Hour 4 of NMN, NATO Conference + The Hand-Off

85 segmentsJoan, President Trump is speaking on the Iranian ceasefire at the NATO summit. I can't take the whole thing, but let's pot up a little bit of Donald Trump. He's got Volodymyr Zelensky sitting next to him, by the way. Then on top of that, they gave them billions and billions of dollars. And by the way, they gave it to the room. the wrong country, frankly, you want to know the truth. And it began, that was pretty much, the Obama nuclear, the Obama deal, the, that was one of the worst tragedies that happened. That's what happened in the Middle East. That deal set back that whole situation. They went with, frankly, they picked the wrong country. They picked the wrong country. JCPOC. What a terrible, what a terrible deal. I call it the Obama nuclear waste deal because what he did with that deal is he caused tremendous hardship in the Middle East. It was a terrible, terrible. All right. So I think what we're going to do, Joan, if you want to monitor the president and see if he says anything relevant to. This morning's situation where the president has come out and said, you know, basically the ceasefire is over. Yeah, he will also just, he did mention the meeting that he held on the sidelines with Volodymyr Zelensky privately. And then they came out and spoke. And I'll just give you a quick clip of what he said here. And we'll see what we can do. But we've actually developed a good relationship. It's hard to believe. From the Oval Office to now, we've developed, I think we've developed a very good relationship. And this is not the end. No, this is going to be the beginning, maybe. So, yeah, there he goes. You know what? It's kumbaya. Does that mean that we're going to start giving Ukraine money again? Yeah, I think it probably does. Oh, no. You've got their hand out. They're asking for more. That's what they do. That's all he does. That's all they do. Yeah. Yeah. Asking for money all the time. It never ends. Yeah. I mean, we started, you know, selling. F-35s. Selling them, yeah, military equipment, which I'm fine with, obviously. But giving them money, I hope President Trump hasn't fallen for that. We'll have to see ultimately what they do. But, all right. So. Basically, if you're just joining us, big news day today because Iran, and we've been talking about this off and on all morning long, Iran in its infinite wisdom, decided to bomb three. I don't know if they used. Do we know if they used drones, Joan, or what did they use? But they went after three ships in the straight of Hormuz. And so then we said, all right, you know what?
It's on, and we retaliated, and we have been bombing the living, you know what, out of Iran. And President Trump basically said, you know what, we're done. And the ceasefire is over. And so now I... He also said that tonight, there'll be a new round of bombings. Okay. And then when we talked about this earlier, people said, you know what, he'll be praising Iran tomorrow. So you never really know what you're going to get with President Trump. But, you know, one of our Daily Dan polls that we did earlier, do you believe, because I had a whole monologue, I think it was in the five, where I just don't believe that Iran wants peace. It's not in their DNA. They don't know. Iran doesn't know how to live peacefully. I think that's part of it. Yeah. It's like their culture is just so mired in violence and death to America that they won't get out of their own way because they could make, as everybody knows, billions of dollars if they would simply behave. But they don't know how. We also ended up taking away some of those waivers where they were allowed to sell oil on the open market. Scott Bessent said, you know what? We're not going to do that anymore. So now those waivers have been pulled and those sanctions and all of those other restrictions against Iran, those are now being put back on. So we'll see if Iran – and by the way, I love how the Iranians are blaming us for breaking the memorandum of understanding when the reality is that they are the ones that started this latest round by – I'm assuming it was drones or whatever, but going after those three ships in the Strait of Hormuz. And what was the liquefied natural? Jim Rome takes on sports. Part of what makes this show, the show within the show. The biggest topic on the show always seems to be the show itself. This is a way to give you clones a way to interact with one another. Yes, we will be going through the chat. Yes, it'll be a part of the program. The only thing that could ruin the show are the old school clones spitting up the same bull crap that they always have. The jungle is out taking names and ready to dominate. Let's get it. The Jim Rome Show podcast. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Gas tanker. Yeah. And President Trump's just not having it. And you know what? I like the fact that he's tired of this now. Yes. Like this is not going to end until we end Iran. He's had more patience than the whole nation put together.
