It's the Dave and Molly Show. And look, everybody, she's back. Hi. She's back. Bonjour. Bonjour. That's all I know. Wee, we. Wee. Wee. When I was there, I only, I said the few things I know how to say in French. And the people go, oh, you only know how to complain in France. Because I said, I was tired. And I said, I was hungry. He goes, oh, only complains from you. That's all I learned. Sorry. I'm sick. I'm tired. I don't know. But anyway, I'm hungry. But you're here. Yes. Yes. World traveler, Molly Allen. Oh, my gosh. Look at her. Yeah, yesterday was a doozy. It's what they call in the travel world, a doozy. I was so delirious yesterday that in my delirium, I said to Ken, he's picking me up the airport. I go, do you have my Northern Quest, my loyalty card? Because I need to get my free prize. And he goes, well, I said, drive my car because it's there. I know I put it away. And he said, I didn't see it. It's not on the dining room table. I just know it. He said, I couldn't find it. He said, I'll get a new card when I get there. So we go right from the airport yesterday. We go to Northern Quest and I have to go get a new card. I'm like, I need a card. I need my Paris Hilton bag. So I played a few games, and I was delirious. I'd had some wine on the plane. Oh. And it was like midday. I didn't even know what time it was, but I went in, played a couple games I never played. He sat outside in the sun. He's just like, she needs to get grounded. She needs to go back to her church and stuff. And I got my bag, and then we went home, and I was like, I...

2:38

I have to nap. I have to nap. And I was out. But it was so weird. It was like, you know, the casino is the grounding place, you know? And I know it seems silly, but I wanted my prize. So that's what I did. You earned that prize. I sure did. And I was very happy to have it. But anyway, I'm glad to be back. And, you know, I feel better than I look, I think. I feel pretty good. I think I went to bed at 8 o'clock last night. We caught up on Survivor. I had a teeny bit of a nap, but not a lot. And I got the right amount of sleep. And I think I've reset pretty well. Okay. Yeah, it's hard. Tomorrow will probably be the real test, right? Yeah, maybe, yeah. But for now, everything is fine. And everything's fine here. It seems like everything's working just fine. What's the problem, guys? Everything working? Are we even on? Which are we on? Are we on? I think we're on. We should be on. Pretty sure we're on. Are we on audio? Are we on YouTube? Are we on just audio right now? Yeah, just audio right now. We're having the same YouTube issue. There's some tech thing that needs to be updated on this computer for us to connect now. So. A little bit of above my pay grade of understanding what that means and what it is. But we're hopefully going to have it fixed by tomorrow. So I just want to say this because yesterday I was listening. And I'm going to answer a few questions you boys had. I was at LaGuardia Airport. I was listening to the Dave and Molly show. Because you can. Because, yeah, worldwide. So, one, the decorations are in the bottom drawer, just like I told you. Oh, well, I don't know. Is there any of any need for them? I don't know if we need them. I said, Dave, I said, Dave, I'm putting these all in this bottom drawer so that you know where they are. And you said, okay. Thumbs up, malls, and I said, okay-dokey. That doesn't sound like me. Two, stop giving away my money, Quinn. I heard that. And three, I want an entire cake, not a cupcake. I want an entire cake. If I have to bring it myself, I will. Okay, okay. And I want Kevin Parker as far away from this project as possible. I don't eat him in the mix, okay? If he wants to bring some Dutch bros, he can. So those are the things as I'm listening. I said was because Ken was repairing the screens, which I think is so cool. My first text said, I know what I want for my birthday. Then it said, fix my screens. So it was like a, I was texting in like a listener. And I was like, and I know there's a delay. So I'm frustrated. Just like, it's just like our listeners. I'm like, you got to hear what I say now. Damn it. And then I had to get on the plane. So. Anyway, I was having fun listening to you guys yesterday. That was kind of fun. Yeah. Yeah, except you, what are you doing with my money? What is that? You're just like adding $1,000 questions? What is going on? Well, I thought it would be fun for our listeners. Oh, it's fun, all right? I'm sure. I was fun for the listeners. There's a rush for me, I'll tell you that. I know. I was like,

5:34

I tuned in just right in time for the showdown. And I'm like, oh, look at the guys. They're like, yep. And you're like, Quinn, you got any money questions? Oh, you bet I have two of them today. They're both a thousand dollar questions. What is that? And then I think somebody said, hope Molly doesn't hear. I was like, I am right here. Actively listening as I say. Yeah, I said, what the hell? Those were my text. It was, I want my screens fixed. The things are in the drawer. What the hell? I didn't see that you sent that the thing that was in the drawer. Yes. Anyway. But we believe you. It was very funny yesterday. It was very entertaining, listening. Here we go. Yeah, I said, I know what I want from Earth. Did I fix my screen? What the hell? In the drawer, I want a whole cake. Those were all my text in a row. It makes you feel better. We got the paperwork done. Yes. And I heard you leading. Here's what I also heard, because if you're just sending a screenshot of the thing, it's easier. And Quinn's like, now, do you want me to send it to you in the mail or you want me to just send you a screenshot? How easy is that, folks? That is so easy, folks. And then she goes, oh, well, that would save you a stamp. Yes. Oh, that will save us a stamp. You boys. And that's the stuff that she heard. Oh, my God. Wait till she finds out about all the other stuff. All the promises that have been made on my behalf. No, it was very entertaining. And I heard, yeah, Ken was in. His screen thing was very funny because I'll tell you what, don't underestimate a guy who can fix your screens. Oh, yeah. He could have a side business. It could be Ken Screens Shop. And he could just do it right in his garage. He lifts it up. People bring screens. He fixes them up, hands them over. Yep. Bob's your uncle. I think that's a great idea. Yeah, it really is. So, yeah. I will tell you this one story. So. So, you know, we're flying with my uncle, and it's fantastic. But all fairy tales have to come to an end at some point. So, and, and the stories will come out in the weeks and months or whatever to come. But. We were traveling in a very nice fashion, of course. We were being very, very well taken care of. And on the last flight coming home, we flew on this jet that can go 12 hours nonstop. So there was several of us on there, and we got to do this nonstop situation. So it's like seven and a half hours niece to New York, which is great. Then the plan is I'm going to head off on my own and have a shuttle take. Well, we were all in a van. So I was still with my mom. They dropped me at LaGuardia. at this hotel, really nice hotel right next to the Guardia. But, you know, first thing when you get in, you've been the, and then it's like, how you doing? You shuttle to you. You're like, oh, you just get slammed back into the U.S. and, like, the U.S., and it's hot and muggy and in New York, and everybody's a little grumpy. So, but, you know, I get there to this nice little hotel, and it's a Marriott offshoot, but it's, they have shuttle service and it's great. So I put my stuff, I get help, I put my stuff in the room.

8:36

Go down to the bar, of course, get myself a drink, go outside so I can, of course, have a smoke. By the way, in France, you can smoke everywhere. Really? Everywhere. And I'm just going to make this thing about it. Did you take advantage of it? Hell yeah. Yes. So even outside of our little room, we had our own balcony, and I could smoke there. Of course, my mom's like, Bobby. No, no, you know, but there are only three of us on the whole trip that do. And so you'd find the three of us together. Anyway, I have a theory. I think Americans should worry less about secondhand smoke and wine and more about YouTube and hot Cheetos. Because that is what's rotting our kids from the inside out both ways. And in the France, it's like you're sitting in an outdoor cafe. There's a woman midday having a glass of wine with her eight-year-old son is smoking. Oh, oh, darling. And they see fine. Wee, we, we're fine. So anyway, that was just my thought. I was like, you know, American kids are getting rotted both ways. And yet we're all worried about, oh, there might be a waft of smoke going by their nose, you know. We all were fine with that. Yeah, I'm fine. I didn't turn out. It doesn't wrong with me. We're fine. So, anyway, I get dropped off, and then I'm on my own for the first time in a week. And, you know, when you're with John in a big group, you have a handler. There's always somebody telling you where to go. There's always like, okay, we have to be here. We have to be here. Well, all of a sudden. I'm free. I'm in the wild. Unchained. Unchained. And I have to make my own decisions for the first time. And spend my own money, by the way, for the first time in a week. So it was so much less expensive for me to be in the south of France than here with my habits. I'm like, this is great. So I go down to the bar and you're like, how you doing? What do you need? You know, like, oh, well, I guess I'll have an old fashion. All right. You know, give me a card. You want to start a tab? And I'm like, I don't do tabs. I have been on the dole for the last week. I don't spend my own money. Here, here, but keep it. So I do that. I go up to the room. And I start watching the Marty Short thing, which was really good. Yes, yes, it's very good. But it's the first time I haven't been on like, you know, million-dollar sheets in a week. So my sensitive skin just can't take this normal hotel life. So I didn't sleep as well as I usually do. How the commoners live. Yeah, but my whole plan is because I was lucky enough I had a first-class ticket. So my whole plan, I'm scouting out. I'm like, oh, the lounge, the lounge at LaGuardia. I'm going to go to the Delta Lounge at LaGuardia. And then I have a two-hour layover in Minneapolis and I'm going to take advantage of the... lounge and I'm so excited. And I'm all dressed up because I was dressed up for the plane before. I throw the same outfit on, but then I have my grandmother's pearls with me. And now I have to check a bag. It's not going to stay with me on the flight. So I wanted them on my body, so I looked like an idiot. I looked like mini pearl. I had a big hat. I got my pearls on, and I'm like do to do at the LaGuardia airport. So I'm all excited. I check in. Here's the weird thing. I didn't have a ticket ticket. I just had an email. And I go to line up, and this guy comes to me, and he says, do you have your ticket? I said, no. He said, please, the red room. And I said, well, and it was Sky Priority. And I said, well, I mean, I have a ticket. He goes, please, ma'am, the red room, the red room. He knew. Facial recognition, I don't know. He knew I had a first class ticket, and I didn't show any. All I did was walk in the airport. And he sent me to sky priority. Isn't that weird? I thought that was super weird. So, I mean. Red room. Red room. Red room, man, red room. So I go there and I get my ticket. And so then I've got a giant, giant suitcase and hanging bag, right? And I go to the elevator to make my way up from the red room up to go where I'm going to go check in the bag. Well, actually, this is when I first walked in. So there's this escalator that is huge. I go to the elevator. It doesn't work. It's not working. So I think, okay, I'm going to try it. I'm going to try it try it try and I'm going to try it try and get on the escalator, but I don't turn it. flat, I try to get up with it when it's heading this way. Well, of course, I lose it, and the whole thing goes tumbling. Oh, no. Tumbling down the escalator. And now, now I'm trying to get down to it, and I can't, and it's going, thunk, don't, don't, don't, and it's like, and it's like, just bashing around. And I'm like, and there's nobody. No, no people. So then this couple, I know, this couple comes up, and they've got a stroller, and the woman's got a bag, they both have bags, and I'm like, Does anybody want to help me? I can't get to it. I'm so glad nobody filmed it. They may have it filmed somewhere. It was like a perfect YouTube video. I looked like an idiot. So this woman helps me. She gets it on, but all of a sudden, she's on. She goes, oh, I guess I'm going up, and then she hops back up. So she saves me. So here I'm a little rattled, and then they sent me to the red room. So maybe they saw me coming. Maybe they're like the mini parole lady is. Anyway. So. I go to the lounge and all, you know, everybody who gets to go to the lounge has an attitude on him. And I have adopted the attitude because I too will be going to the house. Oh, you're in the red room. I'm in the red room. I got my first class ticket. Got my passport. And, oh, of course. It'll take you here. It'll take you here. It'll take you here. It'll take you here. So I go to scan it. And he goes, and the card, ma'am. And I said, the card. He said, oh, you have to have the card. He said, you have to have the card. I said, what kind of card? He said, well, the Delta, you know, you have to be. Because it's not just a Delta lounge, it's a Sky Lounge, and a lot of airlines buy into it. But Delta only lets you in if you have one of their parts. Oh, no. Did they kick you out of the Red Broom?

14:44

They never let me in Sky Lounge. And I was so, I was like, do you see these pearls? Worst trip ever. Terrible. It's a catastrophe. But I felt, here's what I felt. I was disappointed, but I felt like such a jerk because I was just like, yes, we are in line. That's right. We're all going to the thing together. And they know they were looking me over like, you're trying a little hard with the pearls. Like, what are you doing? Trying to look important, my big hat. And so I get rejected. And I'm like, I said, really? I said, but I have a first class ticket. He said, no, ma'am, you have to be part of the club. You've got to be the Sky Club. You've got to have the... And I'm thinking, the person who bought me this ticket certainly has one of these cards. He's just not present at the moment because he's doing other things. So I quickly recovered from that. And I thought, okay, it's fine. So I go and find this little cafe to eat. And the LaGuardia airport is fantastic. It's beautiful. Who would have thought? Who would have thought? My son is getting ready to come back. And he says, I like LaGuardia the best. Yeah. I agree. It's been years since I've been through there. I hadn't been through there. I'd been through JFK, which is not great. And Newark isn't that bad just, but anyway, it was, it was beautiful. So I sat and listened to music and stuff, and then I got on. And I was in the first class area, which was really nice. And I always think. Oh, you guys with your, oh, I'm going to get on first and blah. I got on first and I loved it. You watched everybody pass you by. I did. And then she said, would you like anything to drink before we take off? I said, I would love a cup of coffee. Thank you. And I had a cup of coffee and I had my little water. And then I watched, this was the best. I had my breakfast, my quiche with a croissant and some sparkling wine and watched, I watched Ron Burgundy. Oh, yes. Anchorman's always great. Anchorman. And I was like, this is the best. I had my noise canceling headphones with the other headphones in it. There's a movie playing. I'm having breakfast at, you know, 40,000 feet. This is the greatest thing ever. So then I get to Minneapolis and I'm thinking, I'm not going through the whole lounge thing. I cannot go through that again. All I have is a piece of paper and these people, you know, so I didn't even try in Minneapolis. But I mostly just walked around. I listened to the show when I was in Minneapolis. That's because I got there. It was the perfect thing. That's when I found out I owe thousands of dollars when I get home. And I was like, the decorations. And I heard you're like, I bought a bunch of decorations last year. That way we can. And I'm like, yes, and I saved them. They're in the drawer. I showed you. Now which drawer? The bottom drawer. I knew I'd get her one more time. And there's more upstairs. And he goes, I don't know. We had to move. I don't know where they are. Well, the rest are upstairs at our old office, which I think I told you about you. But that's okay. So anyway.

17:28

So the flight then I watched Wicked for Good. And I had already pre-order. I got an email that said, your menu has landed. I got to pre-order my lunch for my second flight. Oh, wow. And it was like a canalone thing that I ordered. And it was funny because we're on John's plane. And I told him, I go, thank you. I said, thank you for, I said the first class thing. I said, that's huge. I don't get to do that. It's awesome. I said, and I ordered my food. He goes, ooh, what did you order? And I said, the canolone. He said, well, what were your choices? And I looked up the email. He goes, well, let me see that. And he said, ooh, meatball. He said, I think the chicken would have been a better choice. I said, but there's a chance of it being dry. He said, oh, I can see that. I said, then they had a shrimp and grits. He goes, no, no, no, stay away from the seafood. That's not good on a public plane. So he was very concerned. I love that he's a food guy. Oh, yeah. He was very concerned about what I was going to have on my thing. And then really, like, questioning my choice. I said, I guess it's not too late to change it. But I gave him my reasonings, and I made the right choice. The guy next to me had the meatball thing, and I think I made the right choice. It was delicious. And then a glass of red wine, right? Yeah, of course. Yeah. And now, hurtling through the air towards Spokane, I'm delirously tired, and I got wine on board. So by the time, Ken picks me up, and I'm like, I ran into a couple of nice listeners. Rhonda and her husband, they were on their way to take their son to the children's hospital because they had an appointment. So she said hi. And then a couple other people. But they were way in the back, right? I mean, you were in the first class where I could see all of you near dwells, get back there. I just came from the red room. I was kicked out, but that's where it was. And I've already pre-ordered my meal. It's been checked by John Travolta. And it's even been augmented for my needs later. Did you do any of that? Well. They were in the airport, but what was is I was like the eighth person off the plane. So obviously I had been first pass. Hello, darling, my pearls. I did run into my friend, my friend Karen, who works for Delta. And I'm really like the 10th person off of the plane. And she goes, oh, hello, she's German. She goes, hello, you're so fancy. I said, I know. Yes, I was that person. And I was also that person who, when everybody was coming in, I was like just very involved with my phone. I was very like, I didn't really look up because I thought if I look up, especially the flight to Spokane where I might know people, you know, it might be friends of mine going, what is your outfit? What do you wear? Why do you pearls on? What are you doing? So I was very involved like, yeah, it's a business. It's business. The company paid for it. It is fun. Here's what I realized, though. When I got to choose my seat, they sent me the thing. And it's like,

20:19

One A through 10D, right? There's 10 seats there. And I picked the fourth row on the window, the first one, and the other ones were open. And then I've picked the fifth row, like the last row in the window the last time. And I realized that being in the fifth row, you're like served last. And I actually had the gall. me, had the gall to be like, oh, what? Oh, oh, the whore. The humanity. I'm like, why did I pick row five? And you showed up for work today? I know. I pick row five. I'm like, I'm an idiot. I could be eating by now. And it smelled so good. I'm like, but at least bring the wine. What did it happen? How is I going to take for the wine? Yeah. It's funny how you become accustomed, and I'm thinking, how, and I'm like, those poor bastards back there. I was everything I hate about because I always thought, well, if I'm probably first because I'll still get on last. Hell, when they're like, zone one, I'm like, that's me. Everybody, I'm zone one. What's everybody else's zone? I prefer zone one. And they're taking bags. They're like, we might not be able to fit all the overhead bags. Oh, I'll have my own bin. I can take whatever I want. I was being that person. I tried to be humble, but inside, I was giddy like a little kid, but also just a little pompous, just a little, like. God, what's everybody else doing? And also disappointed in my C choice because I had to get fed less. Damn it. Well, except A and B became before C. So 5D is like the last serve. So if you ever follow your first class, don't go 5D. You'll wait forever. Right. Yes, forever.

22:12

I was having a gradual time. So then I'm eating my brownie. I'm like, yes, I'll have another glass of wine. It's 11 a.m. What am I doing? So I'm having sparkly wine and wine. Ken picks me up and I am delirious. He can see it. He goes, oh, in my eyes, like, hi. And I don't know what I was thinking like that I, originally he was working, but he heard his back. So he was off. Originally, I was going to have to get myself home somehow. Not dry. I wouldn't have had wine if I was getting myself home. I would have been more careful. Well, she didn't even have a car there, did you? No, but I was going to have my friend pick me up. I was planning on being mobile for the rest of the day. Like, able to go to the store, able to go to the casino myself and all that. So then I talk him into the casino thing. And I don't even remember being there. I got my pearls on. I got my hat on. I'm just cruising through. getting my card. And I did get my Paris Hilton bag, which the Paris Hilton bag I got right before the trip was this hanging cosmetic bag. And I used it. I loved it. It was perfect. So, yeah, there were a lot of ridiculously decadent things involving things like caviar and like, did you eat all the cavi? Did you not save any of the? Like, what words are you using right now? You don't have, you don't get to do that. So anyway, it was an amazing trip. But then last night we got home and we sat out on the deck for a little while. And I first of all, I took a nap. I had to take a short nap. I did that. Then. Ready to put a little spin on your day? Then check out Chumba Casino's new online social casino game, Ryan Seacrest, 10K Ways. It's free and packed with 10,000 ways to play. Only at Chamba Casino. No purchase necessary. VGW Group, void where prohibited by law. CTs and Cs, 21 Plus, sponsored by Chumba Casino. We watched Survivor, caught up on Survivor. Now, tonight's the finale. Oh, that's a sudden. Wow. Yeah. And I don't know that I have it in me to stay up for the finale. We're going to have to watch it like tomorrow night maybe. But I don't want any spoilers. No spoilers. And then the gown situation, so the gown situation of the night of, you know, it's the Cannes Film Festival and John and Ella and the beautiful Olga. Oh my God, Olga, don't get me started on her. I kept saying, I go, it's just so sad. What's she going to do? She's so ugly. And our family's like, I know. But she's a nice person. She's very nice. She is, was Miss Germany. and is in the movie, and she's still a model. So she's like, well, I have to go. They hired me to do this runway thing tomorrow. So I have to go do that. But she's so sweet. So it's, and then Little Clark, Ella, Kelly, who's the lead in it, John. They're all doing the red carpet. Well, the family is being sort of taken to a different area. But we couldn't watch the red carpet. We were just waiting.

