And away we go. Good Friday afternoon, you exceptional Americans. How do you do? It is Good Friday. April 3rd, 2006, in the year of our Lord. And I am your radio talk show host, Phil and Daddy. Matt Kittle, the lesser-known kiddle in the crowd. The less talented kiddle as well. The other one is probably healing up right now and working out and getting ready for the next football season. I am doing none of those things, but I will be chatting with you. and with some fantastic guests on this edition of the Dan O'Donnell Show. Dan Sullivan just out today. He'll be back, same bat times, same bat channel on Monday, I believe. Until then, it's yours truly. Our excellent producer, Andrew, keeping us on the right path, on the straight and narrow, not in a ditch. And believe me, he is doing the Lord's work today. Came back from a great Good Friday service. We had ours at noon at my church, and it was wonderful. The silence at the end always gets to me. It always tells me about this moment that is so important to we Christians around the world. I wish you a very good look. It's spring in Wisconsin. You know, we're going to deal with some cool temperatures and rain. That's expected. And before you know it, it'll be 85, and then it'll drop to 4, and we'll have snow, because that is the schizophrenic weather from Mother Nature this time of the year. What do we have coming up for you on the show? Well, what don't we have coming up for you? A little bit later on this hour, taking on the killers. Angel father Joe Abraham took sanctuary politicians to task. At a recent Senate hearing, Abraham, whose daughter Katie was killed by an illegal immigrant in a drunk driving crash last year, has been taking the case for Katie and all victims of sanctuary policies to the most powerful people in Washington, D.C., speaking truth to power. Joe will be joining us. A little bit later this hour, right around 325. In the 4 o'clock hour, protecting the First Amendment, we'll have a conversation with Kim Herman, President of Southeastern Legal Foundation. They have recently sued, by the way. They have sued the FBI over the Russia-Gate scandal against President Trump. You know, Russia, Russia, Russia. The old Russia collusion hoax is what it turned out to be. The documents have been damning that thankfully we have been able to see as the governed in this country, thanks in absolutely every way to the Trump administration, shining light on what they did to him and, of course, to his allies over the last several years in this country.

5:23

Oh, and then the gas bags. Don't forget the gas bags. The liberal hypocrites who want gasoline prices to skyrocket in order to drive their climate cult agenda have been raising quite a fuss of late about the high cost of gas, thanks to Trump's war in Iran. I am issuing a phony alert this afternoon. Bonner Cohen, senior fellow at the Committee for a Constructive tomorrow, joins us in the 4 o'clock hour, about 425 or so, to talk about the hypocrites, the gas bags, who are gaslighting America about the high price of gasoline. Not that the cost isn't up, no doubt about it, and it has much to do with what is going on in Iran right now. But... These folks have, as they say, in legal parlance, absolutely no standing. Because when the gas prices go down, and they will, and when they go down quite a bit, they will still be extremely expensive in California and Illinois and the rest of these blue states that have pushed all of this regulation. all of their climate change nonsense, really to kill the gas industry, the oil industry, because remember in the climate cult, gas bad, oil bad. But now they want you to believe that orange man bad, once again, orange man responsible for gasoline prices.

7:08

I make them sound like cavemen, and that's exactly what they want to drive us back to, the cavemen days. The wind isn't always blowing, folks. Just remember that. Coming up in the 5 o'clock hour, I hope we get a chance to the terrorist next door here in Milwaukee, the arrest of a guy who, an illegal immigrant. who has been connected to a terrorist outfit and how those stories have been put together in the usual way by the usual suspects in the accomplice media. The headlines, of course, are much different, and they really don't drive home the fact that we have terrorist and terrorist supporters in our communities across this country. Thanks. to the open-door immigration policies of Joe Biden. I want to start here, though. Did you get a chance to watch the great debate last night? The Supreme Court debate between the two extremely different candidates. You could not have a greater spectrum of difference, the line between Maria Lizar, an originalist, certainly someone who follows the rule of law as it is written, someone who's sane. And then there's Chris Taylor, the judge steeped in the Madison bubble, who believes in the three branches of the government. all taking place at the same time behind the bench. That's Chris Taylor. You haven't gotten to hear enough of Maria Lizarre, I think, over the course of this election, and obviously it's all over about the crying on Tuesday. I want to give you a chance to hear from Maria Lizar appearing on General 12 WISN last night. That was a good debate. And I thought Maria Lizarre just came out swinging. hitting Chris Taylor right in the kidney stone. Let's hear a little bit about what Maria is all about where she stands in jurisprudence. Shall we do that? Yeah, I think we shall. Judge Lazar, with control of the court not at stake in this race, what is at stake in this race? Well, again, thank you so very much for inviting us. And thank you to everyone in my home city of Wisconsin for watching. What's at stake in this race? Justice, integrity, independence. I am running to stop the erosion of faith in our state Supreme Court.

9:56

The choice in this race could not be more clear. On the one hand, you have a judge, an experienced judge, who's been on the bench for more than 12 years protecting the rights of everyone in the state. And on the other hand, you have a radical extreme legislator who is known as the most liberal of the 99 in that assembly, who now as a judicial activist, wants to put her views. her values and her agenda in the court above the law. I am running so that we can restore independence, and I am the only credible candidate in this race who can do that. And so that's why I'm looking forward to being Wisconsin's new justice for the next 10 years. I do hope that people were watching the debate last night. I had a bad bout of the kidney stone, so I could. No, I watched the debate. I thought Maria Lazzar did. very well I think she did she acquitted herself greatly in introducing herself to a lot of people who may not have seen her because of course she's her campaign is getting its brains beat out in spending by the the leftist by the big leftist sugar daddies who want to make sure that they have dominance of the supreme court for many many years to come and i think we've already seen in wisconsin what a liberal leftist supreme court is all about what it looks like for the average Wisconsinite when it comes to everything from property taxes to elections and election integrity, abortion, and the right, the essential right to life when it comes to the pursuit of that first one, life, liberty. and the pursuit of happiness. We have heard throughout this campaign, Chris Taylor, again, Maria Lazzar said what anybody who has followed Chris Taylor's career understands that she has lived a long political and judicial career as a leftist, as a Marxist leftist. You need only look at some of the things that she had pushed during her time in the state legislature to say, hmm, I wonder how she will perform on this bench as a representative for the abortion industry, the preborn murdering industrial complex. You know where she's going to go on abortion on demand. She will be the candidate. She would be a Supreme Court justice who says there is no line. There is no final line when it comes to when someone, when a woman can have an abortion. That means all the way up to birth. And it might just mean.

13:04

all the way up through and after birth. There's some good sparring going on last night to be sure. Again, this audio is compliments of ABC 12, WISN, and we certainly appreciate the debate, the chance for Wisconsin to see these two candidates. This is what Chris Taylor had to say about Maria Lizarre. And it's pretty much like the ads we've seen, filled with lots of, what's the... What's the legal term? Oh, lies. That's right. Let's have a little bit of that. She has been reversed repeatedly because she refuses to follow the law. She has a very specific agenda that favors big corporations and right-wing special interests. I don't know of one public judicial endorsement that she has had. In contrast, I have the support of over 160 judges throughout the state of leftist judges, including the majority of... of our own colleagues on the Court of Appeals. But let me get to your question. My opponent has described her judicial philosophy as being originalist. What this means is she believes you have to go back centuries to what The Constitution, go back to 1788 when the Constitution was written. 1787. Amendments was passed, like the 14th Amendment was passed in 1868. She wants to go back and basically say if the right wasn't recognized, like the right to abortion, if it wasn't recognized in the Constitution, or if it was not recognized in society, it does not exist. Judge Lazare, you're shaking your head. No, and this is exactly what I've faced through this. entire race, this race is a race for a judicial seat, not a legislative seat. My opponent is using the same old political playbook. And I will tell you, the problem with that is we do not want a legislator. We do not, cannot afford a legislature on the bench. As to my statements that I've been reversed, you know, I guess when my opponent has a few more years of judicial experience to understand that being reversed is a part of being an independent judiciary. and the Supreme Court, the four liberal majority on this Supreme Court, was reversed nine to zero by the United States Supreme Court in a case about religious freedom, Catholic charities. That's a great point. That is an extremely salient point in this race. Maria Lazar being reversed by a leftist Supreme Court should be a badge of honor and a notification that she believes an individual... liberty that she believes in the Constitution because this leftist led court, I'm not even sure if they read the Constitution. You just heard from Chris Taylor. She doesn't remember, she doesn't know when the Constitution was actually written. So, it's neither here nor there. Not everybody's a history buff. But as a final point, watching Chris Taylor last night was kind of like