Yeah, that's the thing. Yeah. You know, everybody said he's going to, he's going to, you know, blow Viet us into World War III when he first started running for president way back when in 2016. And it has been exactly the opposite. And I like that. Nobody can say that Donald Trump did not try to give diplomacy a chance. I don't know. Is he saying anything relevant, Sam? Because when I, when we, this is what, can I just be honest? What I don't like is when we take Trump live and he's saying the same thing that we've heard 50,000 times. So I always hesitate to go to him because, you know, and I'm not, I guess maybe it is a criticism. I don't know. But it's just we've all heard him criticize the Obama deal a lot. So if he says anything newsworthy, we'll certainly jump back in. He's taking questions from reporters right now. Oh, bring it up, bring it up quick. conditions for ending the board. Well, they were certain conditions that were a little bit different. I think they're changing. I think they're probably getting a little bit better toward some of the things that you'd like. It's been tougher in Russia. It's been a lot tougher than it was supposed to be. I mean, in all fairness, this was supposed to be a... This is a war that would have never happened if I were president. Would have never happened. You'd have a full country, you know. I mean, just a shame that it had happened. But, no, this is a... This is something that I think Volodymyr Zelensky wants to do and Vladimir Putin wants to do. They want to get it done. Ask the president that question. Ask them. You know, on what kind of, you know, on what kind of, you know, on what conditions Vladimir Putin are going to end in Ukraine? I don't know what conditions Vladimir Putin now want for this piece. So I think that they are changing. in any way because at the very beginning of full-scale war he was stronger and now I think he is losing initiative on the battle I think his army but that's why I think that because of technologies because it's not the question now of number of people people our heroic people are very important but now it's not the question of question of only number of people first of all people and All right. So apparently, one of the things, Joan, that we're going to do is we're going to teach Ukraine how to make Patriot missiles. That's something that the graphic on there said. You know, the thing is, is that... President Trump said that Russia wants to end the war and Ukraine wants to end the war. Well, the problem with that is that Ukraine, and I'm not blaming anybody here. I'm just saying that Ukraine is not willing to negotiate at all. I mean, they refuse to give up any speck of land out of Ukraine. And if you're going to make a deal, if you're going to negotiate. to end this war, you've got to give up something. And not only will Ukraine not give up any land, but they won't negotiate a settlement or a peace deal unless they get Crimea back. Now, I'm just here to tell you they're not getting Crimea back. You're just not. So it sounds like, you know, he and Trump are going to go, you know, running through the tulips together. But the reality is, is that...
Volodymyr Zelensky has not been, what I would say, a good negotiating partner either because he's not willing to negotiate. And by the way, neither is Vladimir Putin. So I... I don't know where the end is and where this is going to end. And the thing about Volodymyr Zelensky is, okay, so how much of that is just, you know, bluster? When Volodymyr Zelensky says that I'm not going to give up any land and I'm also not going to, I'm not going to agree to anything unless we get Crimea back, well. Vladimir Putin is not going to do that. And by the way, Vladimir Putin is out there saying that he wants all of this other land on the eastern part of Ukraine. And he also wants to say in how Ukraine is run. He wants Volodymyr Zelensky out of office. So there's a lot of things that Vladimir Putin wants that... they'll never agree to in Ukraine. So both sides, and again, I don't know how much of this is bluster where it's like, okay, we're going to say this, but we're willing to negotiate this, that, or the other, and it's all part of the negotiation. But they're just, they don't negotiate. And they just bomb the living crap out of each other. And, you know, the rest of us are supposed to foot the bill. So what? I'm just, I'm uninterested in this story. That's where I'm at. I'm uninterested in dealing with Ukraine or Volodymyr Zelensky because I'm tired of being, you know, shamed into trying to have my taxpayer dollars go to bail out Ukraine. Sue says, are we still getting the minerals from Ukraine? Did that ever start? Like, I know that, I mean, it was agreed upon, but I know that some of the, some of the land that. the minerals were in in Ukraine, Russia actually had that land. Russia was occupying that land. So I don't know. I don't know about any of that. I mean, we should be. We have not received any actual minerals yet. We have not received any actual minerals yet. But it's so it's in the geological and logistical preparation phase rather than the active extraction. Okay. So they're basically, they're scoping it out. They're figuring out where and when. The resources required just, you know, mine or whatever. Yeah. No, you're right. You're right. All right. Well, we'll ultimately see what... We'll ultimately see what happens. I don't know. For me, we gave so much money to Ukraine and for them to not even come to the table with any kind of willingness to negotiate or willingness to give anything up, knowing that that's going to elongate the war. I think to me, it's just it's another road to nowhere. I am surprised, though. I'm trying to see what Volodymyr Zelensky, Joan, you remember when...
