Good job on their part on money being spent and donated to Gavin Newsom on foreign trips. I'm going to get into some of that, raising more questions about is California's pay-to-play state. That has become a hot topic in the last couple of weeks, has it not? Before we get to that, and before we get to the Save America Act and what's going on with the pressure there, let's go to the live line. Dan is joining us from Lincoln on this Thursday. Dan, thanks for calling in. What's on your mind? You remember what the translation was for the National Workers Party in Germany, right? I don't. in National Socialists Workers Party, N-A-Z-I, in German. Now, led by a young charismatic individual who tried to tell us for all the things that were wrong with our society and how he could correct them. Yeah, I know you're going with this one. First thing he... Yeah, the first thing we wanted to do was wondering out, how long is it before we have thugs who roam the streets to try and harass people? How long before they try to tell us that the law isn't the law, and it should be changed? Yeah. How long before they identify a social enemy that we can all rely on? fighting against. Look, I think that history is replete with a whole host of figures who have made empty promises that can't be fulfilled because people are desperate and they buy into it, Dan. We can only hope that the people who try to buy into it realize what it is they're doing before it's too late. I agree. I agree. We don't need to repeat anything like this before we get out of control and not be able to stop it. Yeah. No, those are all good points. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. These three socialists who were elected by Democrats, this is something to take notice of. This is not just a one-off event. And it's to exactly what we just heard. So we're going to get into that in a second. California Post, interesting reporting about Gavin Newsom and his trips overseas. uh from wealthy donors and special interest help fund fifty seven thousand dollars worth of flights hotels and meals for his global profile remember he went to davos he was in munich and london fifty seven grand went for those trips overseas trips that was at the world economic forum in switzerland which by the way didn't turn out so well for him he went and scolded world leaders

seven out of ten democrats almost nine out of ten republicans all for it all of them for it and you're going on a break because you want to know why the senate majority leader John Thune does not want to take this up and does not want to fight for it and that is very obvious and i said when all of this started This may be the undoing of his political career, and we may now, for the very first time, be at the point where we are seeing the beginning of the end for his political career. This is what has just been posted today by Scott Pressler. If you're not familiar with Scott Pressler, this is a guy who goes around the United States of America and organizes Republicans. in states on key votes in key states he started in pennsylvania that's where he got his name and his reputation he moved on to other states where he has been extraordinarily influential in organizing republicans for the vote and he's got a voice and here's what he just sent out online by the way I'm on the way to South Dakota right now to hire field staff to ensure Senate Majority Leader John Thune has a Texas-sized primary mobilized against him in 2028 unless, of course, he passes the Save America Act. Pressler's going. Pressler threatened to go. This was a couple of weeks ago, and when he made that threat, when I saw that, I thought you've got to watch out. This could very well happen. And that's why I brought it up on my program that John Thune could be in trouble politically over this. And now Pressler is going to South Dakota. He is going to start to organize. He's had enough. He's seen enough. And he's right. John Thune is, John Thune's an obstacle. There's no question. He's a, he's a rhino. He's part of the deep state and he doesn't want to change it. He likes the voting system the way it is. He does not want to change it. He does not want to make it more secure. Make it more safe. Require photo ID. Require proof of citizenship. The same stuff they require to get into the Democrat National Party Convention. The same thing they require to get into the Obama Library, which just opened up near Chicago. Yeah, you have to have a photo ID to get into there. Okay, I want to roll up a little bit more from Thomas Sol. I heard from a listener who said, Sam, total agreement on Thomas Sol, everyone should read him. I started reading him 15 years ago. He is absolutely the best. So that's the portion of the text on Thomas Soul I wanted to share with you because he's an economist, and he has been doing interviews and written books for years and years and years, talking about the importance of capitalism and the success of America as opposed to countries that have had socialism and communism. So this is from an interview that he did with the Hoover Institution. This was about seven years ago where he dismantles an argument from Senator Bernie Sanders on the need for socialism or communism. Here's a quotation from, you'll get the idea. Here's a quotation from Bernie Sanders, the Vermont senator who nearly won the Democratic presidential nomination. Quote, quoting Bernie Sanders, while there are some great corporations,

