Welcome to Win Tucson on this Thursday and so much going on and it's elections and people are voting. Not enough, but we have over 7,000 ballots returned, which is a good start. But we have a lot more to go. And Republicans, you're showing up. And thank you for doing that. You know what they put the ballot drop off boxes on the bus? I think the outcome might go a different way. So I think that's my suggestion for the party is push for that. You have to ride on the bus to drop off your ballot. And then we'll get a different outcome. I love it, Matt. That's great. That's perfect. Well, and earlier this week, we had Smith & Win, and today we also have Smith and Win, but it's the... It's the Betsy Brantner Smith version of Smith. So Grandma to B, welcome back to Wynn, Tucson. So happy to have you here for a new installment of Smith & Win. And how is it in Iowa? Well, it's beautiful, although a little cloudy. It's actually going to be warmer here in Iowa today than it's going to be in Tucson, believe it or not. I will do that exchange. It's okay. Yeah, I know, right? But, you know, it's humid here. We have a dry, our dry heat is really true, so it's going to feel a lot nicer, I think, in Tucson, which the other Smith of Smith and Dave Smith is on his way back home for just a couple of days to take care of some things. So you told your daughter that she can't have the baby while he's, why Papa's gone. I have, actually, I went direct to the baby. I talked to him last night, and I'm like, look, how. You better stay in there. Yeah, exactly. So here, so we've got a lot going on, and we've got federal judges. that think that they somehow have extraordinary powers beyond what they're supposed to be doing and giving mandates and directives and in our good old home state well not really i wasn't born there but i grew up there uh illinois so uh what's going on with the ice agents uh with J.B. Pritzker god a man who's never missed a meal and the mayor of uh Chicago. What have they done now? Oh, Lord. So a federal judge, her name... Sorry, I made you answer that question. It's just like, ah. U.S. District Court Judge Lashonda Hunt, who is a Biden appointee, has ordered the removal of a fence surrounding the ice facility in Broadview, Illinois. That's the one they call it Chicago, but it's a suburb of Broadview, just outside the city. Now listen to this, and she says because the construction of this fence was illegal and there are safety risks.

to it. So, in other words, and if you, you know, I think most people know, and Donald Trump has talked about this, how in some states and cities, the permitting process to build a building, to build a fence, things like that, is very arduous. And it's sometimes fraught with corruption, shall we say. So the fence around the ice facility was built on September 23rd, and it was, of course, intended. To protect not only the ICE agents, Kathleen, but the detainees. Because just less than a month ago, let's not forget, we had two detainees in Dallas murdered at an ice facility because of a far left lunatic with a rifle who climbed up onto a... a rooftop across the street and started firing and what he thought was agents and he actually killed two illegal aliens and wounded a third but um so this judge is saying that the fence is in violation of local ordinances and has this risk to public safety but i'm raising my hand i'm raising my hand okay isn't this a federal building and isn't they aren't they protected federally like Does she have the right to, you know, say where they can put the trees, the fence, the landscaping, any of it? Does she have the right to do that? Well, here's the thing. Remember, the Supreme Court keeps hearing case after case after case that these lower district and appellate courts put down these decisions. Remember, in California, for example, right? The Supreme Court had to step in and say, yes, Donald Trump can control the National Guard in certain situations where federal laws involve, things like that. So, yes, these judges, they're activists, and that is something that is really, we're losing. the judiciary here in the United States. We are losing the nature of the judiciary. Judges are not supposed to be activists. And as we've seen over about the last 10 years, we're seeing more and more judges appointed, not for their ability to... be fair and impartial, but for their ability to be political. And unfortunately, that's negatively impacting our judiciary. And we're actually seeing that now in the Supreme Court of the United States with, of course, Ketanji Brown Jackson, who yesterday, I'm sure you've talked about this or you're going to, but yesterday in the hearing the case of political redistricting. Yes. She likened black people to the disabled. And I mean, she literally, it's an insane ruling. In fact, we can talk about it more in a little bit. But she's an activist. But she's a dissenter, right? It wasn't, she didn't get what she wanted.

haven't uh i can't even talk okay you are listening to 1030 the voice your trusted local news and talk and this is smith and win more deadly than a smith and wesson or riding on a bus in tucson we'll be back right after this don't go anywhere welcome back welcome back to win tucson and to smith and win uh i just betsy i want to read something to you tucson arizona I know this is going to be shocked this next sentence, has a high crime rate with significant incidences of both violent and property crimes, making it less safe compared to many other cities in the U.S. Overall crime rate, Tucson reports an overall crime rate of 4,151 offenses per 100,000 residents, which is 67% higher than the Arizona state average. I think the Chamber of Commerce has a problem, but I for sure think that the mayor and council has a problem. Well, they absolutely do. We've had 10 incidents of extreme violence involving either firearms or stabbings just in the SunTrans system, whether on a bus or at a bus stop, since April. And, you know, to Matt's point, That's absolutely what we should do. Voters should have to take the suntran to get to their city election places or when they're turning in their ballots. And if they live, then they can turn in their ballot. Yeah, exactly. I mean, people just need to see what that's like. I see all these posts on social media about, well, you know, I ride the bus in Morana and it's great. Well, yeah, it's great in Morana, but, you know, try jumping on at the Ronstadt Center. and going in any direction there for a few blocks, and you're not going to be happy about it. I think that could be kind of like Halloween 13 or something. You could ride the bus on Halloween and see if you live. You know, and see, you know, and unfortunately in those movies, the kids always go exactly where they're going to go to get killed, right? You know, so it begs the question, Tucson, have you had enough? Have you had enough? Like, It's time you can do a change. You can actually have new people in these seats. Only two. You're still going to have your majority. But maybe, just maybe, they can bring some common sense and some planning to the city so we can stop having crime. Violent crime rate. stands at 585 incidents per 100,000 residents. So translate that is you have a 171 chance of becoming a victim of violent crime. That rate is 63% higher than the national average. 63% higher. We are Tucson, and I've said this for a while. Chicago's got a lot of crime, right? A lot of shootings. But we're not as big as Chicago. We don't have a Chicago River. We don't have any of the things that Chicago has. We don't have two major league baseball teams. But if you took the number of people that we have and you take our crime and you map it on,

