The best of the Dave and Molly show is brought to you by Jewelry Design Center. We want to be your jeweler for life. Live from the Numerica Studio and brought to you by Northern Quest Resort and Casino. It's the Dave and Molly Show. Yep, we got a whole new look. If you're just listening to us on the app, you're going to hear everything the same. But if you're seeing us on YouTube, we're coming up on our one week anniversary. Right. And we have a new setup in here. Yeah. And I'm looking, I'm looking here and looking there. Seeing what it all looks like. It's very exciting. It's very different. And like you can see the David Jolly sign. Yeah. You can see an American. And we can see each other. And what's my relationship to Bob? He's your uncle? Very good. Excellent. Okay. Now, now we're all good. Everything is good. And look at this, everybody. Quinn is back. Quinn's back. Look at him. I don't know if you can see them or not. Can you see you see you over there? I bought myself up into the little corner, so I'm sitting up in the corner of the screen right now. Oh, that's awesome. Just a little head. Just a little head. A little head shot. Good morning. Good to be back, guys. It's great to have you here. Oh, my goodness. You have no idea how great it is. We love you. I love you. Everybody loves you. I'm excited to see you and listen to the viewers again. Yes. Great. We're getting used to our new setup, but it's going to be fine. Yes. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. We're learning and growing. And when we were co-anchoring the news, and here's a good co-anchor for you. Clychalk noticed that we were coming in late and hot. Yep. And she, like a mom to two children who don't know how to behave, she had our mics ready for us. And she was calmly sitting on the set waiting for us to co-anchor. That's very nice teamwork, right? Well, we got the call that, you know, someone came in and said, you guys are on in one minute. I know. And... And then you were taken off your coat? I was. I know. My purse and everything is laying in the door. But I was here. I was ready. Oh, I know. You were ready. Because you're a professional. And I'm still learning how to be a professional. How was the day? Oh, my gosh. Well, it was a full day yesterday. Yeah. And I'm a little sore, and I'll get to that here in just a bit. But I finished up here. And then my plan was to just head out to the casino just for a little bit. Yeah. I had some tickets to cash and had my, what will we say, my jeans full of jack.

2:45

A lot of money. Oh. So I thought, well, I'm going to play for a little bit. That was a bad idea. Terrible bad idea. And then, you know, when you dig a hole, but you believe that you're going to make an amazing comeback. Oh, we always believe. We always believe. And then... As you keep digging, you find that you're digging yourself a deeper hole. And you feel like a minor. Yes. And all of a sudden, you're just. With no headlamp. The pick and the pick and the darkness. It was very dark down there. All alone. You got the pans. Nothing's happening. So anyway, it ended up being out there way longer than I thought. And I didn't even cash my tickets. What? So I still have the tickets, my winning tickets from the weekend. Well, that's good at least. Yeah. So. And then I headed home for a bit, did a few house things, and then rallied to the valley. Oh, yes. So, wait, a Monday rally? A Monday rally? What? Because there won't be a Tuesday rally because we have our event tonight. Sure, of course. And if you remember last week when I went out there, that Nadine said, well, are you going to do work on your hands dance? And I said, well, no, but I promise I will next week. Well, then I forgot that next week was the night that we had our Northern Quest event. Yeah. So I think she thought that I was trying to pull a fast one. Squirm out of it? Yeah, squirm out of it. So anyway, I ended up going out there and she says, I'll have wine out here and just, you know, come on out. Wine and handstands. What could go wrong with that? Well, the handstands went before the wine, which was good. But I realized that I am. way out of shape for the hand stamps. Like, even, I'm way out of shape, period. But at least when I was doing them more frequently, it was like, okay, I got this and I'm, you know, respectable. Yeah. Well, yesterday was a, was a disaster. Oh, no. I was like, my idea. Explain what a disaster looks like because I'm picturing you've got. I think you've got padding, and then are you going up against a wall for now? No, no. You're just mid. Walls are for rookies, malls. Don't use the wall. So you're now in the middle, but you're padding. So if you fall over, it's all padded. There's no, like, hard floor. Well, I would say that it's hard to manage a handstand on a padded. If it's too padded, that's hard, right? You want some padding because you need the... So when you say a disaster, what does that look like? Well, it just, there's no video, thank God, of the spectacle that was my attempt last night or attempts multiple times. Oh, boy. But I just was, the first one, it was like, oh, geez, what did I do to my shoulder? And then the second one, oh, boy, what do I do to my wrist? You know, just bad, just I'm out of sync. So. It's a lot to ask, though, I think, at our ages. And this body. Well, let's be honest. You wanted to say it. No. I learned from my cartwheel. It was a lot to ask of my wrists to support at this age, at this juncture. Good analogy. Okay. So that's what I'm saying. We're asking an awful lot of this little, I mean, really, relatively small bones for.

6:02

We're asking a lot of them. As kids, you're sort of flipping and flopping and, you know, it's nothing. So. But so you're a little sword today. Yeah. And it didn't go well. And so anyway, but that, you know, I got to restart. Kind of like we're restarting here in the studio. And, you know, that's how I feel about golf. Every single part of my body hurt yesterday, including my right inner thigh, which I had a golf pro tell me one time, if your right inner thigh hurts after hitting balls. You are doing something wrong. They said, why would that hurt? And I said, I don't know, but it always hurts. And they said, but that's not good. Like, you're doing something terribly wrong. So I get you. And that's my body's starting to start up again. But you ease into it. You got to ease into it. Ease into it. So. Yeah. Well, you went, though. You did it. I did. You were out there. Yeah, it was good. And it was great to be out there. And then I did have some wine after. Yes. And I really didn't have a whole lot to eat yesterday. Uh-oh. So, you know, the glass of wine was like, oh, oh, this is what. Hello. Hello, pretty wine. Oh, and one other thing I did. Yes. Before I rallied to the Valley, I went to the store, had to pick up a few things. And the Girl Scout cookies were there. Oh. So I had to say yes to that. Always. So I brought in a couple. I brought thin mince and the lemon somethings. Ooh. Okay. We'll dig into those. We have to bust into those at some point. It's a celebration of Quinn's return. It's like a happy return cookie day. I like that. Quinn likes cookies. I do love cookies. I actually just got myself some of my Girl Scout cookies when I was at the grocery store two days ago. So, yep, they're out and about, and I got my thin mince. They raised their prices. What? Did they? $5? $6 now. Oh, yeah, it's six bucks. See, it's funny. It used me $4. Maybe I don't know what I was looking at or thinking about, but when I got it, I got three of them for 18 bucks. And I was like, man, this is a steel. I could have sworn these costs more than that. No. I thought I was getting a good deal. There was a time when everything was $5. And then I think there were a few that moved to $6. Well, now I think everything is $6. Everything is $6. Yeah. Because it was $12 for those two. My goodness. But I think they're still worth it. I mean, they're pretty. Oh, yeah. Oh, I'm, you know, goes to a good cause and all that, but I'm just saying the prices is, you know, going up. Where does it end? Well, those little girls got to pay for gas too, Molly. Yeah, Molly. Yeah, Moll. Well.

8:40

So how are you feeling today, though? Feel okay? Well, I'm a little, a little sore. And I'm very tired when the alarm went off. Yeah. I'm not a hit the snooze kind of person, but I hit the snooze. And then it was like, I got to get moving. And then I got here and then kind of adjusted a few things because we have a new setup. Yeah, we have a new setup. It's interesting. And earlier, I'm looking over at the, I'm just, this is behind the scenes. I came in hot, my jacket, my keys, my everything is there. But then there's a bottle of water that Dave threw across the room in it, fit of rage. And humor. It was, yeah, it was, yeah, it was to generate a laugh. Yeah. And it did. But I'm just looking if you see, and then there's cookies, there's stuff. It's like, it looks like craziness. But no one gets to see that. No, they only see this. We're still working on this. We still don't know what we're going to do with our guests when they come in because Kalaya is going to come in. So we're figuring that out. It's going to be great, though. Oh, everything is going to be great. Yes. And I know that you were out, although I think we were at the same spot, but you failed to acknowledge my existence. No, I didn't. What I saw was I sent you a text telling you something and you is hearted it. But what I didn't know is that you'd sent a text also. Oh. So I didn't see that text until I was home. Oh. I never said. And I assumed you were already long gone. I didn't get out there until. I don't know, 340, 345, something like that. So I didn't even expect. Did you see me wandering around? No. Oh, I was on one side and I just, I don't know. It never, it never really got going, but I did get free food to bring home. So that was good. Oh. That's always, that's always good. Yeah, I left here and I went home and I walked the dog and it was deceivingly cold because. I had a sweatshirt on and I had big sweatpants on, but I had a short-sleeved shirt, and it was coming through, and it was beautiful out, and my face was getting a lot of sun, but I was cold almost the entire walk. Driving home, the sun was, it was blue skies. It was beautiful. It looked really pretty, but I think it was like 44 degrees. Yes. I also was able to finish day one of my chair yoga. Thank you very much. So, which did involve some of, but not all, the cactus. Careful, you might pull a muscle. And the sitting march. And I did that. And it had the pendulum swing, and I did that. And I did it in under 10 minutes. It said 10 minutes. Wow. What did you do the other nine and a half? Man. But I had to look up the sphinx pose and all of those things. I think you're supposed to later on.

11:45

Do more reps and stuff. Well, I would hope. But so, but I had already had a 40-minute walk plus that. So I got my exercise in. I ate a little something. And then I had to go down to the Rocket Bakery and have a meeting. Did that. Well, that lined you right up. I mean, you're at the Rocket Bakery. You're almost at the casino already. So you might as well get on the highway and just go. A couple walk there from there. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But so I did go. I played for a couple hours. Got some food. But I was sitting there waiting for the to go food. And there was a gal. She came up. She goes, shut up. I can't believe it's. Oh, you're not, Jessica. I'm sorry. And I said, oh, no. So she starts talking to me. She goes, oh, I thought, you know, Jessica got her hair cut. So whoever Jessica was, I wasn't. And then she launches into this thing about, yeah, I want to cut my hair, but I don't know if I should. And I said, well, you know, she was looking at my hair. She goes, I mean, that awkward frame, like this is like the most awkward length. This, right? And I was like that. Well, that is my length. That is. She, yeah, like, you don't even know what to do with it. Like, you can't, it's like, doesn't look it down, but you can't put it up. And I thought, but you are, this is my length. Like, I'm stuck with this length. And I don't know who Jessica is, but, but she was very funny. She was, I think she was having a few peers. She was chatting and she was just like, so I thought, okay, now we'll put that to rest. So I take the food home. We eat it. We watch. Field of Dreams. I haven't seen Field of Dreams in years. Oh my God. It makes people cry at the end. Yes. But there's a couple of different moments with Archie, you know, the doctor when he comes out of the field when the little girl's choking. That moment. And there's just some moments in that that we were, you know, at one point I looked back at Ken, I said, are you going to make it? Are he's going to be okay? Because he was really like, it was hitting him hard. But so that was our watching last night. It was really good. But I also received something in the mail for our studio. And I want you to picture a mini fridge in your head. Mini fridge. Okay. You're thinking a mini fridge. Mini, right? No, so like, like. Mini. Now I'm going to show you the mini fridge. And I don't want you to laugh at the size of the mini fridge because I never laugh at size. Oh. Oh. This. They're laughing at the many fridge, you guys. So the cords are all in here. I'm going to plug it in. But now I knew it was going to be small. But I didn't know it was going to be that small. What do you put in there? Well, that's the thing. I can put one of my little... I was going to share and let everybody use it. But I don't... It's meant for a six-pack, I guess.