This is the question of causation versus blame. While there are some great corporations trying to do the right thing, in my view, and I say this very seriously, the greed of the billionaire class, the greed, this is not supposed to be funny. I say this very seriously. The greed of the billionaire class, the greed of Wall Street, is destroying the lives of millions of Americans, close quote. What do we make of that? It's astonishing, but I think even more astonishing, is how many people voted for Bernie Sanders at a time where in socialist Venezuela, people are starving. They're breaking into stores and they're desperation to get some food. They're crossing the borders into other countries to stave off starvation. In a country that has one of the world's largest supplies of oil, that they've managed to do that in that country. utterly insulated from facts that the fact that Bernie Sanders paints a very beautiful picture is all that matters. Just go look at the facts. Look what Venezuela was under socialism and communism. And they had all that oil and all that wealth. Look what happened to the people there. That's just one example. Thomas Sol. He is worth a look. Are you thinking about moving out of California? I'm going to go over some of the places in America, cities and towns where they will pay you to move right here on the same reaction. California posts with an interesting article that they're moving at this hour. Headline reads massive breakthrough for California oil. Has desperately needed new sources get green light. They're going to look like they're going to get more oil rolling in California. A major federal decision has cleared the way for new oil and gas leasing on public lands across central California. Bureau of Land Management, BLM, agency within the U.S. Department of Interior. Of course, this is the Trump administration. They have announced now that they have finalized an updated management plan governing oil and gas leasing development in federal lands in portions of Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, San Luis, Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura counties. The decision allows agency to restart oil and gas leasing within the Bakersfield office region. It ends a year-long pause over legal challenges. Federal officials says the move fulfilled an obligation under the 2022 settlement. This could be big-time jobs from an economic standpoint. Federal officials say energy activity tied to those lands support approximately 3,500 jobs and generates more than $200 million annually. And the agency collects between $65 million and $90 million in royalty payments each year. Yep, it's on. It's going to be more oil moving in California soon, and some of it's going to come from, a large chunk of it's going to come from public lands. Interesting, read, if you want to find out more about it, it's in the California Post today. Let's see, I want to get to this clip. I think this is very indicative of how both parties, first of all, are viewing what took place in New York with the primary vote that took place this week. Three Socialists emerge.

in three different races for the democrat party and move on and there are a number of democrats that are doing as much as they possibly can to distance themselves from these three as we have indicated and demonstrated on the show today with audio clips from those democrats trying to run as far away from these three socialists as the democrat party tries to figure out what direction they're going are they moving even more to the left more to the fringe or are they going to try to get back to the center and then the republicans guess what they're doing oh they're loving they're jumping on this they're latching right on Here's House Speaker Mike Johnson. He's a Republican, of course, and he's warning that socialist anti-Americans are taking over the Democrat Party. Here's his thought on it. Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders have just taken full control of the Democrat Party of what was left of it. Across the country, Democrats have candidates winning primaries and rising through the ranks. Here's a few of them. Vang in California, one of the Democrats. She won't say the Pledge of Allegiance. Hamaway in New Jersey, Democrat candidate, socialist candidate, has ties to al-Qaeda and other terrorists. Chevalier won last night in New York over Hakeem's counter endorsement. She says she wants to abolish the border. She doesn't want a border for the country. Mendoza in Arizona wants to decriminalize trans prostitution. Apparently that's the thing. James in Iowa wants to apologize for being white. Garriott in Iowa performed a Satanist wedding. And Bennett in New Jersey stopped going to church because Trump voters were there. This is just a sampling. And these kind of people have been popping up. You've been hearing me say for weeks, there are many Zohran Mamdani's popping up all around the country. It is a dangerous thing. This is not a joke. We're in a fight right now to save the Republic. And every American needs to take this seriously. You need to wake up. This upcoming midterm election is not the midterm elections of years ago. It's going to decide the direction of the country. That's how it's being played. You've got one headline after another of Democrats right now. who are doing everything they can to distance themselves from these socialists. I believe there's a degree of panic that's already begun to set in the Democrat Party as a result of what happened in New York. I think they're very concerned about what's going to happen in the midterms. I've suggested before. I really have firmly believe this for quite some time. These upcoming midterms this year could very well determine the direction of the Democrat Party, number one, and by 2028, I believe that that election could determine whether or not the Democrat Party, as we have known it for years, will even survive. Or is it going to turn even more to the left, further to the left, maybe under even a different name? Or does it stay under that name? I don't know. But we are looking at some real radical characters who were elected with some really radical fringe ideas. Thinking about leaving California, are you?