24:59

And so we have one picture, I think. And I have one picture where my boobs are completely sideways. I look like, because I'm like this. So it's like nice gown. Why didn't you get an even? It was just so. I didn't get any good shots of myself in the gown. That was the whole premise. It was like, got to have the gown. Well, it turns out it didn't really matter. But so then we're late getting into the theater. And they do a retrospective on John. is the best I've ever seen. It was like four minutes, and it went through everything. And it made me want to rewatch Hairspray. I forgot how great he was in Hairspray. And it went through, like, all this stuff. Then the lights come up, and our family's still trying to file in. I mean, we are the ones that were late getting into the theater to watch the thing. Then they give him the award. Then they show the movie. Then he does a little bit of a talk back. I mean, it was really. And then we all go off to the... The hotel, the cap. So that night, that event was just the him event, right? There wasn't other stuff. But there was. Oh, yeah, there's other stuff because at the film festival, you know, they have film after film after film. This was the big theater, but they allotted a certain amount of time. But then they had to move to the next thing. They have things all the way through, like sometimes midnight showings, and so this was part of it. But that award, so I think Parvesterizan and Steven Spielberg are getting that award, and then this was, they always do a surprise award, and he had no idea. And he was getting that. As you can tell, by the look on his face. He was like, you know, he had no idea. So it was so cool. And Ella looks so stunning. I mean, everybody, everybody was great. But the family, we were just hanging out at this beautiful hotel with kind of, we'd get a text and say, oh, John wants you to come to this hotel and have some dinner. Okay, we'll do that. Other than that. Like, it was a free-for-all. Yeah. We just got to do whatever we wanted. So on the night of the big event where he gets the award and they show the movie and everything, what happens? Do you guys all meet up? Later. Yeah, he had a private sort of party at the, at his hotel, which is the famous Eden Rock Hotel de Cap, which is where they do the big AIDS benefits. Where we stayed last time. It's gorgeous. And it's iconic. They did the 007 stuff there. And I mean, it's pretty cool. But yeah, that was that was a party. The first that we got there, he had, he came to our hotel and we did a thing. So I didn't see a lot of them until the flight home. And then we got to chat. But he was busy. He was doing press all day. I mean, he's there working. And so now they're in New York. So he was on Fallon last night. And I got it and watched this morning. I think they're on the Today Show today. And then they do the Kelly Clarkson show at some point.

27:42

And then he'll have a premiere. The premiere in New York will just be his movie, and the premiere in L.A. will just be his movie. It's different than this was just part of the thing. And what's the total, what's the runtime of the film? It's an hour. Oh, is it an hour? Yeah. Oh. Yeah. Yeah, but it sort of falls in between. I thought it was like 47 minutes or something. Mm-mm. Okay. And it's weird it falls in between the short and the... Regular. So it's kind of in this weird zone, you know. But Apple is so excited. And I saw the previews were showing like last night during the Fallon show. They had these great previews. I saw, yeah. They ran the, I watched the clip of him. And then like the next commercial was the trailer or commercial for the film. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's pretty cool. He's so sweet. He's so generous. Oh my God. Our whole family was there and treated just so beautifully. And then he had. other friends, other people who are producers and, you know, makeup people and promotions people. And just every single person was so kind to us and so good to us. And it's the best experience I've ever had in France. I know it sounds like a weird sentence. But when I was a kid, you know, you backpack, you go, or you're with him, but you don't get treated right. But the people at this hotel, it was kind of a boutique hotel, only 35 rooms. So we took up... 15 or 20 of them. So it was almost like it was just us there. But every morning we'd go and have breakfast in the breakfast room. And I bring my mom her cappuccino to the room so she could relax. And then I'd go back to the breakfast room. It was fun. That's so fun. Yeah. We swam a little. We couldn't go in the ocean. There were jellyfish. Jellyfish everywhere. And I'll post some pictures later of the walk that we did. Because you're on the Mediterranean. It's just stunningly beautiful. And the weather was kind of like here, just that 60s, you know. Um, just blestery clouds. And so it was a whirlwind. But yesterday, I mean, I really had no way. I was not. I was looking around my house. And then Ken put up all these streamers and it's a welcome home sign. But he ran out of M. So he wrote welcome home, golly. So that was what I came home too. But I and the dog was so excited. So, um. Anyway, today, today I'll get my house cleaned up and I got to hire somebody to do my lawn. If somebody knows a good lawn service, yeah. Yeah. I need that. Oh, yeah. Here's a picture. Oh, there's a picture of me. I just, I'm looking at the, from your... Yeah, how did Uncle Jimmy get that picture? Yeah. And there you are, and you're looking very proud. I'm proud. I was very, very proud. I don't know how he got that picture. That's weird. Oh, maybe on the streaming or something, and he screenshot it. Yeah, it looks like a screenshot, maybe of the event. Oh, that's cool. I don't know. Oh, yes. Oh, yeah. I was hearing things about you giving more of my money away. Yes.

30:49

Yes. Yeah, Quinn, I mean, I didn't have anything. I mean, I tried to be really good while you were gone. But, I mean, Quinn, I mean, he just, I don't know, what he was thinking. I'm with you, Molly. I'm not, I'm a, yeah, I mean. Yes. Well, you know, we have people expect Molly to be giving away money. Oh, yeah. I didn't want them to be disappointed when they came to the showdown. Oh, I just, I got a little carried away. It happens as the best of us. I understand. That's fine. I understand. It's a couple of units. Mm-hmm. Yeah. You know, the good thing is, is you'll have plenty of your own money that you saved up for all my birthday surprises. That's right. Hey, speaking of birthday, we need to know where the decorations are. Yeah. Do you, because you... This is why they were in a drawer somewhere, but I don't remember. Yeah. I just want to say... She said the drawer, but she didn't say which drawer. I don't know where this stuff is. Oh, my God. And I want to thank you for... Oh, yes. Now, we, Quinn and I decided while you were gone, you deserve. So this is something that we picked out, especially for you. You should have saved it for my birthday. Well, this is your pre-birthday present. This is all the stuff from the golf room. Well, I mean, it just happens to be. I mean, but we picked all this out. Exclusity for you. I get so thirsty sometimes. Yeah, see, we got some of your water in there. And then the rain up. Oh. And I want to tell you this, look at this. Wow, thanks, you guys. This is the whole goodie bag. I don't think we've ever had such a nice goodie bag situation. No, that's good. It's pretty awesome. No golf tournament has. Yeah. I really appreciate it. And I did mention this on the air, but I've been out to the resort a couple times since our tournament. Yeah. And. they're still talking about the tournament. They just, they, they, they, I mean, they do a ton of tournaments. Yeah. And they even said that. So we do a lot of these. But you, your group, you just need to know, your group was so great. That is. All the people I said, well, I believe, I think we have the best listeners and people were very happy to be out there. And, and, you know, we did have a perfect weather day. We did. So that, you know, we got lucky with that. But he said, aside from that, he said, The spirit of your thing. So that was wonderful. Well, and I want to say this about the resort. So, you know, there was a lot going on up until the time we left. And I was in charge of the spreadsheet. And I am not a paperwork person. I'm not a spreadsheet person. I was having quit help me. I just, but I took it on, and I thought I had everything fine. And then a couple of guys show up, and they don't recognize who's in their group. And I have completely screwed up. Oh, no. So. There's two guys missing, like just missing. And I knew I saw them at one point because I recognize the names. And I just thought, okay, I'm going to go fall on my knees and beg to have them fix it. So I get to Andy and I told them what happened. I said, I so, well, first it. First I copped to it and I go, I mean, Quinn did something. I don't know. I mean, that's what I like. You take full responsibility for somebody else's mistake. That's when you step up. That's what real leaders do. Thank you. Yeah. True leadership. Yes. You acknowledge who was at fault? And then you say, no, I'll take. But I mean, I did tell them I wanted them to help me. So it's my fault, really, but it's really their fault. So I'm like, Andy, I said, I totally, I don't know where it went. And I said, but we only have 30 teams. He said,

34:04

That's true. He said, but they need a caddy. Ready to put a little spin on your day? Then check out Chumba Casino's new online social casino game, Ryan Seacrest 10K Waves. And I was like, oh, no, because they had just finished another one. Well, somehow miraculously, not only did they fix everything, get everybody there, got another caddy, and saved me. And I was so relieved because I thought, I totally screwed up with like, I have to go, bye. Okay, good luck over there. So anyway, they were very flexible and they're super nice, and they helped very much. But when you guys, when I left, I left and I screamed through my neighborhood, picked up my friend Steve, he jumped in my car, he drove me out, got to come on, see the plane and everything. Everybody's having cocktails, so I catch, I'm like, okay, they all started without me. And then he took my car back to the neighborhood, which was great. And then within an hour and a half of me leaving you, we were. In the air, pretty much. It was crazy. And then I think I told you we stopped in Gander overnight, and that's where they did. That's where a lot of people stayed 9-11. That was super cool. Those people were so nice to us. So that was fun. And then Shannon, we had to make another stop and then into France. But it was a whirlwind. I was thinking like, they woke up this morning. We did a show. Yeah. We did the golf tournament. And now here I am. And it was, I mean, the cool thing was, too, when we landed there, we were there for like an hour or a half. And while we were off the plane, they made our beds. My life is ridiculous. But today, I'm going to sweep up dog hair and go to Grandparents Day at the middle school. So, you know, it happens. But. Anyway, thanks for covering for me and for everything. So it was good. Well, it was kind of like you were here. A lot of money got given away. That was great. Paperwork got completed. Paperwork was done. Decorations were found. Did you find them? Were they? Well, apparently, Molly never told us, but there was this bottom drawer. Okay. Yeah, she never tells us this stuff. Larry's. Hi, Larry. So let me ask you this. Of the four. days that you had to maybe do paperwork. How many days did you actually have to do paperwork? How many days did you... I had to do one day of paperwork. Because we had two texters. Adam from Maryland didn't even want his. He gave me the gift card, so I got a gift card out of the deal. Oh, my God. Everybody's happy. So I did one day of paperwork. It was grueling and taxing, but we got it done. Okay. And then. Spreadsheets filled out. Okay. Hey. Better than my spreadsheet ability. I think that was everything. Well, that's good. That's good. You guys fared okay. And then you had Parker in?

36:57

Yep. And Ken and... Boy, I'm trying to think it was multiple days. We had Haley. Yeah, Haley. Yeah, Haley. And my daughter, Christy was in. Yeah, that was super fun. Very popular segment. Did she go meet the lady from the... Yeah. She did. Is that cool? Mm-hmm. Yeah, she loved that. From remarkably bright creatures. Yeah. That was a lot. There was some moving parts to that, but it all worked out. Um... So, you know, right before we left, I read, listened to the book, then watch the book, right? First night we're in France, we all sit down to order dinner. And the person next, I'm not, I'm not going to say their name because. Oh. What are the octopus? It was a meal involving octopus. And then they said, well, can I just get all octopus? And they said, no, the chef won't let you do that because I guess that's a popular order. And they're sitting on the plate next to me. It's a tentacle. Oh. It was really hard. And I didn't want to be judgy. I don't want to be that person. So I just said, yeah. First I said, I cannot. Then I went, just the texture is weird for me. I didn't want to be, I didn't want to inhibit them and make them feel bad. But it was hard to look at it because I was thinking. Oh, Marcellus. Yeah. Marcellus. I was sad. It was very sad. But went in France. My favorite, one of my favorite days was we went into Antib, which is a little town. And I said, I don't feel like shopping. I think I told you guys this. I have a picture. I said, I just want to sit down and have a really good piece of pizza. They have the best pizza there. It's just so good. I want a piece of pizza and a glass of wine. And I just want to sit here. And so I did. I sat there. And as I did, it was a pizza that big and no cutting. So I cut myself a slice. Then our friend Chris stops by. Then our friend Betta stops by. Then my aunt stopped by. My mom. I fed everybody. It was like, it was perfect. It was so perfect. I loved it. I love sitting there because I didn't really want to shop. You know, there's nothing to buy, really. I mean. Just charge it to the room. It's like, well, it's a free of room. I want to spend my own money. I don't know. I didn't want to have to spend my own money on stuff. I think it was 18 euro for a huge pizza and a glass of wine, which is like $18, maybe $20, which that... The euro is equivalent, very close in... It was 117, I think. I think... I think it costs. Look, we're stronger, right? Our dollar is stronger? It was hard to figure because then it switched while we were there. But it was 117 was the exchange. But I know when I changed $100 at this place, I only got like $89. So I think ours was weaker. Oh, it is. Yeah, that would mean it would be weaker. Yeah. Yeah, one euro is a $1.16 American. Oh, so that means.

See terms and conditions, 21 plus. I don't know how to figure it out. I think I got ripped off at this little place. And I said, I'm going to go to first class lounge. Oh, that's right. You're not in first class lounge either. Red room for me. Here I go. Walking with my people. Oh, I've been denied. I guess I'm not allowed to the red room. And the people were going, so the red room was where I got my ticket. But the lounge, the sky lounge is where I was not allowed. And the people who were in line, I was so cocky. I was like, I know. I know. I'm one of you. I understand. We've got her first class tickets, and I'm so exhausted. I just can't wait to get in there, relax. And then I was sent away, and I know the people were laughing at the girl in the pearls who couldn't get in. Yeah, that's why I didn't try in Minneapolis, because I just thought, I can't do that. And then I almost bought myself some twins gear in the airport because they're my team. And then I thought, well, why did I do that? you know, I get it on Amazon. That's silly. So. All in all, yesterday was, it was, I could, I could fly forever, like that. You know, you get a movie, you got food, wine in front of you. I can do that forever. I loved it. It was beautiful. That's fun. So, we didn't really see any other stars or anything. There was, I think John did it certain things, but where we were, and I heard Van Diesel was there, but we didn't run into him. And so, really, it was just us. Just us. That's okay. That's not too bad. The girl with the pearls. Denied the red room. The red room was fine. It was the Sky Club. Oh, Sky Club. But isn't that crazy that I would just walk up? I had already tumbled my luggage down. Like that had already happened. Then I get up to the ticketing area and the guy knew. He just knew that I was already... But do you think maybe he just was being helpful because he saw that you went through such a tumbling? No, he didn't see that happen. Oh, he didn't see the tumbling. And there were big lines everywhere and the way he sent me over. And then I look back, he goes, no, no, no, no. And it was sky. Premier, Sky, whatever. They should have said, now listen, we're going to take your bags and we're going to do this. And the bag was overweight. Did they charge me? No, they just put a sticker on that said extra heavy. Wow. That's nice. How many pounds? 52? 53? I didn't see the result, but it was very, very heavy. Very heavy. That's one of my many skills. I know. You're able to tell. Yeah, I can just, I can lift a bag and I can tell you, usually within the decimal point.

42:33

That's pretty amazing. Oh, this is 48.3, I can tell you. Wow. And then it's very exciting when we go to the airport. Yeah. We put it on the thing, yeah, 40, yes. See? Nailed it. What is that good for? You don't get anything for that. Unless you could do, you could bet people or something, but that's not going to do anything. But I'm very proud of that skill. It's a great skill. It is good if you're going to the airport and you don't want to pay. You can be like, kids, nope, you got to take a shoe out. Right. Nadine has one of those things that it's like a little handle and it will, but it has a digital readout on. So you can, so you can, yeah, you've seen one of it. Yeah. So she can tell. So I can tell, like I make my guess. And then she does her thing. And then that's pretty good. And then we go to the real thing. The scales at the airport are slightly more forgiving. They're off like a couple of ounces. That's nice. Which is probably good because you want a little leeway when you're checking it yourself. Yeah. Yeah. So, I don't know. I've never heard of such a thing. That's amazing. Well, you know, Molly, air travel for me is, I pride myself on knowing a lot about the air travel. I go to red rooms and priority things. Sometimes when I'm using the escalator with my luggage, it never falls. So. Anyway, I'm sure you're doing fine on your own, but if you need advice, let me know because I can, I mean, I'm right here. The good thing about our group is that all of us made the same comment. They're like, you know, next week I'll be thrilled if I'm in group B on the Southwest flight. That'll be a big thing for me. Or, you know, just getting a good aisle seat that's sort of up front. That's kind of a big deal. So at least the... None of us are under the impression or the delusion that will, you know, carry on the lifestyle. Yeah, exactly. But I was saying to my uncle Sam, who I love, I love all my aunts and uncles, but we were talking about going home and he said, are you sad that you're, you know, going home? We're all continuing. And I said, you know, I'm not because I really like my life. I like Spokane. I like my job. I like my... friends, I like my dog, my boyfriend, my grandkids. I said, there's such a life there that I love that I don't feel that sadness when I was a kid. The end of a trip with John meant like, oh my God, I have to go back to high school. People don't like me there. I just don't want to. And now I was fine going when I went. I don't have any, you know, um, that I needed to do more of it. You're not sad it's over. You're happy that it happened. Exactly. Exactly. And I think that all the food and all that is great. And then you've got to come home and shut it down. Shut it down. Here's one other thing I will say. I ate and drank whatever I wanted there. I never one time had a stomach egg. I didn't have an ingestion. I didn't feel hungover. I felt great. And I have a theory about it. The stuff we put in our food.