14:31

And a six-pack will fit in there? That's what they said. There's a, there's a shelf that goes here, but I took it out because now I can put one of my container. Oh, you got way more room without the shelf. So I'm going to get, I'm going to show you what I can put in there. But here's, so everybody. When you go on to Amazon and it's only $37, that's because that's the size of it. So there's that. But wait. Oh, those more. Well, she did bring some show and tell stuff today. I think I think I can fit this container in here. I'm going to be very upset if I can't. But it has to stand. And then that's all we get. And Bob's your uncle. So I was going to share with you. But now... Ooh, it looks like it has a cooling and a warming thing. I don't know if that's going to be good. Well, don't get those mixed up. Anyway, so this is my show and tell for the day. It's a lot smaller. Well, that's very nice, though. I mean, it's something. Yeah, I mean, I think you could put, we, I think, I think what I need to do is use my square hall containers rather than my, you know, right? Hmm. So. And have you tried it? Does it actually cool? Like have you plugged it in? I have it. But here's the other thing that's so good. I'm going to become. This is good, too, because we are very low on cords here in the studio. So it's good that you have brought in some more chords because I think that's, we never want to have a shortage of cords. Here's the thing. You can plug it into your car. So now what they're saying is bring your six pack with you in the car. No problem. So I will plug it in and we'll see how it works. I think it's going to be great. Yeah. That's better than what we had. Jacqueline is pointing out that it's an ozempic refrigerator. It is one of those that you can keep meds in. It says there. Like if you need to keep insulin or something like that and you're at work, I mean, imagine this is the perfect situation. So I don't know. And you could put vegetables or something. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But anyway, so now we have this for our studios. Well, I think that's an upgrade. You're laughing at me. You can fit two of the mini cans of Diet Coke in there comfortably, I would say. Comfortably. Well, anyway. And if you ever just want to take it home, like if you travel, you can just put it in your pocket. Right. And then you just take it right. Put in your coat pocket, you can probably get at home safe and sound. We'll plug it in and we'll see how it works. But for now, it's going to keep my one item nice and cool. And if you ever have anything like this big.

17:19

that you need to keep cool for the day. You come to my, bring it to me. I got you. I got you covered. I just think that sometimes on Amazon, I know it says the dimensions, but I'm a girl. I don't look at that and go, oh, well, if you're saying this by this, I can picture it my head. I'm just thinking that looks like a nice picture. So. That's how they get you, Jerry. Yeah. But I think this still, this will be useful. I think so. Thank you for your purchase. Well, you're welcome. Now you want to do cherry yoga with me? Do what? Cherry yoga? I don't know. Cherry yoga. It is. And it even, here's when I realized, and I've done this before. Oh, oh, wow. Do you remember a curve fitness? I know the listeners and the viewers will remember curve fitness. What it was was, it was only for people, you just go and do a circuit. And that's all it was. And it had a little step thing in between each machine. But it was designed for people who hadn't exercised in decades. Okay. Now, I was already exercising a lot. But I didn't feel like putting a lot of effort in. So I joined this curve thing thinking, well, I'm going to curve. And I realized that it wasn't even close to what I should have been doing for my, I was in my 30s, I think, or early 40s. So I should have been doing like full-blown exercises. But this is what the chair thing is. When I read it, obviously it's for seniors, not for somebody who has been working out. It's for somebody who wants to pretend they're doing something and really not putting a lot of effort. Well, much like the first day of here we're building. Right. You're building, you start with the chair, you're restarting. Yes, I know. It's just, I don't know. I probably should be making more effort. I put it in. That's all. Yeah. My fridge. Got a fridge. I can't, I can't seem to plug it in. These damn cords. I don't even know. There you go. Oh, yeah. Got it plugged in now. Oh, yeah. We're going to hear the hum soon. It's going to be great. I'll just put it down here for now because it has a nice handy handle. And the problem is it's diesel powered. And you know what? Diesel is the expenses of that these days. Plus the smoke that we'll have in here. But other than that, it'll be great. We can clear it through the department. So. Yeah, so anyway, it was a good day. I got a good night's sleep. I felt good. Oh, good. That's a pro move because I think today is going to be a very long day. It's a long day. There's a lot of stuff stacked up. And then we end the night out at Northern Quest for the big car giveaway. Yes. It does start a little earlier than we have been.

20:05

Like the grand prize drawing starts at 9 instead of 930. We were talking about that because that makes a big difference. So everybody's going to show up. Somebody's going to win a BMW or they're going to win $65,000. And as much as I've been playing, I think I told you this off the air. I think I might get called. You might. I might call my own name again. And if you do. You guys are ready to step in and cover. Yeah. Yeah, it was very exciting last time. I could get called, too, although I haven't been entering. Have you been entering when you go? Here's what I've been doing. I have not been, I've been entering everything except for the million dollar deal because I don't think that that's. Yeah. I don't think that would be good if one of us won the million dollars. It wouldn't look good, no. It would not look good at all. So when you swipe, you've been entering that. We've been entering the, yeah, the buzzer beamer thing. And then my understanding is even if you don't, as you're playing, you're, yes. Generating points. Well, I might get called too. Yeah. What if Ken Hopkins got called from his one bet he's placed in his entire life? And they're like, Kendall Hopkins? What would he do? He just... He could. I don't know. Everybody's eligible. He'd say, I don't know. Anyone with a canvas card, eligible. That'll be fun tonight. Yeah. And we'll wrap up the... Wrap up the month with a big car giveaway at Northern Quest. We start at, well, we'll start drawing at six. I know they have specials. They always have specials. That's good. They usually get us some kudoba or pizza. Or pizza. Yeah. Or both. Or both. But yeah, we start drawing at six and then by 10 o'clock, I'm going to say by 10 o'clock, somebody will have $65,000 in their hand for a beat. Yeah. That's crazy. Pretty cool. Yes, it is. So that would be fun. Yep. All right. Yeah. So that was the day. And that, I'm going to just say, again, Field of Dreams is a wonderful movie. That's a great movie. I had not seen it in so long, but there were certain lines I remembered exactly. And remember that was the movie? I think I told you, Stacy and I were running around Universal Studios and they asked us to come in and watch a movie. They gave us like $3 or something. And we watched that movie, but it was called Shoeless Joe. And then months later, it comes back out called Field of Dreams. And we said that we've seen this movie. They changed it a little bit. Because it probably didn't test well. Well, the name didn't test well. Yeah. So we were part of history. That's how you can tell things they're working. Like sometimes when they'll say, hey, we'll put a couple of Yeos on TV for a couple of days a week. Right. Let's just limit it that. Then all of a sudden they do some tests. Hey, pretty good. Get them on all the time. They like the Yeoos. Let's put four hours of television. And, you know, five days a week.

23:06

A lot of testing, a lot of testing. The numbers don't lie, malls. No, they don't. No, they don't. It's called Q. They have good Q, TVQ. Trust the science. Yes, I'm trusting the science. Wonderful. We have a couple of news items to get to. One of them we talked about with Kallai on the air today. The Midwest Goodbye. I think it was right around St. Patrick's Day a couple weeks ago we were talking about the Irish goodbye. Right. And that's where you're at a party and then you just leave. Right. You ghosting them. Well, the Midwest goodbye is almost the opposite. Right. We'll explain what that is. And then I think you'll want to know this, the safest seat on an airplane. Ooh. Do you know what it is? Do you probably know? I think I do, but I could be wrong. Okay. I mean, I know is it over the wing. No. Is it? Oh, no. Oh, no. I'll give you the big reveal. Yeah, we've got to keep them. Okay. I guess it depends on how you crash. If you crash tail first, then the back wouldn't be good. If you crash nose first, then you don't want to be in the front. If you crash nose first, I don't think there is a safe seat. Yeah. But anyway, that would be one of the things. And then we give you the shocking details, common survival tips that most people actually get wrong. Oh. Yeah, and it kind of, the plain thing is one of those, but it's within a bigger, bigger topic. Yeah. That's good news for everybody. Yeah, I mean, if we were not even on this show. Yeah. And we heard that those were the things they were going to talk about. I would say, well, I would watch that show. Yeah. Or listen to it. Watch and listen. We encourage both. Yes. At the same time. Yeah. We are on YouTube. If you're just listening to us on the app, oh, you're missing out on so much. You didn't get to see the giant refrigerator that Molly brought in. Or the chair. You know, before we leave today, I will reveal what my chair yoga will be today. Each and every day I'm going to share with you what is up for me in chair yoga. I think it's very important. You can play along at home if you want. Next, I'm waiting for going to sneak in the gym with a camera. It seems like little movements, but you know what? It all adds up to. Yeah. things. Do each of the movements have names? Like how... Oh, heck yeah. Yeah. Heck yeah. You want to know? Yeah, I do. I sure do. Oh, she's going to the book. I'll practice with you. The book looks like a coloring book. Yeah. And the big print came in to... Now there's assisted march. There's the chair backward lunges. So yesterday, since you're asking, I did cat cow stretch, seated side stretch, seated cactus pose, leg pendulum, standing, pastasana, something, seated march, and the seated sphinx. Show me the seated sphinx. That's the hard one, Quinn. Thank you. It's a hard one. So you're going to put your palms like this.

26:13

And then you put it against your knees. It's hard to say. And then you push. And you push. What is, I don't know what you're doing. Well, it's hard. It's like, you're like. I'm wiped. I'll show you a more challenging one now that you're taunting me like this. I can read the book from here. I know that's the beauty. It is giant print. Look at the size. And it even says show everybody the way it says right on the cover. Giant print, large print. Like they, you know, it's for, and look at the person that's on there. I mean, that looks, that's, is that what you want to be associated with? She's got excellent posture, Dave. Can you do that? Can you put your feet straight out like that with your back that straight? I don't think so. I could do that. Do it. Well, I know I can. I got all this. Oh, the wires. The wires again. There's the, yeah, the seated, well, the seated March.