We're actually worse than Chicago based on the number of people that we have here. That's disgusting. Well, it absolutely is. And we were, Tucson is not set up for this. This was never intended to be the reality of life in Tucson. And, you know, one of the many things that's unfortunate about this is Tucson is known as a place to retire to. And, you know, people come to Tucson and, you know, they just want to enjoy the, you know, we have this great food scene. We do have a lot of things for seniors. And unfortunately, the city itself is becoming unlivable. And so seniors, they do one of two things. They either leave and go someplace like Texas or Tennessee or Florida. You know, or they move to the suburbs. They move to Marana or Saarita or Valley. And either of those options is really terrible for the city of Tucson. And so the criminal stay, the homeless druggie stay, the seniors with income leave. And unfortunately, the poor, the seniors without a higher income are... stuck and they can't use the transportation system. You know, we have a friend, Linda Johnson, one of our precinct committeemen, who I think this week is moving back to Henderson, Nevada. Yeah, yes. Because she has to use the transit system, and it's no longer safe for her as a senior citizen to do so. It's so sad. It is so sad, and she shared that story that, you know, she doesn't really want to leave Tucson, but. She loves it here. Yeah, but she has to go where she can be safe. Think about that. Tucson has a D-plus safety grade. What does that mean? Yeah, that means you shouldn't live here. You need to live somewhere else. And what, you know, I mean, that just means that you are far more likely in Tucson, Arizona than in the rest of the nation to be a victim of crime. That's a terrible way to live, Kathleen. You shouldn't have to run around. worrying about getting accosted on the bus or worrying about your home being broken into. And you also should have confidence that when you call 911 in the city of Tucson, you're going to get a Tucson police officer immediately. And we don't have those reassurances any longer. Well, and what it says in my little handy dandy guide here is that only 27% of U.S. cities, it's indicating that it is only safer than 27%, which means it's not safer than 73%. So, I don't know. I mean, that's just sad. You know, the Trump initiative. It's preventable. It's preventable. Well, it is preventable. I mean, this is the Donald Trump administration, you know,

crime initiative that has been so successful in Washington, D.C., is showing extraordinary success right now in Memphis. Tennessee, and which is, that's one of the things. In fact, I'll be speaking about that on Newsmax today and have been for the last week. But that, the success that we're seeing in Memphis is now made its way down to the citizens on the ground, if you will. We've seen a lot of news reports where reporters are going to really bad neighborhoods in Memphis. to Section A housing, things like that. And there's kids outside and they're playing and they're talking, these reporters are talking to the moms and the moms are saying, this is the first week since I've moved here that I haven't heard gunfire in my neighborhood and things like that. So Tucson, don't you think Tucson could really benefit from that type of initiative where we flood our streets with additional federal agents and- especially trained National Guardsmen, we could really change those statistics, Kathleen. We could change them for good. We could change them for good, but then what would the mayor and council do? Because they've just started all these initiatives like a week ago. You know, now that they've been in office for four years. It's so hilarious. I know. I think I'm going to try to fix this. They're worried about crime. All of a sudden, oh, did the early ballots drop? I should be worried about crime. Okay. You know, and right now. The southeast part of the city is generally considered the safest, and I live just out of the city, but I am in the southeast part, and you know where I live, and they are trying to annex us. And we're debating on whether or not we want to be annexed, because there's a lot of Republicans that live in my neighborhood. So we're thinking, hey, if you annex us, we can start to vote. That may be a better thing. We can maybe get all these Republican voters added to the roles. And then central neighborhoods have a higher crime rate, and I want you to hear this. with a one and 18 chance of being a victim. And a one out of two chance of being a victim if you've ride the bus system. So, I think, you know, I made that up. I made that up, but it's, I made that up on the bus system. But I could be, I might be writer than I know right now because of what's going on. And we just had a, didn't we have something happened on the bus like two days ago, Matt? What was that? Irvington, 700 block of West Irvington. Okay. A shooting. A shooting. A shooting. Yeah, was a shooting. Bad aim. Bad aim and no one died. Thankfully, a bad aim. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, thank God it wasn't a knife, and they missed. But, you know, but yeah, these deadly weapons attacks. Number 10, since April, yay us. We're consistent.

And, you know, it just, and again, I just want to emphasize because, you know, so many people talk about, oh, Republicans don't care about the poor people and this and that. Who's primarily affected by this crime in Tucson? Yes. Are the poor people. Right. Are people of color. And, you know, the city council and the mayor. apparently just decided to care about this, like you said, a week or two ago. There's ballots went out, sure. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Do you have a ballot? Now I care. You know, and that should be an ad. Oh, you have a ballot now? Now I care. I didn't care until you had a ballot, but now I'm going to pretend like I'm doing something. You know, and I hope and pray, based on what happened to the very first part of the year when we voted down 414 and we said no more money because you're misusing the money that you have. They did nothing from, after losing that, they scolded us. And they've done nothing since then. That should have been a big wake-up call. If they were going to do, if they would have pivoted then, it would have more credibility. But they pivot when they want to pretend that they're doing something. It's offensive. It says, we're not smart enough to figure out that you're not doing your job. And oh, by the way, you have no commitment to doing your job. What you want to do is you want to be important. Well, go be important at your house. But get away, like step down. Our city deserves better leadership. And I am hoping and praying that Jay Tokoff and J. Tocoff and J.L. Wittenbreaker, citywide, give us a chance. They're both business people. They're both smart. They care about the city. And they've both lived here a very long time. We need new leadership in Tucson. So Betsy Brantner Smith, spokesperson for the National Police Association, there's been some shootings. There's been some chaos all over the country. What's going on in the world of law enforcement? Well, back to Chicago for a minute. We have another judge who just, I think your news package talked about it. Another judge has now decided that ICE agents in Chicago have to wear body-worn cameras when they are dealing with protesters. There's also a T, it's called a TRO, a temporary restraining order against those same agents in the Chicago area. They're also being told they can't use tear gas without certain warnings and things like that. And again, back to the activist judges, Kathleen. This judge said, I've been seeing all these terrible pictures and videos.