45:38

is awful. And they just don't do that in Europe. And you can... More on that in a minute. We have a special report on that. Well, and we've said that the wine has less alcohol, and so you can drink as much as you want. You don't feel like crap. And you don't feel drunk. You feel like, you know, you get the buzz, but not that feeling of a big, heavy red wine. And never stomach issue, just... I felt so good the whole time. I was there. And a lot can go wrong when you're, you know, you started the day at four in the morning. Yes. The day you leave, flying literally across the globe. Yeah. And then it's go time right when you get there. Yeah. Food can be different. I mean, there's a lot that could have gone wrong. It's true, and I don't know how any bells. My mom and I fared great. My mom's a trooper, you know, she's up. She's walking. She's doing her thing. But we, yeah, and every morning I had like an egg white omelet that was delicious. But the bread was so good there, and the olive oil was so good. And everything just tasted fresh and delicious and didn't upset my stomach at all. I got home to the New York, the little airport we flew into in White Plains, which was really pretty there. I had one cookie at heartburn instantly. I'm like, see, American food. It's American food. I'm going to live in France. All your Frenchie friends. My Frenchie friends. How are you doing? I have a cookie and your heartburn. You're back. Anyway, what else did you guys? What was your day like? How was your day? How are your days? No, we just, Quinn and I just sat and talked about what you were doing. Oh, good. Yeah. And then how much money he gave way? Yeah, I was telling Dave about you're just never going to financially recover from the last couple days. Pretty standard stuff. Pretty standard stuff. I did bring a bunch of singles with me. I thought we'd play left, right, center, and we never... did everybody was so busy we played a little bit of cribbage played some uno played some regular cards and but mostly You know, it's like the time just kind of goes by and then we're doing stuff and going. We did take the train to Nice and it was very complicated. And I bought tickets on an app. I did that for my aunts and our friend Chris, John's friend Chris. Luckily, he was with us. Well, we missed the train that I bought, which was fine. But then it's a different track. So you get to this track and you're seeing tracks across the way going to and fro. and ours are going to and fro. And I'm like, how do you get under the, how do you get there? So we're walking up, then we're walking below, we're on the totally wrong track. And at one point, I was leading us away from anything to do with civilization. And I remember Chris said, you always have good instincts, Molly. You always do. And I said,

48:30

Okay, and sure enough, I had us four tracks over. We had to race underneath and come back up. I said, don't ever follow me. I have the worst, worst sense of direction. So luckily, he was there because I would have had my aunt's, my, Margaret and Annie, we would have been in the Mediterranean, like, swimming. I think this is the way back to the hotel. So, and somebody asked about flip-flops. I will say this yesterday. In the Minneapolis Hotel, there was a woman. She was dressed beautifully, except she had 7-11 flip-flops on. I'm not kidding. She had beautiful toenails and stuff. You've got to show them off with your flip-flops. I know, but, but, but, but, but. And she was thinking, she's probably going pearls, idiot. And then they go, zone one. I'm like, okay, got to go. I was talking to a couple from here. They had just come back from Lisbon. They had a huge trip. And the little girl, they'd been left over. They had to spend the night in Minneapolis. They were exhausted, so I'm like, hey, hey, with the baby, and like, Dee, Dee, Dee, Dee, hi, baby. Zone one. Okay, bye-bye. Have a good flight. That's my zone. I'm Zone one. I've never been Zone 1. I've always zoned Z for, you paid $50. Finally, you can get on. Yeah. I think seven is the, yeah, I remember being Zone 5. Yes. And that's, that's. I think that's like the gen pop one. It's kind of like one, two, three, four. It's just people trickle through. Yeah. And then zone five. And then if you happen to be in six or seven, yeah. That's where I am and they just feel sorry for you. Yeah. You sit on the wing. Yeah. But, you know, they have this, I don't know which airline it is where it's A for amazing and B for beautiful and C for courageous and it goes down to F. And it's like F is like finally. Finally, it's my turn. Get on board with your stuff. Usually that's right. It's like they do Zone 5 and then they make the announcement. And we're going to have a luggage problem so we can check it here at the thing because I'll, you know. Step into the world of power, loyalty. and luck. I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse. With family, canoles, and spins mean everything. Now, you want to get mixed up in the family business? Introducing the godfather at chumpacasino.com. Test your luck in the shadowy world of the godfather's slot. Someday, I will call upon you to do a service for me. Play the godfather. Now at chumpacasino.com. Welcome to the family.

51:11

I like doing that and then you get your luggage checked for free. Yeah, that's what I like to. Why would you pay? And in first class, you don't have to pay. Oh, man. I was that person yesterday, but... Now I'm back to normal. Back to reality. I've got thousands of dollars I owe. I got to find decorations for you guys. I got all kinds of stuff I got to take care of. So even you admit you don't know where they are. God. Oh, man. Well, it was pretty, pretty quiet around here. Not a whole lot. No. But the golf tournament. Oh, the golf tournament was so great. And then I just, I loved, and I, what day was that? Monday. I was, had a thing in the valley in the morning. Yeah. And so I went out to the resort to pick up our stuff. Oh, good. All the leftover stuff. Yeah. Which I, I don't know. My, my car is. You know, kind of full anyway. I got my golf clubs back there and literally four or five pairs of shoes in the back and socks and everything, shirts and everything. So I think, I'm not even thinking, it can't be that much stuff. I knew we had our little signs and forgot about the big giant Dutch Bros sign. So I pull up to the circle there at the resort and they have this mountain of things. And it's like, oh my God, that can't be all of our stuff. And I get out of the car and there's a couple guys there. And I said, guys, I misjudged how much stuff there is. I think this is going to have to be a two-trip kind of a thing. And they said, oh, no, let's see what we got here. So I got the car doors open. The back hatch is open. My clubs are still in there and everything. And they say, okay, well, here's what we're going to do. So they start taking my stuff out of the car. And then they rebuild. The car. And I don't know how. I should have taken a photo of the mountain because it was like, there's no way all that fits in my car. But it did. But the cool thing was just how many different people at the resort were very complimentary about our tournament and the people that we had in it. It was. It just made you, I get to relive that over. It was just super cool. It made me feel great. And our volunteers that had their trusty, loyal volunteer shirts on. Those are awesome. That's so nice. Oh, speaking, real quick, while we're on the topic of the stuff, I had these luggage tags from Rayma made for everybody on the, my mom and I kind of did it together. I mean, rave reviews. Oh. Oh, I'll show them. Okay. They're so cool. Yeah, everybody got one in the cast, and they couldn't believe the detail. And I know, so here's what everybody got. It's like, I don't know if you can see, it says propeller night would wait. Oh, wow, yeah. And then the back it says can at 2026. Yeah. And Tiffany had to do the stars like by hand on this thing because of the way it was. And there are 50 of them that we had made. Jeez. I know. So.

54:19

Anyway. So where is it? There's a flap. Where does it put your address? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Very good. That's awesome. So anyway, it was pretty, pretty cool. We were happy that, I know we had these made for an event one time, but this was even better. This is. So is it, is it leather? Yeah. So this is like came from a blue cow? Yes. Yes. I've never even seen those before. No, I haven't seen one. I've heard. They must be from France. Boy, that is nice. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Look, here's our friend Rhonda. Okay. And she said, she said, Um, you really, let's see. Yes. They were heading to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for my daughter's appointment. Can't wait to listen to her all about the trip. We are also heading to Boston after this for our first time. Anyway, she's when I ran into in the airport yesterday. When I came off, I believe I was eighth in life. She's changing her voice so you know, here she goes again. And I know you guys are wondering if I brought you things. Yes. Yes. Yes. We do have a prize for us. Well, I wanted to make sure that, you know, remember your sewing issue when you had to sew a button? Remember you had to sew a button? Yes, that's right. It has a little makeup on the outside, but here's a sewing kit from the hotel. That's my price. There you go. And, you know, Quinn, how you always like to listen. You're very techy and you like to listen to. So I have these. I have these headphones. That only work on an airplane. No, no. But look, you can make them as much. Did those come from the first class? Yes. Oh, their first class are folks. You can make them even wider. They split. So I think you're really going to enjoy. Has this been pre-opened? No, no. Why would I do that? Not used either. Remember the time you needed a pen? And I was like, I have a pen. Well, I also made sure you have a friend. Yeah, really, right now you'll never have that again. Is it a sewing kit? No, it's not a sewing kit. It's like a makeup. What is it? You weren't supposed to have. Boom! I got wrong. She goes to France and I got nothing. I got no pride. I was just getting ready to accept the fact about the sewing kit. It's not even that. But remember sometimes you get hungry and in first class you get pistachios. So there. Oh, and also, wait, hang on, this is also for you. It's one of the luggage tags, but it's missing the strap. But you can have that. I wanted you to have that. And look, look at this. Like, this, it's all at the fuck. Inflation. Inflation. Shrinkflation. She's right in three pistachios. Here, here, for the lady in your life. But the lady, it's a sample from Sothis, this very expensive hydrating cream that was given to.

57:13

Now, imagine, imagine you're out and you're desperate. You have nothing to light a fire with, oh, I've got matchstick. That's a match. Now, this one really, this is, this is, this was the last day and this is a special candy. It's along the lines of apples and chittiness or apples and cottlets. It's that kind of, but here look, it's un-open. No, it's been open. No, no, no, it hasn't. It hasn't. It hasn't been revealed. Are you sure? No, it slides out. It's very fancy. It's a sewing kit. Oh, these. Do you like these, Clint? Yeah. What is it? What is it? I don't know what they are. Has it been open? I think it's like apples and cutlets. My mom goes, yeah, I don't like that kind of candy. It looks like soap. Yes, it is soap. Oh, it's soap. Oh, don't eat it. Look, look. Oh, it was food. No, it's food. It is food. I think it's food. Unless it's soap. And then I brought you each a dollar. I brought you each dollar so that you can be happy. Hey, this is like one 17 euro. Yeah. Yeah. That's pretty great. I think that's all. I do have some toothpaste left over. And then... I didn't expect to be doted on like this when you came back. Showered with gifts. So anyway, you're welcome. Thanks, Molly. What is... Well, who's the winners now? Did you throw this away? Did you throw this away? This is part of your vanity kit, Dave. That's part of your makeup removing. Come on. Is that a file? What is that? It's a file from France. So let's recap. You have a dollar. Quinn has some headphones that have only been gently used on two flights. Soap or candy. You'll never know which one until the time comes. A luggage tag without a strap. So you can just tape it on your bag or use a ribbon. And then you're some pistachios. And then whatever else you hurled across the room in a bit of rage. Some matches. Some matches. Some weird lotion stuff. Hey, that was left on our bed. That was very expensive. Oh, well. It's probably high in the hotel. Yes, it is. Oh, maybe we'll grab that. Oh, my God. Oh, boy. Anyway, so. So, but yesterday. So yesterday you leave here. I know you were having some issues with YouTube, right? And we had some issues with the whole editing. But anyway, it was, we did the best we could. Yeah. And I know Quinn had a long meeting. So he had to leave me for dead. Oh. And so I was here. But yeah, I finished that. And then I went home and I was on a mission to. Yeah. attack the yard. It's like I had a total empty bin and I had pushed everything. I had golf days and I had other stuff that I'd, you know, done. So the yard work got pushed to one day, but I said, this is the day. So I'm mow the front and back. I'm picking up stuff. I'm pulling weeds. I'm weed whacking. And then the whole thing with weeds, and I think I've talked about this before, you know, they're only crime.

1:00:34

is that they were born a weed. That's true. You know, it's like if you're a pretty flower and you start growing, you're safe. Yes. But if you're, you know, if we've determined that you're a weed, you don't get to live anywhere. And you get chemicals thrown on you, you get weed what you're right. It's not right. You get the spinning wire thing that chops you up and everything. Take your whole family out. And then, so I'm feeling guilty about that. So I'm doing all that. Then I go to the dog. area, which is my least favorite job of all. And so I get back in there and Barry is at the house now. You know, my daughter is staying at the house with Barry. So now there's always two dogs. And then sometimes when Nadine has dogs, there can be up to five dogs in the house. I mean, it truly is a pack of wild dogs. So the dog area, which I used to do every couple of weeks, sometimes three weeks or a month. Now it's like, I have to do it every week. Oh, boy. So I'm in there and I'm, you know, getting all that done. And then I'm, there's weeds that are growing in the dog area. Gross. And I'm pulling those weeds and I'm thinking, these poor weeds, they're thinking, We can't even live here. Like, we're, this is the worst area. And we can't be, well, we've moved. We've moved over to here. So you, so the rest of your. And it's like, man, it's just, I mean, it just, it sucks to be a weed. Absolutely. Yes. And, you know, some of the weeds are, they look very healthy. I mean, they're like very. You know, in another culture, they'd probably be, oh, man, you got one of those. I hope it grows big and tall, and it has a little flower on top, and then it'll spread its seeds. Well, the kids always will bring in a handful of weeds. Look, I got you these, and you're thinking, oh, no, what bugs are in those, those are just weeds. You don't want to be mean, but to them, they're pretty. The dandelions and stuff. Well, you're kind. Anyway, but so I did. I got the, got the, And man, I was spent. I was so, I was outside. I changed my clothes because I knew I was going to be doing all kinds of. What's up, fools? Main of it Jay Uso here from the WWE. When it's just me between matches, it's day one-ish. And that means it's Chumba Time. With hundreds of casino-style games and new titles arriving weekly, there's always something fresh to try at Chumba Casino. The Daily Boots make it even more fun. VGW Group, Voidware prohibited by law, CTs, and Cs, 21 Plus, sponsored by Chum. Dirty stuff out there. But one of the things that I wore was my Bloomsday shirt. Oh. So, and, you know, this bright yellow bloomsday shirt. And I'm out there and I'm, you know, clunking around. Well, then I see a guy and he looked fantastic, jogging with his bloomsday shirt on. And I just thought, well, and he acknowledged me. You know, he just kind of, and I just said, you know. Hey, same shirt. Yeah. Yeah.

1:03:46

We were in the same race, just different levels. Yeah. I thought, well, he's clearly wearing it better than I am. Well, I bet you did the same race. Mm-hmm. So I got in, and I had to shower, showered up, kind of regrouped. I had some lasagna, some leftover lasagna. And then I rallied to the valley. Oh, yeah. And Nadine had a full day out there. So we went out there. And then she had a dinner thing for us. So we had salad and shrimp. And then you'll be very impressed. Not only did I have sweet potato tots that were fantastic. Oh, good job. cauliflower hash brown. Hey. Nice. Nice. Yeah. And it wasn't terrible. cauliflower can substitute very nicely. That's what it heard. Yeah. At the hot wings place, a lot of times, and even at Dave's hot chicken place, they have a cauliflower substitute, and there's something about the texture and the consistency that it's delicious. It is. It's kind of meaty. Yeah. Coliflower wings, they do. A lot of places in Buffalo will do them, like, just for the vegan option. Yeah. It's pretty cool. It's very good. And I had some wine and then got back home and I was in bed quickly asleep and then starting the day. And then I got kicked off the news again. Yeah, they don't want me on the news. They send a little thing out in the morning. Molly's back now. And then they have just a little Dave, picture of Dave with a little line through it. They didn't want me. No thanks, Dave. Now let me ask you this. So when I, when you were gone, my mom and I did the news together. She was on with me. Okay. So when you were here by yourself, did you just go do it by yourself? Yeah. Except. The news thing? Yeah. Yeah. You just go do it by yourself. Except the day that they came to me live from France. Not for France. They say, well, Dave's right there. No, no, let's check it. No, we don't want him. Get him off of there. Is there any other way we can work it to where he's not on? Is there any... Oh, I don't think that. I did that this morning and then I thought, okay, well, I'm not needed. And then came in here and then I could tell right away there was issues with our system. So hopefully we're going to get back on track. So let me ask the people who were tuning in early, how much did you hear? Because you and I were chatting. Oh, yes. We were chatting before. And I actually had this, just because I hadn't been here and I didn't know what had been going on and I thought, you know, we've come in and everything. It's almost like we're being spied on and everything goes. But it's weird because there's just no possible way based on what we're seeing that it's being heard. And the one day we were talking for a long time. And Quinn especially. I was chatting. You were chatting away. Yeah. But for today, it was.

1:06:51

There was definitely some talk that went over the app. Yes. And there were a couple of people that did acknowledge it. But it was all before like, you know, it was probably like 10 to 6. So you had to be in listening before anything started. That's the way to do it, folks. Tune in early. You never know what you're going to get. That is true. I believe I made a comment about your TV performance. That was, uh, he did. Mm-hmm. He did. No one will ever hear it. No one will ever know. No one will ever know. I made a comment about a strongly worded email I sent out too. Oh, oh, that's, oh, you're in way worse shape than I am. Now that I, now that I think about it. Oh, I'm fine. Yeah. Anyway. Well. Everything is fine. Now, we have a busy stretch here. We do have a news segment that we're going to get to. And then we have some guests coming in here in a few minutes. Yes, we do. For the big swimsuit thing. Oh, yeah. Perfect. And it's McDonald's and Caruso's together. I was really, it's started, I think, from a Help Me Hayley deal. Yeah. I know that's how we got connected to it. I think that's how this all started. Yeah. Yeah. But it's super cool. When you think about it, you know, we're heading into the. summer season, and there's kids that would like to do the public pools, and they make it affordable. But if you don't have a swimsuit, you're kind of screwed in some. So anyway, this is kind of like a, you know, way to help out kids that need that for the summer season. All right. So we'll get to that. We will play the showdown. Molly's back. So, you know, the money might be a little less than what it was before. So sorry to disappoint you, people. I am so sorry. I did hear you doing the questions yesterday. You did a really good job. Thank you. You did the same. You did the congratulations. You did the this. You did the that. That was very good. It took me a couple times. mixing up the order of Dutch Bros and Numerica. Oh, congrats, yeah. So rookie mistakes dropped the board. But by yesterday, he was a veteran. You were giving away thousands of dollars and you were nailing it. Yep, I'd been there before. Give away all the money. That's funny. What time are our guests coming in? 7.30. Oh, geez. Oh, boy. Oh, God, they've got to go. Okay, boy. All right. Go time. Yes, it is. Back after a break. The David and Molly Show is back. And Molly's actually here this time. Yeah. Yeah. So she has time. She comes in, does a show with us. If she's not doing one of her many TV hits. Oh, my God. Where she's, yeah. I'll be here, of course. But, you know, she may be off doing freelance work. All right, we're back after a break. David and Molly's show continues.

We now return to the Dave and Molly Show. All right, we've got a couple of news items to get into. You were talking about the French food and how you ate a lot, you got to drink a lot, and no issues. No issues, no hangovers, no bad stomach, no anything. You may be on to something. Okay. Because there is a new report, a scathing report on the American diet, and it's mostly young people. Yeah. Believe it or not, this comes from Duke University. More than half of the calories that young American adults eat now come from ultra-processed foods. Yep. For kids, the number is even higher. It's crazy. It really occurred to me when I was there, what Americans put their energy towards. And it's like, you cannot be that adamant about these things while you are making hot Cheetos and while you are letting YouTube run ramp it. Like, you're focusing on the wrong things here. You're worried about adults' behavior and this and that. And it's crazy. I mean, I know from experience, my three grandkids all are addicted to those hot Cheetos. They're all addicted to YouTube. You know, it's like that's what's rotting from the inside out. And all the food, McDonald's, all of it, you know. We are, we as a country, America has a bigger problem than other countries in the world. But when you think about that, more than half. of all the calories that we consume come from ultra processors. That's crazy. You don't have to be a nutritionist to know. Probably not very good. They say the biggest offenders are chips. packaged breads, sugary cereals, flavored yogurts, sodas, processed meats, and frozen meals. Yes, all of those things. Experts say these foods may increase the risk of heart disease, depression, obesity, even early death. The report is calling for warning labels for ultra-processed foods to be restricted at schools.

