Hi, it's me, Michael. Your morning show can be heard live daily on great radio stations like News Radio 650, K-E-N-I, Anchorage, Alaska, Talk Radio 1190, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Freedom 104-7 in Washington, D.C. We'd love to have you listen live every day and make us a part of your morning routine. But better late than never, enjoy the podcast. A new way of talk, a new way of understanding. Because we're in this together. This is your morning show. with Michael Dell Jr. Now listen, I'll correct Red every day. I'll correct Jeffrey every day. I don't like to correct Mike McCann, but I like to think of us as starting your morning and your weekend off right. At seven minutes after the hour, it's not Friday until it's Friday with 47. As we like to say, It's not really the weekend until it's Friday with 47. Hail to the Chief. He's the one we all say hail to Mr. President. Good morning. Well, it's a tremendous morning for you. It's a tremendous morning for our country, right? It's a beautiful day. And I hope you're doing well. I really hope you're doing well. I think your ratings are doing well. Only on Friday. But I'll also say this too, by the way, happy pride month. Donna says hello, right? Donna says hello. You don't want to. Did he say, sir? you don't want to. I said, it's not sure. It's ma'am. My name's Donna. By the way, a lot of new listeners in new cities, they don't know what Donna is, but you have an alter ego. And at any time, you may, you may dawn a dress. I'll tell you what. The Democrats started this madness. You can be whatever you identify as. In 2028, I'm running for president again as Donald Trump. And there's nothing they can do about it, right? Nothing they can do about it. I've got an old trampoline in the backyard. It's, it might be time to get, you know, there are things in my backyard. I go, do I save them for the grandchildren or get rid of them? You have a giant skyscraper. uh, MMA ring in the back of the White House. And you're thinking about making it permanent. Well, we may do that because, uh, the next time I have a problem with somebody, I'm going to take them in there and beat the hell out of them. Think of that. You know, you can do it. Well, we could have Scott percent who was going to do it. He said he was going to, uh, do a couple of nasty things to Bill Pulte, but they got it, they got, uh, they got back together like me and baby, right? You think about it. I mean, I call them baby, right? I don't call him Bobby. You call him BB. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Bobby, and I call Benjamin Netanyahu BB, right? These are two different names, but two different people. But you look at the UFC ring and the White House, it's going to be beautiful. You look at it, it's going to be beautiful. We may leave it up. and we may bring back trial by combat. Think about it. We may bring back trial by combat. I win all the trials, if that's the case, all of them. That's what I'm afraid of. No, we're looking at it. We're looking at it. And we're looking at doing a bunch of things. We're looking at leaving it. You know, you don't want the ballroom. You're going to have a fighting ring on the Great Law. You know, we're renaming it, by the way. We're renaming it the greatest law, not the Great Law, the Great Law, the Greatest.
The greatest law of all the time. Oh, sure. That's a beautiful law, and I have to tell you that, it's so beautiful. I guess this just really captured everybody's attention. There was some yelling, there was some screaming, there was some quoting, and then yesterday or the day before, you had to come out and just admit, yeah, I called Be Crazy. But, I mean, I shared a personal story about somebody I used to work with. I used to scare my wife. We'd get in these heated conversations. But they always ended with, I love you, goodbye, see you tomorrow. Your contention is that, yeah, you guys have been, you know, fighting a war together, and you have tense moments, but there's no question who side each other's on? Well, and we're both fighting a very nasty enemy. You look at Iran, you look at these crazy people. These are a lot of crazy people out there, and they're not nice people. We want to take care of those people. We want to take them out. You look at it, we want to take them out. You know, now that Katie Porter lost in California. We could drop her back on Iran, right? She lost. It's a big lady, right? She may also wind up on the view. I call it the zoo, bickering bovinds, right? You look at that. They may add another cow in Katie Porter to this staff. We'll see what happens. But now you look at Benjamin Netanyahu. I get along very well with him. And I called him crazy because he was acting crazy. But he ended the phone call with, as you said, we love you goodbye. We get along very well. We get along very well with Benjamin Netanyahu and Bobby, but we get along very well with BV, and I call them Benjamin Netanyahu, you're tremendous person. And we're going to take care of these Iranian crazy people. They're very crazy. And, you know, we're doing things that a lot of people would never have done, but they will never have a nuclear weapon. That much I