This is Gary and Shannon, and you're listening to KFI AM 640, the Gary and Shannon Show on demand on the IHeart Radio app. A fecal sample. Fecal sample. Yet I'm still opening it. Is you the one that brought us those stickers at the News and Bruzen Menifee? I don't know. April 15th is when this is dated, dear Gary and Shannon, we had a blast at Menifee. I made a sticker for each of you and a few other fun ones. See you next time. Casey from Anaheim. Oh, look. It's a sticker of us and Casey. That's cool. Here's one that says a sticker for rectal use only. I'll give you that one. Thank you. Here's a little cartoon man flipping people off. Can I pet that dog? Nope. Support your local street cats. Did the bare minimum star? Cool. Another sticker that says for rectal use only. You're going to need two of them? Apparently. Put that little guy with the flip and you should put them on your computer. I don't know. Oh, okay. Wow. You don't like it. All right. No, no, no, I will. I'm going to put it on it right now. This guy? Yeah. All right. Sure. What else is going on? Time for what's happening. What? Well, late season storm expected to roll in through Southern California this afternoon. A few places out in Ventura County up through Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, they're getting rain right now. And if you're driving up on I-5, you're going to get through Bakersfield, you'll see some rain. But for the most part, down here, L.A. Orange, Inland Empire, we are not expecting a whole lot more than maybe a quarter of an inch of rain. And they said that most of it should move through by about 8 o'clock tonight. Well, the president says he is not likely to renew a ceasefire with Iran if they cannot reach a deal before the deadline. Now, what happens if this deadline? It's tomorrow. The deadline's tomorrow. I feel like we've blown through a number of deadlines. There's been a number of time parameters put on this thing that we have blown through or they have been adjusted. Well... He says we're ready to go again, that as soon as he calls for it, we'll start dropping bombs and lots of them. The question I don't quite have an answer for is what is actually going on? Because the vice president teamed up with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner were supposed to be headed to Islamabad Pakistan to get involved with this second round of talks. But now... The White House hasn't confirmed this, but it's believed that JD Vance never left D.C. And they're also reporting, CNN is, that Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are flying back to D.C. right now as opposed to heading to Pakistan. So.

I don't think anybody knows what the heck is going on. David has pleaded not guilty to the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. We heard the DA Nathan Hochman lay out the case along with Chief Jim McDonald yesterday. A parent's worst nightmare is how it was described. Your little girl, your daughter goes out for the night and never returns. The complaint that we heard about yesterday, the charging documents show that... They believe that the last time she was seen in April until what was left of the dismembered remains of Celeste were found in that Tesla impounded in the fall. So three months maybe the body had been in that trunk. We mentioned yesterday the spike in burglaries that we've seen along the San Fernando Valley. It's also increased several patrols. There was even a new one, the San Fernando, sorry, Sherman Oaks family targeted in the early hours this morning. They broke the glass in the home, only to realize that people were inside and then left before police were able to arrive. But they said that these hot burglary clusters, as they've been calling them, in Encino and Sherman Oaks over the last several years. That community in Louisiana where those eight children were murdered is obviously still reeling, catastrophic shooting, a man killing seven of his children and another child. And seriously entered his wife and another woman described as his girlfriend. He was chased down and killed by police. The councilman in the district in Shreveport says the city has a true epidemic of domestic violence. He said at a news conference, this is something should be a top priority of the city's administration and law enforcement. The mothers identified all of the kids. Three-year-old Jala, five-year-old Shela, six-year-old Kayla, seven-year-old Lela, 10-year-old Mark Hayden, 11-year-old Sharia, six-year-old Cadarian, and then five-year-old Braylon. Most of the kids were, well. Most of them, it appears, were shot in their sleep. The suspect served in the Louisiana Army National Guard from 2013 to 2020 as a signal support system specialist and fire support specialist. He never deployed, left as a private. He was arrested in 2019, convicted of a legal use of a firearm. He was likely prohibited from legally owning the firearms because of the conviction. But that's, in terms of a record, that's it. We mentioned this earlier. Mike Vrable, head coach of the New England Patriots, had to address the story about Diana Rossini. She is a, well, she's a journalist, but has been fired from her job. No, she left. She left. It was her own decision. Yeah. Head coach said he never wants his actions to be a distraction or negatively impact the organization. There were pictures that were posted between the coach and the journalist. With Mike Rable, nobody looked at him like he was a Boy Scout. He was a player. He's a coach. The idea that he's stepping around outside of his marriage is not a shocker. He probably doesn't even know his wife that well. I mean, he went from being a player to being a coach. He doesn't spend, he hasn't spent any time at home, is all I'm saying.

