They are now in the custody of Israel. The Israeli government is in the process of transferring really bad hombres, admittedly, into Hamas custody in exchange for those 20 living hostages. There are 28 or more who are dead whose remains thus far can't be located. The expectation of this deal was to also get the remains of the dead. return to Israel. Apparently that's a work in progress. President Trump just spoke about this peace plan. This is not just a hostage exchange. It is also meant to be an enduring peace plan because of the greater likelihood, let's not say the likelihood, but the greater likelihood it could hold. Why is that? Because Trump got the Arab states to buy in. It wasn't just about you know, arm twisting Israel. It was getting the Arab states to buy in. So that if Hamas violates the ceasefire, if Hamas violates the terms of the agreement, there are other states that come in to provide pressure, military action, et cetera. That's why people think this could be enduring. The former spokesmuppets of the Biden administration are now taking credit for this. I'll kid you're not. Anthony Blinken was on social media over the weekend. saying it was President Autopenn, the dementia-addled ice cream enthusiast who is not actually functioning as president, who really deserves credit for this. Really? So let's just review here. Under Biden, a ceasefire was demanded of Israel in exchange for absolutely nothing. It was kind of like... the Paris Agreement on climate change where China was going to maybe someday, if it chooses to join in carbon reductions. This was Biden's peace deal, his ceasefire deal with Israel. Israel, you stop. And then Hamas, if you feel like it.

You can provide the hostages back to Israel. Not a single hostage was demanded under the Biden administration. One hostage was released. Why? Because that hostage happened to be related to a very deep pocketed dem donor. But there was no condition that hostages be released by Hamas. If it meets your exacting demands, you can choose to release hostages. But Israel, you have to do everything first. That was Biden. Oh, and then we're going to have to establish a two-state solution where the Palestinians get their own state. That was Biden. That didn't happen under Trump. Didn't happen under Trump. Instead, it was an Arab state buy-in, and all of the concessions, I shouldn't say all, almost all of the concessions were on the side of Hamas. And the only reason he could extract concessions on the side of Hamas was because the Trump administration had already been working over the Arab states to help. which nobody in the Biden administration thought to do. Maybe we could get buy-in from UAE or Qatar. What do you think? Nobody likes Iran. They're the ones foot in the bill for this whole thing. That's why this potentially has more of a chance to succeed than other plans of the past. It's Israel in Hamas. So you always have to put an asterisk by it. But people are enthusiastic about this because it has a greater likelihood of sustainability. And all the living hostages have been returned home, which is according to Hoyle, miracle. And you shall all say a quick, silent prayer to God of thanks. for that. We are going to take a break. We're going to come back and talk about a whole bunch of stuff on the program, not the least of which, is China's threat on rare earth minerals, the maybe not so terrifying threat of AI. I mean, I managed to work myself into a lather over it, but we're going to chat with Robert Bryce who says, you know, It's scary in theory, but in execution, so far they can't really get it off the ground. We'll talk about that coming up on the program. A very, very big deal in a lawsuit that has been filed against the federal government on the NFA. Senator Ron Johnson is standing by to talk about a number of different things, not the least of which are just the lies that are being told about this so-called shutdown. We'll get to that in a second, though. Senator Johnson, I do want to get your quick reaction, if I may, to the progressives and the Democrats attempting to claim credit for what most people are considering a near miracle. between Israel and Hamas. So you've got Anthony Blinking, you've got a number of other progressive commentators out there saying, oh, no, no, no, no, no. Trump didn't do anything special. It's all us. We're the ones who can claim credit for it. I'm not sure what the game, the end game is, if it's just delusion or there's something, there's some sort of side scheme they're working, but that's absurd.

Well, as I told Laura Ingram last week when I was on our show, what's this all about? It's about power. That's what it's always about with Democrats. It's just how do they obtain and maintain power? So, again, they're very long-term thinking. They are relentless. And so they can't afford to have President Trump to have any success. I mean, when you take a look at the very severe credits of President Trump that are giving him credit for this. Again, it's not going to work. Anthony Blinken is a liar. I mean, he lied to my congressional committee when he said that he never texted or emailed with Hunter Biden. He did it through his wife. He is the guy working for the Biden campaign that contacted Morrell, the deputy CIA director, and say, hey, can you give us a hand on this to Hunter Biden laptop? Can you get a bunch of... intelligence operatives to say that this looks like a piece of Russian information campaign, and morale, you know, dutifully did that. So, no, no, Anthony Blinken is just one of the criminals, together with James Comey and Brennan and Clapper and McCabe and Strzok and Obama and Biden. These are people who have shamelessly done everything they could to acquire power, and in so doing... put this country on a path of destruction. I mean, the political turmoil put together by these liars, these criminals, dating back to the Hillary Clinton email scandal all the way through a crossfire hurricane, the Russian collusion hoax. You know, up to today, Russia and China could only dream of doing a fraction of the damage they have done to this country. And the problem is the mainstream media, the legacy media, the corporate media. They're part and parcel to the Democrat Party. They're radical leftists themselves, so they'll cover for them. You know, you said a lot. You got to a lot with a fairly simple statement there, but you're right. It is totally about ways to manipulate Americans into thinking the opposite of reality in order to maintain or seize power. To manipulate Americans. It isn't about... putting, you know, a group of Americans first or helping Americans. It's about manipulating them. I'll give you an example. We are now denying the existence of Antifa. We're just denying it exists, right? All the Democrats deny it exists. Meanwhile, there's a superstructure of NGO funding that supports this non-existent entity. I'm not sure where money goes if there's a non-existent entity to take it. So that's one. If you take a look at, I mean, kudos to Lindsey Graham. You know, Lindsey Graham 2.0 showed up and meet the press the other day, the other day. They want to talk about Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump collusion, Tom Homan. There's JD Vance with George Stephanopoulos. Are we talking about the shutdown? Are we talking about President Trump's peace deal? Are we talking about Antifa? No. We're talking about a lie that's being peddled about Tom Homan. Everything is about manipulating our perceptions of reality itself in order to evade responsibility to Caesar maintain power. So another example that I have spent the morning, beginning to watch the new movie coming out by Dell Bigtree, an inconvenient study. And it is a masterful movie. I'm about halfway through now.

And it's just laying out, you know, the manipulation, the suppression of the corruption of science as it all relates to vaccines and vaccine, the lack of vaccine studies. It's, you know, a true placebo-controlled study between Vax and Unvax. And I just recommend every one of your listeners. It's available now. It's free. You go online an inconvenient study, and you'll be blown away by the truth. that it is revealing. Yeah. And I don't think we can identify a single element in American government in the last 25 or 30 years that isn't corrupted somehow by this idea that we need to manipulate people rather than serve the people who have elected us. You mentioned science, climate change. There is no precipitous increase in temperature. There is no, you know, precipitous increase in worrisome weather and severe weather. There is no, you know, declining ice and dying polar bears, et cetera. And yet, I don't even, do we have a total amount over the course of the last two decades that have been set aside in printed dollars that are going to cause a debt crisis that serve the interests of climate change? No, it's, in hearings with this, Michelle and White House, the chairman of the Budget Committee, all he ever held was not budget hearings, but, you know, climate change effect on whatever, you know, $5 to $6 trillion was spent globally on this climate change hoax. Five to six trillion dollars, you know, we haven't impacted it at all because we can't. We're punitive of human beings in this, you know, universe. Climate's always going to change. You know, we can certainly impact our environment. We can pollute it. We can clean it up. But impacts on climate change. Sorry, that's beyond our human capability here. But again, even that that's all about power. Right. It's giving government the opportunity to extract $6 trillion of the fruits of your labor and fritter your way. Just, you know, send it to Al Gore. So Al Gore has become a multi-100 million dollar man, right? This guy is wealthy off these carb, you know, because his inconvenient truth, that's what I love about this Dale Big Tree movie. You basically use that same construct, an inconvenient study where you finally have Henry Ford in their own database comparing. completely unvaccinated with vaccinated children, seeing that there's a two and a half times increase in chronic illness in the vaccinated group. So they're also talking about a study conducted back in, this was years ago on the DPP in Africa, showing that there was a five-fold increase in mortality. of children who got DPP and after, again, it protects against DPP, Deuteria and protesters, okay, it protects about, but there was a five-time increase in other deaths of those kids that got the immune. And again, we're impacting a person's immune system. When you're putting a vaccine out, it could have beneficial effects. Why do we reject the fact? This is maybe.

