Our phone number's 2221180, 1-800-295-1180. A lot of things still to get to. Let me get this caller on the air. But I still want to rant and rave about how much I loved that State of the Union address last night. I hope you've noticed I'm not a Trump cheerleader. I just called balls and strikes. I voted for him. I like a lot of what he's doing. But when he steps in a dog crap, which he does fairly regularly, I point that out. I'm not here to do PR or cheerleading for Trump.
So you can believe me when I say last night was just an outstanding speech. Hour and 47 minutes. Anyway, let me get this caller on the air. If you saw the president, if you have a reaction, I'd be curious to know what it is. 2-2-1-18. And listen, Joe Morelli, if you'd like to share your reaction, which was to sit there an angry look on your face, like you had to stick up your arse, if you want to call and recreate that for your constituents, we'd be glad to have you at any time, of course. Lorraine, good morning, and welcome to News Radio Wham 1180. the fabulous speech. I didn't call about that. I wanted to thank you for having the young Iranian girl. And I wanted to tell you about 18, 20 years ago, at Peabody Music Institute, there was a Christian Iranian girl. And I once asked her, wasn't she afraid to be a Christian in Iran? And I really, I still wonder such a thing. I'll run then. Used to be under the Shah, you could be anything you wanted. Right? And there were Christian populations in what we now call Iran that go back to shortly after the life on earth of Jesus Christ. There used to be Christian communities across the Muslim world. You think of places like Syria, places like Iraq, places like Egypt. There were, again, Christian communities going back almost 2,000 years. And under a variety of empires and colonial powers, there had been be who you want to be. There had been enough tolerance to allow people to survive. But under modern Islam, there is no tolerance for Christianity. Just being honest. Right? Egypt, Christians, in fact, is it the Cops, the sect of Christianity, which is sort of native to Egypt, if you will, which literally goes back to shortly after the life of Jesus in the time of the apostles, the Cops have almost all disappeared. I don't know how that happens. Same with Syria. Same with Iraq and the same with Iran. Here's the deal. Bethlehem. Bethlehem used to be until 1995 under the control of Israel. Okay? When Israel was in control of Bethlehem, Bethlehem was 80% Christian. And in 1995, under some kind of little agreement, the Palestinian Authority became, if you will, the governing power in Bethlehem, which is, of course, the birthplace of Jesus Christ. In 1995, when the Muslim Palestinian Authority takes over 80% of the people in Bethlehem were Christians. And they were Christians who had been there.
for centuries, okay, if not millennia. Today, the population of Bethlehem is rather significantly less than 10% Christian. Why is it that there has been a cultural displacement there? Why has there been this flushing of the large Christian population? It's because of violence and persecution and people being run out. Here's the deal. Tolerance, as it turns out, is a two-way street, and I'm all for it. I'm an American. freedom of religion believe what you want to do but i'm fine with that but let the guy across the street believe what he wants to believe too and if the lady over there uh with the crystals and whatever she can believe what she we're all going to believe we want to believe and we're all cool with that that's modernity that's liberty that's america Right? And we get lectured about, oh, you're not tolerant. You've got to respect my religion. Well, if back in your home country, if your religion could stop killing people who practice my religion, you know, I'd appreciate that. Maybe you could send a letter to the homies and say, hey, lighten up on killing the Christians. Just, hey, it's an idea, okay? It's an idea. Lloyd, appreciate your phoning. Welcome to News Radio Wham 1180. Lloyd? Lloyd! Got it when you call the radio, turn off your, Lloyd, are you there? Yes. Turn off your radio. Pick up your phone, please. Yes, I did, sir. All right, good. Come ahead, please. Good morning, Bob. Hey, I just want to have a word about last night's speech by the president. Yes, sir. I thought it was absolutely outstanding. Yeah. But what made me sick to my stomach was when the president referred to keeping America people, citizens safe. from illegal immigrants, and please stand up if you support this, and none of the Democrats stood up. It was sickening. Yeah. Lloyd, I couldn't begin to understand that. By the way, John Fetterman, Senator John Fetterman stood up, I think. Lloyd, thanks to the call. God bless you, buddy. And here's the, I think we have a congressman around here, don't we? I mean, not that you would ever actually see him in the real world, not that he would come on this station. No, it's like we're the largest radio station in town. Why wouldn't he come here? I don't know. Am I that big a prick? Anyway, but the point is this, Joe Morelli, because he's our one. He's our guy around here, right? I mean, if you're in Monroe County, if you live out in the region, It's okay. Your congressperson is not a moron. You got Claudia or you got Nick, Tenney or Langworthy, okay? And here's the thing. If you live outside Monroe County, your congressional representative, when asked the question, stand up if you believe our first duty is to defend American citizens and not illegal aliens. And now that doesn't seem tricky to me. It seems pretty straightforward.
