Well, the good news is it's Monday, and the bad news is it's Monday. But the best news, especially if you happen to work for the TSA, is that 50,000 TSA security officers who have not been paid since the middle of February, where on the next last day of March, by the way, they are receiving pay. And apparently, operations at most of the major airports are returning to normal. Looks like Baltimore, Houston, New York, New Orleans, and Dallas, which had massive delays in the last couple of weeks, are all reporting very short lines. This whole website's now devoted to the lines at TSA. We're people that are so clever. Somebody figured out a way to... you know, make a website that people could check out the wait times. You ever drive down a highway and see the wait times for an emergency room? Like, are you really going to turn your car around and go to that one? Just, you know, people find ways to do things that I don't believe necessarily have to be done. Anyway, I hope you had a good weekend. The weather was really nice, you know, and I... would say it was a great weekend, except it wasn't. Yeah, and that's okay, because next weekend will be better. Next weekend will be Easter weekend. This was, of course, Sunday was Palm Sunday. And a lot of people dressed up and went out. I think I saw more people in the parking lot at the church down the street for me than I've seen in months. Well, you know, that's that crowd that goes to church for Christmas and Easter and not any other time of the year. So they were out already for Palm Sunday. I guess Holy Week is a good week and people turn up for church. That's for me. In my house, we go twice a week to church all year long. Anyway, the president had signed an emergency directive on Friday, ordering that TSA workers get paid in spite of the fact that Congress still failed to end a 45-day old partial government shutdown and the Department of Homeland Security.
was spinning its wheels. You know, I'm one of those people, and I've heard it on a number of other radio programs and television programs. I just don't understand why the president didn't authorize this payment sooner. If he had the authority to do it, which apparently he does, then... He should have done it sooner. I guess it's political that it wasn't done sooner, that it made the people standing in the way of it, in particular the Democrat Party, look terrible. But it caused so much suffering. I think at some point we have to realize that the politics are not worth causing the enormous amount of struggling that... our fellow citizens will go through, not just the TSA workers, although they were the most adversely affected, but secret service workers, the Coast Guard, and other Department of Homeland Security people, not to mention the rest of us, the consumer, the citizens who couldn't get flights or missed connections and didn't go away wherever it was they were planning. One of my kids went on a trip down to Puerto Rico, and they had to get to the airport. In California, four hours before the scheduled flight, the first scheduled flight. And then they were fearful that they wouldn't make their connecting flight. So consumers were adversely affected as well. Some of the workers reported on social media that their paychecks arrived in their bank accounts early this morning. So that's good. Now, absences on Friday hit an all-time high. Twelve and a half percent of workers were not showing up. computes to about 3,500 workers. The lines at the major airports were crazy. More than 500 airport security officers have quit since February. That means they're not coming back at all. More than a third of workers didn't show up on Friday at JFK in New York. or Baltimore, Atlanta, and New Orleans, and 45% of workers did not show up Friday at Houston's two airports. Now, I don't know how this is going to play out in the midterm elections, but it's got to have an effect. For Congress to continue to hold up funding the Department of Homeland Security when we've had a number of... Well, there's no other way. We've had terrorism in our homeland. That's what the Department of Homeland Security is supposed to be preventing. But if people working for that department are being asked to work without pay, does anybody really believe that you can do that and have a safety net that works? Because I don't.