27:20

Today is going to be more challenging, though. It's going to be way more challenging. And then they're going to want you, like, once you start doing this, then they want you to do several. Because right now it'll be a neck roll, you know, or chair punches for 20 reps. Well, then, bridge pose, chair squat, chair warrior pose, side leg raises, and lotus pose. Okay. Oh, boy. I have taken some yoga classes, so I didn't have to look up every single post. Yoga's harder than you think. And how much did you pay for the book? $17. $17 for the large print book. But think these are going to be flying off the shelves. What if I could be product placement? Like, what if I'm the new spokesperson? You spent over a full unit on that book for me. I know. I could have bet something. Quinn, do you know I put $20 on the Twins to win the World Series? I was hearing something about that. I didn't know you actually did it. I like it. I'll win like $2,500. I'm sure. For $20. Good stuff. That's good. Well, we're Twins fans now. Yep. I like it. And the Mariners won last night. Yeah. We had a walk-off win to beat the Yankees. Oh, that's good. That's a good one. And it's the first time this season that the Mariners are over 500. Hey. Nice. Defending Western champions. Very good. Anyway. Well, that's good. Yeah. All right. Well, I don't know what the Twins record is. You should know, since you're a Twins fan, right? Heck yeah. Where they are in their division. Quinn's record record this year. Of course I know. Absolutely, I know. I know that they are. Hey, we should get the chair yoga people to sponsor the show. Hey. They got a lot of mentions already. They sure have. I should. I should. I don't know how to look up sports ball things, people. Virginia says there was a time when the Girl Scout cookies were $3. Everything's going up. Looks like the Minnesota Twins are one and three. Okay. So they've won one. Is that right? Did I get it right? Early in the season. So who is that? Oh, I should have gone with the Cleveland Guardians. No, they're two. Is there anybody undefeated still? Oh, the Yankees were undefeated until last night. Ha, ha, ha. I don't know who's. I don't know who. Well, at least I'm not a Diamondback fan. Oh, and three. Knock, knock. Who's there? Owen. Owen. Owen. Owen. Even the Cubs are one or two. No, some of these people haven't even played yet. Is that right? No, everybody's played. Well, then these stats are wrong. I don't know how to read it. All right. Anyway. All right. It's go time, everybody. We'll get to the news of the day here in just a bit. Also, later in the show, go ask Molly, right? Oh, yeah. We'll have it posted up. If you want to play the show down, we're going to play early today. So make sure you're checking with us via the text line. Pillai will be our guest later on in the show. Somehow, all of that will fit into a four-hour program. Oh, yeah. All right. Thanks for being with us, everyone. The Dave and Molly Show continues from the Numerica Studios.

It's going to be Janine from Bellingham that gets to play. Hello, Janine, are you there? Good morning. Oh, good. Everything's working great. Yes, sounds great. Welcome to the show. Good to have you with us. Good. Good to be with you. I hope it's only mid-rasserie today, Molly. And well, wishes are good to have. And hopes and dreams, always, always keep your hopes and dreams. Actually, it's, you know, it's, it is mid. I'm going to say it's mid. I do have a money question. Okay, where's the money question? Number two, five dollars. Two and five dollars? Yes. Okay. And have you beat me before, Janine? You have, haven't you? I played one time and we tied. Oh, okay. Oh, that's it. All right. That's pretty good. Eight, eight, tie. And. I won $10 that time, Molly. Did I send you $10? You did. My goodness. Boy, you were very friendly. That must have been after a winning night at the casino. All right, Janine, you're awesome. Thank you for being with us. I'm going to leave the studio. Molly has the rules and questions. Good luck. Thanks. Good luck to you. Okay. So with this $5 question, uh-oh, oh, now this is new scooting. We're scooting. He made it. As you can see on our YouTube, we've gone through part of our Apple. We've had some. And also, if you were commenting on YouTube, Quinn is at the helm. Quinn is the one who's, he's like answering and saying hi and all of those things. So you're talking to Quinn, right? I love seeing Quinn this morning. I know. Dave didn't put his microphone on, so now he's just going to have to do hand signals. Because I can't reach it. He's trying to silence you, Quinn. You can't keep Quinn in a corner. Yeah, you can't put me in a corner. There you can't put my voice down. No. But yeah, I'll be in that chat. So any questions or anything, send them my way and I'll be the one answering in there. I like it. Okay. Very good. All right. Janine, are you ready to throw down on the showdown. Let's give it a go. All right. Here we go. What is the largest Scandinavian country? Norway. Norway. Here's your money question. In the 1960s, General Mills tried to make what salty snack into a breakfast cereal? A pretzel? My money is safe. Shortbread has originated in which country? Sweden. Who played Dolly Levi in the film adaptation of Hello Dolly? I don't know.

34:22

The TV show King of the Hill is based in what U.S. state? Illinois. Brenda Lee was only 13 when she recorded which Christmas song? Rocking around the Christmas tree. Why do I bring it up? Mary Poppins' occupation. What was the occupation of Mary Poppins? She was a nanny. Elvis Presley was born on January 8th in which U.S. state? Tennessee. What does the MS. reference in MSNBC? Microsoft. What word is used to describe the employee's side of a casino table? You're going to be so disappointed in me. I don't know. The dealer's side. I don't know. Okay. Well, that's an obvious answer. All right. Dave's coming back in. Did I get any? You did get some. Yes, you did. You did not get the money question. Sorry. Oops. Can't win them all. Hard to get you. We have a giant refrigerator over there. Look at how cute. It's just so tiny. It's a little tiny thing. But it's keeping my food cold for later, we think. How'd you do? How'd you do, Janine? Not good. Go for it, Dave. Did you win $5? No, okay. No. So you've only played one other time, and the other time you won $10. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I struck it big the first time. Go big. Go home. Now we're done. All right. Well, let's see what happens. All right. My turn to play. Ten questions. Here we go. What is the largest Scandinavian country? Greenland. In the 1960s, here's your money question. $5. In the 1960s, General Mills tried to make what salty snack into a breakfast cereal? Pretzels. Damn it. Shortbread originated in which country? Sweden. Who played Dolly Levi in the film adaptation of Hello Dolly? I don't know. The TV show King of the Hill was based in what U.S. state? Texas. What was the occupation of Mary Poppins? Uh, she was a nanny. Brenda Lee was only 13 when she recorded which Christmas song. Rocking around the Christmas tree. Yes. What are Molly's favorite. Elvis Presley was born on January 8th in which U.S. state? Mississippi. What does the MS reference in MSNBC? Microsoft. And what word is used to describe the employee's side of a casino table? The pit.

37:26

Oh, Janine, are you there? I'm here. Oh, I heard a voice in the background. I thought you were far away. I thought you had left us. Final score, Dave went 6 to 3. Got a good old-fashioned, doubler. A doubler. Doubleer. What was the... I'll take it. What was the money question? The money question was... Anybody? I didn't see anybody on the text line. Bugles. Oh. Bugles, they tried to make it. Now, I think if you think about if they made bugles sweet, they actually would be a great texture for cereal because they hold their. And stuff could get inside the little bugle thing. Yeah. And, oh, that's actually great. Okay, that's a good question. And I. I like it. I think it they... I don't think they were far off base. I think they should have just made it sweet. Cinnamon sugar bugles. Yes, yes. I love bugles. They're one of my favorite. I love cinnamon toast crunch. See? Why not have both? You could call them cinnamon tornadoes. They look like little tornadoes. Okay, so the largest Scandinavian country is Sweden. Neither of you got that. Then bugles, but then Scotland for shortbread. So you get Sweden, and if we put it up there. Oh, no, I meant Sweden for the first one. I was going back to it. No, no, you guys, no. And then neither of you got for Hello Dolly. It was Barbara Streisand. Oh, all right. It was not her on the Broadway version, but then when they went to the film version of her, that didn't nobody like. The people who do the Broadway who don't get to do the movie, that's not nice. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway. TV show King of the Hill, Texas, very good. Where they sell propane and propane accessories? No, probably. I want to be a rodeo clown. Nanny for Mary Poppins. Very good. Brenda Lee, rocking around the Christmas tree. I don't know why I put that in there, but I did. Mississippi for Elvis, Microsoft. You both got that. And then Dave got Pitt. Of course he knew the gambling reference because he's always at the casino all the time. See, no one can hear me, but if they're watching the video, they're seeing me what I'm doing. Time is there. Yeah. All right, well, Janine, it's always great to hear your voice. You played well. You sounded great. And what do we have for Janine for just for playing the game? Congratulations from our friends in Numerica Credit Union, proud sponsor of Dave's Cash Showdown. New America Credit Union, they were the credit union that Elvis Presley was using when he was a superstar. And Elvis loved Numerica. In fact, he wrote many songs about Numerica Credit Union. Most of those were unpublished.

40:21

But he really believed in New America Credit Union. And he loved him so much. And then, you know, then he said, I don't want to be a member anymore. And then he got really big and passed away. So, I mean, you can, you can determine. So now what you're saying is if you'd stop being an American member, you'd die. That's what I'm giving. I mean, it has happened. It has happened. I don't, I mean, you can make the connection anyway you want. But. Not a lot of people know that. But anyway, and again, some of these statements have not been verified, but they sure should be. Numerica Credit Union should be your credit union. Yes, and five free cups of Dutch love from Spokane's Dutch Bros. You know what we need to get is a Dutch Bros cup that just sits right here on the table. We do. And, well, the Numerica mug, too. And Numerica mug. We should have that on. And then Northern Quest cards. Northern Quest or cash. Oh, and some dice. How about just cash? Yeah. Oh. What if we just turn this into a little casino? What if we have a dealer who comes? And then in between the breaks, we're playing craps or something. I love that idea. What if? Now hear me out. This is a stretch. We have a refrigerator. Now, what if we had a slot machine in here that we can play? You know some break rooms have the arcade games? Yeah. Slot machine. Why can't we have a slot machine? Think of the money the casino could make if they had satellite slot machines that just went out to workplaces in the break rooms. They could just rent them out and then they go, they put the tickets. And then here's the catch. You put cash in, but the ticket, you got to go out to the casino to cash it. Oh, that's how they get you. Oh, my God. Are you still there, Gene? We got a, sorry, we got a little sidetracked there. I'm just dreaming about it all. Okay. And then I know you, there's casinos up in Bellingham, right? You got. Yeah. Yeah. We've got a few. I know I have some friends up there, and they have a couple that they go to. They frequent. They frequent. My mother is the casino lady, not me. Oh, okay. Mm-hmm. And is she, does she win? No. The kind that you don't like where she goes with $20 and she feels like a loser if she doesn't make it a half an hour. Oh, yeah. Well, that's probably smart. She's living within her means. I mean, that's good. No, she's always sad that she doesn't win. And I tell her, they can't build a casino if you don't deposit your money, mother. Yes. We're all in this together. It's a group. It's a team. There's no I and team. There is an eye and winning. That's right. Two eyes and winning. There is two eyes and winning. Yes. Yes. But there's no eye in team. So you've got to give. My mom always checks on me. Says, how is church today? And then she'll say, how was the Lord blessed you today? And I'll say, well, it was my turn to tithe. So no. You'll say, well, that's okay. You get back. She's all in. She knows. Here's the church bells. All right.

43:30

I think he's going pretty well. Everybody's good. All right, Janine, you're awesome. Thank you very much for playing. Texting your info and Molly will get stuff out to you, okay? All right. Thanks for having me. You sounded great. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. We'll play the showdown tomorrow. Tomorrow, April Fool's Day edition of the showdown. Oh, and the first round of the month of April. Oh, a clean slate for the brand new month. That's right. Okay. We'll see how that works out for someone. Look forward to that. We'll get to entertainment news here in just a bit. Also, Kallai will join us here in about an hour from right now. And this will be her first time, well, everybody's first time with the new setup here in the studio. Yeah. See how that's going to be. Yeah. We'll figure it out. It's going to be great. It's going to be great. Make it work on the fly. All right. Thanks for being with us. Everyone quick break. We're back. This is the Dave and Molly show. We are live from the Numerica Studios. Go ask Molly, what should you do? Should understand what you're going through. You need sage advice as you make a decision. You got to measure twice and cut with precision. Sometimes it's yes, sometimes it's no. Sometimes she'll just say, come on, checkers, let's go. So if you're confused and melancholy. Go ask Molly. Always a perfect song. Go ask Molly. Yes. People have questions. You have answers. Yes. What are we dealing with today? Well, and we just put it up on the Facebook, so please hop on, or you can comment on our text line, or you can comment on YouTube now, and we will check. All right. So I'll check Facebook. You check text. Quinn will be on YouTube. Okay. We'll cover all the bases. So if you want to chime in, please chime in. Here's the question. uh plain and simple my friend's kids are rude i love my friend but her kids are just brats she claims that she lets them express themselves however they feel fit they are eight and ten and they run their house no please no thank you they don't pick up after themselves and they are rude i'm all for letting a kid be a kid but i think she's doing them a great disservice doing them a great disservice to them there's an extra them in there and of course they're homeschooled She always wants us to gather at her house, but none of us want to go there because of her kids. I know it's bad to try to tell people how to raise their kids, but is it okay to tell her that we don't want to go there because of them? I think that's two different things. I think maybe you're not supposed to tell, but you can absolutely be like, look, you can raise your kids the way you want, but we're not coming to your house because they're rude. But then what do you say to the, I mean, can you say that to somebody?