16:22

watching Richard Nixon on TV debating John F. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. And history will tell you, and your own eyes will tell you. As they said, often at the time, it seemed like... Richard Nixon, the vice president running for president in 1960, won the debate on radio. I wouldn't say that about Chris Taylor, but they said he lost it on TV next to John F. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. They were, you know, not that far apart in age. It just Robert F. Kennedy Jr. knew how to work the TV. Chris Taylor? No. In fact, she may come down in history now as the RBF that could sink a thousand ships, the shrill voice that could make a million migraines. That also is at stake on this court. Ten years of that shrillness. Think about it. Coming up, straight ahead, we're going to talk about illegal immigration, the kind of stuff that this leftist court endorses and would support the continuation of illegal immigration that ends so tragically and has ended so tragically for so many Americans who have been victimized by violent illegal immigrants. We'll talk to an angel dad straight ahead on this edition. of the Dan O'Donnell Show with yours, truly Matt Kittles. Stay with it. Step into the world of power, loyalty, and luck. Afternoon, coming up in the 4 o'clock hour, protecting the First Amendment, and we delve into the topic of the gas bags. There are plenty of them in politics. So many of them on the left, we'll get into the politics of gas prices in the 4 o'clock hour. Now, though... Taking on the killers, angel father Joe Abraham took sanctuary politicians to task at a recent Senate hearing. Abraham, whose daughter Katie, was killed by an illegal immigrant in a drunk driving crash last year, has been taking the case for Katie and all victims of sanctuary policies to the most powerful people in Washington, D.C. speaking truth to power. Joe joins us now. Good afternoon, sir. How are you? Hey, Matt. Who are you? Good Friday. Happy good Friday. Yes, absolutely. Happy Good Friday to you as well. I ask you, you know, how are you doing? And I know the context of that question. And I've gotten to know you. So I know the hurt of that answer. The answer that you usually provide is, I'm still fighting. But you've lost a lot over the last year plus, no doubt about it. Yeah, no question about that. It's, um, we are in a, we are in a fierce, we're in a fierce storm right now, Matt, for sure. Yeah. Yeah, no doubt about it. And it gets worse and worse. We have seen since Katie died, since Katie was killed by an illegal immigrant who was driving his vehicle at nearly 80 miles per hour when he slammed into a car that was carrying four college-aged women, including Your Katie. We have just seen...

22:24

death after death after death at the hands of illegal immigrants. What did you tell the folks at the Senate Judiciary Committee recently? Well, I told them, number one, the demagoguering's got to stop, right? That's one. Number two is that they need to stop contextualizing all these incidents. They think these are one-offs. Hey, you know, one-off crime happens. This is just something that's part of our society. And, you know, it's not. They shouldn't look at it that way. Shame on them for doing that. And you cannot say that we have crime in our society. Therefore, if someone that shouldn't be here commits a crime, that is amenable. And you need that some compassion and some consideration for the victims. Because not only, not every victim becomes a death like Katie's. You're creating victims every day. You are creating victims every day because of these policies. You are creating the victims of those who first are terrorized by these policies, injured, killed by these policies. And then you're creating thousands more victims of the people who knew them and loved them. And that's what's wrong here. Fox News covered the hearing. And this is how they opened the story. Senate hearing got tense. and quiet. After Illinois father, Joe Abraham confronted retiring Senator Dick Durbin, Democrat Illinois, your senator, for not acknowledging his daughter, Katie, who was killed by an illegal immigrant drunk driver, as we mentioned. After Senator Ted Cruz, Republican Texas expressed his condolences to Abraham, the grieving father thanked him and then proceeded to drill into Dick Durbin. Tell us, what did you say? What was that moment like? Well, I have to say that moment was, look, I was disgusted in my own senator who wouldn't even look at me, Matt. He wouldn't even look at me all. committed, wouldn't pay attention to what we were saying. So I was getting a little fed up. Even some of his colleagues on the Democratic side spent time to acknowledge Katie. He actually spoke to me after the committee hearing was over. Dick Durbin left. He is that type of a person. People have got to understand that. How he served 30 years, as bad as he was, the way he performed that day is outstanding. And I believe Illinois would do that. So yeah, I was a little frustrated. I pointed over and I said, I cannot. I cannot basically believe my own senator won't even acknowledge one of his constituents and a lifelong Illinois father. And on a side note, Matt, I ran into Tammy Duckworth outside of the committee hearing. So I don't want to say confronted her because it wasn't a confrontation, but I went up to her. I said, I'm Joe Abram. My daughter's Katie. Here's why I'm here. Oh, I don't know your story, Joe. This is what she tells me. Please tell me your story.

25:27

I declined to tell her a story. I said, go do your homework. It's your constituent. You should know. You should be telling me. Yeah, no doubt about it. And let's face it, Joe. You have been a warrior on this front. You have appeared in many different places telling your story and about how important it is to get a handle on the insanity that we've experienced in this country thanks to... horrible immigration policies and then the invasion that we experienced during the autopen presidency of Joe Biden. These have real-world impacts. You have tasseled, taken on your rotund governor as well, J.B. Pritzker, has he yet to reach out to you or to respond to your many attempts to contact him about these policies? Not at all. As a matter of fact, I posted something on my ex-account yesterday. He was out there, like, walking on the lakefront. Talk about tone deafness and just the arrogance of this guy. You've had a university student at the lakefront. He's shot for no reason in his state on the lakefront. He's over there walking like nothing's happening in this world. Let me tell you something. This guy will pretend Illinois and Chicago is safe. I would challenge anyone here listeners to come visit me. I will take you around Chicago. I've lived around my life. I will take you around the CTA. I'll take you around the lakefront, magma, anywhere you want to go. I will show you who owns these streets. It is not Governor Pittsburgh. It's not me. It's not you. And it's not the police. So to come here and think, oh, this is a great place to let's go walk around. I would say if you're walking around, I would be looking over your shoulder. That's all I got to say about that. And it's just the way he deflects and the way he deceives is amazing to me. Well, here's the thing. He did that as a stunt. He didn't say, and correct me if I'm long, but I don't think he said, look how safe everything is. He was just saying, what he was trying to, yeah, what he's trying to communicate is, hey, it is, it is so safe down here. You don't have to worry about it. Chicago's a safe city. You know who knows different? The people of Chicago. They wouldn't be caught where he was walking. There are two fallacies in what he's saying. One is that that area is safe. It clearly is not, and it's clearly not safe because of some very violent illegal immigrants in plenty of gangs down in that way. The other thing is, is that fat... You know what? Walking is going to be one of the biggest lies of all time. He does all of this as a performative political theater. And Lord knows, they're carting him around in a limousine. He's not doing a whole lot of walking, as I see.

28:38

Yeah, and he can walk because he's got a security detail right there. This is not a town that is owned by the citizens or the taxpayers. And that's, again, I'll take you. Remember, they tell you a wrong place at the wrong time. Can you imagine the indictment they put on themselves some of these politicians when they say wrong place or wrong time? That is indictment on your leadership and we should change you right away because you're telling the citizens don't go to certain places at certain times because at the end of the day, you don't own the streets. That's when they tell the truth. That's the truth. We don't own the streets and we shouldn't be out and about like the and by the way, I would advise any parent thinking of sending their child to Illinois to a university here. All three of my children left this state and I made sure of that. I would think twice about coming to Illinois to college. Well, you bring up a very good point, and it is a sad point. We're talking to Joe Abraham, his daughter, Katie, killed at 20 years old in late January of 2025, killed by an illegal immigrant in a drunk driving crash. Katie was not going to school at an Illinois university, but she was killed. Around the campus of an Illinois University. And that's the thing, Joe. Those kids, your kids got out of there. I am sure you've had conversations with them about being safe as any dad would, and I'm sure that you were. probably delighted that they were getting out of such an unsafe area as Chicago. And now it turns out is the University of Illinois and Urbana. But do they not get that? The fact that your daughter was killed on a University of Illinois campus. They don't, but really they don't care either. They are not moral or compassionate people from what I could, from where I sit and what happened to us and my family and the response we got, you cannot say these people care about the citizens or the compassionate people. That is, I have not seen it. So to me, words are empty. Let me see what you do. What are your actions? And the position they put me into now, a lot of different positions, right? One of them is... Do I even stay in the state anymore? But I've been here my whole life. The roots are here. My family's here. I'm in the position now trying to convince my family to let's get out of Illinois because it's never going to change. Let's get out of here while we can, before any other tragedies happen. This is the position I'm in. Hey, I've got to leave the state that I've... I've lived it all my life because there's some reckless things going on here. There's no, you know, consideration, and it's only mismanagement and political self-interest. And I've got to find a better place to live. Hear this, though.