tens of billions of dollars for policies people don't even know they have, and so they're not using them. I mean, that is a massive stab. We know about it. Democrats could care less, and unfortunately, a few Republicans are afraid in blowback, are afraid of the power of the media and the lines. Yep. And they may be on an extended for a year. Well, they better not. We better not. Because another problem with those Obamacare enhanced subsidies is that they accrue to high-income people. What are you doing with a subsidy? We are $37 trillion in debt. What do you doing with a subsidy if you're making high income? That's silly. It's stupid. But that was COVID. COVID wasn't logical. The spending during COVID, we did, I think you and I were talking about this. We pretty much use government spending to replace almost all the payroll in the country. And still, they want to keep spending the same level of dollars. No, the absurd thing. We gave direct payments to 166 million Americans three times. Now, the most, the most unemployment was we had 25 million people unemployed for a couple months. It would pretty well settle back down to long-term levels of, you know, six, seven, maybe four or five million over that five or six million normal levels. But well after that, we're sending direct payment checks to 166 million Americans. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Yeah, $250 billion minimum in fraud from those, you know, handouts. Minimum, and that was a year and a half ago where I saw the analysis on that, that of all of the COVID dollars that were sent out, there's about $250 billion in fraud. So here we are. And Chuck Schumer. That doesn't even scratch the surface. That's a BS study. It's way higher than $250 billion. I believe you, because you're the one watching the numbers. It was a cocktail napkin study, actually is what it was. It was kind of a spitball study because nobody could get really good data. Real quickly, do you expect an end of this or do we have to wait until Chuck Schumer gets past his Antifa non-existent group, right? But Antifa, no Kings rally on October 18th. That's what we're hearing. I mean, we'll totally depend on public pressure. And again, when you've got the legacy media on your side, when you got George Stephanopoul's the Sunday shows, not even talking about it. You know, listen, if the Republicans are getting blamed for this, that's all we would have talked about on the Sunday shows. But they realized that most people recognize, well, the Republicans, it's not their fault. I mean, they passed the CR. This literally is the humor shutdown. So they're silent on it. So there's not a public outcry. Most Republicans, they don't care what we shut down the government, right? So on the Republican side, let us keep it shut down. It's only Democrats have to get the exercise about that and putting pressure on the people who are actually caused the shutdown, which is Chuck Schumer and is Democrats. So. Yeah, which is Tammy Baldwin. Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, but not a single reporter has even blown a phone call to her office to get a comment on this. It's the Vicki McKenna Show, standing by in the Middleton Ford hotline from the Badger Institute with a terrific, easy to understand article looking at these enhanced Obamacare subsidies that the Democrats are letting their hair on fire about. Mark Lisheron, Badger Institute. You know, Mark, good to have you on the show. Thank you. I just had Senator Ron Johnson on to talk a little bit about this. And we mentioned the fraud that those enhanced subsidies teed up. But if we can start by explaining how we went from Obamacare, which was supposed to provide subsidized insurance coverage in an exchange for low-income people or get those same low-income people access to Medicaid if they qualify, how did it become a slop for higher-income people and create a crisis in premium spikes? Vicki, thanks for having me on. I can give you one phrase, COVID-19. Under a previous administration, the government decided that on the pretext of a health emergency, all spending limits in every direction were off. And one of the, some of the collateral damage was to increase subsidies for Obamacare. I'm not going to call it the Affordable Care Act and place blame where it belongs. But to expand those subsidies for up to 400% of the poverty limit. And then just to say, well, let's just let it go. Long after the long after COVID emergency is gone, you've got you've got the subsidies in place and you've got absolutely billions and billions and billions of dollars going to policyholders who have no reason to be on Obamacare. Absolutely true. Okay, so this is estimated, according to your article, that it's going to be $130 billion for these expanded subsidies so that people over, up to 400% of poverty, can have insurance, which is not lowering the cost of their insurance, by the way. It's increasing the cost of their insurance and everybody else's insurance, but they have subsidies so they feel like they're getting something is what I'm kind of getting here, right? Absolutely. And if you talk to anyone who pays attention to government health care, what they will tell you is that these, what they do is spread the pain out across the board, all of us who pay federal taxes, then subsidize these policies as a way of hiding what the actual policy costs. And I can't stress this enough. It's important to go back and realize why was Obamacare put into place to begin with? Now, if you argue that we were trying to take care of the least among us, you might be able to make that argument. But can you realistically say,

We're willing to spend $130 billion to take care of policies for people who were never supposed to be on Obamacare in the first place. Yes. And let's roll back to Obamacare. There were about 13 million people in the United States out of 200 or what are we now, 301 million people. There were 13 million people that had fallen through the cracks. Not in Wisconsin, by the way, because we actually had a plan to take care of people who might fall through the cracks who didn't qualify for Medicaid. or Medicare and shopping on an open market was very, very expensive for them. There were very few people. We destroyed the entire health insurance system for a handful of people. If every state had done what Wisconsin had done, we would have had very few people without insurance. Okay, I just wanted to throw that out there because everybody forgets that. But we have now. The guy making $62,500, that's about what 400% of poverty is in Wisconsin, $62,500, who never would have qualified for a subsidy and did not qualify for a subsidy in 2019. And somehow was getting it done, Mark, that guy's got a subsidy now. And we're saying we can't take that away from him, even though he was having no difficulty in 2019. Or at least he was able to manage it in 2019. Vicki, there's no basis in law or in fact or continuing those subsidies. None. The extensions came under a Congress and I know we are a conservative. radio program here, but there are some Republicans across this country who want to extend these subsidies. Don't ask me why. But we took them to task in this story. Conservatives, real conservatives recognize these subsidies for what they are, which is it was a bloat. And let me, because you were talking about going back, let me remind your listening audience that Democrats in this country have been committed to universal health care since before Obamacare. Obamacare was a compromise on what Democrats thought was a march to universal health care, meaning the government was going to take care of all your health care. And by compromising on that, people don't realize that this is a constant push. And these subsidies or... The Medicaid, keeping people on Medicaid during the COVID so-called emergency, all of those things were set up so that you could get as many people on government health care or health insurance as you possibly can. Get them dependent, yes. Absolutely.

Get him dependent. Here's the thing that happens. And it happens in student lending. I don't care what it is, whether it's Fannie and Freddie. If you're out there subsidizing anything, then whatever product you're subsidizing, whether it's, you know, a college education or Obamacare, the costs raised to completely consume the subsidy. Because those companies aren't going to say. Well, geez, you know, we could just stay at stasis or we could capture all of those dollars and increase our bottom line. All you're doing is forcing the cost of the product you're subsidizing to go up and it will be passed along somehow one way or another either to the person who's got the subsidy or to the people who don't qualify for them. And what ends up happening is a ratcheting effect on everybody's health insurance premiums. Or in the case of college, everybody's college tuition. Exactly. And what you have to listen to are, and during this debate over the government shutdown and the extension of these ACA or Obamacare subsidies is a sticking point in this discussion. But the rhetoric coming from Democrats is that you're going to be throwing poor people off of their insurance. And it's the same rhetoric over and over again. except that nothing is changed. 93% of all Obamacare policies are held by people who belong on Obamacare, whether you agree with the philosophy behind Obamacare or not. 93% of these people are covered. They are not going to be, they're not even part of this discussion. They are, the subsidies that we're talking about are for people who were never supposed to be on Obamacare to begin with. And never were. And never were until COVID. Yep. Exactly. All right. So 7% we're talking about here. And I was just scanning the Wall Street Journal. Hang on a second. An article in the Wall Street Journal of 1.6 million people. 1.6 million people. We're supposed to continue to ratchet up health care insurance premiums health insurance premiums for everybody so that we don't tick off 1.6 million people. who never should have been on Obamac here in the first place. And to your point about poor people, that's Medicaid. They still qualify. If you qualified for Medicaid yesterday, you'll qualify for Medicaid if the Democrats just end the shutdown. And the Republicans like Josh Hawley, who seem to be very keen on taking lobbyist dollars of late, are not going to be able to, you know, are not going to affect poor people at all. They're not going to. Here we are again. This is the Obamacare debate all over again. We had a very small number of people who needed to be helped in the United States in 2009. We decided to destroy the entire health care marketplace in 2009 to help a very small number of people. And let's look at Wisconsin. We're not going to get hit as hard because going back again, we're going back in time when Scott Walker wisely resisted the pressure to become a Medicaid expansion state.