46:32

She probably knows their rude. To me, it's rare that you have an 8 and 10 year old that aren't a little rude unless they're very well. you know, parented or coached and the fact that they're homeschooled, I think that you would think that the parents would have a lot of time with them. Yes. I would think, you know, sometimes you have school angels, home devils, so they're very well-behaved at school and then they come home and they're jerks. And sometimes, which is even more frightening, is if they're horrible at school and come home and they're perfect at home. That's the one that's scary because that means that. they're not feeling comfortable at home. But if you're with them all the time, how can you bear it? I mean, if I were homeschooling a brat, that would be ridiculous. You'd think they'd have even more lines, you know, because they're there all the time. They're never going to school. I don't, there's a fine line between letting a kid. I mean, sometimes. When Alex was younger, I would allow him to speak in ways that maybe other adults around didn't think he should to me. But that was my choice. We have our own relationship, and he can be a smart aleck with me, and he can be demanding of me, and that's who we are together. Now, I would not let him be that with somebody else. If he was being rude to somebody else, I would knock it off. But I never appreciated... when somebody would step in and say, no, that's not how you talk to your grandmother. Like, well, yes, it is. That's exactly how he talks to his grandmother. I am his grandmother, and I told him he could talk to me that way. So that's tricky. But if he started being that way with other people, then you can't do that. And I'm a grandma. It's different, you know, different. I don't know. What do you guys think? What do you think? What do you think? Concerns, statements. You can text in your thoughts via the Dutch Bros. Text line 509-448-3-2-37. And then there's also you can comment through YouTube if you're seeing all of this happen. Yes. And the Facebook as well. Yes. Everybody. That's a tough age. I don't know that you can make. firm decisions based on some kids' behavior at 8 and 10. I don't know. Well, obviously they've been a long time since I had little ones. Yeah. And 8 and 10, that's kind of those are feeling they're, you know, they can be kind of jerky anyway. I think, personally, I think it's within your reason to say something about at this juncture where your kids are, maybe it's best that we don't have a gathering of adults. Doesn't seem like it's fun for them. Definitely not fun for us. So maybe we don't subject them to that. Debbie on the text line says, yes, say something better to be honest than not saying anything at all. Yeah.

49:29

Oh, if they're going to wonder. Maybe you can, like, invite the person over to your house and invite them over and be like, yeah, we're having a no-kids type of night and try to do it more in that sense to, like, not maybe offend them. Because I know particularly when the kids are at those ages, I agree that it's hard to make any conclusions and things on them, but maybe try to have an adult's only night at your house. Or be more specific and say, yes, some kids, but no eight or ten-year-olds. Okay. So we just, I mean, we just, you know, we just decided. I mean, it may change in a couple. Well, I don't know if this person. It will change next year. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I don't know if this person has their own kids or not either, because that makes a big difference. If you have your own kids, you totally understand. But also if you have your own, your own kids, you. You have something to base it on. Like, well, I don't want my kids acting like this. If you don't have them and you've never been around an 8 and a 10 year old, then really it's kind of tricky. On Facebook, Aaron says, absolutely not unless you want to kiss your friendship goodbye. I suggest a mom's night out or start a book club something that the kids aren't allowed to do or attend. I have a friend with an out-of-control kid and keeps things separate, especially because I don't want my kids around him. Fair enough. That's a good point. Jesselon on the sex line, invite her out to a bar for drinking. If she doesn't go for that, when you do something for the kids, say very loud in a strong voice, you're welcome. I think I said it the right way she won't. Yeah. Pretty good. Well, and I know kids go through their different phases. There were times when I was. parenting where I just knew that it wasn't going to work. I knew what was appropriate. I knew what my son could handle in. And then I also knew the safe space because I raised him with our friends and their daughters. So I knew anything that happened within that realm, we all understood that everybody's going through phases and everybody's going to be a jerk for a while. And sometimes we're not going to want to be around those kids right now. So I understand, but I was also very sensitive to it. I mean, I knew that that was the case. I knew where I couldn't bring him. He was never rude to people. He would just quietly run away. Like, where is he? Is that your kid up there in the tree? Oh, thank you. You know, he was more ornery, but he was always polite to other people. But you got to know what's appropriate for your kids. I don't understand the people who want their kids with them no matter what. It's not always appropriate. Even if they're well-behaved, still, you don't, it's not your acting doing things that you don't want them to see you do as an adult. And that's not really fair to always bring a kid into an adult environment. Phil says hire kid actors and then have them around during the get-together to show them how to behave. Very simple plan. Let's hire the kid actors. So first get some actors and then got to pay for them and then hope that they will do as the others do. I mean, I don't know if there's a, I do think you're going to have to just make other plans. And if she says,

52:55

Well, why don't you ever come over to my house? Maybe just say, it seems like there's a lot going on. You've got the kids. You're homeschooling. We don't want to add to the burden. Oh, no, no, it's no burden. My kids love having you over. Oh, no, it's a burden. Oh, it's a burden. Oh, it's a burden. Oh, right. It's a burden for us. John on the text line says you can let your kids express themselves. However, basic manners should always be part of that. If you don't like the way your friend is raising their kids, just don't go over there as much. Okay. Yes. Natasha says, um, um, um, um. I just tell them, I love you and I love hanging out with you, but I'm going to be honest. Sometimes the kid's behavior feels a little rude to me. And it makes it hard to relax. Can we plan some get-togethers outside of your place? We can try it. As soon as the word rude comes up, the mom's cackles go up. Rude. Did you say rude? Did you already read a vet? You were read a vets. They're coming in fast. Come in hot and fast. I don't think we've read this one. Yvette, listener 194, your kids are rude to parents, but never in front of other adults. Teachers, adults always said how well-behaved my kids were, and I was so grateful. I would let your friend know that you will not gather at her house and say adults only. All right. Adults only. And again, more specifically, no 8 and 10 year old. Oh, you have a 12 and a 15 year old? They're invited. But no 8 and 10 year olds, not invited. All right. Anything on YouTube that we need to know about? No, nothing super pressing coming through on the go-ask Molly at the moment. Getting some. comments about some other things. I think our slight delay. Oh, yes. That's right. People are very excited. The Quinn is back. Look at it. Multiple Quinn mentions here on YouTube. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you all. I'm very excited to be back. It's been super fun. It's like old times again getting back into it. But it's an adjustment in the mornings, huh? Yeah, it is. Getting back to that time. Especially summer. Yeah, the summertime, which I don't know if I've ever actually. than with you guys through the summer kind of months, I don't think so. You started in September and then I think it was March of last year when. Yeah, so no real spring in summer months, but I'm super excited. I already know next Tuesday is going to be tough for me after the national championship game Monday night. Oh, you'll be in good company though. Yeah, but I'll be in good spirits after that. You boys can phone it in. I got you. I'll be asleep. I'll be asleep before the last bucket scores. I have watched. Five minutes of basketball through this entire thing. Was it Nebraska? I don't even know that it wasn't.

55:49

Maybe. And it was at the casino as I was passing by going to my car. Well, there's only three more games left. We got two Saturday and then the championship game Sunday. I used to watch the championship game every time because we used to host a thing. And it would be on. And then we would do prizes and stuff. So we'd watch it for different gatherings, different settings. Like, yay. I'll tell you what the most fun I ever had was when. Who's the gal that it was the it was the Women's Finals. And it was, what's the... Oh, Caitlin Clark? That game. Yeah, that was fun. That was really fun. We all gathered to watch that. It was cool. There's a great new commercial, Capital One commercial. They've now hired Caitlin Clark. Have you seen that one? I have, yeah. It's got Charles, it's got all the regular people, Charles Barkley and Samuel L. Jackson and everything. But she's, you know, shooting three points with, you know, food and landing and stuff. Yeah, it's great. It's very funny. Yeah, hidden Charles, Barkley with stuff and things like that. My face is not a backboard. Yeah. Terrible. Terrible. I like that. I hope she's making big money, too, because she deserves to. They just had a big CBA negotiation deal, my WMBA news. So now they can, it's still not the same. money-wise compared to the men, but they're making a ton more from what they were making. It was like triple. Yeah, it's like triple. So their max deal is, I think, up to like $1.6 million or something like that now, which was only like $350,000 before. So it's a huge jump. So making some progress there. We were talking the other day because Dave was quizzing me. I claimed I knew all the baseball game team names. I knew almost none of them when he started quizzing me. But I actually knew more NBA than I thought I would. So then he started in with the WMBA and then he said, well, Quinn would know all the, you know all the team names. I do. I should, yeah. And there's a couple that are moving around now and a couple new ones coming soon. So. It'll be, but I do believe I know them all. And you know all the hockey teams? I think so, yeah, probably. And off the top of my head, I don't think I can name all the hockey teams, but if you, like, listed the cities, I could tell you what their team is. NBA? NBA, I could do probably all of them just off the top of my head. Baseball? Not off the top of my head. I think I would know. Baseball is my, like, the sport that I know the least about to be totally, particularly MLB. So I think if you gave the same type of thing, if you gave me all the cities, I think I could. Tell you what the mascots are. Orioles. Washington. Nationals. San Francisco. Giants. Quebec. Didn't they used to have a team? Or one of those Canadian cities? She's so proud of her joke. All right. Let me see if there's any more comments on the Facebook, and then we will call it good.

