around. Nor should we. The institutions that protected this for years are still very powerful. But as we all know, sunlight, as they say, is the best disinfectant. These documents belong in the hands of serious investigators, not just the commentary class like me. Every American who was told to shut up, mask up, and trust the science while their lives were turned upside down, deserves to know how much of this official story was shaped by the people most invested in hiding their own role. Gain of function research of this type carries inherent risks. At least that lesson I think has been learned, or we have learned it, maybe not everybody. When it's funded by U.S. taxpayers and conducted in a foreign lab with ties to Chinese military and a poor transparency record, That's a big problem. And the American people have a right to know and to decide whether it should continue. Tulsi Gabbard did mention something rare in Washington. She used her final moments in power to release information that powerful people would have rather stayed buried. Whether you agree with every conclusion or not, the documents are now part of the permanent record. The question isn't whether Dr. Anthony Fauci was the sole cause of the pandemic. The question, which of course he wasn't, the question is whether one man and his network were allowed to fund risky research, shape the government assessments of what actually were going on in real time with COVID, suppress anyone who dissented from the accepted party line, possibly allegedly lie under oath and then face zero consequences. That's not how our government, that's not how this country is supposed to work. So we know the American people paid the price in lives and livelihoods and in lost trust. And we all deserve the full truth, not just to have accountability in the past, but also for preventability, if you will, going forward. We know that the lunatic leftist Democrats would replay all of what we went through during COVID once again if it happened tomorrow. They loved the power. They loved the ability to shut down dissent. to tell us what we could do. It was a trial run of communism. So now thanks to Tulsi Gabbard's release, we have more evidence and therefore more ammunition to win this battle than ever before. It's up to the rest of the institutions that are supposed to serve we, the American people, to take this forward and do something with it. Thanks for being here with me on that one, my friends.