can tell you, despite D.B.'s craziness, they're never going to have a nuclear weapon. Yeah, a lot of missiles have been flying at a time of ceasefire, and yet you're still convinced you can get a peace agreement. America's ready for peace agreement or not. And there are a lot of people nervous that this could impact the midterm elections, but you're still doing things based on the ground, and you're still optimistic and get a peace deal. We're going to get a deal. We're going to get a beautiful deal. And it may take a little longer than we want, but we're going to get a beautiful deal. Friday's with 47. Let's turn to, I know your favorite governor in New York, Kathy Hochul, who is questioning that you're actually really a New York Knickerbocker fan. She said, I'd just like to see him name three or four actual players on the NBA championship team in 1993. And, of course, they won in 73. What do you think of? of the governor Kathy Hochul criticizing you on your support for the Knicks. Well, I think the governor, Kathy Hochul, is a very stupid person. Are we allowed to say that? I think we did say that. You just did. She's a stupid person. We call her the bucktooth, Botox Bandit of Buffalo. Think about it. And she's a very nasty person. Bucktooth, Botox Bandit of Buffalo. And very stupid. You look at her. There hasn't been a day that's gone by where she hasn't looked in the mirror and saw a stupid person looking back at her. Think about it. The Knicks didn't win a championship in 1993. You want to know what? Because I wasn't the president. That's why. If I was your president, then excuse me, if I was the president, then they were to won. You look at Jalen Brunson. You look at Carl Anthony Taz. I call him Kat. K-A-T. He's a beautiful cat.
He's a beautiful cat. Carl Anthony Towns is playing very well in the finals. And you look at the Knicks. They're doing very well in the finals. But Kathy Oakle thought she was going to get me. We're going to get him. She said, sir, we're going to get him, sir. And she said the Knicks won the championship in 1993. It never happened. It didn't happen. And she thought it happened, but it didn't happen. In 1973, and the only reason they won in 73 is because I was rooting them on. I was a big, beautiful Knicks fan. But you look at the way that franchise has been run over the course of the last few decades, it's horrible. But they're in the finals, and they're doing very well. And, you know, we're making the Knicks great again. You look at Jaylon Brunson, you look at Mitchell Robinson, great guy. Carl Anthony Towns, great guy. Mike Brown, the head coach, fantastic guy. You can name them all! They're all doing a tremendous job. They're doing a great job, Pizza Boy, I have to say that they're doing a fantastic job. Michael Bridges, we love it, Bridges and Power Plant Day, but he's doing a great job over there with the Knicks, and hopefully they bring it home. The Bucktooth Botox Bandit of Buffalo can be quiet. She could shove a sock in it, right? Someone's going to tell her, ma'am, stop talking. Because every time she opens her mouth, she says something very stupid. Bucktooth, Botox Bandit from Buffalo that you call stupid. Don, of course, would just call her Bobby. All right. Are you pleased with the way things are looking in California? I know you're frustrated. I issued a severe... shenanigans watch in effect, meaning conditions are favorable for shenanigans. After all, they could be counting these votes for who knows how long. Well, you look at California, that's the Latin word for shenanigans, right? You think about it. Shenanigans. You look at California in the dictionary, you get shenanigans. It's always with the funny business, except it's not very funny because they're playing games with our elections. We can't have that. And I don't know if the reason why they're counting very slow, you know, they count very slow. I don't know if the reasons why they're doing that is because they're all stupid people like the Somalis in Minnesota. Did they get their degree from the Leering Center? Did that why they have to count slow? Or is it because they're playing games? I think it's a mixture of both. I think these are very stupid people, very challenged people. The map is not very good. You know, they have to count one at a time, and they're doing it very slowly. But they're also playing games. I love your severe shenanigans watch. I think we're going to upgrade that. But severe synanagan's warning. Warning. And then if it gets really crazy, we say it's a severe shenanigans emergency. And you have to watch out. But, you know, I do very, I'm one of the greatest meteorologists in weather people. You look at weather. Yeah. I'm one of the greatest in the history of the world. And you look at last year, speaking of the weather, after we renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, Pizza Boy, did you know that we had zero hurricanes in the Gulf? Never would have happened if I was an elected president. We're never going to have a hurricane again. We're keeping them out. We're deporting them. You know, you look at El Niño, you look at Lanino. We deported them. We deported them. El Niño and La Nina got.
