Nate Morris is a businessman here in Kentucky who is running for the United States Senate seats that will be vacated by Mitch McConnell. The primary election was just a couple of months away. Of course, a general in the fall, but he first has to get through the primary. He joins us again. Hey, Nate, good to have you on the radio. It's great to be with you, Terry. Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. I know President Trump is coming to Northern Kentucky on Wednesday. Your messaging over and over again is I'm Trump's guy. So are you going to get time with President Trump? Do you know anything yet? You know, I know I will be at the events, and I'm very excited to be there, and I think the president's going to have a terrific visit. Kentucky is Trump country. You know, the president won here about over 30 points. And I want to go to the United States Senate to be in his mold, to be an outsider, a business person, a disruptor, and somebody that doesn't need the job or the money. And, you know, Terry, you know, we've had so many of these career politicians that have run our country off a cliff. And that's why we've got to have something totally different, a clean break from what we've had with Mitch over the last 40 years. And I think that's what Kentucky's hungry for. And I think that's why we're going to win in May. What happens, though, when a president appears, I know, like when he was at... Churchill Downs, people paid money to be in close proximity to him. Can your campaign put you near him just by buying access? You know, I don't know about that. What I do know is I'm so excited that he's coming. I think it's great. It's great for Kentucky. It's great for the region. And again, he's touting a lot of his economic plan that I think has been so impactful to the country, helping get our country back on track. You know, we dug such a hole for ourselves during the Joe Biden years. And I think, again, I think that's why people are excited to have him. And that's why I think we need to send more business people to the U.S. Senate. Your primary opponents, Daniel Cameron and Andy Barr, are two that have bubbled up to the top, of course. And they all say that Donald Trump is for them, but no one actually has the proof and the pudding. I'm wondering how this is going to set up on Wednesday if you get a chance. Will you have photo ops? You don't know any of this stuff yet, whether you're going to get an opportunity to confirm that you are Donald Trump's pick in Kentucky. Well, look, I think the president's going to have a great visit. You know, he's been to Kentucky many times. This is his home turf, if you will. He's one of the most popular figures ever in the history of our country and also in Kentucky. But look, I think it's really clear. There's one person that stands with President Trump 100% of the time in this race, and that's our campaign, and that's my candidacy. And I've made that absolutely clear.

You know, Terry, I'm running against two people that are beholden to Mitch and all his money, all his resources. And again, the Mitch McConnell machine right here in Kentucky. They're looking at this race is the chance to get one more of their guys in the U.S. Senate so they can continue to lobby this person, make money off this person. And we know that that's not what government's about. This is about service. This is about people that are coming from the outside. You know, Terry, I've been very clear. I'm the only person in this race that said, I'm going to serve two terms and be done. And, you know, we see Mitch McConnell. You know, it's become very sad to watch him. And that's why we need people that are committed to term limits, do their time, come home and go back to business and hand off the job to the next generation. And that's a big part of our campaign. And I think that's a big difference. And I think President Trump respects that. And that's certainly in the model of the kind of candidate he was and how he leads as a president. I know that one of the issues that's been bubbling up is the Save America Act, and it has to do with elections, protecting elections. Are you and Mitch McConnell on different sides in this particular argument as well? Absolutely, Terry. I mean, it's infuriating to see Mitch McConnell oppose the Save America Act. I mean, Terry, let's be clear. I mean, in 2020, We had an election stolen and we should have to show ID to vote in this country. It's really simple. You got to show an ID for so many things in the economy and in daily life. And especially when you vote, you should have to show an ID. And look, this is going to protect everyone's vote. This is going to make sure that only real votes get counted. And look, Terry, we see the Democrats. They want people not to show an ID because, you know, a lot of their voting base, Terry, are illegals there are illegal immigrants voting and you may recall the statistic but Stephen Miller was very clear about this if illegals did not vote in our elections republicans would pick up at least 20 seats and the u.s. House of Representatives that's how prevalent this is throughout the country and that's why the Save america act does exactly what the title of the bill is this is how we save the country protect the country and make sure that we do not have fraudulent elections and illegals voting in our system. And look, Terry, again, you know, one of my opponents, because of my immigration position, it's called me a nativist. And, you know, look, I'm very clear about this. Every illegal needs to go back. I've said that from day one. And the Save Act is part of that and how we get that done in this country to protect illegal immigration from hurting our country. We're being hammered by ads that call you woke and say you're full of fecal matter. They use a different word in there. So what's your reaction to that messaging that says you're a DEI champion and you love Nikki Haley and all the other claims that are made in these things? How do you react to that, Nate? You know, that's nothing but lies, Terry, from career politicians.

