After a difficult week for conservatives, yes, we will take a look back at a very, very, very tough to swallow loss. Not that it was unexpected, but a 20-point loss statewide in what's supposed to be the ultimate swing state here in the United States. That is a difficult pill to swallow. But what if, what if? It all comes down. to data? What if the data deficit between Democrats and Republicans is actually the thing that is leading to nonstop losses, it seems statewide, except if President Trump is on the ballot? How many individual donations do you believe went into Maria Lazar's campaign? How many donations do you think went into Chris Taylor's campaign? The discrepancy is absolutely massive. Chris Taylor had 56,257 individual donations. Maria Lazzar, 2,215. The average donation for Chris Taylor was $93 and $73.73. Average donation for Marie Lazzar, $443 and $82. The issue isn't necessarily, as many of us have believed for a while, that Democrats are dominating with these big money liberal whales that are donating million, $2 million, $3 million at a crack like Reed Hoffman, Jeffrey Epstein's sleepover pal, who is the single biggest donor to the Democratic Party over the last decade, or George Soros or J.B. Pritzker.

It was well documented. I believe James O'Keefe nationally was the first one who started looking into this practice. And we worked with a local state group that has been very active. And I forget the name of it. They do excellent work. It is a group of citizen journalists who in 2023 we partnered with to look into smurfing. So what will happen is that $5 million donation will be funneled through. individual donors on the Act Blue platform who often have no idea that money is essentially being laundered through them. And they'll donate a dollar every two days, 25 cents every seven hours. I mean, you will have people on this Act Blue platform who are donating 1,500 times per day in the amount of like 17 cents per donation. It's very obviously fraudulent activity. This is not to say, however, that Crawford or that Chris Taylor even knew that this was going on. But it is something that happens. What I believe the far bigger problem is, is that donors are flocking to candidates like Taylor and candidates like Crawford as opposed to Brad Schimel and opposed to Maria Lizar, simply because they don't know how to donate to Lizar and to Brad Schimel. Now, this may sound insane, right? Well, Dan, of course, you go to the website and you donate, right? Well, what do you have to do first? In order to donate, you have to be convinced to donate. Democrats have a massive advantage, and it's not Act Blue, Wisconsin, or excuse me, Republicans have Win Red in Wisconsin and across the country. It's sort of like the Act Blue, and yes, there is evidence of smurfing activity through Win Red, not nearly as widespread as there is in Act Blue. What Democrats also have is something called the Action Network. Action Network was set up, boy, 25, 26 years ago by a nonprofit organization. And what it does is it will actually collect, save, and share data on donors, on supporters, on voters across campaigns. Do you want to know why Chris Taylor had so many more individual donations, so many more individual donors? Because she was able to immediately tap into a massive database of donors who had previously given to the Susan Crawford campaign, the Janet Protis Saywitz campaign in 2023, the Joe Kuroski campaign in 2020, and I'm willing to wager all the way back to the Rebecca Dalit campaign in 2018. Republicans don't have that same level of data coordination. That is a huge disadvantage. Just as Act Blue, which was a fundraising platform that was able to essentially very quickly funnel money across the country to different left-leaning and Democrat candidates all over the place. And you only needed to put your donation to one central place instead of, say, donating to...

Taylor for Supreme Court here and donating to Baldwin for Senate there. You just put the donation through Act Blue. Say where you want it to go and it goes there. When Red was developed years later as a way to make up for this huge fundraising advantage that the left has, the right does not have anything similar to the action network. The action network is, in my humble opinion, such a massive advantage that it actually does lead to a significant donor reach that Republicans can't possibly match. In other words, let's say you're the Maria Lazar campaign. And you want to start out getting a whole bunch of donors. Sure, there's a list that the Republican Party has. And maybe that's shared with the, you know, Eric Hubdy campaign in 2024. And maybe the Hubdy campaign has a whole bunch of donor emails. And they've got data, not just donor emails, not just contact information, but deep data on how much they gave, how often they gave. how big of a supporter this person is, Action Network provides Democrats with all of that. Republicans don't have it. So when we're talking about all of this, you know, they got a fire. And yes, yes, yes, I'm sure a number of you have written the Politico article. Yours truly is quoted in, along with a whole bunch of other Republicans in this state and people in the conservative movement. The central conceit is that Brian Schimming, the chairman of the Wisconsin GOP, needs to go. I said, look, we just need somebody with a better fundraising ability. Well, a big part of the fundraising is in the data sharing. And I think a big problem that the Republican Party has had is they have not tried to replicate this action network so that all of the donor information, not just contact, but voter profiles. How much is being donated per person? What specifically for the bigger dollar donors is the issue that kind of trips their trigger, like how you can tailor a message, an email to an individual donor or group of donors that will get them to donate money? Folks, it seems like Republicans are running races at least 15 years in the past. Democrats take advantage of every single high-tech

toy that they could possibly get. And yes, I'm not going to deny that they use those very illegally as in Act Blue. And I think Act Blue is going to face a criminal reckoning sometime in the near future as a result of this New York Times. If we have time, I'm going to get into this New York Times investigation because with the run-up to the Supreme Court election, we didn't really have time to get into what really is a bombshell investigation into Act Blue and all of the rather obvious fraud that's going on in there. But the fact that Democrats are just running circles around Republicans in the digital game and the fact that Republicans always have these sort of silos built up and these sort of walls built up between different grassroots groups. I mean, just look at over the past year. We reported on this extensively. The civil war. between the Republican Party and county parties in this state and Turning Point USA. I mean, there was an open rebellion against any sort of effort to have Turning Point USA be brought into the party apparatus. And the primary reason was, well, people were afraid that Turning Point was going to try to take over the party. And turning point was for its part saying that, well, the Republican Party is just a bunch of old fuddy-duddies and we can't possibly work with them. You'll notice Democrats never have this issue of different factions and different groups sort of at each other's throats. They're sharing data. They're sharing information. They're sharing everything and anything because the mission is always the same. To defeat Republicans to elect Democrats. We're going to get more on this coming up in just a second. Big article in Politico that I was contacted to contribute to. The central point is that pretty much everybody in the Republican Party in Wisconsin is calling for Brian Schimming to resign. That's, of course, not true. I have made my opinion very clear. I am quoted in the piece as saying just that, that I just... think we need a better fundraiser and i believe after learning uh about more it i looked more yesterday into both before and after the show into just the individual donors and what exactly was going on how much money was actually being raised and i got wind of something that democrats have been using for decades now that republicans haven't even tried to replicate And I'm a big believer in technology. I am a big believer in always trying to look at what's next and use it to your advantage, especially in politics. And Democrats just are running circles around Republicans. And Republicans don't even seem all that interested in using a tool similar to the National Action Network. You can go to actionnetwork.org. The Action Network is basically like... Act Blue is a fundraising platform, action network is a data platform. So when you donate to, say, the Democratic Party, your donation and your information is going into a database that is shared literally across the country through the Action Network and it's categorized. Let's say the Action Network sees you a liberal wine mom from Shorewood. It can see that you are very likely to want to donate to a fellow liberal wine mom like Chris Taylor. So you are going to get communication. You are going to get advertisements targeted directly to you in your email inbox, maybe on your Facebook page, maybe you'll get mailers encouraging you to donate to Chris Taylor. The donors to Chris Taylor will then be shared through Action Network to the next Liberal Supreme Court candidate. Remember, we've got another one of these races coming up in 2027, and already the conservative former Chief Justice, Annette Ziegler, who actually ran unopposed nearly 10 years ago in 2017, she's already announced that she's not going to run. So once again, you can see what she thinks about the favorability of the climate in spring elections for conservatives. It's going to be another uphill battle. And it very easily could result in a 6-1 liberal majority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Right now, it's 5 to 2 when Taylor is sworn in as the fifth member in early August. A big, big problem. I believe that Republicans have had.

