208 segmentsPsalm 100 verses 4 and 5 say this. Enter his Bill Gates with Thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name, for the Lord is good and his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations. Yeah, that's a good way to start the day. That's Chris Tomlin and how good it is. I think he kind of picked up on that, how good it is, how good it is to sing praise. Chris does a really good job of singing scripture, of just taking God's word and putting it to music. Enter his Bill Gates with Thanksgiving as you even approach God. Be thankful. Grateful. That is a perspective that just has the ability to... Soak your entire day. I've said it so many times over the years that if you find a way to start your day with an attitude of thanks and gratefulness, it just permeates the rest of everything. It just does. All right. Let's take a peek inside the American Patriots homanek. It is Friday, busy day. Lots to talk about. Some things to hear. Lee Williams, the gun rider, will join us. You'll join us during What's the Beef. So stick around. It's Friday on the morning show with Preston Scott. He helped you make the argument, the communicator of common sense. It's the morning show with Preston Scott.
A three-year-old veteran dies after being shoved onto a New York City subway track. Sorry, I did mean to just kind of dive right in here, but John Fetterman's the only Democrat out there saying, why is it so hard for Democrats to understand? You know what this tells me? The fact that John Fetterman's asking that question tells me he's not in on those discussions. They're not letting him in. They're not. They don't trust him as one of theirs. He's too independent for them. Okay. We thought he was crazy. We thought he was nuts when he was getting elected. He's the only reasonable Democrat among the lot of them. He says, why is this controversial to deport illegal immigrants who are criminals? Why is this hard? John, I think you know the answer because your party's nuts and they hate this country. Anyway, sorry. Just angers me to no end. All right, March 27th, I got to remember. Thankfulness, gratefulness, thankfulness, gratefulness, thankfulness, thankfulness, gratefulness. Just like you are. I got to fight it. And maybe to a certain extent more. I love what I do. But what I do for a living does have requirements that put a burden on my ability to filter stuff like that and not let it seep into my soul. Because I have to consume so much. I read things that, you know, I said to somebody the other day that, you know, was works in law enforcement. I said, you know, we talked about, you know. appearing and being in court as a jurist and that I served on the grand jury. And I just said to them, you know, they're just things that I wish I'd never seen, though. I'm glad I served, but I spent six months on that grand jury, and I had to deal with capital cases where the defendant could face the death penalty. That's how severe those cases were in every one of them. And so we got to see evidence. And some of those cases involved children. And you just can't unsee stuff. And I don't get this. I just don't get this. There needs to be a.
kind of a secular wheat and chaff separation going on here we know that there's a separation of the wheat and the chaff from a scriptural perspective we understand that that day that's coming but we also know that there are versions of that that unfold throughout life and and that you know the wheat is what what's good and the chaff is what's not and You know, we've got people in America, Islam is celebrating when an American dies overseas. When a casket comes home, they're celebrating. Well, they should be deported from this country. And I know that's not popular. And I know it's probably not legal, but they should be. Anyway, sorry. All right, Spanish explorer Juan Ponce Delian cites Florida on this date in 1513. What's that? Captain, what's that? I believe that is Florida. 1794, the government authorizes the creation of a permanent U.S. Navy construction of six frigates, including the USS Constitution, which I have set foot on. It's still sales. It's still seaworthy. It's incredible. They say they don't make things the way they used to. There you go. There's an example of it right there. 1917 Seattle, Metropolitan's defeat the Montreal Canadiens become the first U.S. team to win the Stanley Cup. Oregon defeats Ohio State 4633 to win the first NCAA men's basketball tournament. 1939. And in 1964, the Good Friday earthquake. Strongest known earthquake in American history, 8.4 on the Richter scale, it hits Alaska, killing some 130 people. And then finally, National Scribble Day, that's what some might call my handwriting, National Spanish Pallela Day. Pallela. Paya. Paya. Paya. Okay. I don't know what it is. And it's National Joe Day. So there you go. 17 past the hour. Come back and catch us up on some Make a Difference projects. All right. They've raised the goal to $13,000 for Kim and Nicholas Allen, the wife and son of Billy. who died in a fire that took their home just a few couple weeks ago maybe it was and it happened on nicholas's birthday should have been just a great day into a day of just unbelievable tragedy And so they've raised the goal to 13,000 from 10. And again, I, man, you know, I don't know how you put a figure on it. But it's just something to help. Move on and restart. You know, she had just retired from FWC, Florida Fish and Wildlife. They've raised 9,600. So that's good.
They're just short of the original goal, but they've raised the goal just a little bit from 10,000 to 13. So barring, you know, something developing that I don't know about, this will be my last mention of that. And so you can find this on our X page. All right. As well, this is the final time I will be mentioning the TSA. drive. Now, the president is ordered paying TSA. The Democrats will try to thwart it. He said, just pay him through DHS. I don't know where any, I don't know. What I know is I can't stand the Democrat Party and I really struggle with people who are part of it. And if that's some of you, I struggle with you. I struggle with you. remaining part of an organization that hates this country and don't tell me they don't they do they just do I remember saying some time ago that well let me back up If you want to help TSA agents with grocery gift cards, gas gift cards, et cetera, even donations, go to our X page. You'll see it. There are locations throughout Tallahassee. And these kinds of things are happening across the country. I think it's totally unnecessary that we should be put in this position. But because so many of you are such good, kind, decent people, you help out regardless of what our government does. regardless how they squander our tax dollars, how they waste them, how they fraudulently allow them to be taken. We reach into our pockets and we say, okay, whatever. We're going to, we'll solve that later, maybe. We're going to help these people now. Just go to our X page. It's all there. All right. It's just all there. But I've said one time, and I got a really strong pushback from a friend. who said, we need to talk about that statement. I said Democrats are wrong about everything. They are. I would love to know any position that Democrats hold that distinguishes them, that Republicans do not hold on to, that conservatives don't hold, and understanding there's a difference between Republicans and conservatives. Because there are a lot of Republicans that are off the camp, too. But, but name me a position in their platform. That is, that is good and decent and right for America. Name me one. I, I can't, I can't come up with it. Oh, how good that it is to sing pray. I got to keep that song at my heart. I got to. Get all frosty here. Get, get, get, get, get, yeah. We've got news. Big stories in the press box are, um, are notable. So stay with us. Morning show with Preston Scott. What will you do without freedom? On News Radio 100.7, WFLA.
