329 segmentsTom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. It's officially Dom time here on Talk Radio 1210. Welcome in. Thanks to everybody who came out to the jug handle in. We'll talk about that in our side question coming up. But Dan and I were just talking at the end there about our buddy Alante McCauley. So I happen to see coming off yesterday, a colleague of his was also taken out in City Hall. And here's the thing. I'm not going to pull punches. Who the hell are the Philadelphia Police to be filming this guy? So we have him an interview at 6 ABC. The one I put up on Twitter was an interview with NBC10. He's not in the well of the city council. He's in the hallway. Yet the Philadelphia police. Have a guy with, I think Frankie Scales is filming them. They have a cop in full uniform there filming McCauley being interviewed by either six or ten. I think this was ten. Why? Why in the world would you be filming him? Now, to me, this is every bit as bad or worse in city council. And we're going to see if we can get an answer to this. I think we still have around Henry, our police contact when we had the chief on. You know, if they won't answer, they won't answer. Oh, well, that's a personnel matter. What in the world would make you film a citizen who is just bold enough to come into the belly of the beast, the goofy city council? Now, one of the takeaways from yesterday. with this seven bills they passed, this gives tremendous power now, even more power, to Larry Krasner. And watch this play out. It takes 60 days to go into effect. But Krasner is going to go after ICE in any way that he can. Now, do I think the Philadelphia police are going to try to arrest ICE if they're wearing masks? Are they going to stand there and tell them to take it off? If they do, I have lost all respect forever then. That's it. I don't think so, though. But what this does is this brands Larry Krasner with the mobs in Philadelphia that run the Democrat Party as the guy to run against Jarrell Parker, who I don't think. is going to take that tactic. So that's the biggest thing coming out of yesterday with these seven bills. It really empowers, emboldens Larry Krasner to go after ICE in a criminal matter to make them take off the mask. Now, how do they plan to do that? Well, let's say the Philadelphia police don't. He is still going to posture every day about that. And I think this is his ticket. toward running for mayor. And I thought about this a lot. Could it be worse as mayor than as what he does as DA? Probably because he'd put a stooge in his DA, a miniature Larry Krasner. Picture mayor Larry Krasner. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez coming to town this week, or at least endorsing Chris Rab, the Hasan Piker guy.
in that congressional race. But here is Alante McCauley cut off yesterday. We brought you all that. Hope you didn't miss it. It was amazing in City Council. Being interviewed by WPVI Channel 6. Here's how it sounded. But some say they fear it'll now put a target on the ICE agents. It's nonsense. When you got people that's doxing ICE agents, they're not just wearing masks because there's some gang. You have radical people in this country. Community organizers tell me the work isn't over. Hours after counsel, activists from Cunthos delivered a petition signed by over 1,000 people calling on the banning of ICE from arresting people inside or around courts and courts from sharing information with the agency. Ice already knows that someone without status is going to be. be there a lot of the times. And how is that happening? There's just a lot of filtering of information to ICE. Plus, there's also calls for the state to stop sharing data and honoring ICE detainers and on Congress to defund the agency. Big goals after a big legislative win. We're going to keep on working. And after a lot of celebrating today, we're also going to be focused on implementation. Okay. So this is where we are. That's what these people are about. And you know, the usual suspects fund them. So you're going to see this play out in Philadelphia. Now it takes 60 days, so let's say until the end of June. Just in time for 4th of July, the 250th. And Krasner then will be on this constantly. What will the mayor do versus these mobs who are poised to elect arguably somebody as far left as any of those members of the squad on May 19th in the Democrat primary? Dan and I were talking about Hasan Piker. And again, you don't get this information unless I don't know where you would get it. Maybe you'd get it on Twitter, but you're not getting it from the local media. You're not getting how radical this is. Here is cut seven. of Hasan Piker. He's on the New York Times. New York Times puts this hate monger. What's driving a lot of this is just stone-cold anti-Semitism, stone-cold hatred of Israel. That's what's driving this. That's what's getting their juices flowing here. And yet, any number of Jewish people are supportive of people like this. It's a strange way, Rich and I were just talking about on a Dawn Show over in the Jersey Suppers. He talked about this district that used to be red, then it was kind of purple, electing a Marxist to Congress. How's that happening? Well, part of the crowd and figuring out their motivation is a little bit difficult. They're more well-heeled, more educated. Think Montgomery County, for example. And yet, they want to vote for people who are anti-capitalist, anti-American, up and down the line. It's the story here locally of our times, really, of how the suburbs have gone not just liberal, but they've gone past that right here where we are. And in Jersey, they've gone past being liberal into something even worse. Here's Hasan Piker talking about the Ouija Luigi Mangione, the animal who allegedly shot to death, a guy who's a health care executive. Now, they're very big on this idea of social murder.
If they deem you to be murdering us socially because you're heading up a health care company and in their mind you're responsible for people not getting the health care they should, then they can murder you. They also talk on this about shoplifting, whole foods, a bunch of places. Which place can you shoplift from and which can you not shoplift from? and how it's all fine. And as I said, this guy is coming to Philadelphia to do his show, if you will. What is it? I think Thursday. Think a week from yesterday somewhere here in Philadelphia to tout one of the candidates in this race. He is their Joe Rogan, if you will. He is their talk radio. He is whatever they're talking about. But listen to Sam Hasan Piker and listen to this derangement. as far as who you can kill and why you can kill them. Engels wrote about the concept of social murder. And Brian Thompson as the United Health Care CEO. was engaging in a tremendous amount of social murder, the systematized forms of violence, the structural violence of poverty, the for-profit paywalled system of health care in this country, and the consequences of that are... tremendous amounts of pain, tremendous amounts of violence, tremendous amounts of deaths. And that was a fascinating story from, for me, because Americans are very draconian about crime and punishment. They're very black and white on this issue. And yet, because of the pervasive pain that the private health care system, had created for the average American, I saw so many people immediately understand why this death had taken place. All right, then. Philadelphia Inquirer, you're up here. I think they agree with it. I think deep down, they just don't have the courage to say it. This guy can say it, though. Let's kill who we deem to be committing social murder. Now, you're thinking, who in the world listens? Just the boredom, give us the boredom element of Marxism? Well, Engels says, Marx and Engels, the denseness of what they write at least. But what's exciting about it is you get to kill people. And you sit around and you say, yep, that guy ought to be killed. This is what they're preaching. Now, this guy travels the country now. With any number of Democrats, the leadership, they're a little bit staying away from him. They're not condemning him. They're not saying anything about it. One more, Henry, and I might stop it at some point here. I just want to get the gist of it. This is cut 13. Meanwhile, Chuck Schumer out there yesterday talking about not funding ICE and the Border Patrol, but saying it's not just some rogue.
ICE cop, you know, here and there, the whole agency now, which are duly put in by law, by Congress, Border Patrol and ICE, they are rogue. They should not be listened to. They ought to be curtailed if not stopped. Here's Chuck Schumer. Border Patrol and ICE that nobody respects in this country. When America's crying out for real relief on the skyrocketing cost of living, Republicans are spending another $140 billion on Trump's private militia on these two rogue agencies that have no restraint and ignoring people's real needs. If you ever wanted to know what a bubble these Republican senators are in, look right here. Look right here. Tying the Senate in the knot, holding back. moving forward, all so they can fund with no restraint agencies that have been discredited widely in America. All right, we can stop it there. So they're rogue, the entire concept, the entire agency, not individual cops, not saying, well, you know, a fair number of them, no, the entire agency. That's what we're up to. All right, yesterday, great time at the jug handle in. Listeners that bid. So generous around the Travis Mannion Foundation. I got to meet a light of, and I also'm on to something for the summer. I hear about there putting parking meters in and Diamond Beach. Those are fighting words down there. I have to come down there and get to the bottom of that when we get to the shore. I wrote it down and said, yeah, I would. After a few beers, parking meters in Diamond Beach, just great folks came. I remember stuff. It's like a tribe. Great folks who came out. And the jug can't do in, just the name, that is so Jersey. So what we are looking for today are things, people, places or things. This ought to be a layup for everyone. Don't let them take all the good ones that we associate. with New Jersey. All right? So immediately, just despite Linda Kearns, too, I, uh, wait a minute, who's singing? That's a band, right? Of course. Yeah, that's a good, uh, there's a mess up in here. I didn't hear. Okay. Yeah, great song to choose for it. Love that. I'm going to take off Sinatra, of course. Associate, come on. Most famous, even more than Elvis. I'll take off corruption. That's the first word I think. They do corruption better than anybody, possibly in the world. And, of course, diners. You know, there's Zenos out. Yeah, well, there's Zenos in every town there in Jersey. Good point. The diners, yeah. Good point. All right, Henry, how about yours? Yeah, how about if you're heading down ashore and, and, uh, You got to stop by one of the roadside stands. Oh, yes. Jersey Tomatoes, it's true about them. They are, particularly from the stand. They are great. And then you always like to talk about the Pine Barrens that, you know, Sopranos episode and the whole thing. How about the creature that lives within the Pine Barons? The Jersey Devil. No, not the poorly run hockey team. Only by Josh Harris. I'm talking about the animal with hooves, wings.
I just, it's a wyvern-like creature, you know, with a, it's essentially a dragon with arms and like a horse, goat head. It's a very odd thing, but apparently it lives out in the pine barons, and you can hear its blood-curdling scream at night. Whoever got to David Chase and said, do it at the pine, you got to do the pine bearers. When Paul, he says, and I'm walking right out of here. He goes like two feet. And I think the best part about that is that they didn't plan on it snowing. They're just like, all right, we're shooting here tomorrow. And it's snowed overnight. Oh, shoot. Man. I guess we had to work this end of the story. And whoever came up with the van that was broken down out the middle of the catch up with the relish. Yeah, exactly. Oh, my God. Yes. And the Russian. He's still out there. All right, Kirk, what's yours? I'm going to go with jug handles, circles, roundabouts. They're famous to New Jersey. Exactly. And the other one, I'm going to go with the Jersey Shore as a whole. By the way, a little criticism. I didn't take it. Directions were telling me to get to the jug handle to take it to Connie Palmyra. And I was here. I wasn't doing it. I did take the Ben Franklin. But coming home, somehow or another, it's very close to the jug handle in. What's up with a bridge where you got to wait in line for 20 minutes to get on the bridge? Yeah, that's true. It's unbelievable. Well, women's like that too. I don't know. I think, what the heck? This was mile back or more. I believe it. Is a bridge that tiny or I guess there's only a few lanes? Yes. I don't remember being on the Ticoni. And of course, Betsy Ross is near there. The bridge to nowhere. That place is, yeah. The one I really have only been on once, the Commodore Barry. I, you know. It's not exactly places I'd be going. I don't know where it leaves you. Seems like Mars. 855, 839, 12, 10. You can get in something associated with New Jersey. We are loaded up today, too. We're going to talk. Oh, he's moved up to 1230. All right. We're going to talk with Jeff Van Drew, who's got a lot of experience with this Southern Poverty Law Center. And we're also going to talk with Scott Turner, who's ahead of HUD. They're doing a lot of things to make housing affordable. He also was a seventh round draft pick. So what's that experience like? I guess when it's the seventh round back then, a number of years ago, I don't think there was a lot of glitz or whatever. No. I knows what they did. Yeah. Unless you're Mr. Irrelevant. Yeah, it's just kind of like, oh, yeah, we took this guy. Yeah, I don't see a lot of media coverage. But why in the world are the Philadelphia police having the nerve to film Alante? He's outside. He's not in City Hall. He's not doing anything. And he's just talking to the media to 6 and 10. And I think on Twitter you'll see, I think Frank Scales must have been the one. Alante put it up, but I don't know if Scales did it. Very clever, too. He cuts to Alante, then he cuts subtly to the cops standing there filming.