58:47

Any more texting? I think there were a couple more texting. Mostly they're about Quinn. Quinn's a hot topic today. Oh, yeah. A lot of heat on Quinn. Here's one more. Tell her you'd like to get her out of her busy home for mommy time. That's a good idea. I think you can avoid it until the kids get out of the rude face. I mean, I do. I think you can just push them off and push them off and just be not available. And if she wants to do something. Then go somewhere else, say, oh, let's do it at my house. What if she says do it at your house, then she brings the rude kids with her? Oh, boy. Then we've got trouble. Then we've got real trouble. So, well, good luck, Dee. And the moral of the story is don't have rude kids. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Let's see. Let's go to Molly. It's so weird to see the person I've heard only by voice. So happy Quinn is there. I love watching listening. So they're 30 years strong now. Have they never seen you, Quinn? I guess not. I don't know. Maybe not. Because we weren't ever really on video. We'd occasionally post a picture on our social media. But that's probably about all I've really, my face has been in. Not going to be able he's a star. Most people would be like, now, is it possible to just have Quinn on, we still want you guys to talk. We like your funny banter. But could we just have it be Quinn? No. Maybe a couple other young people from the building. Just put the camera on them. We need to hire actors to play us. We need Olivia to get it. What if Olivia and Quinn sit here? And then we're off, and then others moving their mouths and we're doing funny things behind the scenes. All right. Well, speaking of the pretty people, we have real TV people coming in here. Yes. Kalai will join us here in just a bit. We'll have a segment with her. When we return, this is The David and Molly Show from the Numerica Studios. We now return to the Dave and Molly Show. Hey, look at us here. It's our friend Kallai. Good morning. And you're in the new situation here. What do you think of it? Well, I was going to ask you guys because you're on YouTube now. And so you're addressing the camera now. Yes. But does it feel like you're less connecting because you're not facing each other? Or do you still feel a connection? We still look deeply into each other's eyes when we speak. Calli. Why do you do this? What? Good morning. Good morning. Look how uncomfortable. You guys are clearly brother and sister. He doesn't even like discuss. Look, I just, you know, body language. I always taught my kids like square up. Like when someone's talking to you, square up. Yeah, yeah. That's good thing. It's nice, but you can't, in this case, you can't. Because now, well, look at you and Sam. How do you do it? So you're both talking to the audience, though. Yeah, exactly. We're actually talking to each other. So yeah, there's a little weird. Well, and I feel like. It's less about the connection. I mean, like obviously Sam and I have to have good chemistry, but it's less about the connection because more about...

1:01:52

Reading our scripts and the content. Yes. Yeah. You're delivering a product. We are just being silly. No, you guys have very important information. Like, I did not know what a Midwest goodbye was until you brought that information to me. We were talking about it this morning on when you were co-hosting the Wakeup show. I'll stop local, yeah. Thank you, Kallai. And the Midwest. Midwest goodbye is when you say goodbye. to every single person in the room. Yeah. And you were saying that in Hawaii, that's the same kind of thing. You go around and kiss every single person when you get there and when you leave. Oh. You're kissing now. Yes, kiss. It's a cheek to cheek. Okay. Yeah. Not like open mouth. And it's like, yeah, and I would say. Holy. Imagine. Imagine how long that the Hawaiian hello would take if there's a little tongue involved, okay? Not at all, no. And I would say it's even, it might even be quicker. It's quicker than a hug because it is like cheek to cheek. Around the room. And you were saying the Midwest goodbye, which I wouldn't know I haven't spent a lot of time there. Not only is it a goodbye, but also it could very well be a whole on conversation. And a lingering and it happens all right by the door. Like they're just ready to leave, but then, you know. And it's cold out there. It's Wisconsin and there's snowblow. And it's like, okay, Steve, go ahead and go. Yeah, that would be a good one though. Like if you. are not into the Midwest goodbye. Just open the door. You're standing in the entryway. Just open the door. And then get out. It's cold. Right? Okay. And then you guys say it depends on the size of the party on if you're doing the... Yeah. If it's 100 people, you can't say. Oh. You say goodbye to the host, though. Okay. You always try to find the host. Okay. If it's a wedding... And the bride and groom are otherwise occupied. I don't know that you interrupt them whatever they're doing to say goodbye. And usually if it's a wedding, believe me. That's a good information because she's not a lot of them. So she will know this part of it pretty well. So speaking of that, at my first wedding, it would have been rude for people not to say goodbye. It was small enough. Second wedding, everybody's hammered. I said, just make it home alive. We're in Vegas. And the third wedding was at the courthouse and Charlie, my boys. Like, I could see the front, I could see the door. But now I miss my, now I lost my train of thought. Thanks, Dave. At weddings. Yeah. Well, it's hard, just the wedding can, there's a lot of thoughts in your head about it because there's been so many that I could see where, you know, it's a lot of, you know, a lot of clutter up there. And just for, just for clarification, how many have you had? I don't know. I can't. I don't know. I took more than one. I don't know. Did anyone come up and say goodbye and then they say, see you next time? Because there'll be another one. Maybe my second one, maybe. No, I did have a friend who missed my second wedding and she was hauled off in an ambulance and she said, don't worry, I'll make the next one. Oh, my gosh. Have you guys been to those where you're...

1:05:02

At a wedding and you're like, I don't know if this is forever. Absolutely, my own. So you knew at the time? Like, you couldn't have known at the time. No, I wouldn't know. I was very hopeful at the time. My first wedding, I was a little thinking, I'm a little young for this. I don't know how this will work out. But, no, I was very excited to be married. Otherwise, I wouldn't have done it. Okay. That's good. Yeah. You want to be sure on the day of, but my point, now I'm really bad because I had a good point about wedding. It was about saying goodbye. It was about depending on the size of the wedding. Right. Oh, at wedding. Here comes. Here we go. When you say hello to the bride and groom, you do it all in that thing. You say, I'm so happy for you. This is going to be so great. Enjoy your evening. Thank you for inviting us. And if we don't see you, like we're having fun, you go have fun and we'll see you after the honeymoon. I love that. I love that. Because also, as the bride and groom, are you happy or sad if people don't say goodbye to you? If it's a decent-sized wedding, 100 or more. I think they understand. You don't want to stop what you're doing every time. They're so happy that you're there to share in their special day, but also like... That's all it is. It's like hello, hello, hello, goodbye, goodbye. So maybe they want to like, I don't know. Did you have a big wedding? I think it was over 100 people, less than two. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I was. Well, that's a big. And you only one. I know, right? Yeah, that's a big spread. Say like around 150. Oh. And you just had the one wedding. Yes. And you're good with that. So far, so good. Okay. For some people, that's enough. For some people, that's fine. Well, we've talked about it before. I say, I think, like, the hardest thing would be, like, you fundamentally just disagree on things. Or, like, somebody has to make a really big sacrifice or something. So, like, there's people all the time where it's, like, they live in a city they don't want to even live in. Or they have five kids and they wanted. Zero. Or vice versa. That gets out of control back. Right? Or vice versa. Like I wanted a ton of kids and like I loved this person but they don't want to. Or just one day you're like, I don't like you, but you like me. And that's a problem because I don't like you anymore. I have to go now. Yeah. Well, and I've heard a big conversation lately like. about happiness, like your happiness. And actually, which sounds hilarious, but this is actually a new phenomenon, that people are just wanting to be happy. That's what I've been trying to tell everybody. Yes, I'm getting divorced again. I just want to. Right? And not only do I want to be happy, I want the person to be happy. They're going to be happier once I cut them loose. Yeah. They may not think so now, but they will. I mean, they talk about divorce rates. I don't know what they are now, but for years. divorce rates have been increasing. I'm like, because in the olden days, it didn't matter if you were happy. You were, it didn't, that wasn't a question. You're like just trying to survive and then, I don't know, if you were a woman who couldn't get a credit card or a bank account. You were also just married. We weren't even allowed to have a credit card. Right? But you guys could vote. That was good, right? Yeah. Eventually. Eventually, yes.

1:08:11

And then eventually we got credit cards. So now women can be like, wow, I can make my own money and get alone to buy a house. I guess I don't need you here. That's right. And there's also a way for us to make our own babies now. See? We don't even need any of them. Because you guys want to make a few extra bucks. You're willing to go to the clinic. Yeah. We'll take it. Right? We don't even need. I think it's working out. For everyone. And it is. I think it's the best of times. The first time I got divorced, we had an American Express card, and we split up, and I wasn't making very much money. I was serving, you know, anyway, I go to get a card, and they said, oh, no, you can't have your own card. And I said, why not? Well, your husband's not on it. And he made a lot more money. And I said, well, am I responsible for the balance on the current one we have? Oh, absolutely. I said, but I can't have my own. And they said, well, no, you don't make enough money. You can't have one. Yeah, rude. Yeah, there's a bunch of stories that go along with that too. That is. I know. I also have heard cheaper to keeper. Like the finances and all the split and what you had to go through there, like sometimes it's like, I'm too tired. I guess I'll just keep being married to you. And that's the phrase, cheaper to keeper. I've never heard that. Yeah. There's got to be a vice versa, though, because not all the dudes are making more anymore. That's what's cost me. I usually have to pay. I don't know who these women are. They get money out of men. I don't know. I don't know that works. It's true. I don't. I've never. I don't know how that, but I guess it happens. Oh, it happens. Okay. Well, sorry. That's what happens when you get to vote 200 years before we do. Right. Keep paying. I hope this is all great advice for Quinn over there who is now engaged. Yeah, you're getting married. I am. And you're planning on just the one. I'm planning on it. Yes, that's the plan going into it for sure. Everybody's plan. Right. I do know that we have already made it a thing for us because we're big dance floor people. So we're like, when it comes dancing time, we don't want to be interrupted. And we're going to plan to tell people, because my family from the East Coast, we're going to have like a Sunday brunch or whatever after the fact to see them off. But we're like, if we're out there dancing and you don't want to come join. Go home. Irish goodbye. We're good. That's awesome. I love it. So that's our plan. Good. I mean, imagine you're doing the worm on the dance floor. I will be. I will just stop midworm to say goodbye. Cindy. Yeah. Oh, Quinny. We're so happy for you. Yeah. And if they catch me during a Michael Jackson song, I will throw rage. I'll rage out and it'll be bad. And that's a thing that, you know, for your age. I've been to a few of those weddings of that age group. And that is. They want to hang out. That's fun. And they have usually their social group of friends that have always been there, go out and have fun with friends. And they want to just, they want to, it's a party night for them. Do you have a date? We do next August. Oh, his wife. Hello.

1:11:19

Who did you think he was bringing? Sorry. Weird question. Do you have a date for the way? Yeah. Anyway, go ahead. Sorry. No, yeah. Next August, we're getting me getting married here in Spokane. So I'm getting all my family to come up from the East Coast and come to spend a weekend here with us. So it would be fun. Do you think they're going to want to stay? Like, are they going to fall in love with Spokane? That's my hope. I've been trying for five years. That's what I did when I came to visit. So I've been trying for five years to get people out here to see it. And I've only been able to successfully get my parents and my little brother out who both like it, but just aren't going to move here tomorrow. But August is a good time of year because you can showcase all the nice lakes and everything. And it's not all humid and buggy like it is where they live. Yes, exactly. Buffalo and Florida in August, hello. They're going to love it here. Yeah, it'll be good relief. Yeah, we're hoping, I'm going to hope to have my bachelor party, like, kind of on the front end of the wedding week and maybe go over to Cort Lane and get a cabin or something like that and really show off the area. I'm only doing this once, people. Yeah. Yes. So you have to come. Yeah, we're live for one night only. Yeah, well, good luck with that. I'm kidding. It's going to be great. Join us tomorrow on Wake Up Nonstop Local. Of course you guys will because you anchor the show with us every morning. Yes. 545 and 745. Oh, yes. Why? Because you guys aren't there. Are you confused? We record. It's recorded. We played again. Oh, it is? Yeah. Really? Yeah. Oh. Yeah. The other day I was out. I won't even say where I was, but this very nice little lady, we were chatting. And then we walked away and they were chatting again. She said, now I know you. And I said, oh, I'm Molly. From the news. And I say where I co-acre the news every day. She said, you and your friend Dave. I've seen you with Kallai and Sam. Oh my gosh, that's awesome. See, you guys do co-anchor with us. Yeah, and we're, that's crossing work because they weren't not our listeners. Oh, she had no idea. That was the only reference she had, for sure, because we were sitting and chatting, and she was very sweet. Evelyn was her name. And then I didn't even get to mention the podcast. I just said, yep, she said, I'll see you on the news. I was going to give her a shout out, I forgot, but yeah. Well, and that same has happened to Sam and I, where they'll come in and they'll be like, You run into them and they're like, I'm a listener. That's happened to me a couple times. I'm listener, such and such number. They'll reference something we were talking about. So it's a good partnership, guys. And I do see on display your... Best of. Oh, is that still out there? I mean, we didn't even notice. I was going to put that away. Well, I am just saying, given your popularity, and now that you anchor the morning show, maybe we can get Best of TV anchors next time. I wonder if we qualify for that. I mean, yes. I know. I know. No, no, no. I mean, I want it to be about us. I mean, me and Sam. I mean, all of us. Yes.

