I'm honored to serve you. I'm Michael. Jeffrey's got the sound. Red's got the content. And we got you on Talk Back here in a moment. Four people in the United Kingdom have been arrested after photos of President Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were projected onto Windsor Castle. FBI director Kash Patel says there's no credible information that Jeffrey Epstein.

trafficked women to anyone besides himself, and the Fed is expected to cut interest rates today by at least a quarter. Well, the man charged with the murder of Charlie Kirk made his first court appearance. Your morning show national correspondent, Rory O'Neill, with the very latest on this investigation. Good morning, Rory. Yeah, good morning, Michael. The court appearance itself was pretty basic, not that interesting as the, it was a video link up from the jail to the courthouse. But the press conference that happened an hour or two before that hearing, that revealed. awful lot of information about just how much evidence has been collected in the past week, really starting to put together a timeline of events that was pretty understandable. And there's the physical evidence with DNA, but also so much digital evidence with what appear to be confessions between the suspect and his lover. And then even we saw notes that the mom was fully aware, you know, she recognized her son on those videos and that in some ways started the ball rolling on getting him to surrender. So let's start with the text exchange. It shows planning, and he comes right out and says about a week. It shows planning and intent and premeditation. The lover asks him, wait, they got a guy in custody. Are you saying, no, I did it. That's just some crazy nut they picked up. So you have confession. You got DNA on the trigger itself. You've got all the video evidence. You've got the confession. on Discord. I mean, and Roy, I said this earlier, you know, you only have to present enough to present the charges, you know, and get the court ball rolling. There might be even more significant evidence than this, that they haven't even laid out yet, and this looks overwhelming. Indeed. And as I said, both in the physical evidence that you mentioned and in the digital evidence that's out there as well. But by the way, and just a heads up, don't expect the prosecution to talk about this case again, not until the verdict is reached. They're not going to release information like this, especially not along the way. They'll say, look, we're going to save it for the trial. And so, you know, this really is the most we're going to hear from the prosecution. Which is what I was. Which is what I was trying to communicate. You know, in other words, yesterday we knew the confession on Discord. That's nothing compared to the full text message exchange that we received yesterday. I mean, what else is coming forward once the trial starts in evidence or gets lived in discovery? And then what the feds now are probably going to focus more on is we saw in the messages that apparently this guy started to have a shift in political views two or three years ago, but really went off the deep end in the past year. And they'll want to look into, well, wait, how did that happen? Was there a group behind it? It was someone funding it. So I think from the FBI and the Justice Department standpoint, they want to see who was.

if anyone else was manipulating this man and trying to turn him toward this path of violence and what funding may be behind there. So they're going to go down that rabbit hole. But it looks like from a Utah prosecution standpoint, they've already got this thing pretty buckled down in just a week's time. And the burden you need for capital punishment, all but seems laid out already without any further evidence. Right. Those aggravating factors. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, all of that. Five charges, aggravated murder, that'll face capital punishment, felony charges of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice, two counts, witness tampering two counts, commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child. I guess the letter is the one thing that we don't have complete clarity. Right. The appearance is that he had left a letter, which if he did, wouldn't his lover have known prior? to the text exchange. Then that letter was destroyed and then later recovered the picture of it. So, I mean, there's some things that, you know, need some dusting out, but that's what the trial is for. It's not perfect. But, and just, we also haven't heard from the defense here. The court has, they're working to appoint a defense attorney for this guy, you know, whether or not we go down the mental, if there's an insanity plea, if we start going down that route. But we also have not heard from the defense. So there's another court hearing on the 29th. They hope to have a lawyer for him by them. Roy O'Neill, great reporting as always. He'll be back in the third hour. I think one interesting note. I choose to do this without Roy because I don't want to put Roy in this position. But in the case of the Trump first assassin, he's taken out by a sniper. In the case of many mass shootings, they then kill themselves. Don't even want to suggest it's a silver lining. But in the case of Minneapolis and in the case of Tyler Robinson, there's really... No doubt as to what the motive is. They make it crystal clear. In the case of Minneapolis, what was etched on the weapon, what was etched on the ammunition, in the case of Tyler Robinson and the Charlie Kirk assassination, what was etched on the weapon, what was etched in the ammunition, what was texted, what was confessed on discord. It leaves no doubt whatsoever. To timeline, to motive. The 20-minute video of the Minneapolis shooter left no question. Really, the only question left was, was this a very mentally ill individual? Was this a demonic possessed individual? But at the root of it was transgenderism. And what we do know is he felt duped. And he didn't want to live anymore. He was an unhappy transgender. And for some reason, wanted to take it out on innocent children. We talked about this yesterday. Perhaps. We get Freudian. But he was once an innocent child. Having a happy life and felt indoctrinated and duped into being transgender. Duped was his word.

