Lopez and his co-defendants charged with racketeering accused of operating an illegal gambling enterprise. One. Our top story is protests are ongoing in the city. Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker is criticizing the federal intervention there in Chicago. Speaking at the North Star Summit in Minneapolis on Tuesday, J.B. Pritzker saying that the Trump administration deployed ICE Border Patrol and the National Guard without speaking to him at all. It's deeply concerning. We don't know exactly where this is going to end. What we know is that it is... striking fear in the hearts of everybody in Chicago. This as members of the Texas National Guard have arrived in the region, Prithker continued. So they sent all these folks to the ICE and CBP and now National Guard without talking to me at all. They have not picked up the phone and called me not once. Coming up, President Trump suggesting that some furloughed government workers won't receive back pay. Governor Ron DeSantis is using a visit to the Panhandle to announce a new round of $5,000 recruitment bonuses for law enforcement. The latest payments went to recruit serving Bay, Franklin, Gulf, and Walton counties with another 734 bonus checks distributed statewide. Since launching in 2022, the program has awarded more than 9,400 bonuses, the new officers, including nearly 2,000 who relocated from out of state. The initiative has now distributed over $63 million to support law enforcement here in Florida. WDBO AM 580. A child playing on a tree in Orange County is now at the center of a dispute between a woman and her HOA. Ariel Barner recently got a letter from the University Pines Property Owners Association in River Chase. And according to the letter, her five-year-old son on a tree throwing rocks at the school bus stop. The HOA wants Barner to pay over $300 to cover the cost of the lawyer drafting that letter that she received. Barner is also considering a lawsuit, and she started a GoFundMe account to raise money for her legal fees. Over 2,000 people have now donated over $60,000. Barner saying that she's just a single mother, fighting for fairness and her child's dignity. County Fire Rescue, the man who died on the Stardust Racers roller coaster at Epic Universe was bleeding severely from his head after the ride. The family of 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala is requesting the surveillance video of the ride that is referenced in those calls. Fire Rescue says that when Cruz got to the ride, two paramedics were holding Kevin, but he already did not have a pulse. Attorneys for the family say they have received reports from other people who have hit their head or been injured on that ride. I'm Kirsten Delgado for WDBO 107.3 FM and AM 580. President Trump is suggesting that some furloughed government workers could receive back pay while others won't. Trump's comments follow a memo from the Office of Management and Budget, which raised the possibility that federal workers may not be entitled to back pay from their time off during the government shutdown. The president says, quote, it really depends on who you're talking about, when asked about compensation for furloughed workers, and he blamed Democrats for putting their jobs in jeopardy. Despite uncertainty regarding back pay eligibility, President Trump added that, quote, for the most part, we're going to take care of our people. I'm Tammy Trujillo. Dozens of paintings by the legendary art instructor Bob Ross are being auctioned to raise money for public television. The artist who became famous in the 1980s for his calm teaching approach passed away back in 1995, but his show The Joy of Painting continues to be popular on multiple streaming services. On Tuesday, the president of Bob Ross Incorporated said 30 of his paintings will be auctioned off next month to offset the cost of programming for public stations that have had their federal funding cut. Those paintings are expected to fetch up to $50,000. New research showing that a nasal spray may be just as effective as an EpiPen.

Researchers reported at the European Emergency Medicine Congress in Vienna that medicine taken as a liquid or dry powder spray can help a person as fast as the epipen and get to the bloodstream faster in some cases. The study involved data analysis from five previous internal studies comparing different methods. Researcher, Dr. Danielle Furness, says patients would still need clear instructions on how and when to use a nasal spray, but it could improve timely administration. Laurel Lee, WDBO AM 580. And a new league owner is largely responsible for spring football returning to Orlando. Mike Rapola, a billionaire entrepreneur behind brands like body armor and vitamin water, saying during his press conference yesterday, introducing the Orlando storm. But what do you make of this story about Zach Brian here, Jimmy? Yeah, first and foremost, someone should have told him America is the country in country music. I think he got confused by which country they were talking about. But the problem with like catering to that crowd, to the left side of like every culture war issue, is that isn't, as you said, country music. Nobody wants to hear Tammy Wynette saying, stand by your them. Okay? It's stand by your man. There's a very specific belief system that makes country music what it is. And his idea that somehow ICE represents the fading of the red, white, and blue. Again, this is not America being anti-immigration. Immigration, statute of liberty, give me your child, your poor, your huddled man, is yearning to be free. There's not a second verse that says, and also give me the people who don't download an app on their phone, get a free flight to America from Biden, the taxpayer pays for their hotel, their health care, and their cell phone. And if you don't like it, you're a Nazi. Okay, I've never read that verse of the poem, and that's the problem. They're conflating illegal immigration with regular immigration, and he's a dope because he thinks he somehow found a moral high ground. And again, I'm not surprised to hear him trash in police because the guy's been arrested. Right, right. Yeah, stand by your them. I absolutely love that. But Zach Bryan just taught the world, I think, Jimmy, how to commit career suicide. I