31:36

the folks who feel safe in Wisconsin. And I want this to register, and Joe, I want you to comment on it. I got a press release from State Senator Julian Bradley's office. I hope we'll be able to talk a little bit more about this later on in the show. The headline, Governor Tony Evers, the same ilk, the same kind of far-leftist sanctuary governor that we have been inflicted. The state of Wisconsin has had to endure for almost eight years now. Stans with the fringe left, vetoes Bradley Bill on criminal illegals. Let me read you a little bit of this. Finding people that committed crimes and sending them back home, who could be against that? Governor Tony Evers asked that question last June. Today, he answered it himself. Apparently he could. The governor vetoed a bill, authored by Senator Julian Bradley, Republican New Berlin, that would have ensured local law enforcement's cooperation with federal immigration officials. It's playing out all over the country. It's not just in deep blue state, Illinois, and deep blue state, California, and Oregon. It's in purple state. Wisconsin. And Joe, I think you would agree more than anybody that elections do indeed have consequences. No, they definitely do. And that kind of saddens me. I always thought of Wisconsin as more of a reasonable, you know, states, particularly versus Illinois. I would just caution the voters, like, careful what you're voting for. Careful on the deceiving messages you get, because they'll never be honest with you. They only need the citizens to pay the freight. And at the end of the day, they're just politically self-interested. So, boy, that kind of hurts here because you think Wisconsin might be a little bit more rational. But, you know, hopefully that doesn't pan out. And that Wisconsin voters actually see what's happening and come to a better decision. I hope so. I pray for that because we have lost some critical elections to the leftist in this state, like Governor Tony Evers. And we have lost, unfortunately, because we do have a lot of reasonable, caring, understanding people who get that when you have an invasion of illegal immigrants, sure, you have a lot of people who are coming to this country for a better life. You bet. But there are many coming to this country to take what isn't theirs. And what one of them took was the life of your daughter. Final closing point on that, Joe. What would you say about it all? The only people acting rationally are the ones they're registering with the incentives, right? They're coming for the incentives.

34:47

The irrational people are putting out these messages and these incentives without any type of guardrails, without any background health, these type of things. So really to think about it, the politicians are the ones acting irrationally. The illegal immigrants are acting rationally by responding to incentives. Yeah, well, there are a lot of incentives to do a lot of bad things in this country. The only way to really solve it is to get rid of the people who keep doing this to us, to you. Joe, as always, I'm glad I know you, and I'm glad I've gotten to know you over the last year plus. I wish we didn't. know each other i've said that to you before you would have just been a stranger um and i like you and and i think you're a great guy but you would have been a stranger you wouldn't have known me and katie would be alive that's what i wish we could be talking about but uh no that's that's not the case because of irresponsible politicians not just irresponsible politicians who have worked and gamed the system for a political outcome, all about power. And people are losing their lives because of that calculus, that awful calculus of power. Keep fighting the good fight. I know you're going to be on Newsmax tonight. What time is that? I think it's 605 Central. Yeah, they had reached out, so I should be on there tonight. Okay, looking forward to it. You always do a great job. Keep fighting, my friend. I appreciate it. God bless you. Thank you. Joe Abraham, he has joined me many times on a number of IHeart radio programs. He is one of the best spoken ambassadors of the angel parent movement that I have had the good fortune to meet. Again, I wish I didn't have to bring him on the show. I wish that his daughter was there with him. As a father of three kids, two daughters, I... My heart breaks for all of those angel parents. All right. We'll finish off the show coming up, finish off this 3 o'clock hour of the show. Coming up in Unmomento with a couple of thoughts from our listening audience. It's the Dan O'Donnell show this Friday edition with yours, truly Matt Kittle. Stay with us. Well, here's some good news, everybody, on this Good Friday. I got a text from a wonderful listener, texted yours truly, and the host of this show, Dan O'Donnell, sent us some photos, says, wow, the line to vote in Economowoc is out the door. To vote, of course, ahead of time. Your chance to vote in person.

37:43

Before the election, and apparently a lot of folks are out there, particularly an Oconomal walk for Tuesday's Supreme Court election. And, yeah, I would have to agree with the host of the show, Dan O'Donnell. That's good news. I think, and I'm going to tell you this. I've been covering, obviously, the Wisconsin election coming up, the Supreme Court election. I've also been covering. other elections across the country, including this crazy referendum to Virginia's state constitution, which would, of course, allow the leftists that control all of government there to be able to change the Constitution, and instead of having their treasured and loved and respected, independent maps-creating commission. Kind of like the People's Commission, that little red book-sounding commission of Tony Evers, in creating congressional maps, that the commission, again, that commission created them, Tony Evers fought for them, and now... the leftist in the state think, oh, no, we have a shot at better maps. Why don't we change that up mid-decade? Well, that's exactly what they want to do in Virginia. So they can take four to five Senate seats, turn their majority Democrats in their congressional delegation 10 to 1. 10 Democrats to one Republican. And I guess I relate all of this because I have been talking to people on the ground in tracking the numbers of early votes, and Republicans there in many counties are exceeding Democrats in the early vote that would reject this referendum that the Democrats are pushing as fairness. That is a great sign because, as we know, traditionally speaking, Republicans tend to do their voting on Election Day. I don't know where the early voting count is in Wisconsin, but if Republicans can at least keep pace or be close enough to Election Day, that's a very good sign. It always is. We'll see. Obviously, we'll be covering this very important story. the Supreme Court race and the election coming up on April. Oh, let's, speaking of the Supreme Court, why don't we check in with what Ketanji Brown Jackson Ketanji Brown Jackson has to say. I'm sure it's, it's got to be enlightening. was thinking about this. Uh-oh. And I think they, there were various sources that say this, that you can have, you obviously have permanent allegiance based on being born in whatever country you're from. Sure, sure. That's what everybody recognizes. Yeah, I do. But you also have local allegiance when you are on the soil of this other sovereign. And I was thinking, you know, I'm, I'm,

40:56

I, a U.S. citizen, am visiting Japan. Okay. And what it means is that, you know, if I steal someone's wallet in Japan, the Japanese authorities can arrest me and prosecute me. Sure. It's allegiance, meaning, can they control you as a matter of law. I can also rely on them if my wallet is stolen to, you know, under Japanese law, go and prosecute. the person who has stolen it. So there's this relationship based on, even though I'm a temporary traveler, I'm just on vacation in Japan, I'm still locally owing allegiance in that sense. What? What the hell did she just say? This was from earlier this week oral arguments in the birthright citizenship case that is so extremely important to everything we just talked about earlier on with angel parent Joe Abraham. And basically what you have here is a Supreme Court justice who shows us that you don't have to understand the law. to be a Supreme Court Ketanji Brown Jackson Ketanji Brown Jackson in one of the more head-scratching of the head-scratching things that she has said, and she has said a lot during oral arguments, and a lot of people have picked up on this, not for its incisiveness on the law, but as a reflection of how low can this court go? And I think we have reached the bottom here. In fact, I'm pretty sure of that. And again, anytime Ketanji Brown Jackson begins a sentence with, I was thinking, you know you're in for something good. It's what I like to call Ketanji Brown Jackson's turning Japanese. I really think so, precedent. All right, we'll take a quick break. Welcome back, thrill-seekers, hour number two of our little get-together. On this Friday, Good Friday, April 3rd, 2026. Blessed Easter holiday to all. We've got much to do on this edition of the Dan O'Donnell show with your old radio amigo, Matt Kittle, filling in. Coming up a little bit later in the hour, we'll talk about the gas bags, the liberal hypocrites who want to screen, Trump's war is raising gas prices as they raise gas prices and continue to do that on their... citizenry and the people of course who have to have the misfortune of driving through their state remember all of california's regulations and its hatred for the oil industry and the combustible engine That's cost you a lot of money. It's cost the people of California a lot of money, certainly. But it's cost those truckers. It's cost the drivers who are going between California and all of the other states. It adds up. You want to ask about affordability, as the Democrats like to say it. I think you probably need to look a little bit more closely at the expensive policies. They have put in place, and when it comes to energy, they have ripped apart the map to affordable energy. That's for sure. So we'll talk about that with Bonner Cohen. A good friend of the show. At least he's a good friend who yours truly. I've had him on a number of times. He's senior fellow at the committee for a constructive tomorrow. He'll join us about 20 minutes or so from now. But now... Let us talk about protecting the First Amendment. The industrial censorship complex has taken a couple of beatings of late. I'm very glad to see that. But don't worry, the silencing machine will regroup. Kim Herman, president of Southeastern Legal Foundation, they're an organization devoted to fighting for individual liberties, and they do a lot of work on the First Amendment line. She joins us now for a look at the battlefield in the fight. for free speech. Kim, thank you so much for joining us on the Dan O'Donnell Show with Matt Kittle. Yeah, thanks for having me today. Absolutely. Before we get into the censorship industrial complex, which I think is a fitting way to talk about it, an industrial complex that is driven in large part by your government working alongside some of the biggest players in...