Congressional Democrats had proposed funding TSA separately while they were negotiating over the reforms. You know, how much more reforms? They got the body cams. They got, what's her name? Kristi Noem kicked out of her secretary position. They had Tom Homan in there in Minneapolis, so they really got a lot, but it's never enough. Republican leaders in the House said, no, we're not playing this game. They had a bipartisan Senate compromise to end the six-week deadlock over the DHS funding and pass a bill to fund all of DHS. It's crazy. You know, think about it. It's school break. I'm looking at Instagram, and the only people I follow on Instagram are like my grandchildren, basically, my children to see what all my grandchildren are up to. And, you know, I'm watching all these families that are trying to go on family vacations. It's a spring break, whatever they call it. And they either had to cancel their plans or their plans went awry. It's not going to bode well for the election. You know, my fear is that the American public gets so fed up with the system that they stop even coming out to vote. That would be a terrible mistake and a terrible result. We cannot abdicate our responsibility. We've got to get people into office who actually do their work. You know, they all went home for two weeks now from D.C. Now, don't get me wrong. I think congressmen and women have a right to having a life, but you didn't get your job done. You can't go home until you get your job done. This is too important. We're not asking you to, you know, punch a clock, but could you at least stay until you finish something as important as funding an entire department which is devoted to safety? I just, you know, I want us as voters to demand that our leaders do what we're expected to do. I can't not go to work or I can't go to work and not do my work regardless of how I feel about it. So this is just enough. And we better realize that the only thing they're afraid of is losing their jobs. And the only way they lose their jobs, short of censure like we're seeing with the Sheila McCormick, whatever, who has ethics problems up the wazoo and may actually end up being prosecuted for these financial crimes, stealing money from FEMA, using money from... her campaign to buy a diamond ring. I mean, why would we tolerate that kind of behavior in our elected representatives? They should not only be prosecuted for these kinds of crimes. They should be forced to endure embarrassment on television. I don't know. Something has to change.
So we'll see. Airports grappling with the spring break travel surge. It's usually about 5% higher than normal during this spring break travel. Hundreds of ice agents had to go in. The Department of Homeland Security sent them there. to 14 separate U.S. airports last week to aid with the security screening. And the White House has said they're going to stay there. They're going to remain in place until everything at every airport is back to normal. Unbelievable. We are literally, Congress holds the American people hostage. That's not how this is supposed to work. But apparently, if we don't demand that they do their jobs, And they can get away with not doing them. That's exactly what we're going to get. We're getting the government that we deserve. It's sad. It really is. So there was a whole controversy over the weekend about the cancellation of the Palm Sunday procession in Jerusalem. And I don't know where I was listening. I must have been in the car listening on one of the... you know, the cable news stations that's on Sirius. And the way the story sounded when I heard it was that they made it sound like Benjamin Netanyahu canceled the Christian celebration, the Lenton Journey in Jerusalem. which always has been they walk the Via della Rosa and they have a celebration at the Holy Sepulchre and, you know, it's like the passion. I guess they enact. They reenact the passion. But that's not what happened at all because over the weekend I began to read about it and it was canceled, yes, because of the war. between Iran and Israel and the United States, but it was Cardinal Pierre Batista Pizabella.
who put out a statement saying, due to the war, this year we were unable to experience the traditional Lenton journey in Jerusalem with the solemn celebrations at the Holy Sepulchre and the holy places of the passion. Though we were able to pray and prepare personally, we felt the loss of the community journey towards Easter. Now we ask ourselves about the celebrations of Holy Week, the beating heart of our faith. in Jerusalem and at the Holy Sepulchre. The restrictions imposed by the conflict and the events of recent days do not bode well for any imminent improvement. In constant dialogue with the competent authorities, together with other Christian churches, we are evaluating how, in the ways to be agreed upon, we can celebrate the central mystery of our salvation in the heart of our churches. The situation is constantly evolving, and it is not possible to provide definitive indications for the days to come. We will therefore be forced to coordinate on a day-to-day basis. This is what the Cardinal said. It's not what Benjamin Netanyahu said. Although the situation is fluid, the Cardinal emphasized that the Patriot's churches will remain open and that priests as well as other clergy will help others participate in prayer and worship as Easter approaches. The churches of the diocese remain open, parish priests and priests in the forms and ways that are possible shall do everything they can to encourage prayer and the faithful's participation in the celebrations. So you see, the war between Iran against Israel and the United States, this wasn't Israel's decision. This has been going on for 47 years. And whenever people make it sound just like, oh, they had this unbelievably anti-Semitic cartoon in Politico where they had a Benjamin Netanyahu with some like big oversized hook Jewish nose, Donald Trump and some other Republican politicians wearing like all kinds of orthodox Jewish garb and bags of money. But they said it wasn't an anti-Semitic cartoon. Are you kidding me? On what planet would you expect people to believe that? It was classic blood libel, classic. I mean, Beebe's nose, enough. That would have been enough. But instead, there were all these Christian politicians wearing orthodox Jewish garb and bags of money. You can't make this stuff up. You really can't. They do much worse than my imagination. Cardinal Pizabella invited everybody who celebrates Easter in the life of Christ to unify and pray the rosary for peace. Do it. You know, that's what everybody should be doing. This is not about, it's really not about where you go. The journey, or actually I believe, and my pastor always says, revival is in us. It begins with us.