is that Democrats have unlimited numbers of these nonprofit organizations, 501C3 groups that, oh, they just want to turn out the vote. They just want people to vote. No, what they're doing is turning out the vote in highly Democrat areas in order to provide Democrats with a massive advantage. They have mastered this game. They have truly mastered the turnout game in Madison, less so in... Milwaukee because you have got voters who are much less likely to be able to be reached and to be able to be convinced to vote. Well, in Madison, you have got a whole bunch of college kids. You have got a whole bunch of government workers. You've got a whole bunch of university employees. You've got a whole bunch of boomer libs. You've got just every liberal wine moms. I mean, you've got every single demographic of people who are now voting at near record levels. every single election it does not matter what they are incredibly politically engaged and democrats have figured out how to get a ballot in every single one of their hands and get that ballot returned That's all because of data. And that's all because of boots on the ground, making sure 24-7, 365 days a year, not just in election years, but in off years as well, that you have got people earning very good salaries. This is another critical point. You cannot have volunteers doing this because let's face it, volunteers don't work nearly as hard. Now, I love you, all the people who volunteer for the Republican Party. I think you're fantastic. But if you are doing something as a full-time job as opposed to just a couple of hours on the weekend out of the goodness of your heart, obviously if you're drawing a salary and that salary could go away if you don't perform, you are going to have extra motivation to perform to get as many people signed up for whatever list it is you're trying to get them on as many ballots out into the wild as humanly possible, whatever it is that your job is. Democrats never have to worry about people doing those jobs because they have got so much money they're able to hire them because they're working with so many different liberal groups on this that they're able to essentially farm all of this out. Now, Republicans, on the other hand, have a grand total of like two different groups that do this. Maybe three. One, Turning Point USA. Two Americans for Prosperity. Three young Republicans who are out there knocking on doors, who are out there doing voter outreach, who are out there doing all manner of voter contact things. There are three groups. And for the most part, the people who are working for them are volunteers. Now, add to that. The open hostility that the Republican Party of Wisconsin has had, especially to Turning Point USA, and you can see what a big issue this is. Democrats have an entire platform called the Action Network that shares data across campaigns, across state parties, across the entire country. Republicans in Wisconsin...

Couldn't even share data from the 2024 election with the state party and Turning Point USA. In fact, pretty much throughout 2025, the two groups were at each other's throats to the point where the executive committee of the Republican Party of Wisconsin wanted to actually put in new bylaws at the convention that nobody involved with a 501c3 organization, i.e. turning point, could be involved in any leadership position in the party. They softened that, but... After we started reporting on it and shaming them for it, I seem to recall reading off all of the 501C3 groups that every single member of the Republican Party's executive committee was involved. And it was clearly targeting Turning Point USA. And a big reason that nobody wanted Turning Point USA in because, well, Turning Point's going to take over the party. Turning point's going to take over the local... you know, Brown County GOP. And I'm sure the Brown County GOP is very good. They actually worked with us very effectively on our ultimate conservative voter guide. I'm just using that one, first county that came into my head. If there are, you know what, I won't use Brown. Let's use, I'll make up one. Dan County. Let's say Dan County doesn't put out its own voter guide, didn't work with the Heartland Post's voter guide, really doesn't do much of anything, doesn't even put on a Lincoln Day dinner. Well, why is it that Turning Point USA shouldn't go in and take over the party? What are they doing that's so unique? Well, old Chuck, he's been the Dan County Republican Party chairman forever. Well, if Chuck isn't doing anything. If Chuck isn't out there pounding doors, if Chuck isn't out there doing something other than hosting a rubber chicken dinner, which far too many of these county parties seem to think is the extent of what they need to do for voter outreach. And look, I've been to enough rubber chicken dinners. I've been on the Lincoln Day circuit for years now. It's fun. I love seeing people out at these events. But look, you see the exact same people out at every single event. Do you think there's any person in that room who is not going to vote for Maria Lazar is not going to vote Republican? No. So what is the point? Okay, fine. You have fun. You get together. You eat some mediocre fish fry. But ultimately, what are we spending our time on? Ultimately, what are we spending our money on?

Why are we not doing every single thing in our power to coordinate the resources that we have? And it's not just financial resources. It's also data resources. It's also email addresses, addresses, phone numbers, people who you can go to who are going to give a campaign. It doesn't need to be $500,000 like a Diane Hendricks or a Dick Eline or a Lizzie line or a John Menard can give, but maybe $25, 50 bucks. Why are we not using that data to convince voters? And we do have a significant number of voters, especially the Trump-only voters, who truly don't believe. That anything that goes on in Madison, that any state policy really impacts them, that the only policy that they need to worry about comes from Washington, D.C. at the federal level. Hey, I am calling, I'm agreeing with everything you're saying, but I think no one recently is getting to the heart of the problem, which is the voter rolls, when you have 60, 70, 80,000 people on these voter rolls that either are dead, have moved, are not eligible to vote. It's just such a big amount of votes to try to overcome. There's almost... You're saying... Wait, wait, wait, wait, hold on, hold on. Marie-Lazar lost by 300,000 votes. 300,000. Are you saying there were 300,000 fraudulent votes in Wisconsin? No, no, I'm not saying that. I'm not saying every single race, but I'm saying is that until they change this and get rid of it kick these people off the rolls, but again, it's not every single race. But there are races out there. Sure, but we're talking about this race where the candidate lost by 300,000 votes. And you just said this vote was far too far. I'm not disagreeing with you, okay? I am just saying 300,000 votes you're not going to find outcome determinative fraud. All right, you're just not. So we can talk about an issue, which is an issue. Cleaning up the voter rolls is obviously an issue. Was it an issue in this election? It most certainly was not. No, no, no, it's not. No, it's not. Right, right. So in other, but hold on. And I get what you're saying. Please don't get me wrong. You're talking to the guy who is screaming from the high hilltops in 2020 about how nothing was held in that election accordance with state law. Okay. That was an election. And when we have super close elections, you can say, okay, well, maybe we need to look into the voter rolls where there were some fraudulent votes cast, whatever. When it's 300,000 votes. Essentially, Mike, the voter rolls and the allegations of fraud and all of this, well, well, you see, there's another, it becomes self-defeating.