5:51

You know, what's so interesting, Terry, that both these guys in the race, you know, before I got in, they would laud me as a business leader. They would accept thousands of dollars for me and contributions. One of them would even come to my Christmas party. You know, the moment that I challenge their power, that I challenge their title, that I challenge everything they stand for, they make up all these lies because that's all they do. We've seen this. They're running the Mitch McConnell playbook. I mean, nobody smears like Mitch McConnell. And both these guys sat at the tutelage of Mitch McConnell. for most of their careers and were invented by Mitch McConnell. So it's not a surprise. I've been very clear. In the 2024 primary, I supported one person, and that's Donald Trump. I was one of the largest donors in Kentucky to Donald Trump. And I'm going to stand with President Trump when I get to the U.S. Senate. But these lies, Terry, I mean, look, this is the barrier to entry. This is why good people stay away from politics. They don't want to have to deal with all this nonsense. But look. For the people of Kentucky, for the people of our country, I felt like I didn't have a choice. I'm willing to walk through the fire here to get elected and do what I've got to do to fight for the people of Kentucky. And again, this is just nothing but complete nonsense and lives from career politicians. Do you think Mitch McConnell helps fund or helps oversee the opposition to you in these pack ads that attack you? Oh, absolutely, 100%, Terry. I mean, you look at where all the money, especially from Andy Barr, where is it coming from? It's coming from Mitch McConnell. I mean, I know for a fact, and I hear this all the time when I'm in the donor community, I mean, Mitch McConnell is personally calling to raise money for Andy Barr. He's purposely calling to say, do not help Nate Morris, help Andy Barr. He's my guy. This is how I'm going to live my legacy is through his candidacy. And, you know, Mitch McConnell Inc., they're sweating bullets, Terry, because, look, they need a horse to ride. You know, you think about all the people that make money off of Mitch McConnell, the lobbyists, the insiders, the people that are in business that have curried favor with Mitch for over 40 years. And this is why the crony capitalism has nearly destroyed our country is for people like Mitch. And look, I think it's really clear. He has backed up the truck for people like Andy Barr to try to get him elected. But again, Terry, I think that's why we're going to win. We've seen the business people and outsiders. That's what people of Kentucky want. That's what the country wants. And they don't want to send another Mitch McConnell 2.0 to the U.S. Senate. And that would certainly be Andy Barr. That's why I'm curious about the optics on Wednesday, where you will be versus Barr versus Daniel Cameron. in close proximity to Donald Trump, or he's going to see you guys individually. He doesn't want to weigh in in the primary, and obviously he'll get behind whoever emerges from the primary. But that's how I want to see how things line up on Wednesday. Well, look, what I can tell you, Terry, is look at the people that we have around us. I mean, look at all the great people. I mean, you may recall I announced my candidacy on Donald Jr.'s podcast, right? I announced my candidacy with Don. And, you know, you may recall we were Charlie Kirk's last endorsement that he made before the tragedy, the assassination. You look at the folks that are surrounding us like Jim Banks and Bernie Moreno, the two U.S. senators that are some of the president's top defenders and top allies in the United States Senate. You look at all these people that are supporting us. And even Elon Musk. I mean, think about what Elon Musk did to help the president in 2024, to help our country.

9:16

He was a key part of that victory in 2024. And he's endorsed me. He's put $10 million into a super PAC to help our campaign because he believes in what we're doing. I think it tells you everything you need to know about where we stand in Maga World based upon the folks that are around us. I think it's been very clear since day one. Is Charlie Kirk's widow supporting you in another event in Kentucky? Or somewhere? You know, you know, Terry, I'm so proud and I'm honored that we were Charlie's last endorsement. You know, his last political event was in Kentucky, Terry, in Bullock County. It was in Kentucky to launch our campaign. And I'm so proud that Erica is supporting me, the campaign. She's doing an event for us tomorrow night in Phoenix to raise money for the campaign. And this is the only... event like this she's ever done for any candidate. And so this means so much to us, but I'll also think about the responsibility that that carries. Look, we are going to win this campaign. And when we win, we're going to dedicate this victory to Charlie and his memory and what he stood for and to how instrumental he was in getting this campaign off the ground. And he was very clear in his remarks the day he came to Kentucky. He's like, we have to have a clean break from Mitch. We've got to have a complete 180. We've got to have something that's totally different. He saw that in our campaign. And I'm convinced that's why he endorsed us. And I know that's why Erica is behind us and Turning Point USA is behind us 100%. And we couldn't be more honored to go to that event tomorrow night. And I think it's going to be great for the campaign. And it's going to show exactly where we stand in the MAGA movement and why we're going to win. Okay. Nate Morris, great chatting with you. And we'll talk again down the road soon. Thank you so much, Terry. Great to be with you and your listener. You betcha. Nate Morris, he's running for the United States Senate here in Kentucky, though, to take the...