1:14:19

We're a whole anchors. We're a team. Yes. And we need your popularity to get one of these. You know what? I'm going to say that they should have a category for best news team rather than the individuals because usually you have your two anchors at weather and a sports person. And collectively the reporters and everything, maybe we should suggest to them that there's to be that category. Well, it is, I mean, they do have a ton of them now, not team. But they've got weather, sports, anchor. And that's it. Yeah. They should. Or maybe I could just like find a printer and make our own. We'll make one for you. I'm going to bring one in a camera fit. Yes. And then we have to talk about, pull back the curtain a little bit. Molly mentioned it. But when we came on this morning, we were coming in hot. We were in this studio and they came over and said one minute. And we go over there. And Kalai, you were so great. You had our mics ready to go. They were all turned on like you. That is a teammate. That's a good teammate. This sounds insane. But if you do it every day, you know that turning on the microphone, which does take like, what, three to five seconds? Which sounds like not a lot, but in TV time, three to five seconds is a lot. And then unraveling the cord, again, also takes three to five seconds. So that was like essentially almost like 10 seconds lost. You did. If I didn't do that for you guys. And our walkover, that's. 30 seconds. And you hustle. I saw a jog happening. I thought it was on our end. I thought we were calling for you guys earlier than usual. Well, usually. I think we were off at the same time. Usually we go over there at 41 after, but all of a sudden it was 43. And at least we go over there. But I was left at my house at the same time. I don't know how I lost a couple of minutes. Maybe because we were in here chatting about the studio. And again, a minute is a lot. In TV time goes fast. Yeah. Yeah. Good teammates cover for their teammates. Yes, guys. Okay, well, I'll see you tomorrow. Yeah. And are you going to, is it going to, yeah, we'll see you on the news. I'll see you when you come in with us. Yesterday, Sam dropped, we were talking about sports people because I was making fun of the sports announcers. And we asked him, you could have to take this back to the desk. Okay. We asked him if he had, what do we ask him if he had a catchphrase. Right, yeah. And so he said he did, it was baseball in Anchorage. Was it in Alaska? Yes. And so his thing was, you have to do it, because I don't remember the details. It was. two men on, three men jogging. That was for a... Which means the guy at the home plate hit a home run. So there was two guys on, and now they're three jogging around. Oh, okay. So that was his thing. So that was his home run call. Did he have to explain it every time he said it? We picked up on it, but it is kind of a longer... Way to say home run. Yes. But what I would like for you to be able to do is go back and just say those guys and just feel like, yeah.

1:17:21

Two men on, three men jogging. I said it eight times yesterday in my regular life. But if you could drop it somehow, I think it would be really funny. Because he'll go, cahoots. He'll be like, I made that up. I'm like, no, you didn't. Just like you think you made up Tarjeet, actually everybody says two men on three men jogging. Everybody says that. All right, good seeing you guys. Good to see you tomorrow. See you, Kalai. Yep. That's good. In the new studio. Pretty good. Yeah. Got cameras. Yeah. Light, action, roll them. I really hope that she's able to just drop that in conversation with him. Because he will, he will say cahoots. He will be pissed. I call cahoots. I call cahoots. That's always this thing. All right. All right. I think that well, we'll do a break and then we'll have our hot topic segment. We'll get to that here in just a bit. It's the last day of March. Tomorrow, everybody to be on high alert. We're not going to warn you tomorrow. But today, you know, be prepared for April Fool's Day tomorrow. Yep. You never know what can happen. No, we don't know. Be prepared. Be on guard. All right. Back after a break, the Dave and Molly show continues from the Numerica Studios.

1:18:42

Hot Topics. Brought to you by Clark's Tire and Automotive Center. All right, let's jump into our hot topic segment. Are you ready for the hot topic segment? Nobody can hear you. You're not, you don't have a mic on right now. That's because I'm trying to relax into my yoga. I was doing shoulder shrugs into arm circle. Mm-hmm. Everybody on YouTube, you're getting an eye full now. Warrior. So it is. All right. Here's what we do know. You got your book ready to go. Cherioga. Celebrating birthday stay. See if you can get this person. Okay. Sawyer Fredericks. How old? He is 27 years old. World of. Music. Boyer Fredericks. He was an American Idol winner. You're very close. He was on the voice. Yes. But he was the youngest person ever to win the voice. How old was he? 16. Oh, geez. Yeah. I don't know if I remember that. I don't have any knowledge of this person. I never watched the voice. Are you a voice person, Quinn? You watch the voice. Yeah, we do. I actually, we haven't watched it the last handful of seasons, so I actually have never heard of this guy. But this would have been. This would have been several years ago. We watched it for about two and a half years when I first moved here, so somewhere in the middle of when he won and now. But no, I've never heard of him. That's really interesting. But a pretty good claim to fame, though, right? I guess so. What's he doing now? Well, see, there you go. Is it a claim to fame or it's a curse? It might be a curse. Here's one I think you should be able to get. Come on now. All right. Come on now, kid, get it. Go on here. She won't get this one. She'll get it, get it good. Did you miss this, quit? I did. Come now, kid. All right, ready? Angus Young. He's from ACDC. Very good. Okay. We got a winner. He is the only original member of ACDC left. Speaking of that, did you happen to see up on a billboard the Gene Simmons? Uh, no, but I got into a conversation with a card dealer yesterday about Gene Simmons. Ah, okay. I won't reveal much of what I was told. All right. Yeah. What about the... Oh, no, I just, there's the big billboards, and they're very large as you're walking into a casino land, and it's like, oh, oh, he's rocking us. He's rocking us. Oh. He's all by himself, Gene Simmons. Yeah, it's like the Gene Simmons band. Yeah. So, yeah, I heard a thing about that. Oh, I'd like to hear that off the air. Okay, so Angus Young. Yeah. Angus Young is 71. And a former vice president of the United States of all of America, a two-termer, Al Gore. Oh. Al Gore has a birthday today, 78. In my plan, I'm going to have a birthday, but there won't be any candles because that will warm the earth.

1:21:56

Good one. It's an inconvenient truth, but you need to know it. Right? Yeah, pretty good. And then I'm going to be in a hot tub in S&L, and that's when everything ends for me. Oh, it ended all right. Just think about that. I mean, you're a two-term vice president from a southern state and a southern Democrat, so you've got all these political advantages. Then you barely lose. An election. Right. And then you think, well, I won't think your career's over. No. Until you make the decision to go on Saturday Night Live shirtless. Yes. Oh. Like, who said that was a good idea? Like, who's the one that convinced him? No, Al, no, this would be good. It'll help you connect with, you know. I think after everything that happened with the chads and all that, because that was, wasn't that? I mean, it was taxing. That was exhausting. And he probably thought, well, if I'm just, I give up. I'm going shirtless on SNL. I just. I'll be in a hot tub. I can't take it anymore. We're wearing swim trunks. I don't know what. Well, let's look at another case where somebody put on a helmet and went in a tank. And they hadn't even lost the election yet until then. Oh, they lost it then. Well, you know who Al Gore is? I know who he is. I had no idea. He did this on S&L. I thought you guys, I thought S&L did a bit on him in a hot tub or something. Oh, no. Oh, my goodness. And I remember we went back to work. the, like, well, the Monday or whatever. And, like, everybody knew, well, that tells you that he's done. Yeah. Yeah. It was that, it was in your home state of Florida. Yeah. Your original home state, right? Yeah. Well, second home state, but yeah. They had the hanging chads. It was a long, drawn out election thing. And after 60 days, how many days was it? It was, I don't think they confirmed it until, well, it was probably 30 because I think it was. It was mid-December when they finally said, okay, it's... Yeah. And he lost after being in a very popular presidency. I mean, that was a part of. But, you know, and after all that, then, you know, you take your shirt off and you go on SNL. He was in a hot tub. What was the bit? I don't even remember the bit. Was he playing himself? He was, right? I don't remember. Once you see him in a hot tub, it's like nothing else mattered. It was like, good boy. Yeah, I could see that being a career ender. Yeah. Well, and the lockbox thing that I always do the lockbox bit because that was something they did on SNL. Right. But. I'm just going to put S&L and then hot tub. We'll just see if anything pops up. Well, the first bit that will come up will be Will Ferrell and was it Rachel Dratch. They did a hot tub bit that was always very funny. Right. Yeah, Decision 2000 with Bush and Gore cold open lineup. Now, maybe it's been taken off. It might be. You'll have to look for it. It may have been removed. I'm not seeing anything. Yeah.

1:25:12

There's something from the Christian Scientons monitor. Al Gore and hot tub question mark, memorable. Yes. And I, okay, this is my computer now. I'm Googling things. What just popped up on my computer. A printable chair yoga program is now free. It's now free. You've wasted $17 on the book. They know. Your computer knows you. No kidding. What does that have to do with the Christian Science Monitor? All right. Anyway. Ria Perlman is also 78. Yes. Carla from Cheers. Mm-hmm. Okay. They used to be, or she used to be married to Danny DeVito. Then they got divorced. Then they got together. They did, but I think they are now officially separated. Oh. So they were together, not together, together, and now. I told you, my friends said, if they can't stay together, who has a shot? Yeah. They're perfect for each other. Yeah. Gabe Kaplan. Still with us. Mr. Cotter. He's 81. Very, and very nice. He was very good to all those sweat hogs. And he was one of the early, well, big time poker players. Yeah. But he, before poker was like ever on TV and all that kind of stuff, he was a legit player, but a celebrity. He also owned his show, first comedian to own his show. Other, like, Red Fox and those guys, they did those shows. They didn't own him. When he did Welcome Back Carter, he was part owner of that show. That was his bit, and he stuck to it. And then after that came all the people who owned their show. Little known. He's a lot of money. Probably had tons of money. Yeah. Yeah. All right, now, this would be fun because I'm going to say somebody's name and you do an impression of this person. Okay. And we'll let you just run off and do all of your impressions of 83-year-old Christopher Walkin. Dave, now that we're on YouTube, I feel it necessary not to do this anymore because Molly looks stupid doing it. Because of this. Yeah. Let me tell you something about chair yoga, Dave. You don't know. It's very good for flexibility and make sure that you were constantly moving. That's all. And I believe his picture is on the... Oh, no, that's a woman. No. Also notice a large print, Dave. I don't have to wear my glasses anymore. This is not him. How dare you? Well, I just, I mean, I just looked quickly. I'm going to say it again. She's got lovely posture and great flexibility. And I dare you to try to do this maneuver. Both of you. That? That can totally do that. For how long? Well, how long is she doing? Look how straight she is. Long enough for a photo. See, that hurts. That hurts long enough for a photo.