Because what it does is give people an easy excuse. Well, Democrats just cheat. And that's why they win. Yeah, of course Democrats cheat. I had a thing I did for years. I ran down, my goodness, it was 150 if not more years of provable Democrats stealing elections through fraud. If you can sit here with a straight face and tell me Maria Lazar lost because they were taking names from the voter rolls that shouldn't have been voting and getting mail-in ballots into their hands and voting, you're just not being honest with yourself. And it does no good to listen to the voices out there. And there are voices out there who will try to demoralize you by saying, well, It's all the fraud that's out there. And this is why you shouldn't even vote. You shouldn't even try because they're just going to steal it. Ask yourself, like listen to that part of your brain that is logical and says, can Democrats manufacture a thousand votes? Sure. Can they do that 300 times? No, they can't. What did President Trump say in November of 2024? What do you say in the run up to that election? Make it too big to rig. In fact, I'm the person, if I am going to pat myself on the back, who coined the phrase the fraud margin. There is a certain amount of questionable votes that Democrats probably can put together. If you get outside the fraud margin, you're safe. If you're inside the fraud margin, look out because they will keep those counts going until they find enough mail-in ballots that you're going to lose. Happens in California all the time. How many races in November of 2024 in California, congressional races, were actually called in December because they kept counting absentee ballots that are coming in well after Election Day. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that's on the up and up. But I am going to tell you that if you're looking for a tight, frankly, folks, nobody in Wisconsin, I think thought this race was going to be close enough or it was even worth anybody trying to cheat. Did you hear that? So when you say there's no voter fraud, And in fact, the Heritage Foundation, even the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, has never said there's no voter fraud. They always say voter fraud is rare. So your central, you know, thesis coming on and, oh, Dan, Dan, was wrong. So I'm going to give you a second chance, Steve, because I'm in a real good mood, despite of everything that happened this week. Do you want to, do you want to try some more talking points? Pritzker and Reid Hoffman, who actually was on the Epstein, Lolita Express. He did go to Epstein Island. He actually was at Epstein's ranch. I bet you didn't even know Epstein had a ranch because I didn't even know Epstein had a ranch. Reed Hoffman did and Reed Hoffman was there. Those guys have been spending millions and millions and millions of dollars every single year. And Elon Musk, I don't know if you knew this, Steve, did not spend a dime in 2026. Orange Hitler did not endorse in 2026. In fact, nobody really talked about him in this race. So we're on talking point number three. I'm going to give you another talking point. Go ahead. That's the main talking point. Couldn't have said it any better myself, Steve. That is the main talking point for pretty much every liberal. It always comes down to Trump, right? Do you want to, do you want to throw in an Epstein Files thing while you're there? How much are you paying for gas right now? Less than I was for a full year under Biden in 2022. Good try, though. How about now? How about what you're paying now as opposed to before Warren Hitler decided to start a war? Yes. I am actually paying less right now than I was the annual average in 2022 under. I got to come up with a creative nickname for Biden. What? Brain damaged Skeletor? How about that one?

Oh, how about, do you want to, do you want to answer that, do you want to answer that point? Like I am, I am literally debunking your talking point right before you. How do you like paying more gas, more in gas? Okay, I'm telling you for an, for an entire year, the average price of gas for an entire year was greater than it is right now. That's kind of amazing, isn't it? Yeah. And Orange Hitler had nothing to do with that. Why was the gas so expensive under Biden? Boy, how long do you have? You said you've been listening to me for a long time, Steve. We've been talking about inflation. Something tells me when someone keeps saying Orange Hitler, we might not be able to quite match wins. The average price under Joe Biden in 2022 for the full year was $4.19 for a full year. Trump is Hitler. We are in pre-Nazi Germany. All white people are racist. Trump is dangerous because he's evil. America is over. Well, that last caller could have very easily been our honorary unhinged liberal of the day. It is this grandma on TikTok who's holding an orange Trump doll and banging it against an old pot. While rambling semi-coherently. There are some sounds on this earth that are so satisfying. Illegal immigration, again, a big problem, a brutal murder in Florida. ICE Miami Director Kelly Walker on the arrest of Rolbert Joe Keith. Joaquin, an illegal alien from Haiti? First entered the United States on August 9th, 2022, near Key West Florida, subsequent to a maritime smuggling operation. He was arrested by the United States Border Patrol. He was turned over to ICE ERO for detention and was later issued a judge, immigration judge's order, final order of removal on September 9th, 2022. The prior administration allowed him to be released into the United States and subsequently granted him temporary protective status, giving him a legal safeguard to remain in our country. As of yesterday, the Trump administration stripped that safeguard, and his protections are now revoked. He is now in ICE custody awaiting criminal charges as well as deportation. It was just an absolutely brutal, brutal slaying captured on surveillance video. He knocks a woman to the ground and then viciously attacks her with a hammer. It's a reminder of just how dangerous, unchecked illegal immigration. really has been. But the Trump administration is again touting its efforts at the southern border. If we have time, we're going to try to dive into the single greatest success of the first year of the Trump administration. Now we're on to about the first year and a half. They just marked a day ago 11 months without a single illegal released into the interior of the border. That doesn't mean that nobody is sneaking in. But it does mean that the