You have these constitutional officers of the United States government. You have members of the United States House of Representatives, the People's House. You have members of the United States Senate. Okay? And you got the president, out of all those, the uniform, and like the judge, they're all there, okay? And the president says, a simple question, stand up if you believe, That our first responsibility, our first duty was the word he used, stand up if you believe our first duty is to defend American citizens, right? Stand up, if you think our first responsibility is to defend American citizens, not illegal aliens. And if you live outside Monroe County, your congressperson, Claudia Tenney or Link Langworthy, they got the answer right. Out of Seid Monroe County, they said, yes, we believe the federal government should stand up for U.S. citizens first. If you live inside Monroe County, You're effed. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Congressman Joe. Congressman Joe, uh-uh. Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no. He's all sanctuaryed up, Congressman Joe is. I'm not standing up. I'm sitting down. Congressman Joe is not willing to say that he believes his duty is to protect American citizens first. Now here's the thing. You could say, okay, first and then just a little bit behind, just the slightest little hair in second place would be your illegal aliens, also known as Democrat voters, okay? So your first responsibility is U.S. citizens, okay, but okay, maybe right up close, but there's no second place in Congressman Joe's world. No, no, Joe, no, Joe, no, Joe doesn't believe that. Which is one reason I think if you live in this region, you should get your ass out of Monroe County, right? Come live where the regular people are. For crying out loud, come live where you have reasonable representation. Also, come live where the frigging DMV works, okay? Because you're not getting that, Monroe County. Quick break, then your calls on News Radio, Wham 1180. From ICE. Conduct from ICE to voter ID. Democrats don't want it. It should be a requirement. The news and talk. News Radio. Wham 1180. Are you planning to remodel your bathroom soon? And I recommend the folks at Rochester Bath and Kitchen, whether you want a tub. Hello, Bill? Yep. Oh, sorry, Bob. You recovered a little bit. Hey, got a question for you. Yes, sir. So most school events, we start with the Pledge of Allegiance. A lot of times at sporting events, we're singing the national anthem. Why are we doing neither at the start of the State of the Union address? I don't know. I don't think that they ever have. Here's a deal. Either would be very moving, wouldn't it, or both. And here's the thing, in all honesty.