A couple of very interesting stories in the press box this morning. One. Secretary of War. And I'm now saying that just to irritate some people who think that it's not secretary. It's the Defense Secretary. It's Secretary of Defense. Well, I'm going to their website and it says Secretary of War. So, hey, you do you. But he announced that military chaplains have been ordered to wear an insignia on their uniforms that reflects their religious affiliation, ending the tradition of wearing one that displays rank. I love this. He said chaplains retain their ranks as military officers, but the change is designed to make it easier for service members to approach the religious leaders about sensitive topics. and emphasize the religious aspects of their jobs. A chaplain quoting is first and foremost a chaplain. And an officer second, this change is a visual representation of the fact and specifically unique to the role of chaplain. They are first and foremost called and ordained by God. This, though, is buried in the story. The Secretary said the Pentagon will use 31 faith codes for the insignia instead of the over 200 that currently exist. A significant majority of service members only use six of the codes. These are the first steps towards restoring the esteemed position of Chaplin as moral anchors of our fighting force. Theirs is a high and sacred calling. But they can only be successful if they're given the freedom to boldly guide and care for their flock. There's a lot there that I think is on the money. But here's what's interesting to me. Should Islamists be serving in our military? There's a video floating around where an Islamist member of the army, I think, I could be wrong, is asked if she would obey orders if it involved taking action against and killing Islamis. Jose, I know she was a large lady. But she indicated that she would not carry out such orders. That's a problem. That's a problem. So, you know, we'll see. We'll see how long this country dances around the issue before they have at least the meaningful discussion that has to take place. Now, speaking of dancing around issues, a little dancing. The music is stopped on one issue, at least as it relates to the International Olympic Committee. The IOC has said transgender men will not compete against women. Sorry, transgender women, men. Men will not be allowed to compete against women. I'm not going to play their game. The rule applies to the 28 games and moving forward. Men will not compete against women. This will be fascinating. Are they going to restore medals that have been taken? Are they going to, is this going to filter down and are we going to see all of these high school girls that have been robbed?
of scholarships and state records and championships. Are we going to ever see these young ladies get the awards they deserve? And as much as... I'm grateful. Why did it take so long? And where are the courts of America? I mean, the fact that we're relying on the courts and we're not just saying as a society, no, no, bleep, no, no. Here's how you could have avoided all of this. And I say you, broadly, generally, you, America, here's how you could have avoided all of this. Don't compete. When a transgender shows up to compete against girls or against women, you don't compete. This would have ended in a month. They'd have been running around the track by themselves. They would have been playing volleyball with no one else. They would have been, they would have been setting records against nobody. There wouldn't have been an event. They couldn't have set the record if we'd have just said as a society, no, we're not doing this. So now we're waiting on the courts to come around and deal with this. We're waiting for Congress to make this a law. And trust me, they're not going to get it right. The only way you get it right is DNA testing at birth, period and over, done. Male female. Thank you very much.
It is Friday. I'm grateful. I'm going to go mow my lawn today. I'm just, I got a, I got a, might chop down a tree somewhere. 41 minutes past the hour. Features to keep you entertained. Guests and experts so you stay informed. It's the morning show with Preston Scott. All right, 42 past the hour. All right, you need to, you need to listen. Don Lemon. On the streets of New York. Doing another gotcha interview. Did not go quite the way expected. He didn't profile properly. How do you feel about the war? I'm Persian, so I'm, I'm... I support Donald Trump 100%. The Islamic regime kills women. They killed 50,000 people in two days. A lot of them believe death in all of Americans. So I fully 100% support Donald Trump. So you said you're Persian, but there's no imminent threat to the United States that people here. Most people here are not. I'm biased, right? I'm obviously biased because I'm Persian. And I understand why people wouldn't want war to happen. I understand that. I don't know if you're biased. You just have your opinion. Yeah, exactly. My dad grew up in Iran. He had to feed the country when he was 14. Again, fully supported Donald Trump with the bombing of the Supreme Leader. But do you understand how this had nothing to do with us? We're not. Yeah, no, I understand. There's no imminent threat. First of all, he keeps repeating that nonsense. There's no imminent threat. Do you understand how much Americans feel? Dude. He's an American, number one. Number two, no, just some of you have your head in the sand. If he qualifies it, see, this is why Don Lemon will never, ever be a real journalist. He tries. He has to wear a hat that says lemon on it. He has a beanie, a winter hat that he's got on that says lemon. What, do you not know who you are? Do you need a reminder, Don? Lemon on the loose or whatever it is. I don't know what it says down. I can't read the fine print, but it's like, and he's got a microphone that says DL. Okay. I'm me. I understand. Again, I'm Persian. So when I see women who are being killed because they're not wearing the scarf over the head, I feel connection to that. I mean, that's not, that's not right. But I do, I do see where you're saying about, you know, America not having anything to do with Iran's problems, but stand with Trump. I understand. But. No, 100%. I don't think that's exactly how Don thought it was going to go. Not the B wrote this. Don, maybe try asking someone who doesn't have personal experience dealing with Iran the next time you want to film a gotcha moment that makes Trump look bad. This whole no imminent threat thing is exactly how.
If we remove the U.S., perhaps the U.S. involvement in 9-11 from a government perspective, the whole, well, we heard chatter, there was all kinds of chatter about there being something happening, but there was no imminent threat. That's how it happens. We've had an imminent threat from Iran that has been carried out time and time and time. I've got four pages of examples of imminent threat that was not just a threat. It was action taken against American interests. I've got four pages since 1979. We've been, they've declared war on us in 1979. Donald Trump said, Okay. He's first president with the courage to do it. 47 minutes after. Morning Joe with Preston Scott. They're going to get a. I'm just, we, we, knock, knock, who's there? On WFLA.