catch and release policy of the Biden administration is over and that you are not seeing people released on parole. You're not seeing people just released into the interior of the country because they claim asylum status, which they obviously do not have. The border is secure. That, ladies and gentlemen, is your daily Trump date. Big article in Politico today. Wisconsin Republicans have a new target after a crushing loss. The Supreme Court results, some Republicans say, is a show of just how bad things have gotten for the state GOP in one of the most important battleground states. Now, I was actually contacted by the reporter writing this piece, Gregory Svrenzky or Sforovsky. I'm sorry, Greg, he seemed like a nice enough guy. I have no idea how to pronounce his last name. The essential point here is that Brian Schimming, the chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, needs to go. Now, I have said much the same thing for about a year now. Nothing personal. But that would be a scapego. Schimming is effectively a scapego. There are systematic broad problems within the conservative movement and the Wisconsin Republican Party that shimming being fired would help alleviate, I think, but not fix. According to Politico, the dissent is bubbling ahead of critical November elections that will see voters choose Wisconsin's next governor in a wide open 2028 presidential race where Wisconsin will once again be one of the nation's top battlegrounds. Schimmings departure. His critics say, would mark the first step in a long road to revitalizing the state's GOP political apparatus, once dubbed the SEAL Team 6 of the Republican Party that's now seen as woefully lacking in fundraising capacity. while all of us had high hopes i think the time has run out said one congressional district chair on the state gop executive committee granted anonymity to discuss private conversations with colleagues and it's time we go a different direction for the sake of our philosophy The Supreme Court result, the Republican said, is the ultimate example of just how bad things have gotten for the state GOP. In her Tuesday blowout win, Taylor nabbed more votes than Lazar in a wide swath of traditionally Republican counties won by President Trump in 2024. Trump bested former Vice President Kamala Harris in eastern Wisconsin's out of gaming county by 10 points. Taylor won it by 16 points this week.

Trump won Green Bay's Brown County by eight points in 2024. On Tuesday, Taylor won it by 14. Taylor also won Ozaki County in suburban Milwaukee, which a Democrat hasn't carried in a presidential election since 1964. Anybody who runs a business or anybody who runs a sports team knows that the quarterback needs to win games in order to stay the quarterback, the district chair said. And if we're looking at this like a business, like an operation, we need our leaders to supply the infrastructure for victory. In a statement, Schimming, who weathered an attempt to oust him last year, told Politico he remains dedicated to continue improving as we head to November. What we all must remember is that the results on Tuesday do not and will not decide the November election, he said. With Democrats in disarray, our candidates are in a good position. We must come together and turn our anger towards the Democrats as we work to defeat them. I. I don't see Democrats in disarray to you. It seems like they're pretty united in celebrating their win on Tuesday. Now, of course, they're all going to be at each other's throats once the primary really heats up for governor. And by the way, there was a big endorsement that kind of flew under the radar. We wrote about it at Heartland Post, our brand new digital media venture. Ro Khanna endorsed far-left radical Francesca Hong four years ago. Yep, he endorsed. fellow far-left radical Mandela Barnes. This is yet another big endorsement that is abandoning Barnes and going to Francesca Hong. I say Con is a big endorsement only because he's never met a TV camera that he is not going to mug for. You see the guy on every cable news channel constantly. Schimmings belief, though, that this election is not predictive is sort of borne out. Remember, you don't necessarily, a state Supreme Court win doesn't necessarily predict a fall election win. Ultimately, it comes out to two very different electorates. The people who are turning out in huge turnout races like presidential races, gubernatorial races, are not turning out in spring elections. That's essentially the biggest problem that Republicans have, is there are hundreds of thousands of people. who are casting their ballots, especially in northern Wisconsin, especially in those bow counties that the Politico article cited, that just are not coming out because they don't believe that this is something that really impacts them in a real meaningful way. They don't believe that the Supreme Court is something that they need to get out and vote for because they don't believe that the Supreme Court is really deciding anything that's relevant to them.

Don't just take my word for it. There was a focus group and survey done by the Institute for Reforming Government a couple of weeks ago that I think is an absolute must read ahead of the November election because voters told IRG directly. Yeah, we don't think that. the gubernatorial election really matters. They asked voters who sat out 2022, but voted for Trump in 2024. Why didn't you vote for the governor's race in 2022? Well, we don't think that the governor really has any impact on our lives. Oh, my goodness. Back to the Politico article. The state GOP pointed to tangible steps it took to support Lazars candidacy, including sending out mailers, nominating thousands of poll workers, increasing its digital footprint on TikTok, and through digital advertising and launching a dedicated micro site against Taylor last year. Okay, hold on. I'm pretty online. And I'm probably somebody who the Algos would say is likely to vote Maria Lazzar, right? You would think that I would see a fair number of Maria Lazzar ads on X or Facebook. I didn't see a single one. I saw a couple of Chris Taylor ads, not a single Maria Lazare ad. Back to the piece. Lazars campaign finances tell another story. The state GOP contributed just over $163,000 to her coffers throughout the 2026 campaign. According to Wisconsin Ethics Commission records, a far cry from the roughly 863,000, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin gave Taylor. You need somebody in charge of that party who's just a ruthless fundraiser, said Dan O'Donnell, a Wisconsin talk show host and conservative media editor. I could not get him to say WISN and Heartland Post in the Politico story, but I'll take what I can get. What I've said is you've got to find the Republican Ben Wickler. Wickler ran the state Democratic Party from 2019 to 2025 and is widely credited with revitalizing the party under his tenure. Wisconsin Democrats raised hundreds of millions. and transformed the way state Supreme Court races are won in Wisconsin. Yeah. kind of it fundraising alone though isn't the only problem facing the beleaguered state party billy johnson another r p w executive committee member representing the state's second district told politico there's so many things you need to do he said our messaging is poor it's bland you don't want we don't want to take the fight to the democrats okay

Alex Zimmerman, a longtime Republican operative and the communications director for Senator Ron Johnson during his 2022 campaign, says it shows how important a political apparatus is and the Democrats mobilized their entire force behind Chris Taylor and we just didn't have an equivalent operation. The state GOP seemed a little bit uninvolved and it definitely had an impact on the race. The state party Zimmerman said feels a little bit lost right now. You know what? That's a pretty darn good way of summing it up. It seems a little bit lost. It does seem, listening to members of the RPW executive committee who do decide whether or not the chairman stays, it does sound like the... RPW Chairman Schimming does not have the confidence of the committee. Hopefully, the Republican Executive Committee will give us a better reason if it does, in fact, fire Schimming than the UW Board of Regents did in firing Jay Rothman, its beleaguered president. Look, folks. I've been abundantly clear here. I like Brian Schimming a great deal. I think he has got a role in the Republican Party and in the conservative movement. But as I told Politico, and as I have said for years, On this radio station, you need to have somebody who has a national rolodex of people who can just give tons and tons of money. And you need somebody who is forward thinking. And as I said at the beginning of the show, is going to be able to look into getting database sharing, getting data platforms that can. Get voter databases as well as donor databases. So, okay, here's a good example. Eric Hovdy had a whole ton of donors to his Senate campaign in 2024. Why didn't Maria Lazar have access to that exact same database? Why didn't Hovdi have access to the exact same database that Tim Michaels had access to that he was able to raise and people were donating to the Michaels campaign in 2022? Same thing with Ron Johnson. Why do we have all of these silos? Democrats have something called the Action Network where they are sharing all of their voter and donor data. with each other essentially all of the data goes in through the action network and then it's just funneled out to each individual campaign why republicans don't have something similar is just beyond me but for a long time they didn't have something to rival act blue until they finally developed win red and it was a big big step forward in being able to raise money and distribute money in a modern way

