The trial is slated to begin today for a man charged in a fatal hit and run from back in 2022 February of that year. 44-year-old Ronald Lohman allegedly struck 36-year-old Richard Thomas Massie Jr. as Thomas Massie was getting out of his car on North Whinton Road. Lohman. faces manslaughter and leaving the scene. This following a crash involving Loman and another driver, Lohman will also go on trial for a criminal sex act and weapons counts in a separate case. He was ordered to undergo a mental competency exam but was found fit to stand trial. Watch the man scheduled to be sentenced today for assault and menacing. Proxist security say 35-year-old Keith Williams shot a 61-year-old acquaintance on Lyle Avenue near Sherman Street back in January and then followed that up by threatening a 75-year-old family man. with a gun and pushing her down some stairs. Williams was charged with assault and gun crimes. Ontario County District Attorney Jim Ritz has announced his retirement. It'll be effective November 10th. He has come under fire for a courthouse party last year where some attorneys in his office reportedly consumed alcohol. And he lost a bitter Republican primary to former assistant DA Jason McBride. Rich tells 13 Wham most of his attorneys will be leaving the office by the end of the year.

When you challenge the integrity of every attorney in the office, their work ethic and the results, and then you don't make any headway or any effort to try to recruit them, you know, they're going to find their jobs. Ritz also says ADA Kelly Wolford will take over his interim DA once he retires. McBride is running essentially unopposed for the post in November. A crash on Rochester Northside leaving a woman seriously injured. Police said a car ran a red light at Carter Street in Route 104 just after 9 last night in T-bone another car. A 60-year-old woman passenger was taken to strong hospital with serious leg injuries. The other driver also taken to strong to be checked out. The first driver ticketed for running the red light. No one was heard after a quarry blast in Penfield. Town officials say a third-party contractor's blasts sent large rocks flying into the nearby town property at Shadow Pines. Several people were in the playground and pickleball court and had to scurry for cover, and a number of cars were damaged. Now the state DEC will investigate. Rochester police say a raucous weekend party resulted in the arrest of three people, including a convicted felon with a gun. It happened around 3 a.m. Sunday on Norton Street. Police responding to calls about the noise checked on an illegally parked car and the backseat passenger had a Glock handgun loaded with 27 rounds and modified to fire fully automatically. Roman Avery of Niagara Falls has a prior assault conviction and is being held without bail on gun charges. Police say there were several hundred people at the party and bottles were thrown at officers. Two people were charged with disorderly conduct and the property owner was cited for a code violation. FBI director Kash Patel revealed substantial new information in the case. They're building against the alleged shooter, including crucial DNA evidence from a screwdriver and what authorities believe was the weapon used, later wrapped in a towel and ditched. Deputy Director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, tells Fox the alleged assassin didn't just have hatred for Charlie Kirk, but he was obsessed. And the FBI says they also recovered forensic evidence of a written note they've recovered. And TMZ reports it's obtained a second new video that appears to show the suspect walking toward the campus hours before the shooting. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Israel's military has now launched heavy strikes in Gaza City. Reported Linda Grant State in Jerusalem with more. Marco Rubio said that Israel has begun operations in Gaza City and there is a very short window of time in which a deal can happen. Israel's defense minister boasted that Gaza is burning after heavy Israeli strikes on Gaza City. Tyson Foods plans to do away with corn syrup from its products by the end of the year. The company said its goal is to stop using high fructose corn syrup, sucralose, and other ingredients in products sold under brands, including Tyson, Jimmy Dean, and Hillshire Farm. Delta Airlines and Aero Mexico are considering their next moves after the Trump administration revoked antitrust immunity for an agreement to plan and price flights together. This could be some good news for would-be car buyers. The White House said a lower 15% tariff rate. on cars and auto parts from Japan took effect early this morning. That's down from 27.5%. Washington General Hospital went into lockdown for a time this morning. Rochester Police said they brought a patient in the emergency department around 2 o'clock this morning and that patient escaped. Officers did sweep the hospital. The locked out lifted around 4 o'clock this morning. No word yet on whether the patient was found. Again, Rochester General went into lockdown this morning for about two hours. It was lifted around 4 this morning. No word yet on whether the patient in question was found.