we actually were able to cover more people under Medicaid and we were able to keep our insurance premiums a little bit more in line than other states. Yes. And may I point out that the current governor of the state of Wisconsin has been a staunch supporter of increased benefits. Under Obamacare, Medicaid, this is a governor, a progressive governor who would love nothing more than to have universal health care in the state of Wisconsin. He adds money to his budget, and every session money comes out of that budget by conservative Republicans who say, listen, we have a system here. And one of the reasons Scott Walker resisted the expansion of Medicaid way back when was that he realized that tying the state of Wisconsin to the federal government, when the federal government does what they're doing right now with these subsidies, means that people in the state, taxpayers in the state are going to foot the bill ultimately for... this ratcheting up that you're talking about and he resisted it it was a good thing but the pressure given this administration the pressure is always there so we should also you're exactly right and in the pressure on scott walker i remember that i remember there were lobbyists who were leaning on him i mean there it was It was an act of God that he had the wherewithal to resist all of that. Okay. And then we, Wisconsinites benefited from that. We should talk about the fact that every, well, I'm going to run out of time. I hear my music. That every single year, I don't care what you're looking at, all those subsidies have caused consolidation, increased premiums. We're getting a big whack about 20%. My husband and I this year. Of our premiums going up, are we getting better coverage? No, our deductible went up and our costs went up simultaneously. So it isn't helped anyone. It's just helped PBMs, insurance companies, and health care systems that want to consolidate for profit. There is an inertia about government programs, particularly in health care. And I'm going to plug the Badger Institute here because we have done consistent stories on how you try to slow down the money train for Medicaid and the money train for the... for Obamacare and how absolutely it's almost impossible to slow it down. And so I would encourage your listeners to look at our work on Medicaid and Obamacare, but also all of the government programs, the spending programs that came through COVID-19. It's like a freight train trying to stop it.

This is a Hillsdale-oriented school, classical academy in southeastern Wisconsin. It's directly affiliated with Hillsdale College. And they are rejecting student application for a Turning Point USA chapter at this Hillsdale College affiliated private academy. The principal of that school is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Brian Hagadorn, which makes this somewhat mystifying. The investigation over the weekend by a number of different conservatives was that there isn't anything via a Hillsdale charter that prevents them from. authorizing a Turning Point USA chapter. Remember, Turning Point is trying to now expand its chapters into high schools as well. And that's what the left does. So that's what Turning Point is now trying to do. There have been over, I think, 56,000 requests for Turning Point chapters in high schools. in the country. So we're going to dive more into that in the 2 o'clock hour of the show. I want the southeastern Wisconsin people to be able to hear that as well. I want to start here, though, about the shutdown. The Democrats are losing. They're losing the war. They're losing the messaging war. And now it's starting to hurt. Russ Vought has dropped the hammer on several thousand federal employees. These are not furloughs. These are permanent layoffs. And it's continuing on like this. So Chuck Schumer needs to hang out until the 18th. So that's Saturday because there's an Antifa riot, I'm sorry, protest that is being launched in New York on Saturday. And he expects it to be very positive for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

She really has the hearts and minds of the Antifa set. So minimally until October 18th. Meanwhile, the Democrats are now, Democrats are claiming that the Republicans could end the shutdown tomorrow by blowing up the filibuster. Just do it. Do it. Blow up the filibuster. Do it. Now, there was a time in this country that getting rid of the filibuster on the surface. was not that risky on the surface. We didn't really see what was going on beneath the surface. Lots of us didn't. During the Tea Party days, we just didn't see the depth of the deep state and the corruption. And shame on us for not looking, really. But there was a time when, you know, in the Tea Party movement, you had a lot of conservatives say, blow up the filibuster, just blow up the filibuster. States don't have the filibuster and they don't. You know, government legislatures function without a filibuster at the state level. That's true. They do. We didn't realize the depth and the breadth of the rot. in Washington, D.C. We just, I don't think any of us, well, maybe some people did. There were some books written about it at that time. I think John Smirak probably saw it. Seton Motley probably saw it. But now the Democrats are leaning on the Republicans to blow up the filibuster. So here's what happens if the Republicans blow up the filibuster. We open the government. The clean CR passes, but we've done nothing. We haven't reduced the size of government. We haven't done anything with it. We just have the exact same amount of insane spending that is teeing up about $2.7 trillion per year in deficits that contribute to our endless expansion of debt, which is on top of unfunded liabilities for entitlement programs, right? So we don't get much out of it, except, you know, giving federal employees their paychecks right away. But that's what the Democrats are doing? Because what happens? What are they telegraphing? If they get back into power, what are they going to do? Blow up the filibuster. And then we're off to the races. Illegal aliens will be allowed to cast votes, probably in minimally local or probably statewide elections. There will be federally managed elections. improvements in voter integrity will not be possible. Things like voter ID probably go out the window. Imagine what they could possibly do to our gun rights. We're going to get into some very exciting potential for robust gun rights expanding in the United States coming up in just a couple of minutes. But that's their new thing. Well, the Republicans can open the government tomorrow. All they have to do is detonate the filibuster.

What COVID showed us was that the deep state is on autopilot. The deep state, the bureaucracy, the administrative state has its own inertia, that the administrative state has its own power and it's permanent. And trying to get at the power of the permanent administrative state is very, very difficult. Notice how little even Trump has been able to lay a hand on it. You'd have to fire everybody. You'd have to get rid of all of the agencies in order to truly start with a clean slate. And that's not politically feasible. It's not even economically feasible. But that was revealed to the Democrats as well. It was revealed to us, but it was revealed to them. And they said, yes, those are our people. And we said, holy crap, those are their people. So now they want to kind of do to the United States what California has done to California. Foreclosed all dissent. California has foreclosed all dissent. You know Gavin Newsom has done with his redistricting referendum? All of the no votes show through when you put your envelope in the mail so that everybody can see if you voted no. Imagine the shenanigans that could take place in California. which already has a slipshod election counting system in place. Yeah. I mean, they're like, okay. Everybody gets to see your name and everybody gets to see your vote. And I wonder what might happen if. the vote were close on that one. Yeah. So, I mean, just saying that it's probably a bad idea for the Republicans to take the cheese on this one, 10 years ago, 15 years ago, and we didn't realize how completely corrupt the American federal government was, it seemed far less risky and now it is fraught with peril. But that's the Democrats' latest because they can't seem to get a leg up on polling on this shutdown. We're going to take a break. I want to come back and talk about maybe less risk than... People like me who watch 90 sci-fi movies and freak out anticipated about AI. It's risky, but just maybe not in the next 10 years. And I want to talk about AI. I don't want to be that person who's just... AI is the, you know, is the, is the, is the devil incarnate or any, I mean, I can see. high levels of use value for AI. At the same time, I was raised in the 80s and the 90s where science fiction movies terrified us about AI. Robert Bryce, who has got one of my very favorite substacks, Robertbrice.substack.com, joins me to talk about a reality check on AI. I'm so glad you wrote this piece because it did actually help me not be quite so...