48:10

social media and digital communications. But you folks recently sued the FBI, I know, over Russiagate scandal, stuff, the Russiagate scandal against President Trump. And it really does speak to, I think, the latest subpoena of James Comey over... James Comey, the FBI, former disgraced FBI director who is so involved in this Russia collusion stuff. And then on the other end of that, Arctic Frost, and you know the story there. What have you been able to find out on that front? And I know it's no easy feat to get documents from the FBI. Yeah, it really isn't. I mean, over the years, we filed over a dozen lawsuits, a lot of them in conjunction with John Solomon of Just the News, to get the truth out to the American public. And last summer, my name actually showed up in the whistleblowers report, where the whistleblower came forward and said, I got this FOIA request from a person named Kim Herman at Southeastern Legal Foundation. And I was told to give over records about the steel dossier and Russiagate. But I didn't know they existed. And when the FBI went in and investigated that, what they found out was that there was a meeting in December of 2016 at the White House. where the FBI, the CIA, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence were informed and instructed by Obama to go back and revisit whether Russia was involved in the election or not because he didn't like the outcome. Originally, they said that Russia was not. And he said, go back to the drawing board and consider this report. And so throughout all these lawsuits, we were able to help uncover that for the American public, and now we're suing because we want them held accountable. James Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Obama, they need to be held accountable. That's it. That's what I was going to get at because I know so many people are frustrated with the lack of accountability. And I think you could see that certainly over the last couple of days, the fruits of that frustration with the president. firing his attorney general, Kim Pam Bondi, because I think a lot of folks were concerned that there weren't heads rolling, as was promised during the campaign season. But do you think that...

50:50

President, former President Barack Obama, James Clapper, who ran intelligence, James Comey, James Comey, the disgraced FBI, former FBI director, and John No Neck Brennan, of course, who ran the CIA. Do you think, because it's clear to me they lied over and over again. I think they're guilty of a soft coup. Do you think they'll ever be held accountable? I mean, I sure hope so. You know, that's one of the things that we're trying to do. So there's a couple of ways to hold them accountable, right? We have our U.S. attorneys right now, as we've all seen this past week, issuing subpoenas, is, you know, really, really trying to do everything they can from a criminal perspective. But they also hid this from the American public. So as much as this was arguably a crime against President Trump and it helped. to effectuate and impact the election, they also hid this information from not only Congress but the American public. And there are ways to hold them accountable. Investigations can be launched. sanctions can be issued. The president himself has some power here. And so we are now gone to the Department of Justice and said, don't forget, you have all of this additional power to hold them accountable. Use it. You owe that to the American public. So the best we can do is remind them of that right now. Yeah, agreed, 100%. Kim Herman, president of Southeastern Legal Foundation, joining us on the Dan O'Donnell show this Friday afternoon. Final question on this area of our government gone bad. And I guess it is that, yes, they need to be held accountable. That's for sure. Do... What do you say when you hear from Democrats constantly about how Donald Trump is a threat to democracy and he and his attorney general have weaponized the Department of Justice? It would be funny if it wasn't so sad to me. How do you feel about it? I mean, I think it's just the pot call in the kettle black, right? It's trying to detract from what they actually did. And we all know they're the ones who weaponized. our government. They're the ones who weaponized our laws. And the main reason why they need to be held accountable is that people can have confidence in our laws again. Right. We're a nation, rule of law. We have a constitution. And unless we enforce those laws and follow our constitution, that's what's going to erode our democracy. That's what's going to erode our republic. And so it's really just, I mean, it's quite comical and just another page out of the Democrats book, right? We've seen it time and time again.

53:49

Oh, yeah, no doubt about it. It's a lot of projection. That's what they excel at. Now, I want to move over to the censorship industrial complex. This is a story that is near and dear to my heart, someone affiliated with the Federalist, but after more than two years of litigation, the Federalist successfully negotiated a deal with the State Department to end the lingering effects of the global engagement centers. unconstitutional targeting of domestic media outlets and to ensure a future administration does not restart the censorship activities that flourished under the Biden administration. What we have here, Kim, is again, this machinery that was built by the State Department. It involves private entities and they were able to over the course. of the Biden administration somewhat in the Trump administration as the deep state was involved but they were able to we all know what happened where we had conservative news outlets they could not get the kind of penetration that they normally would because they were being silenced. These social media networks and others were throttling them back with their algorithms, and it was by design. Have you dealt in this arena and where do you see all of this going? Yeah, I mean, the government that we saw during the Biden administration, and even before that, like you said in the deep state, we'll do anything to silence conservatives. We are seeing this at the federal level with our conservative media that you just recounted. We're seeing it in school boards where we have... People like Attorney General Letitia James in New York saying that if a school board member even allows a student to get up and say, I don't want to change in front of a boy, you know, a girl to stand up and say, I want a boy in my locker room, they're claiming they can remove the elected school board member. I mean, this is at every level of our government from the highest that you just mentioned to the lowest, most granular community level. That's why we have to stand up as Americans and sue the government when they do this. I just have to ask, and I think a lot of us are asking the same question. I've been following this issue for a long time. I still scratch my head. I think I know the antecedents, but how did this all happen? And why didn't... Well, there were some people who stood up to it. Why did so many people not stand up to this absolute assault on basic constitutional rights?

56:42

I mean, it can be scary to stand up, right? We deal with that every day here at South Eastern Legal Foundation and all the public interest law firms, right? So standing up and going into court can be very scary for some people. And for businesses and companies, the bigger that you are, if you're a corporation, you have shareholders, and they threaten and they scare. I mean, what we were talking about with Russiagate and the steel dossier, right? If you have those at the highest level of our government defrauding the American public. defrauding even presidents, right, dealing with election fraud, et cetera. And they can get away with that. And people sit there and say, well, if they can do that, then they can probably do that to us. Why would we stand up? And that's the wrong mentality, right? We all know that we have rights. We have a constitution. We have to be proud and not afraid to stand up for those rights. A couple of more minutes with Kim Herman. She's president of Southeastern Legal Foundation. SLF has been in the fight for a long time for individual liberties, constitutional rights, particularly on the First Amendment side. So where do you see this going? Because, you know, the consent decree that I just mentioned from the Trump administration. Just like executive orders, I wonder if these things are subject to change with the whims of politics. That is to say, we get another leftist in the White House. This decree goes away, just like executive orders. Where do you see First Amendment protections heading in the years ahead? That's always going to be a threat, right? And I think that we all need to be very aware that what happens at the polls, especially at the midterm elections this year, is going to have huge ramifications on our country. But just this past week, we had a really amazing ruling come out of the U.S. Supreme Court where we had eight of the justices all say that Colorado went too far when they told a therapist that, you know, that she couldn't give talk therapy. to children who may be suffering from gender dysphoria or are questioning their sexuality. And they said, no, of course she can give talk therapy to them. She is protected by the First Amendment to do that. We only had one justice, Ketanji Brown Jackson go the other way. And so, you know, seeing what we're seeing out of the U.S. Supreme Court, it gives me a lot of hope that... When the government comes in and does trample on our rights, we can at least have this third branch of government to go to. We just have to be willing, like I said before, you know, to stand up and fight. Kim, do you, do you, are you referring to this particular justice, the lone dissenting void, vote, Ketanji Brown Jackson. Let's hear a little audio from what she has to say here. I was thinking about this, and I think there are various sources that say this, that you can have, you obviously have permanent allegiance based on being born in whatever country you're from. That's what everybody recognizes.