You don't have to be in a particular building. You don't have to be gathered in Jerusalem. It's nice to have those things accessible and available to you, but people need to just get right. That would be a big deal. We're never going to get revival if we're not able personally to get right. And I'll tell you, I look at the way people are behaving these days. Some of the most insane things I have ever seen. And I guess maybe with the advent of the internet, you get to see things that wish you could unsee. There's some stuff that I saw this weekend, like if I could erase it, if I could be like that movie, that Jim Carrey movie where he was able to wipe things out of his memory, I would want to remove some of the images that I saw this weekend. And this is in Western civilization. I cannot imagine what people are subjected to in some other places where they're trying to make you nuts. But now listen to this. Determined to get their own kind of justice, an unrecognized African nation offered a one-word offer to the United States in response to the fact that Representative Ilhan Omar, the Democrat from Minnesota, has been accused of fraud. They came out, and I'm trying to, the community, where is this? The Republic of Somaliland, Somaliland? That happens to not be Somalia. It's on the horn of Africa. It's not controlled by Somalia. But they've offered to the United States, they will take Congresswoman Omar. If you're looking to deport her, just send the princess back to her kingdom. Extradition, say the word. This happened on the Benny Johnson show, which, you know, people who listen to Benny Johnson kind of believe anything. But today on the Benny Johnson show, for the first time they got 100% on the... record confirmation that Representative Omar committed immigration fraud, because lying on your immigration forms is an immediate denaturalization. And the vice president, JD Vance, says that the Department of Homeland Security is exploring enforcement. Can you imagine what that would be like if they actually deported her? Even though there are legitimate grounds. That would be a very dangerous thing to have happened. But then ask me in the next breath if I'm for it or against it, you get a big thumbs up, both hands. The vice president has said he wants the Justice Department to go after her. We think that she committed immigration fraud against the United States. We're trying to look at what the remedies are. What are the legal remedies?
How do you go after a seated congresswoman? How do you investigate her? How do you actually do that? How do you build a case, the kind of case that would be necessary, and get some justice for the American people? A lot of the worst fraudsters that we've seen in years were all in the Somali community in Minnesota. While recognized by Israel, Somaliland is not recognized by the United States, and it's not recognized by Ilhan Omar either. Of course, it's easy to understand why she wouldn't be recognizing them since they're the republic that has not only repeatedly called out the congresswoman for the fraud, but has also said that her late father was a fugitive war criminal. Days before JD Vance went on Benny Johnson's show, Somaliland had tagged the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, and the White House with the question, extradition, question mark, after offering receipts. Ilhan Omar's last name was Elmi before it was changed. This evidence was available, but the Obama Justice Department refused to investigate it. Her brother, Ahmed Nur Sayyad almi. I think that's his whole name. Ahmed Nur Sayed almi. And their father, Nur-Said almi, also known as Nur-Omar, used multiple names across different countries. Part of the family fled to the UK while Ilhan Omar and others entered the U.S. under their father's assumed name, Omar. These name changes and the split identities were actually used to conceal the father's war crimes and his true identity. Somaliland contends that her father participated in the Isak genocide under the dictator Saeed Baray in the late 80s when an estimated 50,000 to 200,000 civilians were massacred in the territory. Think about that. Think about the genocide that has gone on the territory. Think about that. Think about the genocide that has gone on repeatedly over these centuries in these third world African and South American countries. And I got people on the streets of America screaming no kings. Are you kidding me? We don't do things anywhere as horrific as these genocides. I just, it makes me sick. There were people protesting this last weekend who were actually cheering the fact that American soldiers, 14 of them, had died in this military operation so far. One of the speakers who was glorifying Hamas at a rally in Pennsylvania, of all places, these people are so sick. He was begging the audience to...
