An armed standoff in Rochester's Edgerton neighborhood involving a 10-month-old baby has come to a peaceful end. Police say they were called out to a home on Glenwood Avenue near Tacoma Street shortly before 10 last night for a domestic incident. Officers were eventually able to persuade the 25-year-old city man to come out while holding his child. The man was arrested in charge with menacing and a gun crime. No one was heard. Testimony resumes today in the murder trial of a Honeyway Falls woman accused of killing her sister. 54-year-old Jamie Bush allegedly strangled 62-year-old Penny Bush to death in October of 2024, then dumped her body into the Genesee River and rush. Friday, a deputy testified about photographing Penny's body after a boater found it. And another deputy told jurors that she saw a jeep covered in mud in the backyard of the Bush home two days before the body was discovered. Prosecutors say Jamie killed Penny because...

The man charged in a 22 homicide due in court today. 21-year-old Rajul Keaton allegedly gunned down 29-year-old James Hallenback during a robbery on Olean Street in August of 2022. He was finally arrested last November. Investigators say surveillance video from a nearby robbery helped them identify Keaton. Keaton is charged with murder and robbery. Police say they're still looking for a second suspect. Orleans County deputies have made two arrests after a string of break-ins at a self-storage facility. The sheriff's office says deputies were called on January 4th to Brockport Clarence and self-storage on Hall Road. Several units have been broken into. Eventually more victims came forward and arrests were made. 43-year-old Aaron Starkweather and 38-year-old Antonio Suarez both faced 23 charges, including nine burglary accounts, multiple... grand larceny counts and several misdemeanors. The search continues now for a third suspect. Dave Debo, News Radio Wham, 1180. A Rochester woman is now the third person charged with murder in a Farmington overdose death from two years ago. 39-year-old Shikita Smith was arrested earlier this month in connection with the theft of Victoria Vitale's credit cards. The 32-year-old was found dead on a Terry Drive home. 43-year-old Michael Wade of Savannah and 29-year-old Jamie Thompson were also arrested back in December. All three face murder, burglary, robbery, and grand larceny. Senator Chuck Schumer making stops in Rochester and Buffalo pushing for approval of the law to drop the federal statute to limitations on sexual abuse and human trafficking crimes. The legislation I'm introducing Virginia's law exists to empower them because silence cannot be the end of the story. The bill is named in honor of Virginia Joufrey. one of Epstein's early accusers. Chuck Schumer says Jeffrey Epstein depended on silence from Geoffrey and his other victims and says the survivors have waited long enough, and now it is time for justice. In 88, he finished second to nominee Michael Dukakis. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2017 and made a final appearance at the 2024 Democratic Convention, waving to the crowd from a wheelchair. The Reverend Jesse Jackson was 84. Kevin Uretti, Fox News. Authorities say three people are dead, including the gunmen after a shooting at an indoor ice rake in Rhode Island. It happened yesterday in Pawtucket during a high school boys' hockey tournament. There's three additional victims at the hospital that all are in critical condition at this time. Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Gonzalez says the shooter fatally shot himself after the incident, and it appears to be a targeted event, and it may have been a family dispute.

Officials are hoping the DNA evidence that they found will shed light on who abducted Nancy Guthrie. It's been 17 days since 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in Tucson. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stressing members of her family, including her three children, have been cleared of suspicion, explaining a statement. The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case. The FBI revealing a glove found about two miles away from the home is being analyzed for DNA and appears to match the gloves worn by a masked man caught on doorbell camera footage the morning of her disappearance. The FBI says the man appears to be 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average bill. recently doubling a reward it's offering in the case from $50,000 to $100,000. Kristen, Goodwin, Fox News. A legal effort to remove former Radicoid Town Supervisor Andre Evans from office has been declared moot. The case started when the DA sent redolny after an independent town board report released just over a year ago documented sexual harassment claims against Evans. Evans was censured and ran an unsuccessful writing campaign to remain in office last November. The vice president of the Monroe County Legislature is looking toward all... Albany, Mercedes Vasquez Simmons, officially launching a run for assembly, hoping to unseat current assembly member DeMond Meeks in the 137th district. From advocating for residents, writing letters of support, working with state and local agencies, and meeting with residents and businesses across the district, in a hands-on approach. Vasquez Simmons will be on the ballot for the Democratic primary coming up on June 23rd.

Data from Zillow shows the typical apartment rent now tops $1,700 after rising 30% in the last five years. Zillow named it the singles tax after finding the national average costs singles an extra $10,000 a year. New Yorkers are paying the most. with apartment rents hovering about $4,000 a month, which results in singles tax of over $23,000 a year. San Jose follows with a typical rent of over $3,200 a month and a singles tax of over $19,000 a year.