God. Send them back to the country on the Trumpapult. So they're out, but we did a tremendous job. Closing moments Friday with 47, Graham Platner, and I really think this could go Anthony Weiner any day. That seems like the movie, the campaign. I mean, you know, this guy's got swastikas, now sexting, who knows what's next. He moves forward. We have a terrorist. character witness who wins in New Jersey. I mean, can just anybody get elected? Well, you look at the Democrat Party picture, boy, these are crazy people. You look at Graham Platner. Everybody wants to make a big deal out of my mean tweets. Remember mean tweets? Oh, yeah. He sent some very interesting texts. I would never do that. I would never send a text like that. But a nasty guy, Nazi tattoo. You look at James Talarico. He calls women his neighbors with a uterus, right? The last time I called one of my neighbors somebody with a uterus. I was talking about the Prime Minister of Canada. Right? Think about it. Arnie and Trudeau, those women are crazy. I have to say that. And the president of France, too, also has a uterus, Emmanuel Macron. But you look at James Talarico, you look at the terrorists in New Jersey, you look at Graham Platner. Abu Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan. These are crazy people. Pizza boy crazy. They're crazier than you when you interrupt me, which is something you don't do that much anymore because we're trying to give you a picture of the house. We don't want you to do that. You better stop doing that. I do want the exclusive interview with Donna. If you keep doing that, you're going to go, excuse me, if you, excuse me, if you keep doing that, you're going to go the way of Scott Kelly. CBS, you're going to get fired. We don't want to see that happen. Now, the Democrats are running a bunch of crazy people. That much I can tell you. All right, that wasn't me. That's Jeffrey rushing you there with the sound effect. He doesn't get threatened. All right, there you have it. Friday with 47, hail to the chief. He's the one we all say hail to. He has the power because it takes a shower, and he's got an MMA ring in the backyard. Mr. President, thank you so much for your time. Thank you, Pizza Boy. You better watch it, Jeffrey. You better watch it. Hey, pizza boy. Stop picking on Jeffrey. You mess with the bull. You'll get the horns, Jeffrey. You rushed off the president for crying all. Well, that was for something completely different. 19 minutes after the hour. It's now officially Friday. That's Friday with 47 for this Friday, June the 5th. Top 5 stories are next. Here's something that should make you angry, quite frankly. Data brokers don't just sell your address or your phone number. They're selling your beliefs, your political views, your religious affiliations, your charitable giving, your entire family structure. It's all packaged up and sold to political operatives. Activist organizations, corporations, all who want to target you because of what you believe and how you live. Well, in America, man's faith and family should be his own business. And that's where Incogni comes in. They fight back on your behalf. They contact hundreds and hundreds of these data brokers and legally demand they take your information down and then they stay after them because they don't stop trying to re put it back up. You can't get scammed. You can't get spammed. You can't get classified or abused if you can't be found.

I'm not saying there's damages, and I know I didn't copyright it, but I'm just thinking, maybe we could just sue for a thank you or something, some kind of an acknowledgement. Hello. I see what you can do. Oh, you're talking. Yeah. No, the show's back. I got to go. Hello, too, bye. Who is that? John Morgan from Morgan and Morgan. I just been notified that Ainsley. Earhart, Fox and Friends, has a new child book out called I'm So Glad You Were Born. Now this goes with Red told me the other night. Holy Smoke. Yeah, Red told me the other night that Gutfeld was talking about shenanigans in California. I'm beginning to think they do listen over there. They've got to. America. I'm so glad you were born by Ainsley. That is plagiarism. I think one of you two should get her on the show. Let's find out if in fact. Sean talked about the morning show. She listened one day to the podcast. What could happen? Love that line. Whatever it is, I just, you know. Look, I like the people are stealing. Just give a little credit where credits do. I mean, what's the next children book is going to be called? They're going to steal from Hannah and Wilmington, Delaware for the next book. I hope that gentleman said to that lady next door, well, that's because I am. Well, that's because I am, the new children's book by Fox News. All right, if you love Fridays with 47, that is Sean Nigel Farage. He is just a scream. and a great human being. If you go to Farash, F-A-R-A-S-H, Farash Media.com, that's where you can get him to do messages for friends of yours. And kind of like our Friday feature. They really will think it's him. Graham Platner is denying allegations from all the ex-girlfriends that are coming forward of abuse and toxicity, including physical abuse. Mark Mayfield has more. The New York Times interviewed several women who recounted various episodes with the embattled Maine Democratic Senate hopeful. When said Graham Platner twisted her arm and shoved her into a bedroom, while another claimed the combat vet fantasized about killing people he considered a threat and said he would rape home intruders. In an interview with MS Now, Graham Platner denied all allegations of physical abuse. He also denied an allegation from another ex-girlfriend that he knew his tattoo was associated with the Nazi SS. Graham Platner has acknowledged his struggles with PTSD, depression, and drinking following multiple combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm Mark Nefield. Drip, trip, drip. Well.
