No streak here or prevent any disease. Last week, wrapped up with a number of opinions coming out of the U.S. Supreme Court as they finish off their session for 2025 and 2026. As one of the opinions that came out wasn't even the majority opinion from the Supreme Court, but a 91-page dissent from Justice Clarence Thomas on birthright citizenship. After a 6-3 split vote saying that anybody born on U.S. oil is an American citizen regardless of the status of the parents, the opposing opinion that came out is really one that will go in the history books as one that could curve the opinion of future Supreme Court justices. the same time after the backlash from many conservative activists and elected officials on the opinion from the Supreme Court, there's now been a new push from conservatives to just block all types of immigration, including student visas, work visas, and temporary status visas, saying that if anybody could just have a kid to remain here for the rest of their life, then we just won't bring anybody at all. And as a nation that is a melting pot that is the most generous nation on the face of the earth, that's not necessarily the best policy, but sometimes you just have to draw the line in the sand. The big question is, when will Congress actually pass a new constitutional amendment to redefine who's an American citizen?