1:00:02

but you also have local allegiance when you are on the soil of this other sovereign. Okay, I can't listen to this anymore. It's too much. They're going to have to pay me. Yes, they're going to have to pay me casualty pay to listen to this even more. Now, that was a separate case. That involved a very important case as well before the Supreme Court oral arguments this week in the birthright citizenship case. But, I mean, I think it's important in context of all of these cases. Ketanji Brown Jackson has said that she is concerned that the First Amendment. might get in the way of the government trying to do its job. Now, how does someone like that... yet on the Supreme Court with just a failure to understand that this isn't the people for the government, it's a government that was made by the people and is responsible to the people and must follow the rights that the people put in place. Okay, well, now I'm going to put my bar license at issue if I give you my true opinions at that because they will come after me, even though I'm protected by the First Amendment, right? That's the comical part about this. But, I mean, it's insanity, right? I mean, listening to the oral argument, but like you said, you had to turn it off to put us out of our misery. I mean, the questioning there, and then again, in the opinion I was talking about and the Chile's opinion, I mean, even Elena Kagan came out and, you know, slammed essentially Ketanji Brown Jackson's dissent in that. And so past the time, I have no idea what is coming out of her mouth and personally cannot understand any of it. You know, I think a lot of times she doesn't exactly know what's coming out of her mouth, and that's why we have what I call this week, the turning Japanese I really think so precedent from Ketanji Brown Jackson. But here we are. This is life on the Supreme Court today and life in America. Well, thank you for joining us, and thanks for the good work you do on behalf of a fair and... I think competent understanding of what the Constitution is in relationship to the people it ultimately serves. I hope to talk to you in the not too distant future. Absolutely. Thanks for having me.

1:02:42

You bet. Have a good weekend. Kim Herman, president of South Eastern Legal Foundation. They have spent the last several years and will continue to do so fighting for individual liberties. We'll take a quick break coming up next. It's a conversation about the gas bags, the liberal gas lighters about, oh, Trump's war and the high price of gas. How could he do that? Well, they're doing it every day. And as it was said, in the social network sphere today, when gas... spiked over $5 a gallon during the Biden administration. The comparison is gas has increased under Trump because of the war in Iran. Gas increased under Biden because of his war against America. We're going to put all of that in perspective. Straight ahead. Bonner Cohen is Senior Fellow at the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow joins us. on this edition of the Dan O'Donnell Show with yours, truly Matt Kittles. Stay with us. Sending prayers out today. A U.S. Air Force combat plane shot down in the Persian Gulf region. Reports that, this according to Fox, that a second U.S. Air Force combat plane was shot down Friday in the Persian Gulf region are not accurate. The one plane was indeed. There were two pilots that ejected. One of them has been rescued. The other one, they are searching for in an intensive search. I believe Israel has stopped its bombing campaign to assist. President Donald Trump has been briefed on an F-15-E fighter jet that went down over Iran. Fox News has learned the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. and state media claimed to have shot down a U.S. fighter jet over central Iran, specifically in the mountainous range. Trump issued a late-night truth social post on Thursday, warning that the U.S. military had not even started destroying what's left of Iran. I can only imagine now what happens in this case and what happens if that... member, brave member of our military is maltreated if caught in enemy territory. We will continue to follow this story. And as I said, we will continue with prayers as the search and rescue efforts are now underway after that F-15E fighter jet was shot down today. Speaking of Iran,

1:05:41

Lots of talk about gas prices over the last month or so. Very interesting. Very interesting indeed, as Jimmy Stewart would tell us. A lot of talk from the gas bags, the gas lighters, the liberal hypocrites who want gasoline prices to skyrocket in order to drive their climate cult agenda. And they have been raising a fuss about the high cost of gas, thanks to Trump's war in Iran. Well, I'm issuing a phony alert today. It's a three-alarmed phony alert. It's getting worse and worse all the time. They, again, these leftists from California and Minnesota and Illinois and New York, they have done some terrible things to consumers, to drivers. And no matter... Where we go in the pricing, it will always be considerably higher in those states because of the taxes and the regulations that these gas lighters have placed on gasoline, which they hate because your car can't run on batteries, although there's a problem there too. Bonner Cohen. Senior Fellow at the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow joins us now on the Dan O'Donnell Show with your old Radio Amigo, Matt Kittle. Hello, my friend. How are you? I'm doing very well, and I hope you and our listeners are too. Indeed, indeed. I know that our listeners are just as unhappy about the high gas prices as any. And, Bonner, I'm not saying that the war in Iran does not have an effect on the marketplace. It certainly clearly does. But when Gavin Newsom goes about saying, Trump's war is causing your gas prices to skyrocket, in legal terms, Bonner, does he have any standing? The price of gasoline in California has been the highest in the nation. It's been kind of a neck-and-neck competition with Hawaii. Hawaii is obviously a special case because all the gasoline that people in Hawaii consume has to be imported because Hawaii is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. California, by contrast, sits atop vast reserves of oil. Here's a little known fact. In the mid-1920s, the leading source of oil for the entire world was... Los Angeles County, California. More rigs were there producing more oil than any place else. And actually, California still has vast resources of oil as well as some natural gas, both onshore and off. But...

1:08:54

So you would expect, well, gasoline will be relatively cheap in California. Well, no, this is California in the year 2026. It's not your grandfather's California. As a result of several things. High taxes. special blends that have to be made for gasoline sold in California. It's called low-carbon fuel. By the way, it accomplish is absolutely nothing other than make the fuel less efficient than it otherwise would be. And it also adds to the cost of the fuel. Another problem that California has is its complete hostility to fossil fuels, reflected in many ways, not least of which is the decline and the number of refineries in California. In the year 2000, there were 23 refineries in California. By the end of 2024, there were 14. It is projected that by the end of this year will be down to 11. And that will continue. Now, that would be fine if the number of drivers in what have you in California had also declined, but it has not. You see, the high price of gasoline in California, which long predated the war with Iran, is there by design. These are not the unintended consequences of well-meaning energy and environmental policies. What they really wanted to do was make the cost of gasoline as high as they could possibly politically get away with. thereby forcing people particularly more recent years to purchase electric vehicles which is disproportionate number of which are in fact sold in California. Along that sliver along the Pacific Ocean where you have a lot of very wealthy people who made fortunes in Hollywood and Silicon Valley, they like to feel well about themselves. And so these people, for virtue signaling reasons, have been... very enthusiastic purchasers of EVs. But these vehicles are terribly ill-suited for the driving needs of not only people throughout the United States, most of them anyway, but also those in California. So as a result of all of that, California, again, sitting atop vast.

1:11:52

sources of oil, has high gasoline prices, has had the highest gasoline prices in the country for quite some time, and by the way, has absolutely no intention whatsoever, at least not under Gavin Newsom, and the powers that be in Sacramento, they have absolutely no intention whatsoever of providing any kind of relief to their long-suffering driving public in California. By the way, on top of that, the roads are in a disastrous state of repair, as are... Yeah, all of that. You bet. All of that, Bonner. And so I guess that's the question I need to ask here. You would ask this, raise this point before. They have done all of this as much as they could get away with politically. Clearly, they have gotten away with this politically. Clearly, nobody in the accomplice media seems to want to correct them on the lies that they are pushing out there, or certainly the half-truths that this is all Donald Trump's fault and the war in Iran's fault. So... Do you think there is a tipping point coming for any of these states, particularly California? And again, I think it's important to note that this isn't just California's problem. They're pushing this on to the rest of us. They're pushing this onto the rest of us. And by the way, they're pushing a lot of their own citizens. out of California. One of the many reasons that California today's has stagnant population, despite an enormous influx of the illegals during the Biden administration, but people of middle and lower income, particularly the once powerful middle class in California. These people have headed for the hills or the deserts or wherever. They have moved to Nevada. They have moved to Arizona. They have moved to Texas. They have moved elsewhere out of the country because they can simply no longer afford to live in California. And the high price of gasoline, and let's throw in the high price of electricity, because California has also astronomical... cost involved in electricity for your home, for your business, and what have you. Again, that's by design. That is the result of the move away from fossil fuels and the passionate embrace of green energy, in this case, wind turbines and solar panels, solar arrays, which are all over California, which are unreliable.