you know, down the Terminator 3 tube. You know what I mean? Thanks for joining me on the show. Always happy to be with you. And Vicki, I'm always here for you, okay, whether it's AI or wind turbines or solar panels or any, I'm here for you. So just call me. All right. Well, your piece is titled AI hype is jumping the virtual shark. And immediately I click on it. And there's a real basic reason why that headline is probably true. It takes a lot of power. We don't have access to a lot of power to power the AI systems right now. And even as importantly, we don't have people to build the stuff. So let me just let you flesh out the major themes of what you were talking about. Sure. Well, so the reason I wrote that piece was it was a statement that Sam Altman, who's the head of OpenAI, the chat GPT company, a few days ago said that his company, ChatGPT or OpenAI, rather, is aiming to have 250 gigawatts of computing capacity online by 20303. And I read that, and I know my gigawatts from my megawatts. I looked it up. That claim means that by itself, Open AI would have more computing, or more power generation capacity than Brazil. I mean, it's just, it's on its face, it's laughable. But, you know, it's just indicative of how far a field these tech bros are getting when it comes to what the reality of the physical world is. And then the other thing that, the reason I wrote the piece was this company called Fermi, Fermi, went public last week. They have no assets, no tangible assets, no revenue. Rick Perry, the former Secretary of Energy, is one of the founders. And they went public and had a valuation of $15 billion. I mean, it's just like, and they claim they're going to build all this, but this 11 gigawatts of new capacity. This is baloney. It is not going to happen. And yet the hype has just gone insane loony around the bend. Okay, so Fermi has got nothing and it's worth $15 billion because Rick Perry said, we're going to do everything. We're going to have these sort of, you know, small deployment. nuclear facilities we're going to have we're going to use wind and solar we're going to have all this you know these lines that we're going to don't forget the batteries don't forget the batteries i won't forget the batteries it was about a year and a half or two years ago and by the way i sent this to my husband who's actually in the business um when you said it would take 140 years just to create enough power lines to lay enough power lines to electrify the united states we are 140 years behind

in infrastructure, if you just wanted to do electrification like Joe Biden wanted to do, now you are saying that we're going to have enormously bigger amounts of power needed just for one company's AI. And we're going to pull this off in five or six years. It's dumb. It's dumb. It's dumb. It's just not going to happen. And in their prospectus, you know, this is a new company. So they, you know, they have an initial public offering. They claim that they're going to build an AP 1000. That's a gigawatt scale reactor, a thousand megawatts. And they're going to do it at six years. Oh, come on. You know, I wasn't born. I was born at night. It wasn't last night. You know, look at what happened at Plant Vogel. The project in Georgia, I'm glad we built it, right? But it was over time by two times and over cost by two times. And here's this startup company with effectively, you know, a staff of what, 10, 12, 15 people? Oh, we're just going to build this in six years. I'm calling BS. It just doesn't make any sense. Where are you going to get the bodies? Where are you going to get the workers? Because I know people in large-scale construction who do the design, the planning, the, you know, the mechanics, the architecture, and they are having a hard time finding actual real human beings to do this stuff. So there's that. Where are we going to get all of these people? To do all of this stuff, where are we going to get all the raw materials? How are you going to get all the permits greased and going? And how are you going to stop local opposition? And I will submit to you, Microsoft just pulled one of its projects in Wisconsin because of local opposition. There is the potential for another one in Port Washington to go the same way because the locals don't want to have to contend with all of the disruption and the potential loss of their housing values. Well, and let me add one other part of this, which is in the eastern U.S., in PGM in that region, and it's the biggest regional transmission organization in the U.S. of the 60-some million people, their costs are skyrocketing, right? The electricity bills across PJM have gone up, in some cases in New Jersey, more than 20 percent in a matter of months. Why? Because the power demand in the region is soaring because of data centers. You know, I'm not, I'm no tech ludite. I use AI. I use Grammarly this morning. And the piece I just published, you know, I think it's cool. But the thing that I am very concerned about, and you know, we talked many times, Vicki, about, you know, people who are working class folks, people who have the names on their shirts, ranchers, farmers, you know, all of those people who are going to be impacted by this and face more higher costs. And they're going to get effectively no benefit from it. But the costs are regressive in terms of. higher electricity bills. And this is one of the biggest impacts that concerns me about this massive push for more power generation capacity for AI is that, you know, poop rolls downhill in plumbing and electricity. And so the ratepayers are going to get stuck with a lot of this bill. And I just think that's wrong. Oh, 100%. And that's one of the chief complaints in Port Washington, is that we are going to be the one stuck with a massive utility bill. No, you're not going to put a nuclear reactor up. You're going to tap into our grid. You and I have talked about this, and I've talked with many other people about this. Mezzo says the Midwest grid, you know, it has the risk of brownouts, possibly instability because of all of the renewables that have been poured into it. And the use of it, they're going to get our.

utilities are going to charge them more. Our utilities are going to claim they need to do this because in order to generate a profit, they're going to have to raise everybody's rates. And so that's one of the chief complaints. The other is water usage. The reason they want Port Washington is because it's near Lake Michigan. The reason anybody's interested in Wisconsin is because we're on the Great Lakes. Period. Full stop. That's what and who is going to pay for the water usage. It's going to be those people who are downstream. And maybe, you know, something neat happens on their phone because their app is nifty or produces videos faster. Or they can make, you know, dancing cats with Trump's face on them or something. Which is always worthwhile. You need that. It's definitely worth your 20%. It's worth your utility bills going up by 20% for sure. For sure. But there's one other macro issue here, and I don't want to belabor this one, because it sounds a little esoteric maybe. But the problem that the IC2 is a potential crunch in natural gas delivery. So you look at the Amazon meta, you know, Microsoft, Google, what are they going to do when they build these data centers? They're going to build gas-fired capacity because that's what they can build. They know that they can't depend on... solar wind, batteries, and unicorn farts, and prairie dust, right? They need reliable, dispatchable generation. So what all of this rapid build-out is going to mean is that the entire grid in the U.S. becomes even more dependent on natural gas. I'm pro-natural gas, but we are becoming too dependent on a single just-in-time fuel. And that's a great concern to me, and it's a great concern to the people at MISO as well. I've talked to them about this. So that constrains our supply of natural gas so that we can make cat videos that dance with Trump's face on them, singing YMCA in the process. That is so dumb. So it's so, no, look, I can see. The use value of AI. At the same time, I can't see the use value of AI that would put at risk our natural gas resources. That would put at risk our people's ability to pay their utility bills or even to have access. I'm not seeing the vision there yet. Yes, it's neat. And it's really cool. And maybe doctors can use it to better diagnose. And you can search the entire planet's library. in a few seconds. That's cool. I love it. Is all of that worth this? And that's what people need to start asking themselves. And we're going to have time because you're saying right now a lot of this isn't even possible. Well, and a lot of it is just, you know, it smells, you know, it smells, you know, it smells. I'm old enough to, you know, to see bubbles, right? That a lot of the AI business is a bubble. But it seems anyway, right? Just because everybody's saying the same thing. Well, when everybody is saying the same thing, look out. If I can, I just want to, you know, you've been very kind and invite me on to talk about my substack. I have a new piece out today on substack, talking about China, and it's important. We've been talking about China and recent things, but China just yesterday slapped new export restrictions on rare earth elements and strategic materials that is directly aimed at AI and also directly aimed at the U.S. defense.