There are a lot of places out there in America that will pay you to move where they are. A Wisconsin town on the southern tip of Lake Winnebago wants you to move there, and they're offering you $9,500 to do it. Fondulac, population 44,000. They've launched their new talent attraction program. Fondelac currently is in the midst of a workforce shortage. They need workers. They need young families. They're part of this program. Others listed in the program, by the way. Bloomington, Indiana, Texas, Arcana, Texas, Salina, I believe it's Salina, Kansas. That's a smaller town. They'll pay you to go to these places, to live there, to work there, to raise your kids there, live. The new Fondelac program includes $5,500 cash relocation, a YMCA membership, local baseball experiences, golf packages, art access, local dining, family activities, and more. Yeah, they're making it easy. I know about Fondelac. I've been through Fondelac. I grew up in the Midwest. It's a great little Midwest town. Yeah, beautiful country. Cold in the winter. Just warning you. Just be prepared. If you're not a fan of that kind of weather, that might be a little bit rough for you. But if you can handle that weather, it's a pretty nice lifestyle. And believe me, you can buy a home in Fondelac for a very reasonable price. So when we come back, we've got some more audio I want to roll out for you. We've got a lot of reaction coming in on a number of topics today. And I want to get to some of that. And one more piece of reaction. There is a guy who's running for governor in the state of... New York. He's a Republican. And as a result of what took place in his state with these three socialists moving on in the Democrat primary in that state, he believes that more Democrats, establishment Democrats, will start voting Republican. Yeah, he thinks that's going to be what's the driving factor for Republicans. You'll hear that clip and more. Straighthead right here on the Shane Ranch. Okay, we're going to get into a number of interesting topics. I hope to slam it all in here in the final segment. I want to talk a little bit about a Republican in New York, running for governor. And he thinks that as we see more and more socialist being moved forward in the Democrat Party, that more and more moderate Democrats are going to start voting Republican. So we've got that coming up. I want to talk a little bit about the music of the day. Our music today is it as happy and as peaceful as it was back while during like our grandparents era? Or has music changed? Has the messaging changed in our music? There's a new study that's out. So I do want to get into that. Let's go to the live line right now. But I wanted to briefly mention the fact that the topic you had brought up about the fringes controlling the Democratic Party, and I could not agree with you more. I think that's also happening on the other side of the aisle also. And I think more and more people are becoming...

disenchanted with both parties and I'm worried that we're going to end up with a third party in the moderate middle and then we're going to be a one-party system. For an example, in Congress, there was an issue that came up about pedophiliacs. I think we can all agree that they are bad, but they could not come up with a bill. about it because the Republicans and the Democrats spent too much time arguing on who was tougher on pedophiles rather than coming up with a bill to punish them. And that's just really disappointing. They're so at each other's sides. They can't get business done. Yeah. And then the Republicans, I don't know if you know this, but Deputy Sheriff Bean, who ran for Sheriff last time, Apparently, he was an oathkeeper, and apparently all five supervisors in Shasta County are oathkeepers. Okay. So it's both sides. It's frustrating. Most people are in the middle. Yeah, they are in the middle. And I will argue this. I'm not necessarily convinced that the reason we're not getting any movement out of our lawmakers is that not because they're at odds with each other, but that they actually agree with each other. I think that there are a whole bunch of Republicans in the United States Senate right now who do not want to fix and clean up. our voting system, just like there are a host of Democrats, because it's not in their best interest. The deep state wants to continue the way it's going. They want to be able to have the ability to corrupt our system. But that's just my read. Susan, thanks for the call. And Two, I have a two-part statement. Okay, got to be kind of quick, Dan, if you can be, please. All right. All right. It has Ronald Reagan said that our generation, our country is one generation away from losing our freedom. Right. And that looks like where we're heading because of what, look at New York as an example. Yeah. No, I remember him saying that. Yeah, that was very prophetic. Mm-hmm. Yep. Very prophetic. Very prophetic. And it's coming to full wish. If we don't change it. We're going to be doomed, and we're going to be talking to our children and the grandchildren about what it was like when free men ran in America. Yeah, yeah. No, that's a good point. All right, thanks, Dan. I appreciate that. It's a good reminder. Ronald Reagan did say that. And it does feel like we're at that point, doesn't it? I mean, Dan is on to something there. There's clearly a profound change going on in this country right now with the shape and makeup of our political parties. But boy, no more than what we're seeing in the Democrat Party. This thing in New York, I'm telling you, nothing short of really remarkable. Following this string of high-profile victories by socialist candidates, now a New York Republican gubernatorial candidate. His name is Bruce Blakeman. He's a Republican, as I mentioned. He is warned. The Democrat Party has now veered so far to the left. He is predicting that establishment Democrats will increasingly start backing Republicans. They're not going to be able to deliver on their promises. That's completely self-evident. They're never going to do what they say they're going to do. They're trying to create an atmosphere of delusion that...