and wanted to take it out on what he once was, innocent children. But he left no doubt, even though he took his life, he left no doubt with all the evidence he left behind. In the case of Tyler Robinson, he's still here. We have his letter. We have his texts. We have his confessions. So we did a piece of research yesterday. 60% of the American people think this kid was MAGA. There were people on. left cable networks. Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Kimmel gets the award, right? Jimmy Kimmel goes on late night and makes jokes about how they're trying to distance this from being a MAGA shooter. This is when a MAGA is killing their own. Does he apologize? Does he get fired? Does he resign in shame? What was on, it was a look on Jimmy Kimball's face? Are everybody on the left playing tug of war with a simple right and wrong situation? Because their narratives all got shot down. And that's just the preliminary evidence to meet the burden of trial.

Do I read you the entire text exchange in case you missed the news conference? I mean, we can. But it's a, I mean, there was actually, was it CNN? No, it was ABC. ABC had a reporter. Even presented with this crystal clear fantastic evidence of motive. He illuminates everything. From how his politics have changed. He even mocks his father, who since Trump took office is becoming increasingly MAGA. He makes it crystal clear he's not MAGA. He makes it crystal clear he's driven by transgendered love and hated for anybody that opposes it. And some hate is so great, you can't negotiate with it. You must kill it. That's what he tells his lover. There's no room to fight on any narrative hills any longer. In the case of the Minneapolis shooter and the Charlie Kirk assassin, they make it crystal clear who they were, why they were, what they did, why they did it. And now we fight over what motivated it. And not discussed very much, and it will pop up, I'm sure, is the state of mental illness. And what happens when a psychiatric community and a culture. wants to change its mind about something for woke's sake, political correctness sake, and affirm such behavior. And then wonder when that behavior backfires what caused it. Or as I said, two things really just kind of describe where I'm at right now. And it's not a great place. We had a furry. who killed a godly man who was always tolerant, respectful, and just trying to get America to talk again. In other words, he was busy being the solution. And now we have a furry in love with the transgendered, killing him. A 71-year-old who first claimed to kill him that was taken into custody was apparently a nut, got treatment at the hospital, then admitted he didn't kill him, and then on his phone, the police find child porn. It makes me afraid of what's next. Or how about yesterday? Three assassins, all in the news. You had Tyler Robinson in court appearing via streaming. Luigi Mangione, who killed the CEO of United Healthcare. And Ryan Ruth, the second assassin of Donald Trump. I mean, seriously. My father used to say, how much can a fly eat? And now there's a tug of war or who's going to get Charlie Kirk's empty chair? I want to know how Charlie Kirk became such a political football. And how I'm supposed to celebrate now, okay, in this time of great violence, a president whose life has been trying to be taken twice is going to appear in one place with the vice president, with the secretary of state, all three planning to speak on stage. And I'm wondering who the designated survivor is. And how wise this is.

Then you added that, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. Susie Wiles, the chief of staff, Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defense, an advisor to the president, Stephen Miller. Donald Trump Jr., son of the president, Tucker Carlson. Oh, yeah, and his wife gets to speak. It looks more like a Republican convention, so we're getting your talkbacks as well. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin Tyler Robinson being held without bond in Utah. Authorities say the Utah man who was arrested just after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, he fell medically ill, was taken to the hospital. Then once he fell better, said, oh, no, I didn't do it. Police asked to see his phone. Then he gets arrested for child porn. These stories just keep coming in. The Fed is expected to cut interest rates by a quarter today. We'll have more on that with John Decker and the president is in the UK. And boy, it got heated. And sounds of the day you'll hear Kash Patel go at it with with a Democrat senator. And, yeah, the concern is, is the life.

