We know that there were some writings and we've already spoken with several witnesses who knew him. Todd Blanche adds he hopes the job's secret service did to help protect people Saturday night will also give a political push to fund the... Department of Homeland Security. What we saw those men, those men and women doing last night should be a wake-up call to Congress, and I hope that it is. DHS, which oversees Secret Service, has not been funded since mid-February. Gernal Scott. Fox News. A new report says Iran has given the U.S. a new proposal to reach a deal on reopening the street of Hormuz. Axios reports. Iran got a new proposal to the U.S. by way of Pakistani mediators. It calls for reopening the Strait of Hormuz first by lifting the U.S. naval blockade and then holding nuclear talks at a later time. But that report also says Iran's foreign minister has told Pakistan and other mediators, there's no consensus within Iranians.

Back here, the trial beginning today for the man accused of killing a co-worker at the Wegman's warehouse in Bill Gates. 33-year-old Kaishan Green allegedly gunned down 25-year-old Jumeer Ridley Smith inside the warehouse last July. Green was arrested while getting off a bus in Knoxville, Tennessee the day after the shooting. He faces second-degree murder. Dominic Chickarillo, News Radio, Wham 1180. There are no arrests in a shooting that left a Rochester man seriously injured. Police said the 19-year-old took one gunshot to the upper body just after noon. time yesterday on Rosewood Terrace off Webster Avenue in the Beachwood neighborhood. The victim is expected to survive. Four teens are facing charges after a stolen car chase and crash in Shilai. Deputies say they spotted the car late last night on Chilai Avenue. The teens sped away before crashing into a ditch at West Side Drive and Chilai Center Coldwater Road and making a run for it. All four were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. They range in age from 13 to 15 years old. Anthony Panazowitz, news radio, Wham 1180. Three people take it to the hospital after a crash near ESL ballpark. Police say an SUV and sedan collided shortly before 3 o'clock yesterday. The SUV rolled over, trapping an elderly couple inside. They and the driver of the sedan all in stable condition and no charges have been filed. Medics were called out to a report of an unconscious man early Saturday morning. Parent and ambulance chief Robert Sierra tells their team, Wham, that everything was normal at first. Patient was in the back of the ambulance and became highly aggressive towards our crew. Struck my provider in the head, and he did sustain a minor injury. The EMT was treated and released and is now back on duty. Sierra says he plans on pressing charges against the alleged attacker. Two unlicensed cannabis shops in Rochester now shut down. Authorities rated unique smoke shop on Lyle Avenue and Mr. Starlight Smoke Shop on Chestnut Ridge Road along with the storage facility. Enforcement teams seized about $1.3 million worth of illicit marijuana products. Rochester City Council holding its annual Rochester City School District Budget hearing this evening. The district's $1.15 billion budget has now restored most of the 76 expected job cuts thanks to $5 million in grant money. The budget vote is slated for May 5th, but City and RCSD leaders are still waiting to hear how much funding they'll get in the state budget. The hearing set for 5.30 at the council chambers. Legislature leaders and Governor Hokel reportedly remain far apart on taxing the wealthy, reforming car insurance, climate policy, and state employee pension benefits, among other issues. The state is now suing the federal government over nearly $74 million in lost highway funding. The Trump administration announced the move earlier this month, blaming the state's refusal to revoke commercial driver licenses for about 33,000 immigrants. The Transportation Department found problems with over half the licenses it reviewed during a recent audit. State officials say they have complied with federal standards for issuing CDLs. Suspect Cole Allen lives in a Los Angeles suburb where FBI teams executed search warrants overnight, a lot with questioning family members and going door to door. Allen is in police custody. He's expected to be arraigned in federal charges later on today. Officials have released some new details about the man accused of opening fire at the White House correspondent's dinner on Senator of the United. Fox's Bill Malusian with the latest. The White House is telling Fox News that law enforcement has recovered a manifesto belonging to that alleged shooter in which he said he wanted to target Trump administration officials. He also apparently had all sorts of anti-Trump and anti-Christian content on a social media profile. Multiple federal law enforcement sources tell us that the suspect has been ID as 31-year-old Cole Allen of Torrance, California. We were told he was initially talking to law enforcement after his arrest, admitting his intent was to target the Trump administration, but he has since stopped talking and is no longer being cooperative. The suspect reportedly traveled to Washington by train and had been staying at the hotel ahead of the dinner. The exact motive for the shooting is not yet clear.

We are the last municipality in New York State to not have license plate readers, but we are on track to have them very soon. Meantime, the city of Rochester is looking at ways automated traffic enforcement can reduce deaths and injuries on the roads. But now the city's looking at using the newest speed cameras and red light cameras to slow down drivers.