I probably shouldn't say this, but today might be one of those days if we don't get callers for what's the beef in the numbers required. I may take the time back and just rant. I'm just, yeah. Anyway. Thanks for joining us this morning. We do have What's the Beef in the Final Hour, best and worst of the week. Good news segment, headlines are going to be a dad joke. Between now and then, we've got the big stories. We'll reset those in about 40 minutes. Lee Williams, the gun writer. He's pointed something out that I think is very interesting and worth considering about Iran and guns. And so we'll talk to him about that as well as maybe get an update on the case of Tate Adamiak. In the wild or in our homes, we love them critters large and small. Time for another edition of Animal Stories on The Morning Show with Preston Scott. I don't know. Do we love snakes? I can't think of a reason to love a snake. Do you love snakes? I used to. Did you? Yeah, not anymore. Did you have one? No, I wanted one really bad. What did you want? A python, specifically. Really? Yeah. Not a fan of them anymore. I'm not scared. I just, not a fan. Yeah, if I see a snake, I'm grabbing a hoe. I'm grabbing a shovel. A pickax, actually, I wouldn't use. You know why? You have to get too close. Del Rio, Texas. Monday night, 1154. Officers are dispatched as a rattlesnake was found underneath the bed of somebody. They, of course, called animal services. They're like, I ain't touching that thing. But they had pictures of it. It was coiled up underneath the edge of the bed, and I'm thinking to myself, okay. Did someone have a late night? No, you can't do that inside. You can't shoot the thing. You're in a residential neighborhood. You can't dispatch a gun. What are you doing? Jose's over there doing the cop pose with the faux firearm in his hands. They have snake shots. They're like little pellet shotgun rounds for your pistol. They do not. Yeah. Yeah. Real thing. Oh, they're called a snake shot. Are you talking about that? It's not for any gun. It's just for like the judge, right? No, they come in different calibers. You get a 9mm, 45, 40 caliber. Get out of here. Yeah. You got to send me that. 10-4. All right. But just for a second, did someone just walk up, go to bed, and see it under their bed, or were they in bed and they heard something? And it's like, you put your feet down, and it could be like right there. Snake rattlesnake. They rattle when they're about to strike. And then an Ohio woman. Her dog, Saleo, a Shih Tzu, went missing in 2017. And not with a microchip, but was just recognized and found. Madded fur, some health issues, now 10 years old.
I'm thinking this dog had to be on the run the whole time. I don't think anyone took it or took it in. The dog went out to use the restroom. Well, to go to the bathroom outside. Use the restroom. What an idiot am I. Dog went to the bathroom and instead of just coming back in like he normally did, he's gone. Ten years later, they're reunited. Go figure. All right, we come back. Lee Williams, he is the gunwriter. If you want to get ahead of things we might talk about, just go to his substack. It's the gunwriter.substack.com. Lee Williams is the protector of the Second Amendment, at least in print, and he joins us next here on the morning show with Preston Scott. Second hour of the morning show. How are you doing? It is program 557 in case you missed it last week, celebrated our 24th anniversary, which means we are now in year 25 of this radio program. And they said it would never last. Great to be with you this morning. He is Jose. I am Preston. And this is the gun writer. He is Lee Williams. Good morning. Lee. How are you, sir? Good sir. Congratulations on 25 years, by the way. Yeah, well, you know, we're just starting now, year 25th anniversary will be a year from now, but I appreciate that. Thank you very much. As you well know, being a conservative voice anywhere today, whether it's in print or on podcast or on radio or television, is not an easy thing. No, the left is so, so organized against any conservative voice. And they raise their little finger, and there's a thousand letters or phone calls that usually are from people that have never listened to your show or read your stories. It's... It's fascinating to me to look at the arc of your career, Lee, because, and just let's just take a quick second to kind of reset for people that might have missed the first visit or two that you and I've had a few years ago. How did the gun rider come to be? Take us through your career that led us to where we are right now and what you're doing. I was working as an investigative reporter at the Herald Tribune in Sarasota, Gennett, now a Ginnett paper. And I've always been interested in guns because before I became a journalist, I was in law enforcement for 10 years before that. I was in the military. I grew up in Minnesota. I was always hunting and shooting. So I started writing a pro-gun blog for the newspaper. And then, of course, Ginnett bought us about six years ago. And I was the first one gone, and my editor soon followed that we were both ticked off on the same day. Thank God, Alan Gottlieb, who runs the Second Amendment Foundation, waited until the next day. I get a call from a friend who has another radio show, and he said, hey, Alan's going to call you. Don't hang up on him. And he called and said, hey, we'd like you to work for us and continue, but more of a national scope.
I started around February 2013, and I've been running ever since. It has been amazing to see the impact that your articles have. Thank you. Well, I would imagine that, you know, that you've seen some legislative wins as a result of your work. We have, and it's always... gratifying. I mean, here in Florida, nobody was ready for the open carry and the constitutional carry. I think that's fantastic. But, you know, we started here with Marion Hammer and concealed carry. So it's nice that we're finally catching up the rest of the country. You have written a couple of articles of late that kind of juxtapose where we are in America, though we're still fighting for... constitutional rights as it relates to the Second Amendment in particular. But you did a wonderful job explaining what's been happening in Iran. And if you don't mind, I'd like to take a moment to talk about the first article and then maybe do a little bit of a deeper dive into the historical context of what we have here versus Iran. But you pointed out that Iran has some of the strictest, most repressive gun control laws in the world, yet they were fine in firearms in the hands of citizens. Yeah, I mean, a gun in Iran, especially now, but, you know, before the current war took off. They weren't allowed to own them. I mean, you couldn't own pistols. You couldn't own shotguns. But now, you know, they've killed probably close to 40,000 Iranians been murdered by their current government because they had no right to defend themselves. They had no capability of defending themselves. It's just, it's absolutely crazy. I've studied Iran for quite a while once when I was in the military. It's just, it's so sad. I mean. Our Second Amendment protections have been in place around 238 years. But our politicians now don't care. The anti-gunner politicians, they just don't care. They treat it with blatant disrespect. I mean, look at some of these states out east. Look at Virginia what they're doing. Look at Minnesota. My home state. It's just, it's terrible. And this 230-year... protection of the Second Amendment, that's what's kept this country free, I believe. And I think any one of those 40,000 Iranians would have gladly given their life if they could arm themselves, but they can't. It's so telling. That's one of the tragedies of what's going on there, but we see it all the time, especially when these vacuums are created, sometimes with the best of intentions by the U.S. But we're going to keep talking about that for a few minutes. We're going to also kind of give you an update on what's going on with Patrick Tate Adamiak. Update you on that as well as a few other things here with Lee Williams, the Gunwriter. You can find his work. You can subscribe. You can support the work with a paid subscription if you like.