1:28:29

It hurts just thinking about it. I don't like it. See, I know. See, and you're young. I know. I'm not flexible. Cheer yoga's not for everyone. A lot of people only know Christopher Walken from the Saturday Night Live bit with the, you know, need more cowbell. Right. Very famous bit. But he also, he kept a pocket watch in a very delicate spot. In Pulp Fiction. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. People to know that movie, definitely know. Hey, you know what? Today is National Tater Taut Day. We like Tater Tots. Never been a better time to have some Tater Tots. We have a tot. Yeah, I like tots. Yeah. Everybody likes it. The polyadamite reference from Molly. Give me some of your tots. Get some of your own. Gosh. And then he actually had him in his pocket too. Yeah. Yeah, the kid kicks him and smashes him. Oh, geez. That's a good Napoleon Dynamite. I've watched a lot of it. So. I should have it on lock at this point. What was the other one that we had you do? Remember that you pulled out of your pocket? What was it? It was so funny. It was a really good imitation, and you even surprised yourself with it. Remember? Oh, yeah, I do remember doing it. Now I forget what that was. Was it something to be with Harry Potter? No. No. Shoot, we're going to have to go back. Somebody will remember. Somebody will remember. And it was just audio back then. Yeah. But the facial, I remembered the physicality of it was really good, too. Shoot, what was it? I remember vividly getting super into it. You being like, what the heck of I watching? But I forget what I was doing. I've got a handful of them in my back pocket. So. I'll have to do some digging and find that. You know, the other night on Survivor, I forgot to mention this. And if Brian's listening and a couple other people who watch, Jeff Probst imitated a couple of the survivors. Oh. And he did it dead on. And one of them was sitting right there when he did it. Oh, it's bold. He sort of stutters. He thinks about things, Jeff. And the guy who was doing, he was watching, and he said, oh, that's pretty good. Actually, that's pretty good. And he did two or three different imitations. And he goes, I have a lot of these. So you get the impression that they spend their time. Oh, yeah. Which is what I would do if I hosted that show. I would completely want to imitate each one of them. But it was just surprisingly, he was surprisingly funny. Yeah, I could see that. Jeff Probst full of surprises. Yes, he is. There's no reason he's been doing that for years. That sure is, yeah. 137 years ago today, the year is 1889, the Eiffel Tower was officially dedicated. That's nice. 984 feet tall. It was the world's largest structure at the time. It held the title until the 1930s when we, United States of America, decided to build the Empire State Building. Yeah.

1:31:34

We said, you think you're, yeah, right. And then once again, the French had to surrender a title. Yes, they did. Because they said, whoa. They threw the white flag up. 94 years ago today, the year is 1932. You would talk about speed and power? Yeah. Ford unveiled the new V8 engine. Oh, that was a game changer. Right? It ran on tomato juice. Right? Isn't that what I mean? See, no, this is a dad joke. Quinn, we're... That's a nice, clean joke you can take to your kids' PTA meeting. Being told now, oh, no, eight cylinders. Yes, sir. Not the tomato juice kind. 59 years ago today, Jimmy Hendrick set his guitar on fire for the very first time. At a concert in London, that's what he used to do. He'd bash it, then he would set it on fire, and he could play it behind his back. Yeah. He could do everything. You never want to put it behind, like put it on fire, then put it behind your back, because then you'll burn your back. Right. Or smash it, then try to do it, because then it just sounds weird. Right. It's all about the order of thing. Yeah.

1:32:46

31 years ago today, we've got to bring it down. How far? Yeah, pretty bit. Selena, remember Selena? Yes. Selena was killed in Corpus Christi, Texas, and it was by the founder of her fan club. That's right. That woman's name was Yolanda Sandovar. She was convicted of murder, sentenced to life in prison. She actually was just denied parole last year. But the strange part about this is that situation led to the career of Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer Lopez. Very good. J-Lo played her in that. In the movie. And that was her breakout thing. Was it? Yeah. That was her first thing. Mm-hmm. So for J-Lo was good. Speaking of J-Lo and no spoiler alerts, but the Anaconda movie. You know, the original starred J-Lo. Eric Stoltz and Ice Cube. Those were three of the main people. And in it, there are some cameos. And Ice Cube shows up. And he goes, now. Is Jalo and Eric going to be okay? He goes, well, Jenny's from the block. She'll be fine. He goes, but Eric, I got to go find him because she's going to get him. The Anaconda's going to get him. Anyway, she's sort of, and you can see it coming that she's going to make an appearance, and she does. She's at the end, yeah. Pretty good. That doesn't ruin it for anybody, but, yeah. I was hoping Eric Stolt would be in there, too. And I can't remember there's somebody else. What is that? Do I know? What does he do? Say anything. He was the elephant man. Oh, okay. Okay. Right? Eric Stoltz was an elephant man. Okay. Yeah. I absolutely loved him. He looked a little like my first boyfriend, a little bit of a ginger. And, yeah. First boyfriend or first husband? First boyfriend, but thank you for asking. He was also a small part in fast times at Richmond High. I believe he was one of the guys when he came in and he took his shirt off. He was one of the friends when he goes, hey man, no shoes, no shirt, no service or whatever. He was one of the buddies. I don't think any lines. Wow. And then say anything. Jerry McGuire. Singles. Masks. 26 years ago today, High Fidelity was released. John Cusack as a record store owner, Lisa Bonnet, one of his lovers. And Jack Black. Who plays his mother in that movie? You better get this right. Oh, no. She's one of our listeners. She's got a number. Really? Ellen Trilto? Nope. My mom doesn't have a number. Margaret. Oh, wow. John Cusack's mom in that movie. I thought we've talked about it before. When he calls home, she's just on the phone. I don't know if she's in a scene with him. I think she's, yeah, but she's in it. They filmed it in Chicago. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. It's got a good-sized part in that. I don't think I knew. I would have remembered that. She's there. She was in a couple movies that filmed in Chicago. One with Hallie Bari Weiss.

1:35:54

Um, one, she was in a couple, but, yeah. Wow. Isn't that cool? That's very cool. Mm-hmm. Clearly something. Very, very something. And Margaret's probably listening right now, isn't she? Well, Jimmy's probably listening. He'll play it back for her later. But, yeah, Uncle Jimmy's, Uncle Jimmy sent me something yesterday that I'm not going to share with you because I know this is the exact face she'll make. You'll go, oh, oh, and then you'll go. And you'll move it aside. Do you want to see it? No, no, not now. It had to do with lightning a certain part of your body. Remember we used to do the things? One of the phrases, just part of it was balloon knot. Oh. I mean, we had the things, but anyway. I don't need to know anymore. What? What is it? I was saying he sent me an ad. That had that, the lightning a certain part. Anyway, it was, but that's what it showed. Oh, boy. Never mind. We've digressed. Anyway, my Aunt Margaret was in High Fidelity, and she was wonderful. The lovely actress. That's a great movie. It is a great movie. Classic. Twelve years ago today, How I Met Your Mother aired its final episode. Did you ever watch that show? I didn't really. Not just a little bit. Quinn, did you watch that? I did, actually. And when we were talking about the Midwestern Goodbye is all I could think of, if anyone's ever seen it out there, is Marshall. is from Minnesota, I believe, and he goes back to visit his family at one point, and they're out, like, playing some hokey basketball game out in the backyard, and their mom's making a salad, and I think it's Lily or whatever the character's in there. He goes, oh, perfect. Finally something that's not, like, cheese and a ton of high fat, and she's making the salad, and it's like, so first you do a layer of mayonnaise, and then a layer of potato chips, and then another layer of mayonnaise. And so that's what I've been thinking about all morning. Did you watch the show when it aired live? I did not know. Maddie did. So, no, here's the thing. So the show was successful. Yeah. It was a top 10 show. Right. But it is one of the most successful. post shows in the history of television. Even like Seinfeld and the office. Right. And how I met your mother is in that category. It's crazy. And I've never seen it. I've seen it that way. I've seen it like how Big Bang Theory runs all the time. Yes. That's another one that's huge. Two and a half men runs all the time. Right. Um, office. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's one that I've never seen full through, but I think I watched like the first. five or six seasons, and then, like, have kind of seen the last handful. I forget how many there are. But I've never actually finished it, so I don't know how it ends. We don't know how he actually meant. No, I don't either. Yeah. Well, hang on. Nope. Do you want to know? Yeah. In the final episode where the mother's fate was finally revealed after Ted's kids encourage him to ask Aunt Robin out. What does that mean? Maybe it means Robin was their mom, who's one of the main characters, but...

1:38:59

I don't know. I don't either. Yeah. Show lasted nine seasons, but one of the most successful post-show runs in history. Interesting. And that makes sense. Everyone that I know outside, I think Maddie watched it, at least the end of it when it was actually on TV, and everyone else that I've known has watched it through streaming. Yeah, that's what they do. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Hey, I want to go back to Eric Stoltz for just a second because I just realized a fun fact, not fun, but he was originally the guy in Back to the Future. They shot five weeks with him. That I do remember. And they replaced him with Michael J. Fox. Because he said he was too stiff, too straight. Yeah. And he's also in Pulp Fiction. Yeah. How dare you not know that? Or did you know that? Is he the one with Honey Bunny? No. That's a different guy. I can't remember what he plays in. But Anaconda. All right. But, yeah. Television notes tonight, as we know what Quinn will be doing watching tonight. You got your double header on NBC, NBA action. Yeah, we sure do. Who's playing tonight? Actually, I don't know who the games are. Got the Rockets hosting the Knicks. The Rockets are from, hang on. Minnesota. Nope. Oklahoma? Nope. I don't know the Rockets. Houston. Oh, damn it, of course. Yep. And what was the other one? New York. Where are they from? Nets. No, the New York. Knicks. Knicks. There it is. Nickerbockers. Yep. That's the first game. The second game will be the L.A. Well, it's either the Lakers or. Oh, my God. The. The. Clippers. The Clippers. Yep, very good. That's who they're playing. And they're hosting the Portland Trailblazer. Okay, very good. You know that one. Don't miss that one. Back in the day, and I think all these teams are pretty, I don't know, the standings of the NBA. Knicks are pretty good, right? Yeah, Knicks are good. Houston's solid, but they're free falling right now, so they're plummeted down the Western rankings, so they're in kind of a tailspin. Clippers are okay, Portland's okay. Okay. Evening game doesn't intrigue me as much, but the first game should be good. Is it me or does it seem like there's a lack of hustle in the NBA? Well, here's the thing, Mals. Oh. We're at the perfect time because, yes, you are absolutely correct. But this is the time of the year. This is where it gets good because this is where if you're a basketball fan, you should watch through March Madness. You should stick with March Madness in college basketball. And now we're in like the last 10 to 15 games of the NBA season. So now it actually matters and their seating changes like pretty much every game. There are only that many left in the NBA. It happened so fast. And then we'll be in playoffs in mid-April. So we're almost done. So now they start trying a lot because now it matters for their seating. So the games are really good, like, pretty much starting a week or two ago. But now they start trying? Yes, they start trying a little bit more. So they make millions of dollars and not try early in the season. And at the end, they start trying. Is that what you're saying? Yeah, more or less.