If you had them all stand up, I mean, do Democrats do the pledge, oh, did the Democrats do the national, do they have a different anthem? I can't remember. I don't know. But if you had all the politicians stand up, put their hand over their heart, and recite the words of Mount Morris-Born, Francis Bellamy, and pledge allegiance to the flag and to the republic for which it stands, that'd be a pretty sweet thing. And further, you know, if they all stood up, you see that video out of that bar down in Florida from, what, two or three nights ago now, the men's hockey team, which I think has been blackballed by the mainstream media now, right? Too patriotic, too macho, misogynistic, was that what it is? Okay. But there was a bar down in Florida, and the men's hockey team was there. And everybody in the bar, players and not, and they're all, you know, young people in their 20s at this bar and obviously on the team. And they at the top of their lungs are singing the national anthem, right? Most of them got their hands over their hearts, and there is such a power in their voice. If young people at a bar can do that, your observation, sir, is a brilliant one. I wonder if we could ask our elected leaders to stand and sing the national anthem. Of course, again, the problem is that you'd have Democrats who wouldn't want to do it. And here's a thing, too, they kneel during the anthem. It'd be hard for them. I think Talib's knees are getting old or something like that. It'd be tough for them to kneel during the end. I don't know. Good idea, though. Mark, glad you called up. Welcome to News Radio Wham 1180. Hello. Welcome. Hey, Bob Mark. Yes, sir. Question for you. What did you think about Donald Trump usually wrote I all the time instead of we, like we in a country, we're doing this? Well, I guess if you woke up yesterday looking to be pissed off by Donald Trump, pronouns, I guess, would be one way to do that. Another approach to the speech might have been to actually listen to it. You know what I'm saying? Because I'm not a pronoun guy, right? No. And as he praised American after American after American and used their name. I didn't see like a whole bunch of over-much-egotism on his part in that regard. So, yeah, I didn't, fortunately, my sleep was not troubled last night by your pronoun. Paranoia. Wade, good morning. Welcome to News Radio Wham 1180. Hi, Bob. Thanks for having me on my show or on your show. I appreciate it. Yes, sir.
Well, I wanted to talk about the State of the Union address, and just the respect that he showed that 100-year-old Navy man, that was really stand up to me, and I really appreciated that. And I'm not a statistician or anything, but when he talks about $18 trillion coming into our country, I'm like, yeah. So I'm very grateful for him, and I hope the rest of his term can be just as strong. Yeah. I would invite anybody. Thank you, Wade, for letting me on your show. I would invite anybody. You can go to the White House website. You can go to YouTube and just watch the speech. If you didn't watch it... Again, it's an hour and 47 minutes, the longest one ever, so you're going to have to put it in pieces. But listen to it. And that $18 trillion, here was the story on that. He said, during the four years of the Biden administration, how much foreign investment in the United States was there? And he said, well, less than a trillion dollars. The number is just a little bit north of $700 million. Okay? So, again, less than $1 trillion. In the one year of the Trump administration since President Biden left office, how much foreign investment has there been in the United States? $18 trillion. So in four years, invested in the United States was, again, less than $1 trillion, just a little bit north of $700 million. Okay? In one year of Trump, more than 18 times as much. And, you know, you can hate Trump or whatever, but you've got to recognize that's kind of pretty good, isn't it? A little bit. I know, I know, Congressman Joe, you don't want to put American citizens ahead of illegal aliens. That'd be wrong. It'd be so wrong, okay? But you've got to understand, Joe, that 18 is bigger than one, don't you think? I mean, even for a Democrat, 18 is more than one, sir. It's a simple math issue there. Joe, glad you, it's a different Joe, I suspect. Joe, glad you called up. Welcome to News Radio Wham 1180. Good morning, Bob. Just to reference the earlier caller that was criticizing Trump in his use of I instead of we. If the guy had actually probably, if he actually had a job, He would know when you're addressing your boss on your accomplishments. It's always, I did this. I did that. It's just amazing how people will criticize every single word that man says. He's working for us, so he's telling us what he has done for us. And here's the thing, too. When you use the word I, you are not only boasting. You are, and you may not be boasting, but someone used the word I. How can I interpret that? What might be the message they're sending? At work, when something goes right and somebody else did it, I say, Radio Mike did this. Phil Mercado did this. Noah did this.