stay mindful and to cheer the return of American soldiers in body bags on the streets of America in the state of Pennsylvania so bad that John Fetterman has to be reconsidering his party affiliation because he was sickened by this. Anybody should be sickened by that being a war cry in Pennsylvania? on the streets of America, cheering for American soldiers and body, listen, if these aren't protests, these are not protests, these are freak shows. You have to decide if you're going to watch these no kings protests that took place around the country on Saturday. I saw a lot of interviews with the most unhinged people. And I heard somebody written a piece. He said that he saw these interviews too and that there must be a severe Prozac shortage in America. These were lunatics with the multicolored hair. They were paid protesters. They had banners that all looked the same. They had signs. They were dressed up in bizarre costumes. Maybe they should look at a history book. They'd probably have to look at the pictures because they can't read big words. and see what historical protests that actually made a difference and got people to support causes look like. Unbelievable. Anyway, let me take a break. I talk too long in this segment. Let me take a break. You stay right where you are. I'll be right back. I'll tell you, they just go after that Trump family in ways that make no sense to me. Now it's, you know, Melania, the Rolling Stones. Why are the Rolling Stones, an English rock band, have any... grievance with the first lady. It's just stupid. It's just everybody is the Trump derangement stuff does. I don't get it. I just don't get it. Leave it alone. What do you care? Anyway, so this, no kings protest. that back in the 2025, they said there were like four million people there. And then there was one in October of 2025, seven million people there. And now they have news outfits that are saying there were eight to nine million protesters worldwide with over 3,000 different locations this last weekend. I find that not only hard to believe it's impossible, because news sources could not show video footage of large crowds. The crowds were not that large. And you know, I find it fascinating, that they keep saying no kings and we reject authoritarianism. Well, where were they when they had vaccine mandates and mask mandates during the Biden administration?
How come they weren't protesting the authoritarianism? No, nothing. Their big problem is immigration raids. Their big problem is when the National Guard goes into U.S. cities like D.C. and cleans them up from murderers and rapists and all kinds of civil unrest in blue cities, mind you. So here we have an event on March 28th. that now they're complaining that this country, Iran, that has spent 47 years funding terrorism and leading to the deaths of Americans all over the world. Now that's their grievance towards the Trump administration. Yet, when you look at protests that were meaningful and actually accomplished anything, Probably the one that for an American comes to mind is the civil rights movement, right? It got great support from Americans because after years of real Jim Crow laws, not what Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden called Jim Crow 2.0, the rights of African Americans were seriously. in disarray and the protests were peaceful and what they did was they showed the people in the middle of the country that flyover country that they're so resentful of what was going on and people revolted said no no we don't want that no people should not be forced to ride in the back of us and no people should be allowed to vote and no all these things that were wrong when they were shown to be happening to the American people, that protest was so effective. And it impacted the whole country, not just the rights of African Americans, who of course was supposed to be the only beneficiaries, but in fact, women benefited and Hispanics benefited, Asian Americans benefited, because it was a clear example. of something being terribly wrong that Americans could fix. You know? And that's why I look at this, whatever they're calling this, no-kings protest. This stupidest thing I ever heard of, no-kings. If he were a king, you couldn't have a no-kings protest. How about that? Can't have a no-kings protest with kings who could just shut them down. I think back to the freedom riders, the people who were all different races, protested, they challenged discrimination. And the nation got behind the calls for legislation, which eventually became the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Civil rights protesters weren't walking around carrying signs that said no kings. No, they had signs that were meaningful. They had signs that spoke to the heart of the matter. They were engaged in nonviolent protests. They marched peacefully in places where police were unleashing dogs on them. Police were running around with billy clubs in the south. And they had fire hoses that they turned on people who were just marching for a better America. Leaders were able to make speeches like Martin Luther King Jr. I mean, think about the incredible movement.