1:14:57

unaffordable and the cause of rolling blackouts and brownouts which we see out there all the time so it's a double whammy You're paying a tremendous amount of money for gasoline, and you're paying a tremendous amount of money for electricity. And that is one of the many reasons, as I pointed out, that people have decided I've had enough. This is a beautiful place, has great weather, but I can't afford to live here. Yeah, yeah. The weather is, you know, at the end of the day, if you can't make your mortgage payment and you can't keep your job because a lot of businesses are leaving that state, you're going to have to go to. Final question, just have a minute left, but where do you see all of this going? As you mentioned, this is a national problem. If California is taking away... all of its drilling stations for oil, and we are down to 11 right now, and it's going lower. What is that going to mean for the rest of the country in terms of supply? It means that... we're going to have to, in terms of producing oil, we're going to actually have to step up our game to make up for the lack of oil that is going to be coming from California. Fortunately, we have the resources to do that. In the Permian Basin, which is western Texas and southeastern New Mexico, this is the richest oil field in the U.S., we're going to have to step up our game there. The last thing we want is to have the California example spread across the United States. Many trends in culture and music and what have you over the past several decades originated in California. This is certainly something that we don't want exported to the rest of the country, although you can already see it in places like Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, and similar blue states where you have also an ingrained hostility, driven by a climate narrative, hostility to fossil fuels. The big losers in this are... the average American citizens who find themselves stuck with an ever-shinking disposable income, all done in the name of combating climate change. And these policies ultimately have absolutely no effect on the climate whatsoever. Zero, none.

1:17:46

That's the bottom line right there. It is ultimately going to hurt you at the pump. Even when this thing settles down in Iran, you're going to be paying more because of California's decisions and these other states doing the same. Bonner, as always, I appreciate your expertise, your knowledge, and your time. Okay. I'm very happy to be here. I appreciate it much. You have a great weekend. Bonner Cohen, you bet. Bonner Cohen, senior fellow at the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, and I think he raised a very good point at the end there in particular. Remember that a lot of the trend lines coming to America, the rest of the country for so many years, have... come out of California. That includes the crap that Hollywood is putting out. That includes the kind of nonsense policies that we've seen the Enviro-Wacko movement and, of course, a deep-seated Marxist movement. What comes from California damages the rest of the country, including... I think, the soul of the country. That's what you do for your Friday. You do a little dance. You make a little love. You get down tonight. There you go. There's your Friday plan for you right now. We talked about this earlier in the show. Governor Tony Evers, who of course is not running for a third term, and everybody with any sense of the last eight years have said, thank God. God is good. Although it is true, we could be replaced by someone of his ilk for sure. Someone even worse. Look at the candidates on the left. Francesca, I'm looking at you, dear. But not surprising to anybody, Governor Evers has vetoed a bill to deport felon illegal immigrants. It's coming this hour from the Heartland Post and the Heartland Post staff. Governor Tony Evers vetoed Assembly Bill 24. Today, rejecting a Republican-backed measure designed to remove dangerous criminal illegal immigrants from Wisconsin communities by requiring local law enforcement to, what, cooperate with federal immigration authorities. Oh, no. Oh, that's horrible. How could we expect? How could we accept?

1:23:42

Federal law enforcement authorities, those charged with enforcing the nation's immigration laws, it's sickening that our local law enforcement officials would cooperate with them to arrest, to contain, and deport people who are killing our citizens. Can you believe this, Joker? I mean, it's just more of the same from this idiot, this leftist pale writer, but my God, it's just, it doesn't make any sense. The bill, as I noted before, was authored by Senator Julian Bradley, Republican New Berlin, and Assembly Speaker Robin Voss, Republican Rochester. passed the Republican-controlled legislature on the last day of the recent floor session on one of those brave voice votes, I believe. Yeah, you're really standing up for your conviction when you say, hmm. I want to see the votes on the record. And I think we should all remember this from those who want to replace Tony Evers, and they all share his particular values. So when you're thinking about 2006, and there will be... I'm very sad to say that I think this is true. There will be many more victims of violent illegal immigrants in the two major cities in particular in Wisconsin, the two biggest cities and the two biggest leftist enclaves, Milwaukee and Madison. And you can thank good old Tony Vito Ivers for that. It's just that kind of insanity that has absolutely permeated his very long two terms in office. He needs to go and Wisconsin can't replace him with the same. We'll head out for a moment, be back in a flash, the Dan O'Donnell show with Matt Kittle. Stay with us. Hey, it is Ryan Sechrest here. And away we go. Third and final hour of the Dan O'Donnell show for this week. With your old emphasis on old radio talk show host, Philin Daddy, Matt Kittle. It's good Friday. Good Friday to you. April 3, 20206 in the year of our Lord. Dan Sullivan back with you. Same bat time, same bat channel on Monday. Until then, it's yours truly. And now, stepping in for Andrew is Super Dave, our producer. We had a little bit of a... Do we have an injury? Do we have a groin pole? What's happening? Super Dave, it's good to be back with you again, my friend. Andrew, of course, just a fantastic job keeping us on the straight and narrow. How are you, Super Dave? Gosh, you know, just hearing your voice again. It puts delight in my heart. It warms the cockles of my heart. Can we say that on the air? Is that FCC approved? Cockles? Oh, absolutely. Okay. Oh, yeah. When you and I used to work together, when I'd fill in on the Vicki McKenna show in Madison, I think we have said a number of things where we, after the fact, we said, should we have said those things? And it turned out most of those things we could have said. And we did. So if that makes any sense, here we are. So far. So far. So good, my friend. Just like the show. So far. So good. What do we have coming up this hour? A few things we want to get to, including Blue State Injustice. This actually ties in to our first topic. But did you hear what the communist Zohran Mamdani had to say about a seven-month-old? A seven-month-old murdered in a gang hit. Again, we have another victim of gang violence this time in Brooklyn, New York City. You have a seven-month-old in a stroller who's shot by two morons on a moped. And what this guy said about it is just... Well, it's par for the course, quite frankly. And by the way, how is that communist experience going in New York now? Is it good? It's all good for you? Voted for this guy, raising taxes, hand over fist, raising your rents, hand over fist. Yeah, that affordability quest, that's really paying off, isn't it? If we get a chance, I filled in for Ben yesterday, filled in for Vicki yesterday. We had a lot of filling in going on. That's exactly what I have experienced over the last 20 years with the shirt. A lot of filling in.

1:31:17

But yesterday we talked about Ketanji Brown Jackson, once again showing us that you don't have to understand the law to be a justice on the highest court in the land. And we'll delve into that after a while as well. But first, I want to talk about the terrorist next door. In part, I want to talk about how the terrorist next door has been covered. by the usual suspects in corporate media. The differences. And I think Dan has pointed this out. I think he did so on a previous show, but I think it bears repeating. And that is, we have, well, let me read you the press release from the Department of Homeland Security, what happened in Milwaukee. yesterday. DHS, this is the headline, DHS law enforcement arrests Jordanian National with previous conviction for throwing a Molotov cocktail at homes of Israeli forces. Okay? So let's get the Dietz from the DHS. April 2nd yesterday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE. Oh, no, he said ice! Oh, no! These folks really must have a problem every time someone mentions that they need to pick up a little ice. In conjunction with the U.S. Marshal's office, conducted a targeted operation in Milwaukee to arrest Salah Salem Sarzor, a criminal illegal immigrant from Jim Jordan. suspected of funding terror organizations and lying on immigration forms. Salah Salem Sarzur is a terrorist convicted of throwing Molotov cocktails at the homes of Israeli armed forces. So again, let's put this in perspective. This would be like anybody throwing... handmade bombs at the homes of U.S. military officials. Right? I mean, that's basically what we have. Well, no, no, no, no. No, these are oppressors, the Israeli military. They're oppressors. They're oppressing, and they're oppressing the oppressed. From the river to the sea, they scream. I don't care what the hell you think they are. You can't throw Molotov cocktails at anyone, particularly military officials, I would think, in all of this.