At work, when something goes wrong and I had a hand on it, I say I did that. When you say I, you accept responsibility. For good or for bad? And Trump said, again, he was the one who was voted for. He's the one who brought the ideas. He's the one making the decisions. He's the one who did those things. And you can either say, good, I appreciate that, Don. Or you can, like Congressman Joe Morelli, stand there. Look, and I'm not standing. Do you sit? Look, scowl. Stick up your butt. I'm angry. Or you can be with his friends, Talib. What did her button say? Did you see that lady Talib in a Democrat? Did you notice what her button said and they showed it right on TV? The F word. F, you, and you know the other two letters, ICE. Member of Congress in the chambers of the house with a big button on national TV, F ICE. Oh, that's what Democrats bring love to the table every day. And they got different kind of pronouns. Like not like, I, you, me. Anyway, let's move on. It's time for news with the great Joe Lasky on News Radio Wham 1180. Murderers, drug dealers, gang members. You'll be deported. Donald Trump. Ice. Scooping folks up off the streets. Get them out of our country. What happens next? The hypocrisy of the left. Check in often. On full display. Use radio. Wham, 1180. Hey, Franz Lonsbury here talking with Jason, the general manager of Jamestown mattress. Jason, tell us about the new line of mattresses in the Jamestown Showroom. So we have this new line called the DLX. It's a pocket coil mattress that you can flip. So it gives you the best of both worlds. We also have a single-sided one that has synthetic foam in it. It's not memory foam and it's not latex. It's some sort of cross. And we have on the floor it's a dual comfort mattress. One side is firm. One side is soft. We can do that for you. If a couple, one prefers a soft mattress. We can install one side with a softer density. Somebody that likes firmer or medium, the other side can be a different density. from the Captain Greg Bellow at the Rochester Police Department. I just sent over a note to inquire about the two officers who was injured in that car wreck yesterday. Captain Bellow writes back, both officers from the crash were treated and released last night. I also followed up, you know, there was that third officer in the shooting over by Arnett and Thurston, who, you know, was recuperating and, you know, had more serious injuries from which to recuperate. I asked about that. Anyway, first sentences, both officers from the crashed last night were treated and released. The officers from the, I got that wrong. The wreck wasn't last night. It was in the afternoon. Both officers from the crash were treated and released last night. The officers from the shooting in December continue to recover at home and are currently doing well. Captain Bello also added, we had another officer injured during a domestic last night. I'm waiting to see what happens at arraignment before putting anything out. He's also home and recovering. So just to note, yesterday if I could. Three Rochester police officers were injured in one day. I'd also point out those two who were, they're responding to a 911 call for a robbery in progress. That means that right now someone is in jeopardy. Right now a felony crime is being committed. This is not a paperwork deal. This is not a we need you to put up yellow tape deal. This is we need you to intervene in this ongoing felony crime. Get here boots and saddles right now. And they were coming up lights and siren, as they're supposed to, and a car runs right into them. They're coming up, North Clinton. A guy comes off Ward. Ward is kind of parallel with the railroad tracks there or whatever, runs from over by like where Genesee Brewery is up to North Clinton, and it smashes right into the police car. Both officers injured. By the way, the guy driving on Ward who smashes into the police car did not have a license, unlicensed operator. Still thinking on charges about that one. If they need some suggestions, I could make some. Also yesterday... About an hour or so before, out on Route 104 at Knickerbocker in the town of Ontario, Wayne County, you had a troop car, a member of the New York State Police inside it, but you got a troop car out there, and there's a delivery, it looked like a box truck from a, you know, a national company that has local offices, and the box truck pulls right in front.