1:12:33

Even the people that you see out in the Yatza Square, whatever, they just look different than we do. They just look healthier. I mean, all of them are smoking cigarettes, which is probably not good. But it's interesting. Everywhere you go, it's not uncommon for a woman to be sitting there with her infant in one chair and a guy to be there smoking a cigarette in the next chair. And still, to this day, and maybe it's just that part of France. I don't know. And I remember in Italy it seemed to be that way too. But also, people are only eating as much as they get full because they have good food going in. And you never feel sick. You never feel overstuffed. It's a really big difference. And then over there, too, because it's so much less space in those countries and so many people and stuff, I feel like a lot of those countries in Europe and stuff, you're walking a lot more too. So you're eating better. And then, like, your day-to-day just involves so much more walking than we do here. And, like, the two. Huge for your health if you have those two things. And public transit, not everybody has car. And then if not, you're on a little motorcycle, which I imagine your adrenaline is like through the roof because they drive like crazy. Yeah. I told the guy who was driving, I said, I can't believe you can drive here. He said, what? I said, this is insanity. This is like being on a ride somewhere, but everybody knows how to do it so they don't crash into each other. Right. I said, it's just, they don't have the wide open. you know, things, it's all these little roads. Right. Well, I do worry about the kids. I really do. I worry, and they say that there's more colon cancer, more, you know, all of that. Yeah. Well, and they say it's a, it's a problem that will probably get worse before it gets better because it's the trend is it's the younger... you are the better chance that you are in this category. Yeah, for sure, for sure. You're getting the high number of calories. They say the definition for ultra-processed food, an industrial product containing few or no real whole-food ingredients. Oh, my God. Made with additives that keep them cheap, shelf stable, and appealing. Yeah. Makes sense. It does. It's not good. It isn't good. It tastes good. It was weird in, like, in Nice and in Antib, this little town. They had McDonald's and then they had Burger King and they had Subway, but it was built into these little teeny streets. So you'd see the sign, but then out front they had the same kind of... little outdoor alfresca setup. So people are out there eating a Big Mac, but they're also sitting in outdoor seating, enjoying it. And I'm thinking, well, right next door is this Italian place or this French place. Tyler Reddick here from 2311 racing. Another checkered flag for the books. Time to celebrate with Chumba. Jump in at chumbacasino.com. Let's Chumba. No purchase necessary. VTW Group. Boyd were prohibited by law. CTNCs, 21 Plus. Sponsored by Chumba Casino. That's cool. And to see French people eating a subway sandwich instead of what's right next door is crazy. Right. Why would you offer a subway sandwich? You're sitting here.

1:15:50

We have a new report on the perfect male and female bodies. Who better to give you this report? That us. We possess. Take a look. Everything you want. You like. You like a double chin? You got a double chin. You love a slab? I got a flab. Sadly. The dad bod is out. Oh, no. Oh, dang it. So fun. A new report looked at the most desired body types using surveys and data from dating apps. The perfect male body. 15% body fat. which is the thinnest and most athletic build that they've ever considered. So that's the new, that's the new trend. I hope the ladies is up, but I'm more like a 45. It is. It is more. Oh, okay. All right. As a part of the study, women were shown side-by-side comparison images and asked to pick the physiques that they found most attractive. A male body fat percentage of 20% ranked second. followed by 25%. 25% used to be sort of the dad bod number. Sure. But thinner isn't always better. The perfect female body. Yes. 30% body fat. Okay, I can well with that. Which is in the middle of the range that they considered. Uh-huh. 25% body fat came in second. Uh-huh. And then that way down the list was 10% body fat. Yeah, nobody wants a skinny girl. Nobody wants that. And in Europe, by the way, there's a new thing. Everybody's a little chunky. It's happening there first. So much like when I brought Stiles home last time and I was ahead of the curve, I'm going to be ahead of the curve with the chunky look. Trust me, in a year, you'll all know what I was doing. You'll say, well, she was ahead of her time. And if you're just trying to, you know, be like, all you're missing is the pearls. You just need the pearls and the big hat. Pearls, big hat, the long black dress. Experts say there are several theories on why women gravitate toward the chiseled male physique. Well, the linking of masculinity to a perceived strength, health, and protection. We just want to be protected, you guys. There's nothing superficial. We just want to make sure you can protect us in a bad situation. Right, Quinn. I feel so safe right now.

1:18:17

Sam Adams can't hurt you here. Where did you say those decorations were? Were they over there? Over there. Oh, my. I feel so safe in the studio. In a similar report from dating.com, nearly 75% of single people say they were fans of the dad bod. Okay. This is from a couple years ago, so it's sort of drifting away a little bit. Yeah, sorry. A separate poll from Planet Fitness. That's one of your places, right? This is one of my many gyms that I don't get to. It's great. They find that 78% of women associated dad bods with confidence. Yes. And nearly half set a softer stomach. Oh. Was the new six-pack? Yeah. How about really soft? That's what I like to hear. It's, well, I mean, you're not going to protect us in the wild, but we also have a place to sleep. We have a place to sleep, and we know you're all ours, so we feel very secure in that. What about the girl body? I think I can do 30% body fat. I think I fall within that. I mean, if that's all they want. I mean, come on. Give the people what they want. That's right. It's because they're, I think that they say because women can then, they make babies. Like, you know, when you see really skinny women, then you don't associate with that with being able to make babies and stuff. Like the male, you know. And it used to be skinny people were considered poor people. And us more zostic people were the richies up in the front and first class. You can clearly see how much food we're able to take in. That's right. Because we're rich. We're rich. So now you know. Yep, that's good. We've got to do a break. When we come back, we're going to be joined by our friends from Caruso's and McDonald's. They have a super cool thing that they're doing as we get ready for the summer season. Swimsuits. We donate a swimsuit, right? Very good. Love it. We'll get to that when we return the David and Molly Show from the America Studios. We now return to the Dave and Molly Show. Hey, welcome back on all. The Dave and Molly Show continues, and we have some guests here in the studio. I think this is a great thing. And to be honest, I just kind of learned about it. But it's help me, Haley, make a splash swimsuit drive. That's correct. I nailed it. You did. That was it. Perfect. Perfect. We have Kerry from McDonald's and we have Bristol from Caruso's, and you guys have sort of teamed up. Tell everybody what this is and how it benefits kids in the community. Yeah, so the kids, you know, that swim in the public pools here, they have to have swimsuits. Right. They can't go in there with cutoffs because those mess up the machines that run the pool somehow and other.

1:21:17

This is to help with those who have a difficulty trying to get swimsuits. And, you know, they're donated to these kids when they come in, and they all get excited because they can swim for the summer. Yeah. And swimsuits are not cheap. No. Especially the good ones. They are not. So the idea is that you donate the swimsuits, and we'll talk about all the locations. Okay, yeah. And then also we've just learned that there's an extra treat if you do it. And you're from McDonald's. And so how do you guys? get together to pair up with this. Okay, so it was a help me, Haley, and Caruso's. They've been doing that for three years, I learned, right? Yeah. So they were looking for another sponsor. And of course, to your local McDonald's, there's 27 in the area. He's a big fan. Yeah. Big fan. So if it has to do with children and families and supporting the community, we are in. So when they brought it to us, I'm like, yes, make sure Caruso's is okay. Because, you know, we are both restaurants. We're different, but we're still in the restaurant category. And we've, I've known Bristol for quite a while now. And we're like, yeah, let's do this. So we did. That's where we're at. So all the kids can swim safe this summer and they're brand new suits. So how does this work? So people, you're encouraging people to... get a new swimsuit and then drop it off at one of your locations. So Bristol has a location. Yeah, yeah, a division. And so they come in, they donate a swimsuit to us. And then we give them a little reward. I give them a discount card. Or they can get a discount right then. They can use it now or later. And I believe she's doing the same thing. Yeah, so our two McDonald's, they're both on the South Hill. I didn't want to pick one because one is up on Regal. That's my turf. That's it. There you go. Mr. Diet Coke. And then the one on 29th as well. So please bring in your brand new suits to those two locations. Okay. And then there's also one up north. I didn't want to forget the north side. That's at the Y. Okay. So there's boxes when you walk in there. And then when you drop off your suit, make sure you go up to the front counter. Okay. And we also have a little treat. We have all those six new drinks that just launched here. I see the reader board on those. I have not had one yet. What is a dirty Dr. Pepper? Careful. Careful. I have to know. So it's Dr. Pepper, vanilla, and cold foam. So you get a coupon for a free new drink when you bring us some new bathing suits. That sounds delicious. I love Dr. Pepper. And then I'm assuming you're targeting the, like, youth size, right? Well, all sizes, actually, because, you know, teens also wear adults. So we are taking all sizes, you know, little ones to the big ones. And I heard, I was watching a couple segments from Haley was doing, they're really hurting on the adult sizes, the teen sizes. The small sizes, they do a pretty heavy donation. So, yeah, we need some larger sizes for those kids as well. Okay. All right.

1:24:15

Kids, they're growing like weeds nowadays. Yeah, that's true. They're strong. So we have the three McDonald's locations and the one Caruso's location, and we're going until Memorial Day. So you have some time, and I expect to see all of you guys drinking your new drinks and having your Caruso sandwich. Yes. No, so what is the address of your Caruso? So we're 1120 North Division. Which is. Directly across the street from Gonzaga. Oh, good turf. That's a great turf. Good turf. Those eggs, right? Yeah. Yeah. Isn't the U district is what they call it. And I love whenever we have company lunches and I'm in charge of picking up lunch, it's always crusoe. She does that. That is true. She has done that. You better leave your card. You cannot beat our catering. I love the salad. I have the salad with the... The nuts, the caramelized nuts and the, oh, my God. That's a crusoe salad. That's what I get to, Molly. My favorite. My favorite. I have to do it without the onions, but I love it. It's my favorite. It's got the great dressing and stuff, and it's so fresh. And nobody spends more money. Also truth. on McDonald's than this girl here because they have all three kids and all all the grandkids love it. So I'm through all the McDonald's ones. I will rival you on that. Well, okay, maybe. I have an app to prove it with my point. Oh, yes. Good plug. Thank you very much. McDonald's app that has the best deal. We, yeah. Don't, don't ever do it without the McDonald's. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's a, I mean, it's about a. And make sure you bring in your suits. Got to bring in the suits, yeah. But you have to come in, like go in and say, here are my suits. I want my free drink thing. Yes. You can do like there's only a few days left until this is all done. So you can do one day at McDonald's, the next day at Cruces, next day at McDonald's, next day at Cruces. And you can do that the whole time, bring a suit every day. And then you're getting all these coupons for the summer. And doing a great thing for the community. Yeah. It's all helping out the kids. Yeah. Well, I got to try this dirty Dr. Pepper situation. I tried the Sprite one. It is Ryan Seacrest here. There was a recent social media trend which consisted of flying on a plane with no music, no movies, no entertainment. But a better trend would be going to Chumba Casino.com. It's a Bari Weiss-Bari Weiss sprite. So it's sprite with blue raspberry and cold foam. Oh, that was amazing. Molly should tell you what she does after she has a sprite. Go ahead, Molly. Go ahead. No, go ahead. We got time. Tell everybody. It makes me burp, okay? I like to say words or names. Do you say why you do it? I do it to entertain them sometimes. Oh, it's entertaining all right. Yeah. Shocking and entertaining. Well, I love it. I think there's a great thing that you guys are doing. I love it because we're Spokane people. We're lifers and anything that helps the community and helps the kids that need. Need that kind of stuff that we're all in. Yeah, we want to keep the pools open with the kids there wearing the safety. I guess it's a big safety thing with wearing bathing suits. I was watching that. I didn't realize that. Here's the thing while you're picking suits, people, and I've learned this. Pick bright colors. Don't pick the greens and the blues. Pick like a bright pink or an orange or red or something like that because all of those muted colors can blend in with the water more easily. Yeah, so the lifeguards can keep an eye on them. Okay. Thanks, Molly. Well, I learned that, too, the same way. I learned it from one of the safety things, and they were saying, yeah. It was a camp thing. I think they asked the kids to come to camp with a bright-colored suit on or something like that. Okay. Yeah. Makes sense. Mm-hmm. All right. So, Annie, you're saying the focus on the bigger sizes now. Yes. The more adults is for the teens. Okay. Gotcha. Yeah. We can do that. All right. I think it's great. Yeah. Yeah. So four locations, got till Memorial Day. Bring them in. Man. Bristol's ready with his coupons. We're ready with my coupons. You guys can stock up. Got coupons and Molly's going to have that Spriteberry thing. Oh, boy. Let her rip. How long has Caruso's? How long has Caruso's been around? It says 93. We've got three locations now. And so the division store is the newest one we opened there in 2015. Okay. And is the Argon one? Was that the starter? Is that the first one? No, the first one I think was in post falls. It was a little bit before my time, so I'm a little shaky on the history there. Okay. I can tell you all about it from 2015 Ford. Okay. And there's a Cordillane one. But we're talking about the one in the U district. That's the one that's participating in this. Where you drop off the suits. Yeah. The food is so good. It's so delicious. It's very Spokane. You know, it is just like a, and McDonald's is everywhere. And I just got back from a big trip, and there was McDonald's where I was. Oh, how fun. Like you're in the south of France, and it's a boutique McDonald's, but people are sitting there outside eating their Big Macs. Oh, my gosh. Because McDonald's is what makes you feel at home. Anywhere on the world you know, you can go and have.

1:29:37

that and you can taste home and feel like you're safe and home. Bada, ba, ba, ba. Yeah, she did. Oh, she has it way better. I guess that's how you have to do it. Well, you know, it's been a time. I've been there since 1989. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Yeah. That's amazing. Locally owned and operated and we love to support the community. Well, you guys are good. Love it. Love it. All right, thank you for coming in. Thank you all. Thank you for having us. We'll see you guys in the restaurant. Get those discounts. You bet. All right. Thank you. All right. We're back after a break. The Dave and Molly Show continues from the Numerica Studios. We now return to the Dave and Molly Show. Hey, welcome back, everybody, and welcome. Special welcome to our viewers on SWX. We're back on SWX. And look, Molly's back. Hello, I'm back. It's been a long time. It's the last week sometime when you left the country. Hello. I fled the country. They'd asked me to leave. And then I got everything straightened out. And then now I'm back and everything's fine. There's some pending litigation. But that's... I think you're going to be fine with that. I think so, too. Pay the fine and then, you know, do the community service thing. And then I think they take it off your record after five years. It's a very thin case to start with. And, you know, I think you're right. I can beat it. And then I will do the community service. You know, speaking of that, on my way home from my trip, I went through New York. And so here's what I realized about New York. They have the same commercials that we have here. You got the lawyer. You got like Bill's electric, you know, all that stuff, except there's a guy yelling at you going, you were in accident, I can fix it for you. And I really, yelling, did you think you were wronged? Well, you need to call us. And we're here, we're like, one call, that's all. Everything's very polite. There, they're like screaming at you. And then Bill's, like, Bill's heating. If you heat it goes out in the middle of width, it's going to be a problem. You want to call Bill's first. Okay, those are the real commercials that they're playing. But they look just like ours and just different characters doing them. It's very entertaining having the New York experience. So I don't know what reminded me of that. Something did. And in general, no jet lag. I feel good. And I feel like that. I think today's going to be very crucial about what I eat and how much I sleep. Yesterday I was, I didn't sleep a lot the night before, which was maybe okay to. Yesterday, the afternoon, I was pretty out of it. But then slept for like an hour yesterday afternoon. Then I went to bed at eight last night, slept pretty close to, I was up a little bit before four. But I woke up and I thought, I feel. You got this. I got this. I feel pretty good. Good. Yeah, who knows later what happens. And I think those are the, and not that I know, I haven't done a whole lot of, you know, world travel with extended time shifts. Yeah. But to do, what is it, nine hour difference. Yeah. And then all kind of in a week, sometimes that can really throw you. Yes. So. The going there is usually fine because you just sort of bypass some stuff.

1:32:55

coming back and only having one night, like everybody else, they're in New York, so they're now at a six-hour difference from home. Then they'll be at a three, you know, or a six-hour difference, three hours from here. They get to ease back into West Coast time. So, yeah, you have to do it over and over again the day. It's like, I was already at 1 p.m. When I got home, I go, what time is it? And we went and killed some time at the casino, too. I said, now what time is it? It's at 220? 220. I felt like I was in there for hours. Anyway, but I'm back now. I'm feeling pretty good. By the end of this week and, like, we have a long weekend. Then, you know, it's all. Yeah, the three-day week is pretty good. It's pretty good. Yeah. We'll have to figure out a best of for Memorial Day, right? Actually, I don't know. Actually, I'll talk to them about it because I think when we're, because I think a morning show is off, but. I don't know, actually. I don't know what they do for that. So we need to talk to our people. We should have a meeting about it. What do you want to do? Well, we're off, right? Okay, then we're off. That was our meeting. And for future notes, there's a, we're looking at June 8th might be another day. Oh, really? Well, just, yeah, I don't know. Somebody said something. Is that the Friday? It'd be a Monday. Okay. Yeah. I will let you guys know that I am off that Friday going into that weekend. That's Dave's birthday celebration day. I know, but my family's in town for Maddie's wedding dress shopping. You're so selfish. Fine. Just cancel my birthday. Yes, you should just come and hang out. My brother will be here. He'll be on East Coast time, so maybe I could bring him in. What are we supposed to do without you? This is ridiculous and horrible. I don't know. This is the worst thing that's ever happened. And by the way, if you're just tuning in, he's been, well, you probably know this. If you're people who watch here, he's been giving thousands of dollars of mine away for the cash showdown. Me? Yes. Yes. Oh, that'll teach you to leave. I guess so. It costs me. Anyway, we do need someone to play the showdown. If you want to play, check in with us via the text line. We are going to have some entertainment news, and we can kind of sort of extend that out a little bit because you were our special correspondent at the Conce Film Festival. Yeah, it was. And we got the photos to prove it. You were there, and the great John Travolta gets basically the Lifetime Achievement Award. They call it the... The Palm Door? The Palm Door is the award. It'll be the best picture that was there. It'll be lifetime achievement. It's the kind of highest thing. And so one of his was that. It was pretty amazing. He was surprised. Last night on Jimmy Fallon, he brought the award in it. It came in a night's case, and he showed it on the set. It's beautiful. And then over the weekend, I think a lot of people saw through social media where he got the award. It was a surprise. And, you know, he teared up. It was really, really a beautiful thing. It was. It was beautiful. He didn't know. We were there to see it. We were very proud. In fact, the picture, and I will post it because it must have been somewhere. My uncle Jimmy captured it. You can see me, but we were all very emotional. And it wasn't pretty emotional crying. It was like, we're so proud of him. You know, just that kind of. And in fact, we had a moment where.

1:36:19

Kelly, who is my cousin-in-law, she is the lead, and she's a teacher at U of I. And she's not used to the red carpet stuff. And we're all sitting at dinner the first night, and we're chatting about what the red carpet's going to be like. And she's like, okay, okay. And so I asked a publicity person, I said, well, how big is the theater? that this will show it. And she said, oh, it's the big one. It's about 2,000 people. And Kelly just goes, I can't breathe. So then I was teasing her that, you know, because Ella's used to the red carpet and Olga's obviously a model and John's used to it. And I said, she goes, I'm going to be crying the whole time, but like the ugly like crying. And I said, what if we see the three of them? doing this, and then you're with Clark, and Clark's just staring, and you're going, come on, let's go, like dragging him along, crying. But it didn't turn out that way. She did great. She looked just like everybody else. The red carpet was beautiful. And you had 25 in your group, basically? Yeah, I think it was 20, yeah, 25, and then some extra people who were kind of their producers and publicity people and stuff. It was a big group, yeah. So cool. Yeah. It was cool. So we'll post some pictures. I think I can post now. I can post like my veranda. I can post. There was one picture of me at the hotel, the cap. It was kind of cool. I borrowed an outfit for my friend Heather, so I wanted to wear it so she could see it. And then it's like our breakfast room. But they were pretty strict about photos because security-wise, they don't want to pinpoint where you are and all that kind of stuff because. Right. And then Ella wore, she wore, like, diamonds from a place on the night at the red carpet. And I realized there was this guy following her around at the after party. And he was like right on her. And I thought, oh, they must have, you know, security. It must be worried. Well, he was from the diamond place. He was there to watch the jewels. Protecting the jewels. Yeah. And she said he was, he was there at every move. Just like, you know, they're worth a lot of money. And he wouldn't, and who knows what kind of Thebes would try. But he was, he was totally in charge. It was something out of a movie. He's like, Hey, it's Ryan Sechrest here, and I have discovered a fun new escape from the daily grind. Chumba Casino. Chumba Casino has hundreds of social casino style games. It's all free to play anytime, anywhere, with daily bonuses. So get to Chumbacasino.com. No purchase necessary. VigW. Boy, we're prohibited by loss. See, terms and conditions, 21 plus. You know, following around, he grabs her shoe because she took off her shoes, she was uncomfortable. And he's holding those. And he's like, oh, my God. But I, it was pretty funny. And even I was walking up to her, and he's looking like, Who are you? Why are you talking? Don't look at those jewels. Don't touch her hands. That's crazy. It's kind of cool. Yeah. That's really cool. We have Julie on the text line. She watched the Fallon clip. Uh-huh. John looks great. Love his beret. There is a story that is going, it's a national story. And I think the headline is, why is John Travolta wearing berets now? Yeah.