Why? You know, who directed the Philadelphia police to do that? And the indictment of this moronic city, one guy, one minute, not even a minute a week, and all hell breaks loose. Doesn't it show you how fragile their ideas are, what little petty little dictators they are? And the Philadelphia police stop filming him. This guy's not the Communist Party. Go film Hasan Piker. Hey, the SPCA, how about paying a visit to Hasan Piker when he comes here next week? 855-839, 1210. Tom Chiodato on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. All right, good Friday. What a big, big week here on Talk Radio 1210. Coming off the junk handle in, great event for Mannion Foundation last night. Hit us with that all-time. Jersey Association. I love it when we do people too, among other things, but something that says New Jersey, 855, 839, 12, 10. And again, the incidents that happened yesterday in Philadelphia City Council are only topped by just Philadelphia police just casually. We don't have enough cops. Come on, that commissioner. Why is a guy filming Alante McCauley? What about Alante McCauley would say he's a subversive? Well, you know what? In Philadelphia, he is. He's a black man who has awakened and says, look at this. Look at this city. Just look at their nonsense. Look at Krasner. Look at City Council. Look at the ICE mob that was there yesterday, trying to overrun us. And because he said, well, you know, in Sweden, one quarter of women, rape, et cetera, no border, oh my God, the world ends. They're virgin ears. They can't hear that. But even more importantly, shouldn't the Philadelphia Enquirer be asking that? Why are we filming a citizen like this? Instead of saying, this is an activated citizen scrounging out one minute a week to be heard, and that just shatters everything. So I'm trying to get it out. I see it nationally. I see it on a lot on Twitter all over the place. People are picking up on this story. But I think it's Frankie Scales. If it's you, Frank, thank you for doing that. While they're filming him, he's filming them. And putting it out there and saying, why? Who's the subversive here? Who's the subversive to the Constitution? Alante McCauley's a constitutionalist. Philadelphia, the Constitution, they only want that on July 4th when they roll it out to make some money and to dance up and down. They don't want the founding father. You think Larry Krasner cares about the Constitution? No, he cares about dominating based on his rotten ideology. I played you with Hasan Piker. They're going to be all over. They're gushing this week. Hasan Piker's coming in. Wow. Now that's big time. This is the biggest gun they have. Yeah, let's murder health care executives. I could see the Inquirer editorial this week. Well, you know, we're not advocating that, but he has a point, doesn't he? Aren't these guys killing us? Shouldn't there be a penalty for that? What does the Felt off Inquirer do for the world? All right, 855, 839, 12, 10, hit us with something or somebody.
Remember, you got to impress the judges. I don't know about this first answer. We'll see where this one goes. Let's go to Kevin in Bucks County. All right, Kevin. What do you have today? Four, five words. That tell us hack Bruce Springsteen. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Do you think he's still the number one person at this point in time we would associate with Jersey? Arguably, he is. I didn't give Sinatra a thought. I thought the song that you used as your bumper intro just now, I thought of them. And, you know, and terrible Bruce, that's the only two I could think of. I had to endorse seeing twice in concert as a teenager because I couldn't drive lead to leave. I saw them both in 87, 88 at JFK. All right. Thank you, Kevin. Yeah, he's still. Probably the most identifiable Jersey end that I can think of. I'm trying to think alive where somebody in the news right now. Who is it that says Jersey? Who's the person? You might have some others. There's got to be some others floating around. But he's still able to live off all of that, the Jersey story, the tank towns, the man, the screw up of the system and all that. That's still what he's about. And that's why he's still going strong. I think he's got to be coming to Philadelphia in the next week or two because he's around here. He's in Newark. And Philadelphia, as much as any place in Jersey, is where he really made his mark. Okay. So we got that going on. Jeff Van Drew in the on-deck circle. This is cut three, Henry. Couple cuts. We had the big debate. I mean, arguably, a Republican can become governor. in California. The top two in the polling are both Republicans. So they're trying to get Katie Porter to drop out now because they believe if they get a Democrat in there, they'll win. They'll still have a Democrat governor. Here's Tom Steyer. Remember this guy when he ran for president, billionaire many times over, Mr. Climate Control. He's asked about the fact that we have maniacs who can't read and speak English that have CDL licenses. that are truckers out there. Here's what he said to the question about. Why are we allowing this? Can't we prevent it? Cut three. Mr. Tom Steyer, where do you draw the line on this? Should language proficiency for truckers be strictly enforced, even if it means that some of them will probably lose their jobs? You have 60 seconds. Look, I agree with what we said, which is we don't know the context of this stop. But what I can say is this, racial profiling is illegal. And in fact, Picking on people based on the color of their skin in the state of California is illegal. All right. And we have a little bit more. Here's Xavier Becerra, former head of health and human services. Remember this guy. He's running for governor too. And here's what he says about people not reading and speaking English who are truck drivers.
Should the CHP be giving English proficiency test to truck drivers? And if not, would you as governor push back against the Trump administration on this policy? You have 60 seconds. I would definitely push back on the Trump administration, and again, a reckless policy. I would make sure that that officer understands that he cannot discriminate against any driver without having a basis to do so. I understood a little bit of what that individual was trying to say. I couldn't see the signs, but it certainly sounded like he was trying to describe what that particular sign was trying to represent. And so we have to be very careful that we're not profiling consumers in California, drivers in California. Can you imagine, right? We have people dead by this delivery. I can change these during the break. New headphones. Yes, thank you, Dave Skellish. All right, there you go. All right, the left ear sounds better already to me. All right. These things are very finicky, you know? If Roe goes anywhere near where I have in the Dom Dom, there's World War III. I saw the staple where was moved six inches the other day. I knew she had struck. She had gone into that zone. Oh, no. That's it. That's it. Next, you will be shocked. There will be shock there. So can you imagine these guys? With all this, what are they concerned about? They're concerned about profiling the poor non-English speaking, reading, and maniacs driving down the highways, killing us. That's what it's about. And people in California, do they want to be protected or they didn't want to hear that? All right. Jeff Van Drew next. A lot to unpack with him in his role in Congress with the Southern Poverty Law Center, particularly their involvement going against Catholics. Remember that? They were the quarterback on that. He's next. We'll ask a couple of other things too. And your calls, you get him right now. Yeah, the memo that cited, they label traditional Catholics, traditional Catholics as extremists. What did he specifically find out on that? Straight ahead. Talk Radio 1210. Don to your daughter on Talk Radio 1210, WPHD. All right, big issues, big guests. I guess it was announced last night. The House Judiciary Committee demands records from Southern Poverty Law Center. In other words, it's not just a criminal charge, it's not just the DOJ, Congress now involved. And somebody who's been on the tip of the spear on this and quite passionate about it, Congressman Jeff Van Drew with us. particularly the Catholic, traditional Catholics, among others, they were the quarterbacks of this. I think they were the quarterbacks, potentially a part of it. Let's go after parents who were speaking up at school board meetings. Remember that whole thing? Remember that memo that went out? They went at the FBI, the ABC. Parents just go into the two-minute limit. Let's go to the Congressman, Jeff Van Drew. Congressman, welcome back in.
Good to be with you, Dom. Well, you know, one of the points here I think about, and I saw on Twitter a couple of things from you, too. You were one of the people wanting to get to the bottom of this outfit and what they were doing with traditional Catholics. It's what they're doing with everything. You're absolutely right, though. They were the ones that were really pushing the narrative that the traditional Roman Catholics were dangerous terrorists. They want to, you know, and then the FBI, of course, ran with it and we're going to have undercover agents at various locations. They like to say it was only the Richmond field office. It's not true. They were looking to do this throughout the country. I mean, this is really bad stuff. This is people's freedom of religion. I've got to be honest with you. I hope that even... people on the left, I hope. I don't, I'm not sure, but I hope they are disgusted with this. This is an organization. You think, gee, who could be against the southern poverty law center? That sounds like something that's good. And here it is, not only did they do all this against Roman Catholic churches and parents who love their kids and were going to school board meetings and speaking out about some of this horrible stuff they were pushing on our kids. but they were funneling millions upon millions of dollars to Nazi groups. to Ku Klux plan groups, and I'll tell you why. Because they were trying to prove that they were alive and well, and that they were the same as conservatives. So they were also pushing this narrative that the Ku Klux plan and Nazis and conservative Republicans were the same thing. And I always say, beware. And we talk about this all the time. It's even with Pfizer when I think, you know, it gets misused. You know, they went after. Me today, but tomorrow they may go after you. How about we do things the right way? This is shameful. You just mentioned Pfizer there, and I have it on my list. I'm not sure I didn't see your vote on it. It's a little complicated how this turns out. What does Jeff Van Drew think about it? So it is complicated. I'm truly in all honesty. I'm disappointed that we're not going to be able to make more significant change. We're at a time of war, a time of sleeper cells in our country of terrorists. I get it. I understand. But I'm not giving up on this.
So here we are. Right now we've got to get it done because we've only got a few days here. So there'll be a compromise. It will not be, I pray to God, it won't be a five-year renewal. And I'll tell you about my voting record on this in a second that will get it down to two or three years to the end of the Trump administration because I know it's not going to be misused during that period of time. And then when we get into a new administration for all future administration, Democrat or Republican, that there be more of an issue, more of a significant need for Lawrence within the system. It's important. It really is. We've got to make sure that we're careful with this stuff. Terrible, awful things were done. Dom, I don't have the time, and you and I've talked about it before, of the misuse of FISA where people were, when I say people, I mean, FBI agents and the Department of Justice. We're investigating people because they were too conservative or too liberal because they were Catholic because they didn't like their boyfriend or girlfriend or they were getting involved in personal issues. Farable. Ben Franklin said those who would give up liberties for safety deserve neither. He was right. Where are we going to be right? Where were we before? So they put up, I don't know why, an amendment to the bill, a Pfizer bill that fails last week in the middle. of the night. They put up for the amendment to extend it to five years. I voted against that. There's no need to extend it to five years. I'm not, I don't like that. And we certainly can extend it, but it doesn't have to be for five years. The second, so that amendment went down. It was amending the bill. The bill itself extended it for 18 months, which I did vote for to get it done. And that also. went down and didn't make it. So we got to get our act together. I got to be honest with you, Dom. We got to get some things done here. We need to get this FISA issue straightened out. We need to get the Homeland Security issue straightened out and the ICE issue straightened out. It's all doable. And then I'm coming from the partisan viewpoint as Republicans focus on what's going to be a bumpy election and you get on track. Yeah, I wanted to ask you about something else too. And again, I'm in the camp and I think you are. We see the success President Trump had in 2024 in Jersey. Yet we see in the Mikie Sherrill district, a woman who I think it's pretty clear is a Marxist win and win pretty convincingly. So what do we take away of what you have to do? You know how to win in Jersey. Is it still possible to do what you're doing? So here's the deal. I mean, we've got to understand how to run campaigns. You've got to be focused and we've got to work together as a cohesive unit. When I say we, I mean Republicans. And we're quite frankly not doing that. They always have to, now in all honesty, the tables are not equal because it's not fair. It's what I'm trying to say. They Democrats have more money, significantly more money as a rule number one. And number two, the by and large, the legacy media is always with them. The other issue here is we've really got to understand what happened in the Jack Ciattarelli when we have the governor's race. And during the governor's race, and I got to give it to our new governor.
She took the issue of affordability, all of the things that have been done by Democrats to make New Jersey ridiculously, absurdly expensive, the tolls, the taxes, the insurances, the energy costs. I could spend a half hour with you talking about that. It's not just Jersey, but Jersey is particularly bad, but one of the very worst in the country. She took those issues and ran on them. She took the Republican issues and ran on it. And the Republicans didn't run on the Republican issues. I'm not exactly sure. And I know it's hard, but we've got to understand how to run campaigns and get competitive. So I think that's real important in Jersey as well. Thirdly, people are concerned. You know, I always tell you the truth, Tom, things are expensive. They're concerned with the cost of gas. They're concerned with what's going on in Iran. They're concerned with numbers of issues that are. occurring right now and that's why i think we've really got to get these other things squared away try to come together as a party get that done and then focus on the fact that it is republicans who are working breaking their tail to make things more affordable we don't want to spend money all over the world exclusively but we don't want to spend money all over the world and we do think that people deserve a tax break and that's you know, Democrats want to basically increase taxes than they do, and they will. Absolutely. Congressman, to that point, what's crystal ball now? I know very clouded. The war in Iran, where's the off-ramp timelines, you know, relative, is it relatively imminent to get out of there? The president says it is. We have to take him in his word. 60 days are going to be up next week. They'll probably need an extension so that it doesn't have to come before Congress. God, I would like to see it's done when we have a total of 90 days. No boots on the ground. We don't want that. The president is committed not to doing that. That should not change. I do not support changing now. I don't want to see boots on the ground. And I do want us to get out. I think Strait of Hormuz is a... sticky situation. And I think that this has become an issue that while important, we've got to focus on the American issues and the American people and American affordability and American success. So what do I think our future is as we talk about the Republican Party? Strong borders. We did that well. We've done it very well. Strong borders, strong military, strong economy. strong infrastructure, making the United States of America number one in the world. Do you know in the North Pole, in the Arctic, that Russia has a good number of ice cutters, new ones, functioning ones, China's number is growing, dozens of them. We have one that's 50 years old. We can't keep doing this. We've got to focus on the important things, the substantive stuff.