You just start with thegunwriter.substack.com. Morning Joe with Preston Scott. Go ahead. Make my day. On News Radio 100.7. WFLA. Joining us, Lee Williams, thegunwriter.substack.com is where you'll find his work. Subscribe. You can get the emails, the articles that come out, and again, support the work. We try to link up with people that are like-minded. Lee, you know, I had mentioned that with the best of intentions, sometimes not with a lot of wisdom, but we create these vacuums in places around the Middle East and perhaps even other places. And there's a common rule that our founders understood 250 years ago as they were crafting this country's constitution. And that is that... An unarmed citizenry is going to have a dictator over it in one form or fashion. And that's what we're seeing, what we've seen in Iran. The vacuum is always filled by the guys with guns. 100%. They're shooting people in Iran like it's cool to make a political point. And, you know, as an American, I know that everybody in their mind and everybody and their brothers just tore up about this. They're going around the streets and gunning down unarmed Iranians to make a political point. I've never seen anything like it. It's mind-blowing. Because these people don't have the ability to shoot back. Yeah, that's the thing. And now I have, look, I want to take advantage of your background in military and law enforcement. I don't see any way for this to have a resolution that is going to be lasting without some form, whether it's Americans, a coalition, Israelis, boots on the ground, creating space, and handing out weaponry. You know, they need the Kurds to come in. The Kurds are pretty well armed. But, yeah, I mean, your average Iranian going out and trying to take a gun from an Iranian security officer, he's going to get killed. Sure, there might be one or two that are successful, but one or two guys does not do anything in this war against the Iranian regime. So I think we need firearms. We need to train them. I don't think we need full-blown military units there yet. Who knows? I believe Trump, when he says that they are talking, they are talking about surrendering. It's just a matter of when and how. I hope that is the case. It would love to keep us in air war. We don't need more boots on the ground in the Middle East, especially in a country like Iran. Yeah, I 100% agree. I don't want it to happen, but I'm just trying to think logically. How do you get such a complete turnover where that military lays down its arms and they assemble a new military?
And you begin to give people a chance at having freedom in that country. Well, you're going to have to force the current regime to see how badly things are. But these are not reasonable people. They don't care that their friends and neighbors are getting killed by American bombs. They don't care at all. All they want to do is hang on to power. So, I mean, they'd sacrifice everybody in the country if it kept them in power. It's sad. These guys need to be taken out. And that, to me, is the lasting lesson for... America as we look at the UK. I look at the UK right now as they are on their way to becoming Iran. They've allowed Islamists to come into the country. They've disarmed their citizenry and they are ripe for takeover. 100% correct. I've never seen anything like it. I have relatives in Germany. They complain all the time about parts of their major cities where they can no longer go because it's not safe for Germans to go down into their major cities. England, I would write it off. I mean, it's gone. When we come back, Lee Williams will stay with us for one more segment. We're going to update you on Patrick Tate Adamiak. What's going on there? If you don't know the story, we'll give you a quick update on that as well. What kind of reset? More to come with Lee Williams, the gunwriter.substack.com. On your phone with the Iheart radio app and on hundreds of devices like Alexa, Google Home, Xbox, and Sonos. Hey, so here we go. An Iheart's radio station.
Back with Lee Williams, the gunwriter.substack.com is where you'll find his work. And the latest story, Lee, touches on somebody that has been a friend of this program and to a lot of gun owners, not just in Florida, but around the country, Marion Hammer. Yeah, I'd say she's been a friend to Florida gun owners, especially Florida gun owners. Well, she filed a lawsuit. She no lawyer works for NRA. She filed a lawsuit against them last year, alleging they misappropriated her name, image, and likeness, and took a check. But... NRA kicked out a kind of an email story yesterday. They accused her of using profanity and being somewhat combative during a hearing. Evidently, she told the NRA's attorney that he thinks he's got and that he might be, she believes he's a bad word. It's sad, really. They said she threw water from her glass at the NRA's attorney, which she denied to me. I called her up and she denied it. The NRA claimed she tried to knock over his coffee. She didn't recall that incident. They said they walked out of this hearing because of her misconduct. She told me she never threw water at anybody. She said, and I quote, they worked me to death and didn't pay me. They promised to pay me and didn't, so I'm suing for payment. I have two lawsuits, one in Florida and one in Virginia. They canceled my non-cancellable contract. I'm 87 years old. About the attorney who we're not going to name, she said he's an attorney who can't make a living, so he stayed with the NRA all these years. He hates me, and he pushed it. I'm not doing well physically, so they hope I will die soon and they won't have to pay me. It's just a no win for anybody involved, man. I mean, remember, she started Eddie Eagle nationwide gun safety program for young kids. And if you carry a gun in your pants, she's the reason why she started Florida's concealed carry licensing initiative. And she's just been a tremendous friend to gun owners, especially those of us here in Florida. Lee, let me just look at one specific part of this that you mentioned in the story. They want the court to dismiss the lawsuit because they thought she was mean. Yeah, that's a great way to put it. That is that I should have led with that in the story. I mean, I'm just like, really? She used bad words. She used bad words, man. Doesn't that in a way? And again, I don't know the specifics. I know Marion and I know she's combative and she's not going to take crap from anybody. I know that. And you do too.