that the civil rights movement was. All you had to do, really, was show what the discriminatory and racist laws that existed, that disenfranchised blacks Americans, all you had to do is show them to the people. And there have been a lot of protests throughout this nation's history. When you get angry at policies in America, you protest. In 1932, Americans assembled in what was called the bonus march because the federal government wasn't making good on promises to veterans. You had the suffragette movement. How do you think women got the right to vote? I haven't, you know, ever looked that hard at the photographs and the cameras, the video. They weren't, I don't know what you call it, film. of the suffragette movement, but I don't remember seeing them dressed up in pink pussycat hats or, you know, vagina costumes to get sympathy for their cause. And then you look at these no kings protested where they show up in these stupid costumes and they shout this hyperbolic rhetoric and they don't have any meaning, no substance. They initiate violence against law enforcement officers. And these officers weren't knocking them down with fire hoses. They didn't have dogs unleashed on them. They weren't hit with billy clubs. But the people who were and who withstood that. horrendous treatment, they got, legislation passed. The very label No Kings tells me that they really, they're just mental cases. Because again, if President Trump were a king, he could end this all right away. Arrest everybody who assembles at these protests, you know, call martial law and put an end to it all. Because these protests look like a circus. They don't look like a real call for action. I don't know what you're supposed to do at the end of one of these protests. Drink a latte? I don't know. They never call for any meaningful action. And I don't see a violence initiated against them. Believe me, if there was a king, there would be violence against these clowns. People walking around. I saw people walking around in animal costumes. What is that? What does that got to do with what they're protesting? They don't even know what they're protesting. I could be wrong. But I find it hard to believe that many rational Americans would support a cause where people are dressed up in inflatable bird costumes. You know, this hard left turn that the progressives have made, these fights that they have chosen to unleash on America? It is their constitutional right to do it, but you have to question their reasoning. What are their motives? Their ulterior motives. Who's funding this? I saw today that they're coming down now and finding out where the money's coming from. These look like temper tantrums. The people who have the TDS are having temper tantrums in the street.
This is how they choose to use their valuable time in the pursuit of what they believe is the most fundamental issue, you know, that we don't want to have a dictatorship in this country. Look, there's no administration that's not going to have detractors who detests the policies that any sitting president makes. That's as American as apple pie. It's like shooting fireworks off on July 4th. But it appears that no kings is more of a protest of a man than of an issue that threatens us. It's driven by an educational system that has indoctrinated our young people to believe socialism is the path to economic equality, even though we have a lot of evidence to the contrary. We got a media filled with leftist journalists who support stories that make conservatives look terrible. They hide any negative stories about the people, the groups that they protect, and then gets egged on by politicians whose only goal is to stay in office. Self-preservation. exacerbated by the wealthy celebrity hypocrites who can only, you know, the only time they say anything brilliant is when some scriptwriter wrote it for them. They don't have the mental acumen to put together a cogent thought. Where were the protests when our national debt hit $39 trillion? Where were the protests when millions of unvetted illegal immigrants crossed the border and took over cities? Where were the protests when communities were overrun by individuals from other nations who gave us the likes of Rashida Tlaib Taliban in Congress? Where were the protests when illegals murdered American citizens? Aren't those issues worthy of protesting? But where are the banners condemning those things that actually do threaten the American way of life? You know, the current population of this country is about 350 million people. And if you believe anything they've said, the high number they said is somewhere between 8 and 9 million people were involved in these protests. which is approximately 2.5% of the population, which means that 97.5% of Americans don't think these issues are even important enough to put on their chicken costumes and hold signs that are misspelled to protest a king that doesn't exist. Maybe those Americans who decided to stay home have other concerns, have issues that really are more important, or perhaps they just don't want to be associated with these mentally unbalanced people out there on the street. I mean, if you looked at some of those crazed, they were crazed, crazed people. You would have to say, no, I have to go to work on Monday. I'm not doing that.