President Trump and the mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, are both planning to attend game three of the NBA finals at Madison Square Garden, but not sitting together. President Trump says Jim Dolan has personally invited him to game three. I've been a Nick fan for a long time, and I'm also a Jim Dolan fan. The answer is, yes, he's invited me. I'm going. Mayor Zohran Mamdani, when being asked if he plans to meet with the president during the game, says don't keep your hopes up. I will be at game three. I will be in a very different section of the stadium. The two will be. a part of a sold-out crowd that's seeing second-hand market tickets go for an average of over $8,000 per seat. It's the first NBA finals game at the Garden in 27 years. Game three between the Knicks and the Spurs will be Monday at 8.30. I'm Jonathan O'Huller. NASA will soon announce the crew of the Artemis 3 mission this month, and those astronauts are going to go into space in style. Bree Tennis has details. The astronauts will be wearing test flight suits and lunar mobility units designed by Axiom Space and high-end fashion house, Prada. The space agency says the suits will maximize mobility and fit, offer thermal protection, and have built-in high-definition cameras, all at a cost of over $228 million for the development and testing of the lunar spacesuits. I'm Bree Tennis. This is Gabriel in St. Louis. And you're listening to Your Morning Show with Michael Del Jorna. This is Chelsea Handler from Dear Chelsea. Every week, the news gets worse. The world gets crazier, and Yamanika is here to tell whoever's responsible, you're the problem. If you come over here to play games, I'ma check you. Okay? If you do some... in the news that don't sound good, I'm gonna play you. Join Yamanika Saunders as she breaks down the week's most problematic stories on her new podcast. You're the problem with Yamanika. Do you know I just found out who Sidney Sweeney was? New episodes weekly every Wednesday is part of my new network, the Dear Chelsea Network. If he got a bunch of women, then I should have a bunch of men. Do better or do less so I don't have to do so much. So join Yamanika each episode as she answers one question. Who's the problem? I'm Yamanika, and I'm out. Listen to You're the Problem with Yamanika on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
I'm Jake Brennan, and on the Disgraceland podcast, I explore the wild lives of rock stars and unbelievable true crime stories from music history. These are the stories you haven't heard, the kind you'll end up telling someone else. Like the time Paul McCartney spent in one of the world's most notorious prisons. Imagine that. You're Paul McCartney. It's 1980. You're an ex-Beedle. And you're doing time in one of Japan's worst prisons right there alongside Yakuza gangsters and for a ridiculous charge. Or the bizarre crime Lady Gaga is accused of. Who is the artist Lady Gaga as being accused of doing the unthinkable to after allegedly stealing her music in style to become famous? And what about that time, Blondie's Debbie Harry escaped a serial killer? The man who had given her that ride she barely escaped from was Ted Bundy. Listen to Discraseland on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Bill, why is my eye twitching? Does this mean I'm in perimenopause? Maybe I have adult ADHD. I need to look this up. Where's my phone? Juliana, your phone is hot to the touch. I think it's asking you for a break. You know what? Maybe I should just ask chat GPT. Or maybe we can ask an actual human. Yes, like a couple sex therapist. Whoa, that escalated quickly, but... Okay. Because I have questions. We have questions. And I bet everyone has questions. Like, is it normal to sleep in separate bedrooms? We do that. How about this one? Is bribing your kids bad parenting or just negotiating? Oh, and I still do need to know why was my poop green that one time? Hypothetically, right? Okay, well, instead of letting the internet guess, we've got actual people answering these exact questions. And laughing with us has got to be better than spending three hours down a rabbit hole online. Listen to Bill and Juliana. The podcast. On the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcasts. I'm Stephanie Young. The hit podcast Love Trapped is back with new updates in the case of Laura Owens. This is CR 2025, State versus Laura Owens. I think she really believes that she still hasn't out. I'm quite confident that they're up to something. We're following the case live as the criminal charges finally come to a conclusion. Trust us when we tell you as the victims of Laura Owens, she will not stop. Listen to Love Trapped on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, I'm Michael. I'd love to have you listen to Your Morning Show live every day. We're heard on great stations like News Talk 550, K-F-Y-I in Phoenix, News Radio 1190, K-E-X in Portland, and 1090 The Patriot in Seattle. Make us a part of your morning routine. We'd love to have you listen live. But in the meantime, enjoy the podcast. More, Mikey. No, she didn't steal it from you. She said that her mother used to say that all the time. So good luck on trying to seal her for it.