You know, this is yet again another example of how China is not our friend, and we have been sleepwalking into this shortage of strategic materials that are going to be needed for national defense, for AI, for semiconductors, and China is now, you know, they have the West, as I said, by the strategic element short hairs, and it's a real, real problem. How long do you expect that it could take to source rare earth minerals and other strategic minerals? in order to replace access to China supply? Well, that's the $64 question. But, I mean, the short answer is years and potentially decades, and I don't say that likely. You know, Deng Xiaoping in 1992 said the Middle East has oil. China has rare earth elements. We're going to exploit rare earth elements. So China has been progressing on this for decades, and the U.S. has just assumed. all of this is going to be available. Well, you declare a trade war, China's, and they warned China said, you know, back in 2019, they've been very clearly warning, you declare a trade war, we have, we can respond. And they've done so with this what is really a breathtaking set of restrictions on the export. rare earth elements, in particular the heavy rare earths, just prosium and terbium among them, which are critical for high-strength magnets. They're critical. The rare earths and other elements are critical for semiconductor production. This is an incredibly important, and I think aggressive move by China, and the U.S. has to respond, but, you know, there's no quick fix. Right. There's no quick fix. In the meantime, we are fighting over a 211 mile road that would allow miners to access gold in Alaska. That's what we're fighting over here, okay? That's the big battle. We can't get an iron mine in northern Wisconsin. Iron, just iron. Can't get an iron mine. So, you know, imagine if some deposit of rare earths were found anywhere in the United States. We would never go grab them. We just wouldn't do it. In the meantime, I will say it does make me feel somewhat better, only that Terminator 3 is probably not going to happen at least in the next 10 years. Because we have... We have kind of, you know, we've kind of smoked our own dope on AI. I love that line. We've kind of smoked her own dope on AI. You quote someone, as an adaptation of a line, you quote in your substack case, but I loved it. I loved it. So, Robert Bryce.substack.com. Thank you so much for coming on today. We talked about the $200 tax that has gone away on what are called NFA firearms or NFA related items, okay? That $200 tax, everyone's like, woo-hoo, you know. I'm going to wait until the $200 tax goes away and then I'm going to go get myself a suppressor. I'm going to go get myself a pistol brace or whatever it is.

There's more. But wait, there's more, like Billy Mays would say. But wait, there's more. Luis Valdez from Gun Owners of America, who is a national spokesperson for that organization, joins me in the program. GOA and some other groups have now taken that case a step further. You're asking for all of the items that previously had been taxed at that $200 tax, which also, by the way, required background checks, fingerprinting, you know, basically having the government crawl up your backside, wait and having to go visit your gun or whatever you bought at the gun store at the FFL. You're asking for all of those items to be taken off that extra special background list in the first place, right? Well, we're not asking. We're demanding that our constitutional rights are actually respected and protected. There's nothing about an ask. It's a very simple thing. The Bill of Rights has drafted in 1791, and, you know, the Second Amendment was enumerated because the Constitution doesn't grant you rights. The Constitution simply enumerated rights that existed even before the Constitution was drafted. And the argument is very simple. Look, it didn't exist in 1791. It shouldn't exist today. If you own a firearm, if you want to purchase a short-bill rifle, a short-bill shock, or a suppressor, it should be no different than purchasing any other firearm because guess what? There's nothing different about them. So that's why we have petitioned the courts. Let me make sure I say the proper legal term, a declaratory judgment, which is basically the same way of saying a summary judgment, that the NFA is unconstitutional, and these erroneous acts on our Second Amendment rights are fully repealed and ruled unconstitutional. Here's a great thing. The NFA is reliant on the tax. The tax was eliminated in one big, beautiful bill. The NFA no longer having the tax. then, I mean, the logic is there isn't a justification for the list any longer. I don't think that fully automatic weapons are going to, you know, enjoy the freedom, but I think a lot of the other NFA items might. And so that's kind of the basic argument, right, is that, well, you got rid of the tax. So if you got rid of the tax, you got rid of the structure the NFA is built on. If you got rid of that structure, then how does the NFA still apply? That's exactly what our argument in court is. In 1937, the U.S. Supreme Court specifically ruled that the National Firearms Act was only constitutional because it was a tax enforcement mechanism, not a mechanism to target gun ownership. That if there was no tax being collected and there was no punishment for a tax not being paid, then the NFA as it is... would have been ruled unconstitutional. And that's what the Supreme Court said in 1937. So clearly the fact that starting January 1st, no taxes being collected, that means that the NFA on itself cannot stand as a tax enforcement measure. Correctamundo. And I think that's a, it's not just the logic. It is logic. It is, it is the necessary next step.

something that wasn't necessarily the responsibility of Congress, but it was going to take a court case. All right, so we're talking about people claiming that somehow there's something special about a short-barreled rifle. There's something special about a suppressor. There's something special about a pistol brace, right? There's something so special about these things that they should, you know, you should allow the government essentially to fingerprint you, make you wait and, you know, dance on one foot while you're picking your nose, right? What's so special about these things? What is more deadly about a suppressor? What is more deadly, right? What makes it, what makes the short barrel rifle different than if I put a pistol brace on a pistol and shoulder it? What makes that different? Absolutely nothing. And, you know, to tackle the first issue, suppressors, if you go to Europe, which is heavily restrictive in gun ownership, in most European countries, a suppressor is an over-the-counter purchase item because it's considered mandatory for use at public ranges for public hearing and health. You know, over in Europe, where you can't even own most of the things we have here, over there, a suppressor is really like, Hey, wait, you're going shooting now. You need a suppressor so you don't blow out anyone else's hearing. You know, it's considered being polite and friendly. But on the rest of the issues, you know, short-brile rifle versus a pistol, when the NFA was originally crafted, the end goal was to outlaw handgun ownership as a whole. And in 1933, when the NFA was being debated, they realized, oh, my God, there's so many handguns in circulation, we in no way can't actually enforce this because that would violate the Second Amendment. So they removed handguns and they kept all of the other things like short-proil rifle, short-pearl shotguns. But in terms of difference, there's absolutely no difference if I have a nine-inch barreled AR. chambered in 9mm, for example, or if I have a 6-inch-barreled Glock 17-L. Correct. Guess what? They're both shooting the same thing. It's the same muscle velocity. It's the same way. There's no difference. In reality, short-barreled firearms are better for self-defense, especially for people of smaller statute because you have three points of control instead of two. You have a higher ammunition capacity, mostly because it's a rifle instead of a pistol.

And the fact that, hey, look, let's be honest, there's a reason why military and law enforcement use short-barreled firearms. It's because they work. Why are we restricting the law-abiding public from having access to the same exact thing? Exactly. So you can utilize them. They are necessarily going to be utilized at closer range. You can have more control, so thus more accuracy, et cetera. You know, I think it's funny that if I have a, you know, what is, I forget the exact, it's 16. inches plus a little bit right if if i just have it at 15.75 You know, what is, that's so stupid. Like, there is no difference. There's no difference. But one makes me have to register my gun. One has, you know, makes me have to get fingerprinted. If I don't do that, I'm an illegal possession of it. And all of this is just a way to give the government more control. I think over FFLs. I think over private gun sales. I think over private possession. It is nothing to do with crime, Louise. You know, it doesn't matter. You can say, well, you can't buy a machine gun, a new machine gun. Somehow those gangbangers have switches on their Glock 19s and there's fully automatic handgun fire going down in Chicago probably as we're talking right now. But it's against the law. Weird. No, it's only against the law for me. You know, so anyway, the whole kind of argument for this was supposed to be about crime, and it doesn't apply because the criminals get this stuff whether we can have access to them or not. Here's a dirty little secret that lawmakers don't want the public to know, and I say this as a former cop. Criminals are criminals because they break the law. Every gun law ever passed on the books only stops the law abiding because shocking news, criminals don't care. They break the law. Last I checked, murder has been illegal since Hamarabi carved it into a stone tablet thousands of years ago. That still doesn't stop them. You think anything else does? You think a criminal is going to be there like, oh, geez, my firearm has a barrel length of under 16 inches and an overall length of under 26 inches. I'm not going to use this to rob the local liquor store. No, instead I'm going to grab a legally length firearm. Yes. Care? No kidding. No kidding. You know, gosh, I guess I'm not going to use the shorter barreled shotgun here. I'm going to go get my bird gun just to make sure I don't get that extra charge when I kill the guy at the gas station. It's stupid. Back to suppressors, though. There's such an opportunity for a whole new marketplace. Because suppressors, they're not cheap, right? And you have to wait. And you previously had to pay $200. And you had to sit there and wait and wait and wait.