Again, it just seems like we're running races from 10, 15 years ago, where it's like, okay, we got to get some Facebook ads, and yeah, we'll air ads on Jeopardy and, you know, maybe do some billboards and call it a day. No, it doesn't work like that. It really fundamentally does not work like that. All right, we've got to move on. A big, big lawsuit filed against New Richmond's School District. We will dive into that when the Dan O'Donnell Show returns. Welcome back. It is the Dan O'Donnell Show, conservative thought, not just talk. Group of parents and students have sued the new Lisbon school district. over their policy that allows biological males into girls' bathrooms and locker rooms. Ella Fry is a junior at New Lisbon High School, and she went viral for a post on TikTok, which really got the ball rolling in the national outrage over this. She was on Fox News with Harris Faulkner today. In high school, privacy is one thing that all girls like need most of the. And in the bathroom is the one place where you should feel most privacy. And when I saw that that was getting taken away, it made me feel really uncomfortable, nervous, and anxious. And her attorney, Corey Brewer, with the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, which is representing these parents in a federal lawsuit that was filed today in the Western District of Wisconsin. She said that this is a civil rights violation because while the school district attempted to make things right by putting in a single stall bathroom, it's all the way across the campus. Boys and girls are different, and that matters in places like bathroom. And it really matters in high school. Girls deserve privacy. They deserve dignity. And what we're seeing in schools like New Richmond is the girls either forego using the bathrooms during the day. They have to cross the school to use a single stall. They miss class time. Or if they don't, then they're uncomfortable. They don't have their privacy. So what we're asking here is not much. We're asking for a return to common sense because this is only affecting girls. And it's another thing that I'll admit I really didn't think about. So, okay, New Richmond is saying, girls, you can just use the single stall bathroom. It's got one toilet, one sink. It's, you know, but you have to go all the way across the school. So what's the passing period? Like five minutes you've got in between classes in high school. It's been more than a quarter century since I've been there. So I'm going to just go with five minutes, right? You've got five minutes to get your class. Well, if you've got to go all the way across the school. to use the bathroom because you don't know if there's going to be a dude waiting for you in the public bathroom and then get back to your locker and then get to your class. It's just not workable. Well, Ella said something that I'll admit as a dude I didn't really think of.

The bathroom is a very social place for girls. They put on their makeup. They talk. They gossip. High school is a very hard thing. So it isn't just a place where you go to use the restroom. It's a place where you go to touch up your hair, touch up your makeup, cry with your friends. So when I found out that that was getting violated and taken away from me, I lost that sense of safeness. So now I'm using the single stall restroom alone. Like none of that, you know, the... confidence and privacy that I deserved that I had before that has just been ripped away. What an incredibly poised young woman to be able to go on national television, and you know she is getting a whole lot of hate online from the, what was it, M-M-M-I-B-Q-L-G-B-T-Q-Q-Q-Q-I-A-P-A-P-Nus, whatever the Canadian government said. We had that as our unhinged liberal of the day yesterday. You know that community is coming out strong against her. And... Really, I believe there is a grand total of one boy in New Richmond High School who wants to use the girl's bathroom. So why is it every girl is displaced from their bathroom for one guy? Why don't we make this guy who is claiming to be a girl use the single stall bathroom? But of course, you can't do that in the liberal hierarchy of victimhood because obviously the LGBTQIA plus minus ampersand community takes precedence over females. Heck, they don't even know what a female is. Unfortunately, the law has a very clear distinction. It's called Title IX. And not only is the Trump administration investigating a potential and rather obvious Title IX violation, now they are facing a federal lawsuit. Another lawsuit filed by the Dodge County Sheriff this afternoon. It's a fascinating story. We'll get to it next.

Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt has filed a defamation lawsuit in Dodge County Circuit Court against Sundas or Sunny Nakvi, who claimed to have been detained by ICE, taken to the ICE Broadview facility after she flew into the country at O'Hare International Airport in early March, and also Cook County, Illinois Commissioner Kevin Morrison. Schmidt's lawsuit accuses them of peddling false claims that damaged his reputation and fueled a manufactured national controversy over Nockvi's supposed detention. Well, Schmidt held the press conference today and over the course of about 45 minutes, in painstaking detail. pointed out how Nakvi was lying. You might remember this story. She claimed that she was detained for more than 30 hours by immigration authorities at O'Hare back on March 5th. Then she was taken to the Broadview Facility for ICE and then finally, for some reason transferred to the Dodge County Jail. She said she was with five other people, two of whom are U.S. citizens. However, Schmidt showed security video today that clearly shows Nakvi entering into the inspection area at O'Hare, then going into a second inspection area at 1046 a.m. and then leaving for the public area just 56 minutes later. She is then seen leaving O'Hare International Airport. She then checked into a Hampton Inn in Rosemont, Illinois that same day. She arranged her own transportation to Wisconsin the following night. She shows up at a gas station in Slinger. You can see her on the surveillance video from there. And then she's dropped off at a hotel in Beaver Dam. Sheriff Schmidt has repeatedly said that Nakvi was never booked into the jail. She was never detained. She was never released from his jail. And in fact, there have not been any female federal detainees detained or released in that time frame.

And in fact, he provided jail records almost immediately after the alleged incident took place that showed that there was no Sundas Nakvi that was in the jail at any point. In fact, during that entire weekend when this supposedly took place, there were no females in the Dodge County jail. So he is now suing her for defamation. Morrison, the Cook County Commissioner, a Democrat, of course, blasted the Dodge County Sheriff's Office at a news conference right after this happened. He said they were engaged in a cover-up because authorities illegally detained American citizens without due process, including the Dodge County Sheriff. Sheriff Schmidt said, Absolutely not. These are false claims, and those false claims undermine all of law enforcement. When false claims like this are made, they don't just stay contained to one story. They paint a picture that law enforcement officers, including our federal partners like ICE, are acting outside the law, abusing their authority or targeting individuals improperly. This is a serious accusation, and when it is not true, it does real damage. It damages the trust between law enforcement and the community. It unfairly puts a target on the backs of officers who are doing their jobs the right way. And it undermines the integrity of agencies that are committed to operating within the law every single day. I would argue that that's sort of the point of these false claims. Because you never seem to get any lies about ICE agents acting completely appropriately. If you'll notice, when people finally saw when Trump deployed ice agents to airports and you saw all the video coming out of ice agents just being incredibly helpful. When people actually see the saint-like patients most law enforcement officers have for truly the worst, most insane human beings that you would ever possibly not want to deal with, but these law enforcement officers are forced to, you get a whole new respect for what it is that they do. And as Schmidt said, you start to realize that law enforcement officers aren't the enemy here. Let me be clear. ICE is not the enemy. Law enforcement is not the enemy. The men and women in our professions are sworn to uphold the Constitution and the overwhelming majority do so with professionalism and integrity. In Dodge County, we deal in facts, we deal in evidence, and we will continue to follow the truth wherever it leads.