When the vice president and the president and Volodymyr Zelensky got in a fight over what he was wearing at the White House. Yeah. So I'm trying to see if he's wearing a tie now. Now, realize they're not at the White House. They're at NATO. He's not. So they're at NATO. So, yeah, it doesn't look like. I don't know. What do you think about all this, Joan? Are you interested in this story? I'm just... I'm interested if something comes out of it. Yeah. You know? Trump will give Ukraine the rights to make Patriot missiles. So that gives Ukraine the opportunity to defend themselves better against Russia. Vladimir Putin is not going to like that. So there's a whole dynamic here. China is at play too. So anyway, we'll see if there is anything that comes from this meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, United States, and Ukraine. 833. On Super Talk, 997. Out with it, why are you laughing? No, you know what? Come on. No, no, because I walk in here. I walk in here. I'm minding my own business. And Dan goes, oh, I like the gangster necklace you're wearing. And I went, my cross. I like it, though. It looks really cool. But he wears it every day. You didn't notice it before now? No, I just, it's, can I not give a man a compliment without getting like the third degree from all your people? It felt like a backhanded compliment coming from the guy who's in thumbnails with grills. Blame Sam. He did it. And sipping out of a pineapple cup. So I literally showed my wife this morning, the thumbnail. Yeah. And then I showed her the ones from my show and Murphy's show. And I said, one of these things is not like the other. See, so I feel like we shouldn't do this right now because I'm supposed to read a commercial. But I feel like... What Sam likes to do is just make me look stupider than I already do. And that's what he's now relishing with creating these thumbnails. Everyone's saying it looks cool. Really? Me with the grill? Yes. They're saying that that looks cool. And a chain with a medallion. See, I see that's what I need to do. I need to answer your cross with some sort of a medallion. That's what you need. Get your flavor, flave piece. That is exactly what I need. I've never understood why people actually get grills on their teeth. We had Louie in here for... Yeah. Why didn't you ask him? I did ask him. And he said that he regretted it. Didn't he say he spent like thousands of dollars? Yes. And he said that he regretted it. No, I understand if you've got like bad teeth, you want to put something over him. Like I would kind of understand that. But if you've got perfectly good teeth, man, let him, let him be nice and bright. Yeah, let him shine. I know. But a grill doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Yet Sam chose to put it on my...
Thumbail. Okay, you want the full answer? The screenshot was awkward. When I had AI clean it up, it gave you, like, teeth from the mask, the Jim Carrey the mask, the really big friggin piano key looking teeth. Sure. So I'm like, okay, I guess we're doing Miami Vice thing, give him a grill, because that looks better than whatever creepy Colgate white teeth smile it gave you in the first place. All right, very good. I think we've had about enough of this, young man. What is this? Two live crew banned in the USA. Oh, okay. Well. Those are the ones that used to wear their clothes backwards? I think so. No. You're being silly. You're being silly. No. Two live crew. Even I know that. They used to call it black fashion. Is that what they called it, black fashion? Do you remember the kids? I thought it was two live crew. They would wear their clothes backwards. No, it was not too live crew. It was, look it up, Sam. Because Chris is being silly. You're being a silly-nilly. No, I'm not. You are. It's a factual thing that happened. No, there was another... Chris cross. Chris cross. Oh, speaking of which, here we are. See, you knew that, didn't you? It was criss-cross. I know that you did. Because you used to work in hip-hop. You used to be really cool. I used to be. I tell my kids that all the time. They're like, yeah, right, dad. I used to be cool. And then they go, what happened? Listen, I've been there doing that. We do it. We do it. They get older. You get to go, oh, you used to be so cute. What happened? These kids don't think it'd be like it is, but it do. They'd be like that sometimes. Do that one more time. I always hear you do that. You do. People don't think it be like it is, but it do. Yeah. So is that like the black language we were talking about earlier? Yes. Okay. People don't be like it is, but it do. No, people don't think it be like it is, but it do. Okay. You've got to do it sometimes. Did you practice that like a lot before you actually did it on the air? Yeah. I'm curious. Not a lot. Just a little. No? But, you know, people don't think it'd be like it is, but it do. Yeah, no, I... You have to be able to... It has to be able to roll off the tongue. It's become kind of a catchphrase. Can you imagine me trying to do that? I can't even get... Let me hear it. I can't even get Graham Platner right. Let me hear it. No, I'm not doing it. Do you? Okay, so it's not just me. No. All right. I heard somebody else calling Plantner, too, as well, like, and it wasn't you. And so, then I don't feel nearly as bad. It's all right. Yeah, so... I do not what I decided yesterday. uh i've renamed turkey as turquois turquois because this what we do in america I'm not going to call Turkey Turkey anymore. It's Turquois. Okay. We do it with Spain. It's actually Spania, but we don't care. We call it Spain. So I've decided that I'm going to start renaming countries, and then I'm just going to own it. Listen, we changed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. That's what we do. And didn't Obama suddenly call Pakistan Pakistan? Sometimes you just got to walk in.