turns directly in front of the troop car, and that trooper, likewise, taken to the hospital yesterday in our area, right, and in the, kind of in the central portion of our area, city of Rochester and up into Ontario, you had three members of law enforcement who were injured in automobile wrecks, which were caused by the unlawful vehicular operation of other people. And, you know, as you make your list of the risks that people in law enforcement face, you got to put this on there. And here's the thing that struck me a little bit. And I don't know anything about the drivers in these matters. I'm not alleging that they would engage in this behavior. But right now, for example, right now in the state of New York, like say, I drive into a police car. It's going lights and sirens and I drive into it. I'm completely at fault. In the state of New York, I can sue, whether it's the insurance company, the city, or the city. All of my injuries and all that stuff, I can sue them. And people typically do. I can, in the state of New York, pull directly in front of a troop car, the squad car of the New York State Police. I can pull in front of a troop car, and I can cause the wreck. and I can sue the state of New York or its insurance company. You could be driving down the street right now, okay? And somebody could drive right into you, even on purpose, and they could sue the hell out of you in your insurance company. That's Governor Kathy Hochul a little bit ago. When she was talking about we need to reform lawsuits that come out of car wrecks. There are so many lawsuits that come out of car wrecks, and the deal is like so many things where there's money, and maybe particularly in this state, there is horrific corruption. Governor alleges, Governor Kathy Hochul alleges, that there is significant fraud, that a very large percentage of these car wreck lawsuits are fraud. And one of the things that Governor Kathy Hochul proposes, and, you know, I don't care what party, these are good ideas, and I hope that she's successful in getting these past. I'm a little uncertain because the lawyers who do the car suits, they've got a lot of power in this state. But Kathy Hochul says, okay, if you cause the wreck, you cause the wreck. then you ought not to be able to get one of these big lottery-sized payouts. If your driving failure caused the wreck to happen, you don't get to win the lottery. That's what the governor says. And I say, that makes sense, ma'am, thank you. Please, I hope that, you know, you got Cooney here and he's big transportation. Will that get passed? I don't know.
Here's the thing. Right now in the state of New York, you can be actively committing a crime, right? Like, I can be fleeing from the police after robbing a bank and I can slam into your car and I can sue your car insurance company and try to get my multimillion dollar payout. You can do that now in New York. Governor Kathy Hochul says, how about this? How about if you're committing a crime when the wreck happens, how about you don't get some big giant payout? And that crime could well be drunk driving, for example. Because that's another thing. You have a drunk driver who causes a wreck and becomes a millionaire off the insurance. What? Kathy Hochul, to her credit, to her credit. Kathy Hochul says that's not right. And again, It's one of those rare days. I think she's 100% correct, and I hope that she gets some success in this. But only time we'll tell on that. Quick break, then back with you on News Radio Wham 1180. What's going on? The economy. Ice agents. Voter ID. Happening. Today. Tomorrow. Next week. Happening. Things that matter for the American people. Check in throughout today. Use radio. Wham. 1180. I took that free seminar at Clark Peskin. It's an hour and a half and it talks about estate planning. Don't miss the moment it becomes history. This is, without a doubt, too much information. But just so that you understand the great struggles I face, I may unwisely today have done two things. One, over the last couple of days, I have been dialing back the prostate medication, taking a little bit less.
You take, it's a weird deal. You want to take enough to get the desired effect, but you don't want to take so much as to get the undesired side effects, right? So you try to find that sweet spot there. And so I had been dialing back prostate medication. Some people would use a doctor for this. I figure, oh, why? Come on now. I'm clearly as smart as a doctor. Not. And so anyway. I dial back on the prostate medication to try to find just enough to achieve the desired result. And in this morning, you know, my schedule has changed at work over the last couple three weeks. And I don't have to come in as early anymore. And for years, when I used to come in at a regular time, I'd stop off most mornings at the convenience store there in Mount Morris and get myself a Gatorade and drink that on the way to work. Tell the lady there all about the world. But for the last year and a half or so, I've gotten up too early. I go to work before the convenience store opens. But this morning, I get out there, and I look down the street, convenience store is open. Hey, I could get a Gatorade. I could resume this needless expense. Yeah! So, yeah, I drank a whole giant Gatorade on a marginal prostate pill. And I don't need to go into issues here exactly. Ask some old guy you got hanging around. It may not have been the best of choices. John, I'm glad you called us, sir. Welcome to News Radio Wham 1180. Yeah, Bob, I'd like to request an early dismissal this morning. I need to go watch the Gales in the view, try to explain the way what we all saw and heard last night. Yeah, yeah. 100%. And if you identify them as female, I guess I'll go along with that. No independent verification or corroboration of that assertion on your part. And I'm not trying to be a smart, Alec. And I'm not one of these people who goes around saying, oh, the media is all biased. The media is all biased. But I see the reporting and the commentating on that speech last night. And my question is, what the frig were you watching? Right? What the frig were you watching? Like the Buffalo News, it tweeted out, Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger delivered a forceful response to President Donald Trump's state of the union. Really? Did you watch that one? God bless that poor lady. I hope she gets help. But it was like a forceful response. She frigging sucked. Just me. Anyway, I won't go on. Here's something I tweeted out.