But the fact of the matter is, doesn't this lend a little credibility to her claim that they're just trying to outlive her? Yeah, 100%. Let me say this. She sounded better when I've spoken to her in the past than she did yesterday. But the mind is still there, and there is no better Second Amendment-related mind than hers. Well, let me just ask you as a point of fact. Is the NRA hurting for cash? I mean, is there some reason why they might not honor an agreement? They're always hurting for cash. It's just a matter of when and how much, and they always, they've always claimed that they need more money. It's part of being the NRA, I guess. I don't know. I don't know how much she's asking for, quite frankly, but if they want this to go away, they should pay her and move on. My humble opinion. Yeah, if nothing else, call it a debt of gratitude and call it a day. All right, let's just quickly update everybody. Snapshot, who is Patrick Tate Adamiak, and what's going on? Well, Tate is a former Navy E6, and I got to tell you, he's been charged with... A whole bunch of felonies. He's serving a 20-year sentence in a federal prison in New Jersey. He's completely innocent. I spoke to, he was picked up by the ATF. They raided his home. They didn't find anything illegal. So they made everything illegal. This was under Biden and under Biden's ATF guy. They actually, they lied about everything that they found there. They said. A toy machine gun was a real machine gun. They said some automatic pistols were machine guns. I mean, I'm surprised they didn't call him a machine gun. So we're looking right now at trying to spur the ATF into taking a good look, a new look, a technical review of the evidence that was seized during their former ATF search warrant. I mean, take anything that they found there and prove to me that it's actually illegal. You can't do it because Tate wasn't stupid. He didn't have machine guns. He had a lot of parts and pieces. And I think they really need to look at their technical expert in this because I think he might have lied under oath about the evidence he just examined. I would also like them to send a letter to the DOJ regarding the prosecution, which outlines ATF's concerned. And I spoke to their head guy, Robert Cicada. He's the new head of ATF, although he hasn't had his comfort. He's had his confirmation. He hasn't been sworn in yet. He seems a hell of a lot better than anyone else that's run that organization under a Democrat. Is this case on his radar since you talk to him? Yes. Yes. All right. We'll have to wait and see. Lee, thanks, as always. We'll get an update. Hopefully we'll talk to you again next month. Thank you, sir. My pleasure. Take care. All right. Lee Williams, thegunwriter.substack.com. 27 past the hour. Still serving as the mayor of Realville and dispensing information at the speed of sound. It's the morning show with Preston Scott.
Got a note from Mark, kind. Love you, but this morning had to turn you off in the first hour. You just sounded mad and bitter. Angry would be a good word, yeah. Uh-huh. Yep. And I regret nothing of that I said. Not one word of it. I'm mad at where we are as a country. I'm very unhappy where we are. Anger is nothing to be afraid of unless you can't control it. Because scripture says in your anger, which implies you've got room to be angry, but it says do not sin. There's no sin there. I'm angry. I don't understand why we are where we are. And the big story in the press box isn't helping. We just got breaking news. The Senate unanimously passed. In the wee hours this morning, a deal to reopen most of DHS, Department of Homeland Security. Most. Reading the report, it was an agreement that largely gave Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats what they wanted. No funding for immigration and customs enforcement and parts of Customs and Border Patrol. But it lacked the stringent reforms they desired requiring judicial warrants or requiring agents to unmask. They got what they wanted. John Thune is out there spinning this is, oh, no, they came away with nothing. No, they got exactly what they wanted. They're not going to have funding. for the things that we want, which is the deportation of illegal immigrants, so they get back in line and do it the right way. They're going to keep their voters. I mean, Chuck Schumer won. Didn't win everything that he wanted to win, but Chuck Schumer knows you reach for the... 15th floor and you settle for the 10th. Because it's still 10 floors higher than where you are right now. See, that's the, and if there's anything I can do to help you to understand that that is how the political game for Democrats works. Push as extreme as possible just so long as the end result is that that movement is to the left. It might be 10 steps to the left and you settle for three. Well, the Democrats didn't get what they want. Oh, really? We're three steps closer to what they want. See, that's the pendulum that I talk about, that we just don't seem very good at swinging the other way. The compromise is always towards the left, not the right. The end result is always to the left, it seems. And we will be weaker as a nation because of it. Congratulations. The IOC is going to ban transgender women from competing against women, biological women in the Olympics. It's a start. It doesn't restore scholarships or awards that have been stolen and taken by men from women.
over the last however many years, doesn't do that. It doesn't suddenly make the NCAA and other governing bodies in America suddenly come to their senses, although they could take the cheap way out and go, well, you know, since the IOC has done this, we can't, in the NCAA, bestow a national championship to a transgender. That might represent us in the Olympic team because they can't compete. You see what I'm saying? It could have the trickle-down effect, which again reflects a lack of courage. And Pete Hegseth, Secretary of War. I'm just going to say that now just to annoy some people. Is simplifying things for chaplains? Most service members. use six different codes, meaning there are six primary faiths that men in the military, women in the military cling to. Currently, there's 200 that the Pentagon had recognized. They're limiting it to 31, but there are six that are primary. 200. Wouldn't you love to see that list?
Chaplain, what faith do you represent? Well, I represent the faith that when you die, your soul goes to a garage in Buffalo. To borrow from George Carlin. That's probably in there. 41 minutes past. Getting you ready for What's the B Friday, which comes up at the top of the hour. WFLA. Good morning and welcome. Good morning show with Preston Scott. Aren't we calm this morning? Hmm? Sure. Take a deep breath, friends. The, um... I just have to keep that worship song, that praise song we started the show in my head. We were just talking about the IOC. Now, seriously, did you ever expect that we would be debating this? Men prissing around with lipstick and dresses and wigs and falsies and claiming That they can give birth and that they can nurse and that they have menstrual cycles. I mean, in my mind, I hear the theme from Twilight Zone. Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, boom, picture, if you will. And Rod Serling standing in the corner laughing.
Pennsylvania legislature connects to that story. Okay. This is really good. House Speaker Joanna McClinton, who's from Southwest Philly. She's a Dem. Speaker of the House. A bunch of bills she once voted on. Just passed. Pass, pass, pass. And then comes a bill. House Resolution 390. to recognize March as Women's History Month in Pennsylvania. To celebrate the extraordinary accomplishments of women, which, quote, too often go unacknowledged. Okay. Fair enough. But then the brilliant happened. Representative Aaron Bernstein, Elwood City, Pennsylvania. He's recognized. for his amendment. Thank you, Madam Speaker. Madam Speaker, this amendment is very straightforward and clear. It defines what a woman actually is because we do know what that is. Thank you. The House Speaker immediately convenes leadership on the dais, and they're talking.
The resolution is removed. Laughter breaks out in the chamber. They pulled the resolution because they did not want to have audible debate to define what a woman is, what a woman is. That is such a beautiful, brilliant portrait of where the Democrats are. And I would bet 95% of them know exactly what the right answer is. They know. But they're being bullied by that 5%. That little, that fringe group. We'd like to resolve that we recognize women in the month of March. We'd like an amendment, Madam Speaker. We'd like to define what a woman is, please. The motion is resolved to be removed. We're removing it. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. They don't want to talk about that. He just can't make it up. We've got to get you ready for what's the beef. Comes up next. The beef preparation is next.