1:34:22

Anyway, acting assistant secretary Lauren Biss had said of this issue. Thanks to President Trump and ICE, this terrorist is out of our American communities. This administration will always put the safety of the American people first and make America safe again. Sarsour first submitted an application for an immigrant visa at an American consulate in Jerusalem. which was denied due to his convictions in Israel for throwing a Molotov cocktail at the homes of Israel armed forces and illegally attempting to possess weapons and ammunition. So you're asking yourself, I think this is a very important question. I've asked myself this question too. If the Israeli, the American consulate in Jerusalem denied his request for an immigrant visa once again on convictions of throwing a Molotov, convictions, not suspected, convictions of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the homes of Israeli armed forces, and illegally attempting to possess weapons and ammunition, how the hell did he get into this country and into Milwaukee to begin with? Well, let's get the history here. He ultimately entered the United States in 1993, so this goes back a while under the Clinton administration. as a conditional resident. So someone in the Clinton administration said, yeah, sure, he's a bomb thrower. Yeah, he's trying to get his hands on weapons and ammunition. And yeah, he supports terrorist networks in the Middle East. We think he's a good risk. We'll vouch for him on a conditional basis. Now, have you going around throwing Molotov cocktails again? Well, we're going to have to talk to him. We're going to have to write him a stern letter. He ultimately entered the United States. As I said, in 1993. So again, this goes way back. The criminal and terrorist, according to ICE, will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings. And they go on to say, DHS, this arrest is an example of what the media counts as a non-criminal arrest because this terrorist lacks a criminal rap sheet in the United States. Think about that for a moment. What you have been told by the gas lighters on the left, the gas bags in the Democrat Party. They have told you, well, they're really not arresting criminals. These guys don't even have a record. So many of these people don't even have a rap sheet in this country. They have long rap sheets in many cases, in the countries of their origin. And that's where they need to go back to.

1:37:43

During President Trump's first year, ICE arrested 43,305 potential national security risks. ICE has arrested 1,416 known or suspected terrorist and has removed 1,392 of them. Exceptional work thus far. More needs to be done on this front. And that is really the issue. While we have the accomplice media, and let me tell you how the accomplice media is framing this here story. From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the headline, pro-Palestinian activist, Islamic Society of Milwaukee President, detained by ICE. This poor fella, he is the esteemed president of the Islamic Society of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee. How could he ever have thrown a Molotov cocktail at the home of military officials? And even if he did, that was a long time ago. Who cares? So he was convicted of trying to possess weapons. So he is, according to multiple sources, linked to some of... the worst terrorist groups out there. Hey, that's no big deal. So there's story, just a bit of it here in the Milwaukee urinal. The president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, Wisconsin's largest mosque. Was detained March 30th by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents in what mosque leaders and National Muslim Advocacy Group said was a politically motivated arrest intended to remove a pro-Palestinian voice from the U.S. A pro-Palestinian voice. How many pro-Palestinian voices have we seen over the last few years in this country in cities and on college campuses that were indeed pro-Palestinian voices that were ripping up college campuses in cities because they hate Jews and they hate America? And, you know, the Constitution is the Constitution. They can hate Jews and Americans all they want. They're hideous and horrible people. They have the right to have that in their hearts. They have the right to scream that out in certain protest forums. They don't have the right to throw Molotov cocktails. And again, I want to...

1:40:58

I want to hasten to point out, this isn't something that he was suspected of doing. This was a conviction. Oh, but you, you awful, evil, conservative, don't you know that he was a political prisoner of Israel? He was hated because of his activism for a free Palestine. How do you know that? What do you do, no matter what, when someone is caught throwing a Molotov cocktail? I've heard this argument as well, as stupid as it is. Well, it's not really a crime because, again, Israel, they are the oppressors. The military, they're the oppressors of people. They've heard a lot more people. So that justifies hurting people. You know what that's like to me? It's that idiotic, Marxist critical theory idea of anti-racism. That's been a big thing it really has, thank God. in just general arenas lost its power. But during the full-fledged woke movement, which is far from over, by the way, anti-racism was the concept that was injected in public schools across the country, and it's been that way on colleges still is for a long time. And what it argues for is discrimination. present discrimination and future discrimination to pay for past discrimination. That's at the core of anti-racism. So what it is is certain people have experienced discrimination, certain groups, certain minorities, and we know they have, certainly. Plenty of examples of that. But because they have, people who... are not discriminating against anyone, but signaled out simply because they're in a group of people in which people in that group discriminated against some other group. They need to be discriminated against. It's really the same concept here. But what do we have? We have, according to a corporate news. industry, reporting on hundreds turning out in support for this guy. Hundreds turning out in support and questioning why ICE would detain him and what a shame it is and how awful it is that ICE would deport this guy. Again, a guy who was convicted. of throwing Molotov cocktails and attempting to possess weapons and ammunition, a guy who is linked to terrorist groups. And that brings us to the final point, and that is just how many illegal immigrants who were allowed to flood into the country.

1:44:37

Under the auto pen presidency, Joe Biden, the millions upon millions, and how many gotaways are out there? How many are on the terrorist watch list who were not vetted at all? Simply caught and released. How many out there? How many out there that would at least offer material support to terrorism networks and how many terrorism networks or individuals from terrorist networks are here in this country, here in this state, here in Milwaukee and Madison and O'Clair and lacrosse and wherever you go in this state, people who are working and waiting? for the moment to hit. And that's all thanks to these leftists who put their ideologies, their insane leftist ideologies ahead of public safety. And we need to vote these people out of office because they are aiding and abetting. this idiocy every day. All right, we'll take a quick break coming up in just a moment. On this topic, we have the communist mayor of New York City. Well, we'll tell you more about that, and blue state injustice. Straight ahead in this Friday edition to the Dan O'Donnell show with yours, truly Matt Kittle. Stay with us. Keeping it real, keeping it right. The Dan O'Donnell Show, this Good Friday edition, Kiddle here, you are there. How are you? Welcome to the weekend. Oh, my goodness, it just seems to get worse and worse and worse, and it really does come down to a battle of reality, those on the side of it and those apparently morally opposed to reality. And I don't know what kind of medicine we're going to need to take care of. This. It just seems to get worse and worse. We told you before today that Governor Tony Evers, to the surprise of no one, vetoed a bill that simply asked local officials to cooperate with federal law enforcement officials when it comes to apprehending violent illegal immigrants, like we were just talking about. with the president of the state's largest mosque in Milwaukee. And the shedding of tears over ICE's arrest and the move to deport him, a convicted bomb thrower. A guy who has been connected connected, according to multiple sources, with terrorist groups.

1:47:50

I think that your average American has a right to say, I don't want those kinds of individuals in this country. And there are a lot of people in this country. There's a party for it, as a matter of fact, that hate America. They hate it. They keep calling it, you know, a systemically racist place. They have been taught in these horrible higher education enclaves of liberal thought, of critical Marxist thought about how they're being oppressed and how America is oppressing, going around oppressing everyone. They like the whole oppressing thing. And they see violent illegal immigrants, violent... people as the oppressed. And it's going on everywhere. From Fox News, two admitted murderers, murderers, including one who isn't a legal immigrant, will serve just five years in prison each under a plea deal with a progressive Virginia prosecutor.

1:49:15

Maldine Anabal Guzman and Wies Alonzo Soto Portillo pleaded guilty to the 2004 mob killing of Nicosio Hernandez-Gonzalez, who was found dead with trauma to his body in Fairfax County, Virginia, according to police. Both men pleaded guilty to second-degree murder by a mob. And we're sentenced to 25 years in prison with 20 years suspected, leaving five years to serve. Fox News has learned. A judge accepted the plea agreements. Let me ask you this. In fact, let me ask the leftist who believe that these violent illegal immigrants are the oppressed in an oppressive system. Do you believe that Nicosio Hernandez-Gonzalez, the guy who was beaten to death by a mob? Do you think that he was being oppressed in that incident, oppressed into the ground as in a grave? It's just insane. Fairfax County Commonwealth's attorney Steve Descano. secured the guilty pleas, reducing potential decades-long sentences in a case his office said lacked key physical evidence. Descano's office defended the agreement telling Fox News the deal was, quote, and this you hear a lot, the only way to ensure that the defendants were incarcerated. Was it? Was it the only way? Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed that Guzman is an unlawfully present Honduran National who entered the U.S. illegally. In 2018, he was ordered removed by an immigration judge in 2019. I said it lodged multiple detainers against Guzman between 2022 and 2023, but the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Here we go. declined to honor them and released him from custody. Does this sound familiar? Yes, that is exactly what is happening in these idiotic sanctuary cities here in Wisconsin. Oh, there's no such thing as a sanctuary city. Yes, there is. Just because you call something nurturing...