1:39:26

Do you know that? Did he tell you? Well, I saw it an article because he's a director this time. And he wants to look for like a director. He also said, he said, you know, through the years, he said, I'm all these places. And I never know where I look the same. It could be anywhere. He said, so I wanted something to make this look different and stand out so that we know this was where we were doing this. So it was kind of his look. That's cool. I was telling you guys in a break, but I was seeing all over social media over the weekend and Friday night of just like, John Travolta looking so good, because he's 72, I believe. Yeah. So it's like so good at 72 years old, stunning. Like, what do you think of John Travolta's? Beret, like just all sort of. It was just all over the internet. It was really cool. Well, and people were saying, oh, oh, oh, like he must have had a facelift or something. He, no, he, no. And I was joking because he has a makeup guy who does the touchets. And we were laughing. He goes, well, according to articles, apparently I gave him a facelift while I was here. I'm very good. I said, he just looks amazing. People think that he's had work done, and he has not. He's zero. He would never do that. And usually his bald head is there, and he's sort of showing off, but this was a different look. And he just looks, he looks amazing. Deal with it. Yeah. It's not. Yeah, deal with it. There's no facelift going on. But it's funny to. hear a rumor like that, and then you're sitting right there. So you're like, well, that's not, and we're laughing about it. Like, no, that's, you know, that's not it. There's so much, yeah, stuff out there. I can only imagine how much stuff has been out there about him, about the family, just in general, where you guys are sitting there being like, did you hear this? Like, when did this happen? Yeah, there was one picture years ago where it's, we were all parting ways in New York. It was Christmas time. And John was going one place and Kelly was going another. And we were all standing right there. And there's a photo. And they just happened to catch them where she was like, she's like, and he's like. And they're like, Kelly and John go their separate ways for the holidays. And we were laughing because I was like, I was right there. They were going, they just cuts that one glimpse where you're grimacing or something. And then that's the story. But in, and I'm not defending those people, of course. But that's, that is what. people are going to click on. That's they want to see. Oh, is there something here? And then you see enough of it and you realize, oh, this is all a bunch of crap. Oh, you can't believe any of the stuff unless you sit there and they are saying it and, you know, you're doing it. You just, it's all made up. And there's so many people who are, who want to focus on negative or. Pick out something bad about it instead of celebrating the good that you really just have to put your blinders on and be like, I'm just doing my thing. And everybody was very positive. You know, we didn't see a lot of the negative stuff. I think they're on the Today Show. Don't turn away from our show. I think they're on the Today Show this morning, too. I thought the Fallon segment was great. And I told Nadine this last night. I said, I'm going to set up the recorder to pick up the clip.

1:42:27

And I said, I know that he really likes John Travolta. He's been a fan ever since he was a kid. He was a New York kid when he grew up. So, you know, Saturday Night Fever, Greece, all that stuff was part of his. you know, deal. And then to see both of them on the show and there was mutual love. I think, I think if, you know, we don't know, but I think that's probably his favorite late night guy. Oh, I think so. I think he trusts him the most. And then Fallon has a great imitation. I haven't yet. That was part of his getting SNLs. That was, it's hard. Not a lot of people have good imitations. I think Dana Carvey used to do a little bit of something, but Fallon actually. really got the essence of him and stuff. But no, I think he feels safe there and happy there. They did a thing before, because I was fast-boarding through, and they were doing a thing where they were writing songs on the spot for the, you know, the band. And he spelling goes into the audience, and he will talk to somebody and will get a few notes, and then the roots do a song, an impromptu song. This guy, People are wearing T-shirts and sweatpants to the Jimmy Fallon show, first of all. And he picks out this goofy guy, and he's like, okay, what would you put on a hot dog? And the guy goes, bacon. And he goes, okay, well, we need another thing. Cheese. And then he picked pickles and ketchup. And, like, that was this hot dog thing. But then he's dancing, and I'm thinking, what is this guy doing? You have all the people to pick to have them on there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But anyway. Anywho, now we're back. Then I was denied entrance to the first guest lounge. Apparently, a paper ticket isn't enough. If you want to play the showdown, just call, right? Yeah. Should we play the song? Yeah, and then by that time, there better be somebody. Somebody better calling. Maybe people are scared because, you know, the money is not as much as it used to be. I have a dollar. Actually, I have more dollars. I have a bunch of dollars. We'll do dollars. It's time for Dave's Cash Showdown. Time for you to throw down. Winning in a minute and answer 10. Dave comes in and answers in again. If your score's inferior, then Dave will reign superior. It's time to play around. Dave's Cash Showdown. Now we've got to ask, because I know when you left, you left us all very prepared. You had multiple days of questions. When did you work these questions up? At the airport, well, I was sitting in the lounge with all the other losers in the main area of the terminal. Gen Pop. I was in Jenpop, sipping on some champagne and right. Yes, this was yesterday morning. There's a lot of alcohol questions at Israel. No, I did. One in LaGuardia and one when I got to Minneapolis. Okay. So I have two. But.

1:45:31

So, yeah. You got to call in to play the showdown, 509-4483-2-3-3-7. Molly's got the questions. And now, you know, Quinn's been very friendly. You're looking over the questions. Do you have money questions? And if so, how much are they worth? I have two money questions. One at number one. And one at number... Six, seven, eight, nine, five, five, six, seven. Anyway, we're in the middle. I can't see that. And I've got a bunch of dollar bills because we were supposed to play left, right center, and we didn't. So actually have money. We have a person ready to play the game. Who's this? This is Scott. How are you doing today? Scott, very good. Thank you for checking in. Nice to have you with us. You can welcome Molly back to the U.S. of A. Molly, it's good to have you back on American soil. Thank you. It's good to be back. And so you brought back, was that a, I thought I heard a million dollars in euros for question number five. Scott, don't start in with me. I know you. What have I done? You're the one. He's the one that already, when you say $5, he says $50 on the text line. No, no. And I have no euros. I got some euros and I use them. And then we left the rest there. They're so pretty the euros. Yeah, they are cool. So the French francs, that's like that's old gone. They're all in euros now. And when did euros completely take over? Oh my gosh. 15 years ago? 10 or 15 years. Last time I was there, it was all euros. That was eight years ago. I think it's been euros for a long time, right? Okay. Yeah. I'll tell you what, I'll put up my pesos. Oh, yes. What's the money of your people? I'll give me my five pesos that I have left over for my Mexico trip earlier in the year. Fifth of a penny. We could check on the exchange rate for that. Yeah, really. Anyway, all right, I'm going to leave the studio, Scott. Molly has the questions. Again, there's a million dollars at stake. Good luck, Scott. I'm looking over these questions and now I'm like, have I asked these before? I'm sure I have, but in a different thing. So we're just going to go with it. I was drunk at an airport when I wrote them. So if you don't like them, well, then too bad. All right, Scott, you ready to throw down on the showdown? Let's throw it down to something special. All right, here we go. Here's the first money question. What is an emasculated stallion called?

1:48:08

And don't say a husband. I can't say that. Is it a male horse in heat? I don't know. No, well, emasculated stallion meaning like fixed. Oh. Then he can't. He's not in heat. I don't know. Okay. All right. We're going to move on. Which U.S. state is named after president? Washington. Oh, good. Yes. Vodcan orange juice make up what cocktail? Screwdriver. Which chest piece has a horse head? That would be a night. Louisville, Kentucky sits on what river? Louisville, Kentucky. It is Ryan Seacrest here. There was a recent social media trend which consisted of flying on a plane with no music, no movies, no entertainment. But a better trend would be going to chumba casino.com. 1:49:31

I guess. Is it the Missouri or then? All right. Here's your next. Okay. Here's your other money question. Who is the patron saint of lost causes? Is that Dave? Ha ha. Too bad he couldn't hear that. Okay. I'm not sure. Okay. Which is the main substance used to make a crayon? Wax. What is sauerkraut? Uh, sourcrout, or cabbage, sour cabbage. Which of Santa's reindeer is female? Uh, I, I really want to say Rudolph, but I don't say Rudolph. Okay. And what is the capital of Iowa? Oh, gosh. My dad's probably going to kill me because I'm trying to... It's not Des Moines, is it? I don't know. Is that what you're saying? My dad's going to kill me. He went to Iowa State. Just say it. I grew up. I'm going to say Des Moines. Okay. All right. We're good. Where did Dave go? He was here. I don't know. He was in the window and we lost him. I think he got to... I see John on the TV out there on the Today Show. He's probably watching. He probably got distracted. Oh, yes. Lost causes. I mean, he got lost. That's right. Yeah, he is lost. I know now I'm looking over his shoulder. I'm seeing. Are you watching John on the TV? Yeah, that's what I was doing. Is it just John and Ella? Oh, look, Al Roker has a beret on as well. Oh, sorry. That's awesome. I know, I'm looking at the desk. Caleb's got a lot of his desk. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah, it was, they showed an old clip of John on with Jane Polly. Oh, my God. It must have been like during the Welcome Back Cotter days, maybe even before Saturday fever. Wow. And there he is. You know. Big head of hair. Full head of hair. Yeah. And Ella looks just absolutely amazing. I know. She's so beautiful. And then she's on the plane and she's just like no makeup and already beautiful. And then she does her hair. She had for the opening this kind of, well, you probably saw it. It was a very like 60s kind of look, almost like a fema. But then this beautiful dress. So, yeah. How did Scott do? Did he win money? Oh, you're in trouble, Dave. Okay. Oh, I'm in trouble. He did not win money. No money. Thankfully. Let's see how it goes for me. I get 10 questions, 60 seconds. Here we go. All right. What, hang on a second. Sorry, what is an emasculated stallion called? Meaning fixed. Oh, I know this. Oh, pass for now. Oh, righty. Which U.S. state was named after a president? Washington. Bodka and orange juice. Make up what cocktail? Screwdriver.

1:52:36

The alcohol question. Louisville, what chest piece has a horse head? The knight. Louisville, Kentucky sits on what river? Oh, the Ohio. Here's your money question. Your other money question. Who is the patron saint of lost causes? Scott said it was you. Hey! I know. Hey, I didn't go to the bus like that. I have a repeat the question. Who is the patron saint of lost causes? Scott. Good one, Dave. What is the main substance that is used to make a crayon? A what? What is the crayon? Oh, a crayon. Wax. What is sourcrow. It is... It's a cabbage. Which of Santa's Reindeer's is female? Vixen. And what is the capital of Iowa? Des Moines. You're going to be so pissed. No, it's... Nope, you can't. Too late. My money is gone. More money. Final score, Dave wins eight to six. And I got all of them except the money questions. That's right. That's correct. Give me the first letter of the horse thing. G. Yes, I know this. It is, give me the second letter. E. I know this. A gentleman. No. I said, I don't say it's a husband, an emasculated stallion. You ready for more? Oh, to gelding. Yes. I used to know that. There was a time when I knew a lot about the horse racing role. Why? Why? Did you know that about horses? Anyway. All right. So Gilding, that was your money question. You both got Washington. You both got screwdriver. You both got Knight. Dave got Ohio. Very good. And then any guesses on the patron saint of lost causes? St. Matthew? Nope. He's the lost things. Well, and it's interesting because there's a whole hospital. Step into the world of power, loyalty, and luck. I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse. 1:55:21

that's called it, St. Aloysius? Jude. Oh. Which I thought was really interesting because St. Jude is the place where you don't have to pay anything. You know, they take care of families. And I, when I saw that it was the last, I think Christopher is of lost things. Oh, yeah, that's Christopher. Yes, I know because I have one of those things. And then I lost it. I was like, Christopher. Hello. You're supposed to stay with me. You're supposed to be lost. And then let's see what else. Oh, wait. I think you got everything else right. Wax, very good. You both got cabbage. Dave got Vixen. Very nice. And then you both got Des Moines. Mm-hmm. Or Des Moines. Des Moines. Des Moines. Des Moines. So nicely done, congratulations from our friends and Numerica Credit Union. Proud sponsor of Dave's Cash Showdown. America Credit Union, they were the credit union that really helped Santa's Reindeer's get started. In fact, it was Vixen was the first one to have a Numerica debit card. And it's very odd that a reindeer would have such a card. But it was, again, they're very bold. They're very new and forward thinking. So they had Donder and Blitzen. They had their cards, of course. Well, they're boys. They're allowed. But Vixen was the first of the female reindeer to actually be a Numerica credit union member. And membership is not just limited to humans. No. Reindeer's, geldings, colts, all sorts of thoroughbreds. A lot of the thoroughbreds these days. Phillies. Fillies. Mairs. They're all part of it. So enjoy a screwdriver and get yourself a numeric. debit card. And five free cups of Dutch love from Spokane's Dutch Bros. Spokane's Dutch Bros. Now I heard Kevin Parker wanted to put up another $15,000 for something. No, nobody won the $15,000 at the tournament. No. Did a lot of people make it on to the green for the, I know my boyfriend, Ken made it on, right? Yeah, that's what we heard. Which was fun. Yeah. Awesome. Thank you again. Dutch Bros. for being a major sponsor of our both of those for our golf tournament. So thank you so much. And now let me ask you this, Scott, would you like a picture of your card or would you like it to be mailed to you? A picture is so easy. A picture would be absolutely fabulous. Okay. We're honest. That's what we like to hear. Even Quinn can do that. No problem. You should just send me a picture of a million dollar euros too, right? Oh, yeah. All right. Nice work, Scott. Thank you very much for playing. Thanks for listening. Text in your info to Molly and we'll go from there. Super. Okay. Have a great day and again, Mom, it is good to have you back. Thank you. It's good to be back. Feeling good right now. The crash is coming. I'll be at Grandparents Day at 2 o'clock going.

1:58:09

You only got about an hour and a half. And then you're set free. Yep. It's probably taken out. And that sounds good on the horizon. Yes. Okay. Thank you. All right. All right. We'll play the showdown again tomorrow. Same time, if you want to play tomorrow, let us know. We'll get you all signed up and ready to go. More money questions, more often. Molly. Yes. That's, yes. And a programming note, we will have a show tomorrow. It'll be a fine show. It'll be a good show. We're going to do our best. But Friday. Oh, Friday. Friday's the birthday show for Molly. And Quinn has got some stuff planned for her that is going to be great. If we can find some decorations, we're going to put those up. So the studio is going to look wonderful. And we're going to celebrate Molly for her. Birthday show day. Your actual birthday is not until Saturday, but we'll celebrate it on Friday. So make it a point to join us for the special Friday show. Let me ask you this. You don't have to give too much away, because I know you have so many things planned, so many surprises and everything. Are you going to need the musical instruments or should I put those away? No, we are going to need them. Excellent. And there will be a coaching session that I will have to do with the boys. Okay. So you'll be, you know, Ask to leave. Yeah, you'll have to go out, probably go on TV again or something. I'll be stuck here by myself. And then I will explain to the people that are part of the musical performance. We have a rehearsal date set. Excellent. That's what I wanted to know. Now, it will be Friday? So will you make your normal food stop? And do I have to pay for it again? Yes. I was going to offer. I'll pay for the McDonald's this Friday. And that can be my whole birthday present. That's all you need. That's all I can afford. My one burrito. Okay. You got it. Yeah. Because I know I gave you more than enough for. Who did you get last Friday? Who did you get food for? Me and my friend Dave. That's it. Well, then you've got money left over from what I gave you for my birthday burrito. Oh, oh. I do. So I'll pay for it this Friday. No, you worry. Yes, you will. Well, and, you know, if the Knicks win the series, then there's going to be lots of McDonald's money. Your money was used to, you know, to. Well, I used my card for the apps of the cash that you gave me was used for wagers. That came through for me. See, he won. There's no problem. You are unbelievable. I am upset. Anyway, we got to do a break. When we return, Sam Adams will be here. He'll be just here for a short time. He's got another thing that he's got to do. But we will enjoy him for the few minutes that he will be here. Okay, that sounds good. That when we return, this is the Dave and Molly show from the Numerica Studios.

2:01:07

We now return to the Dave and Molly show. Hey, welcome back. One and all. Look who's here. It's our friend Sam Adams. He's back. Hey, the gang's all back together. I know. I haven't seen you since the golf tournament. How did you do, did you do well on the floating green? And how did your new driver fare in that longer thing? Oh, those are good questions. Very good questions. I love that you just got back from France. Yeah. Can film festival. Yeah. All the things. And the first thing you want to ask me is about my golf game. I've been worried about it. I've been worried about it. Are you going like when you were in France going, oh my gosh, I don't know how I'm going to sit through this without knowing how Sam did. I almost texted you. How is your driver? How's that longer course? Where are you? I'm on the red carpet right now, but I want to know. Did you have fun though? I had a great time. Thank you. That was amazing. Thank you for. We had a good day. And did everybody comment on how the. courses longer? I mean, was that a topic of conversation? Yeah, yeah. On some of the holes. Boy, it's a game changer on a couple of those. It is. But also fair. Like, I didn't feel like it made it so long. Like, oh my gosh, I can barely reach the fairway. It just made it a little more challenging. Well, with your new driver, of course. Easy. I had to, right? If I was using my iron, I would have been out of it. Yeah, we had a great time. The swing to answers. Question specifically about the driver. It wasn't working early on, but then I made a small adjustment. I was playing it more on my front foot in the final, like, five or six holes, and I found my swing again. He found his swing, yeah. And then do you have a battle coming up soon that we can later on? No, no. There's nothing on the board. Oh, you missed it. What? You missed it. There's a ceasefire. In the Northwest. You guys? I didn't know. I missed it too. Dave Spacito and Sam Adams have come to terms. Early terms on a ceasefire where we will no longer battle it. I'm joking. No truth. We will have to, it'll probably be next week that we get out there again. Right before I left, I had to pay off Quinn for a bet. And so even though when I talked to you on the Friday and you were sitting there, he's eating a hash brown while he's talking to me from France. And he goes, look what I have. I said, guess who bought that? It was me. Yeah, that was the first thing I did when we're on the video call. She's calling me and I'm like, I'm sure I'm just chowing down on the hash brown. On the set. Yeah. On the set. Le hash brown, as they say here in France. Look what we have here. Do you want one of these? Yes, always. Try all new drinks. Look at those. Okay, an orange dream, a passion fruit refresher, and a dirty Dr. Pepper. Ooh, look at this. It's got a gold seal on this. Yeah, gold seal so you know it's authentic. Thank you. This is what they're handing out if you give a swimsuit all through this weekend at either McDonald's or at Caruso. There's a Caruso location. We're giving you one. Wait, is this with... Oh, that's a good trick. Is this with Haley's Swampute Drive? Yes. It's amazing. Okay. Well, now I'm going to scare up a swimsuit. And then they're... Brand new. Caruso's too.

