So last week, Ron DeSantis and Florida Surgeon General Joseph Lattapo unveiled a plan to remove state vaccine mandates with Lattipo comparing mandates to slavery, saying all of them, every last one of them should end. Now, Florida already bans COVID vaccine mandates for students, but it still requires shots for things like polio, MMR, chickenpox, hepatitis B, fully repealing. the mandates that would require action from the state legislature so it's not as simple as the governor and the state surgeon general just you know snapping their fingers and making those changes and it's not clear the legislature would go along with this plan on friday president trump was asked about florida's plan and said this well i think we have to be very careful look you have some vaccines that are so amazing uh the polio vaccine i happen to think is amazing uh a lot of people think that COVID is amazing. You know, there are many people that believe strongly in that. But you have some vaccines that are so incredible. And I think you have to be very careful when you say that some people don't have to be vaccinated. It's a very, you know, it's a very tough position. So I'd give you an answer. I'll give you a feeling. But just initially I heard about it yesterday. And it's a tough stance. Look, you have vaccines that work. They're just pure and simple work. They're not controversial at all. And I think those vaccines should be used. Otherwise, some people are going to catch it and they endanger other people. And when you don't have controversy at all, I think people should take it. I think that was an important message for the president to put out there to push back against this plan, which would be insane.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And it ain't broke. And look, there are exemptions that people can receive for their kids, but it's not just your kid in play here. When you start rolling back these kinds of vaccines that have worked and prevented diseases, serious diseases from spreading for how many decades you're putting the entire community at risk here. We'd be the only state to do this. You had Senator Rick Scott. He came out and said, basically, there's no reason to go down. this road and I don't think it's something the legislature would ultimately go for here in this state. But it's a plan that got a lot of headlines, but I think the president made some really important points there in terms of, you know, this is one of the big accomplishments eradicating things like polio and having these vaccines for something like hepatitis B. The amount of good that they have done over the past couple decades, look, the COVID vaccine, I understand some of the concerns there. When it comes to these other vaccines that we've been doing for a long time now, I think the president is right on this one. I think the governor and the state search in general, their plan, I don't think it's something that most Floridians, when you take a look at this, there are some who would be in favor of that. Most Floridians would not be for that. Right now, let's bring in our national correspondent, Rory O'Neill, whose report's brought to by Mark Spain real estate. So Rory, what happened at this Hyundai factory in Georgia? Yeah, so there was a raid on this facility. It's outside Savannah. It was being constructed on behalf of Hyundai and LG. And it was going to be, or is going to be a car battery manufacturing plant. Again, outside of... Savannah, but there was a raid on the location. Last week, nearly 500 people caught up in the sweep, more than 300 of them from South Korea working in the country illegally, according to ICE, and they are now in process of being sent back to their home countries. What happens to the building of this factory? Now, I know... One of the arguments for doing these kinds of raids and this immigration enforcement operation that we're seeing across the country is to have American workers do those jobs. But when you're talking about, you know, a raid and the removal of some, you know, almost 500 people from a job in the outskirts of Savannah, can you find? Right? The people who are able to do what these, especially South Korean illegal immigrants were doing? Right. And they were subcontractors. So Hyundai and LG will be the operators of this plant. But the people caught up in the raid were actually subcontractors hired for the construction of it. So like, for instance, no Hyundai people were.

6:15

No Hyundai employees were caught up in this at all. So this is still at the subcontractor level as this place is being built. But to your point, you know, trying to find the staff that can either just translate what's going on there with what they want to build on scene for the construction of this facility. You know, and then this gets back to that larger issue of when this administration or any administration has some of these international deals to say, well, XYZ company is going to invest. a half a billion dollars in a new plant, well, then there has to be some accommodation for people from that other country to be able to live and work here. You know, Hyundai isn't just going to hand over the keys to a half billion dollar plant and say, I hope the Americans get it right. Yeah, you know, they want some of their own people there. Now, what that number is, what that number should be, that's what should be part of these negotiations. And that's one thing, South Korea would felt pretty embarrassed with the fact that the ICE video was posted. Faster than video of what happened at the Marlins game. All right, let's get to that. We're joined by our national correspondent, Rory O'Neill. We have a baseball Karen that's making national news this morning. Yeah, Philly's Karen is the nickname, and this is what AI was meant for, right? I mean, holy cow, it's been remarkable to see the online reaction here. There is just no one supporting this Phillies fan. No. who was at the game at Lone Depot Park. There's a home run. There's a scramble for the ball. A dad from West Palm Beach is able to get the ball in the scrum, walk it back to his son who's celebrating his 10th birthday this week, gives the ball to this kid who's got his glove with him. And then here comes Philly's Karen to say, that's my ball. That landed near my seat. I deserve that ball. play Kate screaming Karen, the dad just takes the ball out of the kid's glove, gives it to her and says, go away. Yeah. And in the subsequent interviews, it sounds like he regrets that. But the Marlins made good. They were there in a heartbeat. Here's a swag bag for the kid. And then to top that, the Phillies came in and said, you know what? Why don't you come down after the game? You get your signed bat. You get to meet the player Harrison Bader who hit that home run, posed for photos and stuff like that. And then Marcus Lomotis, the South Florida native, who now owns Camping World and a bunch of other companies. You see him on Fox business with his new show. He boasted on X that he's going to send the family to the World Series. Wow. And give them an RV. Boy, they really made out in that deal. I wish a Karen would do something like that to me. They would go viral. She looked like a car. Here's the thing. If you're an adult. at one of these games, unless it's a baseball that's like... going to be worth a lot of money like a record breaking ball or something like that uh you have no business if you're an adult keeping a foul ball or a home give it to a kid who's there right like come on no adults and and when you're in that scrum for the it's survival of the fittest there's no entitlement you're not entitled to the baseball if you didn't come up with it then it's not yours that's how it works

9:32

Yep, you'd think that. But yeah, there goes. So I'm assuming Karen is getting her hair done, extensions die. Man. Off to lens crafters to change those distinctive glasses to change her look. But so far she has not been named. Boy, she's going to be, and it's going to be brutal once she's outed because she's got a very distinct look, too. People know who she is. She does. Yeah. All right. And AI has been, Gallum, and it's just been precious. Yeah, it's been great. All right. Rory O'Neill, our national correspondent with us this morning. Roy, thanks so much. Thanks, Ryan.