And so there really wasn't a huge push to develop barrels that would take suppressors that got people interested, that got a lot of the suppressor companies wanting to, you know, or new guys coming in on the market to try to use the market to get the prices down a little bit. We are off to the races in that marketplace right now, and I've already seen it. So you're already seeing, you know, new guns come out with suppressor ready. You're already seeing new companies announce, hey, I, you know, me and my buddy in the back of our garage developed what we think is the most awesome suppressor, and we got a manufacturer to build it for us. Here, you want to try it? It's awesome that you've got an entire new marketplace that has been created just by the one big, beautiful bill. If the suppressors go off the NFA, it's going to be even more huge. Look, again, going back to Europe, suppressors are over-the-counter items to where literally some of them are made so cheaply that they're disposable for just the use on a firing range. It would be no different than... Going to your local range and, you know, the little styrofoam earplugs, little foamy earplugs that are disposable, one use. suppressors could literally be manufactured to that scale of that, of that cheapness, to where, hey, we don't have to worry about being there with bulky earmuffs and earplugs and all that. Instead, we can just safely shoot our hearings intact, but more importantly, to self-defense purposes, firing a firearm in an enclosed space like your average home, that's extremely loud and deafening. homeowners and the law-abiding public should be able to use suppressors for their own self-defense, for their own health purposes. And again, going back to the military and law enforcement, there's a reason why the military and law enforcement is now going very heavy on suppressors for the use of long guns, because guess what? The VA doesn't want to pay out hearing loss claims. Police departments don't want to out hearing loss claims. Can you imagine the savings in funds we'll have on insurance claims if people don't have hearing loss now? Oh, and the hearing loss is not, it's not hard to do it either. Anyone who has, you know, had the misfortune of as you're walking up to the range and you just, you got your ears off maybe by a half and some guy, you know, fires off anything, any rifle, some guy fires off any, in an outdoor area and you're like, ow. Now imagine that happening in your house. Okay, so this, I think, I'm hopeful that the likelihood for success here is high.

What is the next process? What court are we in? What, you know, what circuit are we in here, Louise? You know, we're going through the process. I don't remember exactly which circuit is, and that's just because we have so many cases across the country. I think it's the sixth. I think you're in the sixth. I'm not 100% positive, but you're in Texas, so I think it's the sixth. Oh, the fifth circuit. If it's the, if it's Texas, the fifth circuit. Okay. And the reason why, like I said, we cover so many cases, I literally get my circuits confused because we have cases down here in Florida, Texas. Tennessee, California, New York, Illinois, you came, but we got cases, though. Keeping track of the circuit, I literally lose count of. But right now the step is we're pressing for a declaratory judgment, which is basically a summary judgment telling the court, say, look, this shouldn't even have to go to trial, we're in the right, we're in the clear, let's get this going, let's get this ruled unconstitutional. Any note, from there, probably what's going to happen is. They might rule in our favor, but, you know, someone will appeal it, and then it has to go up to the next level. And hopefully this will go to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court fully ruled and says, yep, this is unconstitutional. Yep, it's easy. It's an easy one. It's an easy one. It's an easy one. You have been out there fighting in the courts for us. Not all of the groups out there have been doing that, but you have been leading the charge. So everyone, if you haven't already gotten a membership, by the way, and if there is an injunction, let's say there's an injunction on the NFA being enforced on these items. in the North District, the injunction may only cover GOA owners for the time the appeal is going on. to run for the Democratic nomination. And that tells you everything you're going to need to know about the Democrats as well, as they scramble to try to figure out ways not to give Trump credit for what honestly is a miracle in our lifetime. It's a miracle in our lifetime. Even Iran is coming to the table, making some, admittedly minimal, but... better than nothing gestures that they would like to sit down and talk with Trump about lifting the sanctions. What is it going to take to lift the sanctions? The Democrats are married to free Palestine. They don't know how to undo themselves from that. And Kamala Harris is not that smart. She's not going to even try. She's playing to the base. By the way, if you go on AI right now and try to look up anything on this historic peace deal, You're going to find chat GPT, meta AI, and open AI minimizing Trump's involvement in this. We had to do an update on that disgusting story out of Racine that had a creepy old man going into the women and girls' locker room so you could stare at them. It gets way worse than that. Also, a conservative academy not letting a turning point USA chapter form plus Ron Johnson. This is the Vicki McKenna Show. We'll be right back. Welcome back to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. Scarlett Johnson, Moms for Liberty, joins me again on the program. To give us an update on a story, on a very disturbing story, Scarlett, you and I talked about last week. We've got another couple of things to talk about as well in this segment, but I want to talk about this Racine Unified High School, Aquatic Center that allowed a 40-year-old man into the girls and women's facility, changing facility, at the pool. and then claimed there was nothing they could do about it. That's district policy. I guess we just have to allow creepy, you know, middle-aged men into the women's area to ogle them. Now we find out the guy is actually a legit purve, according to the police. What did you discover? I discovered that this man who was pretending to be a woman and recently accessed the female locker rooms in the Case High School Aquatic Center, operated by the Racine Unified School District, had been identified as Rohan De Silva, who is a convicted offender, who has been charged with lewd and lascivious conduct in order to stay away from kids previously. He has a record.

in Illinois and in Wisconsin. He had been arrested for repeatedly entering these locker spaces in cool centers. And I found like a newspaper article and then did some research and found his arrest record from Illinois. So this guy who is actually in his 60s has a habit of doing this. And what he was found... doing in Illinois was pleasuring himself in the open in his car with a door open for the public to see after he had accessed the pool area in Illinois. The same thing happened in Racine. And he was arrested. He was led out the next day. And now I am told, or actually Misty Gilbert, who is the Momster Liberty Racine County Chair, was told by the Racine County DA that if parents see him to call them immediately, he is not to be around children. So, and his image is up on my X page and Mom's for Liberty X page. So if you see this man, he's not to be alone children. However, the real issue is how did he have access to a public school district pool center that is adjacent to a high school, case high school, and used by children and families in the district? He was allowed to do so because a school board policy had a transgender, gender affirming, let's all be nice, let's be inclusive policy, four pages of garbage that say they, however you identify, that's what we're going to pretend you are, and you can use any space you want, even in a school. So turns out they were saying a school board policy, which is already bad and illegal, in the opinion of many. because it violates executive orders and violates guidance from the Department of Justice and the Department of Education. But it was applied to grown men. Wow. They were too afraid to tell a grown man, get out of here. Now, is that true? Were they too afraid? Or did they shrug their shoulders and just go, that's our policy? See, we don't know. I mean, you got to be kidding me. So I was wrong. He's not 40. He's in his 60s. This guy has been a creepy purve for a long time, arrested in Illinois for lewd and lascivious behavior for masturbating. after he had gone and goggled girls in states of undress in Illinois. And then you're saying he did the same thing in Racine. He was arrested for the same thing. Yes. And De Silva wore a women's bathing suit, went to the Racine Unified School Pool, swam, and then proceeded to walk past the men's section and a family section that has individual stalls. So he could have changed.