Possibly everything in New York could be free and everybody will be happy when nobody works. I think the differences couldn't be more sharp between my campaign and the current leadership in the Democratic Party. The traditional Democrats are going to vote for Republicans this year. They're going to vote Republican because they know their party has gone off the deep end. And they don't believe in these things. They do believe in capitalism and religious freedom. But obviously, they've lost control of their party. They'd like to get it back. And the best way to get it back is for these social Democrats to lose elections. Huh. I wonder if that is right. I wonder if he's on to something there. Democrats traditional. Democrats are so disillusioned with the fringe radical base that's taking over the party that they're going to vote Republican? Hmm. I don't know if I see that in New York. I don't know if I see that in California. I don't know. I do know that here's what's really important in both of those states, the independent vote. The ones that'll go back and forth. That's the one. That's the one you really got to watch. But maybe, just maybe there are Democrats who said, okay, enough. Hands up. supermajority has let us down this path and i don't like the way we're going who knows uh Letitia James by the way speaking of prominent democrats out of california out of new york not at all happy with what happened with the three socialists winning here's what she said and i quote she told this to c n n some of the candidates Zohran Mamdani has supported are individuals who do not understand the politics of new york city the cultural differences from district to district and who have not been a part of the history and the struggle that some of these districts and are relatively new to the body politic all of us are a little frustrated with the democrat party but you don't blow it up I'm telling you, they've hit the panic button. They have hit the panic button in the Democrat Party over what has happened in New York. I think that's in a big shockwave through the party. Okay, to the music that we listen to, I've got a new study out there to wrap this up. Over the past six decades, the words woven into popular music have drifted away from themes of care, loyalty, and purity, and increasingly towards themes of harm, degradation, and rule breaking. It's according to new research. It's a study that's published in scientific reports, analyzing the lyrics of hundreds of thousands of English language songs from two separate datasets, one covering 1960 to 2010, another tracking Billboard chart hits through 2023, to measure the moral character of popular music and how it has changed over time. And they have found in this study expressions of moral vices, things like harm, cheating, and rule breaking have climbed sharply. Well, expressions of moral virtues like care, purity, and loyalty have fallen. Thankfully, we have no lyrics in our bumper music for the Shane reaction.