absolutely congressman thank you as always to be continued have a great weekend you too i appreciate it don be safe all right congressman Jeff Van Drew coming up The War Department, no, the Justice Department announces it's re-adopting the firing squad as a means of execution. Oh. Yeah, I don't know if that's as bad because it could be poor shots or something. That might be problematic. And it's time for the Friday 5 this week, given the NFL draft, the five greatest football players ever. Well, Henry and I agree on any one of them specifically. Well, I think one. I feel like we have to. Yeah, I think so. This one I feel like needs to. Yeah, my number two, I don't think you will because you didn't have any living memory of them, certainly. So we'll see what you replaced with. We'll have that a little bit later on. A lot to unpack with the head of the Republicans in Pennsylvania, Greg Rothman. We had that vote yesterday and wanted to be clear. I found out the three people that didn't vote, including Senator Pentecook. They were away on personal leave. So it wasn't they voted the other way. Okay? We were clear about it yesterday. I thought wanted to be clear. But four Democrats voted to say, no, you can't have men in women's sports. Four, I think a lot more sympathized with that. When will the House vote on this? Now, he's involved with the PIA, which sets the rules. Why don't they just do it? Why don't they say, no, that's it. You're not doing this nonsense anymore. 855, 839, 12, 10, something associated with New Jersey. That's what we're looking for on Talk Radio 1210. I.E. F. Dom Chierdano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. All right, it is Dom time. By the way, from the peanut gallery, Rowe. can't do anything else but tell henry about the dom zone right the dom dom henry and yeah yeah you accused her of uh moving some things around exactly staplers maybe her response was tell dom to do his own vacuuming and dusting then and his quote unquote dom dome never happened the listeners should know fair enough there would be no dusting you have to because the you know the vocal but the The vacuuming, you can put that off for years. You don't need to be vacuuming there. Just let alone. There's a lot of wires, a lot of connections to all kinds of things. Some I don't even know. Okay. Every Friday, we give you five, not 10, takes too long. This week with the NFL draft, the top five NFL foot. When I Google this, just to see what various people said, they were putting Rinaldo in all. Like, that's F-U-T-B-O-L ball. It is not football. All right. So my number five, he's got to be on the list, even though he probably wouldn't be drafted in the first round today, the all-time leading receiver, Jerry Rice, I have at five. Yeah, that's a good one. I went a different route at five. I put a different receiver because this was hard for me because I want to put more contemporary players on my list because, frankly, three of the five, I really didn't see play. But number five, I took, I think, the best player I've ever seen in my lifetime, and that'd have to be Megatron, Calvin Johnson. I mean, it still holds the single season record for most yards in a season. I mean, no one got double covered more than that guy. I mean, he was getting double covered on the goal line because they were so afraid of the goal line fade that Stafford would throw to him. And, you know, they didn't even use that play anymore because he was the only one that was good at it. I would agree longevity. I know why I quit. I sanctioned. He's afraid of CTE, among other things. And playing for the lions at that time is, you know, risk your health. So he's worthy. In four, I used to have him higher. There was talk. He could be number one of all time. Mahomes. Still, I think, is unbelievable. Even though the resume's not anywhere near over, I say Mahomes. Wow, that's early. He was considered for me, but I couldn't quite do it. I couldn't quite do it. Now, I had to put a different lion in at number four here. I had to go with another one who called it a career way too early, but in his 10 seasons, he was a 10-time pro bowler, and he rushed for 2,000 yards. back in 1997, his second and the last season. I'm, of course, talking about out of Oklahoma State, Barry Bernie Sanders. Well, as far as stuff doing stuff that nobody thinks is humanly possible, yes. And then the highlight tape, like, if you watch that today, it still holds up. You're like, oh, this guy would flourish in any era of football. He would be the man. So, yeah, he's good. We need a default. It's not just we need it. I just think he changed the game.
the ferocity of this guy, the fright he put into other teams, LT, and with President Trump, he's pretty funny, Lawrence Taylor. Yeah. You know what? We're right on the money here together with this one for once. I also have LT at number three. I mean, yeah. I mean, three-time defensive player of the year where those guys don't grow in trees. You don't see those very often. And just the man was playing out of his mind drugged out. I mean, he drove by the stadium one day. He saw the lights run. He was like, Oh, shoot, do I have a game and then turn into the parking lot? He's like, oh, I do have a game. So, I mean, if you can be that type of, you know, kind of knucklehead and then go in and absolutely dominate and be the best, most ferocious defensive player of all time, yeah, you've got to be on the top five list. In second place, and again, Ray Dittinger would vouch for this. He might put him even number one, the great Jim Brown, who before his time, he shouldn't have been out of playing that era. It was laughable. to see a guy that size and speed. It's kind of like Will in the NBA. I would put Jim Brown in the NFL. Yeah, he was unfair. He was unfair then. But I'm going to differ with you a little bit here. I'm going to take your number five. Move them up all the way to number two. I'm taking Jerry Rice here. I mean, the NFL's all-time leading receiver here with just under 23,000 yards. The all-time receptions leader with 1549, all-time touchdowns leader with 197. all-time first downs leader with 1092. I mean, the guy played for 20 years. I mean, the guy played from 1985 to 2004. That's a crazy thing. Give us a few downs right now. Yeah. I mean, that's all it was. It's just like, Jerry, like, you still got it a little bit. Like, who was he playing for in his last season? Seattle? Like, and he had, whatever, he had 362 yards on 14.5 yards per catch. I mean, he was a first down pretty much every time he caught the ball. And the number one of the Friday five, because of the importance of the position, it is the most important in sports, even though I despise him for not shaking the great Nick Falls hands. I was talking to Walter Kosk, our guy there at the jug handle, promotions guy, reliving what it was like behind the scenes with Nick Falls. We've done some big events. I mean, huge guests for politics and pints. But the Falls won. Oh, yeah. It was across all six stations. Everybody in the world wanted a piece. They were trying to climb up on the stage like it was a rock concert. Nick Bowles was, oh, golly, gee. No, get them out of here. It is Tom Brady. Yeah. Yeah, I'm right there with you, number one as well. It's got to be Tom. I mean, you know when seven Super Bowl is getting lucky. I mean, the guy was the quarterback. If that didn't do it, nothing will. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I don't think he's a horrible commentator now, too. I think he's gotten better. That's the thing. You knew he was going to get better at it because everyone's familiar with how good his work ethic is, how he brings everyone around him up. I mean, you know, his big debate, whether it was more Belichick or more Brady, you know, in those Patriots dynasty years. And I think the answer is, you know, resoundingly Brady at this point because he did go to the box. He won with them. And he took him to the playoffs. So, you know. all his years there. Where's Bill? I mean, it remains to be seen what he'll do in North Carolina. But, yeah, I mean, seven Super Bowls most of all time. I mean, the guy's a comeback player of the year award. Exactly. He missed one season, one season, like in his entire career. And he came back. He's like, I'm the best player still. I wish the girlfriend were around then and Tom Brady would have some commentary on it. She was probably like three or four. All right. Coming up, we got a lot to unpack.
with Greg Rothman, the head of the Republicans in Pennsylvania. The other day, he was asked about John Fetterman. If John Fetterman wants to run as a Republican, would they allow that? Would they meet that with open arms? He's next here. And by the way, let us know what you think of those top five. They were pretty much in sync across the board. 855-839, 1210. Domjiudano, weekdays noon till 3. From Talk Radio 1210, WPHD. Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. All right, welcome in. No race has more attention in my mind than the governor's race in Pennsylvania, ultimate swing state, Josh Shapiro, the ultimate chameleon. And also, what is going to happen with John Fetterman? A recent story this week indicating little or no support, mostly no support on the Democrat side. Suppose he decides to run as a Republican. All right, let's pose all that and talk with Senator Greg Rothman, who's the chairman of the Pennsylvania GOP, joins us in Philadelphia. A chairman, Greg Rothman, thanks, Greg, for coming back. Of course. Thanks for having me, Dom. Well, we saw this piece this week. I'm in the camp that, boy, we're living good here because John Fetterman is saying a lot of the right things on some issues, but he's still really the progressive that ran before on a number of issues. If he decided to run as a Republican, you seem to indicate there might be something there. Well, I mean, in a sense, I'm speaking for myself and what my opinion is. But I will tell you, based on polls I've seen the majority of the Republicans in Pennsylvania when asked feel the same way. Senator Fred John Fetterman has been right on some of the most important issues of our time, including ending illegal border crossings, which President Trump has done, supporting a majority of President Trump's. appointments to his cabinet, which was necessary, and currently what's going on with Iran and supportive Israel, which, gosh, you know, I bet 80% of the people in Pennsylvania think that Iran has been our enemy for 47 years, and Israel has been our friend and deserves our friendship. And I watched Senator John Fetterman on Fox News the night. I mean, he sounds like a... perfectly reasonable America first, protect our allies, defend ourselves against countries like Iran that have been fighting proxy wars against us for nearly 50 years. And I think the majority of the American people and Pennsylvaniaans agree with them. If he switches and becomes a Republican, I don't know if that's enough. There's still other very important issues that we probably disagree with him on 80%, probably. But on the ones that matter right now, why shouldn't we be supporting it? I'll give it the other side. Yeah, I'm not in it. But in talk radio, Greg, there are a number of listeners, even some hosts who say, aha, he's luring us with this.
I don't see it that way, but I don't see his policies being able to be the standard bear running in the Senate on the Republican side. Yeah, and probably not, but look, you know, big picture, if someone's with me 20% of the time, I'd at least recognize it. And the idea that, you know, his party has abandoned him, tells you a lot more about them than me. I mean, there have been some great, great Democrats over the years that became Republican, including Ronald Reagan and Gene Fitzpatrick. I mean, look what Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has done for the Trump administration. Okay, I hear you. We're really interested in it. It is interesting what he's been doing. I wanted to pick your brain. Hasan Piker is coming to Philadelphia a week from yesterday, Thursday. And I wonder how much it's on your radar screen here in Pennsylvania because he's consorting with any number of Democrats. The guy in Michigan, for example, went up a lot. He's coming here for Chris Rav, the state representative, who is. Well, you know, you have served with him in the other house. I mean, he is, he would fit into the squad. He might even be more pugnacious and left than they are. Your sense as a strategist on this with Hasan Piker, who has more baggage in anybody, but the media here in Philadelphia endorsed, the Philadelphia Enquirer endorsed Rab in that race. And they see Hasan Piker is just kind of a liberal, I guess. Well, yeah, I mean, but he's an anti-Semite liberal. Yes. I mean, and that's, that has become acceptable in the, in the Democratic Party. By the way, I don't think this is anything new, Dom. The Democratic Party has been the racist, hate-filled, bigoted party since its inception. I mean, this is a, this is a party that protected slavery that founded the Ku Klux Klan. I mean, it's to hear about the Southern poverty leadership. Right. Spending money on hate groups. I mean, they've, the Democrat Party has been the party that encouraged hate. And the way they treat, have treated people in the last, you know, during the Trump administration. I mean, when I'm knocking on doors, I see a house that says, hate has no home here. I mean, they're the ones are usually screaming at me to get off their law. I'm like, this is a party that has, they've accepted anti-Semitism. And for that matter. They've defended their history. Remember, Robert Byrd was a Senate leader. He was a former Ku Klux Klan member. So the fact that the modern-day Democrats are okay with anti-Semitism is disgusting, but doesn't surprise me. And the fact that the Democrats have been leaving the Democratic Party for the Republican Party, and we've picked up about a million voters over the last 10 years shift. Now, some of them have become independence. It just tells you how wrong they are in their policies. But look, I mean, we see this with the Palestinian flags and the support of now. Even Iran. I mean, in the city of Philadelphia, you had speakers talking about, you know, sending American soldiers back in body bags. Exactly. That's disgusting. I mean, those people should be deported from the state and deported from the country if they're not citizens. I mean, and, you know, otherwise, you know, they're.