like all on his own in a family stall, but proceeded to go right to the female locker room, prompting many complaints. And the whistleblower who first brought this to my attention said that he was told by staff that was, quote, nothing they could do because the transgender and gender non-conforming school board policy allowed to fill the entry into these female-only locker rooms, just based on himself identifying as a woman. Right. Never mind. He's a sex offender. Okay. So this is a school policy for children that attend a school. It does not extend to a 60-year-old pervert who wants to get off looking at little naked girls, okay? Does not extend to that, period. Not only an idiot would think it would. But apparently we're talking, you know, now that I think about it, we are talking about school administrators. So there you go. They're claiming they have coverage under a Seventh Circuit decision, which doesn't cover them. So put aside for a second. That Seventh Circuit decision called Whitaker, I think it's a Seventh Circuit, is going to be challenged if it isn't already challenged for being bad on the law. But secondly, it does not cover adult men. in school facilities. It's only about kids. It doesn't. And yes, it's going to be challenged. There's two Supreme Court cases that are in the docket that are going to address issues like this and how the Supreme Court rules will definitively tell us what we can do. Though I doubt a lot of there are probably school boards that are still going to. try to find a, you know, some kind of way around it. I would say that in this situation doesn't apply because it's adult and you don't have to do that. I think now the school board, now that they have identified this man, now the staff are told if you see him kick him out, but it took identifying him as a offender for them to finally say, okay, well, now that we know that he's a sex offender, you can go ahead and kick him out. You know, why do we have to wait until someone gets hurt? Why do we have to wait so long when this is obvious? This is an easy thing to do. So here's the thing. If we couldn't have found, let's say he didn't have a record in Wisconsin but had a record in Illinois, which is much more difficult to ascertain than going on CCAP in Wisconsin. That's easy. If you get someone's name, you can find him on CCAP, right? Harder in Illinois. Let's say you didn't even know because he had just come to Wisconsin and he didn't have a record yet. then everything's fine, right? Then we'd have been like, nope, nope. So it's okay that a 60-year-old man is there in a women's bathing suit watching little naked girls as they're changing out of their wet swimsuits. You've got to be kids. Here's the other thing. You've got an executive order. You've got multiple Supreme Court decisions. You've got the Moms for Liberty federal court order. There are Moms for Liberty members in Racine Unified District and at Case High School. So you have all of this supporting legal structure to say we're getting rid of the policy. So why hasn't the school board gotten rid of the policy?

Well, that's a good question. And I think that if you live in that school district and on October 20th, you should attend the school board meeting and ask that question. 100%. You have legal supporting structure plus multiple challenges to the decision that you misunderstood to apply to a situation where you allowed a creepy old man to look at naked little girls. in a school taxpayer-funded school facility. Oh, I can't even get my head around this. None of these people make sense. It's very clear that when they found him pleasuring himself outside of the aquatic center after swimming, that he was sexually gratified by what he's doing. So its predators are weaponizing these gender-inclusive policies across the country and in Wisconsin. They have figured out the loophole. They can go watch kids at their leisure and then go to their car and then not even bother to close the door. Clearly, like, doors open, you can watch him doing it. Get the rest of him, gets right back out. That's it. I am going to vomit. All right. I don't want to miss an opportunity to talk about this Lake Country Academy situation. From where it stands that I understand right now, a couple of students wanted a Turning Point USA chapter at Lake Country Academy, which is a classical academy. It's a private school affiliated with Hillsdale College. And they've been told no. Why? Yes. That is something that we're trying to figure out. I know that my friend Brett has talked about this and other turning point friends of mine, Jennifer, who runs the mom's coalition. And this sweet girl, she's 17, her name is Katie. You can see her image Wisconsin right now has talked about this a lot. She just wants to start. And what I love is that this is a young teenage girl. Because I want to see more teenage girls getting involved, you know, because usually you think of Turning Point. It's a lot of males, and I'm happy about that. I have a son. But for the teenage girls to start to really get involved in, you know, just kind of conservative activism is wonderful. We need them. But she wanted to just start a Turning Point chapter at Lake Country Academy. She was denied. The letter says, like, we're, you know, we're, hey, we're thankful that you have this, this pursuit, but they're saying that. According to them, they can't honor it. They're not going to have these like political groups, these clubs at their school. And I mean, I see everyone talking about this. Tom Tiffany, Scott Walker, everyone is, is, Mark Belling just did something about this. You're talking about this. I've been talking about this. So I think that there's going to be a change.

I also know that Hillsdale is partnering with Turning Point. you know, Hillsdale College in Michigan, they're working with Turning Point on a 250 project. Yeah. For the big... Hillstall's not anti-turning point. Hillstall's not saying, you Turning Point can't come on our campus. So it sounds like they're trying to hide behind the Hillsdale charter for the school, but Hillsdale doesn't appear to be the problem here. What really is shocking, it's Brian Haggadorn's wife, who's the principal over there. So this has got a lot of conservative, big conservatives behind it, this school does. So this doesn't make a lot of sense. It really doesn't. You've got to start wondering why you'd go out of your way at this time when it at least doesn't look like your authorizing charter school, Hillsdale, is anti-turning point in any way to say, no, I'm sorry. You're not going to be allowed to do it, especially when there are other private clubs on campus. Yes, there's other private clubs. I don't know why other than the fact that to me it seems political. It does. I see that Andrew Colvote has tweeted out that he's working on this. There's high up in the turning point leadership. And I think there's going to be a change of heart when you consider that so many strong Republicans and leaders and former elected officials that have. supported this school. And I hear it's wonderful, you know, from all the parents I know that attend there, and they're all very conservative. So they're pretty upset. I know the mom's really Wau chapter chair is upset about this as well, Amy. And so she, if you live in the Wauauau area, make sure that you reach out to that chapter and voice that you support Katie and. You know, if you have kids in that school, if you're lucky enough to have kids in that school, there's a waiting list to get in. It's a very good school. But they cannot hide behind Hillsdale because Hillsdale partners with Turning Point. They are partnering on a project. They work together all the time. I think this has more to do with... personal way if it looks like it looks little personal to me it should not take an act of god to get a turning point chapter at a conservative school scarlet johnson thank you so much for joining me today i appreciate it as always Yes, thanks for having me. Senator Ron Johnson is standing by to talk about a number of different things, not the least of which are just the lies that are being told about this so-called shutdown. We'll get to that in a second, though. Senator Johnson, I do want to get your quick reaction, if I may, to the progressives and the Democrats attempting to claim credit for what most people are considering. a near miracle between Israel and Hamas. So you've got Anthony Blinking, you've got a number of other progressive commentators out there saying, oh, no, no, no, no, no. Trump didn't do anything special. It's all us. We're the ones who can claim credit for it. I'm not sure what the game, the end game is, if it's just delusion or there's something, there's some sort of side scheme they're working, but that's absurd. Well, as I told Laura Ingram last week, and I was on our show, what's this all about. It's about power. That's what it's always about with Democrats. It's just how do they obtain and maintain power? So, again, they're very long-term thinking. They are relentless. And so they can't afford to have President Trump to have any success. I mean, when you take a look at the very severe credits of President Trump that are giving him credit for this. Again, it's not going to work. Anthony Blinken is a liar. I mean, he lied to my congressional committee when he said that he never texted or emailed with Hunter Biden. He didn't through his wife. He is the guy working for the Biden campaign that contacted Morrell, the deputy CIA director, and say, hey, can you give us a hand on this to Hunter Biden laptop? Can you get a bunch of... intelligence operatives say that this looks like a piece of Russian information campaign, and Morrell, you know, dutifully did that. So, no, no, Anthony Blinken is just one of the criminals, together with James Comey and Brennan and Clapper and McCabe and Strzok and Obama and Biden. These are people who have shamelessly... done everything they could to acquire power, and in so doing, put this country on a path of destruction. I mean, the political turmoil put together by these liars, these criminals, dating back to the Hillary Clinton email scandal all the way through a crossfire hurricane, the Russian collusion hoax. You know, up to today, Russia and China could only dream. of doing a fraction of the damage they've done to this country. And the problem is the mainstream media, the legacy media, the corporate media, they're part and parcel of the Democrat Party. They're radical lefties themselves, so they'll cover for them. You know, you said a lot. You got to a lot with a fairly simple statement there, but you're right. It is totally about ways to manipulate Americans into thinking the opposite of reality in order to maintain or seize power. To manipulate Americans. It isn't about...