2:04:15

Take one of those. Oh, my gosh. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Whoa. Or maybe I'll just use it for food instead. Yeah, good. Oh, man. It's like we picked up right where we were left. Anyway, yeah. So you have to go do some interviews or something. I do. I'm preparing because Memorial Day travels coming up. And so I'm going to be talking to AAA, Washington, about gas prices, airfare. And they're still bracing for record numbers on the roadways and in the air this year. So I want to talk about how Washingtonians are adjusting to that. Did I do a sufficient job in selling that for coverage on our wake-up? Yes. So we'll have the interview today, and you can look forward to that tomorrow. Now, for you personally, what are you doing for Memorial Day? Do you work on Memorial Day? I'm working Saturday. Okay. Because the Dan collector, golf classic. So Dan is retired, fully retired. He's hung up the golf cleats, so to speak. But I've been asked to MC and be a part of that event. Carry on the tradition. In August, it's going to be amazing. And then we're going to do a Connect Center this Saturday on the wake-up show, Saturday edition, we'll be taking phone calls in our help center, hoping to get enough money where we want to get as many veterans out on the golf course when we have the tournament this coming August. That sounds wonderful. So that's it. My wife and my daughter, or they're taking off. They're leaving me. They'll come back, though. They're going to go see no doubt at the sphere. This was my daughter. Oh, my God. That's her Christmas present. Wow. So they're going to go to the sphere together, some mom and daughter time. Oh, wow. And then I'm going to be hanging out with my son, so we'll be batching it. And so, yeah, I'll be hanging out at home. Are you working Friday? Hey, it's Ryan Sechrest here, and I have discovered a fun to escape from the daily grind Chumba Casino. Chumba Casino has hundreds of social casino-style games, and it's all free to play anytime, anywhere, with daily bonuses. So get to chumbacasino.com. No purchase necessary. VigW group. Boy, we're prohibited by loss. See terms and conditions, 21 plus. I am working Friday. It's my birthday party. Hey, let's go. Do you have anything planned? Are you bringing a presentation? You know, we're going to have a big, big thing going on actually in Lewiston for you that day. We're going to have red, white, and blue, bunting around a baseball field. We're going to have pageantry. I think you bring in teams from all over the country for that. Baseball teams, Brad. Yeah, just for her birthday. In her honor. If you can pull that, I mean, I know it's short notice, but if it happens, you'll know that it was. And we should call it the Vista N-A-I-I-A-World series in honor of Molly Allen. Thank you. That's for you. In some of the wording, though, you may not see the words in honor of Molly Allen's birthday. No, yeah. They sometimes run out of space, but you know how that goes with stuff. Sure. What do you, when you blow out the candles, do you have like a traditional thing you wish for?

2:07:09

Or is it always different? Well, it's mostly casino related, and I hope that everybody understands that cash is king. There's no need to get creative with your gifts. You don't have to get creative. I'm not like, oh, they didn't think of me. Cash. Now, let me ask you this. No. No. What are these, if we were to cash these in? I mean, you could cash them in. I'm just thinking for someone that wants to get you something nice, but they are low on cash. How do you, I mean, are there? coupons that can be, I mean, if you say, say you go to Caruso's and you're going to spend $100. Right. You know, Kate or something. Yes. Well, this is 15% off. You are saving $15. So. It's kind of like a $15 cash prize. Quite a gift. We all agree. All agree. Thank you. It's quite a gift. Okay. Very generous. Thank you so much. I'm sure there's going to be like Dave and Molly Swag in my... You should have saved the golf swag bag for my birthday and presented it. Did you get your swag bag? Can you believe the best swag bags ever? Best love of me. Right? Thank you. Yes, thanks to our people. They're the best people. I want to ask you a question, too, about you coming back. Did you already restock your drawer from all the travel you had? No. Well, she did bring back some things that she gifted to us. I did. Oh, and I brought you something. Hang on. Oh, listen to, yeah, yeah. I think you're going to like this. Oh, yeah. I was thinking about you. It's a purse? And I brought you, no, no, no. A present from France that you brought? Hang on a second. This is, hang on to say, oh no, see, I'm gonna have to, it's a, it's a pen. I brought you a pen. Oh. And I brought you a dollar, which was a euro, but then I changed it back into a dollar. And then I... That's a 117 euro that she just gave you. Wow. I don't know what to say. And the pen, how thoughtful, says... Richard Skipper celebrates. Yes. Songs, stories, surprises, and much more. Oh, my gosh. I've been wanting that. So I don't even know how you knew my connection to Richard Skipper. I know how many of you like the color green and so I got you lighter. Oh. To light my birthday candles on. Because I don't smoke. Because when I said put that in your pipe and smoke it, you lit up. And so we knew that it's like. And now I know how to light it and smoke it. Or if you're at a concert, you can do this. Yeah. Right? Instead of the phone. Yeah, so anyways. Because you remember the time that I got kicked out of a concert practically at the Eagles concert using my phone light when they told me I couldn't do it. So you got me a lighter instead. Yeah, we, she thinks of these, you know, how she does. Also, if you wouldn't mind, could you please give this back to the, that's mine. Creative Department. Let me take care of that for you. It's yours. No, it's back to Luke. No, no, this goes back to Luke. I believe this is also. I'll take it if he doesn't want it.

2:10:05

No, it's not mine. I have the same one. Oh, how thoughtful, too. I was just needing to talk to Luke about the help center we're doing on Saturday. That's perfect. I think he gave me a block. We had a conversation, so I was supposed to bring that with me, but once you put your phone in it, you can't be on the phone anymore. You can't be on the phone and have that hooked up. Anyway, I didn't know how to work. And it's a gyroscope or whatever. But then he said, do you have a brick? And I said, a dongle. And he said, no, it's a brick. I said, the thing that attaches your thing to the wall is called the dongle. And then he said, I'm very uncomfortable with you using that word. I am too. Stop saying dongle. And I said, but it's a word. And he said, no, we call it a brick here. Yeah, they need to come up with new words sometimes. It dongles one of them. Yeah. So anyway, so if you don't mind, my gift to you is that you get to talk to Luke and the people and give that back. I am so proud and honored to be bestowed that honor upon me. Don't forget your dollar. He'll take it. He will. Well, yeah, he would. Yeah, why not? And then try Dirty Dr. Pepper. I am going to do it. Of all those, I'm doing the Dirty Dr. Pepper. Yeah, I'll wait until August. No, no, no, not August. I'll wait until next month, June, actually. Oh. Because I do the Soto Month kind of time. Oh, yeah. I'll make it special. Well, thanks for having me. Yeah. It's great to catch up. And Molly, I can't believe you're here standing after all that international travel. Yeah. Yeah. You wear it well. Thank you. I think I feel better than I look. I look pretty worn, but I feel pretty good inside. I think I got the right amount of sleep. Although I feel a wall coming. I feel a big wall. What a trip of a lifetime, though. It was. It was amazing to be with my family. And you'll never stop telling us about it. I mean, if you want to ask about my first class meal tomorrow or yesterday, I could tell you about my first class meal, but. Well, there is like, honestly, there are like situations where somebody comes back from a trip and they're like showing you photos on their phone. And then you're like on, okay, wrap. Like after a while you're like, okay, it's fantastic. But like here, like honestly, your trip. Like, I don't think people can get enough of it. I'm not being facetious at all. And I haven't put up any pictures at all. And the good thing about my friends, nobody will ask. They'll be like, oh, good, you're back. Okay, good. And then it just life goes on. And I do have some fun pictures to show. But it's hard because it's my family. And I have to get okay to. But I think I can so certain. Yeah. Yeah. So I haven't shared a single thing on. The only thing I did was. Call it them and I talk to you, but I haven't put anything on my social medias at all. We're like that with our family, too. Any pictures of our daughter? She's like, don't put that up. Immediately. Like, she is the gatekeeper on that. So I have an NDA with my daughter. Yeah. That's what ours. We got a big email about it. They're like, these are the rules. Know this, know that. And so we have, we.

2:13:03

Using your imagination. Notice how she uses we, we a lot now. Yeah. We, we. Some friends. On account of the French. You're, like, fluent now. Pretty fluent, you know. I've got a couple words. All right, the great Sam Adams. Thank you, everybody. So, you're going to do your interview. Yeah. And then we won't see you tomorrow. No. And then Friday and then, and then Saturday morning, special guest appearance. On the wake-up show with Sam Adams. I'll be there. A rare Saturday. 7 to 10 a.m. That's what we'll be taking your phone calls if you'd like. We'd love for people to call the help center. Again, this is for our golf tournament. This is making sure that our veterans get a day where they can just bond and be on the golf course. And thank you in advance for considering making those donations. We appreciate it. You're welcome. And then speaking of donations, here's for Molly's birthday. My birthday already started. Oh my God, the birthday week has begun. Actually, it is your birthday. Hang on. Make it too. Lower up special. But you can only use one per visit. All right, we're back after a break. We'll get into the entertainment news, which will include some of the France stuff from the Cannes Film Festival. Sure. And John's been everywhere. I know. You were with him over the weekend. It was. So we have lots to talk about when we return. The Dave and Molly show is live from the Numerica Studios.

2:14:38

Entertainment News. Brought to you by Golden Rule Break. Yeah, Golden Rule Break. Molly's back from France. Mm-hmm. And, oh, you should show that photo. That's a pretty cool photo. I don't know if I can. I... Oh, you can't show it. Oh, no, I can. I mean, my Uncle Jimmy sent it, but maybe this is the best way. I was going to have Quinn kind of... I was sending him a couple of things that I could send. I look ridiculous, but kind of grainy. But we were all, that was when he got the awards. Yeah. Yeah, it's awesome. We had like ugly cry faces on. And for people that don't know, he got the basically the Lifetime Achievement Award through the Cannes Film Festival and a surprise to him. Full surprise. And it was just what a... blessing it was to have all of his family members there and then to be surprised like that that's that's a life moment for sure as he said to get like for the can film festival to invite you is one thing for the president to want you there and like give you a pre thing is another thing and then for them to give you the palm door on top of it all it's yeah It's pretty good. And then he was on the Today Show. He's everywhere. Yeah. He's everywhere. So I don't know how he does it because the whole time we were there, he was like, you know, first of all of us traveling with him. So he's got worried about that stuff. Then he's doing all the press. And when after they did the actual, you know, showing the next day, he did press all day. And the next day after that, he did press all day. So he was, I don't know how he did it. So. But it's exciting. So I guess you get the adrenaline. So the night that the event is. So you're all, you guys are all there. There's the photo of you guys all there. He, the award, the surprise, very great. So then that night ends in that. film theater. Yeah. Where do you guys all go? And then how late into the night? Are you celebrating? Yes. Yeah. So we get as we get taken by Van, which is about 45 minutes away back to kind of where we were all staying, which he's at the hotel de Cap, the Eden Rock. We were at this other hotel I can't pronounce, but it was like five minutes away. So we all go to his hotel. Okay. And that is the iconic, you know, the place where... It's iconic. So he has a party. It's supposed to be a small party. Turned into a bigger party. So there are appetizers and drinks and stuff. And we stayed a little bit late. But the beauty of it was we could all go back to our hotel as we wanted to because, you know, it was late night. I don't know. He was out pretty late. And my Aunt Annie and my Aunt Margaret, I'm just going to call him out. They were out very late. The two of those little hussies were the last ones to stumble back to our hotel. And the Prince of Monaco is there. Prince Albert. They call him Albi or something like that. He was there. So that was kind of fun. And then, yeah, so it wasn't as late for us as it was for them. Hey, it's Ryan Sechrest here. And if you're looking for some serious fun, head over to chumbac casino.com. At Chumba Casino, you can play all your favorite social casino style games for free anytime, anywhere. It's the most fun you can have on your phone or computer. No purchase necessary. VGW room. Boy, we're prohibited by loss. See terms and conditions, 21 plus.

2:17:47

And that was a big deal. And then we had the first night, we had a family thing at our hotel, which was nice. Then we had that. Then we had one more family dinner at the end, back at that Eden Rock place. Okay. Which, you know, was a late dining experience, but beautiful. And for our viewers that on SWX, you may have not. heard this earlier, but I think your take on it was pretty good. You were, you know, when it was all over, and you're flying back first class, of course, from New York to Spokane. But when it's all over, you were not sad. No, I was not sad. Not sad that it was over, happy that it happened. And I was so glad to spend time with my family because I love my family. And I argue we could be in Denny's and at a, you know, Motel 6 anywhere. And we would still have the same laughs and have the same humor because that's what we all share. So I got to spend time with all of my different aunts and uncles in different situations. And our friend Lyndon Anson, our friend Crystal. So people were there and we all went on different journeys. And of course, I roomed with my mom. So there was one night we were very tired. And we said, We're having room service, and we're watching a movie. My mom and I watched the first 20 minutes of the same movie four nights in a row. And then we were out, just out. It was the Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, one. We're with Mandipede. Oh, it was a whole nine yards? No, not as good as it gets, but as... What is it called? It's Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton. He's dating Amanda Pete. Is that the one where Dan Keaton's naked? There's a scene where she gets caught naked. Yes. No, what is the name of the? I know the movie. It's a great movie. It's a great movie, but we watched the first 15 minutes, and then I look over my mom's asleep, so I turn it off. Then the next night, I think I fell asleep, so she turned it off. And then finally, she said, we should start it over again. I said, we're never getting through the first 20 minutes of this thing. But we also did a rewatch of Jerry McGuire while we were there getting ready for dinner one night. Classic. God, that's a good movie. Forget how many great lines were in that movie. And Cuba Getting, Jr. He was excellent. He earned that Oscar. She was excellent in that movie. He really was. And she was so cute. And Kelly was great. She's like, you know, and all that. So anyway, so those were the big nights. And then other nights, he had basically, like, have dinner at the hotel. And there was mostly outside dining and they'd give you blankets. And you'd sit outside and the wind would go through. Yeah, it was, something's got to give. Yes. Yeah, yeah. I was thinking as good as it gets, but that's the other one with, that's the other one with. The Helen Hunt. Yes. And what's his name? Greg Kinnear. Yes. Yep.

2:20:30

Oh, yeah, Prince Albert in a can. Ha, ha, get it? Prince Albert and Cannes. Yeah. That's what my granddaughters. Yeah. In the can. At the con. At the can. And that's the other thing we were educated on. It's can. No S, it's not con, not cons, not can. We were all saying it all different ways. And finally, we were sat down and we were all told it's canned. There is no S, it's not con, can. Can. And us pack a wild wolf's like we are. We're healing all kinds of stuff. No, everybody come here. Con us. We're in here. Yeah, we're in Kans. Partly Kanzas for us. They finally just had to be like. So just can. As simple as that. Okay. That's it. Which we had a hard time wrapping our heads around because we wanted to be fancier. Right. Yeah. So, but we got schooled. We got, you got to teach us these things. So anyway, I think we all behaved well. We didn't. There was no, you know, we all did what we were supposed to do. And we were happy to be there. And it was fun. And we had a pool day where we sat up by the pool. That was great. And I sent quite a couple pictures. I think I can send anything of just me I can send. And then. like that one that you saw and then of our where we were because now we're not there anymore so I can say it. Oh yeah. You know, I think there was security, which, you know, of course. Anyway, that was my trip. What else is going on in the entertainment news? He seems to be all that's happening in the entertainment news. There's a lot of him. Oh, my God. Well, one of the stories is about he's wearing berets everywhere. Yes. And it was cool to hear your take on that. His deal was that what he said was, well, I looked at the old-time directors, and this is the time I'm directing. I want to look like a director. Yeah. So he's wearing the bray. He looks great. Yeah. But you, I liked... what he told you was that, you know, there's all time-stamped situations when later in the years ahead, when we see photos of Kim and a beret, he'll instantly think of, oh, that was the time at Cannes with my family and everything. And I think that's really cool. Oh, I think it's perfect. And it's a very unique look and it's very distinct. And Ella has all different looks. She looks so beautiful on the Today Show this morning. She looked beautiful everywhere she went. She's so classic and just so good. Somebody said, it's such a relief to see a man of his age with a young woman on the red carpet. Who's his daughter? Yes, I saw that. That was awesome. Yeah. Because it's usually, you know, they're. Yeah. But he's there. She's a perfect match for him. They do very well. They know. what each other is going to say and all that. Yeah, they're fun. For people like me that didn't grow up with John Travolta, it's like he's such a big deal and like seeing him. And it's like, he's just a cool dude. Like he has just well liked and just he has a good rep. And he's always been really, really cool. It's funny, Mike.

2:23:34

Ken's granddaughter was house sitting for me while I was gone. She goes, oh my God, he's like a big deal. He was everywhere. I knew you were in France with him, but I had no idea. He was such a big deal or something. And I said, well, yeah. Yeah, definitely something. People of Europe love him. I love him. You probably haven't caught up on any Netflix. No. But we can tell you a huge deal for Kevin Hart. Little Kevin Hart. The Kevin Hart roast, 14 million viewers in one week. So that was pretty big. And then this other thing that was so short, the Rhonda Rousey Gina Carnaro fight. Did you hear about this? No. So 17 seconds. The fight lasts 17 seconds. That's going to make some people mad. Who, did she win? Rhonda Rousey won. She just beat the person up and then that's it. Yeah, and she hadn't fought in years. And yes, in 2016 was the last time that I saw her have like an official fight. Ken Hopkins likes her. Yes. Yeah, we talked about that. Yeah. So 17 seconds. So were there a lot of undercard fights? I had to be undercard fights before. But that's it. But the fight, but that, the moment or of the seconds that that that was on. 12.5 million live viewers, which for Netflix for live, that's pretty good. And they're going, no. But it was just like that. It was over. Wow. Who was the girl she fought? Gina Carnaro. And is she having a good, I mean, like, they weren't predicting 17 seconds. No, but, I mean, they each got millions of dollars, so. I would, I don't know. I'm trying to think if I would take, they said, look, millions of dollars and you're going to get in the ring with somebody like that. And it's only going to last, it'll be under a minute of torture. And you won't die. They're not going to kill you. Maybe a little brain damage. We're not sure. But, and you won't, she won't punch you in the mouth. So all your teeth will stay intact. You're going to, she's going to ring your bell for sure. Would you do it? Would you take a straight shot to the forehead? Yeah. And then, or she, it's kickboxing, right? Is it everything? It's anything. MMA. I think she tackled her, right? Yeah, and then just started. beaten her into submission or whatever they call it in that sport. Here's what I would ask for. I would ask for the, like, just put me out, you know, put me in a leg thing and then just, and then I wake up, and they hand me my million dollars and I go home. That's the way to do it. Pretty good. Yeah. And apparently the girl or the lady that she fought is a former actress and mixed martial artist. Apparently she competed in something called The Elite. extreme combat and strike force that was on TV. Oh. And apparently she's in like Deadpool movies and Fast and Furious and stuff. Makes random appearances. Oh. Yeah. So that's who she fought. I think it's going to be hard for her to get another fight. I mean, if you lose in 17 seconds to someone who hasn't fought in 10 years. Yeah. You know, what's... And that's somebody who's training every day, getting ready for the fight. Imagine what a normal person would be up against with somebody like that.

