Oh, honey. Oh, honey. But what a beautiful smile. And then I got these pictures to let me know everything was okay. Oh, my. And that was a first. The first pretty significant, if you will, storm that rolls through Southern California. Guys, we're going to get some rain, but it's okay. We have the voice of reason. He's like a comforting blanket protecting us from the storm. It is our favorite, your favorite. Henry DeCarlo from KTLA. Henry, how are you? Gary, Shannon, I'm doing great. Thank you for having me on. I was a little nervous. I thought maybe I was going to have to share my colonoscopy pictures, but I'm happy we're just talking weather here. I just, you know, it's a part of life as we get older, I know. So, you know, if we're going to keep it to a different storm. We'll talk about the rain coming our way. How's that? But you're totally safe to bring in your pictures if you want to. Well, you know, it's one of those, it's funny, I couldn't help but laugh because it is, it's like, okay, what am I supposed to do with these pictures? What am I looking at and what do I really want to look at these things? Right. Yeah, it's a part of life. But listen, we're going to talk about the storm. I appreciate you having me on and I know you're going to get the Veterans Day, but I do want to take the, take this. Take this moment to just thank all of our veterans because it is a very important day and want to thank all of them for their service and, of course, the family members that support them. So on this Veterans Day, thank you so much for having me. And, yeah, let's talk about the storm. We have rain in the forecast, which is big news here, right? When we get Southern California rain, but it's looking like a pretty good storm. It's going to move in on Thursday and Friday, hopefully not into Saturday. Some of the latest computer models in, maybe Saturday we get a little rain too. But, yeah, a storm on the horizon, so get ready for big changes. When we see storms like this, I mean, ones where we haven't seen a lot of rain this season, does this help? Is it, I mean, is it a potential danger in fire, burn scars, et cetera? You know, I think when we start talking about, you know, the burn scar areas, we always get a little nervous when we throw a chance of thunderstorms in because that's kind of the outlier. We can't, I tell everyone that will listen, you know, thunderstorms are the hardest things to predict. We can just kind of tell you when the conditions are there, but we can never tell you when they're going to happen, where they're going to happen. So that potentially is always an issue. This will be a decent storm. We should get. you know, many areas, a half an inch to an inch, maybe a little bit more. So we'll call it kind of a moderate, slightly strong storm if we get everything. But we'll have stronger storms. And I personally think we'll be okay. The only outlier would be, you know, a thunderstorm being thrown in there. And that's certainly a possibility. We're going to be all right, is what I'm hearing in your voice. We're going to be okay. We're going to weather this. And we're going to be better for it on the other side.

We're going to be all right. We need it. And then, you know, to answer your question, Gary, too, I apologize. So the water year for California, well, the water year starts September 1st. It's not January 1st to December 31st. So we're about a month and a half in. We did have a pretty good storm. Was it early October, late September? I can't remember. But we did get a storm that I gave us a little over an inch. I think this storm will be very similar to that one. So with any luck, we could be, you know, a good two and a half inches into the rainier. And that would be a good start for us. Yeah, that's good. That is a good start. Yeah. That would be a good start. We know sometimes we can wait a little bit. December, you know, it's kind of hit or miss. And January, February is usually when we get the bulk of our rain. So I think we can get some rain out of this one, measurable rain and be a couple of inches. You know, we'll be ahead for the water year, even though we're a month and a half in. But that's a good start. I don't want to. Blow any early surprises, but there's a good chance that Henry DeCarla comes into studio next week. What? I'm just saying. Wait. You're going to... Again, I can't... I can't divulge the full secrets of the contract. That's like saying you're getting a miniature pony and then not coming through. So you better come through with this. Still in some negotiations in terms of the contract that he has some requirements. He's got a writer that specifically lays out the kind of food he requires. Is it like he will only eat green M&M's type thing? So he's like Mariah Carey. Oh. Yes, very much. He's worth