8:20

You just don't spend that much time at home. But the story that she was covering him, and I had all this inside information about AJ Brown and the like, that's where it becomes, I guess, a story. You know, getting, you know, a head football coach who is messing around with somebody outside his marriage is not headline news. Page Six thought it was, but then again, there's been nothing else to it. I mean, you mentioned this earlier. If that was the case... Where is the actual smoking gun evidence that they were in some sort of an improper relationship? Yeah. They were friendly. Clearly, they were friendly. Does it go any further than that? I'm much more interested in Bill Belichick going to the adult cheer competitions with his 22-year-old girlfriend. Like, that's much more interesting to me from a psychological standpoint. It's stronger evidence of mental incapacity. Adult cheer or him showing up at those events? Go on. We'll come back and do Swamp Watch. I have another piece of mail. Also, your chance at $1,000 is just around the corner. This is a big envelope. You're going to have to plow through that before we get into it. I am. It's from David. Oh, it's a baseball book. Spring training in Fullerton from 1935 to 1963. That's pretty cool. You're going to love this book. Hi, Gary. I heard you and Shannon talking about your deep in the weeds love of sports history yesterday. I thought you might enjoy this book about spring training in Fullerton. Just a gift, not looking for a plug. Hope you enjoy it. There you go. Great. You're going to love that. Wait, he wrote it. Oh, he wrote it. Is that David? Yeah. Okay. Oh, that's cool. Thank you, David. See, you could be doing something like this with your free time. Yes. Write penning books about esoteric baseball history. To what end? You would love. It really does F with you. It doesn't. It'll blow you apart. Every step of every day. It'll stop you in your tracks. Like, I'm in working out the other day yesterday. And I was like, to what end? Why? Why? Just why? Hi, this is Gary's neighbor calling. I've been listening for the last hour, an hour and a half. And I keep asking myself to what end? I know. Dude, once you start thinking about it, it is crazy. It's time for one. Like you're going to drive home today and be like, To what end? I'm a politician, which means I'm a cheat and a liar. And when I'm not kissing babies, I'm stealing their lollipops. Here we go. The real problem is that our leaders are dumb. The other side never quits. What are you doing in my swamp? I'm not going anywhere. So dumb. That is how you drain the swamp. I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by what has been. You know? Americans have always been going. presidential. But they're not stupid. A political blunder is when a politician actually tells the truth. Whoever people voted for you with masks. Swamp, watch. They're all Canada. Uh-oh, two sounders back to back. This just in. A lot of people want to know what happened. That just happened. Doodoo, do, do, do. Congresswoman out of Florida has resigned. Sheila Cherfulis McCormick is resigning from the House of Representatives. Her decision to resign came just before she was facing a decision from the House Ethics Committee set to discuss punishment from its investigation. Last month, they found that she was guilty on multiple counts of failing to comply with federal election commission regulations and to uphold the Code of Ethics for Government Service. This guilty verdict came a day after she appeared before the committee for a rare public hearing to face allegations that she stole millions of dollars. in federal disaster funds and then used it to bolster her 2021 campaign for Congress. Kamala Harris is going to have to find some new money if she wants another go for it in 2028, a comeback bid for president because Mark Cuban, a major donor of Kamala Harris in 2024, says he is out. He was asked today at Politico's Healthcare Summit whether he wants to see the former vice president run for the president, and he quickly responded, no. He was asked to recall her health care message during her short-lived 2024 presidential campaign, and he said, don't remember, don't care. Those days are gone. Wow. Now, she did signal early of this month. Kamelated. She's seriously considering entering the 2028 Democratic field. She said, in her words, listen, I might. I might. I'm thinking about it. Cuban was a Harris surrogate during the last campaign cycle. He said he's not trying to promote a specific candidate now. He said, I'm trying to change how effed up this health care industry is right now, and that's all I care about. He says he is open to supporting a Republican who shared his reform goals. Praise Trump and his health department's efforts to lower drug prices and speed drug trials. He said they're trying to make it easier for folks like us.