and drop your freedom on the table. You know what I mean? Is that what you got to do? That's what you got to do. Okay, good. Very good. What was the other one that he changed? There was Pakistan. Am I saying right when Obama? Pakistan. Pakistan. Yeah, it's like, I remember when he did that. What the hell is he doing? Yep. Like it drove me absolutely nuts. There's another one. Is it Qatar? Cutter went from Qatar to Qatar. And still nobody cares. Oh, if you say it the wrong way. That's why I just started saying Cutter Cutter Catar. Like I just started doing that because I would say Cutter and then people would say it's Qatar. And then I'd say Qatar and then people would say it's Cutter. I eventually didn't care and I stopped doing the story. That's my solution to everything. Just stop talking about it. They're the ones that gave us the New Air Force One, right? Yeah. Emma or Oman? Was it? Was it Cutter Qatar? I like to say, oh man. Drop that freedom on the table, Chris. Sometimes you got to swing that freedom around. It is Qatar. It is the... The airplane. It came from the Qatari royal family. It's Cutter, John. Yeah, but do you say... The Qatari royal family then? Do you say Qatarian? I believe it's the Cutlery Royal Family. Did you hear what Trump wants to do with the new Air Force One? He wants to put it in the Trump presidential library. So they just... It's going to be an airplane hanger in West Palm Beach. Yeah, I mean, the thing is huge. It's brand new, and he wants to take it with him out the door. Now... Well, here's the thing. The Democrats, if the Democrats Lord help us end up getting into the White House, they'll just like, I don't know, melt it down for parts. So he might as well take it with them. You know, the Reagan Library in Seamy Valley, California has the old Air Force One. And it's one of the reasons why I really want to go because it just sounds incredible. Do you get to like walk on the plane? You get to like go through and is that part of it? I think you do. I think you do. That would be cool. Yeah. I would love to do that. Do what I wonder? Tell us, Dan, I have some ideas. So, for whatever reason, I got this stuck in my head a couple of days ago, and I just can't let it go. So you know Graceland, right? Yeah. So when you go to Graceland, they actually don't let you. Did I talk about this already on WTN? I don't think so. When you go to Graceland, they don't let you upstairs to see the upstairs. Why? Have they turned it into like a business office? No, they just, they don't let you go upstairs where Elvis died. So if I got like a job at Graceland, could I sneak up there and see the bathroom where Elvis died? Would they let me do that? Probably. Would they? They would let you all across the Sam 27,000, which is the Air Force One model playing at the Reagan Museum as well. Yeah, so that is part of the tour. Yeah. But where Elvis died is not part of the tour. I would want to get like the backstage thing. It's because of it, well, where I could go see where he died. Can you pay extra to see the toilet?