in the media, and that's what led me to my decision. Now, these pictures and videos in the quote-unquote media are very often tell not the truth. And it's... Oh, say it isn't so, Betsy. I know, shocked, right? And where is that in the Constitution? Where is that in the rule of law? I saw it on my TV. I saw a commercial. I saw it on a Facebook post. So I made a judicial decision. How stupid do you sound? She's probably good friends with Ketanji Brown Jackson. I mean, they probably have a club. Just unbelievable. No doubt. Yeah, it's amazing. And that... And that's what I want people understand. Let me tell you, so here in Iowa yesterday, I went to the gym. I go to Planet Fitness, and so they have a bank of TVs. And they have MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, all these TVs up, and you can tune in your headphones to any one of them. So I was actually listening to a podcast, but I was watching the MSNBC. television and it had closed captions. So I'm kind of paying attention to it. And I'm telling you, Kathleen, for about the 20 minutes that I was on the Stairmaster, not one true thing came out of anyone's mouth on that network. And I was so stunned because I thought, well, this is why we have all these upset Democrats. And this is why we have a no-kings rally coming up, right? And all these things. I've got to ask a question. You know, yeah. People aren't getting the truth. They're not getting the truth. I'm going to raise my hand. So what do you think the connection is with the government being shut down in the no kings rally? What do you think? Do you think that they're going to wait to open the government when the no kings rallies over? And isn't it coming up? It's like, you know, and by the way, in Tucson we should have a no queens rally, just saying. And we'll throw a special party for Arena Romero and say, we're not buying what you're selling. So, but meanwhile, back to the no kings rally. I think it's like the 20-something, right? It's coming up. Yeah, it's coming up. I think it's not this weekend. No, no, no. It's this Saturday, October 18. Okay. So, you know, so we'll have, you know, no doubt. We'll have one here in Tucson. But, you know, so I do now, now let's remember the Democrats, you know, who Chuck Schumer and his fellow Democrats are shut down. Chuck Schumer shutdown. Chuck Schumer shutdown. Chuck Schumer shutdown. Go ahead. And so let's not forget where the Democrats are right now. In addition to doing, you know, not the business of the country, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie were on CNN yesterday talking about absolute nonsense. But let's not forget that a bunch of them, Kathleen, are still in Napa.

They had a big Democrat retreat. I know. They're having a wine party where they're whining and drinking wine. The spa day and things like that. So they don't really have time to get, you know, a long plane ride from Napa, back to Washington, D.C. to do your vote. And so the government. Is it just the senators or is it congressman and senators? No, it's, yeah, it's the entire federal, anybody who wanted to go from the federal legislature. And so they had their, you know, their little wine rally, if you will. And now I think a lot of them are going to be going home wherever that might be this Saturday to attend their local no Kings rally. I'm sure. Um, not yet sworn in. Congressman Adelita Grohova will be at our no-kings rally, uh, in Tucson. And, uh, and so sure, I don't, I, I, and Adelaide, if you're listening, honey, uh, you'll get sworn in when the government, uh, reopens, honey, maybe hit the gym, uh, on your downtime. Um, but, uh, but anyway. Oh, that's right from the National Police Division. But, um, but, uh, yeah. Thank you. We're taking ownership of that. Yeah. We'll take ownership of it. Um, but, but seriously, it's, it's every day that the government is shut, more and more people are losing jobs. They're losing pay. And, and of course, right now the Democrats are fighting the Trump administration. is trying to find money in the Pentagon budget in the defense budget to pay our military members at least because they don't get paid very much. I think they just got paid yesterday. I think they found the money in the couch cushions. Democrats are fighting it. They're fighting it. They're saying you can't shift money around like that in the budget. Well, we can't shift money around, but the government's not open. And guess what? And we can't swear Congress. people that have just been elected in because the government's not open same same situation same problem so everyone's unhappy um and you know god bless america uh you just have to wonder so the the democrat wine fest that just took place um how long was that i believe it was three days And it was optional, but it was paid for by donations. So it wasn't particularly taxpayer dollars. But remember, as taxpayers, we are still paying those people. They're taking their pay. They get their pay. Unless, like our own Congressman Juan Scamani and others on the Republican side. I've said, you know what, I'm not going to take my paycheck while the government shut down. But most Democrats are taking their paycheck. And so they went to Napa, and now they're going to head home so that they can have their, they can be at their own local No Kings rally, which is, by the way, hey, the First Amendment, we revere it, we love it.

Everybody has the right to protest, but it is going to be, every single rally is going to be filled with lies, and it's a horrible drain on our resources. Because when you have these rallies, you have to have police staff. Kathleen, you have to have police officers. To protect them, freedom of speech. You know, so there you go. Hey, oh, Betsy, I think I have my sound on. I am so sorry. So this, I forget, I do. Okay, so the Democrats planned luxury Napa retreat as government shutdown threat looms over Congress. It was a two-day October event at a luxury resort with hot tubs and views includes dinner at a high-end organic vineyard. Well, there you go. Maha, baby, organic. Yeah. Except they don't like him either. And the view tried to shut down his wife, but she came prepared and I loved it. She was awesome. She was. And I think she's figured out that, I mean, she was very liberal. I think she's figured out, you know, why she shouldn't be doing that anymore. But I think it's interesting that, you know, and this was chaired by Senator Kristen Gillibrand. And so she's the head of the New York. Yeah, the Democrat senatorial campaign committee, the DSCC. You know, so this is why Adelaida can't get sworn in. The Democrat senators were at hot tubs and drinking wine. This is kind of under the let them eat cake category, right? Well, that's the entire Democrat Party. Let's face it. The Democrats are the party of the rich. There's the party of the elite. And the entitled. Party of the Clueless. And, you know, we've got to understand now. And I think we're embracing it as Republicans. We really are the party of the working class, the blue collar. and of people who just want common sense, family, faith, and they just want to live their lives. Again, and I know we're going to have to take a break in two minutes, but as I was taking my husband to the, as I was taking my husband to the airport this morning. We were actually talking about this, and I said, yeah, you know, it's sad that half the country thinks that we live in this terrible place where they have to have a no-kings rally and all that. And then the other half, us are really happy with the way things are progressing and our 401Ks are happy and our children are happy and things are going well in the schools. So much. positivity so many things to live for but they're going to gather and talk about no kings which well they couldn't even give him one day on a day of on a day of world peace they couldn't even say his name you know say his name we need to play that song say his name they you know they couldn't even and you have world leaders from all over the world um applauding our president and i'm sorry i think donald hump Donald trump was pretty humble