and the body of Charlie Kirk becoming a political football. And is our attention getting further and further away from a God who can heal this country and more towards further political divide? I don't know where Gary's from. We normally do the from. Yeah, we got to tell you at WLAC in Nashville. Oh, Gary's WALAC. We've got psychologists that can't call this what it really is. It's a bunch of dead gum nut cases that have been infiltrated, our government, and our social welfare system. To St. Louis and the Patriot, we go. Hey, Michael, maybe the polls should ask the people how they feel about assassination or murder of a political figure instead of just the death of a political figure. I don't know what particular research. The research that I went over was asking Americans specifically about political violence. Rodney, it's the final say. I think you're spot on about Charlie Kurt's faith. We're losing focus on what he really stood for. Christ being the answer there, and I think we as a nation really need to turn back. Yeah, we were just discussing the... The political matrix divide in our country, and now it's turned into a tug-of-war over Charlie's life. Was he hate? Was he a martyr? The left says that. The right says martyr, divisions on the far right over who should fill his chair and take over his mission. Well, they certainly impressed President Trump as well as First Lady Melania Trump. This is the second time that they are being honored with this state visit. First time, of course, was in 2019. And that was, of course, when Queen Elizabeth II welcomed the president to, at the time, Buckingham Palace. This is at Windsor Castle. And the president will spend the entire day there finishing out with the lavish state dinner at Windsor Castle. You know, I'm watching this one carriage with Trump. I don't know if you're watching, but is that, I don't think that's Charles with the president. I think it's the prince, right? I'm watching it. And the angle that I have is sort of from behind. So I can't really tell who's with President Trump. But that would not be surprising to me in the sense that the prince and princess of Wales were initially welcoming President Trump and the first lady to Windsor Castle. Yeah, there are five carriages, I believe, in all. And they have arrived at Windsor Castle, and it is just breathtaking. All right, we are expecting interest rate cuts today. The question is, how big? And then how many more are to follow before the end of the year? Yeah, the expectation is a quarter point interest rate cut by the Fed, as they conclude their two-day meeting. And then the big question is, do they lower interest rates two more times? They meet once more in October, another time in December. They do not meet in November. So that's the big question that the markets will be looking at is whether or not the Fed continues these interest rate cuts through the remainder of 2025. This is something the president's been pushing for and felt like it should have happened a long time ago. Here's the tug of war on this one. There are some and... This is probably opinion, but kind of uncertainty created by tariffs that kind of make inflation look like it's not necessarily stable. The other side is we had to adjust jobs, 900,000 plus from the Biden administration's projections. Therefore, that's a lot of new real information for this board to act on. So one looks like they will lower even more. in October, December, and one says they may have a little bit of a wait and see of how these cuts are playing out. Is that a pretty good read? Well, it is. You know, I think they want to see the impact of an interest rate cut that happens today. They also want to see what happens as far as the employment picture is concerned in the months that follow. You know, are we going to see this slowdown that we've seen over the course of the summer, including last month, in terms of jobs creation in the U.S. If that continues, then maybe we do continue to see.

further interest rate cuts between now and the end of 2025, perhaps two more during their next two meetings. All right, John Decker, White House correspondent joining us. The president has made this a centerpiece of his plan. Why is this so important to the president? What will these cuts mean to him? Well, it's important because he believes that the one sector of the U.S. economy that has not really seen the kind of growth that we've seen in other sectors of the economy is the housing market. And by cutting interest rates, it would have a trickle-down effect on mortgage rates. And that could in turn lead to refinancings. It could also lead to an increase in home buying across the country, spurring that sector of the economy and helping out the overall U.S. economy. going forward. So that's the reason why the president has really been pushing for interest rates over the course of the past few months. I talked about this with Rory yesterday, but there's a lot of people that were paying for inflation with high interest credit card. And then they were using the equity in their home because they certainly couldn't sell it. Yeah, you'd get top dollar for it, but then you'd go pay higher dollar at a higher interest rate for something new. So that kind of squeezed in the inventory. A lot of those people have now turned to... HELOCs or second mortgages. And they're going to be interested in refinancing when the number the mortgage rate gets to a certain point. I don't think it's high fives, but if it gets to low fives or high fours, then I think you really see the movement that they're looking for. But nobody seems to know what that magic number is. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe the Fed chairman has an idea. Maybe other Fed governors have an idea about what the magic number is. But, you know, it's really there's no expert on this. You know, you really do have to gauge what the impact of interest rate cuts will be on the overall economy, the global economy as well. And that's what the Fed's job is. That's what their purpose is. And as a result, you know, I think it's important to see what Jerome Powell's remarks are. after he likely will announce this interest rate cut today at 2 p.m. Eastern time. You know, it seems like after debates, we have open spin rooms, unapologetic spin rooms. You never get that with John. You want to know the very latest in the White House reaction to the very latest. There's a good reason why politically.