2:26:47

Scary. A couple other things. The 29th season of South Park will be on September 16th. Okay. And then this is on your turf here. Yeah. Survivor. So Survivor, they're having the live finale tonight. Yes. Okay. They say, the producers say that they invited all previous winners. But Richard Hatch. Who won the first one, obviously we all knew. He said he was not invited. Oh, on account of his... Legal problems. But anyway, so it's going to be a big event. But you're not going to watch it live. Well, now that I'm hearing that, I don't want to miss it. But here's the thing. Because it's all in the hands of the fans, last night when we watched the one from last week, two people, they did two vote-offs. And at the end, he said, it's still in the hands of the fans. It might be a live thing in Los Angeles. Or we might be doing it right here. There might be firemaking. There might not. So Lay left it very open. So if you're getting little tidbits like Los Angeles and then that means, then that's, you know. Hey, guys, it is Ryan. For years, Chumbas been set in the bar for online social casino fun and it just keeps getting better. With new games released every week and daily bonuses to collect, the fun never stops. So claim your welcome bonus now at chumbac casino.com. No purchase necessary. VGW. We're prohibited by law. See terms of conditions. 21 plus. What's happening? Yeah. I don't know. This doesn't say where... Well, I don't know. If they're inviting all the last winners, then it's got to be alive in Los Angeles. You know, they filmed this one two weeks after they filmed the last one. Because the one girl had just won, and nobody knew it because nobody had seen it yet. They go to Fiji, and they are, you know, they're... meeting her, but she didn't have to tell him she won. She just, she had just won, and then they put her right back on the show. Same with, there were like two people, two or three people from that season, they go straight back at it, which I don't know. Dang, that's a lot. Mm-hmm, yeah. It's $2 million. Yes. And you know the final five? I do. Okay. Do you want me to say the final five? Yeah, if you give them right. Well, and Jonathan. Yep. He's the big mammoth guy. You got Audrey. Yep. Aubrey. Aubrey. Then you have Rizzo. Yep. Or as he calls the likes to call himself Riz God. And then my favorite is Tiff. I like Tiff. And then the other guy that's still left. Hang on a second. Is Joe. Joe Hunter. Yeah. Nice. They will battle it out for $2 million. And then for the first time in six years, they will have a live reunion. Okay. There you know. Yeah. And so that I don't know if.

2:29:47

they will after COVID they shut down the live reunion but that still doesn't mean it may mean that they're still going to tell you who wins then go to the live or they're going to do all the jury stuff and then he takes the thing and he gets on a helicopter and he flies away and then he is at Universal. So they might not know until they get back. I think that that's cruel. I think that's hard. Yeah, that is. Well, if it's a three-hour deal, I got to believe that it's going to, the winner is going to be in that 10 o'clock hour or the final hour. They do it right. They do, they do it actually up front, but then the whole reunion goes till 11. I think. But I just don't know if they're going to do it all on the thing. We still have to get through the challenges and stuff. And here's the thing I've gone back and forth. I think that I like Tiff. She's my favorite. But I don't know if she can win. There's so much to go. Like there's so many little things. The Riz God guy, he still has an idol. He has had an idol for almost the whole season. And tonight is the last time he can play it. So he sat through last night's vote or last week's vote and it could have been to him easily, but it wasn't. Do the other people know he has it? Yes, they all know he has it. And he's just like, nope, I'm not going to play it yet because he's the Riz God. I'm not as familiar with the games they used to be. There's a lot of new things this year. I'm rooting for Tiff. I really like her. And I like Aubrey. Aubrey. She's been on it several times and she's made it almost. In fact, she made it to the final two basically and lost to somebody. Wow. So much survivor. Oh, it's a lot of drama. A lot of drama. When you go out of town and you're gone, what's settling is the dog, the casino, and survivor. All of a sudden I was like, and Ken, I was like, okay, I'm back. All the things I've got them here, the things that make my life go around. And then there's another Billy Joel biopic in the works. However, don't be fooled. He is very against this. Oh. Yeah. It's going to be called Billy and Me. It's told from the perspective of a guy who discovered him and managed him early in his career up until Piano Man, which is kind of the beginning of his superstar of him, I guess. It is unauthorized, and Billy Joel does not want this to happen. Okay. His representatives issued a statement saying that the people behind the movie do not have the rights to Billy's life, and they will not get the rights to his music. Oh, how are you going to do that without... I'm going to basically tell a story and with no Billy Joel music. No, that's not good. He, the rep, added that Billy has not authorized or supported this project in any capacity and any attempt to move forward without it would be both legally and professionally.

2:32:48

misguided. Okay. Strong words. Yeah, very. But doesn't it make you want to watch it even more? Yes. When it's like, well, we don't want this getting out. Yeah, for sure. And then we have from Rolling Stone magazine, this is really not our turf, but we'll just throw it out. Maybe people, maybe you guys would know more about this than we would. The Greatest Punk Albums of All Time. That is so punk rock. Yeah. School of Rock quote. It's got to be like Green Day. Black Flag. Duky. Green Day's Duky. That is, it did make number 20. 20. Oh, my gosh. So how about like Sid Vicious? Sex pistols. Sex pistols. I did see them on here. Yes. Number seven. Who else is punk rock? So here's the weird thing. So they have Nirvana. Yeah, I was going to say, I wonder if they qualify. Nevermind comes in at number nine. I don't know about that. Would like Pearl Jam be on there? That's grunge. Yeah, I know. Yeah, it's weird that Nirvana and Pearl Jam would not be in the same deal. Black flag. Black flag, very good. I saw him on here. Yeah. Number 11. Okay. The album was called Damaged. You know, for a while they put the go-goes in that category, kind of that, you know, but, no. Is like the strokes? Are they considered punk rock? I don't see the strokes. Susie and the banties? Are they considered it? The number one is the Ramones. I believe it was their debut album from 76, just called the Ramones. And then you have something called... X-ray specs. Oh, yeah. The Minutemen. Yes. The Clash. Yes. But it was the first Clash album that shows up on it. London Calling, which is the one of all the albums on it, I own one, and it's the Clash London Calling. That was in the like 15 or something. London Calling, they're really upset. London Calling, you need to call them back because they're very upset because they're from London and they're calling you. No? Can I just... No, not even close. Okay, but... Actually, London Calling is never... So the Clash is the only band that has two albums in the top ten. Okay. Okay. No, what were you going to say? Oh, it just reminded me because I felt like a Ron Burgundy voice, but watching, watching again. And I've seen it increment so many times. But I especially paid attention to the exchange when they had the Panther thing. Oh, yeah, yeah, yes, yes. And I was watching when he said that. How many percent of the time it works? 60% of the time. It works every time. And Will Ferrell says, that doesn't make any sense. And then he goes, well, let's see if I can make this kitty purr. And then I'll be running around. But all the little things. And then he doesn't say I'm impressed. He says. Right.

2:35:56

He says, I'm not even mad. That's amazing. Yeah. Yeah. And that's what I noticed that too last time I saw it. Yeah. It's like he never says that. But for whatever reason, everybody just says, I'm not mad. I'm impressed. And that's just, oh, well, that was Anchorman. Yeah. That's never said in the movie. Yeah. He says, yeah, I think he says, I'm not even upset. That's amazing. Yeah. And then the other thing. You know I don't speak Spanish. Yes, that was the one. Baxter. No, I'm not lonely. Yes, I met a lady. Yes, I did. And all of the flute. And you've broken my heart, Ron Burgundy. You have broken my heart. I love. Well, there's so many things. Yeah. But, you know. at the bar and everything, and everybody's, oh, you should play. No, I'm not prepared. I don't know, and he pulls the flute out of his sleeve, and then he starts playing like crazy. And the flames come out. And the best is that she does, she does this thing where she goes, oh. Yeah. She's like, nope, he's too cute. He's too cute. Do not. I love that she, like, she has to talk herself out of just stop it. No, he's hairy. And then the best is when they actually have a fight and she says, your hair is stupid or something. You have bad hair. Yeah. What? Blames come out. So good. So classic. And then they're going to fight, like a real fight. And then hang on, this is between the two of them. Yes, they can work it out. Like a man and a woman fighting. Like, this is real. We're going to let this happen, everybody. The other thing, because she brought it up the other day. So the guy from Esidel is standing there, and he goes, turns out Ling Ling is going to have a baby. And he goes, this is a big one. Yeah, yeah. Telling the news. but this is a big one. I'm the second-bye kind of charge. So many good things. We love Ron Burgundy. I don't know how we got it from punk albums to Ron Burgundy. It was because I was singing London Calling and it reminded me of... Oh, that's right. Of course. No, the London Calling, that album is actually great. Yes, I believe you. And that song, that title, it's got a... And it gets London calling. Right. You don't know the words either. It's very haunting. It's very haunting. And I'm calling the back. It's long distance. And I'm in the little box because it's London. And I have to ring, ring, ring. I'm delirious right now. No, I shouldn't even be on an airway. I hit a wall. I'm a little delirious. I may say terrible things. I don't know. You're not on the... Oh, the, you know, Gray's Anatomy, right? No, not anymore. Why would happen? Well, they're doing a new spinoff. Uh-oh. And it will be set in Texas. I don't know what that means. How are they going to do that? Who's going to be the star? I think there's going to be some carryover with some of the people on it. And I believe, let me confirm this, but it will be.

It's ABC television. They have given a straight two series order for a new Grey's Anatomy spin-off. Wow. The series is described as an edgy drama centered on doctors at a rural West Texas Medical Center. Oh, okay. Maybe have some oil injuries. Yeah, what if they do a crossover and Mad Men shows up? Billy Ball Thornton shows up. Remember when he got injured at the beginning of Mad Men and he just was like, remember he gets injured? He hits his thumb or something and not Mad Men. Landman. Landman, yeah. He gets injured and he just takes the gloves. Yeah. London calling you back. It's long distance. It's quite an attack. Ring, ring, ring. I've run out of your rows and I don't know what to do. It could go that way. You don't know. A lot of people on the text line, they're very, they like the clash. Oh, the clash, yeah. Oh, the clash. Anyway. All right. Hang on a second. I want to find out what London Calling lyrics are. Okay. Because, and what is the meaning behind? What are the lyrics? And the cover of the album is classic. It's a guy smashing a guitar on stage. Very punkish. Yes. London calling to the faraway towns. Now war is declared and the battles come down. London calling to all the underworld. See, they're calling. Don't look at us. Don't look at us. London's calling blah, blah, blah. Doon. Doodoo doodoo. Dun. London calling to the imitation zone. London calling to the zombies of death. They're calling everybody. London calling, I don't want to shout. London Calling C, we had hi, a lot of different London callings. So I could have been right. Yeah, if you would have just kept working through the lyrics, you would have, you know, you had the telephone thing, but that's close. That was a gimmy. That's too easy. All right, we'll do a break here. We will have our Hot Topic segment when we return. We'll get to that. And Hot Topics, you know, we just talk about birthdays. Well, Molly's got a birthday coming up on Saturday. We're going to celebrate it on Friday. So it's going to be crazy in here. Oh, you have so many things planned. We're going to find some decorations. I don't know where those are. But once we get those, we will have the studio. So it'll be a completely different look on Friday. Yes. And it's going to be great. And then I think.

2:42:14

Well, I'm taking Friday off, but Quinn will be here. Right. And it'll be great for Molly to have her birthday celebrated. Would you like me to decorate before I go on Thursday? I mean, you know where the decorations are. You'll be able to find them. You have a better eye for that stuff than we do. And that one will be everything you want. I mean, that way was no, take the guest work out. Might as well let the girl do it. It'll be super fun. So that will be a Friday show, which will include guest appearances and then also a song. There'll be some sort of a song. Right, Gwen? What do you have? Yeah. It'll be, I was telling Dave, I've been working on something. I don't know if it's going to be ready for Friday, but it's a song, a parody. And I might just have to have it ready for Friday at this point. You're going to have to have it ready. Because I think you'll enjoy it. I think you'll enjoy the theme of the song. I know I will. Just based on it. Dave always does good songs. I always look forward to your songs. Usually it's multimedia. He's got many people who come in and pop in. And he really remembers all the important things that I tell him over the year. And so that he really can tell me back, like remember that important thing. I'm guessing toilet smashing will be part of this songs. What if mine has only to do with toilets? Well, Quinn, if that's what you think of me, then fine. Well, I just think you're going to get a kick out of it. I don't necessarily think of you when I think of this, but I think you'll enjoy the premise of it. I like anything to do with poops and farts and toilets, so yes. That was my thought. Bring it on. Bring it on. London calling there are poops and faults. Your toilet is smashed. I had too much worrying and I missed her the bowl. Now you've got a flood, but I told you. Oh.

2:44:10

Yeah, it's going to be a great day on Friday, isn't it? Maybe I should get drunk. Yeah. Oh, wait. Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Just maybe. I don't know. I don't have a whole birthday weekend. I probably shouldn't start drinking. Hey, it's your birthday weekend. I think, you know, you make the rules. You get to decide. How about this? Hear me out. Well, I don't know. Maybe Friday's a busy day. What if we did a secret private show after the show show show? where I started getting tanked. Oh. Well, I am playing golf on Friday, so I have to leave. You suck. This is the worst birthday I've ever had. It hasn't even started yet. How do you know? Well... We don't even have the decoration time. I mean, you don't even have the decorations up. What time is your tea time? It's later. Like how later? 1.45. Oh, okay. Well, then you're planning on being here to celebrate properly afterwards. Oh, yeah. Oh, I'm all in for the birthday. Quinn's got the song and we'll have McDonald's in the morning that you... That I paid for already. You'll have all the decorations up. I mean, it's going to be your day. I'll have the cake that I'm asked to pick up last minute the night before because you forgot. It's all about malls. It's all. Even your daughter is calling me malls now. She wrote on the text line. I was talking about food in different countries. And she goes, you're absolutely right, Maltz. Food is way better. Well, it's a bad. I've started saying it on the show kind of as a joke. And now we are like, we were doing the thing with your family with Leslie's podcast. And I'm like, hey, Mals, how's it going? And I'm like, I'm saying that. She doesn't like that. You know what's funny? The one person is Kelly who's in the movie who was in the pocket. She has a sister Molly who she calls Malls. So if she called me Malls, I don't get upset because I know it's just how she says Molly. Yeah. But when other people say Mals, you, the rage. I mean, just, you just, you become unhinged. I mean, the stuff that she said about you, Quinn, when you said, when you called her malls? I saw the smoke coming out of her ears as soon as I said it. I was very surprised. Well, yes, it's very, here's the one thing, though, I realized that my mom calls me Bobby, my Aunt Margaret calls me Bali. Our friend Linda calls me Malina. And then Annie calls me something else. They all have different names for me. So it's funny when you're with your family. You remember all the little names and stuff, which is good. Yeah. I like you. I think there's an endearing quality to malls. Yeah. That's why we're going to keep using it. You know what happened is that somebody who I didn't know very well used it. And that's when they ruined it. They did. And it's true that some people call me Molly Girl. There's a couple of my friends who call me Molly Girl. And so it's fine. I think that that one, she also prefaced it by saying, I mean, this is cute. And I was like telling her about a grown-up thing I was learning to do. And I thought, I said, what's cute about that? And you don't know me. Don't call me malls.

2:47:17

Anyway. So Friday, be here for Molly's birthday birthday show. It'll be great. Yep. Carefully crafted decorations that will be hung with care by Molly herself, so you'll know they'll be extra good. And it's exactly the way she would have wanted it. Right. We don't want to make a mistake. You guys aren't mind readers. Yeah, exactly. So that'll be fun. So make a note to join us for that. All right, we're back after a break. We'll get into Hot Topics. When we return, the Dave and Molly show is live from the Numerica Studios. Hot Topics. Brought to you by Clark's Tire and Automotive Center. All right, let's check our Hot Topics. And again, we always start Hot Topics with birthdays, and Molly's birthday's birthday's right around the corner. Oh, yes. Very excited. Saturday. We'll celebrate it. Well, she'll celebrate it on Friday. Quinn and I will be off that day, but I'm sure you'll have a great day. Oh, yeah. Everybody. Now, speaking of birthdays, there's a couple of people that have a birthday today that are part of your world. And we'll get to that. It's like it's all, you were meant to be connected. Okay. We will start with her 45th birthday today, the lovely Rachel Platten. We love Rachel Platten. Mm-hmm. Very nice. Super fun girl. You did, she's the one that you did the news with, right? No. No, no, no. That was Colby. Colby, yeah. But Rachel Platten got it my snuggy. Yep. Did she? Yes. I think she did. This is my fight song. And she was great. And she, I think she did a couple of those little studio things. And I went to one of them. But the, the. other ones that I didn't go to, people absolutely loved her and just said she is just the best. Yeah. So super nice to everybody and it was great. So happy birthday, Rachel. Somebody was just taking a picture of others. I don't know what we were doing. Must be doing a tour of the studio. Oh. And then, are you ready for this? You want to win a dollar? Oh, okay. All right. Celebrating his 65th birthday today. All right. From the world of music. Yes. Who is Nick Hayward? Bubba Wallace here from 2311 racing. You know what's slower than a pace car? Waiting at the car wash. That's when I fire up Chumba Casino. It turns those slow minutes into fast fun. With new games every week, you'll never get bored. VGW Group Ford, where prohibited by law, 21 plus, terms and conditions apply. Fine young cannibals. Boom. Final answer? Yes. Wrong. Dang it. He's from a... You're going to be mad when you hear it.

2:50:30

Haircoat 100. Yes. Damn it. Second guess. That's one you always say. I know. That's why I only offered a dollar, but the money is safe. Jane Wheatlin, I know that you know who she is. Go-Go's, I love her. She is 68. She may have been my favorite one. And then, oh, you watched the... Marty Short thing? Most of it. Not all of it. Celebrating his 77th birthday today is Dave Thomas. Oh, yes. And he's in there. He remained friends with Martin Short for years. Dave Thomas is 77. He is not the Wendy's Dave Thomas, but he was the Bob and Doug McKenzie guy and the SCTV guy. I love Bob and Doug McGonzie. Yeah. Yeah. That's funny. Yeah, that's pretty good, right? Yeah, that's pretty good. He is part of that. Yeah. And then celebrating her 80th birthday today. Here we go. Right up your alley. Oh, no. Share. Oh, can you believe it? Ooh. Yeah. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday to me. Right? Something like that. That was great. So here's a little thing. So Anna Gastar was on the same Jimmy Fallon with Dawn last night. Okay. And Amy Gastar is in a show called, it's a, I can't think of the name of it, but not Brigadoon, but Shrimidoon or something. It's like a mock theme. She's nominated for Tony. And so they're talking about how she and Will Ferrell on the reunion show, they were talking about the SNL reunion show, and they did their Altadena Middle School. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So she shows a picture of them. She's got the striped dress on and everything. Well, she is in a dressing room between Cher. and the main guy who was married to Gwyneth Paltrow, a Coldplay guy, Chris Martin. So she said, and she said, everybody's looking at us like, who the hell are these people? Because if you don't know the bit, you don't know the bit, and there's all these musicians. And she said, as she walked by, she touched Cher's hair. She said, it was like touching the royal crown. It was like she just kind of touched her one of her wigs or something like that. But Anna Gassar was very funny. It's called Shrimadoon. Anyway, it's a set-up on all different musicals, and it looks really funny. Good for her. Yeah, it's great. Yeah, she was wrong right after. I have that Jimmy Fallon recorded, so I could watch that segment because I watched the John one. She was very funny with him, because they're old friends from S&L. Yeah, yeah. That was during his time. Yeah, for sure. But Cher is 80. Can you believe that? Don't touch my hair. Listen. My hair. And then he's no longer with us. He passed away 12 years ago, and I think we need to keep some of the things that we do on the show. You always know, it's sort of conditioned response. No longer with us, but today would have been the birthday of Joe Cocker. I'm not. Cocker.