We've got calls coming in if you want to join in. We've got three lines open. 850-205 WFLA. It's what's to be Friday comes up in just a little bit. I was just posting the update that the Senate Republicans have once again lost. And this is because of bad leadership. I had, it's so perfect the timing. I had saved here. President Trump went on a little bit of a tie rate on Truth Social telling Senate Republicans to nuke the filibuster and pass the Save Act. Now, I don't think you have to do that. But if that's the only way to pass it, then do it. And I'll tell you why. Because the Democrats are going to do it. They will nuke it eventually. The fact that, well, that's just the way it's been is not going to, they're going to push their agenda through if they get back control. So if we don't at least have a fighting chance of having fair elections where only legal citizens vote, it doesn't matter. Nothing else matters. So if the conclusion is, and I don't necessarily agree that that's the conclusion, but if it is, The only way to pass the Save Act is with a simple majority. You got John Fetterman on your side. You can lose Lisa Murkowski if you have to, maybe one other. Then, by golly, nuke the filibuster and get it done. This is a woeful display of a lack of leadership by John Thune. But I warned you, I told you, He looks great on television, sounds controlled and composed, and he is. He is simply a better-looking, younger version of Mitch McConnell. He's not as compromised as Mitch is with Mitch's connections to the commies, the chikoms. Mitch is unbelievably compromised, and he still holds, he has the ear of John Thune. This is a dreadful end to this funding debacle with DHS and TSA. Terrible ending. Chuck Schumer's out there spinning it. And the media is going to give him all the help it can. He's out there spinning it to say, see, we could have done this weeks ago. This is exactly what we asked for then. Well, no, that's not true, but it doesn't matter that it's not true. It just doesn't. And this is why you have to have convicted, principled leadership. And again, we just, this is such a rinse and repeat for, for. Those of you that are Republicans, your leadership fails you. It's failing you in the state of Florida. It's failed you nationally. It's just, it's embarrassing. Save Act, I'm to the point where if that calculation that the only way to pass it is by nuke in the filibuster, nuke it. Because this is your only shot. You may never have a chance at having a majority in the House of the Senate again, ever.
Or the White House. Just think about that for a second. All right, what's to be Friday is next? What do you want to complain about? You've been listening to me, Mone, all morning long. 850-20-205 WFLA, 850-205-9352. We'll take your calls. We've got three lines open. They can be yours. Next. Based on EPA estimate of 24 large full-line automaker fleet-wide fuel economy, EPA Automotive Trends Report 2025. Here we go. Third hour of the morning show with Preston Scott. Final hour of the week. And we begin with your phone calls at 850-205 WFLA, 850-205-933-52. It's your chance to get it off your chest, whatever it may be. I've certainly gotten it off mine this morning, sort of. But now it's your chance. We've got two rules, no profanity, and don't make it personal. If you have a bad experience, tell us about it. Just leave the name of the business out of it. We go back to the phone lines, and Otis has been very patiently waiting. Good morning, Otis. Welcome to the program. What's the beef? Well, good morning, Preston. Beginning of the week, you had a caller call in. You had a story that you were running about. There's viral videos or going around about the folks that eat at these restaurants or at these hotels for free sneaking breakfasts out of there. And that call, that called then, openly admitting to his crime, even without really any real justification and rationalization to his stupidity. And I just thought it was a great example for me to be able to share that story with my kids because no matter what in life were examples, and he was a great example of what not to do. I just thought the part that made me sick was, he said he has a pension, Social Security, plus a job at a grocery store, and I just thought that was ridiculous that you're eating three sources of income, and yet you're still... stealing from a hotel chain. I just, I couldn't comprehend it. Yep. Otis, I'm glad it was useful. That is smart on your part, taking that and making it useful as an illustration. Well done, sir. You got it. I appreciate your show, man. Love listening. Thank you so much. I thank you for calling that. Freeze up the line. If you don't know about that, listen to Monday Show. Second hour. It was the end of the segment on phone calls, and it was breathtaking. Let's go to Bob. Good morning, Bob. How are you doing, Cowboy? Couldn't be better. Tell me what the beef is then. Judges and accountability. They need to be, especially these district judges, they need to be confined to their decisions to their district, not national implications.
Well, how is it? I mean, how is it, Bob? Didn't the Supreme Court already say that? Yeah, and who enforces any of this stuff? Yeah. They make all these rulings, and same thing with Congress, and then everything just keeps on spinning out of control. It's, we're in the country, the United States of America, is in dire straits right now, and hopefully the voting public will, will get involved and make things happen here in the next few months. And the other thing on the judges, though, if they release a criminal, especially a career criminal, and he commits another crime, the judge is held as an accessory for letting him out, especially after he's been given his sentence and they alter the sentence. We can't have common sense now, Bob. Yeah, well, that's why I drink vodka. Thanks for the phone call. I appreciate it. Let's go to Greg. Hi, Greg. Good morning. Welcome. This beef is dedicated to the first ever. Archbishop of Canterbury, who is a female. I'll take any reason to see post-cancer, Princess Kate. But my beef is my wife being overjoyed that episode one of the faithful about Abraham's wife, Sarah, exhalated, and abruptly ended. And now, since you are the arbiter of Watered Down Theology, thank you for nothing, James Talarico. Do I go ahead and restart episode one on Hulu, or do you concur with her and Jose that the series is a disaster of the biblical proportions? And I should stay with the Ten Commandments and Hatcher of the Christ. I can't weigh in because I've not watched any of the episodes, so I can't help you with that. If they're biblically accurate, I think it's worth a rerun. But if they're not, then take it for what it's worth. And maybe a favor was done to you by it ending the way that it did unceremoniously. We're going to go to Robert next. Then Tim. What about you? We got lines open. Two of them, 850. 205 WFLA. It's your chance to be on the air, complain about whatever you like, just keep it clean. Don't make it personal. It's what's to be Friday in the morning show with Preston Scott. Back to the phone lines.