So yesterday, Harry Hinton lays out how 18 to 24-year-olds, 34% voted for Trump in 2016, 31% in 2020, 43% in 2024. Make no mistake about it. Democrats have been using out-of-state, in-state students on campuses to swing elections. And Charlie Kirk changed that. And he delivered the young vote. Now, they were already struggling with a bad candidate. They're already struggling with a very divided party, unenergized party. Heck, the socialist Democrats are trying to take over the party. They had lost in hemorrhage, black vote, and they had lost the voting block of Hispanic votes. This was just the knockout blow. Charlie Kirk was a big deal. because he delivered big election results. And the right wants to keep that for the midterms in the 2028s, and the left wants to seize that back.

Ever, ever, ever compare anyone to Hitler. If not, go online and you can read up on exactly what he's responsible for. You know, 75 to 80 million lives lost in World War II. And you don't compare him to anyone. And if you do, then you will incite somebody to say, well, now I feel like I have to stop that and take them out. People have seemed to forgotten that the president took a shot to the head. Can you imagine if that shot would have gone the way Charlie Kirk's one and what kind of condition our nation would be in? This is such a dangerous time right now. And now why? You don't need this an opportunity to share your opinions on it. Just, again, it's appalling and allow folks enough space to grieve. The man hasn't even buried yet. And it's like that's why we wanted to have a conversation that we have to find a way to work together. It seems like I'm always constantly having a love fest with Senator John Fetterman. He just continually shines verbally in the courtroom of public opinion. It was nice for me to finally hear somebody say what I'm feeling. No, we can't continue to fight this way. We need to return to being a united country, Americans first. It's okay to have disagreements, significant disagreements. It's not okay to name call and it's not okay to shoot. That should be obvious. But Senator John Fetterman was the first one to basically say, this guy hasn't even been dead a week. He all but said, where's our funeral etiquette?

But can't we stay focused on him? celebrate his life, pray for his wife and children, his mother and father, be respectful. Can't we stay in mourning? This is already a food fight, a free-for-all. It's always tough to be Scott Jennings. have four women attacking you at once, but here's how their exchange went yesterday after the revealing text messages were read in court. So why is it acceptable to use this moment to argue that somebody, a sick individual who committed a horrific crime is somehow... Are you here to argue for his sanity? I'm here to argue. All I know was what the prosecutor said today. He read very lucid messages from a shooter who was motivated by political hate, who had a plan to get away with it. He did not sound like a deranged person. He sounded like someone who had decided to take it upon himself to rid the world of someone that he hated. politically, that he thought that the world would be better off without that. That's different than some deranged living showing up off the street. His actions were horrific. But to assign, to assign the specific hateful, violent, awful actions of somebody on an individual on the right or an individual on the left. I don't know that you're right about what happened in Minnesota. I'm incredibly dangerous and irresponsible in this moment. Well, I think it's dangerous and irresponsible. For nobody to take responsibility for 10 years of the use of the language, fascism, Nazi, authoritarian, so on and so forth. It's on the bullet case. I have seen nothing but Democrats in the wake of this murder saying that it was awful. You see nothing? I have seen them. Literally nothing? Elected Democrats, I have seen them saying nothing, but it was horrific that they condemn it, that they are sorry for his family, that this is an awful moment in the country. Well, that's not why. Ilhan Omar is being censured today. I'll remind her. She's seen nothing. I will say something. It ends with another woman. I don't remember what her name was reading this out of context in his defense. But relatable quote. And of course, it was from Scott Jennings after another shot. And again, you can go too far or go too far too fast. Just for your sake and my sake, let me make it clear to my audience. Even more so after yesterday, Tyler Robinson killed Charlie Kirk. Tyler Robinson has been charged with aggravated murder and will face the death sentence. Now, there's some other things to discuss in an unhealthy country. That's the one who did it. Careful.