I do. He was extremely humble for him. Yes. And yet you have guys like Anthony Blinken say, oh, he just continued on what we started in the Biden administration. Oh, please. That's just a lie. It's just a lie. They lie. It is. It is absolutely lie. All right. We have reached our break point. We are going to take a break, and we're going to come back and we're going to finish. I have to do an interview with Telemundo today. on the... That's exciting. It is. They're coming here. And I get to talk about Adelita and a whole bunch of her friends protesting outside of Mike Johnson's office. So, and how the Republicans are being mean to her, but that's really not what's happening. So we're going to give the other side of the story, because to your point about watching the news and it was all one-sided. So the nice thing is they're giving us an opportunity. to say the other side. Well, and you know in that case, Kathleen, the case where they were protesting outside of Mike Johnson's office, in reality what they did was storm it. And a Capitol police officer, you can go online and see the video, did such a great job. of dealing with those people. And he's not getting paid. So like an insurrection? Is that what happened over there? Yeah. Well, yeah. It kind of sounds like it, but we're not allowed to say that. And just like Nancy Pelosi, getting very upset yesterday because she was asked by a reporter from Lindahl TV, hey, why didn't you bring in the National Guard during January 6th? And she just... she snapped and just absolutely lost it. And it's the thing. The Democrats in Congress, they, and, you know, in Washington, D.C. in general, they love to use the Capitol Police when it benefits them. They love to use federal rulings when it benefits them. But, you know, it's just like now. with the indictment of Letitia James, the indictment of James Comey, and probably the indictment today or tomorrow of John Bolton. Now they're calling it, oh, lawfare, and this is so terrible. And yet for the last literally 10 years, the Democrats have engaged in lawfare against Donald Trump. But that was okay. You know, people are really on to this.

They're really on to the, you know, and part of that, a big part of that is because of talk radio. Kathleen, you and Matt are a big part of, thank God for AM Talk Radio, because that's where, really, people can get the truth. And that's why under Joe Biden, the FCC was really looking hard at trying to get rid of AM radio. That's why the auto industry, again, spurred by Joe Biden, wanted to take AM radios out of new cars. We didn't talk about that a lot. But that was one of the things that, you know, we had to, as conservatives, we had to fight for. We had to fight the FCC and to make sure that we have things like talk radio. And now, of course, we have independent journalists, citizen journalists, whatever you want to call them. And that's why in the Trump White House briefing room, there is a special chair, every White House briefing for someone. from the independent media. Last week, our own Brandon Tatum from Arizona, formerly of Tucson TV, was sitting in that chair, and that's how Benny Johnson got to be known now. That's how people from this girl from Lindahl TV that talked about Nancy Pelosi, you're going to talk to Nancy Pelosi. We're finally learning the truth, and it's a good thing. Well, and I think people always suspected the truth. And so a lot of, let's go all the way, we can go back even further than J6, but there were a lot of things that, Russiagate, all the things that happened that weren't true. And so I think the American people are kind of like, they're suspicious. And not that they're conspiracy theorist, but they're like, oh, maybe there's another side to that story. At least they're starting to question it as opposed to being sheep. And the Democrats are losing their power and their grip. And in Tucson, I have to say, there's way more people registering to be Republicans than Democrats. And that to me is hope. That gives me hope. And hopefully when people go to the ballot, not to bring it back to Tucson, but that's what we have to do. We have a city council election. We have high crime in Tucson. We have a, not a defunding, but an underfunding of police presence. We have potholes the size of, you could lose a small child in these potholes. And we, tell me I'm wrong. And we have one of the most incredibly horrific homeless.

and fentanyl poisoning going on in our city. And the chief of police, and I've said this once, I'm going to say it again, the chief of police. Chief Casmar said 50% of all the drugs that come in this country come through Tucson, Arizona. We shut that down here. Do you know what a contribution we could make to the rest of the United States? And by the way, maybe our crime rate would go down. Just saying, you know, because... And think about the lives that would be saved. Oh, exactly. No. Fethanol, you can find fentanyl for just pennies. You know, it's intentional. And, and let's just wind this back. We know who's providing the key ingredients to make the fentanyl. We know the distribution system is those drugs come through Mexico. Are they being created there? Probably. And then we have this criminal enterprise that goes across our country, and it's not just in Arizona, but it starts here. So if you take out the starting point, maybe they circumvent us, but let's not be the ones that are contributing to it. And you don't hear the mayor talking about that at all, not at all. And so their band-aid attempts to fix what's broken in Tucson, they're not going to work. You know, they're just not going to work. And if you're tired of it, You should be tired of it. If you've had enough, just vote Wittenbreaker and Toakoff. That's all I'm going to say. You have a ballot. Do something different. Don't keep doing what we've been doing. It's the definition of insanity. And we have enough insanity without extra help. You know, it's not... And return your ballot, people. Yeah, don't think about it. Just do it. You know, just do it. This is one of the issues that we have is people get that ballot and they throw it on their dining room table with the rest of the mail they want to deal with. And then it's too late. And that, honestly, that happens to a lot of Republicans. Because Republicans are busy working, and we're busy doing volunteer work, and we're busy involved in our families. And so very often, especially in the city of Tucson, people, you know, they kind of get distracted with life, and they're sort of waiting to go on election day, things like that.