And they should be rejected and they should be called out. And there's no place for that, not in America. Exactly. I wanted to turn where you have unique expertise, given the history of the PIA, seven times yesterday we had the state Senate. And on the record, I think more of it, but on the record, four Democrats voted to say no boys, no men, and girls or women's sports. And yet we still can't get a vote in the House where this was passed. And Josh Shapiro, who's usually more on top of something, Albert Eisenberg wrote a column this week, how the vibe has shifted tremendously on this issue. He's still adamant about it, not even under the surface. What can be done? Is there no way to get a vote in the House? Well, yeah, I mean, look, this is still a constitutional republic that responds to the people's wishes, and your listeners need to reach out and tell their state senator and their state, tell their House members, not to put this on the vote. They need to put pressure on the House Democrats to bring up the vote. Look, bring up the vote and let people vote however they want. Or like we saw in the Senate, we had a couple members, one in particular, the new senator from Lancaster. who went on personal leave so he wouldn't have to vote on it. I mean, that's, and our leader called him out on it, and it struck a nerve with earlier. I want to be clear on this. I'm sorry, Greg, to interrupt, but personal leave because I'm a big fan of Senator Pennycook, and yet she went on personal leave too. Well, yeah, and she had a family. She had a family issue. All right. I'm great to clarify. Yeah. Yeah. No, this was specifically a Democrat who had voted yes before. They got a lot of heat for voting yes before. And, but, you know, look, this is a, you mentioned John Fetterman and how we respond to it. We should be thanking the four Democratic members who voted yes. Yes. And it was a bipartisan vote. I mean, sometimes we don't get 30 votes on. budget bills. So there are plenty of things that happen that don't get 30 votes. But this is how hijacked the Democratic Party and how radical the House members in the Democratic House side are where an issue that, you know, has 80% support. And by the way, like I have four daughters, Dom. Like, you'd think that those who champion women's rights would say, why would we deny women the chance to participate in sports? And Governor Josh Shapiro wants to be president, and he knows he can't be president without that 20% radical part of his party around the country and in New York and Philadelphia, where he's getting a lot of his donors from, that they're the ones that are pushing this agenda, which... He's so anti-woman, anti-female, anti-little girls. I mean, I got an eight-year-old daughter is playing soccer. I can't imagine her having to compete against men when she's in high school and have an opportunity to play in college and having to compete against men. It's just, and my other daughter's an 11-year-old. She plays softball.
It was an easy vote for me, and I co-sponsored the bill. Well, let me ask the PIA, which you have, you know, experience with. Can't they intervene in this finally? What's their stance right now, Greg? Well, and I believe that based on the executive order signed by President Trump, the PI.A. can't allow women to participate in men's sports. But what are they doing? Are they saying that, Greg? Well, I think what we're seeing, like, the Olympic International Olympic Committee came out and said it. So I think that more importantly with this current bill, we know that the executive orders will expire when President Trump leaves office. So we're trying to make sure that we codify the law. But I think the executive order does a lot to going a lot in long ways. And, you know, the PIA has told us they would follow whatever the... you know, whatever they're told to do in this case, in executive orders. So, all right. But I don't know, you know, I don't know if that's our concern right now. We're thinking about long term because President Trump is only going to be in office for a couple more years. The governor's race now. I see that treasurer, Stacey Garrity, has said she can't pay for the security measures. Can you break that down for the executive mansion? Or which one? So look, we're the Republican Party in the last couple of years. We saw our presidential nominee, now the President Donald Trump, shot. We saw him nearly assassinated. And the second time, someone stopped him assassinated. We saw President Trump's biggest defender, Charlie Kirk, who I knew, shot and killed. We know political violence and are concerned about political violence. If Josh Shapiro had come to the legislature and said, hey, I need to do some stuff from my private residence, you know, that's a conversation we should have. And we talk about, okay, so what happens after you leave office? Who's paying for it? How's it being paid? You know, are you putting this out the bid? Is it going to be, you know, are there going to be bids on it? Are you doing all the necessary stuff? Are there some things that you should actually have to pay for yourself? That's not what happened. The governor just did whatever he felt like he wanted to do. He's not a king. He doesn't have the authority to do things without the legislature approval on his own private property. And he's placed the treasurer in a position where she had to make a decision, have to follow the law and follow the rule. And the rules and the laws, as the Democrats tell us, no one's above the law. But you also have a situation where he did the same thing to his neighbor. I mean, just took his property. Exactly. And instead of, you know, he didn't make an offer to buy it, and the neighbor said no. And instead of saying, oh, well, that's how the market works, I better either raise my offer or figure out something else. He decides to try to take it through adverse possession. or eminent domain. Yeah. I mean, this is Josh Shapiro who just thinks he's above the law. I mean, that's the, you know, that we see it. And, you know, he sued the Trump administration over and over and over again, despite the fact that he can't get votes on these things. So I don't know what's going to happen, but I appreciate the fact that Treasurer Garrity actually.
believes in in following the law and following the rules and and and i'm not going to be lectured to by um the democratic party about political violence um and when when when what has happened to our president and uh and charlie perk and for that matter cori caperton out in butler county exactly right where do we go to help the republican party and for more information great Yeah, p-a-gop.org. I'd love for you. Go online. There's a chance people can sign up to volunteer to work in the primaries coming up on May 19th. We need to get out the vote. You can vote early. They'll give it to you. You've got to show your ID, which you should have to. But also p-a-g-gop-org, you can give contributions. We need... We need money, and unfortunately, elections cost money, and we're going to be bringing in a lot of staff to work in Pennsylvania. It's the most important state in the country, to the R&C, and to the White House. We hope to see some visits from President Trump, too. Absolutely. PHUOP.org. Thank you very much, Sherman. Thanks for joining, as always. Thank you, Doc. Take care. All right, Greg Rothman here on Talk Radio 1210. Here's how you get in, 85, 839, 1210. So you heard the John Fetterman thing. Look, I'm in the camp. Some people don't talk, oh, this is exactly what they're cooking up. I don't see him as anybody we could support his nominee. But on certain big issues, encourage him, continue to do this. He is enraging them on critical, critical issues. 855-839-12-10. Your call's coming up a little bit. We're going to talk with the head of HUD in Pennsylvania. They always ask us, Scott Turner, because among other things they sent us, I mentioned this the other day, they want to have alternate credit scores, two modern credit scores that give aspiring homeowners credit for paying their rent and utilities. Now, I'm usually in the world of sports skeptical of this stuff. Like, hey, what's your batting average? Come on. I just don't know. Go by batting averages. How many RBI? I don't go by batting. We have OPS plus slash 22 hike stuff. You're going to hear that. It might be considering getting on. It might give you a sense. They're moving to heaven and earth to try to get people on homes, and that's a good thing. He'll be with us, and he was also a seventh round draft pick. Got to ask him what that's like. Here's how you get in. 855-839, 1210. Tom's your Dono on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. All right, Linda Kearns, this one's for you. There you go, Linda. Match that Elvis. Come on. You can't sing that Elvis. Right. You're too callow. Don't try singing my way. Stop it already. All right. Harry Lopez, interestingly, responding to me because of my beef, why is Alante McCauley being filmed by the Philadelphia Police? Not in, you know, the city council and all that stuff. Being filmed, though, in a hallway there when the media is interviewing him.
Harry says they're filming him because he's become a pain in the behind for city council. Well, that's what I think it is. He can be filmed in public since there isn't any reasonable expectation of privacy. We know that. Yet, it wouldn't surprise me if he's now considered a political agitator and under surveillance. I plan to keep this up because I don't care if it is the cops. In fact, when it's the cops, I'm going to holler louder. Under what law? Or what proposal or who to hell at the Philadelphia Police Department thinks that a guy this much a constitutionalist, this much a patriot, this much a good citizen who just for a minute a week speaks needs to be under surveillance. That's what this is, Philadelphia Police. This is surveillance. You mean to say in a city like Philadelphia, with thousands of criminals, with those clowns that Rothman just mentioned, saying, we want to bring Americans back and body bats. Hey, Philadelphia police, you weren't there filming them. It was Frankie Scales. Why are the Philadelphia police filming this guy? That ought to offend everybody. Well, because we can. Okay, then, that's it. I don't care about this organization then. If that's your arrogant attitude. What is McCauley Alante McCauley done other than show up at city council? It was after the Republican Party. Is he dangerous? In what universe is this guy threatened anybody? What is it about him? Just think about how vulnerable this whole rotten system is in Philadelphia. Where a guy shows up one minute a week. On Monday, we're going to have him on. He'll be. flipping the red the Trump flag in the middle of North Philly at a barbershop with people coming from Chicago. Why in the world would this be a threat? No, no, no. I'm calling out the FOP and all my cop sources too. You don't have to send me anything. You're in agreement with me, I'm sure. This is a waste of resource. I have to film him. Anything can happen. Why is he under surveillance here in the hallway at City Hall? There's been no threat. There's been nothing other than they even took away his minute this week. Everybody that's pro-cop, you ought to in one voice behind the scenes. I don't know if they'll answer us. We're not answering that. That's a police matter. No, no, no. We have you on film. Kirk, you said it's another influencer, right? It's not Frankie. It's another one. Correct. Yeah. So why are these people a threat? What's the surveillance for? Now, if I go to one of his things, are they going to be filming me? I make sure I have the hair perfectly in play. Sorry, wait a minute. Stop the camera there. Well, we can film you're in public. I know, but I want to brush my hair first. All right. Now, if you film me without brushing my hair, all I can say is that seems defamatory to me. That's what you're trying to do. It's not an accurate representation. Not an accurate representation. Henry, show up. Just put a suit jacket on and say ipso facto. Not an accurate representation. We're suing you. I'm stunned by this, and I don't think anybody else saw it. Come on, Dom, you're making too much of. No, no, no, no. If we're going to support blood, sweating tears, law enforcement, then law enforcement in Philadelphia can't be a stooge. They can't be who ordered that? Would that be ordered at a captain in my police stories? You can text me and tell you who do you think would be, I'll find out. Who would be ordering that this guy be filmed constantly?
Would it be somebody in the Philadelphia Police Department that sides with the other side? They want to get something on Alante McCauley? Is that what? How is a guy a threat speaking one minute a week? How is that possible? I'm thrilled that we have this platform, like no other, that I saw this guy that first week in January and said, I got to tell him, we got to get this guy on. This is unbelievable. Even I didn't think, though. It would reach the level where the Philadelphia police are filming him when he's just conducting an interview with NBC10. Why? What would that footage tell you? And I see, Harry on Twitter, I get it. Yeah, you're in public. We know that. I know all that. I'm calling into question. An organization, yeah, the Philadelphia police that have so much going on out there. And what are they going to do when Krasner starts up about ICE wearing the mask? Are they going to try to arrest ICE? Is that the next step? Somebody will give the order? Yeah, let's go arrest them. All right, let's go to Mike in Chester County. Mike's on Talk Radio 1210. Hey, Mike, afternoon to you. Good afternoon, Dom. How are you? Good, Mike. It's been a while, so I guess Happy New Year is appropriate. Every day when you call in. Absolutely. It's always a pre- it's always New Year's here. Right. By the way, great listeners at the, Henry, at the jug handle gave me this fine wine. I got to read the label, Mike, and one second, over the weekend to you and said, oh, make sure you crack it open saying, happy New Year down the short. There you go. All the way to the jug handle and bring in wine. Nice. That's great. So my answer on the side question today would be smoke stacks. Okay. And I'll explain that to you. George Carlin, who was one of my favorite comedians, used to tell a joke decades ago about New Jersey. His joke was... New Jersey, the Garden State. What the heck are they growing? Smokestacks? Yeah, well put. Do you remember the first time you saw, I have a thing about the first time I saw somebody that great. I remember him. I think it was the Tonight Show that I saw Carlin, and I went, oh, my God. It was about... going to visit Mary and the guy knew he was going to be trying to get frisky with Mary and that's three sins thinking about it going there doing it then thinking about it afterward it was just brilliant stuff yeah he was he was a piece of work but all right Tom have a have a great thank you thank you I can imagine the scout was there to look for somebody else and he saw Mickey Mantle come to the plate and I think the scout said he went oh my god it was like seeing Hercules or Zeus
put into bat and he just had to get to have cell phones and he had to run to a phone sign this guy what do you mean sign him you know whatever the amount is just sign him right now we want him get him out of kidnap him if you have to i just think of the first time that we saw somebody went oh my god um never has been as good although she's great but in speed the first time we saw uh what's uh why am i the actress, Miss Congeniality. Sandra Bullock. Yeah, Sandra Bullock. It was magic. It was a perfect role for her to be driving a thing where you had to go 50 over top of, yeah, beautifully done. All right, it's 855, 839, 12, 10. Special guests coming up. They're in the area, so they ask to come on. We always want to do that, particularly they got something. Pretty intriguing. Affordability is a big issue of the day, right? Scott Turner is the Secretary of HUD. And one of the things they're doing, alternate credit scores. I'm not sure of my credit score. I think it's really good. Rose, I can't vouch for her. I denounce that part of it. Come on. Henry, do you know your credit score? Not off the top of my head. How about you, Kirk? Nope. All right. I don't know how we would ascertain that quickly. I know how to get it. Yeah, yeah. No, I can't get it. Yeah, okay. But they're coming up with a way other than the conventional score that's out there now. He'll explain. In other words, it's another way to get people in the housing. You can be suspect of it. Remember what happened in 2008? I don't think it's a bad idea, though. He'll explain, and he was drafted in the seventh round. We'll talk to him about that all straight ahead. Talk Radio 1210. First, though, let's talk about Dr. Bents. A happy National Prostodonics Awareness Week. Let's talk about my friends and board-certified prostitonist Dr. Robert Bents and Dr. Emily Bents of the Bentz Dental Group in East Norton. Now, we hear about great dentists all the time, all true. But this is a special breed, really. A board certified prostodontas. It takes, first of all, several extra years of training and then the exams to become a board certified prostodontas and fewer than half, half of one percent of dentists, fewer than that nationally. Hold that distinction. You have two right here at the Ben Stental Group. That gives you great dental care, great care, and it also opens up more hours that you can get in to get that care. So from dental implants, which I had and went really well, to advanced training specialties and on-site digital lab, really, they really zone in on showing you exactly what the issue might be. They'll make your visit as comfortable and convenient as possible. So see Dr. Bence, my dentist, my prostidonnas for over 11 years, or Dr. Emily Bents, at the Bentz Dental Group. Get the oral health you need and deserve and a beautiful smile you've always wanted to visit bentsdentalgroup.com or call 610272-949. To book that appointment, do it now, Bents, B-E-N-T-Z Dental Group.com. Tom Chiodano on Talk Radio 1210, W-P-H-H-T.