We were just joking anyway, but no, I don't buy that story either. 35 minutes after the hour in the central time zone, 25 minutes to be to work by 8 o'clock. And thanks for bringing us along with you. This is your morning show. I'm Michael, honored to serve you. Jeffrey's got the sound. Red's keeping an eye on the content. We got about 700,000 ballots to count in California, according to officials. Yet somebody has already projected the person in second place. as a advancer, not the person in first place. Again, a severe shenanigan watch is in effect as they count votes in California. The New York Times says ex-girlfriends of Graham Platner have all come forward talking about alcoholism, toxicity, verbal abuse, and in one case, even physical abuse. President Trump says, U.S. will win this war with Iran one way or another. I prefer him to say. We've already won the war. We will end this war one way or another. Might be the better messaging. And the Carolina Hurricanes, I couldn't stay up that late, but they went on to win an overtime four to three over Vegas. Vegas is good, aren't they? Game three will be in Las Vegas tomorrow night. Series tied at one game apiece. And game two is tonight in the NBA finals in San Antonio. Knicks took game one. Can they take two on the road tonight? We'll find out later tonight. I think I just, yeah, I heard the paper being ripped on the table. I think it's time to go in and see the doctor. Doctor, doctor, doctor, my eyes. 37 minutes after the hour, Dr. Joe Galati is joining us as he does on Friday. New study out on Ozempic. And it looks like it may be reshaping more than just our body. It could be reshaping the human brain. Doc, I'm just the patient, but that's not good, is it? Well, you know, this is a fascinating area. So I think reshaping the brain is more of a bait click for everybody to look at this. But really, I think where the truth lies is that we know that OZempic, which is a GLP1 agonist drugs, there are receptors for this medicine in the intestinal tract, which sort of slows down the emptying of the stomach and promotes weight loss. But there are also receptors in the brain and nervous system. And so what we're finding is that when these receptors in the brain are being affected by these drugs, different things happen. And so the one thing we know, which we've known for a while, is that when you take OZempic, your drive for food goes down, your appetite goes down. You don't have these urges to eat. But then if you take it to the next step, well, what about urges for alcohol, urges for opioids?
And the research is positively showing that if you are so afflicted with alcohol addiction or drug addiction, Ozempic somehow mediates these cravings and may have an effect in helping you with these diseases. So there's lots of, you know, stones to unturn here. And I think it's a very exciting time. All right, so let's start from the very beginning. This is, this is drug people start taking. It was primarily being used to help you lower your blood sugar level. And then we noticed it was suppressing appetite. And so people that were really struggling with obesity were starting to get. results. And then thirdly, they're noticed. And then this guy stopped drinking and this guy stopped smoking. All right. So that's all the good. What might be the unknown as we move forward with this? Because we're just never going to know until enough time is passed if there are any negatives. I mean, bone density loss is a potential. Muscle loss is a potential. And could there be any others? Because right now, if you're trying to quit smoking or you're trying to lose weight, looking pretty good. Right. So I think you're right about this. And this is where I would like to say the scientific process needs to come in to do clinical studies, which are being done across the world on these sort of neurologic effects. Now, the one ill effect is, so the one effect of Ozempic and the GLP1 drugs is that it can reduce brain inflammation. And that seems to certainly be a good thing. The second thing is it does get into the brain and affect mood and your drive to eat, your drive to drink. And I would say capping that down a little bit. may be very beneficial. But what about if in somebody, it lowers your drive, it lowers your mood, it lowers your motivation so much that you become depressed and withdrawn and you don't want to communicate with the world. Well, that certainly is a bad thing. So how, you know, what's the proper dose? How is it absorbed by different people? Those are the questions. I think at 30,000 feet, it's all very encouraging. But to your point, we cannot just go gangbusters and say, I'm overweight, I smoke, I drink, and I got a lousy attitude. Ozympic is for me. That really is the wrong way to go. Yeah, Dr. Jogalati joining us for our weekly visit. One of the things we hear about, and this is really big. in certain portions of the country or in certain socioeconomic circles. Microdosing. And these are people that aren't really struggling with diabetes. They're not really struggling with obesity. But, you know, if you want to look just a little extra sharp, take a little edge off. What about with microdosing? Are we seeing anything there that, I mean, or are you so confident in what we know so far that whether you take it at full strength or microdosing, it's all good so far.