A little bit ago. Dear reporters and commentators, what effing speech were you watching? Also, do you have to file paperwork acknowledging that your broadcasts are in-kind political contributions to the Democratic Party? Anyway, I'll leave that alone. But, yeah, so the speech. What else should I say about that? Oh, by the way, Zohran Mamdani. the guy in New York City, it turns out that that video you saw of the officers getting clocked with the ice chunks and stuff like that down in New York City, four of them had to go to the hospital for injuries to their face. It turns out Zohran Mamdani said that was just a snowball fight. See, that's nothing. No, there'll be no charges. I mean, the PBA says we sure as hell ought to charge somebody. The Sheriff's Association, or I'm sorry, the Sargent's Association says sure as hell we ought to charge somebody. The detective's association says, sure as hell we ought to charge somebody. Andrew Cuomo said, sure as hell you ought to charge somebody. But Mayor Mam Damme said, no, these were just kids and it was a snowball fight. Come on now. And I would just say, because I'm ignorant, okay, I did not grow up in Uganda. So I don't know what it's like over in Uganda, where he grew up. But my question would be, do they do a lot of snowball fighting in Uganda? I'm sure that they're like what? They do have snowy parts of Africa, obviously. You got your snows of Kilimanjaro, right? Was that a book or something, Hemingway, something like that? I'm going to ask, I'm going to ask AI right now. Does it snow in, where did I say, Uganda? I don't know, Uganda strikes me as a little more tropical, right? Because they got this line goes around the middle of the earth called the... Okay, yes, this is AI, and AI has never been wrong. Yes, it does snow in Uganda, but only on the highest peaks of the Renzori Mountains near the Democratic Republic of the Congo border at altitudes of 16,000 feet. So, yeah, maybe Zohran Mamdani is not the biggest expert on snowball fights there ever was. Marty, appreciate your phoning. Welcome to News Radio Wham 1180. Hey, Bob. Just a note, when you're under the care of a doctor, and he gives you a prescription, whether it's for a prostate situation or high blood pressure, those pills aren't so strong. Look at it this way. You're about my age 65 or maybe a tad more. It's taking your body that long to get that way. And it's certainly some little pill.
isn't going to straighten that all around in a month or two. You really need to take your medication for a couple of months and then see the doctor again. All right. I've been taking, you know, I think I've been on prostate pills longer than that. And here's what happens, right? First of all, we undeniably are supposed to die about the age of 50, right? Nature clearly starts moving you towards the door. And actually, I've, the last year or so, I've been studying the natural processes of death. I'm fascinated by natural selection and how nature and God in a process fairly well explained by Charles Darwin sort of has designed us to do certain things. And it is undeniable at a certain point, we are designed to die. And God doesn't screw around. He comes up with multiple plans to get to that destination. And one of them is in the man you have this prostate. And it serves an important purpose earlier in a reproductive life, keeping a certain type of fluid from mixing in with a different type of fluid. But at a certain stage of life for most men, right about the time nature thinks you should start the process of dying, it begins obstructing your urinary flow. which can, of course, lead to, you know, infections and renal failure and death. Again, lots of pat. God is trying hard to kill you there towards the end. But, no, I've been taking prostate pills a year or two or three. I can't remember. But quite a while. But like I said, if you take too much, it has certain effects that may not be desirable. So you want to dial it down so that you get the relief you seek, but without unnecessary side effects. And I've just been playing that game a little bit. It's time for news with Dave Debo on News Radio Wham 1180. Republicans and Democrats finally agree. Ice out. Ice out. There's ice out.