I think it's probably because people would be like taking selfies on the toilet. Jim Rome takes on sports. Part of what makes this show, the show, is the show within the show. The biggest topic on the show always seems to be the show itself. This is a way to give you clones, a way to interact with one another. They'd be like reenacting it. Because he, like he collapsed, I believe, right outside of the bathroom. On. Did he collapse actually on the toilet? I don't, did he collapse one while he was like sitting there? I don't know. Sounds like we're going to find out because Sam is, is GPTing it. So. Do you know what he was doing? I remember the day that I actually blew Johnny's, Johnny B's mind. Yeah. And Ken's mind. You have a potty brain. You do. You have a potty brain. I don't know what you're talking about. So I surprised Johnny B. and Ken with my bizarre random knowledge of the day that Elvis died. Do you know what Elvis did before he died on the toilet? He ate a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Okay. And you said cocaine? No. Sam. Are you sure? Well, he may have done that too. But he played racquetball. Huh. He played two hours of racquetball. That's probably what did a man. Well, constipated. He'd been having issues. I pulled up the cause of death. Is that what it was? It was constipation? So the official cause of death was a heart attack. Investigators determined Elvis had been sitting on the toilet reading a book. I'm not kidding. Tidal The Scientific Search for Jesus. Friesic evidence indicates he suffered a cardiac event, pitched forward off the commode, and collapsed onto the floor. So you know what people would do? They would like get into Dead Elvis mode on the floor and take selfies. Oh. 100% they would. Joan Jay Jones, you know they would do that. People are dumb. With immediate cause being cardiac arrest, a toxicology report later revealed 14 prescription drugs in his system, including codeine, morphine, and various sedatives. Whoa. And he was constipated. Which was why he was constipated. People do weird things. People, by the way, 1761, they're calling us quittarded. People would absolutely. Go in there and take selfies. We went to the Christmas Story House in Cleveland. Yeah. Okay, so you get to like tour the whole house that they filmed the movie in, which is actually really cool. You can rent it out as an Airbnb. Right. Which I want to do one day for fun. Yeah. But in that bathroom, they have the bar of soap that Ralphie put in his mouth. And there is like hundreds of teeth marks in it.
Ew, so people have been doing it. Yeah, people, that's just, I'm just saying people are gross and they're going to do exactly what you think they're going to do. So they're going to make the face because investigators believe the physical strain of trying to complete the bowel movement triggered cardiovascular strain known as the Val Salva maneuver that stopped his heart. The Val Salva maneuver. It's apparently that when you put strain on your body, it triggers that particular. event in your heart to stop that's what it's called you should have got a squatty potty they use real soap in that movie yeah because these days they have props yeah there would be a prop you would think there was a there's a piece of soap in the bathroom at the Christmas Story House. Yeah. And, like, the tour guy is like, please don't put your mouth on the soap. So, of course. And you look at the soap and, like, I'm telling you, there was hundreds of teeth marks in that soap. That is so funny. It was actually a very cool tour. Is that the movie where the kid, like, licked the pole? Yeah. And he got his tongue stuck on the pole. Oh, yeah. So do people lick the pole? Well, the pole isn't at the house. The pole was at the school. Oh. People are licking things all over that house, though, I'm sure. Yeah, it's got to be gross. It was very cool. It was very cool. Okay. That's one of those movies Amy's been trying to get me to watch for years. You've never watched a Christmas story? What? No, I haven't. It's one of those things. I just... Dude, it's dumb. You'll shoot your eye out, kid. And he sticks his tongue to the pole. I heard you earlier with Mr. Wilson. And my kids call him that and I love it. Mr. Wilson. It gives me Dennis the Menace vibes. Okay. So I heard you earlier with Mr. Wilson. And you're going to watch Young Washington this weekend, but you have Christmas story on the list. You should watch Christmas story first. Christmas story is really not on my list. It's on Amy's list. I want to be clearer. Why would it not be on your list? And how do you miss it? How have you not stumbled across it and watched it by accident at this point? Very carefully. I just think it just, it looks like a dumb movie to me. It does. It looks like a dumb movie. Now, it's probably not. It's not. It's one of the greatest movies of all time. Really? Have you seen War the Gargantuous? That's one of the greatest movies of all time. Zero, 36. Dan Sullivan Akami. Chris is looking at me. You know what Chris is thinking? Who are you? No, it's the, I don't even know you anymore. It's the, I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Hey, Chris, you want an answer to what that maneuver was called? Yeah. Yeah, uh, 9313. It's a vasovagal reaction that drops your heart rate when you go number two. But you would think with all the cocaine he was doing, dropping your heart rate would have been a good thing. It would have been balanced out. But all the sedatives, his blood pressure was low enough. Dan, you ever been on cocaine? Is that where you're taking the story? Have you ever been on cocaine? I'm asking your question. Yeah, everybody's been on cocaine, Dan. If he was on more of it, there probably would have been less constipation cocaine back then and was cut with laxatives. Joan, you ever been on cocaine? Yeah, sure I have. Jay Jones on cocaine right now. Can't you hear it in my book? Look. Yo. How do you think she makes the drive from Manchester every morning? Right.