1:51:56

Centers of Hope doesn't mean that's not a diversity, equity, and inclusion rot center if it is performing the activities of DEI. And it's the same thing in this case. It doesn't matter what the name is. It matters what you're doing. And now Governor Tony Evers has vetoed a bill. that would require these idiot jurisdictions to cooperate with federal law enforcement authorities. You can't have that and have a republic. You can't have that kind of stuff and have the rule of law. It's absolutely antithetical to the rule of law. And so Guzman, because of... leftist politics in Fairfax County, Virginia was not released to federal authority, so he remained in this country, and now he is convicted of second-degree homicide. And here is the ultimate point to all of that, tying it up with our conversation with Joe Abraham earlier in the show. If you miss that, Joe is an angel parent. His daughter, Katie, was senselessly killed by an illegal immigrant who was drunk at the time he crashed into the vehicle Katie was driving in. in Sanctuary, Illinois. The drunken, illegal immigrant who had previously been deported but allowed back in during the Biden administration was driving 78 miles per hour when he smashed into the stopped car at the red light on the campus of the University of Illinois in Urbana. story after story and what we keep hearing from the aiders and abettors of all of this. Oh, well, that just happens. It's not because this person was an illegal immigrant. It is exactly because this person is an illegal immigrant. Oh, but the rate of... physical violence and murders, all of that involving illegal immigrants. It's lower than the population, the general population. No, that's not the case because it wouldn't be a crime. We wouldn't have victims at all if those people were not here to begin with. The people who entered the country illegally. and then went on to kill someone. So that's the sort of context that you need here. That's the sort of context that doesn't seem to be hitting home to these dunderheads who continue to push these sanctuary policies.

1:55:17

The people who were senselessly killed in drunken driving crashes, murdered while they were jogging, sexually abused and then killed as a 12-year-old child in Houston. And the list goes on and on. Chances are very, very good. that those human beings would be here today had it not been for illegal immigration being sanctioned by the leftist who controlled government. Or quite frankly, the administrative state that doesn't bother to follow the directives of administrations that are trying to enforce immigration law. We've had plenty of that as well. There is some pushback, however, from Fox News. Montana's Attorney General is demanding a county reverse a policy whereby the state's top cop denies immigration and customs enforcement access to criminal justice data, warning the position is unlawful and undermines coordination with federal law enforcement as a top local official pushed back. Montana banned sanctuary cities under Republican governor. Greg G.N. Ford's Penn in 2021. And the policy also allows Attorney General Austin Knutzen to enforce compliance and investigate alleged aberrations under threat of civil action against any such state agency or local county government. Knutzen notified a local county, anchored by the city of Bozeman, that its policy stance is legally incorrect, and that Big Sky Country is not Big Sur. Let me be clear. Montana is not California. This state does not embrace policies that isolate law enforcement partners or undermine the government, the enforcement, I should say, of duly enacted federal law. Knutson wrote to the county attorney who represents... this Montana County. When asked about claims her county does not recognize ICE as a criminal justice agency qualified to receive confidential criminal justice information, the local attorney said such a claim is not accurate. The county commission, not the county attorney's office, is the only governing body with the authority to establish county policy. So the attorney general says, well, it's not me. It's the leftist county commissioners who have done this. And Austin Knudson, the attorney general of Montana, says, I don't care who it is. The law is the law. We are not California. We have common sense here. And you have to follow the law.

1:58:32

The problem continues to be that following the law is becoming an aberration in and of itself for these leftist officials. And that is all, all by design. So where do you go when people refuse to follow the law? When the people who are responsible for enforcing the law don't enforce the law. Well, you got yourself a little problem there, don't you? A little problem that could be a much bigger issue down the road. We will continue to track these matters, of course. We'll take a quick break. Wrap it all up straight ahead as we roll on this Good Friday edition of the Dan O'Donnell Show with yours truly. Matt Kittle, stay with us.

They keep coming back, and every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in. Glad to be here with you. Kittle. Matt Kittle, that is, your old radio amigo filling in on this Friday edition of the Dan O'Donnell show. Dan Sullivan back with you. Coming up once again on Monday for a new week of broadcast. Until then, it's yours truly. And now our excellent producer, Dave. Super Dave, as I like to call him. Getting very close, though, to closing off, but we need to take care of a few things before we get there. I had told you before about this ridiculous comment or response that Zohran Mamdani, the communist mayor of New York, had to the latest. round of violence, senseless violence in a violence-plagued New York City. New York City! Yes, New York City. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Fox reports, is facing criticism from local politicians and onlookers on social media over comments he made. Critics say places blame on guns rather than criminals in an incident involving the shooting death of a seven-month-old child. Seven-month-old child in Brooklyn. Oh, and surprise, surprise, by the way. Another leftist is looking to take away guns because they can't control their criminal population. This is what he said. This is not our first family to know this pain, Zohran Mamdani said in response to the seven-month-old baby girl's death. Kaori, Peter S. Patterson, Moore, who was killed by a stray bullet on Wednesday afternoon when a gunman on a moped opened fire on a Brooklyn Street in suspected gang-related activities. Too many children have never grown up into becoming adults.

2:04:03

Zohran Mamdani said, to parents who've had to bury those they lost most, we cannot accept it as normal in our city. We cannot grow numb to this pain, and today is a devastating reminder, here it is, of just how much more work there is to be done to combat gun violence across the city. And, of course, he went on to blame of gun possession and even gun possession by people who have not committed crimes, Americans who have every right under the Second Amendment to have and possess guns. What he didn't want to deal with, of course, All of the violent gun-toting residents of New York City... who have committed crimes, violent crimes, but were released through the revolving door, of course, of the local leftist criminal justice system. That sound familiar? Yes. How often have we heard the mayors, the leftist mayors of Milwaukee say the same thing? Too many children. Yes, too many children. They have known the pain of too many families know the pain of this violence. Yes, they do. And again... So many families wouldn't know the pain of this violence if you would take the people, the vast majority, the 90% of people who are perpetrating this violence over and over again, you arrest them, you convict them, and you charge them, before that, you charge them with very serious crimes, and you lock them up. And you don't let them out, as we just talked about in Virginia, on a five-year sentence for murdering someone in a mob attack. What are they going to do to this thug who murdered a seven-month-old as he was driving by in his moped, by the way? A drive-by shooting on a moped. This is the latest. It sounds like a violent creep and maybe a guy who isn't able to buy his own set of wheels. What are they going to do to this guy ultimately? Are they going to charge him with the fullest?

2:07:03

portion of the the law that they can are they going to lock him up or are they going to set him free after a couple of years if that so the the craziness the idiocy goes on a couple of final points before we say adieu when tiger woods crashed his car last friday arguably his most prized possession was with him in the trunk. What do you think that is? What do you think Tiger Woods wanted police to smash into his car? Because the car is turned over at this point. What do you think he wanted the police to grab out of his car before they took him into custody on suspicion of operating while intoxicated? Did you say his golf clubs? You would be wrong. He wanted his signed autograph book of the feminine mystique. No, no, I'm just kidding. I got that April Fool's thing still going on. Yeah, it's his golf clubs, of course. He's Tiger Woods. Woods' 2025 Range Rover turned into its driver's side in the crash, and nearly two hours later, the 15-time major champion was arrested for driving under the influence. He declined to take a blood test and figure out what kind of influence he was on. Or under, authorities arrived at the scene and talked with Woods manager Rob McNamara, who said the clubs were extremely important. I can imagine that. I can very much imagine that. Although we have heard as of late, Woods' dreams of being an Uber driver are pretty much... done for after this latest arrest on charges of operating while intoxicated. Go hit them there, Tiger. Keep it straight. You too enjoy your Easter holiday weekend. Till we talk again, Kittle's saying goodbye. So long. Hey, it's Bubba Wallace from 2311 racing.
