I'm Ed Donahue with an AP News Minute. President Trump says he wants his new acting director of national intelligence to cut the office, which has already been significantly scaled back. The president noted on Air Force One, the size of the office has been way too high for way too long. And if Bill Pulte cuts it, he wouldn't mind. In the Senate earlier this week, Virginia Democrat Mark Warner said, Mr. Bill Pulte has had a record of not respecting confidential information. He has weaponized mortgage information.

I think everyone would at least acknowledge the factual basis of that. And the idea that he's going to suddenly be given the keys to the most classified secrets that keep our country safe. I just would have wished that someone in the White House would have gone to the emperor and said, on this one, you got no clothes. On Air Force One, the president said Bill Pulte will do a good job.