Well, I think that, that again is something that you need to, you know, scientific look at to say if the full FDA-approved dosing strategy gives you this effect, well, what about 25%. And we do have patients that are, especially the ones I see with fatty liver and pretty advanced liver disease, microdosing, they are able to lose weight and keep it off with not too many side effects. It is, do the small doses. do enough to work on your brain and your emotion and your motivational drive for food and drugs and alcohol. But maybe you don't lose as much weight. So again, these are the, you know, these are the questions. And I think what happens is, Ozympic is a real lightning rod to get people excited and everybody wants to take it. That is not the right thing. I still think that we have to use OZEmpic for the weight loss and all of that. very judiciously and not just wholesale, give this stuff away, order it online like we've talked about before, and think that this is the panacea for every ill that society faces. So all I could really say is proceed with great caution. Yeah, you're a great doctor. Your specialty is liver. But I mean, as a doctor, and I'm sitting in your doctor's office, you still, you would prefer me to hydrate. You would prefer me to exercise. You would prefer me to eat healthier than just take this for when I throw clothes on look better, right? No, that is true. And what I've written about a lot is what I like to call the pill mentality, where, you know, I've, I've had thousands of conversations with patients and telling them this exact same thing. Michael, you need to eat better, exercise, put down the Diet Coke, et cetera, et cetera. And they look at me and they appreciate it. Then they say, but am I going to get a prescription for any of this? I'm like, no, you just, you have just missed. The last seven minutes of my diatribe trying to inspire you to be a better, you know, a better human. And they just want that pill. Yeah, because you could. You don't want somebody walking around. You don't want anybody. I'm going to go to the other side of the coin, just to be fair. If somebody is morbidly obese, getting that weight off is definitely better. If somebody's walking around with diabetes, you're going to want to. control that or avoid diabetes or fatty liver. It has its place, but the human heart that has been cardio and exercise and active, the muscles that are active daily, the body that is hydrated is always going to function longer and better.
Oh, yeah, exactly. And I think what it is, it's that knee jerk reaction to say you're a little overweight. I don't want to put the work in, give me a drug. Well, then you're getting to all the side effects and the cost and things like that. Yes, for those that appropriately need these medicines, people with heart disease. And we've talked about, you know, coronary artery disease and hypertension. Yes, these drugs are a game changer. But that might be for only the top 15 or 20%. The rest of us, the 80% of the mere mortals, you got to really learn how to eat better and get more zucchini into your diet. That's what I would say. Very Italian of you to go straight for the zucchini and not the eggplant. I know. We're not fooling around here, Michael. Pull back a little bit. So our precious metal is still a good buy. That's a good question. Major banks think so. They're forecasting even higher prices ahead. And why? Well, we're still $40 trillion in debt. We have a declining dollar and inflation that keeps shrinking our savings. Even with corrections along the way, gold remains a historical hedge for wealth protection. Maybe that's why Morgan Stanley ditch the 6040 Stock to Bonds portfolio model. You got to go with Renegade the favorite, but boy, I'm anxious to see Golden Tempo. I saw that horse fly up at the Derby down the stretch. I think he's going to love to close again at the Belmont this weekend. The other is the ending. to a joke that we thought was too dirty to air, didn't stop a grandma in Wilmington. Oh, I hope that gentleman said to that lady next door, well, that's because I am. And the big debate, do I do a good Morgan Freeman? Don't tell me who I can and cannot send, Colonel. No, four Republicans United and joined with Senate Democrats to block the president's voter ID bill. Senator Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina broke ranks with Republicans on Thursday in their latest attempt to pass the Save America Act. The federal bill would impose new voter restrictions ahead of the November elections. Senate Republicans tried to pass it on Thursday by attaching it to a budget package to fund ICE, which needed at least 60 votes to pass. I'm Mark Nefield. MacArthur's Park was busted in the dark. Every DEA agent has teamed up with an LAPD officer, and we're here to support them. Obviously, if