I will not stand by while false narratives are used to portray law enforcement as something it is not. Now, as part of this filing, it was revealed, and there was some reporting last month that indicated that Nockvi is a noxious character, that she has been engaged in all manner of low-level frauds and dishonesty for quite some time. The defamation suit does face a slightly higher bar because Schmidt is what's known as a public figure. But the standard is simply that Nockvi and this Cook County Commissioner acted with actual malice. Either they were knowingly lying, and in Knoxville's case, yes, that is. It was a lie designed to damage the reputation of the Dodge County Sheriff's Department Schmidt in particular, or they acted with reckless disregard for the truth, which the Cook County Commissioner did, saying that, well, there was a cover-up, even though all of the evidence. Here's the thing, folks. Here's the thing that just boggles my mind about what leftists will believe. All of the evidence immediately showed that Sunny Nockvi left the O'Hare International Airport terminal of her own accord. That she was not detained for 30 hours, that she was questioned for about an hour, not even 56 minutes. And all of the time stamped video. that was presented at the time O'Hare International actually released the video pretty shortly after this allegedly occurred. It was very obvious she was lying. What is it about Democrats that makes them believe people like, what should we call her, sunny Smollett? It's because they want to believe. It's sort of like David Dukovny's character. Was he Mulder or Scully? He was Fox Mulder in X-Files. He famously said, I want to believe. In other words, he's looking for things that will back up his worldview. In his case, it's that aliens exist and they're visiting the earth. For liberals, it's that ICE is just looking for American citizens to detain because they've got brown skin. It doesn't matter that the story never actually made any sense, but it backs up their worldview. Human beings have this sort of innate psychological need to be right. So our brains actively search for stories or search for evidence that will back up our worldview. It's known as confirmation bias. And the reason that anybody believed this at all, and really it seemed like all of the media coverage was pretty much limited to the Chicago Sun Times and a couple of Chicago TV stations. To their credit, TV news stations in Wisconsin seemed to be covering this story with a healthy amount of skepticism that was completely missing in the Jussie Smollett story of 2019, the most famous race hoax in recent memory.

But Jesse Smollett happens. Sunny Nockvi happens because there is a need. There is a need. There is a lack of stories of ICE agents wrongfully detaining people, brutalizing illegal aliens. Think about it. If there were enough real stories to sate the media's lust to demonize ice, you would hear about those stories. Why did we hear about the fake one? Because the real ones don't actually exist. But you've got people who have been saying for a year now that ICE is Trump's personal brown shirts and they're committing atrocities against people who might even be American citizens. So when you don't have evidence to back that up, confirmation bias forces your brain to sort of glom on to an obvious liar like this Cook County commissioner. He's just an idiot. He just wanted to believe so bad. that you have got this horrible group of ice agents at broadview that you have got this horrible sheriff's department in dodge county wisconsin that took this poor innocent woman and her friends hostage kidnapping them this was a central narrative From the left, ISIS kidnapping innocent people off the streets. No, they're detaining illegal aliens, many of whom committed unspeakable crimes, and they are making all of us safer by taking them off the streets. You want the proof of that? What is the only major federal policy with regard to law and order that was enacted over the past year? There was one. It was mass deportations. It was sealing off the southern border. The homicide rate declined by the single biggest year-over-year amount in 125 years. You have to go all the way back to 1900, the first year that records were kept of this stuff to find a year where homicides have never declined. by as big of an amount as they did from 2024 under the Biden administration to 2025. And just take a look at this. In March of 2024, there were 78,000 people who were apprehended at the southern border, but released into the interior of the United States. 78,000. Do you know how many there were this past March? Zero. Zero. Folks, one of the single biggest successes that we have ever seen an American president achieve is the ceiling off of the southern border and the deportations that have led to a dramatically lower crime rate across the country. But she is running for a second term. First time she actually ran unopposed, if you can believe that. Sheriff is, this is one of the things that I still don't quite understand. District attorney and sheriff at the county level are partisan positions. County Executive is not. city mayor is not so they will be elected in the springtime whereas the sheriff and the district attorney those are partisan positions no real surprise that you couldn't find a republican to run against the democrat ball this was also why david clark rat as a democrat all those times all right time to name the unsung hero of the day