2:53:40

Jake. Joe Cocker. Nice to meet you. That's right. I remember my parents went and saw him when he played in Buffalo when we were kids or something like that. And us little eight to 14 year old boys, they just said his name. And we had a field name. That's not his last name. And it was like, so we started saying that all. Because we're like, well, it's just the last name. It's not a word. Of course. Like when you ask the kids if they want Dix hamburgers, anybody want to go to Dix? And then the. Yeah. Grow up. Yeah. We don't laugh at such things. Grow up. Right? Well, we still can laugh. We do. We still can laugh. So we were on our little trip and we were all sitting at dinner. And Ella and her friend, they were all sitting across from me. And it was kind of loud. And I said, I'm really full, but I'm going to have some more wine. So what does that tell you about me? And they both looked at me and they went, yeah, sup, Leah. And I said, what? And they thought I said, I'm going to have more wine. Sup, player. And what I said was, what does that say about me? And they completely misheard me. So the rest of the time, they're like, sup, player, what's going to happen to you? I said, why? What world? I'm not. So I was talking to them, and they were across the table. And I said, I'm going to have some more, I'm full, but I'm going to have some more wine. So what does that tell you about me? That was what I said. What they heard was, I'm going to have more wine. Sup, player. And I was like, how did you miss here that? So they thought I was trying to be cool. So for the rest of the trip, they kept saying, yes, up, player. You want some nuts player? I'm like, you guys, I said, what does that say about me? They just misheard it so badly. So anyway, I said, yeah, like, I would ever say those words. We were, and we were talking about how, because before I left, we were talking about how no girls do, high five. Right, right. No girl does a bore out impression. No, no, and there's a lot. I mean. Hello, it is Ryan, and I was on a flight the other day playing one of my favorite social spin slot games on Chumbacasino.com. I looked over the person sitting next to me, and you know what they were doing? They were also playing Chumba Casino. Everybody's loving, having fun with it. I do think we do Ron Burgundy, and I like to do Dr. Evil, because pretty standard stuff. It's just fun to do. But I would never say sup player ever. Like, that's not something I would say. That's why it was funny. It's very funny. It's very funny. Anyway, I'm the sup player girl now, apparently. Sup player. Now, now, that gives us a new fuel. And they looked at me, they're like, yeah, sup. What? Nothing much. What's up with you, player? Yeah, how are you player? How are you doing tonight, player? I don't know. And then another guy who no longer with us, but another one of your world-famous impressions. Jimmy Stewart. Oh, well, well, you can still celebrate me. It's my birthday for Pete's sake. And I hear you guys have something special plan. Well, what's a birthday unless you're two best pals? Throw you something special. And that reminds me of my imitation of Alice from the Brady Bunch, which brings me back to the Jam Brady book. And I'm coming to the conclusion that I... Hopefully you haven't... Have you arranged for her to call or not? No. No? You promise? Promise. Promise. I don't want her to call. I don't want her to call. Oh, well, yeah, we had, it was, I mean, it was in the works. Yeah, I was going to call her and ask, but then I actually read the book, and I was like, I don't think Molly's going to have the same taste. Yeah, me too. I did that. I was like, let's just avoid it. Yeah, we read the book together. Yeah. We listened to the book together, and we read it to each other. So we decided after reading a book to each other that we're not going to do that. I don't want to put you through that. I don't know. I know Molly number 50 is the only other person I know who is read and or listen to it. So I want her opinion because she said she felt like she was very revealing at the end, which I have like 45 minutes left to listen to it. But I want to know Molly, number 50, if you had the chance to sit down and have lunch with her, would you? That's what I want to know. And are you saying that you wouldn't? So far, right now I'm leaning towards, I don't think so. Yeah. Don't meet your heroes. And I think that's, well, that's the thing, because there are people that I think I admire their talent and they were a big deal. But do I, I don't even want to meet them. Like, I don't, I don't really, it was going to be. uncomfortable, awkward, and I might even just dislike them as a person. So there's people that I have in my head that are that. So I get that. And I would, I respect her career. I respect all that, but I would want to nerd out about the Brady Bunch stuff. And I will want the freedom to nerd out about it. And I don't think that she would like that very much.

But I will say here's what's interesting. They did these specials and she had to say no to one of the specials because she was contracted to do a movie of the week, not because she didn't want to be associated with the Brady Bunch. Then Susan Olson had to say no to one of the reunion things because she was getting married. And so she had to say no. So they make it look like, oh, you don't want to be associated with the Brady Bunch anymore. But really. They're busy doing other things. Interesting. So, yeah. But I'm curious to see how Molly feels about it. Yeah. So that's it. That's too bad. Well, it's not. I mean, I just think, I don't think she would like me. That is what I think. I don't know. I don't think she'd appreciate how much that show means to me and all of that. Yeah. Molly says yes. Okay, here we go. She agrees? She says yes. I wouldn't choose her as a celebrity, but it would be interesting. Yeah. Like if you could have lunch with anybody. Right. I don't know. Yeah. And Brandy, she has her own, you know, meteorologists on staff, so she doesn't need me. Yeah, because that's what you do with her. Talk about weather.

3:00:42

Anyway, let's take you back 716 years ago. The year is 1310. Remember this? Good year. Yep, very good year. According to legend, different shoes for the left and right feet were produced for the first time ever. Before that, all shoes were cut exactly the same. That's crazy. Well, I guess it's good if you're confused in the morning. You don't mess it up. It doesn't matter. Were clogs left and right, or were they just clogs? Clogs are left and right. Don't they? I think so. I just, I don't get the clog thing. I mean, I know it's all about comfort and all that kind of stuff. No, I'm talking about the wooden clogs, like from Holland, like the original clogs. Well, I think they had to be for right, because this is 1310. I can't believe that was like an issue back then that they even thought about it. Yeah, there's a lot of other things to worry about in the year 13-10. Well, we've got to have good shoes. Probably went to Kenny's shoe store. And also, while we're at it, what are we going to wipe our butts with? This leaf thing is bad. It's terrible. And there's only so many squirrels nearby. Yeah. Grab them really fast. And boy, they get angry. It's a bad deal for the squirrel. They come back to the little den. They're like, stand, did they get you? Yeah. Told you never go around. You can't be too slow. You stink. Get out. Well, they had to have been pretty clean. According to Google, they were using leaves and corn cobs to clean stuff out. How dirty could it be, I know. And then you think about all the medicines we have now for all the little ailments. You know, like, just for the butt area, all the different, like, little creams and things. If they were using corn cobs and we're worried about, you know, dude wipes and stuff like that. The life expectancy back then was... You could die from a bad wife. Yeah. You wipe for the wrong thing. You're done. That's true. And if you were miserable with hemorrhoys and stuff, you didn't have that long to live anyway, so it didn't matter. Yeah. Anything could kill you. Shifting gears. Yeah. You know, just in the nick of time. 153 years ago today, the year is 1873. Levi Strauss. Yeah. And Jacob Davis, the very forgotten Jacob Davis, they received a patent for blue jeans with copper rivets. Okay. So whatever happened to Jacob Davis? What did it? Bad wipe. He picked the wrong thing on the wrong day. And that was the end of him. No, what happened to him, really? We don't know.

3:03:30

Oh. Yeah. But that's always like a fun fact is that Levi Strauss is a name that has lived on forever. Right. For 150-some years. Yeah. But it was him and another guy that first did that. What was the guy's name again? I'm going to look him up. Jacob Davis. There's probably like 15. Yeah. Look up. When it says Jacob Davis, also look up bad white. I just, that's one theory. That's just only one theory. It could be wrong. Apparently, he sold his patent and his share, or his share of the patent for Levi and Strauss Co. And then continue to work with them until he died in 1908, but he sold his part of it back to them. I wonder how much he got. I don't know. Well, and the truth is 1908, if he died, they hadn't made their, I mean, Levi Strauss really. Yes, they were the thing then, but became hugely popular later, the estates that really benefited. Yeah. But I think it was still a thing back in the early days. I mean, that was, and it was, I believe it was in California. It was like gold rush. Oh, yeah. They made them for like the gold rush people. Oh, yeah. Or her, anyway. 110 years ago today, stay with me on this. 1916 is the year. Kodell, Kansas was hit by a tornado. Okay. 109 years ago, 1917, Codell, Kansas, hit by a tornado, exactly one year after it was hit by its first tornado. Okay. Then? No. A year later. No. 1918, on the same day, hit by a tornado, exactly two years after it was hit by its first tornado, and one year after it was hit by its second tornado, the third tornado, most destructive, killed 10 people and wiped out the town. Kodal, Kansas. They had just rebuilt. Every year they had the tornado. That's insane. Don't you, after the first year, say, I don't know if we should build here again? And then they say, no, it should be fine. Then the second one comes through. Then you say, Now we shouldn't build her. And then somebody in the town crier goes, what are the odds? And build it again. I think it was like those people say, we're going to have our golf tournament on May 20th. It's going to be great. Oh, a little bit of wind predicted. Oh, she's. Well, we're going to give everybody a rain check for next year. Next year, come on now. If you missed last year, we had some high winds. We had a tornado. It's fine. We're going to do it again. And then you get to the third year. Oh, boy. It was probably. People on the golf course that got killed. Probably. The 10 that died. It's a bad deal for them. Yeah, it is. 99 years ago today, this is, we're coming up on the 100th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh. He took off from New York in the spirit of St. Louis in his attempt to become the first person to fly nonstop across the Atlantic. Okay. He landed safely the next day in Paris, France. Paris, France. And was awarded $25,000. Oh, my gosh. That's a lot of money. Yeah.

Was that something that was discussed whilst I was gone? The swimsuit issues were discussed. Yes. I don't think we actually meant if we said that thing. I don't think we're going to rank them. Natasha says you guys were. She said, I got back just in the nick of time that you guys were going to start ranking bathing suit specials. I don't think we were, but I trust Natasha a lot more than I trust my own memory. You guys don't listen to the other show. We didn't say it vocally, but I have my list. I mean, I got the top 25 here. No, that's not what we do. Is that propaganda and hearsay? That's propaganda. If it was said, it was meant as a joke. Okay. as a joke. It was when Ken was in. Yeah, Ken was in. And we were talking about how we remember. We were both kids that had Sports Illustrated, sports illustrated subscriptions. And there was, you'd come home from school and be like, oh, this is great. It's, you know, it's Muhammad Ali or it's a basketball guy. So it's always very exciting. Well, then, all of a sudden it shows up and there's just a bikini model on the cover. I was like, oh. I was shocked by that. I was like, you guys were just, it was just part of the normal subscription. Everybody got to the house. Yeah. Now it's a different deal. That's not. I don't think that. I think there has to be a warning and a paper bag around it and all kinds of stuff. There was some outrage. But the thing was, it was for years, decades, where that was their single biggest selling issue. Sure. Of course they're going to keep doing it. Well, why wouldn't they? Yeah. Right. So, but we, yeah, we wouldn't rank them. Let's rank them. Let's rank them. Yeah. We get past the top 30 and then it's really hard to like. Remember their name. Yeah. Right. All right. Just checking in, checking in the line, making sure everything's fine. Yes. And then, so we mentioned the Charles Lindberg thing. So that's 99 years ago. Okay. So he flies across the Atlantic. It's a very big deal, you know. Huge. Yeah. Fanfare and all the kinds of stuff. Five years later, Amelia Earhart takes off from Newfoundland, headed for Ireland. She landed in Londonderry, 15 hours later, making her the first woman to fly across the Atlantic by herself. A girl. And when they give her a nice swift smack on the behind. Nice going, little lady. And she was in a bikini on the cover of sports. Oh, it's great. Yes, her life is complete. That was her reward. Amelia, you just flew across the Atlantic. What are you going to do now? Pose for a swimsuit edition. Hopefully, if I get in, what did they give for? What was her reward?

3:09:57

Uh, that I don't know. She got to vote? Yeah, other trips didn't turn out so well. Did they let her vote? Not yet. She could vote at that time. Oh, good. Okay, all right. That's good to know. 1920 was the year that. Yeah, and this was what year? Uh, 1932. Oh, she had been voting forever. Oh, yeah. That's what gave her the power and the confidence to be able to go across the Atlantic like that. That's pretty good. What do you find in Quinn? He's researching something. I'm trying to research. But I guess I should have thought about what I was typing in because it's just showing me stuff for the Amelia Earhart Award, which they now give for flying stuff. But I'm trying to see what she was given. But I'm not finding anything. Yeah, what did she get? What is there? Somebody will text it in. Yeah. What did she get? Besides just an add-a-boy or an att-a-girl. Mm-hmm. That's like from the Ron Burgundy in the bar. Girls can do stuff now. Yeah. Apparently, according to this. It doesn't say anything about any money or anything, but she got herself a Distinguished Flying Cross Award card. See, she got the Flying Cross Award card. That's apparently... And he got $25,000. Yeah, that's all I can find on here. She got a little pin. A card? She got a card. Yeah, it's literally like it looks like a library card. She got a library card. Yeah. And he got $25,000, which is the equivalent of half a million dollars right now, probably. Yeah. Probably. And she got a card. Yep. And you think that women were always treated equally. I mean, I guess they said, well, you are getting a vote, little lady. So maybe she said, well, that's good enough. And thanks a lot for the card. I'm so grateful to you all. Thanks, men. But now, hear me out. Okay. They don't put men on the cover of Sports Illustrated in swimsuits. So there, who's the winner now? See, they get to do stuff that's really fun. You know what? You're right. What am I trying to do here? Stir up trouble. Why do I do that? We have our things. We should feel very lucky. You guys are really good at that too. Yeah. You're the best. When Ron Burgundy runs back and he goes, I'm here. You can do the news. We've already done it. The most amazing thing has happened. I did the news and I nailed it. What did you do? I told you I wanted to be an anchor. I thought you were joking. I even wrote in my journal. Veronica made the best joke last night. That's so good. And then you get to be on the cover, sometimes on the cover, if you're really attractive. You do get to pose in your feelings. No, no. I think you remember this. 37 years ago today, it was a Saturday night. Yeah. 1989, Toontes, the Driving Cat, debuted on Saturday Night Live. Toonst is the Driving Cat. Have you seen Tootis? The Driving Cat. I have heard of this, but I don't think I know it. I don't even ever actually seen it. There must have been.

3:12:59

Ten of them at least. Maybe 15, but it was like a bit where it was a car. It was a cat that could drive a car, and they would all get in the car with the cat. The whole premise is crazy, but the bit sort of became its own bit. And then it always ends up with the car going off a cliff. It used to be Kevin Nealon and usually the blonde. It was Victoria Jackson. Yes. And they'd let him drive. Tunes says, no. You'll have to watch a couple of those. Yeah, I will. Oh, it's so silly. And sometimes Tunes would be smoking. His little paws would be up. But they'd have a real, they'd have like a real cat some of the times. But then it would just be a stuffed animal. Tunes is no. You've seen Debbie Downer, right? I don't. Oh, you got to look at Debbie Downer. That's another good one. That was one that I almost had to change my whole strategy in theory for Saturday Night Live because the Debbie Downer bit was the last bit. one night. And I happened to, and then I, I mean, it was gold, comedy gold. And then I think like two weeks later, it was one of the starter bits, you know. Now, was there an S&L this last week? Yeah, it was Will Ferrell. And Paul McCartney. Oh, my God, I have that recorded. Okay. And I won't say anything, but I want to get your take on the musical performance. Oh. Yeah. Paul McCartney. Okay. Yeah. I already know what I'm going to think, but all right. See what you think. 33 years ago today, more than 80 million people watched the final episode of Cheers. Yes. Toward all ended for Cheers, 1993. So good. It is the second highest rated series finale ever, just behind MASH, a record that will never be broken. Right, for sure. And then Seinfeld. Oh, wow. So Cheers was ahead of Seinfeld. Yeah, that makes sense. MASH, Cheers. Cheers, Cheers, Seinfeld. Makes sense. Cheers did a good job with their finale. Yeah. They did. That's fun. And then the classic deal, and you can see this on YouTube or anywhere, they all went on the Jay Leno show. after, and they were all tanked. Yep. And it was not good tanked. Nope. It was a mess. It was a total mess. Total disaster. They had fun. But it was quite the spectacle for late-night viewing. It was very entertaining. They said that was a very fun cast. Yeah. Very fun. Yes. It was 23 years ago today that Weird Al Yankovic released his album Poodle Hat. Excellent. I don't know which ones are on that one, but I'm sure it's classic. It included Couch Potato, the parody of Eminem's Lose Yourself. Yeah, that's a good one. Oh. And how does that one go? I'm actually not forgetting the chorus of how he does the... I got to brush up on my Weird Al. Yeah, it's time for my birthday. Yeah, well, that's what I'm channeling for the birthday song. Excellent. Mm-hmm.

3:15:59

See. In television notes tonight, as Quinn knows, it's game two of the Western Conference finals, the Thunder and the Spurs. You claim that the game one was one of the greatest games that you ever saw. Greatest games ever and best game I've probably watched in a decade. So watch Game 2. It's going to be great. NBA's popping off right now. It's back. What? It's up, dogs. It's up, player. Play it. Stop playing. And as Molly knows, tonight is the 50th season finale of Survivor. Oh, my God. I don't know what I'm going to do. Three-hour spectacular. I think we have to save it for tomorrow. Can't save it for the whole week, and we have to save it for tomorrow. Yes. We'll record it tonight. Late night tonight, Jimmy Fallon has Sasha Baron Cohen. RuPaul and Sarah Sherman will be on with Jimmy Kimmel. I like Sarah Sherman. Hi-five. Bruce Springsteen will be on with Stephen Colbert. This is his second to the last show. Tomorrow night is his last show. And then you mentioned Amanda Pete. Amanda Pete will be on Seth Myers. I like Amanda. I saw something on Amanda Pete. She is anti- makeup and facework. Oh, good for her. And I saw her on some kind of interview show. She was hilarious. But she talks about that. And I think that's pretty cool. And when you look like her, who needs it. So good for. Very Pete. Very Pete. All right. We got to wrap up things for today. What's Molly going to do in her first full day, full day back on American soil? I think I got to catch a nap, clean up my house, start down pack, and then I have grandparents stay at 2 o'clock. Oh, boy. Middle School, just in time. Very excited. And then he's going to come and hang out with me for a few hours afterwards. Coyne's going to watch exciting hoop action. Yeah, exciting hoop action. Trivia night tonight, so a great night. Oh, yeah, we'll have to get a full report. Yep, we'll have a full report in the morning. The golf day? Today? Not today. No, I got to catch up on a few more things. But I am playing Friday, and I might try to play tomorrow. Okay. If you get all the birthday stuff done, then you can play tomorrow. Well, you've got the decorations. I guess that up and stuff. All right, have a great day, everybody. We're back tomorrow. Have a wonderful day. The Dave and Molly show will be live tomorrow at 6 a.m. From the Numerica Studio, this has been the Dave and Molly Show, brought to you by Northern Quest Resort and Casino. And remember, if you miss this show or any other show, you can always find them wherever you get your podcasts.