putting, you know, a group of Americans first or helping Americans. It's about manipulating them. I'll give you an example. We are now denying the existence of Antifa. We're just denying it exists, right? All the Democrats deny it exists. Meanwhile, there's a superstructure of NGO funding that supports this non-existent entity. I'm not sure where money goes if there's a non-existent entity to take it. So that's one. If you take a look at, I mean, kudos to Lindsey Graham. You know, Lindsey Graham 2.0 showed up and meet the press the other day, the other day. They want to talk about Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump collusion, Tom Homan. There's JD Vance with George Stephanopoulos. Are we talking about the shutdown? Are we talking about President Trump's peace deal? Are we talking about Antifa? No. We're talking about a lie that's being peddled about Tom Homan. Everything is about manipulating our perceptions of reality itself in order to evade responsibility to Caesar maintain power. So another example that I have spent the morning, beginning to watch the new movie coming out by Dell Bigtree, an inconvenient study. And it is a masterful movie. I'm about halfway through now. And it's just laying out, you know, the manipulation, the suppression of the corruption of science as it all relates to vaccines and vaccine, the lack of vaccine studies. It's, you know, a true placebo-controlled study between vaccine and un-vax. And I just recommend every one of your listeners. It's available now. It's free. You go online an inconvenient study, and you'll be blown away by the truth. that it is revealing. Yeah. And I don't think we can identify a single element in American government in the last 25 or 30 years that isn't corrupted somehow by this idea that we need to manipulate people rather than serve the people who have elected us. You mentioned science, climate change. There is no precipitous increase in temperature. There is no, you know, precipitous increase in worrisome weather and severe weather. There is no, you know, declining ice and dying polar bears, et cetera. And yet, I don't even, do we have a total amount over the course of the last two decades that have been set aside in printed dollars that are going to cause a debt crisis that serve the interests of climate change? No, it's, in hearings with this, Michelle and White House, the chairman of the Budget Committee, all he ever held was not budget hearings, but, you know, climate change effect on whatever, you know, $5 to $6 trillion we spent globally on this climate change hoax. Five to six trillion dollars, you know, we haven't impacted it at all because we can't. We're punitive of human beings in this, you know, universe. Climate's always going to change. You know, we can certainly impact our environment. We can pollute it. We can clean it up. But impacts on climate change, sorry, that's beyond our human capability here. But again, even that that's all about power, right? It's giving government the opportunity to extract $6 trillion of the fruits of your labor and bring it away. Just, you know, send it to Al Gore. So Al Gore has become a multi-100 million dollar.

man, right? This guy is wealthy off these carp, you know, because his inconvenient truth, that's what I love about this Dale Bigtree movie. Basically use that same construct, an inconvenient study where you finally have Henry Ford in their own database comparing... completely unvaccinated with vaccinated children, seeing that there's a two and a half times increase in chronic illness in the vaccinated group. So they're also talking about a study conducted back in, this was years ago on the DPP in Africa, showing that there was a five-fold increase in mortality. of children who got DPP and after, again, it protects against DPP, Deuteria and protesters, okay, it protects about, but there was a five-time increase in other gaps of those kids that got the immune. And again, we're impacting a person's immune system. When you're putting a vaccine out, it could have beneficial effects. Why do we reject the fact? This is maybe. There may be damaging impact, particularly when you're, like as President Trump said, you're pumping these beautiful babies of 50, 60, 70, 80 doses of this stuff. Gee, maybe. Just maybe we've got to listen to parents who, you know, within hours of their children getting vaccinated. stopped all development, stopped talking, became almost comatose autistic. It's just, it's sad to listen to these stories. It's, it's unfortunately, as I said, I mean, everything has been corrupted. This is about lining the pockets in the case of these drugs of pharmaceutical companies that are getting contracts through the government, by the way, guaranteed profit through the government. Look at COVID. Made Pfizer a $29 billion company. I'm sorry, it made Pfizer a $29 billion profit. You know, look at climate change. All of the money that's been stripped mined out of the mostly middle class and small manufacturing and manufacturing base in the United States, where's the money been transferred? Has it been transferred to better things, lower energy costs, you know, cleaner environment? No, it's been it's been sifted into the hands of left-wing NGOs that then want to use it to. manipulate our thoughts, our perceptions, our reality, and continue to maintain power. I don't want to lose an opportunity to bring the shutdown into this. The exact same thing is going on with the shutdown. Look at what George Stephanopoulos was bringing up with the vice president. He had the vice president on. Who gets to interview the vice president? Well, the former Clinton Muppet does. Does he ask about the shutdown? Does he ask about the impact on the military? Does he ask about the impact on anything that's going on? Does he even want to talk about the fact that this is only 14% of the government and yet it's causing this kind of crisis? No.

Because the reality is, if reality gets in the way, we ignore it. If we can manipulate reality to help ourselves, that's what we do. And they can. And the most important thing people have to understand about the Chuck Schumer shutdown. is the House has already passed the continuing resolution. You could open it up tomorrow. You know, within an hour, all the Democrats have to do is vote for the SDR. It's the funding level, at Biden's level, they voted for it. They voted for C hours in the past. They are holding the American people hostage because they want to perpetuate a massive fraud. created by these temporary COVID enhanced subsidies for Obamacare. Those subsidies don't go away. You know, somebody at the lower end of the income statement, income level will still get about $1,450 in subsidies per month. versus the $1,500. It's a $45 per month difference at the lowest end of the income spectrum if you do away with that. So in other words, they'll lose $45 out of a $1,450, out of $1,500 steps. Again, what it does, though, is create these no premium policies, which has allowed massive fraud. Unscrupulous agents signing people up. They don't even know they have the coverage. They get the commission. The insurance companies get the premium tax pay. It doesn't go to the tax credit. It goes right to the insurance company. Tens of billions of dollars for policies people don't even know they have, and so they're not using them. I mean, that is a massive stab. We know about it. Democrats could care less, and unfortunately, a few Republicans are afraid in blowback, are afraid of the power of the media and the lies. Yep. And they may be on an extended for a year. Well, they better not. We better not because, and another problem with those Obamacare-inhaned subsidies is that they accrue to high-income people. What are you doing with a subsidy? We are $37 trillion in debt. What do you doing with a subsidy if you're making high income? That's silly. It's stupid. But that was COVID. COVID wasn't logical. The spending during COVID, we did, I think you and I were talking about this. We pretty much use government spending to replace almost all the payroll in the country. And still, they want to keep spending the same level of dollars. No, the absurd thing. We gave direct payments to 166 million Americans three times. Now, the most, the most unemployment was we had 25 million people unemployed for a couple months. It would pretty well settle back down to long-term levels of, you know, six, seven, maybe four or five million over that five or six million normal levels. But well after that, we're sending direct payment checks to 166 million Americans. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Yeah. $250 billion minimum in fraud from those, you know, handouts. Minimum. And that was a year and a half ago where I saw the analysis on that, that of all of the COVID dollars that were sent out, there's about $250 billion in fraud. So here we are. And Chuck Schumer.

That doesn't even scratch the surface. That's a BS study. It's way higher than $250 billion. I believe you, because you're the one watching the numbers. It was, you know, a cocktail napkin study, actually is what it was. It was kind of a spitball study because nobody could get really good data. Real quickly, do you expect an end of this, or do we have to wait until Chuck Schumer gets past his Antifa non-existent group, right? But Antifa, no Kings rally on October 18th. That's what we're hearing. I mean, we'll totally intend on public pressure. And again, when you've got the legacy media on your side, when you got George Stephanopoul's the Sunday shows, not even talking about it. You know, listen, if the Republicans are getting blamed for this, that's all we would have talked about on the Sunday shows. But they realized that most people recognize, well, the Republicans, it's not their fault. I mean, they passed the CR. This literally is the humor shutdown, so they're silent on it. So there's not a public outcry. Most Republicans, they don't care what we shut down the government, right? On the Republican side, let us keep a shutdown. It's only Democrats have to get the exercise about that and putting pressure on the people who are actually causing the shutdown, which is Chuck Schumer and his Democrats. Yeah, which is Tammy Baldwin. Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, but not a single reporter has even blown a phone call to our office to get a comment on this.