1:42:02

You heard it here. We used to call back in the day, the Clippers were one of those terrible franchises. They were poorly run and they were always bad. Right. So we used to call them the slippers. That was always the name. They were just always, oh, playing the slippers and, you know. Your fun fact for you, sorry with the Clippers. What team were they originally? What did they start as? They were the San Diego. But what were they before they were in San Diego? Buffalo. Buffalo Braves. Oh my gosh. And they still occasionally wear the old Buffalo uniforms nowadays, which is fun. And who is the most famous Buffalo Brave player? Bob McAdoo, probably. Very good. There we go. Wow. Wow. That was fantastic. And Bob McAdoo later won an NBA title playing for the... Ooh, I actually don't know, Celtics. Lakers. Oh, right. Of course, yeah. Right. In the movie Anaconda, the guy is from Buffalo. Really? And he's like, hey, Jack Black is still living in Buffalo. And Paul Rudd has moved out to L.A. And he comes home to Buffalo. for his birthday. Amazing. And that's where they decide to remake Anaconda because they find an old Sasquatch movie that they made when they were kids. It reminds me of you and your brothers, the little videos that you made. That's probably who it's based off of. Yeah, he's like, come back to Buffalo, man. Come back to Buffalo. So they do they have like Buffalo shots? They don't really. They was just in the house. It was just kind of in the house. That's where Jack Black is. He's in Buffalo. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. That's what they grow up together, the whole group. And then. Paul Red comes home for the birthday, and he finds the old video, and then they're like, hey, we should do this and that. That's awesome. Well, now I've got to go watch it. Yeah. It's actually, you'll enjoy it. It's very fun. It's very fun. And then what happens on this show, or what is the show, watch what happens live? What is that? That is one of those things where people watch. things and then they comment, right? So they're watching videos of things and they're like, oh no, this happened. I think that's what it is. Do they watch movies or it just stuff? No, it's like YouTube videos and stuff. Anyway, I've never seen the show, but it always shows up as, you know, things to watch. It's on Bravo. But if ever there was a time to watch it, Amanda Pete and John Hamm will be on the show. Oh. So what does that mean that they are watching something and we're watching their reactions to watching something? Is that what it is? No. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm thinking of something. It's an interactive talk show that features guests from the world of entertainment. Yeah. Overview. Yeah, it's Andy Cohen. Oh. Overview. I don't think I ever knew that. Interactive talk show. Yeah.

1:44:47

Maybe I have the wrong thing. It's a talk show. It's just a talk show. People. And Eric Stoltz was the drug dealer in Pulp Fiction, by the way. Oh, yeah. He was great. Yeah. And then what happened? Well, he had to give her the injection. Yeah. Yeah. Guys, spoiler alert. Okay. You've had 25 years. Yeah. You've seen Pulp Fiction multiple times. No, he's never seen it. I've never seen it. Get it out. What is how? Throw this out. Really? It's been around my entire life and I've just, I have never seen it. Oh my gosh. I think it was a movie growing up. My parents probably didn't allow us to watch, obviously. For a good reason. Just something that I've never seen, but it is. I don't watch very many movies, but I have a list of movies, and it's right towards the top. So it's at the top by list, but it's a slow move through that list. We've got to go through March Madness. And the whole NBA season. The WMBA comes in during the summer. Oh, my God. And then football is right after. And you've got to list in the books with your girlfriend. I know. I'm booked. I'm booked people. Also, tonight you have all the NCIS shows. NCIS. NCIS. Origins, NCIS, and NCIS, Sydney. Thank you. Thank you, everybody. Very good. She got them all. Late night tonight, Jimmy Fallon has Cameron Diaz. Pretty good. What's she doing? Well, we're going to find out. You've got to watch the show tonight. I don't want to. On NBC. Molly, it's on NBC.

1:46:24

Zendaya will be on with Jimmy Kimmel, Nathan Lane, and Arsenio Hall will be on with Stephen Colbert, and Alexander Scarsguard. We'll be on with Seth Myers. So okay. You know, earlier we were talking about the Midwest Goodbye. Yeah. There's a comedian that does a whole bit on Midwest Goodbyes. Okay. So we'll play it right now. All right. Sounds like this. Now, there are several steps to a proper Midwest Goodbye. Everybody knows the first step. You slap your knee and say, well, by Spice. But you're not leaving. You're going to be offered a beer and giving the tour. A Midwest home tour goes something like this. Yeah, here's the house. Let's go check out the garage. You're like, Joe, why are we looking at your snowblower? It's July. Get back into the house where you will be offered the leftovers. And I know the cassero was so bad you had to put it plate face down in the garbage. So you get the leftovers. Then they waddle over to the cupboards and they pull out their Tupperware, which is just a used cool whip container. Then you got to walk over to the doorknob and twist it to leave. I don't know what it is about a doorknob in the Midwest, but as soon as you twist it, that is when the deepest, darkest secrets come out. Oh, you're leaving, huh? Well, before you go, I just want to ask you, have you ever wondered why your brother looks a lot like your uncle? That's funny. This is bit. That is really good. It takes a long time to say goodbyes there. Yes. Or you just do the Irish and then you say you just shout out. Oh, by the way, your uncle be your father. I'll go by. They're out. All right. I think that's all we can do, right? I think that's it. Anything else? Well, there's a lot of people that knew about the Eric Stoltz. I know. I don't know why I didn't get that. Mask. And. Play. Oh, yes. Oh, God. Oh. What? From the YouTube. Quinn's impression was of the Grinch. Yes. It was the Grinch. Beautiful. Thank you. I'm trying to think of what part I did, because I got real into it. What was I saying? There's all sorts of good. Dinner with myself. Can't cancel that again. Six o'clock, jazzercise. Seven o'clock slip slowly into madness. Stare deep. What else does he say? He's going through. Ebeneza Avenue, who? I hate you. Hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. Loathe entirely.

1:49:28

That was it. No, why isn't your camera on for that? Oh, shoot. Do it again. That was, that is amazing. Thank you. How do the people remember? Iceman 0-0-3-0. Oh, yes. From the text, from the YouTube text line. Yeah, Iceman. George Gervyn. Yeah, I used to have a poster of him in my. Did you? Yeah. I love that guy. There you are. Now you're on camera. Yeah, now I'm on camera after my impressions. Okay. Just one more time. Ebenezer Charlie who? I hate you. Something Arvac Arvigian who? Hate you. Hate, hate, hate, hate. Hate, hate. Double eight. Loathe entirely. See, now we got two people that you guys both do. Oh, that's very good. Man, we got a show now. Oh, this is going to be really good. Oh, I'm watching it back. This is awesome. And we're all clapping and cheering. That's good. Okay, all right. I need to turn that off. All right. We got to go, right. With a very busy day today. Oh, my goodness. Let's see what it's time for today. Ooh, sun breaths. Seated sphinx, no. So today, after I do my regular workout, I'm not going to slack on that. It's neck roll, chair punches, bridge pose, chair squat, chair warrior pose, side leg raises, and lotus pose. You're welcome. Besides that, they will, though. Um, I, uh, I, uh, I, uh, I am a, and I'm going to say, not say a great deal of pain. I'm going to say I'm a moderate deal of pain. Uh, my, my teeth are bothering me. That's why I'm kind of holding my face all day. But you're going to get fixed up special. We have a meeting here, which will be good. I'll use the gym here. No peeking. I'm going to use the chair in the gym and do the thing. Finish my book, start the new book. Okay. Then I have a 1.30 dentist appointment up on the hill. And then depending on what happens there, I'm not sure what that's going to involve. I'll either go home and need a nap or it's a quick fix and it's like, okay, here's some Tylenol, you'll be fine. It's going to heal itself. Everything's great. And then I'll go gamble before we give away the big car thing tonight. That's the, I feel rested in everything. It's just, it's fatiguing when you've got kind of a thing going on. And you could be tired from all the cherry yoga, too. It could be. Using muscle you haven't used in years. That's right. Actually, yesterday, when I did the first one of those cactus things, it went cracked. It's pretty good. Lotus. Hate, hate, double hate. A loat.

1:52:30

So anyway, that won't be out at the Northern Quest. Yeah, big giveaway night tonight. I think my can is going to come out too in June. Oh, good. Okay. It'll be a potty. Can he drink? Yep. Yeah. You're going to be his driver? Yeah, I think he'll tanked up. Yeah. He may Uber out because I might want to go out earlier so I can gamble a little. And for him, there's not a lot to do because, you know, not a lot to do. I suppose I could have gotten a hotel room, but then. Yeah. Anyway, that's it. What about you? I'll finish up here. We'll get the podcast up and loaded. And then we have a meeting. And then if it all works out, perfect world, I'm not normally a napper. But a power nap would probably be a good thing for me tonight. Because I know that the, you know, we're on our feet the whole night. And it'll be a full night. It'll be very exciting. Somebody's going to win either a car or $65,000 in cash. Plus another. I'll bet you there's another at least $15,000 that's given away, you know, in other prizes. Yeah. So if you're a... Camus Club member, we'll see out there at Northern Quest. We'll be out there starting around 545, 6 o'clock. And the specials, I think the specials start at like four or something? Maybe even, yes. And there's stuff going on before we get there. So you want to go early, get your name in the barrel, because then there's other drawings and stuff. And then we draw every 15 minutes. And if it's really fun, if you really want to be entertained, come and join us. It's right in your Kids Quest. That's where Price Central is. And watch Dave have to read the names. Oh, yes. The thing is, and actually you've been pretty lucky at the last few. The last two. There was the maybe first one that we ever did. There's a virtual barrel, and the name comes out on a little ticket. And you only have a split second to really read it. And there was a series of events where Dave got every single difficult name. And then Ken and I would get George White and Linda, you know. Smith. Smith, and then Dave would get just a bunch of consonants. X, A, G, N, L-Q-M-Y. And then that became a bit. Like, people were all watching to see what name that I would get. And then sometimes the name would come up, and there'd be an eruption of laughter, and I couldn't even attempt the name. But the good news is the names are on display, too, so you can, you know, you don't have to count on us. But it is very, very fun to watch it unfold, especially if there's a series of those. But tonight maybe we'll get into all the things because we kind of take turns. So anyway, yeah, so 545. Yeah. And then 12 hours from 545 will be back here, co-hosting the news with Sam and Kallai. Yeah, I'm going to try to get here a few minutes earlier tomorrow. I don't know what happened today. I was right on schedule. I know exactly when I have to leave my house.

1:55:30

Maybe I hit a few lights. I don't know. It's weird. But I'm a few minutes earlier, I think, for tomorrow. Back time it. Back time it. All right. Thanks for being with us, everybody. Have a wonderful day. We're back tomorrow. Same situation. You'll see us on with Sam and Kallai, Nonstop Local, The Morning News on Channel 6. And then we'll have our show. Quinn is here. You can see us on YouTube. You can hear us through the nonstop local app. Everything is great. Everything is wonderful. Tomorrow is April Fool's Day. Yeah, be careful. Be very aware. I'm glad we're not giving away the car on April Fool's Day. That's right. Because then people would think maybe they didn't really win it. So, yeah. All right. Have a great day, everybody.