Last segment, we told you that he is fighting back by filing a defamation lawsuit against a woman who claimed that she was detained by ICE for 30 hours before being dropped off at the Dodge County Jail. He's also suing a Cook County, Illinois commissioner who repeated that falsehood and smeared him and his department. Kudos to him for not just fighting back against false smears against law enforcement, but also for saying the thing that the overwhelming majority of people in this country believe that law enforcement is not the enemy, despite what people who are far more sympathetic to the criminal element would have you believe. Let me be clear, ICE is not the enemy. Law enforcement is not the enemy. The men and women in our professions are sworn to uphold the Constitution, and the overwhelming majority do so with professionalism and integrity. In Dodge County, we deal in facts. We deal in evidence, and we will continue to follow the truth wherever it leads. I will not stand by while false narratives are used to portray law enforcement as something it is not. And Schmidt went well beyond just saying it. He spent 45 minutes painstakingly showing how Nockvi was lying. using surveillance video, using records of her various hotel stays to clear his department's name and in a very real way stand up for not just the Dodge County Sheriff's Department, not just Dodge County, but law enforcement officers everywhere. I'm going to apologize, folks. All show long, I have been exhausted, and I don't exactly know why. I think it was just kind of the cumulative effect of a long week. I got plenty of sleep last night, had a nice workout this morning. That might have had something to do with it and constantly having to rehash that. But it is, folks, it is important. And a number of people have been texting today and say, Dan, Dan, you know, why do you keep going back over this? Because what is it, Santayana, those who do not learn from the past are doomed to forever repeat it. If you don't learn from your mistakes, then there's no point in making mistakes. human beings by their very nature learn from, you know, getting things wrong. And folks, we've got seven months, seven months to get this right. And there's no room for error because Democrats, they are loaded for bear. And the electorate figures to really benefit them. And that has nothing to do with anything that Brian Schimming did or didn't do. It's the cyclical nature of politics. Do you think, okay, here, here, you've got rhinos, you've got the never-Trumpers coming out of their woodwork this week and saying, now. Republicans need to abandon Donald Trump or we're going to get smoked in the middle of just look at Marie Lazar. Marie Lazar explicitly said she was not a conservative. She was not a Republican and she didn't want Trump's endorsement. She got trounced by 20. Trump Hill still has the support of something like 98%. I believe there's a poll that showed him with 100% support among Republicans. Maybe it was 100% support among MAGA Republicans. But the point is he is still exceptionally popular. amongst Republicans. In 2010, under Barack Obama's presidency, Democrats got absolutely shellacked in the midterms. Was there a single Democrat saying we need to abandon Obama? We need to abandon hope and change. That doesn't work. 2014 same thing happened it was almost worse in 2014 the second obama midterm than it wasn't the first it just happens this is george w bush 2006 republicans got smoked The only reason it didn't happen in the first Bush midterm is because the midterm happened just about a year after 9-11 and the American people didn't want to vote for Democrats because they saw them as being too weak on the war on terror. In case somebody else in the audience is also listening yesterday and today, please clarify the difference with your strategies discussed today and whether Soros might want to do what strategy and how much and wish. Just to clarify the last two days. Thank you, Dan. Okay, I think I got that. So yesterday, thank you very much, Tim, really do appreciate that. I think what you were asking was, so yesterday I outlined, and I've been talking about this for a while, it's called the state party loophole. And you can give unlimited amounts of money. If you're a billionaire and you want to influence state politics, best way to do it is to give to the state party. Because there are no campaign finance limits. The Federal Election Commission and the state of Wisconsin both have limits on what you can give to an individual candidate. Well, about 10 years ago, Governor Scott Walker and Republicans in the legislature changed the law. They wrote a new law to say that you can give unlimited amounts of money to the state party, state GOP or the state Democratic Party or local GOPs, like say the Waukesha County Republican Party, the Dane County Democrat Party. And those parties could in turn give unlimited amounts of money to their candidates. This is why you saw the Democrats in 2026. give something like $800,000 to Chris Taylor because they could give unlimited amounts of money. So what Democrats have been very, very smart about is that they are funneling all of their donations that are coming into the state, to the state party. The state party then is able to sort of determine who gets what money and they are always flush with cash.

Whereas Republicans still haven't figured this out. And this is a big reason why I've been so critical of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. Your governor, your legislature set up this loophole for you. Why are you not taking advantage of it? Why are Democrats running circles around Republicans in terms of fundraising? republicans have a tendency to want to give directly to candidates well then they run into these campaign finance limits you can give to super PACs supporting the candidates but there can't be any coordination between the PAC and the candidate so the pack will run ads in support of Ron Johnson but let's say Ron Johnson wants to focus his message on illegal immigration well he can't communicate that with the pack so the pack might be running ads on crime and you don't get a cohesive message If it was just up to Ron Johnson, if Ron could have a million dollars that instead is going into these super PACs, he would be better served because he could coordinate his own messaging. Well, you can do that if the million dollars gets funneled through the state Republican Party. I hope that answers your question, Tim. Every single random tip that came in after Jeffrey Epstein killed himself, which led to unimaginable publicity for this story. It's all been debunked. We have a huge loophole that you can get unlimited out-of-state money funneled through the party to go to whatever candidate that you want. And it seems so many times that when they are talking about the Democrat Party, they say the Democratic Party wants to do this, wants to do that. Every day, they do it. He's been a strategist going all the way back to the Clintons, and seems always to be a pretty sharp guy, but my question surrounds his latest comment about his prediction about Trump giving up the presidency shortly after the midterms. Now, is there a method to his madness, or is this now just the ramblings of an old man who's snapped a rubber band or two upstairs? Little bit of both. Not that there's any truth to it, but he knows what he's saying. I'm saying he's not totally nuts. Every so often he'll say something where you're just like, Jimmy, you're all right, buddy. No, I think what he's saying, remember the audience he's talking to. He's talking to an audience that is just absolutely insane, blind with hatred for Trump. So he has constantly got to be. you know, feeding them what it is that he thinks they want. And ultimately, they want Donald Trump gone. They just hate him so much. No. So I think, no, there is zero chance, barring, you know, anything unforeseen, like a health incident or something like that. There is zero chance Donald Trump is going to step aside after the midterms. I don't know if it's Carville going nuts or Carville just.

It's really embarrassing. uh so i was so boy this was about a month and a half ago almost it was well it's the same day the ayatola was killed and i was the only person who might have had a worse day than him I went with my younger son, Chris, he's a high school freshman, and we went to the gym and decided to play a little basketball, and we were just kind of shooting around. We were playing one-on-one, and I've had a bad knee for quite some time. It just partially torn ACL, MCL, the whole works just from age and being active. So I've been in physical therapy in and out of that for months and months and months. Well, my first possession with the ball, I went up for a jump shot. And when I came down, it was like I didn't even have a left leg. It just completely buckled. I went right to the ground. And as I'm laying there, just completely in shock, Chris goes, Dad, Dad, are you okay? He goes, at least you made the shot, Dad. I said, thanks, Chris. I immediately did rehab, like extensive rehab to try. I mean, I knew. I knew my ACL was completely torn. It was a complete tear of the ACL, an MCL tear as well. I've got surgery scheduled on May 13th. And the only reason we didn't do it earlier was because coming up next week, I'm actually going to Prague. on a listener trip with our great friends at cruising tour. It's the Dan O'Donnell European Getaway. And because I'm going to be after this surgery on crutches for three weeks and then in a knee immobilizer for another three or four weeks, I thought I'd better wait until after that. So, yeah.

