The partial government shutdown affecting TSA. And some very interesting comments from the senator today as to why Democrats do not want voter identification. Here's that conversation with Senator Rick Scott here on the Inez Says podcast. Senator, first off, your take. What are you hearing, Senator, about these talks with Iran right now? Well, I mean, I think hope springs eternal. I mean, this president doesn't want a forever war. He wants to have Iran as a country that wants to, you know, work with us. So it's up to the leadership of Iran. I mean, do they want to continue the process of, you know, just killing Americans, killing Americans, killing Americans, which is what they've been doing for 47 years? Or do they want to go rebuild their economy, treat their own citizens and Americans with respect and Israelis? We'll see what happens out of this. I know the president doesn't want boots on the ground like this to end. We'd love to get oil prices down. But guess what? It takes two to tango. You can't make somebody negotiate with you and do the right thing. You can just hope. Yeah, well, legit question, I guess, is who's left to negotiate with Senator? I mean, no one's seen or heard from this new Supreme Leader. We've seen a cardboard cutout, and that's about it. In statements, at least 50 plus top officials are gone there in Iran. I mean, Senator, who the heck is left over there? I hope nobody. I hope nobody in leadership is left. I mean, I want to thank the Israelis for what they're doing because everybody that was a leader, they wanted to kill Americans and kill our troops. And so the more Iranians kill the leadership, I think the better off we are. But I don't know, you know, I don't know who is to negotiate with. But I mean, I think this Israel's suspect killing of every new leader, I think it's the only way we're going to get to a country that. you know wants to work with america and wants to be a you know it doesn't want to create all this chaos and death in the middle in the middle east i mean this is what they've been doing for 47 years didn't make any sense from this appeasement that obama and biden tried just obama sent them unbelievable money i mean what what are people thinking they want to kill us Like, you want to kill me? I want to kill you first. I mean, give me a break. Well, Iran's military forces, they're decimated. The concern, as always, is there nuclear capabilities in the future? Are you confident right now, as it stands right now on this Tuesday morning, Senator, that all of our military objectives have been met and Iran will not get a nuclear weapon in the future? What are your thoughts about that?

Well, I don't think there's any evidence that we've gotten there, the uranium out of that country. So they have enriched uranium, you know, for the nuclear weapons. So I think until we know that, and even when we know that, if it goes back to the same old regime, they're just going to start again. So it's either they get a new regime or we'll be doing this every so often. And thank God we have a president that now cares about American death and tries to prevent it and so this appeasement. But I don't think there's any evidence that. our entire objective is accomplished yet. I hope we're able to do that promptly, but the best thing that can happen here is new leadership that doesn't want to create a nuclear weapon to destroy Americans and their troops. So until that happens, I think, you know, we've got to decimate them. They want to kill us. I, you know, I had this protester in the Capitol, and I said, how dumb are you? I mean, somebody wants to kill you and you're, you think, oh, yeah, let's just, let's just have lunch. No, give me a break. If you want to kill me. I want you dead. It's as simple as simple as that. It doesn't sound nice. No, but it's not nice when they were trying. They keep trying to kill it. And they are. They've been killing Americans for 47 years. Finally, somebody stood up that time. Let's talk about ICE agents. I know they were deployed to a number of airports around the nation on Monday amid the DHS non-funding, if you will. What are your thoughts about Democrats blaming Republicans for the partial shutdown that has caused these TSA agents to be working? marking minus the pay here, Senator. Well, I mean, they're the ones who voted to shut down the government. The Democrats did. You know, they did this intentionally with the eye. Here's what they said. They don't want ICE to be able to deport illegal people in crimes our country. They don't care what happened at Lake and Riley. Don't care what happened at college shooting up in Chicago. We don't care what happened in Jocelyn Nungari or Rachel Moran. They don't care. I mean, they, they, they, it seems like they're the party of illegal aliens now. And so, and this idea, oh, yeah, we'll find out. And we'll fund TSA now. Here's what they're saying. We don't want ICE to be able to do their job. And by the way, we wouldn't use this. They've said this publicly. We're only use this to give amnesty to people here legally. Okay. Now, why don't we, you know, you know, they don't want to have a conversation about fixing the immigration system because I've said since I got up here. I've had proposals to fix immigration system that we vet people before they come. We know who's coming. It's people that want to help us build our country, not go on the government dole, not, you know, not want to bring socialism in this country. But no, they don't want to do that. They don't care about it. It's like the Democrats don't care. Like they're the party of illegal aliens and we're the party of hardworking Americans. Well, Democrat Senator John Fetterman would agree with you. He's the one and only. He criticized his own party saying that Democrat leadership puts political games ahead of federal workers' livelihoods. We've seen more than 400 of these TS agents finally quit. They're fed up. Nearly 3,500 TS agents called in sick on Sunday. Seeing reports now, Senator, that the framework, the framework to fund DHS could come this week. I'll believe that when I see it, but what about you? What I've heard is, here's what they want to do. They want to fund parts of DHS, but not fund the part that deports illegal aliens committing crimes in our country. Come on.