All right, what a day to have on it. He's been with us before. The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, who's in the area, at least in Pennsylvania, Scott Turner, not only affordability of the agenda, but alternate credit scores. Think about how many ads we see on credit scores. Should there be only one way to determine that? Plus, he was the seventh round draft pick a little while back. I'm going to ask him, yeah, there should have been a different score. He should have been at least in the top. Did he think he was going to be drafted in the first round back then? What was his agent telling him? Yeah, what was your agent tell you? Let's go to the secretary. Secretary, welcome the town. Yeah, what was that like seventh round back down? A lot of rounds, huh? Yes, sir. Well, thank you, Dom. You know, when you get drafted into the NFL, it's a dream come true. And two years prior to my draft day, you know, they had 12 rounds in the draft. And so when I got that call in the seventh round in 1995, pick number 226, man, it was just, it was life-changing. You know, you think about it being 23 years old. having gone through everything I had in my life. And, you know, everybody has a testimony of life. But to get that call from North Turner, you know, in the middle of the afternoon on April 22nd, 1995, you know. hearing them say, we want you to be a Washington Redskin, it's life-changing. And so to see these young men, you know, to get that chance in current day in this draft really is. It's an emotional time, but I love to rejoice with them. Sure. How many years did you play? Nine. Oh, boy, that's a lifetime, right? Yes, sir. Yeah, it was a strong run. I'm very blessed. to have them to play, you know, for that period of time. You know, the kids today are playing, you know, a little bit longer. The technology is different. Equipments, different. Rules are different. The kids are a lot faster, a lot bigger, you know, but they do have more protections, which I'm grateful for. But I want them to play as long as they can, you know, and stay healthy. One, before we get to the business of the, I've got to ask you, who's the best guy you played against or if you weren't on the field when he was playing, who's the best that you saw in person? when you're playing. Rodney Harrison. Ah. Rodney Harrison is, yeah, man, he's the best football player I ever played with. He just, just his heart for the game and the way he approached the game and his skills. I mean, you think about a strong safety that had 37 sacks, 37 interceptions, and really he could have played on either side of the ball. Yeah. I think you don't want to come across the middle with a guy like that, right? No, you don't. He hit me one time. You know, it was friendly fire, but it was the hardest I ever been hitting my life. Yeah, absolutely. So we want to talk, too, about this alternate credit score. So versus the one we see on TV all the time, Secretary. What are some alternatives and what would they do for people wanting to get into that maybe first home?
Well, thank you, Dom. And, you know, our heart at HUD, you know, under President Trump, is to help American people achieve the American dream of home ownership, including first-time homebuyers. And so we just announced that our FHA mortgage program is going to move forward to accept VANETS score as well as FICO. 10 T scores so that we can broaden the availability for first-time homebuyers and homebuyers all across the country to utilize their rent and their utility payments to strengthen their credit score. And so this is a big announcement, you know, as we increase competition, we increase availability and really bring down the cost. of borrowing for the American people. So we're excited about this. What is it you're doing competitively? What is it that's going to build the housing supply? Well, when you think about building housing supply, the big thing right now is to bring down regulations. So in our country right now, we need between 7 and 10 million units of housing. And one of the things we have discovered is that the regulatory environment has been so crippling to development and construction around the country. And so we started on a federal level at HUD by tearing down the affirmatively further and fair housing rule, which in short really made HUD. a national zoning board to tell localities how they had to zone and build their neighborhoods. And that did not build not one single houses. So we tore down this Biden-Obama-era rule to restore flexibility back to the localities. And as I've traveled around the country and continue to do so, I've been encouraging and strongly encouraging localities, mayors, planning and zoning, economic development. Take a look at your regulatory environment and see what it is that you're doing that can ease the building and the construction. Because as I travel and meet with stakeholders and people in the industry, that's the number one thing they talk about is the regulation. And I'll give you a stat that will really bring this home for you. About $100,000 of the final cost to build a single family home is in regulatory fees. And if you think about that, that's $100,000 per home. That's not sustainable. And about $30,000 done to Biden-era green energy mandate, $30,000 was added to each project just because of these energy codes. And so we're tearing these regulations down to bring up the supply and take the cost down. I'm a big fan of the nugget. I'll use that nugget and credit you for now. Then I'll use it myself. $100,000 in regulatory costs. No wonder couples trying to get into that first home. I have trouble getting over the hill with that. That's right. And, you know, we want to, our FHA program, Dom, at HUD, in our first year, we helped over one million homebuyers be able to afford to buy a home, and 500,000 of those were first-time home buyers. And so now with expanding the availability, with the credit score, we're taking regulations down, you know, and President Trump is laser focused on this housing affordability, just signing two new executive orders.
one to bring down barriers to build an affordable housing. And another one is to increase and bring more people to the table as it pertains to mortgage availability to get the hometown lender there, to get the community banks back to the table. And so I'm excited what we're doing. You know, we've done a lot, but there's a lot to be done. What are you doing in Pennsylvania? Why to visit the Pennsylvania? So here, you know, I visited the hearth, which is a transitional housing entity here that helps single mothers that have children that have been through trauma, domestic violence mostly. And so I visited there to see what they're doing because this is a well-run, intentional, purposeful. I guess you would call a mission, that these ladies that come here have experienced extreme trauma, and they have children, and they've gone through domestic violence, and so they have a place where they can come and have housing, but also have wraparound services. And I visited with two ladies and their children, and I asked them, you know, how long have you been here? One's been there almost a year, and another's only been there just short of a month. And the very first thing they said, give me a couple of takeaways. They said, number one is I've learned independence and that I'm safe and healthy here and that I can be independent and not codependent on someone who's abusing me. And so they literally are using this ministry, if you will, this mission to change the lives of ladies. all across the spectrum and their children to give them a safe place to live, the transition, to develop their skills, and then to live a life of self-sustainability. So it's very encouraging for me. Well, Secretary, we're thankful every time that you come on. So keep up the great work, and this is really the cutting edge. I hope this new credit score thing really frees things up, but 100,000 in regulation. Wow. Thank you for that today. Thanks, Scott Turner. Thank you very much, Secretary. Thanks for joining us. All right, what a day to have him on to post the first round. Rodney Harrison. I don't think he played when Dawkins was playing. I'm going to say just, look, maybe he did. I should have asked from afar, Dawkins is the guy. You just don't want to come over to the middle. You don't even want to think about it. I mean, and clean hits, not, you know, what Jack Tatum did or something like that. They must have played. Maybe. Maybe he came in in 95 when a doc coming, not too. Yeah, maybe 2000. Maybe 2000, I think. All right. So you heard what they're doing on affordability. And that is everything they possibly can. And what is the enemy? I saw a story today. The group that does the national scores of state by state, which states are the freest? By that I mean, not over-regulated. Guess which state is the worst, the most unfree, the most tyrannical? Jersey, of course. That's a side question today. Something you associate person, place, or thing, real or fictional with New Jersey. You can hit us with that, 855, 839, 12, 10. But this idea of affordability, look, the media is going to gush. And you just heard Jeff Van Drew say, Mikie Sherrill ran a campaign where she focused on that, even though it's a lie, she focused on it and got away with it. This is what the challenge is.
And each day that goes by my urgency scale, I'm just not built for this. I mean, I just would be, I got to do something right now if I'm the Republican Party. And I'm not counting on this idea of Supreme Court justices retiring. That will do it. We need a spark here. I don't know what that is. They have it. Hatred of Trump. And they have a word affordability. That's all. Oh, and by the way, we hate Israel. We hate Jews. And long live Hasan Piker. I'm just reading during the breaks. National Review's got a story on this, Hasan Piker. His net worth, they believe, is at least $8 million. And what he takes in each month is unbelievable. He drives a $200,000 car. And yet this guy's coming to Philadelphia as a socialist. And the Philadelphia Inquirer can't get enough. And the people in Mount Airy. They want all the benefits of capitalism, one of which is to be so rich, they want to be taxed to death, and they want to put that on us. And we know for the Marxist utopia is got to be bloodshed. They're willing to do that too. All right, coming up, an oldie but goody. Well, a new version of this Welsh woman. You got to see her on YouTube. This is the woman. That's the template for these progressive women gone wild, really. She's next. And your calls. And we got Dom's Money, Melody, for a great prize. We've got a winner for the week. We'll pull out of the hat. 855-839, 12-10. By the way, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, back to Pakistan tomorrow. I don't know what the allure of that is other than the Iranian saying yada, yada, yada, again for another week. 855 839 1210. Tom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHD. For this year, get any fucking whew? Dom Giordano presents. Progressive women. Your words are garbage, and you're a bad person at this point. Gone wild.
That's right every day at this time, and there's so many usual suspects out there. By the way, I got something on Brian Fitzpatrick that's just, oh, my goodness, what he told Punchbowl, what he would become if we didn't have closed primaries, which we definitely should have in Pennsylvania. Democrats shouldn't be able to vote. You want to vote? Change your registration, at least a Republican. But Jennifer Welsh, I first saw her. She's an interior decorator, and she has this woman that just nods and goes, yeah, and everything she says. That's pretty funny. A podcaster with a vast audience. By the way, the Midas touch, all they do is attack Trump every day. They beat Joe Rogan out again last week. It's amazing. The audience. That's it. Just attack Trump. Here she's talking about she thinks the Democrats are so woozy. that they're almost like fascist collaborators. Maybe we ought to shave their heads at the end of this once Trump's out. Here is podcast star and progressive woman gone wild star Jennifer Welsh. Hold on. What's going on there? Let me restart this. I don't know why that sounds like. Maybe she's interior decorating. Here we go. Okay. All right. Let's try this again. Hold on. And basically you have a bunch of dirty cops in the Oval Office right now and the entire executive branch is a crime syndicate. And Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries should be building the biggest opposition to this. And oftentimes they appear more like fascist collaborators than they do a full-blown opposition to it. So there's no adder boy for me to Chuck Schumer. All right, fascist collaborators. That's the new thing. That's what you're going to be called. Remember that the women in Paris who dated the Nazis and were, you know, goose stepping down the Champsulise and how they shaved their heads en masse afterward? That's what's going to happen to these guys. Let's go. Oh, yesterday at the jug handle. Several people said, really. Come on, now, have you met Joe of Exston? Come on, Tom. Is that guy really an actor? That's not real. Do you write the lines for him? Henry Slip him, something? And I'm going, oh, yeah, that's how this works. Could we write this stuff? Could we write Zenos' script? Imagine how he would now. Stop, guys. No one's going to believe this. Let's go to Joe of Exston here on Talk Radio, 12 said. Hey, Joe, good afternoon. Yes, Tom, you're early. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. Good afternoon. And as for my side answer, New Jersey has the distinction of being the home of an Kay Ivey League university that goes by the name of Princeton University. Okay. Yes. Is there more? No. Okay. All right. Thank you, Joe. Yeah, Princeton is very much. Alan was, no, no, it wasn't Alan. No, it was Mike. Now, was there yesterday from Hamilton. But let's go to Allen in Hamilton. He could, it was somebody from Hamilton. Hey, Alan, good afternoon. What's yours today? Well, I was, what he just said? Princeton and Trenton, Mammoth, Red Bank.
