Expect exceptional leadership. And you've demonstrated anything but that. Sharp questions and rhetoric toward Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, lawmakers from both parties criticizing or handling of the administration's immigration crackdown and more. Fox is Jeff Minasso with a recap of some of the hours of testimony. What were some of the top takeaways? Well, I think that was Thom Tillis, who threatened Tuesday to use aggressive procedural, essentially to stop all work in the Senate if Homeland Security fails to respond to his office's inquiries about immigration crackdowns that have been happening in Charlotte, North Carolina. President has previously called Thom Tillis. and other Republicans, losers, the ones that don't work with him, and rhinos, among others. And it's probably one of the reasons why he's retiring. But look, this is what you expected. It's what you expected. It was a battle. Lots of sound bites were taken from this and, you know, creating lots of clicks, a battle over, you know, ICE operations across the country, as well as DHS's. demand that the agency be funded along with TSA, FEMA, Secret Service, and other agencies that fall under DHS's umbrella. That's that they've gone on funded for weeks over Democrats' demands. that include judicial warrants for immigration raids, that ICE agents be identified, banned from wearing masks. Democrats also demanding the federal government allow Minnesota to investigate the deadly shootings involving ICE agents in the last couple of months. But so, you know, one of the, one of the battles that happened between, when Kristi Noem, the secretary sparred with Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, who claimed that most of The migrants, ICE arrested in ongoing ICE action had no violent criminal records. She corrected him, saying he's discounting DUI's embezzlement theft. other crimes along with the crime of being in the country illegally. She also said that of the 450,000 children that enter the U.S. is unaccompanied minors lost by the Biden administration that they've located 145,000 of them and reunited them with their families. And she says that under the Trump's Trump administration's second term, more than 3 million illegal immigrants so far have been removed from the U.S. with encounters at the border under President Trump reaching the lowest level in recorded history. How did she address the killing of the two Americans in Minneapolis and some of the questions that were appointed toward her there? Yeah, she took more of a measured approach, and that was one of the big arguments that Democrats brought, you know, in terms of violence. They're kind of creating, they're painting the picture of violence.

that ICE is bringing in cities across the country. And she took a very measured approach, and I'm really sorry for what those families had gone through and have been going through it, and that these cases will be investigated. as along the proper channel. Essentially, the feds have taken over those investigations, even though the state, Hennepin County and others, they want to be able to take a stab at those to bring charges. Should charges be warranted? That's what Democrats are calling for as well. But that was one of the hot-button issues that Democrats came into the hearing yesterday armed with. Fox is Jeff Manasso for us live. Thank you.