If you've got that mail-in ballot, which if, correct me if I'm wrong, if you're a city voter, you get a mail-in-ballot regardless, whether you requested it or not. Get that ballot and return it as soon as possible. And here's what today's right. So far, Democrats have returned 4.26%. Republicans have returned 4.78% higher than the Democrats, and independents have turned in 1.96%. So I just want you to understand. We are doing our job, but there's less Republicans, so we need everybody, every Republican. The Democrats are, you know, they are not paying attention. This is our fifth election in this city. This year. Fifth. We have fatigue, but we cannot be tired. We cannot be weary. We have to fight, fight, fight. And I'm not even... I have no words for what the lack of leadership is causing in our community. And this is such a great place. I mean, as a 17-year-old girl, this is where I decided in the whole country that I wanted to come to college. This is where I wanted to be. And I wasn't wrong about Tucson. but we can change the leadership. It's time. It is absolutely time. You know, I think Tucson, you need to become a teenage girl, break up with your boyfriend, and let's get a new one because it is time to change what we've got. I don't have any other better analysis. And you've got to get both of them on. You've got to have somebody that seconds, the other's motion. You've got to get both of them. You've got to get two. Thanks, Matt. Yeah, Matt's right. Because it does us no good to see. Yeah, that's a very good point. And you know what? If people can hear. Two voices, J. O. Wittenbreaker and Jay Tolkoff on the Tucson City Council, that's going to give everyone else some hope. It's also going to give other people who might be thinking about running for mayor, for other city council seats, who might think, oh, God, it's not possible. This is going to show them that it's possible. So we've got to get the vote out, you Republicans, you independents, and yes, you Democrats who are tired of waking up, looking in the mirror, and knowing that your party has left you. If you voted no on 414, then finish the job. If you voted no on 414, finish the job, Tolkoff and Wittenbreaker, because why you voted no on 414 is the very reason why you need to vote for them. And I just have to say, personally, from the Republican Party, thank you for everything you do for Republicans, for Republican candidates. And we've been handing out these Charlie Kirk signs with Charlie and Erica on them. And people literally are moved to tears. So I just have to say thank you to you because you were the reason that we got those signs. so grateful. Well, thank you and thank you for having me here today. I'm very excited. She didn't say it, but I will. We're very good friends. I love this lady. I didn't get a chance to say it. I would have said it. And what she does for our country and particularly for our state and You know, she's given so much of her time and love and encouragement to so many other people. And it's just great to have a friend like you. Well, thank you. And I feel the same way back. I really do. Because there's things that sometimes, Elaine is at the top of my phone a friend list. If there's something going on in the party or whatever, Elaine, I need help here. And she feels the same way. That's right. These signs I went. She went and picked him up for me in Phoenix. Come on, people. Twice. Twice? Because we ordered, what, $2,000 the first time and then $1,500 the second? Yeah, yeah. And so, you know, and it looks like we're running out and we're going to have to talk about, do we need to get some more? Well, people love these signs. And for anybody that, as for me and my, is it my house? We'll follow the Lord? No. I've handed out thousands of signs, but I don't know what it says. As for us and our lives, we will serve the Lord. Because what I needed to do. I knew that was the scripture that God wanted me to give to everybody. But I wanted to make it something so it didn't need to necessarily just be for me and my house. But for me and my business, for me and my school or my children or my life or anything around me, everything to me is about God. Yes. And so, you know. God first. Yeah. And saying, wow. You know, as for us and our lives, everything he's given us, we will serve the Lord. Yeah. Wow. It is. And you know what? I think, I know you feel this way, so I'm going to mention this, but.

Our president this week, right? On Monday and the return of the hostages, the 20 that were alive. And if he, I believe, and you've been around him a long time. You get the occasion to be with them more than I do. But I would tell you that he was clearly humbled and clearly guided by God this week. Am I wrong to think that? Well, I'm going to tell you something. He gets closer to God every day as we all should. You know, that's why they call it a walk with God. And, you know, I remember when I first found the Lord in a stronger way in my life and I started really digging into his word and trying to be more, you know, every day about him, my sister, one of my sisters saying to me, Well, you know, the more you know, the more your walk is stronger and the closer you are to the Lord. And I was sort of, you know, like, what do you mean? How can you be closer? Well, you can. The more you know him, the more you understand his word, the more you... focus everything in your life on him the better it gets the stronger you are the more wisdom and knowledge that you have and it's amazing well and i think that if you start to have a walk with god and you have a relationship with god and god's not just a vending machine where you call where you pray to god when things are not going well but you pray to god every day that he uses oh yeah And you know the difference. Oh, yeah. Sometimes people wait to talk to God when everything's in a crisis, which you can, and he will listen. He always listens, but I think it's more important to be, like, have a plan and be, God gives us all different gifts and different talents. Right. And to figure out how does God want me to do this? And sometimes. I feel miserably, but sometimes I can just, and that's then I know it's me and I've misguided somehow. But then sometimes when... something so miraculous happens that you know you couldn't do it by yourself, that you know it is God. And I think that there's, and it's getting there. And as I get older, I find that I'm there more than I ever was when I was younger. And I think it's that walk that you get trained, like an exercise or whatever. If you do it enough, it becomes natural. It becomes the way that you are. And having God in our lives really gives us a different quality of life. Right. And I love all these young people coming out, right? Yeah. And the thing is, is, you know, what a tragedy that Charlie was assassinated. And what a sorrowful time it was and still is for many. However, I love my God because he can take...

the hugest evil that there is and turn it for good. And he has. And he has. And that's what he's going to continue to do. Every day, I am blown away by the beauty of things that are happening within the church, within different countries. It's going to take a long time and it's called forever. As long as the earth still exists and Christ hasn't returned, there will always be trials. The Bible tells us that. Yes. But I'm so proud of our president and you ask about what he's like. The first time I ever met him, I had just lost my husband six months earlier. And I shared that with him and said, you know, if he'd have had the chance to meet you, he would have been so grateful because he just respected you so much. And then instead of him just saying, thank you, he started a conversation with me. And I knew right then and there who this man was. He was a man who... Whomever he's dealing with, whatever he's dealing with, you are and it is the only thing he focuses on. And you become the only one in the room. There can be a, and there was at this time, thousands of people waiting for him to come into a rally. But. You and he were on the same wavelength because he gives everybody. That kind of attention. He does. Absolutely. It's beautiful. It is beautiful. And it's funny that you say that because that's my experience when I've gotten to talk to him, I think, three times. And that is exactly my experience. And I am just... There is so much going on in the world. And he stays laser-focused. And I was at the Charlie Kirk Memorial, and he was the last one, I think, to speak. And quite frankly, the fact that the president, the vice president, the secretary of state, and all the other dignitaries were there. Senators, congressmen. Everything. I mean, just hundreds. Now, over a billion people have seen that service. Elaine, we have to take a very quick break. We'll be back right after this. Welcome back to Win Tucson with my very special guest, Elaine Beck, and we are going to talk about wisdom warriors. And what are the wisdom warriors? Well, you know, they are you and I. Oh, no. And anybody else out there over the age of 50 or 55, depending on what part of the country you came from, whether you're a big city person or you lived in the burbs or whatever.