15:52

Does the vice president? Vice president does get a pension, but not necessarily because they're a vice president. They get a pension based on the fact that they were president of the Senate. So that means a retired vice president earns the same pension as any member of Congress, but based on their years of service. Before 97, retired vice president, Joe Biden earned about a million dollars in federal pension for his 43 years in public service. Mike Pence, however, earns about $85,000 in state and federal pension. That pension's valued at about a half a million dollars, which puts him into the Millionaires Club. Okay, so JD Vance did not go to Pakistan? CNN has said that he is still in D.C. waiting for instructions. And that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, even if they were on their way to Pakistan, are now back on their way to D.C. So we don't... He was in... He was in Pakistan earlier this month. I don't know. Yes. In the first round of talks, he was there. Okay. But at this point, there was conflicting... information from the president and the White House about whether he was on his way or was waiting to go and was still here. So we simply do not know. Other D.C. news, the Labor Secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, has resigned. She was facing an investigation from the Labor Department's Inspector General over potential misconduct. A couple of her staffers were placed on administrative leave and ultimately left their posts, I should say. One of the things that happened was apparently she had multiple allegations of misconduct, whether she was pursuing a romantic relationship with a subordinate, also accusations of sexual assault against her husband. Also in Virginia today, voters are deciding on the fate of yet another congressional map designed to allow Democrats to pick up as many as four seats. In the upcoming midterms in November, this special election is the latest in this mid-decade redistricting war that we have seen. We've got a governor's debate tomorrow night. This is the first after Eric Swalwell suspended his campaign. They needed to get to 5% support. So you've got Tom Steyer, Katie Porter, Xavier Becerra, Matt Mayhan, and then Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco both as well on the Republican side. So Frank Buckley and Nick Nicky Lorenzo from Inside California Politics will be moderating this one. Debates begins at seven. They say the first hour will air on television. The final 30 minutes will be available streaming only. So you'll see it on KTLA, obviously. I'll watch this if I remember. I never remember to watch these things. You could tell your. I don't do that.

18:44

I don't want to tell my phone to do anything. I don't want to start relying on that. You know, I don't care enough. If I remember tomorrow during the show, which we'll probably talk about it, you know. It's just really hard to sit down and listen to these boobs, jab each other with talking points and not speak like real humans. And not get to the point. Get to the point. And, you know, show what are you really saying? It's like they say all these things. It's like, okay, well, what's the meaning behind those words? Is the meaning behind those words, I'm going to whore myself for all the unions because that's what I've got to do to be powerful in California politics? How much are you going to whore yourself? You know, you got to read into all of these pat statements that they make. You know, who are you bought and sold you? Like, who are you paid for by? Tom Steyer's the only one who can say Tom Steyer. All the progressive, the progressive machine that's out there funding these candidates. Who are they backing in this thing? Is it Xavier Becerra? Is that why we've seen him jump recently? I wish they just had little signs that said who they were horrors for right there on the stage. Maybe that's the lead question. When we do the debate. Yeah, that's why we don't get called for things. Candidates, instead of a 60-second opening statement, just tell us who you're a whore for. This is why every January you and I sit here and go, I don't know why they haven't called us to do the rose parade.