A new report says Americans fronted the cost of tariffs. Data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York shows American consumers and companies paid almost 90% of the cost of President Trump's tariffs through late 2025. A report from the Nonpartisan Tax Foundation shows the tariffs amounted to a tax increase of $1,000 per household in 2025. Households are expected to pay another $1,300 this year. The Tax Foundation analysis says the tariffs are the largest U.S. tax increase since 1993. Police were called home on Glenwood Avenue near Tacoma Street right about 10 last night for a reported domestic incident. Officers say the 25-year-old had barricaded himself inside with a 10-month-old baby. After negotiations, they were able to convince him to come out while holding the child. was taken into custody and is now charged with medicine and the gun crime. No injuries were reported. Testimony resuming today in the murder trial of a Honey-Oy Falls woman accused of killing her sister. 54-year-old Jamie Bush allegedly strangled 62-year-old Penny Bush to death in October 2024 and then dumped her body in the rush. Investigators say 39-year-old Shakitha Smith was arrested earlier this month. Initially in the case involving the theft of credit cards belonging to 32-year-old Victoria Vitale, who was found dead inside her home on Terry Drive in February of 2024. Two others, 43-year-old Michael Wade of Savannah and 29-year-old Jamie Thompson were arrested in December. All three are now facing murder, burglary, robbery, and grand larceny. Civil rights leader Reverend Jesse Jackson died peacefully this morning surrounded by loved ones. CBS News correspondent, they had O'Keefe taking a look back. In his 20s, Jesse Jackson gained national attention as an aid to Martin Luther King Jr. and a leader of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. A shot cracked out from across the street, dropping him to the floor. He was in Memphis on April 4, 1968, when King was assassinated. the white people's best friend is dead. King's murder sparked tension between Jackson and other civil rights leaders as they struggled over who would lead their movement. Ultimately, Jackson launched his own organizations that later became the Rainbow Push Coalition, still advocating today for black economic and political empowerment. Jackson was 84 years old. Police in Rhode Island are investigating a deadly shooting. Louisa Mona has more from Boston. Gunshots rang out during a high school boys hockey game in Patucket, Rhode Island. We have shots fired multiple people down. People in the stands bolted for the exits as hockey players can be seen scrambling to get off the ice. Goalie, Olin Lawrence, was playing when the shooting began. I heard a couple gunshots go off. I thought it was balloons at first. It was loud, and then it kept going on. Multiple agencies responded within minutes to find one person dead and four others injured. One person also died later in the shooting. The shooter reportedly took his own life. It's now more than three weeks since the disappearance and suspected kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC's Savannah Guthrie at her home in suburban Tucson, Arizona. The FBI is analyzing male DNA found on a black glove recovered about two miles from her Tucson home. Investigators are trying to match it to DNA found inside the house. Law enforcement sources confirm investigators are using what's known as a signal sniffer and an effort to detect transmissions from Guthrie's pacemaker.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos says the entire Guthrie family and their spouses have been cleared, calling them victims in this case. Andrus Godier is CBS News, Tucson, Arizona. The bill aims to cut overall packaging use by 30% over 12 years and restrict usage of certain toxic chemicals in the plastic. But business and industry groups are strongly opposed. Fox Business News Network's Bill Malugin is at the Capitol with more. Tom Homan says this DHS shutdown really isn't even impacting ICE. ICE has continued to enforce law across the country. They're already funded. Meanwhile, Senator John Fetterman is breaking from his own party, essentially saying that this partial government shutdown is a waste of time, and it's hurting other DHS employees like TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. But Democrats aren't budging on their demands for ICE reforms, and they've grown increasingly emboldened. They believe that the American people are on their side and that Republicans will ultimately cave. The House is currently in recess till next Monday. Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show has reportedly been cleared of any possible rural violations by the FCC.

After detectives say they discovered she had sex with another student, Alicia Hughes is charged with five counts of child seduction. Testimony resuming today, the murder trial of a Honeyway Falls woman accused of killing her sister. 54-year-old Jamie Bush allegedly strangled 62-year-old Penny Bush to death in October 2024 and then dumped her body in the Genesee River in Rush. Prosecutors say Jamie killed Penny because she faced eviction from her sister. The man charged in a homicide from nearly four years ago also do it in court today. 21-year-old Rejewel Keaton allegedly gunned down 29-year-old James Hallenbeck during a robbery and only on Street in August 22. He was finally arrested last November. The investigator saved surveillance video from a nearby robbery helped him identify Keaton.

The Reverend Jesse Jackson has died. The famed civil rights activist and former presidential candidate was 84 years old. His family announced his death overnight, saying he passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He had been dealing with a progressive neurodegenerative disease for the past decade. The Consumer Product Safety Commission recently reported that about 11,000 LS Home 3-pack smoke detector fire alarms have been recalled. The company says the 9-volt battery-operated alarms may not sound in a timely manner, posing a potential fire hazard. The alarms were sold on Amazon between February 24 through December 2025.