You know, we are the ones that experience living in a free country. And, you know, to me, freedom is feeling safe. It's feeling confident that you can trust your neighbor, that you can be open and talk and have a conversation. Even if you disagree, the conversation goes on or you agree to disagree. Civil discourse we used to call. Yes, exactly. Where you could debate somebody but not want to shoot them. Right, right. And now you don't even have to debate them. Some of these people, literally, I saw an amazing thing where they said that most of the shootings, when they're individual shootings, are caused by things as simple as, you know, whether or not your tree hangs over on their fence. But you would, the fact that you would shoot someone for that. At all, at all. And yet over petty things like that, you know, the beauty of Wisdom Warriors is. There was a time, you'll remember this, when we were taught, respect your elders. So we are going to be the biggest elders club in the world. And in Tucson, we're kind of like a deal here because, you know, the average age is 72, so that should tell you everything. Yeah, exactly. And, you know, the beauty of it, though, is Charlie Kirk and I met. Many times and we worked together and I have interviewed him many times. Justice interviewed him. They became close friends. We had a working relationship. I remember going to him and sitting down and talking, you know, advising him as a wisdom warrior, as an elder and showing him respect. You know what I remember, too, there was a time, and this was many years ago, like I was say four or five, when I first had met you, and they put some publication out that was really not, it was off message for them. Yeah. And I remember that you were very upset about it because you thought, here's this kid that's putting God first and being very Christian, but whatever they'd put out was the antithesis of that. And I remember that you went and you talked to him and it went away. Like they fixed it. Right, right. But that is the best example I can think. I'm sure there were many others. But the fact that number one, he showed you respect. Right. Number two, he listened to you. And number three, he took the coaching.

And I look at who Charlie was. And we became better friends over that, by the way. Yes, because you were honest with him and you were truthful. And you didn't withhold your funds. You didn't threaten him. You said, hey, this isn't right. This isn't who you are. This isn't who your organization is. And I... What I got out of that was that they weren't going to compromise. And Charlie really pivoted, I think, after that, but they weren't going to compromise their values or what they stood for. And the more that he turned towards God, and by the time God, I can't even say the words, by the time he was assassinated, He was so convicted in his faith. Amen. Amen. And the example of marrying Erica and having that family and speaking about God, he was relentless. Right. And I think he gave a place and we're seeing it right now of all these young people saying, I want that. I want that. I don't want men identifying, all the other crap that's going on. But he didn't diminish people. And I think the only thing that makes me angry is the portrayal of him as a racist. He wasn't. As, you know, homophobic, all those things. He wasn't. He just knew where he stood and he would listen. He would put his mic down. He wouldn't try to yell over people. He was respectful. Yeah, please. Yeah, we've got to get back to the Wisdom Warriors. Oh, please. Go ahead. I'm so sorry. And the reason I brought Charlie up was because The month before, a month before he was assassinated, myself and Justice met with him. He had a big event. They didn't have time to meet with anybody, but he took time just to meet with the two of us. That's great. And we shared with him about the Wisdom Warriors and how it was the perfect mix, the perfect match, was his... young people and our elders, the people of this country that have wisdom and knowledge and experience that already know these things. You know, there was a time. that when we were young or when I was young and many of us were young that you know grandma and grandpa some of them ended up staying home you know they they went into the house with everybody and grandma lived with you and if she didn't or grandma and grandpa didn't they lived next door or they lived two blocks away So they were not the ones wielding that wooden spoon when the child did something wrong. So the kids would go run into Grandma and Grandpa. Oh, I'm in trouble. And guess what Grandma and Grandpa did? They probably said something like, well, you did the wrong thing. Your parents did the right thing.

But you need now to go back and apologize to your mom and dad. And you need to pray about what you're doing. Yes. And so we have lost that. Not only did we push Jesus away in the 60s, worse than ever, and then keep doing that over the years, but we also pushed the wisdom away by not giving the grandparents the go-ahead to speak. And I get it that, you know, some parents are like, you know, mom and dad, quit telling the kids to go do this and go do that. That isn't what we want them to do. Well, fine. Don't tell them what to do. Tell them your stories. How else do kids, do any of us learn? We learn by sharing our experiences. I mean, as Christians, we all know that the best thing we can do is share our testimony. And I love it that our testimony isn't limited to the day that we gave our life to Christ. But all of the wonderful things God has done in our life. Well, and sometimes when you give your life to Christ, it's because of things that have happened. And those experiences, those lessons in life can be so incredible. And they can happen before or after. But either way, to your point, they serve as great lessons for our next generation. And I think if I'm encouraged by anything, since the assassination is that. that so many young people seem to, but I love the idea of pairing them up with people over 50, which is me and you, as much as I hate admitting that. But because you do learn things, you do have life lessons. There are times in our lives where we had very difficult times, but when you navigate through and you navigate through with God. Right. It makes an incredible difference, and it's knowing that at any moment, you can turn to God. And I know you know this. There's times when there's life and death. And it is those times when there's life and death and you turn to God and God navigates you through, then you know that anything is possible with God. Yeah. Well, I want to share with your listeners that on the 22nd of this month, a week, next Wednesday, we are going to have our first grand gathering. at Saddlebrook in the ballroom. Yay. And it's going to be from 10.30 in the morning to 2.30 in the afternoon. We've got some very special guests. Even my dear friend, Dr. Ben Carson, will be having a message with us. Oh, good. And coming in by Skype to speak to everybody.

You know, he and I have done a couple things together, and I want to remind everybody about Wayne that we are not enemies and that we're supposed to continue to keep praying. You know, it's almost Thanksgiving again, and it was two years ago. Is there been two years? Yeah. I thought it was a year ago. No, so it'll be our second anniversary of Wayne. Of Wayne. We are not enemies, which is all about the scripture and talking about, you know, seeking God. face and turning to him and turning from our wicked ways and instead forgiving our neighbors, forgiving people that have hurt us, because it's only in doing so that God, as he says in his scripture, can save our land. And what has been happening over the last two years? Have you seen more and more of that since we started praying together with Wayne? Yeah. Let's continue the praying. Pray for God to help you forgive those people that have hurt you and let go of the heaviness that you carry. Pray for your friends that are doing things that are wrong and ask God to reveal the truth that they should seek their face. Help them understand better. It's just so exciting. But. you know he's going to be there for that there's going to be many other good guests some wonderful people and we will be sharing with you more about wisdom warriors and how everybody you know we have the studio right here and from anywhere in the country we can do a video with you and you can tell your story to the young people. I love it. And this is going to be ongoing, and there's going to be a lot of nostalgia there and a lot of fun things. It's just going to be great time. We're going to have a lot of nostalgic things there, and we're going to do a free lunch. Everything's free this time. Oh, wow. This is our big one.