20:16

Okay. You'd be a whore for that wheatgrass that makes up the camels for anything to do the rose parade. True Crime Tuesday, when we come back, we'll talk about the maybe sinister story of the 11 scientists that have gone missing are dead. Do, do, do. You're listening to Gary and Shannon on demand from KFI AM 640. Iran says it spent the last two weeks preparing for war. They say that the ceasefire has given them the opportunity to get ready to fire again and that they have some new cards they want to reveal on the battlefield. So I'll see what that means. We do not know the status of what is supposed to be. We thought negotiations to extend a ceasefire in Islamabad, Pakistan. But most media reports suggest that JD Vance never made the trip. So we don't know what's going on over there. Did you know, Elmer, you watch Euphoria. You're the only person I know here for sure that watches it. Yeah, yeah. Did you hear about all of the fans calling for it to be canceled? No, why? Apparently, they say that it's shocking and disturbing. I thought that was the goal of Euphoria to be shocking and disturbing. HBO has always pushed the envelope with its shows, its original content. And this to me was just a similar thing. Yeah, it is business as usual. But they say here's one user that wrote on X. Euphoria should be canceled and over with seeing Sam Levinson turn the girls into worthless prostitutes for every single episode. Just say you hate women and pack this Essie Doom show up. I mean, I agree, but that's been season one and two. Right. Why? Like, why now? They say now it's just fetish slop. They take aims specifically at Sydney Sweeney's storyline for the second week in a row. No, that was crazy. It is crazy. It is crazy. But anyway, that's wild that they're calling for a show that I think is probably targeted of the younger generation. The younger generation is turning on it. Yeah. Interesting. Hey, Gary and Shannon. I think all politicians that come on a debate stage should wear jackets like NASCAR that shows all their donors and sponsors. Yes. That would be great. I love that. That's a great idea. Well, there's a weird story that we're going to use to kick off True Crime Tuesday. The story is true. Sounds true. No, it sounds made up. I don't know. Gary and Shannon present True Crime. So there have been 11 scientists that have either died mysteriously or disappeared. And the reason that we know that they are at least connected circumstantially is they are all top scientists that work with classified information. As an example, a few of the strange cases. NASA scientist Monica Reza Pahlavi went missing during a hike in June of last year. Astrophysicist Carl Grillmeyer shot on his front porch back in February. An MIT physicist shot and killed at his home in December. Air Force Major General William McCasland went missing from Albuquerque, New Mexico, just last month.

23:50

All of these investigations into the disappearance is being led by the FBI. And now NASA says that they are willing to help out in any way that they can. The president has weighed in. President also weighed in. He said he's vowed to investigate the disappearances. I hope it's random. He said what we're going to know in the next week and a half. I just left a meeting on that subject, he said last week. James Comer is the head of the Oversight Committee in Congress, Kentucky Republican. And he was asked about this whole series of mysterious deaths. Yeah, when I first heard about this, I thought, well, that can't be true. That sounds like some kind of crazy conspiracy theory. But once you see the facts, it would suggest that something sinister could be happening. And it would be a national security concern with 11 mysterious. people that were very important to our nuclear program all either mysteriously die or turn up missing. Kash Patel also discussed this. He said these missing and killed scientists from former professional members of the Department of Energy very widely. He said we're working most importantly with our state and local partners who have the jurisdiction on these cases, whether they be homicide or missing persons. They have the evidence, they being the local agencies. He says we're going to do, what we're going to do is collectively pull it all into one place in terms of whether or not they're focusing on connections to classified information or foreign actors. He says he's hoping a lot of that will come out as they get it all together. It seems like maybe just coincidence. Well, here's another one. Kansas City National Security Campus government contractor Stephen Garcia disappeared in Albuquerque. discovery of pharmaceutical scientist Jason Thomas at the bottom of a Massachusetts pond after he went missing three months ago. All of them relatively. Yeah. Young, right? Consecutively or young and recent. I'm glad we don't know anything about science. We're safe here in this room. I'll tell you that. When we come back. The update on that Gilgo Beach murder guy. I'm sorry, you don't tell me everything. Have you been dipping your toe into nuclear science waters? No. No. No, just biochemistry. You could work for the CIA and I wouldn't know it. Yes, I could. And you would not. You don't. Let's not. Let's not pretend. If I did, what would I say? Let's not pretend. You should start lying to people, though, like your neighbor, when they ask you what you do and you fumble around and say, I talk for three hours and they say to what end? You could just say, I work for the government, period. Don't we all work for the government to a degree? We all got to pay. That's a good point. I'm going to start saying that. But if we work for the government. I work in. Well, how does it sound like when you say I work for the government, it sounds a little uncool. Like you could work for, you know, the DMV or whatever. How do I say I work for the government but make it sound mysterious? I work for an agency.