Make note of it. 850-205 WFLA. Let's go to Robert. Good morning, Robert. Thanks for being patient. What's the beef? Good morning, Preston. I'm calling from Eastern Tennessee. How are you today? I'm terrific. Eastern Tennessee. Are you traveling from our area, or did you just stumble upon us? No. Actually, I have a home in Eastern Tennessee, and I also have a small, tiny home in Savannah. So I've been listening to your radio show, a long-time listener, but first-time caller. Well, thanks for calling in. And I work early in the morning, so you start my day. I agree with you totally. I wake up more angry than I do about what's going on with this country in the direction that it's going. Ironically, I was thinking about... establishing a men's Bible study, but I said, you know, I've got too much anger to do that. So I'm going to give you a heads up or give those listeners a head up in Tallahassee area. There is an organization called Act for America. And it's not my knowledge is that there is not a chapter in Tennessee. So I'm going to give everybody, if they want to start a chapter in Tennessee, the numbers 202, 204, 6999. And Preston, have you heard of Bridget Gabriel? Oh, yeah. Yeah, we've had her on the show. Oh, you have had her on the show. I have. How long ago has it been? It's been a few years, but I'm well acquainted with who she is. All right. It might be good to get her on the show. She's the founder, if you know, but... People, if we don't do something today in the next six months in Preston, I know you said it over the years, if we don't win the midterms, we can kiss our country goodbye. I hate to say it, but that's the truth. Thank you, Robert. I appreciate the call and enjoy your time up there, but don't give up on the idea of the Bible study. Don't ever give up on the idea of doing a Bible study. Let's go to Tim. Hi, Tim, you're up. What's the beef? Good morning. My beef is with the park and road construction at the Market District here in Tallahassee. They tore up this road. I won't name the gym, even though I love the place. And there's a restaurant on the other side that I don't know how they're staying in business, but they tore the road up. It's been two months ago, and there's an excavator that's been sitting in that construction site for at least four weeks has never moved. They're not doing a thing. In this poor restaurant, customers came. I don't know how they get there. How they're even staying in business. And why they let them just do that is beyond me. It is one of the poorest executions of a plan I've ever witnessed in my life. I agree. It's just. You know, the contractor should be paying a penalty or something to drag this out as long as they're doing. It makes no sense to me. Thank you, Tim. Appreciate the call. Let's go to Nancy. Hi, Nancy. You're up. What's the beef? Hi. One beef and a question. My beef is that the Congress.
and the government should all not be paid while they're closing the government. 100%. I don't know. Yes. And my question is, what happened to God country family? Now it's all me, me, me. I completely agree with you. Thanks very much for the phone call. We've got time for a few more callers. Mike, Michael, you are next in that order, Mike, and then Michael. And we've got room for, well, one line's taken. Now we've got one line open. It's 850-205 WFLA 85020252. What's the Beef Friday an exclusive presentation here at the morning show with Preston Scott? More of your calls next. All right, home stretch of phone calls here. This is audio therapy. You just kind of live through the complaints of others, and you'll feel better. You'll find yourself either going, they're nuts, or, oh, man, I feel it. I know, I feel your pain. And yet you'll just kind of feel better through their complaints. Mike, you're up. What's the beef? Good morning, Preston. I have a beef. with Star Metro. At the corner of Meridian Road and Orange Avenue, there's been a bus stop that has been an open-air drug market for 40 years. About a year and a half, two years ago, the city decided to spend half a million dollars to beautify the bus stop by planting a bunch of palm trees and stuff like that. About a year later, the city decided to build their new Star Metro Center there, so they yanked up half a million dollars worth of palm trees they put in the ground. They brought steel out of the ground about a year ago, and now they've just stopped working on it. I drive by it every day, and nobody is ever there working on the Star Metro Center. It's just eye beams sticking up out of the ground with construction fencing around it. Is it still a drug hub? Oh, yeah. They just moved to the other side of the street where Litter Western Elementary Book used to be. See, wouldn't it be awesome if they were like putting palm trees in that have like cameras and microphones and stuff buried in them? That would be worth it. Exactly. I am not exaggerating. I went to Rickards in 1979 and everybody knew if you wanted some Reefers, that was the corner you had to go to. The more things change, the more they stay the same, though, right? That's right. Thank you, Mike. I appreciate the call. I guarantee you there's some folks listening downtown. Let's go from Mike to Michael. Michael, you're up. What's the beef? Good morning, press. My beef is the Republicans that are gildings. They are terrible at messaging.
I mean, I would, every day, they need to be on the TV, on the news, whoever listens, say, yeah, you don't like these long TSA lines, you need to thank the Democrats. And, oh, by the way, these sleeper cells in the United States, you need to thank the Democrats. And if there's ever a terrorist attack inside the United States, say, this is because the Democrats. You need to keep putting it out there, and you're not going to change the demon rats. They'll vote to jump off a cliff with each other. You need to hit the, you know, the people in the middle. It's not very many of them, but it's enough to swing on an election. Yes, sir, it is. I just can't stand the Democrats. I mean, excuse me, the Republicans, they're so weak and noodle and just, you know, wussies. Nope, no, but, yep, I'm 100% with you on that one, Michael. I've been saying that a lot. 100%. Yeah, I agree with you completely. I have long complained about the lack of messaging prowess on the right side of the aisle. Two more callers. Let's go to Deborah. Deborah, good morning. Welcome. What's the beef? Hello. Good morning, Preston. How are you? I feel like something's about to blow up. Can you hear me? I can, but you need to turn the radio down and then there's something ticking. Like I feel like you're in the midst of a bomb. There we go. It was actually my book. Okay. I got you. I got you. All right. What's the beef? Not a big beef, but it's reduced bradsden. I need you to do something. When you're, at the end of the show, you give a recap, and you always talk about, we started out with the verses, so-and-so, so-and-so, Romans, whatever. You never read the verse again. I need the verse. I'm not always up there at 8 o'clock and listening to the first verse. Well, first of all that... Give your verse again at the end of your show. Okay. I appreciate it. Just here's the thing. I don't have time to redo the devotional. That's why I just... I give the verse. And the idea is to encourage you to go read the verse. But if it's appropriate in terms of time... I'll try to do that, but I know by the way, it's 6 o'clock, not 8 o'clock when we do the opening of the show. I thought I heard you say that. Final caller here, but thanks for the call, and I appreciate your interest in God's Word. That means a lot to me. Ray, you're our final caller. What's the beef? My beef is with your segment on Monday. I have been thinking about a big fat breakfast buffet all week long. Literally breakfast has been on my mind, like, you know, and one with the sausage gravy and the biscuits and the omelette station. Yeah. I can't find one anymore. I just can't find it. I mean, whatever happened to Shoney's breakfast buffet. I mean, it's a buffet desert for breakfast in this town. Does Golden Corral do a breakfast? Oh, I didn't think of them. I don't know if they do. They might just do lunch and dinner. I don't know. I'm just saying.