A man charged in a fatal hit and run from February of 2022, scheduled to go on trial beginning today. 44-year-old Ronald Loman allegedly struck 36-year-old Richard Thomas Massie Jr. as Thomas Massie was getting out of his car on Northwinton Road. This following a crash involving Loman and another driver, Loman faces manslaughter and leaving the scene. Lohman will go on trial for a criminal sex act and weapons charge in a separate case. He was ordered to undergo a mental competency exam, but he was found fit. to stand trial. Sentencing today for Rochester demand charged in a shooting. Prosecutors say 35-year-old Keith Williams shot a 61-year-old acquaintance on Lyle Avenue near Sherman Street back in January, and then allegedly followed that up by threatening a 75-year-old family member with a gun and pushing her down the stairs. Williams was charged with assault and gun crimes. We have learned when Ontario County's district attorney will retire. Jim Ritz has announced his last day will be October 10th. He lost a bitter Republican primary to former assistant DA Jason McBride. And he has been criticized for a courthouse party last year where some attorneys in his office reportedly consumed alcohol. Ritz tells 13WAM ADA Kelly Wilford will take over as interim DA once he steps aside. And the major cases like the murder of Sam Nordquist will move forward. The cases that are indicted are being certified and are ready for trial. And so the felonies are going to be all right. I do worry about the local courts because there are just so many prosecutions that have. Biller. McBride is running essentially unopposed for DA in November. An Ontario County woman accused of leaving police on a nearly 50-mile chase through Oneida County. Troopers say 37-year-old Caitlin Hand of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Daywa took off from a traffic stop Saturday night. She then spent from the town of Vienna all the way to I-81 before running over spike strips and crashing into a tree. Hand was revived with naloxone and checked out of the hospital. She now faces several misdemeanors. Grace Police say license plate readers led to three more stolen car arrests on Westridge Road. They say 21-year-old Kamal Minor and 18-year-old Gianna Jackson were caught. in a car reportedly stolen out of Ohio, and 27-year-old Nidiska Cruz Alanya were arrested in a stolen car out of New Jersey. All three are charged with possession of stolen property and unauthorized use. A Corey Blast in Penfield leaving a number of residents shaken up. Town officials say a third-party contractor's blast sent large rocks into the air and onto nearby town property at Shadow Pines. Several people were in the playground in the pickleball court at the time and had to run for cover, and a number of cars were damaged. Unfortunately, no one was hurt. The state DEC is now investigating.

He subscribed to left-wing ideology and even more so in these last couple of years. The FBI also doing a deep search of Robinson's digital footprints and potentially the people and groups he communicated with leading up to the attack. Israel's defense minister declared that Gaza is burning in a social media post as an Israeli offensive to take Gaza City kicked off this morning. As first reported by the Rochester Business Journal, an arm of Excelsior communities paid $2.7 million to 50 Chestnut Ventures for the residences at the Columbus Building at 50 Chestnut Street. Excelsior now owns 13 apartment buildings and complexes, including 10 in Greater Rochester. The Rochester Hispanic Business Association today hosts the Hispanic Business Person of the Year gala luncheon. It's at the convention center and honors Julio Vasquez. A crash on Rochester Northside leaving a woman seriously injured. Police had a car ran a red light at Carter Street in Route 104 just after 9 o'clock last night and a T-boat another car. A 60-year-old woman passenger was taken to a strong hospital with serious leg injuries. The other driver also taken to the strong to be checked out. Israel has launched its expanded ground attack on Gaza City. The plan announced last month is to take control of the city and dismantle the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Israel's Air Force has spent the last week bombing hundreds of what it calls terror targets.