These are all major battles in the American Revolution. They're all in New Jersey. So if it was the Revolutionary War history, you have to come here. Yeah. And if I say it again, I'll get all those letters about the Hessians, we're drunk, and they tell, oh, no, that didn't happen. Washington Crossing. All right, Henry, here's cut one, though. I've been waiting for a spot to play this. We just talked to Scott Turner about being over-regulated. Here's a commentator, I believe, Monmouth County, talking about all this Mount Laurel stuff that Jack Ciattarelli would have fought, Mikie Sherrill, affordable housing in Jersey, relishes this. Listen to what she says about this. It's counterintuitive. It's not just, you're going to pay a lot more, they're going to wreck your quality of life, but they're letting the developers. Wouldn't you think progressives were against the so-called developers? Not when they can come in and put so-called affordable housing like Medford to wreck your town. Listen to her commentary. I live in downtown Hoboken and I see these three to four giant apartment buildings going up. And I moved here like two years ago. So this is just within the last two years. And I'm from Monmouth County. I live not too far from Pier Village. Pier Village used to be a beautiful place. Locals used to go there all the time. And now we don't. You want to know why? Because it's so overdeveloped. What they have done with Long Branch, West Long Branch, is nothing short of disgusting. They have all these giant apartment buildings going up. They completely overdeveloped the area. You can't even see the ocean. And they have these giant skyscrapers going up. It looks awful. It doesn't fit in with the town. It doesn't fit in with a vibe. It's a beach town. So they completely overdeveloped. the area and a lot of people don't like going there anymore. And it wasn't like this like 10 years ago. So when I was in high school, 2016, 2017, a lot of people liked going to Peer Village. And now people just don't go. None of the locals go there anymore. It's because it becomes so overdeveloped. Well, that's what's going to happen. You voted for it. Mikie Sherrill will deliver over the next four or five years. Ten, my God, how dense would be. All right, coming up, Brian Fitzpatrick says, what he would do if Pennsylvania had open primaries. In other words, you didn't have to be a Republican or didn't have to be a Democrat, that kind of thing. What would the great man out there in Bucks County holds us hostage every day if he really could? It displays more fully than I ever can't, what he's all about and what he sees himself as and how out of step he is with any kind of Republican party that I would support. All right, we got Dom's Money Melody. We'll get the winner for the entire week. All that coming up. And you get him right now. Everybody's got one. Something associated with Jersey. I have to take off the board. No one said it. Can't pump your own gas. That's a big one. I thought somebody would say it. Too easy. Too easy. Yeah. That's a sign of the apocalypse, too, if they ever allow it. All right. 855-839-1210. That's how you get in. Dom Gierdano, weekdays, noon till 3, from Talk Radio 1210, WPHD. Tom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. All right, it is Domptime. Side question today. Things associated with New Jersey. The Jug Handel-in, just a great name.
They have, I don't know if they were roosters or not walking around on the outside when you're parking and they have their own space. You can't park there. Interesting place. Great time with listeners yesterday. But Brian Fitzpatrick. I don't know that he came up. There are a lot of people, you know, after a few drinks talking about Biden and some of the Bidenisms. But Fitzpatrick. is just said to Punchbowl, which is an insider in the swamp in Washington group, he would leave the Republican Party and become an independent at Pennsylvania had an open primary, citing the state's closed primary system as a reason he's not done so. He made the remarks during a flyout day conversation with Punch Bowl News. When he was asked directly, why don't you just become an independent? And he replied, because I live in a closed primary state. When asked a follow up, would you, if you didn't? He answered yes, 100%. Okay, so this guy can't even identify as a, and let's talk about for a moment. Look, if you're a principled independent. I've always, though, from the time this started and talk radio, I've been suspect of it for this reason. It's kind of like you're telling us you're purer than the rest of us. You are someone who is just making choices completely ethically. Look, it's one thing if you are a member of a party. And then you vote for a member of the other party. You know, that happens. That's the way to do it. But I've never thought of putting the shingle outside independent. And then, okay, maybe I get a little bit people saying, well, I'm doing that because I'm trying to bring down the two-party system. All right. But here, a sitting Republican of longstanding, his brother, a principal Republican, says the only reason he tells Punchball, even for Fitzpatrick. that he remains in the Republican Party is because of the closed primary system. He couldn't get in there then. He would just have to run in the general election, I guess, is what he's saying as an independent, and that would be impossible. I get we're up against it. I'm not feeling the urgency across the board. Whatever hope we have, each seat is precious, and we have to win that seat. And we have to just push on to the end and hope we catch fire, say, a month before. I don't know what the October surprise might be. I do think the war will be over sometime in June. I'd put it at, maybe. But again, with the Iranian, somebody's going to have to tell them that that it's over. And then we shift. But where, what are we doing that is going to light the fire to match the Democrats fire? You know, you have the historical thing that in the midterms, the party in power is going to lose some seats. It's kind of rare that they pick up any or hold their own. And we are at a point where it's very difficult to maintain the majority. But Fitzpatrick is just blatant. What are you going to do? Whatever he wants to do.
That's what it comes down. I would become an independent. The only reason I don't, that's what I really am, is because of the fact, now, if I agreed with the policies and he wanted the rapper of being independent, but I don't. I mean, Fitzpatrick was on the side against the bill saying, you know what, we're not going to have boys and girls sports and all. Come on. Gender affirming care. Yeah, we're going to allow that. Right there, there's a deal breaker of deal. You just can't do that because in my mind, I suspect you on just about everything. It's a simple, basic thing. So I just thought I'd share that, the a jada of it. I would be an independent except I'm in a closed primary state. And I guess we'd all bow down and have to vote for them still. All right, 855, 839, 12, 10. If you miss the top of the show, though, I'm trying to get to the, it's no small thing to me. And I think most people, what unites us, people to listen to talk radio, one way or the other. Jeff Van Drew mentioned today FISA, right? And reform needed there. Even if people are not fully on board, say with President Trump or the Trump persona, they're very suspect. of government encroachment, very libertarian. Rand Paul would be an example as a broad principle, okay? So when I see a guy who I haven't decided yet when we get to Mulligan's Domdei and all, but I think the top candidate for our local person of the year this year is Alante McCauley. I mean, it has been revolutionary. We might have two. And then we, National, and we try to lure them there to Mulligans, that would be Laura Ingram to throw the football. That would be, listen, Laura, there's $100,000. You just have to show up and throw the football. All right, where's that bag of money? Well, we don't think you throw it far enough. I'm still stunned by that this week. Do a throw off. Yeah, throw off. All right. You get the $100,000 if I can't throw it farther on you. Oh, the pressure. All right. So how in the world? Is this guy, he's just doing an interview in a hallway with NBC10, and I think we played you Channel 6. They did a brief interview with him, 15 seconds, leading on their coverage. Are the Philadelphia police filming that mob, that bloodthirsty mob, who I would bet, half of whom were there at City Hall are here illegally? Yeah, if not more. that were there egging on and cheerily, and I'm surprised they didn't fire off firecrackers there in the middle of city hall as they voted seven bills to be the most aggressive to go after heights. I would just like to know, Philadelphia police. Are you surveilling them? Oh, no, we couldn't do that. If you're here illegally in one of those illegal organization groups, the new sanctuary and all this stuff, oh no, we're not going to film you. We get in trouble. So then why is a cop standing there as Alante's just doing an interview on what he said? Now, we'll see if we can get an answer. But if they won't answer, that's even worse so. Who is it that would have ordered a cop when we don't have enough cops to be standing in a hallway at City Hall? Is this guy a subversive? Yes, in Philadelphia, he's as subversive. By showing up and letting them have it.
What they don't like to is not only is he speaking stuff, but let's face it, the guy is very entertaining. When this guy comes up, the world stops. You know, you have to notice. It's not the usual guy getting up there for a minute or two. This guy brings it each and every week. So what they ought to do, they ought to say, thanks, Alante. It's the First Amendment. We got it. You know, we're all on board with that. You spoke your piece. Okay. That's all. Why is this called hate speech? Why is he being filmed? It's no small thing to me. And you know my support for police in general, but I'm not supporting this and I'm calling him out on it. And you would think in all of Philadelphia, why is it only talk radio 1210 that reflects this point of view? We get lecture to all the time, don't we, by the Philadelphia, the Democrat Party. First Amendment rights. Now, I'm on Inside Story next week. We tape it on Fridays, you'll probably know. And I don't care how I have to weasel this in. You know, I think there'll be some issue. I'm going to make mention of this. Where are others in Philadelphia saying, no, let this guy alone. If he makes a threat, something that's illegal, arrest him. That's fair. It's just seen, and thanks to it, it's difficult for these people to be beaten. This is another influence. They're not Frankie Scales. But you've got Alante out there. You have scales. And think about what they're doing. They're using social media. And the fact that the Tesla King took over Twitter X, if that didn't happen, that would be another vehicle that is shut down. But due to that, We have an opportunity to see. I wouldn't have seen this. It was beautifully filmed. They film Alante. Then they flip a bit to the cop filming him. Why? Just in a hallway at City Hall. I'm not going to go crazy like the left. Oh, this is like Vladimir Putin. This is like Luca Peli Jr. last week telling us it's Vladimir Putin. It's Nazis. It's wrong. Let the guy alone. Not only that, he benefits you. He brings attention. He brings something here that you don't have. But they don't want that. So yesterday, they passed seven bills, and the thrust of the bills is this. This gives Krasner more power to run amok going after ice. Now, I'm not privy to. I don't know. how they're going to force ICE to take off their mask or try to do that. But Krasner is going to do that. And what he's going to do is he's going to bolster his campaign to run for mayor because Mikie Sherrill Parker, I don't think is signing off on this. And if she doesn't, the mob wants a mayor to turn the police loose on the side of taking off that mask. And if we hear one more debate, why would they be wearing a man? Stop it. All right. So we'll have more on that. We'll ask. It doesn't bother Alante. This guy is getting national exposure. People are looking at Philadelphia and saying, you know, there are blue cities, but this, this is bad. All right, Joe and Columbus, Joe's on Talk Radio 1210. Hello, Joe. Hey, Dom, good afternoon. Good afternoon.
How was your evening at the Juglet? Oh, it was a tremendous show with listeners, et cetera, there. A place is a little bit dark coming into it, but, and there was parking. My God, it was that hot. There must have been 300 cars out there. That's how crowded it was. Wow. It was nuts. Oh, yeah. You're an attraction. You know, we all know that. I was, I don't know. I think there were a multitude of people there, but we were like, it's going to be, my only regret is there was a pool table. I was going to show off, but it was right in the middle of where all the listeners were. Couldn't do it. Didn't get permission. I got to tell you, I'm not sure. I've never, the jug wings are fantastic. But those foul running around outside, I don't know if that's subliminal or if that's or the source of your wings. So you're saying, hey, you know, in the back room we ran out of wings. I go outside. Yeah, there's like five or six of them up and down the block. What cats are to a Chinese restaurant, those chicken and roocher may be to work. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Don't take that serious, Jug Handel. My side answer is a very abrupt and poignant and meaningful greeting from New Jersey, so much so that I've spent time out on the road away. I remember I was up in North Bay, Ontario, where it stays light to like 10, 15 at night. And I told my work, buddy. who grew up basically in the Buckingham area. I can't wait to get back to New Jersey and give that one unlucky motorist, the New Jersey State salute on the turf pike. And that is the middle finger. Very nice. I thought to Manhattan would claim that, but you're right. Jersey may be the Jersey way. Yeah, and I think more than any place, if you go slow in the left lane in Jersey, that is like the Cardinals. Oh, yeah. I'm an agreement. But, yeah, it is a Cardinal sin. Yeah. All right now, though, it is time for... It's Dobbs Money Melody. All right, we're playing today, Dom's Money Melody, for a four pack of tickets to see the Redding Phillies versus the Portland Sea Dogs at First Energy Stadium, Reading, Pennsylvania. Wednesday, June 10th, for tickets visit Reddingfillies.com. Yeah, so side question they were asking things associated with New Jersey. One of your answers to start the show was none other than Frank Sinatra, who was born in Hoboken. So I'm going to give you a cover of a Frank Sinatra song. I know, scandalous, scandalous. We're going to play a version of That's Life today. Oh, no. Covered by not a New Jersey resident, but a New Yorker. Oh, my God. A New Yorker, yeah. A cowboy singing, it might be anything worse. Yeah. Well, you might be asking why. Like, why a New Yorker? Well, this artist, I'm about to play you.