You know, and here's another option. Call some of the hotels and ask if they do a breakfast buffet for pay, where you can come in and pay for a breakfast buffet. I'd even pay for a homeboy that called in, too, just because that's what we should do. Thank you, Ray. I appreciate the call. Yeah, that Monday segment on Breakfast Bandits. Boy, did that stimulate some emails. I've been stopped by people asking about it. Yeah, it was, it was glorious. Who knows? There might be a segment of that in our best of shows for the month of March. When we do the 12 days of Preston. All right, 27 passed. When we come back, our best and worst of the last week or so. And some good news, a dad joke and headlines from the beat. All that and more still to come on a... packed edition of the morning show with Preston Scott. Validating your feelings or perhaps helping you come to terms with the fact that you have been wrong for so much of your life. It's the morning show with Preston Scott.
Time for our best and worst of the last week or so. Jose, you're up. All right, so the best for me. This week is a Brazilian-made 4-inch barrel, stainless steel frame chambered in a 38 special. It's modeled after the, I believe, the Diamondback, the Colt Diamondback. So what, you bought this? No, I traded another gun for it. Oh, you pulled a trade off. Yeah, I pulled a trade off. It is my dream guns. I was like, well, take this one, and I'll take that one. But my worst for the week is that video I sent you the other day with that young man on the bus beating up that blind lady. Oh, that, that. That boiled my blood more than anything could. And I wanted to just grab them through the screen. And the fact that he spent all this time being such a tough guy with the police and act. He certainly has some anger management issues. Yeah. Maybe, brother, you got 40 priors. Maybe it's time to get some help. Right. Absolutely. He'll get now help for 10 years in prison. But yeah, okay. Well, let me go the other way around. I'll start with my worst and go to my best. I thought it was going to be talking about drivers because some of you people are absolutely nuts. Now, I know most of you are incredible drivers because the type of people that listen to a show like mine are. I know I'm a very good driver. I know that. I'm courteous. I respect other people on the road, but boy, anyway. But no, no. That got pushed to the sideline by this. This is my worst of the week. The Oklahoma State House passed a bipartisan bill. HB. 3660. That includes natural organic reduction.
It is a fertilizer bill. And they're going to use humans. Human compost. Yep. Legalizing the use composted human bodies as fertilizer. What? I'm not making it up. What? Human. remains as fertilizer. Hey, look, I know the scripture. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. I get that. There just seems to be something a little... Well, what is it? Todd Rundgren said at the beginning of one of his songs years ago. Could we have maybe just a little bit of humanity? I just, oh, when the lead research assistant of the program sent this to me, Oklahoma advances bill to turn dead humans into actual fertilizer. I just stopped in my tracks. My best of the week? I got an invitation to my son's wedding.
And I am listed as the officiant, not just the father of the groom, but I will be officiating the ceremony for my son and his soon-to-be bride, my soon daughter-in-law, and I could not be more excited. Can't wait. Cannot wait. Best of the week by a mile. Look, I knew I was going to get invited, but when you see it, when you see the view, it's going to happen. Very excited. Very, very excited about that. And so we are not losing a son. We are gaining a daughter. And could not be happier. They will be residing here in Florida's capital city. She's going to come and live at his domicile. Good stuff. Very good stuff. All right, it is time to get a little check of weather and traffic. Come back with some more good news, only broadly speaking good news. You're on the morning show with Preston Scott.
Fun stuff. Before we get to a dad joke and some headlines from the Bee, the Babylon Bee. Good news segment. Now, let me help those of you that are not baseball fans because yesterday, of course, the full Major League season got underway. I think the first game was Wednesday. I did it again. I forgot to wear my Harmon-Killabrew jersey. I've got my classic Minnesota Twins, Harmon Killebrew number three, Jersey. And I didn't wear it. And I feel like I let Harmon's memory down. I am a twins fan, always will be, even though they're terrible. They were good for a while, but I wish they'd have stayed with Rocco Baldelli as their manager, but we'll see. We'll see. Hope Springs Eternal. Baseball season is here. But for those of you that are not aware of how it works, when a pitcher's on the mound, the manager or the manager is the head coach, they call them a manager. And then there are assistant coaches. And when a pitching coach or the manager comes out, they usually get a couple visits and then they got to pull a guy out. If they're, you know, if they go out to the mound, they're usually trying to calm them down or there's a situation going out on the field and they want to bring the infield in, talk to the pitcher, the catcher, and they want to make sure everybody's on the same page on if it's a bunch situation, if there's a potential stolen base, what kind of play they're going to run to try to defend it. Well, in this case, on the hill. was Carter Baumler and pitches for the Texas Rangers came into the game. It was an exhibition game and maybe the final exhibition game of the year against the Kansas City Royals. He came in for in relief of McKenzie Gore in the fifth inning. Bomler's pitching struck out one batter didn't allow a run. But you have to face at least three batters. You can't just, uh-oh, and then switch them out after one pitch or one batterer. Unless there's an injury, you've got to let him throw to at least three batters. So he hadn't faced the minimum of three batters and the manager's walking out. There's nobody on base. And it's like, uh-oh. So Skip Shoemaker comes out. He's the manager of the Texas Rangers. And, um,
And everyone's like, okay, what's this about? And Bomler himself is like, did I do something wrong? I mean, I can't be pulled yet. There's nobody on base. What's up? And it was really cool because the manager walked out, brought in the infield to let him know, young man, you made the big league roster. You're going to stay in the majors. The Andy Biggs, the senior circuit. Well, in this case, the junior circuit. The National League, I think, is the senior circuit. The American, I think is the junior. Anyway, it doesn't matter. You're in the show. And so that's what it was about. He just came to the mound, the manager, to let him know he made the roster. And to see the reaction of his teammates patting him on the back and just, you know, it's like maybe you've seen those videos of when they give the walk-on football player who's been walking on for three years, the scholarship for his fourth year and they let him know in practice with all the players and everyone goes nuts because they've seen that guy work so hard.