Amanda is joining us right now in for John, who has the day off. This is a story that I believe at this point in time is not getting as much coverage as it deserves, but I suspect in the days to come it will. So the U.S. Postmaster was before the United States Senate yesterday, had an interesting thing to say during a hearing there. He said, here's what we're going to do. If states like California... refuse to turn over their voter rolls to the federal government that's investigating voter fraud, we're going to put a halt to mail-in balloting. That's it. We're not going to ship them. We're just not going to do it. We're going to shut her down. Has there historically been a moment like this or a postmaster just flexes their role? Like, this is within my powers and no. Yes. I wonder, like, back. You know, when you read about people that did these jobs, you know, 100 years ago, right? We're celebrating our 250. Right. Back back. Some of these postmaster generals were some real, like... Really? Yeah, I don't... It just strikes me as a pretty dull job. You would think, but remember, like, this is Pony Express time. So, like, the security of the mail. Okay. Right, it's interesting. We're talking about the same thing now. It's fraud. The security of the mail was like stage coaches. And, I mean, these are like old army generals that would take these posts. So it's interesting to see them flex their power. That predates me just a little bit. You don't remember that, Sam. However, not the Pony Express. But I think you really are on to something in that we are living in one of the most unique times that I can ever recall in my life. I mean, the notion that the Postmaster would go to the U.S. Senate and go, we're going to shut down the whole voting system in California unless you guys start plan ball. And I wonder what else they can do? I mean, can they do that for other kinds of fraud? Like, well, look. That's fascinating. Obviously, if this were to go through, as it was announced, we're going to see litigation from here to, you know, forever. Forever. So there's that. Postage special litigation, a niche of law that just became very. Right. So then the California post quotes some quote-unquote analysts from the Democrat Party. So we know what that means. saying, you know, what we're going to do is we'll just increase the drop boxes. So they're going to put in more drop boxes if they, you know, so if you can't mail it, then what we're going to do is we're going to increase drop boxes. And does that mean you're going to increase ballot harvesting, which in and of itself is just filled with corruption? Really? It really is. It's fascinating. And if you don't Google it, go down a rabbit hole, that it's not illegal. I mean, there's been many things. We had it locally where folks were walking into, homeless camps, essentially, and can I register you? Can I register? Can I register? And we're like, this is, can you do that? We played, we played clips on this program last week. Like, wow. From Skid Row in L.A., the homeless people are going, oh, yeah, somebody came in here and gave me two bucks or five bucks or whatever. Yeah. Like, you can do that? To vote for Karen Bass. I mean, they're just coming right out and saying it. Yeah.

Like, oh, you can. Well, no, you can. Massively investigate. But here's what you could do is you could investigate it if you are the Attorney General of California, Rob Bonta. Mm-hmm. Or not, which is his choice, the or not side for a reason. Let's not pick and choose on fraud. Fraud's bad. Routed it out, y'all. It's not a hard one. How about we have the scales of justice and they be equal? I'm just saying. Let's just try that. I know. So at any way, I just found that to be an interesting story. Another big story today is the storyline out of New York and the three socialists who have now moved on in the Democrat Party. I'm telling you, I am convinced, and I don't know if this is your read or not, I think that that's in shockwaste through the Democrat Party number one, and I think that there are many leaders in that party, especially the moderates who are hitting the panic button. Yes, I think you're seeing it all over the place. I mean, even locally, just look at the flow for mayor race and when that happened, and you're like establishment Dems. In the beginning of the race, she wasn't even considered a real candidate. Right? I mean, she almost beat Kevin, who is as institutional Democrat Sacramento as can be, now running for supervisor. Yeah, and then how about My Ving? And my Vang. Okay, so My Vang was actually brought up by the Speaker of the House as a result of what's going on because she won't say the Pledge of Allegiance and so on. So it's an interesting moment that when we feel like the status quo isn't working, it's just going so far into young voices, new voices. That's, in my opinion. A body should be diverse in voices, but policy is at the core of these jobs. These aren't media jobs or platform jobs. These are actual policymakers. And when you look into the naivety of the policies. Well, or just the platform alone, go to the website of Democrat Socialists. Look at their website what they're calling for. Like the completely get rid of a border. Guys. Open up. Open up prisons. Right. Defund police. Defund police. I mean, it's just radical. This is no. This is so far in the realm of you want change. Let's blow it up. Look, incremental change can happen. Absolutely, I think that we can do that. But this blow-it-up mindset is not good policy. And the cities that did it, well, you're going to see what you get. I had a caller called in who talked a little bit about, you know, there's a move of foot of moving Wall Street to Dallas and the changes that have already begun on the computerized side of it. Yeah, okay. I could see that. And that's exactly what I said, Amanda. He called in and I said, when I first saw this story come up, this was like a year or two ago, that Wall Street is thinking about moving into Dallas. The first thing that I thought about is I could see that happening. And at its core, I mean, this is one of my key challenges with where Democrats often come from is you just vilify business.

so much and take it for granted like it just has to happen and then when people have to make real decisions like things like billionaire tax cause them to actually make a decision about where to actually be headquartered right they go to a state that has a much more competitive advantage you hear it in sports with the caps you know you said a cap but then in some states the tax is so crazy so there's only three states anyone wants to play for right right it's the same so you cannot forget the economic engine that actually runs the country while you're trying to dismantle it.