It's a long drive. Do you know what Joan sounds like when she's on cocaine? Maybe because these people, they are crazy because they always talk about how... Joan Jay Jones on cocaine. Yeah, I don't know. There I go. People be snorting. I've never been on cocaine. Like, never have. No, I have any other, Dan. Hey, you want to do a daily Danpole? Do you believe that Chris Hand has never been on cocaine? I, because I... You know what Chris? You really want me to put that up? I... Do I have your permission? I don't care. Okay, we're going to do a daily Dan poll. What the people think of me has no, no bearing on what I do in my daily life. Do you believe that Chris can or hand has never been on cocaine? I'm just curious. You're curious about what the audience thinks of this question? Yes, I'm curious about what the audience thinks. You don't care about my answer. Whatever. Whatever. Anyway. I've had some segments I thought would be better if I was on cocaine, like all of them. Then it would fly by and you'd be left wandering with you. It would. Cocaine would come in handy for you this week because you're doing the Marathon Mandus. You're doing Red Eye and then into National Morning News. Do you know what I did this morning? I was talking about the ships in the Strait of Hormuz. And when I said the word ships, no, you didn't. I did. I put a tea in there. And I stopped that I giggled. I stopped and I giggled. I stopped and I giggled. And I'm like, oh, my God, did I just do it? I think I did. And I just moved right along because that's all you can do. And I was going to pull it and make fun of myself. but I actually, do you know how, I don't know if you're like this, Chris, but when you shank, because it was like the first like three or four minutes of a three hour broadcast. You screw that up that bad in the first three hours. The rest of the show is going to be terrible. It's hilarious. Yeah, I did. I'm disappointed in these supertexters. Why? 3618. I'm very familiar with the type of man who uses cocaine, and Chris Hand has used cocaine. 4899. It was a long time ago, but damn it, it was awesome. Did you see that one person? 1455. Chris Ann said he doesn't do cocaine, but he loves the smell of it. Valerie says, Dan, you watch Austin Powers, but you think Christmas story looks dumb. Thank you. Thank you, Valerie. Yeah, you know what? I mean, as I said, Amy's been trying to get me. Okay, here's the thing. You know why I look dumb, though? Why? Because there's happiness in it. Here's the deal. I've watched. parts of Christmas story. Oh, no. I've never seen the entire thing strung together. You know what I mean? But I'm not a big, like... You're not big at stringing things together? I don't know how to answer that. What's the right answer? Joan, what's the right answer? Should I say yes or no? You should say definitely no. Definitely no. On the YouTube poll, do you think Chris has done cocaine?
57% say no, but 43% say yes. Degenerates. Every single one of you. Keith has a great idea. Why don't you all try to do a whole segment on using Jasmine Crockett's Street English? No. That would be funny. I'd be fitting to do it at 905. I could do a whole newscast. People would think the station has got a gas leak or something and we're all losing it. See, I wouldn't know how to do it though. You could do it if you tried because the key is not trying. Yeah. Turn your brain off. Put it into autopilot mode, airplane mode, that brain. Yeah, but I still don't know how to speak it. Like, I don't know. You just did. You just did. What did I say? I don't know how to speak it. People be speaking. We got to go. We're fin to have to go to break, you know. We fin to go break. Dan Sullivan fitting to go to the comic coffee place. You're going to be asking for a Danish cheer in a minute. He's going to be axon. He's going to need that double cup latte. You feel me? For real, for real. I wanted. No cap. I'm my mama, homie. I want it abundantly clear. I have not contributed to anything that you guys are saying right now. I covered the whole black English thing as a legit topic. No cap. And you guys are doing all this stuff. Whatever.