really, you know, honed her craft in New Jersey. She used to take the bus from New York City, from Manhattan, to Parsipone, to record stuff. And it was around 2006 where her manager decided, you know what, I don't think you're going to make it in the rock scene. How about we change it up to dance? Okay. And from then on, it was a straight shot to superstardom. I mean, this person's an absolute star in both the... musical world and in acting so much so that this person's first acting role was actually on an episode of the sopranos and she hates the performance she put up in the episode of the sopranos because to quote her it didn't have any nuance She didn't know when to laugh. She didn't know what to do. She was just all over the place. She looks back on that episode and cringes on just how poor of an actress she was at that point. But has since started on some pretty big movies and obviously has reached superstardom as a musical artist. So I'm going to play you this artist here today. I want to know who is covering Frank Sinatra's That's Life. What do you think of this one, Dom? Very flat, the shot down in May. I hear Sinatra too much in that, and I didn't like that. The voice is different, though. It's a great voice. Oh, absolutely, yeah, definitely a great voice. Want to know this New Yorker who would travel to New Jersey every day to hone her craft as a singer. By the way, this stuff, New Jersey, New York, is it true that Woody Hayes was recruiting football players, Ohio State's coach? In Michigan, they were running out of gas. Wouldn't fill it up there. He said push it to the Ohio side to the assistant coaches. I want to believe that. That's why those things. Too good to check out, which might be a side question someday. When I hear something like that, I'm not checking it out. I believe it right away. Okay, 855, 839, 1210. Who is covering that? The sacrilege of this. Hit us with that on Talk Radio 1210. Tom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. It's Dom Money Melody. Where has all the money gone? Show me to my... Ah. Dom's Money Melody, before we replay, I got some more Brian Fitzpatrick stuff. I'll give you that in a moment. This guy, thank you for you. You're a torture chamber. Really? All right. Let's hear to the replay. Big voice.
Singer and actress that honed her craft in Parsipany and was in an episode of The Sopranos as her first acting gig. She never mistakenly called and I put her on the air like I did with Janice. That was another one. She called OGL, she thought. And I picked up the phone and bang, she was on the air. Ada, right? Yeah. No, Janice. Yeah, Ada. Yes. Yes. I never got on the hottie there. No. Or Tony Soprano, but let's go to Missy in Northeast. All right, Missy, who's covering the song? Hi. Is it Beck Miller? You know, it's a shame that Miller has lost in minds, but the stuff that she did, the final Carson show, oh, it's magnetic. Yeah, but crazed. And I think she got Tootie-Fruity lemonade. Maybe that's water ice. Mike and Drexel Hill. Hello, Mike. Hey, Dom. This is it Lady Gaga. Wow, I never would have guessed that. Very well played, Mike. Enjoy the Redding Phillies. Yeah, any more on that, Henry? Yeah, Lady Gaga made her acting debut on an episode, season three episode of The Sopranos, the Telltale Moods, when she's in the swimming pool with friends and AJ, and they decide to trash the trophy case and throw everything in the pool. Remember that scene? Yeah, but I don't remember a lady. She's one of the girls singing in the bleachers smoking. Ah, I never would have noticed. How old would she have been? Oh, man. What would she have been here? Yeah. So she'd have been about 15. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, well, that's why I probably didn't notice it. Okay. Good stuff. All right. So Brian Fitzpatrick now, more of this punchball interview. This is what the Enquirer has up. Oh, God. Can a politician say, if I'm Stacey Garrity, am I calling this guy and saying, blank, blank, blank, Henry, he tells Punchball that he thinks Josh Shapiro will win the governor's race and that Josh Shapiro should run for president. What? Look, this is an uphill battle. This guy is ruthless, even politicians. Remember that whole thing? The VP thing with Kamala Harris, they couldn't put up with him. So it's hard enough. He's got big money from outside the state. He's got his sycophants in the media almost like no one we've ever seen, right? And Brian Fitzpatrick tells this news that, oh, yeah, he's going to win. And he should run for president. Really? Now, he won't come on ever again. I'm not going to bother Henry to ask me. I really don't even want because it's not worth it. It's just a Faustian that do we ride with this guy in the midterms. Well, I'm looking at the math. You got to. Who now says he would be an independent. The only reason he's not, I give him a for honesty, but is this stuff he ought to be saying about, yeah, Josh Shapiro will win re-election.
That's the direct line there. And he should run for president. Based on what, Brian? Maybe if you came to Bucks County and took your property, you might think differently. My goodness, this is what we're reduced to in the stuff. Think about it. Delaware County used to be overwhelmingly Republican. Producers I have like Dan, Henry, and they have no living memory. It was called the War Board. They were as Republican as Philadelphia was Democrat, if not more so. And now they're progressives. We have incompetent liberals big time out in horsey country of Chester County. Montgomery County, you have the Mr. Softie Truck guy with the prisoners voting. And Bucks County, the one bastion, we have a guy who says, yeah, I'm really an independent. I'm just using the Republican Party as a vehicle. And Josh Shapiro will win re-election and should run for president. All right. What are we left with there? What is it to hold on to in the sun? And we had Rich on. I was sitting in for Dawn and Dan a little bit today. And Rich has a piece up on the Washington Examiner talking about how the suburbs over in Jersey have become radicalized. One where he, I think was a county chairman at one point, that was reliably red and slightly purple. And now they've elected a Marxist. What is up with the suburbs? This is where the irrationality is. All right, let's go to the Earl of Tacconi. I might have a bridge question for him. All right, Earl of the Earl of Tacony. Why is there such a backup from Jersey getting on to the Tacony Bridge? Because the Tacony Bridge is one of the few draw bridges that still exists. Oh, maybe it was that. Okay. Yes, because it has shorter clearance and its drawbridge where the Betsy Ross and the Ben Franklin and all the others are built high enough for boat traffic going up and down the river. So you probably caught a bridge crossing. Usually when there's no bridge crossing, it's usually fairly clear. All right. I didn't wait it out. But I got out. I didn't want to take it, really. It was forcing me. Siri and every other great. So, Coney Palperry Bridge, it's straight ahead. This is still your best choice. And I'm going, no, it's not. Give me the Ben Franklin. But, um. No, so anyway, he said you wanted a famous person from New Jersey, and I was going to bring up a famous person, but he's not as famous as it used to be, and I had an interesting story with it, if you want to hear it after my answer. But my real answer is going to be saltwater taffy. I mean, Taffy's been around for centuries, but Saltwater Taffy was invented in Atlantic City in the 1880s. And despite the name, it does not contain seawater. But it does have salt and water as one of the ingredients that's not found in typical taffy. All right. And who's your person or that's your answer? But who's the person?
My person is Lee Van Cleef. The Van Cleefs have been in Jersey since colonial times. They were some of the first Dutch settlers. They settled in Morris County, and they're about five or six branches of the family, and there's one branch of the family that they don't talk about. They got incredibly inbred over the years, and eventually they became about four foot tall. Their bodies are covered completely with white hair, they're heterochromatic, where they have one blue eye, one green eye, and they're subterranean mole people. and they steal from their neighbors. There used to be an old saying in Morris County, New Jersey, that if you had something that's missing, the van Cleefs probably have it. Thank you. We're all on the spotting come up with that. By the way, one that was, I would have said, possible winter this time of the year, that first smell as we traveled to New Jersey, the ocean breeze, the marshes, whatever, that smell is better than new car smell. I don't know. I think at first it kind of smells like number two. And then it's like, oh, yeah, that's the beach. I think it's, what do you like, Kramer? That's an objectionable smell. I think it's a. It gets good. It's like an acquired smell almost. Like it's just, yeah, at first you're like, ugh, who cut the cheese? And it's like, oh, no, we're just getting close. All right. Let me go to Bo and Levitt down here. He called into independent Brian Fitzpatrick, who thinks Josh Shapiro would be a good president. All right, Bo, what was the result? Well, I called in and I said, this is how I phrased it, Dom. I said, I heard that Fitz wants to be an independent. Is that true? Well, the young lady put me on hold for a couple of minutes and pretty much came back and said, I can't really confirm that. I said, well, I just heard it on Dom Giordano's radio show. And by the way, how come Fitz doesn't call up Dom show anymore? Is he a coward? And I said, you know, I have a lot of influence over certain things. You know, Bo is my nickname. Sure. I'm real involved with the same alma mater, Fitz and I went to, the same Catholic high school. And I see him at events, and he's nice enough, but he's certainly not his brother, Dom. Well, what did the woman there say, Bo? Well, she's going to relay the information to him, and I gave them my full name, my full name and, you know, my zip code. But can you imagine any other politicians? Stacey Garrity is in a tough race here. He tells this group Josh Shapiro will win re-election and should run for president. It just blows my mind. My friends, when I see him at events, literally have to hold me back. Yeah, and yuck, Beau, you know, this is what we're reduced to in the Philadelphia suburbs. And I said, you know what, it's a shame because I'll probably still vote for him, you know, just to like you said.
You know, I believe it or not, I do follow your advice, but it's, man, it's like eating Lindberger cheese after it sat for three months out. It is, if it comes down to this and everything is precious. This is what we're held hostage. Well, Bo, thank you. Thanks for calling him. Do you have a side today? I, you know, I don't. I'm so buried at work, still believe it or not. But I do listen to you all the time. Thank you, Bo. Thank you very much. Yeah, if I were out there in Bucks County, I can't vote for Bob Harv Harv to Grass Harvey, and I can't not vote. Am I going to write in what? Henry's object. This is going to backfire on you, Henry. This is going to be like Happy New Year. People are very much loving that smell, even if it's not realistic. I'll say it that way. And I hope we'll be headed to Farley's. By the way, Farley was a major political player with FDR. I'm reading the FDR book. So the namesake of the Farley stop there was big time. I didn't know that until recently. Okay, we'll take some more calls, 855, 839, 12, 10. And we'll see if Brian Fitzpatrick's office ever wants to respond. Why is it? He can say Josh Shapiro will win and should run for president. One of the most ruthless of all. In the history that I've seen in this area, this guy. Remember, he's asking about the artworks he'll have in the VP's office with Kamala Harris people. They're going, can you imagine this guy every day? What it would be like for Kamala Harris? You have to feel bad for Kamala Harris. That's how bad it is. 855. Well, she picked Walls, Don. Wow. Is Josh Shapiro so difficult to get along with? They picked Tim Walz, even though he, I think. would have won Pennsylvania for them. It would have been really close, but he could have won Pennsylvania for them. They said, no, we'd rather have Jazz Hands and Tim Walz. He was a football coach. 855-8-3-6-5. Yes, 8-35-839-1210. Tom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT. All right, Tom Gierdano's show. One bit of preview before we take a couple more answers here, all-time thing associated with New Jersey. President Trump, the ladies in a view of the meltdown, imagine Trump's going to go to the correspondence dinner. He's working up a line of jokes. Lift the glass, say let's all salute the First Amendment. and then not have to be there and be savage. And Henry, a little preview. I know it's guys impossible to get on, but maybe afterward next week. I'm fascinated by this mentalist guy. What is he exactly going to do at the correspondence dinner? Do you have any sense? I mean, more or less he's going to... read people's minds. Okay. He's going to ask you to think of something, someone through some sort of elaborate way of explaining he will have guessed who you were thinking of in front of the whole crowd. And how will we verify that? How will we know it? They'll write it down? They'll write it down. Yeah. So he'll be like, he'll be like, all right, write something down for me. You know, write a name down. Right. Write the name of your first grade crush. And I'll write it down. Right.