it. But you have to remember, I get up generally at 2 o'clock. So it's happy hour if I come in there at 9, 10 o'clock. So I'm thinking, you know, a good little bourbon or something. I had you peg for like a martini, no. No, not really a martini guy. I'm actually kind of a beer and wine guy, but if I do partake in the spirit, it's usually bourbon. That's my, you know, a nice bourbon on the rocks does me just fine. All right, we can do that. We've got a guy here from Kentucky. Is that where bourbon is from? Is that right? Okay. Yeah, we got a guy here from Kentucky, so we'll get some good bourbon in here for you. She's very kind. But that's not part of my writer. I'm pretty easy, actually. So I'm looking forward to it. If the opportunity comes up and it works out, I think it would be a lot of fun. I like to see how the magic happens. We're on the other side of the dial here, so we don't get to see all the magic. So I'm looking forward to it. Well, Henry, thanks for your time today. He would not deny that it was him. And I'm thinking how, I mean, part of me, like I love an unhinged head coach. I just do. I love it. I think it's part of what the brand should be. While the government shutdown may soon be a thing of the past, the people in the know say this could leave air travel in a chokehold for months and maybe years to come. Until a deal is officially inked, airlines, they say, must continue to follow the FAA's emergency order to incrementally reduce flight capacity at 40 major U.S. airports. One of the things that Sean Duffy also said either. over the weekend or at the end of last week was he's trying to figure out ways to retain those people who would retire either by paying them bonuses to stay on an extra month if nothing else just a short time trying to get them to uh he's trying to sweeten the pot to keep them there the president also floated the idea we talked about it yesterday of giving bonuses to people who haven't called out those flight uh those air traffic controllers who have not It sounds so much better when you say it. Well, why didn't we get that? Because I don't think you should expect a bonus for going to work. We're not saving people. That's my problem. I mean, no, no, that's your right. We shouldn't expect it. Right. You're doing your job. Yeah. You're not. Well, I'm going to. Why am I relitigating something that happened five years ago? I don't know, but I think what you're asking, what the truth of the matter is, what you're trying to get to is something that's been eating away at your brain ever since it was mentioned. And it is, why do men have nipples? Yes. I'll give you a little bit of a tease as to why you have nipples. Those nipples were formed. Don't point at me. Do not point at mine. Why? Just say in general. I've seen them before. It's not like this is new. Feels extremely personal. Those nipples. Stop looking at them. My eyes are up here. Those nipples were formed before your penis. I'd like to honor my grandfather, Robert Lovelace, Sr., who was a Navy CB killed in Randova in the South Pacific, clearing out a runway, an island for a runway. The Japanese come flying over and bombed him.

I like to honor my dad that was in the Air Force in Fairbanks, Alaska. My uncle was in Vietnam. Wow, good family, strong military family. You know, something can always feel good about serving your country, selflessly. You didn't feel good about that every day of your life. I hope so. I hope people feel that way. I would like to thank my father, Joseph Alley. Thank you for your service. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War. Thanks, Pop, for your service. We love you. I wonder if that, what? Remember which area my father-in-law was on Vietnam? Ah, I think it was the Enterprise. Wow. So we'll do this throughout today. I love the story of the Vietnam veteran who shot the naked intruder in Studio City. We didn't get to it when it was happening, but we've got to follow up. And I thought, what better of a day than to get to this on Veterans Day. You don't mess around with Vietnam veterans, any veterans, really. But in my opinion, Vietnam veterans, for my generation. Sure. You do not mess around. They do not play and you want them in your foxhole with you. You want them with you really at all times. Well, and especially don't take your clothes off in front of it. This guy was the... Well, I mean... I mean, that's up to anybody, however they want to live their life. I'm sure Vietnam veterans would love for you to take your clothes off in front of them if you're a particular person. Right? I don't... I don't know. I do not know. Well, not you. Oh, you mean someone that they would prefer to see. Yes. Okay. Yeah. I don't know what you were getting at. Well, you said don't take your clothes off in front of a Vietnam veteran.