there's somebody selling drugs or committing a federal crime, we will take that. But as far as drug use, that is in the jurisdiction of the LAPD. LAPD and DEA agents say 13 people were taken into custody for offenses, including public drinking, other quality of life violations. While officers recovered drug paraphernalia throughout the park, officials say it's an effort in part of a broader campaign to dismantle what is being described as an open-air drug market fueled by fentanyl and meth. A final phase of this initiative is expected to focus on treatment and recovery services. Some moviegoers are having to endure their own little Odyssey to try to get tickets to Christopher Nolan's latest film. Tickets for IMAX and other premium large format showings of the Odyssey went on sale Thursday morning and immediately saw sky high demand. So many fans tried to buy tickets that AMC had to put its ticketing app on hold. Wait time stretched up to an hour when sales resumed. Fandango users also reported issues when trying to buy tickets. The film starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Ann Hathaway, and Sendea. It's theaters July 17th. I'm Mark Mayfield. Today we're celebrating not one but two.
Great food products. Today is National Donut Day, honoring the donut lassies who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. It won't be hard to find a discount or Bogo today. We're also celebrating the popular red sauce that started out as fermented fish. But thankfully, it's now just tomato-based. Catchup used to be the number one condiment in the U.S., but it was bested by salsa back in 1991. So today you have two foods to consume. Just not together. I'm Bree Tennis. If baseball guardians fell 2-1 to the Yankees, A's lost 7-6 to the Cubs. Giants outslug the brew crew 12 to 9. Pirates 5-1 over the Astros. Phillies beat the Padre 6 to 4. And the deep-backs, 3 over the Dodgers. Took overtime, but they got a win at home. Hurricanes and overtime 4-3 over the Golden Knights. Series now tied at one game apiece. Game three of the Lord Stanley Cup finals. is tomorrow night in Las Vegas. NBA finals game two is tonight. The next up one game to nothing in San Antonio to take on the spurs. Actor Mark Wahlberg is 55. The Goldberg's dad, Jeff Garland, 63. And saxophonist Kevin, Kenny G. is 69. If it's your birthday, as Ashley Earhart would say, we're so glad you were born. And happy birthday. Thanks for making your morning show a part of that big day. All right. A new national poll is out, which takes a look at how Americans feel about their country on this 250th birthday. National correspondent, Rory O'Neill, is here. And I think it depends on which party you're a registered voter of. Good morning, Rory. Well, good morning. And, you know, they asked, are we living up to what's there in the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal with rights, including life, liberty, in the pursuit of happiness? 61% of Americans think we are not living up to those ideals. I would argue that could also be aspirational, right, that you never sort of get that finish line. But still, you're right, it does break down party lines. More Republicans, 70% think we are living up to those ideals. 87% of Democrats think not. 65% of independents also think no. And the basic question of America's future are, do we have better days ahead or are the best days of America in the rearview mirror? Half of Americans think America's best days are yet to come. 41% think those days are behind us. And overall, they're asked, are you proud to be an American? 73% of Americans say, yes, they are proud to be an American. really varies by age in that 18 to 34 year olds, much less so. Over 65, 91% say they're proud to be American. You know, I asked this question on air about 15, 16 years ago. Is it now politically incorrect to be patriotic? And everybody had a reaction to that. It does seem to fall along partisan lines. I remember a speech Paul Harvey gave one time. And, you know, I was kind of pessimistic at the time. The older you get, really the more optimistic you get, wisdom gives you that perspective. But that's what it really boils down. Do we think our best days are ahead? What are we measured by? What's the scoreboard?
I think all of our hope for this 250th birthday was that we would go back to our intent and our original documents and reacquaint ourselves that out of many one and together united were a far more better country. Hoping this would become a healing process. I'm not seeing it just quite yet. And this survey doesn't help me feel any better. Rory's going to be course along with the weekend dive. You can catch that on many eye heart stations or just search it into your eye heart app. We'll talk again to Rory next week. All right, one chance to live this Friday, June the 5th.