where we're just like opening the doors. And you want people to come and find out of them. Yeah, we want everybody to sort of be guinea pigs. And I mean that in the most loving way. Okay, good. We want you all to come and give us your feedback. Tell us what you think of the program. We're going to have some wonderful gifts that will be raffled off free again. Yay. And we have wonderful speakers. I think that you're really going to love the idea of 20 young people from TPSA will be joining all of us so that they can ask you their questions and listen to your stories. I love it. I love it. So that we can all give feedback and say, You know, Mrs. So-and-so here and Mr. Smith or whoever it might be, it gave the best story and that will stick with me for the rest of my life. That is what our goal is. Our goal is to give these young people, even relationships. We would never expect any of the teenagers at whatever age or early young adults. to meet up at somebody's home. But we would certainly suggest, you know, make friends. You know, go meet for coffee sometime if you've got, you know, if you want to exchange numbers, there's all kinds of things we can do. And especially with the people in your neighborhood. Don't forget, this isn't just about TPS. TPS. There's young people everywhere. Yeah. I mean, it's your church, you know, in your in your golf group or in your whatever group. Pick a ball. Yeah. There's all people of all ages and they love your stories. And if you hold them inside and you don't share the moments in your life that something miraculous happened, you're not doing what is ask of us as Christians. And that is to spread God's word. That's how they learn. It's why so many young people. are so alone right now. They live in such a tough world, Kathleen, where they have these phones and they talk to each other through them. They don't know how to communicate even anymore. We want to give them people that know how to communicate and have fun with them. I think that's great. And I think that it's great that they're from TPSA, but I think that we've all learned a lesson here, which is that... There were many kids, young people that hadn't been part of TPSA. They'd never heard Charlie Kirk. Right. But after he was assassinated, now over a billion people have seen his service. Right. And what I love is they're like, oh, this is reasonable. Oh, this is great. Oh, you know, and now I think there were 2,800 chapters. the day Charlie died, there's over 7,000. Think about that. Yeah. You know, and, and I, and I just have to think Charlie is seeing it all from a different perspective, but. I hate to correct you, but there's over 70,000. They haven't opened them all, though. There's a request for them. There's a request for that. Actually, it's more than that. Yeah. So in time, the numbers are just going to, it's just like with us, you know.

I want to clarify one thing. Proverbs media group has been entrusted through God to me. Yes. But I have some other things, including... The Wisdom Warriors, that is a nonprofit. Okay, so it's a separate organization. Thank you for that clarifications. Yes. And I wanted you to know that. But, you know, we've got such a strong team. When we do anything, we all jump in with all fours. You know what? Everyone, what I love about the spirit of all the work you do, Elaine, is that you encourage. and you support and you bring people together that maybe wouldn't, obviously young people and old people don't hang out. We don't. You know, I joke about old person with phone because I can't do half the things that young people can do on their phones. But at the end of the day, there's life experiences that you can't text about. No, and that they don't, the only way they will ever know the truth, be truth about living in a free. country in this day and age is when we share our stories when we the people who built this country when we the people who died for in the first and second world war and in korea and all these places that they fought and gave up life and limb to secure this country so that they can live in it. They need to know that. They need to know that as bad as we are because the country is run by humans and we make mistakes. And not AI. Sorry to tell you that. The country's not run by AI. No. And the thing is, is what I'm saying, though, is even though we're not perfect. You know, we're still the greatest country on earth. We're still the freest country on earth. We're so blessed. We are still fighting to get those freedoms back in line and to remember the golden rule and live out the biblical values. And that's what Wisdom Warriors is about. Well, and I think it is a wonderful opportunity for anybody who's in Pima County to come and to be a good old example of wisdom. And yet I also find that when I talk to young people, that young people through their lens and their perspective have wisdom too. And I think that it's not a one-way street. I think that there will be a mutual benefit. uh because oh absolutely you know i think that's and i think that's like the the unintended consequence so yes you can bring your wisdom old people over 50 um alpha hydroxies our friend uh but uh i think the other thing is that the young people um by an exchange of ideas and and whatever challenges they have it gives us insight

Because the challenges that young people have aren't the challenges we had. We didn't have social media. We didn't have all the things. We had patriotism. Patriotism was alive and well when you and I were younger. And we didn't have so many people. And we didn't have, you know, we had three or four TV stations. We had like about 20 or 30 different radio stations. We had... You know, we went to church and school and to all these different things to communicate with people because we couldn't get it coming into our houses any other way. Right. And when we graduated from high school or even junior high, there wasn't a thousand options. There wasn't a thousand radio stations, a thousand TV stations. Do you know how much harder it must be to walk amongst thousands of students instead of come from a small community and know everybody there and have a conscience? There's so many things that these young kids don't get because different quality of... Yeah. I mean, so many families need to get back to being families and setting down at the dinner table together. They don't even have that a lot of times. No. And that dinner table, you know, my mom put a dinner on the table every night. Every night. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And so did I. Yeah. Well, and my kids would debate that I did or didn't do that. But they did grow up. They are all still alive. And maybe we had more happy meals and pizza than we should have. But we got there because, you know, we, especially through the teenage years when everyone had functions to do. But at the end of the day. that family is the heart of somebody. It is. It's their future. What we teach them when they are young. And, you know, they're still young until they're 25, in my view. Well, their brains aren't fully formed until they're right. Exactly. And so, you know, in those formative years of their life, They need wisdom. They need people to share the truth of the history of this country that's been denied to them in school. They need to understand the real biologies of the country. Yeah. And it's just, it's just going to be fun. And I want you to know, this is just number one. Okay. This is going to be chapter one. And it's going to be the first elders club. And we will be going across this state up in Phoenix, up to all of the other senior communities in that. And there's many in Arizona. And there are. And so.

What a blessing. Don't forget to go south to Green Valley because there's a lot of people. Absolutely. I said across the whole state, sweetie, up, down, over and under. I love it. It's going to be fun. We ask you to join us. We look forward to hearing your stories. You know, I love it. Every time I run into a new person. And we can actually sit and talk about some of the wonderful things that have happened in our life. We grow from it. And nobody can deny that that's an enjoyable moment. 100%. And especially when you throw God in the mix. Well, and that's like the first ingredient, you know, like you need eggs and a cake. So we have to take a quick break. We are talking to Elaine Beck. So please, if you live in the city and you have a ballot, don't leave it on your counter. bananas go bad and ballots go bad so we need you to vote amen right and we need change Janet Wittenbreaker Jay Toakoff it's time for change we need people that will really contribute to the city but Another person who's contributing to the city, to the county, to the state is Elaine Beck from Proverbs Media. So tell us some of the other things that you're doing. I'm really excited for this party next Wednesday. But what else? You do a lot of work, Elaine. Well, you know, I do and follow God, and he's always putting me in a new position. And about close to five years ago now, I realized a really big problem. It was right around COVID, and that was that we had no place for housing for people on fixed incomes that they could afford because everything was going up because of COVID. And life's changed, lifestyles changed. They took, you know, what used to be local... hotels and stuff and turned them into places where people could live. And it goes on and on to the point where now there was people that lived in there and these little apartments. And all of a sudden they raised the rent. And it wasn't $50. It was $200, $500, $600, $600, $800. And when you're on a fixed income, that means that you're either disabled.