26:58

Because if you're in the CIA, you say the agency. Yeah. But if you just say an agency, I feel like the agency was like a 50s thing. No. Still current. So you guys still say that? I would not say that if I work for them. Gilgo Beach, we come back. You're listening to Gary and Shannon on demand from KFI AM 640. Looking for a little Hollywood-style fun? Gary basically said if he saw me in heaven, he would just say hi and then like keep going and like not even pretend to know me. And I said that's not very Christlike. Well, I can't be. I mean. You can't strive to be. You can't pretend you don't know me after we spent 10 years together. To what end? To what end? To what end? Okay, we're in True Crime Tuesday. Rex Eurman, we've talked about Rex before, right? Rex is our Gilgo Beach guy who confessed to the murders or at least pleaded guilty, so he's going to go to jail for a long time. This is surprising to me, and I don't know why. I've talked about it. I've read the book about Lost Girls, about the murders of these prostitutes or sex workers on Long Island. And we've talked about the fact that this guy finally pleaded guilty, Rex Ehrman, and killing at least eight women. But... This latest bombshell did not occur to me to be something that was real or even imagine. Like, I assumed that he killed these girls like in a car or out in a field somewhere or something like that. But no, he told his wife. During a face-to-face conversation in a calm, matter-of-fact tone that he killed seven of these girls slash women inside the family home. inside the same room in the family home. Yeah, this is all part of a teaser for the Peacock Channel, the Gilgo Beach Killer House of Secrets show. That's gross what you just said, that this detail is a teaser for a show. Like, these were real people who were murdered and killed, and the fact that this detail is being used to get more eyeballs on a documentary on Peacock is gross. But this is, here's... We've seen this in other serial killer cases before. The numbers don't jive. Oftentimes, somebody will claim that they killed more people than they did, or they'll only admit to a few murders, but others are attributed to them without direct evidence necessarily, just to be circumstantial in that case. In this case, it's similar to that. He admitted to his... ex-wife, Asa Ellerup, that he killed eight women without hesitation, even though he was only formerly charged with and pleaded guilty to killing seven. this court hearing that we saw at the beginning of the month, he pleaded guilty to the seven murders. He acknowledged that he murdered one more woman in those in whose slang he had not been charged, but he did not elaborate. Now, she finalized her divorce from this guy March of last year after 27 years of marriage and said in this little teaser clip that she didn't want to address her ex-husband as Rex during the jail cell meeting where he made the admission.

32:09

And she referred to, again, this is a guy she was married to for 27 years. She calls him Mr. Heerman. She says, so, Mr. Hewerman, I understand that you are confessing to me on these murders. Can you please tell me how many of the women did you kill? And he said he killed eight women. I have no appetite to hear, unfortunately, from her or him. Or any of these people, other than the hearing about the girls or the women that were killed. And that's why that book Lost Girls was so good is because it was the first book that I have ever read or first case I had ever heard of where you're dealing with a serial killer case. And too often it's just prostitutes and hookers and that's all they are. That's what they're limited to. And the book really... trace the lives of these girls from the time when they're little girls to the time when they're killed. And at the time of the book was published, you didn't know what happened to them. If they were missing, if they were, you know, some of them, the bodies were found. And who did it and why and all the things. But like, it spent time on each of these murdered girls and really drove home the point that they are people. People. People. I don't want to hear more from Rex Yerman. I don't want to hear from his wife. I mean, she lived in that home. You wouldn't kill women in your home and your wife not think there was something wrong with you or going on or sniff something out in terms of, I don't mean smells. But, you know what I mean? There's something amiss with your husband. You've got to know something. That was going to be my question is how much. Blame is not the right word. How much culpability maybe does the wife have? Well, I mean, part of it is self-preservation, right? You want to ignore, put the blinders on, the old Doddy Sandusky deal. You'd think to yourself, there's no way he's killing women in the basement. There's no way. Insert bad deeds here for the sanctity of the family or the marriage or God or whatever the hell you're going to tell yourself. But you know something's amiss. I would assume. Yeah. So you're not going to watch that show. No. No, I'm not. Okay. Sports-wise tonight, by the way, the Angels lost of the Blue Jays yesterday, 5-2. They'll host again tonight. The Angels will 638 first pitch. Dodgers. Sorry, spilled. You spilled those M&Ms? Yeah, a little bit. Dodgers first meeting with the Giants of the season will be tonight up in San Francisco, 645 first pitch Yamamoto against Landon Rup. Hey, we're going to do... Rockets Lakers tonight, by the way, game two of their best of seven series. We're going to do what you watch in Wednesday tomorrow. So... Let us know. Yeah, we haven't done it a while. So people have got some good shows saved up, we assume. Started the Madison last night. I started a new book last night. Yeah. Somebody else said we need to get into the book Theo of Golden. I read that. I think everybody has. Everyone read that. But thank you for the suggestion. That's very nice. All right. Now what?