don't think his career will ever be the same ever again after this. No, I mean, the thing is, the vast majority of his fans, like this is like, I guess, a musical Dylan Mulvaney moment, if you will. And maybe that's what he's, maybe he's going to call himself Zach Mulvaney. I don't know the answer to that, but you're right. And if you listen closely to the song in the background, you can actually hear his tour manager shooting themselves. There's no doubt. It's... subtle but if you listen you're like oh man i think i heard that when i played it last hour all right so the texas national guard has arrived there in illinois J.B. Well, it really speaks to how broken the compasses in the Democrat Party. I mean, think of it this way. Five years ago, if there would have been like leaked audio of a politician saying, I don't want the president lowering crime in my community, that might have forced a resignation. You know what I'm saying? Now it's not leaked audio. This has somehow become talking points. And it is bananas. You know, I love that he's trying to do what Muriel Bowser initially did, which is nobody wants them here. They're mad. But every time you turn on the TV, there's a different Chicago resident being like, oh, thank God, which is what they were doing in D.C. It was like, no, everybody hates it. They're mad at ice. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Muriel Bowser just extended their presence in D.C. by another 30 days. Why? Because people who say this, okay, and it's specifically like, I'm using the word air, I'm using air quotes for the word elite, but elite white Democrats who have decided that minority communities are not entitled to safe neighborhoods because of the term, they keep saying, well, it's a police state. What are we going to live in a police state? I'm like, listen, if that, if that's your argument is that you don't like the aesthetic of troops. So the people who you say will be stuck in a police state instead have to be stuck in a gang state. Okay? I think if you had a choice, you'd rather be in the police state, not that it is one. Yeah, yeah, that's really well put. We had an open mic or earlier to say, why in the world would you decline? more of a police presence in your city when crime is out of control. A, you don't want to give Donald Trump a win if you're any Democrat out there. And B, you don't want to admit that your policies are failed. So I think those are the two reasons why. But don't you love how the legacy media keeps telling us that there are, you know, their so-called protests going on, especially out in Portland. Where in Tifa, I mean, this is not protesting. This is thuggery at the very least. ICE has been... under siege out there Jimmy and yet there are folks pretending kind of like Minneapolis when it was on fire they're kind of you know they're pretending that everything is okay out there yeah well Portland's a whole different strand of weed and fentanyl so you've got to forgive those people they actually think the ice was brought on by climate change they don't even know what they're fighting against they have no idea It's just blue-haired losers living in tents in Winnebago's with no license plates on them. And they don't even know it. I mean, it's just a lifestyle of zombie people. Yeah, it is. All right, we start the second week of the government shut down the president suggesting that some federal workers are not going to get back pay. We're seeing some air traffic controllers now calling out sick. There was nobody in the air traffic control in Burbank, California earlier this week. Jimmy, what do you make of this? This is happening a lot quicker, at least for the air traffic controllers happening a lot quicker than the last major shutdown, that's for sure.

Yeah, I'll say. And it happened in Nashville, too. They said the control tower blacked out last night. But I was like, well, it's in Nashville. We're used to watching people blackouts. It's not so bad in Nashville. But the rest of the country I am worried about. And again, back to the whole hypocrisy. We're shutting down the government. Okay, because as far as the Democrats are concerned, health care is too expensive. Okay. They never mentioned who passed the health care bill, the Affordable Care Act, that made health care too expensive. But that's why we can't have nice things. It's all a charade. Yeah. It's all a charade. We're playing a clip of Fox across America tonight. If you didn't see it, it's an NBC flashback from a year ago where NBC goes, you know how they said Democrats aren't giving health care to illegal immigrants. A year ago, NBC did a report that 25% of all patients in New York City hospitals were illegal immigrants. 25% is a pretty high number for zero. Wow. You know what I'm saying? The Democrats claim the number is zero. I mean, I'm used to grading things on a slide and scale, but 25% sounds like a lot more than zero. Yeah, zero to 25 in about oh, 100 miles per hour there. I wanted to ask you about James Comey. to be arraigned today. He'll appear before a federal judge in Virginia. He could face up to five years in the big house here. Jimmy, what do you make of James Comey being arraigned today? Well, I did hear his lawyers arguing for time served because James Comey went on the view. So he could get like a suspended sentence. MSNBC, CNN, right? Yeah, some type of hazard credit towards the sentence. I don't know. Listen, whether they convict him or not. I just, you know, who knows what the case goes? I just like that they're sticking the cat's nose in it. Yeah. Because these people have held the country hostage for so long. And it's not going to change if they don't feel some type of pushback. And we never see pushback. So, you know, the fact that we're getting that, and at least that is a start. And I hope it does at least freak out a few of the other dirtbags, the Brennan's and the clapper's out there. Or heaven forbid, Adam Schiff, that loser. So I think today's a win, no matter which way this goes. Yeah. And speaking of a win, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez-C-C-cortez, your buddy up there in New York, getting into it on social media with White House aide Stephen Miller, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slamming Miller as 4'10 and angry.