And then he'll turn to the crown and be like, I have no way of knowing this. He always says that. Like, I have no way of knowing what you just wrote down. All right. So then, like, you know, he might be on like a playing card or something. He's like, I want to crumble that throwing card up. I want you to throw it in the trash. I want you to light it on fire. You know, and then just some sort of, you know, way he's like, all right, was your card, you know, the four of hearts? And was your first grade crush Jolene? And it's like, yeah. And then everyone goes crazy. All right, he doesn't do anything political. He won't be drawn to that by the same. No, I don't, no, I don't think he'll be doing anything political, just straight like magic. Yeah, and I think that's one of the reasons Trump agreed to do this, that this guy will be up there because the rest of the nerd prom. Now, I broadcast from there. It was a dump, this hotel. I don't know if you can tell that on TV or not. We broadcast from there with one of the CPAC things, but it's going to be interesting to see the buy play. And Trump is funny. Now, I don't know if he'll get wound up and the humor will go away and it'll just be calling out different people that are there. But, you know, when Obama went after him, when it looked like he was going to run, that was pretty brutal. And I'm not a fan of the roast. It never is just playful. It always ends up with people going too far. So what was done to Bill and Hillary Clinton by Imus? Clinton should have stood up and said, that's it, buddy. You know, oh, you can't take, no, no, not from that guy. Hold of Will Smith. But I hate to endorse it, but I'm telling you, with your wife right there, even though they're president and I have to go back and read it aloud, it was brutal. It's too much. It's like, why do we, why do we think that's fun? Fun is playful roasting, pointing out something. Maybe it hits home a little bit. But if you don't understand that and you just savage the person, that's not what the race is supposed to be. That has to be funny. There has to be a line. Yeah, yeah. And this was way over. I would have gone when I miss off from a drug addict alcoholic. That's pretty funny. That's where I would have gone right away. Yeah. Yeah. Like it has to be funny. Like I don't care how hard it hits home as long as it's funny. Ah, okay. If it gets a laugh because if you just get like, ah, you know, from the crowd, like. Well, anything they say to Trump will be applauded. So there won't be any of them. I don't think, yeah. Let's go to, let's see, Drew an Upper Darby we haven't heard from in a few days. Hey, Drew, afternoon. Hey, Dom, thanks a lot for having me. I appreciate it. Hey, hey, Dom, the other day, the guy who called in with the Hubert Humphrey comment. Hubert Humphrey Democrat. Yesterday at the judge hand to win, people were like, wait a minute, and all the years of talk radio, have we heard a Hubert Humphrey Democrat? God. And the thing is, Dom, I'm surprised. If anyone pointed out, I missed it, I apologize. But. Everyone, like, we all remember what state Hubert Humphrey represented. That says it all. The only state that didn't vote for Reagan in the 84 election. That says it all, right? Oh, yeah, but it was, I don't remember Hubert Humphrey wanting boys and girls' sports. But, Drew, what's your side today? I know. I agree. Hey, Dom, whenever I think we're not all the time, but in sports, we could ever forget.
The miracle in the Meadowlands, the very first one, I believe, was in November of 78. Herm Edwards shocked the world, right? And then there was another one. There was at least four of them, I think. Ten years later, when Clyde Simmons, he blocked a field goal that was returned. Then Brian Westbrook returned to punt, and all Meadowlands were stunned. And then it happened again with... The Sean Jackson returned to punt. Show the miracle in the Netherlands. It's a beautiful thing. A lot of bodies are buried there. Absolutely. That's a good one. Larry and Hat Pearl on Brian Fitzpatrick. Hey, Larry, afternoon. Hey, how you doing? I don't you think that Brian Fitzpatrick is his motive is just to retire with a position in the Josh Shapiro White House someday because... He's just a, you know, he's a schmuck himself that, you know, he's not a good Republican, but he should be an independent because he's, you know, just like Josh Shapiro. Oh, you know, school choice. And, you know, he's just, he's a flip-flopper just to get. Well, yeah, I hear you, Larry. I mean, what's unforgivable in the world of politics? Even it would be unforgivable to me if I thought Stacey Garrity just had no chance. When you're an elected official in a situation, against a guy like Josh Shapiro who's relentless, you can't say something like that. You know, even if you thought it, you don't want to say it because you know he's just an opportunist schmuck. I hear you. Thank you. Chef Dave in Oakland, talk radio 1210. Hey, chef. Okay, Dom. guy that called up with the miracle at the metal lands. It's not the miracle at the medical. It's the fumble. Tell them to get it right. Number one. All right. All right. So mine is two Bob Dylan songs. One he wrote was the hurricane that basically told us how corrupt that prosecution was. They didn't even take fingerprints at the murder scene. Come on. And the second one is another song that he wrote with the Traveling Wilburys is, Tweeter and the Monkey Man were hard up for cash. Stayed up all night selling cocaine in hand. Don't like that. Thank you. You're a good chef, though. Thank you, Dave. All right. Coming up, it is the lightning round here. You get in at 855, 8, 3, 9, 12, 10. I don't know if we've gotten the quintessential one yet. I see some contenders here. Something that said, oh, Bill of Bucks, too. I got it. He's going to tell me, calm down with Brian Fitzpatrick. I don't remember a politician in something like this saying, A, the other guy's going to be reelected as governor, and B, he ought to run for president. He's the last threat. That's the last thing that we want is Josh Shapiro to come out of this enhanced. And I told you this this week, if they win the Senate and they win the House and they get a good shot at the House, maybe, they are going to join that compact that says, uh-uh, Pennsylvania is not going to go by anything but the popular vote nationwide in 2028, helping to elect a Democrat almost surely.
That's what you're going to get. Republicans ought to be talking about that more. 855-839, 1210. Did you feel Tom Chierdano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHT? The time has come for the final test. We usually call us the lightning round. All right, coming off the great time last night at the jug handle, and we had to devote the side to it today. Persons play something real or fictional that say Jersey. People are supportive to me on the smell. I told you, Henry, it's going to be baggage here. It's a good smell. It just starts out as a bad smell. Okay. They said Pleasantville for some reason. I think about it more coming into a while, but I'm trying to think where you first get that smell. I can feel it now. Pleasantville, yeah, around that area. I'd say that too. All right. Gary in Newtown, talk radio 1210. Hi, Gary. Nice timing. Hey, Henry. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. Yes. Thank you, Henry. Thank you. So, California has the Golden Gate Bridge. New York has the Brooklyn Bridge, but Jersey has the Trenton Makes World Takes Bridge, which I think is the only bridge that has an illuminated sign that says something about their city. Number one, number two, right after makes, there's an asterisk, and underneath of it says, real small letters, pork roll. That's beautiful call. Really good. That is a really positive Jersey thing. Definitely. Lance in South Philly, Lance, what's yours? Well, Dom, I went past the gas station. I literally just drove past the gas station on Red House on the Lincoln. It's 459 and for 94, it's 579. Oh, God. Holy crap. They raised it. They raised it. Now, this is the Sonoco? This is the Sonoco. I literally just came down, Renthouse Street, down the hill made a right onto Lincoln Drive. And what is it again, Lance? 4.59. I wrote it down, 459. And for 94-579. I mean, they kept it up forever, even when everybody else dipped some of them under four. You know, I was thinking of buying some crackers. I was running out of food yesterday, but there. And I said, I'll die. I'm on a hunger strike. I'm not going in there to buy crackers. Oh, my God. Then you could have got the bold age. Oh, man. We got to talk to these guys. Man, oh, man, oh, man. What's yours today, Lance? Mine is Walway State Prison when the Scared State Program came out in the 1970s. But moreover, I never knew that Peter Falk did the narration from Colombo. Oh, I didn't know that. I didn't know that. Thank you, Lance. Yep, when those kids were brought in and these prisoners were, oh, man, I think the one guy had an eye out, too, that I remember.
Oh, man. And you want to go, you still want to, you know, and I think one kid smirked. Oh, man. Kiss your butt. They weren't allowed to kill him, but just the intimidation. You know, and he probably thought, I can't do anything to them. Then they're starting to think, hey, I think one said, I'm in here for life. What does it matter? Yeah. Oh, man. Imagine a punk kid, one of these kids volunteer. I'll be on TV. What are they going to do to me? Make you cry. Yeah, exactly. Bill in Bucks County. All right, Bill, your guy is having a great day, isn't he? Yeah, well, maybe they took him out of context. You think? All right. You can come on and tell me, but Bill, come on, Cardinal rule. You don't say, oh, Josh Shapiro's going to win. Come on. Yeah, but what was the context of that? You know, I don't know. I mean, I didn't hear it. You know, I mean, well, if he said that, he's violating the 80-20 rule of Ronald Reagan, I can tell you that. Oh, right. And also then saying, well, he's not an independent because we have a close primary. Keep that to yourself. Come on, we're trying to buy in your Republican. Keep it to yourself. It's like Santa Claus. Don't say anything. He's the highest elected Republican in the county. Yes, of course. That's what he is, him and Frank Ferry. That's it, those two. Well, and on top of that, he's the only hope for his seat in the suburbs, how difficult it is most years. So, yeah. And Speaker Johnson was down here, you know, a couple of weeks ago, campaigning for Fitzpatrick along with McKenzie and Perry and Bradford. Yeah. You know? All four of them. He makes it rough. What's your side? Oh, well, I really had a side, but I'm going to change it. Is that okay? Can I do that? Yeah, but you had a funny side in the beginning. Give us the one you were going to say. I know I was going to say, but you didn't want a person. You wanted to think. Well, tell us, yeah. I was going to say Dr. Oz. Yes, when he was running for Pennsylvania. We're friends. And I'll tell you why, because I went across the bridge in the Betsy Ross Bridge from New Jersey one time and said, welcome to Pennsylvania, Dr. Oz. Enjoy your visit. That was a heck of a race with the McCormick. All right, Bill, what's your real side? I was going to say, Lucy the elephant. Ah, very good one. Yeah, very Jersey. Thank you very much. David in Lexington, South Carolina. Hi, David. What do you have? Hey, don't. Hey, Don, good afternoon. And my daughter, Emily, what'd like to wish you, eh? Happy good. Well, that's a price. Thank you, Emily. You're the first sidekick on the Happy New Year thing. Spread the road across South Carolina. It's happy New Year every day. Yeah. So for my, Dom, you unlock a core memory when you talked about the smell. My dad grew up in Milford, New Jersey, across the river, and we would visit every summer, visit my grandparents, and I swear, if you drop me in Jersey, I can smell the soils. I know the Jersey's still a smell. He's not wrong. Thank you. Thank you, David. And thanks to Emily. Very nicely played. Let's go, John and Kensington, talk radio 12. All right, John, what's yours? Hey, Dom. How about the diving horse at Steel Pier back in the day? Yes. And do you remember what else they have that I tell you many times I went down and my father said, oh, it's safe. What was that? Do you remember?
I just remember Ed Hirsch shows from the Diving Bell. You get into a diving bell and you go underwater. Oh, man, what could go wrong? Yes. Imagine today trying to get a horse diving off a diving bell? I don't think the regular, even in Wildwood, they're not going to allow you to do that. I wonder if they still have bungee jumping in any of these, but it had it in Wildwood for a while. I'm not sure if that's allowed anymore. Now, it might be a little unsafe. The worst sin of the shore, though, and next time we get Mayor Ernie on, come on, Ernie. You can't have people shooting at rims that are grease. It's the wind. The rim looks like a double to me, the netting, everything in the world. I don't care how good you are. You're not going to make more than one on all those things. And I don't think it's 15 feet, and you have to butt against the wood frame there and all shooting. Come on. It's impossible. Have you ever seen anybody hit all those, Emery? No. No. It's not. They're worried about the mechanical stuff and how that's illegal. Every year they come down and inspect the foul shooting. Stephen Borden Towns got one that gets people crazy in Jersey. Steve, what's yours? Yeah, well, it was invented in 1856 by John Taylor. It wasn't it. Pork roll and tailor roll. Got you. Kirk, what do you like today? Gone with Joe from Columbus with a state salute, the middle finger. That was a very good one, Henry. Yeah, I second Joe's. I also like the saltwater taffy and Gary Newtown. Trent makes the world takes bridge. I'll go with Joe today. All right, let's have the rundown of the week. Yeah, real quick. Monday, we asked for something associated with weed. Mike in Philadelphia, one with some of the old boardwalk shirts they used to have. Right. Tuesday, we asked for an all-time rivalry. Michael Wilmington won with the alarm versus snooze button. Wednesday, we asked for all time endings. Jeff Dave, one with Babe Ruth. Yesterday, we asked for those all-time villains. Michael Wilmington won again with the Sunday drivers. And you heard it here. Joe of Columbus, this week's winner. If we get all those, put him in the hat here, get a little trumbled.
All right. Yeah, that's the number one. That is Mike, Mike, you get a copy of Scott Jennings book, A Revolution of Common Sense on Donald Trump, Storm Washington, and fought for Western Civilization afternoon show next. Have a great weekend. Talk Radio 1210, WPHD.