it's been you know it's it's shockingly i can walk producer dug do i do i have a noticeable limp all the time sometimes i have a limp sometimes i'm walking normally right not noticeable not really okay uh you can walk and in fact my doctor even said do you even want to repair it and i said yeah i'd like to be able to actually run again um but uh uh Yeah, so I've got surgery. And I was thinking about the thing that's going to suck the most, no golf for six months after the surgery. So I got to get as much golf in as humanly possible before May 13th, because then I'm done until about November. So I better hope it's a warm winter. I don't know what we paid for gas before the war because it's a commodity item and goes up and down daily. But I know it was lower because Donald Trump, the Orange Hitler, lowered the prices of gas as soon as he came in the office. And then I'd just like to ask the rest of them, what were they paying in property taxes before Governor Evers got off? Yeah, that's something they never quite want to answer. Or how about their utility bills, which were jacked up? Correct. And the thing that's so disingenuous, it's so disingenuous. I'm sorry, Bill, just real quick, is that it's like they expect you to forget that gas prices on average were about $3.50 under Biden. For four years. Under Trump, they were like $2.39 for four years. It's just it's... Well, before the war, okay, inflation was at its lowest point in the last, I think four years for February. I guess we could, I guess we could maybe say that... These price hikes and this inflation is transitory? Yes, yes, it's transitory. Now, that is a great way to end talk radio roulette. Proving once again that baseball has a sick sense of humor. Today, the Seattle Mariners unveiled a statue of Ichiro Suzuki, the legendary Hall of Famer, outside T-Mobile Park, only for the bat to dramatically snap and flop over with an audible crack the moment the curtain dropped amid confetti and cheers. He's always been a good sport. It's a quick fix, and the Hall of Fame are quipped. It was a reminder he's still not there and still needs to keep grinding. How bizarre? How bizarre? The general manager of Sober, SOBR, Scotland's only alcohol-free bar, it's in Aberdeen, was convicted of, yes, everybody can figure it out, drunk driving after being found slumped over the wheel of his crashed Volkswagen Golf. On Hoburn Street, March 7th, Hayden Garrity, 33 years old, was arrested after a breath test, showed he had 99 micrograms of alcohol per 100 milliliters of breath. I have no idea what that translates to, but it is more than four times the legal limit in Scotland of 22 micrograms. He was banned from driving for one year and fined 520 pounds. Now, the bar's owners have continued to support him in his role as general manager, saying they've offered him assistance and view the incident as highlighting the importance of a judgment-free space for those dealing with alcohol issues. I guess that's actually a pretty good message, and it's just too bad. that the manager of the sober bar didn't take his work home with it. A nonprofit in North Carolina that has been operating a low power radio station with the call letters W A KRP, excuse me, has signed a deal to bring WKRB back to Cincinnati. Making the fictional radio station from the 1978 to 1982 CBS sitcom a reality in the city where the show was set. D.P. McIntyre, he's the director of the Oak City Media nonprofit, confirmed the agreement. He said the contract terms prevent him from disclosing the station's new owner, the launch date, or any format details. The current WKRP in Raleigh, North Carolina. which has aired a mix of classic rock, local news, and specialty programming from McIntyre's home studio for over a decade, is being transitioned as proceeds from the call sign auction support a new nonprofit for emerging broadcasters. I'm just waiting to see what sort of promos they do for Thanksgiving. Because as God is my witness, I thought those turkeys could fly. How was I?

And finally, this one isn't particularly bizarre. It seems to be a classic case of an extramarital affair, but the outsized attention it's gotten online compared with the scant, if non-existent attention that it's gotten in traditional sports reporting, is in fact very bizarre. New England Patriots head coach Mike Rabel. and NFL reporter Diana Rusini, who works for The Athletic, which is owned by the New York Times, both are married to other people, were photographed holding hands, hugging, and spending time together poolside, and in a hot tub at a luxury romantic resort in Sedona, Arizona back on March 28th. Page 6 by the New York Post published the images on April 7th. That would be what Tuesday? Tuesday. That sparked widespread speculation of an inappropriate relationship and raised questions about journalistic ethics given Rusini's role in covering the NFL and Rabel's position as head coach that she has reported on. Now here's where things get a little on. Both Rabel and Rusini issued statements denying any impropriety. Brable called the photos a completely innocent interaction involving a larger group of friends, and Rusini said the images did not show the full context of six people hanging out. None of the pictures showed any other people, and one of them showed the two of them with their fingers interlocked. Now, I like my producer, Doug, quite a bit. After a good show, like we're done in about 12 minutes. The week's done. We're just going to interlock fingers, look into each other's eyes and say, hey, good show, buddy. Hey, great job. I'm glad you're my producer. They're clearly having an affair. They were photographed elsewhere, apparently in Indianapolis at a bar together. The group of six friends was nowhere near. But here's where things get really weird. There has not been a single report on this. It's a pretty big deal, not just because the two of them are having an affair, and it's salacious and scandalous, but because Rusini has been reporting extensively on the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, AJ Brown, who wants to force a trade to the New England Patriots. If that is trying to get a superstar player to her boyfriend's team, that's a massive scandal. Just within the last couple of minutes, Rusini has been sidelined by the New York Times while it investigates. Should I be surprised that ESPN, which is essentially functionally an arm of the NFL at this point as its major broadcast partner and the other major networks like Fox and CBS, aren't reporting on this scandal. No, I shouldn't be surprised. But dare I say, the fact that they're not, well, it's a little bizarre. Ladies and gentlemen, this has been your weekly look back at the strangest stories of the past seven days on the Dan O'Donnell show in a segment we call. How bizarre.

T-minus about an hour and 12 minutes until Artemis 2's splashdown after a nine-day mission that captured the world's attention going around the dark side of the moon and going farther away from our planet than anyone else has ever been. It is going to be a historic moment, but it is going to be a relatively dangerous one because the crew is going to fall farther and likely faster than any human has before. This is – I mean, look, let's face it. Anytime you enter reentry, folks, I was actually on the air. I was on the old WKTI on I believe it was February 1st, 2003, when the Space Shuttle Columbia. disintegrated upon re-entry. So that is seared into my mind. I was too young to remember Challenger. I know most people a little bit older than me, they were all watching it. You remember because obviously the school teacher, Krista McAuliffe, so they had all the schools watching the liftoff. And this is, obviously, we have gone. I just, I'm always, I'm always a little nervous at takeoff at re-entry. But it does seem like this is going to be perfectly safe. Splashdown is going to be off the coast of California near San Diego. It is going to be at roughly 707 p.m. And this is considered, I guess, I've been reading about this all day, easily the most dangerous part of the mission. because the atmosphere. So this is from USA today. Orion will begin to experience its effects while still 76 miles above the earth, the effects of the atmosphere. That's when superheated plasma will begin to build around the capsule. Friction increases in temperatures on the exterior could reach more than 3,000 degrees. Orion's heat shield will bear the full force of that reentry, but questions about the heat shield arose after external damage appeared when the unpilited Artemis I returned to Earth back in 2022. The issue was flagged in a post-flight inspector general's report, and NASA has said it worked to address the issue. NASA says it has high confidence in the system, in the heat shield and parachutes and recovery systems, that... were put together. Of course, Artemis II is yet another test run on the way back to the moon. We are very likely, at least the plan is, to land human beings on the moon in 28 for the first time since the early 1970s. I believe the last moon landing was 1972.