Anyway, don't forget, coming up after me is Guy Benson, followed by Will Kane. Then it's Joe Pags, Lars Larson, The Overnight Guys. 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, Jennifer Ross and Stephen Diner will be back with the South Florida Morning Show, followed at 9 by Brian Kilmeade at noon by Eric Erickson, and I get to come back at 3 p.m. Still have a segment left in today's program, so don't touch that dial. So I'm looking at this story about some new highly mutated COVID variant called cicada, which is a insect name. I guess they named it after the inset. And they say it's spreading in at least 25 states per the CDC, and one of them is Florida. It's not fueling enough cases to be added to the CDC's variant proportion tracker. However, the latest data from wastewater scan, which is, they come out of Stanford University and track diseases, it has been detected in almost 4% of sewage samples nationwide. I don't know. It doesn't tell me, though, what the symptoms are, but it's apparently, oh, here we go, here the symptoms. Cough. Cough. fever or chills, sore throat, congestion, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, fatigue, headache, gastrointestinal symptoms. Symptoms can vary depending on the person but usually go away on their own with supportive care. The variant is still sensitive to COVID antiviral drugs. And the vaccines don't protect against it. I don't know. You know, every now and again, I think they'd just like to scare us again. So they'll write a news story. If you haven't been vaccinated or if you haven't been infected with COVID in the last six to 12 months, it's worth talking to your doctor about whether a booster is right for you. They never stop. They won't give up. In the meantime, you can still protect yourself and others by testing if you have symptoms. Stay home when you're sick and wear a mask in indoor settings. I mean, really. I do see people in masks. This weekend, I visited a hospital, and a lot of people in there were wearing masks. But I guess in a hospital, that's kind of more understandable than out here in the streets. Vaccination is important. Right away, that's the big line in every article that I've pulled up in the last 48 hours about this. Vaccine, vaccine. They won't stop. But where are they protesting, mandating vaccines? You don't hear that, do you? Well, listen to this. Here's a strange story, but I like to throw in a couple of strange stories. If you listen to the new No Restraint podcast, which will be out at some point today or tomorrow, I tell the story of the first at home pregnancy test at the end of the podcast, which is very interesting. My friend Mel had sent it to me, and I had never heard the story, so I did share that. I talk about a few subjects there. But...
Listen to this. The composer of the Lion King song, you know, the opening song of the movie or the play The Lion King, few members of the original American audience were likely able to discern what South African composer was singing in Zulu as he belted out. I can't even say it. Natsinganyama Bariti Baba. So what happened was a comedian by the name of Learn More Jonasi, got just got hit with a $27 million lawsuit alleging that the humor of his act, I guess. And they call him here, this is where it gets great. A Disney vocalist eight-figure lawsuit over a joke about famed lyrics found the humor lost in translation as the comedian was accused of being a self-hating black man.
Now in the wake of a joke that the lyrics from the circle of life translated to, look, there's a lion. Oh my God. Zimbabwean comedian Learn More Janasi faces a $27 million lawsuit. alleging that the humor will hurt his continued royalties. When this man first approached me, he approached me with the attitude of saying that I am disrespecting his work, right? And I was like, no, actually I'm a big fan of yours. I actually love the song. And therefore, this was just a joke. And comedy has always had a way of starting a conversation. So I told them that this is the... comedian, Jonasi. I told him this. This is now your chance to educate people because now people are listening. And the comedian went on to share a video from a performance at a laugh factory where he got served with this lawsuit on stage. And he was forced to explain to the audience that it wasn't part of the bit. He shared a clip of his interview where he initially made the joke and later quipped over the development. I now have a gluten allergy, anxiety. I got served. I'm now American. According to his own translation of the lyrics, the Zulu words mean all hail the king, we all bow in the presence of the king. Jonasi went on to claim in his social media post that the composer accused him of being a self-hating black man and an idiot. Leading him to conclude, I realize I'm not actually having a conversation with someone who wants to have a conversation. The person is literally not attacking the joke, but my character. Meanwhile, the suit claims the joke has caused a negative impact on his royalties and his reputation. Really? None of us ever heard this before. How would that affect? Is anybody going to stop listening to the Circle of Life song? First and foremost, who listens to that song anymore? It's 2026. Learn more? Oh, God. You can't make this stuff up, but we've just gone off the deep end. Not just here, but in Somali Lili land, or whatever that little nation in Africa, is now calling itself and offering to take back the deported Ilhan Omar, should that come to pass. The world has gone plum loco. And there is definitely a shortage of the kind of... what you would call it, medications that are necessary for people who would actually dress up in an inflatable chicken suit and carry a sign saying no kings on the streets of America.
While protesting, a war that has nothing to do with what they were originally out there protesting. I just, you know, I think that they basically are going to have to fly those airplanes with the, you know. spray and just spray us all down. Thank you for your time this time until next time. I plan on being back here tomorrow at three if it be his will and he delays his coming. What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. So wherever you are, just be yourself. Everybody else is taken. And then God bless you. God bless Israel and God bless the USA and the circle of life. This has been the Joyce Kaufman podcast.