Or, and I mean truly disabled. Right. Or you are a senior and you have no other income other than what the government gives you or a retirement income or... You're a veteran. Those people, I couldn't stand the thought of them being on the street. So when I found out there was one, I bought one condo, and then there was more, and I bought more condos, and then I bought more condos, and then I bought more condos. And you've housed a lot of people. And, you know, the way that we do it is just, this is what God gave me to do. You know, when I say those words, I want you to know the Holy Spirit actually moves me and tells me what to do. So when I found out this was happening, I bought up these condos, completely refurbished them because I will not put somebody in a home I wouldn't live in myself. And then I turned around and I said, okay. They only have to pay 50% of their income for housing. No more. So if they got only $900 a month, and that's usually around the lowest that you'll get on a fixed income, they only had to pay $450 and it leaves them money for food and some other ancillary things that they need, even if they don't have family and that. And we have churches and people that volunteer that help them too. And we do drives for people to give us, you know, furniture and cards. you know like a credit or not a credit card a gift card a gift card from a grocery store or something and we'd love for y'all to you know start sending us stuff like that or you can donate you know seven dollars a month to some of the other nonprofits that we have because you know i just love people And I couldn't stand the thought. I mean, we literally have, you know, veterans in there that were on this, about to be on the street. We have people that, you know, we brought in, and they've since then died because they were seniors. And they would have died on the street rather than in a home. And it's one of my greatest things that I feel that God has allowed me and given me the ability to do. But we could sure use, you know, some of the churches to do some mission donations. The churches need to know because there's housing there. If you get somebody in that position... There's housing available. Right. But you have to qualify. Right. You have to be on a fixed income.

Can't be on drugs. You can't be on drugs. You have to pass, you know, all of the drug screening, and you can't be an alcoholic, and you can't bring in things that might hurt other people. Right. So, you know, we have to be careful. Yeah, of course. And, but, you know. You've got more qualifications than the city's going to have for their free housing, but we won't go there today. Well, the thing is, is we're also... You have to sign a paper saying that you're willing to go to a Bible study. I love it. You know, we want you to better your entire life, not just put a roof over your head. We want you to have a neighborhood. Most of these are groups of houses so that, you know, like there's eight people can stay in different individual ones on one property. There's 12 that can stay in another one. I mean, it's great. It's just a friendship. It's a great place to be. It's safe. And we're building two new buildings. And we need to come up with $1.5 million to build them some buildings. So anybody that's willing to donate even a small amount. How many units will that be, Elaine? Well, that one's going to be four more units, but it's also going to be a laundromat and it's going to be an office. And it's going to be a recreation center because these apartments are small. Yes. Okay. But this gives them some outside. It gives them a chance to all get together for those Bible studies to have. We have parties for them. I love it. At Christmas, at Easter, at Thanksgiving, we do things to make their lives fuller. And we just needed a place to do that. And we're going to continue to buy and grow so that there's enough space. And, you know, we help. children. We help those people that have been, you know, addicted. We help people that are, you know, have all kinds of needs, our military and stuff. And I love that. But let's not neglect the people that made this country what it is today. Let's not forget them. Yeah, and the fact that my mom lives in our guest house for the, Scottsdale, she had an apartment in Scottsdale where her and my dad lived, and this month will be 13 years he's been gone. And they just kept raising the rent. So this November will be two years she's lived with us. And I understand firsthand. Yes. And we are fortunate enough and financially well enough that we. You know, when we moved to our home, there was no guest house, there was no garage there, but we built it because we saw this need. And quite frankly, that's good for my mom. But everyone doesn't have that. No, no. And so I think it's important that you do what you can. And...

I, you know, it's really sad when you see people on the street that you can tell that they, whatever life circumstances have brought them there and that they're not, that's not, they're not wanting to be homeless. There's people that want to be homeless or there's people that are, have fallen victim to addictions. But then there's people that just through life circumstances. And I think this is such a. generous and wonderful opportunity to help people in Tucson, especially veterans, like that just would break my heart, that they've served, they put their lives on the line, and at the end of their life, why can't we do the same? Right, and you know, we are blessed. So many of us are blessed, but we're all going to come to that point in our life when we're going to get older. I mean, you know, Kathleen, I know truly. that up until 16 years ago, if my life hadn't turned around and I hadn't met my wonderful angel husband who passed away six years ago, I could be one of those people that is living in an apartment and can't afford it and can't work. I am so blessed that at my age that I can still work and I can still serve the Lord. And nowhere in the Bible does it say you retire, so you serve the Lord, your God, all the days of your life? And that's my goal. Well, and tell my children, it's okay that God says that I don't have to retire. That's right. They keep asking me, when are you going to retire? And I'm like, I'm not done yet. I still have work to do. And I feel compelled to do that work. Like you know when the Holy Spirit is upon you and you're doing it for the right reasons, not for your ego, not for a title, not for any glory. You're doing it because God is called. And wait a minute, wait a minute. I'm going to interrupt you. Do you know what we're actually saying? what are we saying we're saying we give god all the glory it's not us doing it anyway thank you thank you gave us the health he gave us the ability he gave us the time and the talents and the treasures and you know what That is why we're here to serve him. So I give him all the glory. Every word that I say, whether it's on this show or any of my shows, which I wanted to mention that. which is incredible pressure if you are going to be homeless. Yeah. You know, so that you, and as we know right now, Tucson is not as safe as it could be. No, it certainly isn't. But the beauty of the seniors and what we're doing with Wisdom Warriors is the fact that those seniors, many of them, have lost hope. or don't feel like they're needed anymore. We need you. We love you. We know how hard you work for this country. We know you have skills. We know you have stories.
