I'm Marcela Sanchez with an AP News Minute. A federal judge says writer Eging Carroll can be paid the $5.8 million that was set aside after a jury found that President Trump sexually abused her in 1996 and defamed her after she publicly revealed the attack. The AP's Lisa Dwyer has more. Trump's lawyers immediately appealed that order, which raised the money to be released to Carol. Carol's lawyers requested disbursement of the money after the Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal of the 2023 civil verdict. Trump has resumed a defamatory attacks against Carol as his lawyers consider asking the High Court to reconsider its decision. I'm Lisa Dwyer.
