So Shelley Yoder is upset that Turning Point USA made an announcement with Governor Braun about voter registration. about clubs that are going to be in schools. Shelley Yoder is the leader of the Democrats in the Senate. Tony Katz, 93 WIBC, good morning. Saying that as Fox 59 reported it, it was not an announcement about civic education keeping politics out of schools, then it crossed a line. Students in Indiana. have already have the freedom to form clubs speak their minds registered to vote and participate in civic life the question is not whether students can participate the question is whether the state of indiana should be putting its thumb on the scale for one outside ideological agenda is that right uh senator yoder hi tony cats good to have this chance to talk to you If indeed you want to say you want no politics in the classroom, can I get you to sponsor the legislation that states that the only flag that can be in a classroom is the American flag? No gay pride flags, no anything else. Now, if you tell me this legislation already exists and I missed it, I'll say, okay, well, then I'm glad that's done. I guess we have nothing else to talk about. Can we get you to say that unions should not be allowed to engage in political activities, specifically teachers' unions, because that is putting pressure on teachers to engage politically in the classroom? If this is really what we want to be opposed to, which I favor. I absolutely favor it. All I'm doing is saying this is your discussion. Where do we take it to its natural conclusion? What have you done? Educate me, as the kids would say, on what it is you have done policy was to ensure that the classroom is free of outside influence. That's your argument here. Your argument is that Turning Point USA is not Hoosier, which is one heck of an argument indeed, considering the number of Hoosiers who showed up for the announcement.
All those students, college and otherwise, Hoosiers. This is being sold to Hoosiers, she writes, as some broad and neutral statement about student organizations. It is not. This event was built around Turning Point USA. The proclamation singled out, Turning Point USA for praise. And the governor used the authority of his office to give one national ideological organization something every Hoosier can recognize when they see it. Special treatment. Braun is trying to sell special treatment as neutrality and political favoritism as free speech. If indeed you are bothered by this. Well, then let's talk about it everywhere. Starting with the teachers' unions that have one ideology, favor that ideology, and push that ideology. Now, as far as I know, this is about voter registration drives, and I'm in favor of voter registration drives. I'm in favor of it in every way. My God, even Andre Carson, who has never made any good decision in terms of relationships, connections, he's a bad judge of character. When he has job fairs in Indianapolis, you know what I do? I say good, good because people need jobs. If you really oppose... ideology in the classroom, then join me on this show to denounce teachers' unions and to put an end to them in Indiana. That way, we get those politics out of the classroom. Cannot wait for you to join me on the show to do just that, Senator Yoder, anytime. Tony Katz 93 WIBC, good morning. Then grab your popcorn because there is more. Chris Murphy is the senator. from Connecticut, proving that Connecticut elects crappy senators. They do. Richard Blumenthal, guy who lied about his Vietnam service. Chris Murphy, who is on an absolute tear, going after the commander in chief and trying to demoralize the military. This was him just... yesterday, two days ago regarding how the military is engaged in the Middle East. Senator, I wanted to ask you, I know you can't get into classified information, but again, Congress, the United States spends $800 billion annually on its military. That's more than every other country on earth combined, including Russia and China. Why are, did you get any explanation for why American naval ships aren't escorting tankers in and out or through the Strait of Hormuz? Why can't we take out, you know, these Iranian ships or missiles that are threatening such a crucial waterway?
Well, I guess it's not amazing to me. I mean, have we not learned the ineffectiveness of our military in the Middle East? I mean, we could sort of say over and over again. It's incredible that the military hasn't been able to change political realities in the region, but there are limits to our power. Why not just say, well, I guess we're going to have to live with terrorism for forever? You can change things in Iran by destroying the regime. And we have made great strides thus far. We're just now two weeks into this. Chris Murphy thinks things should be done in five minutes. I mean, just ask his wife. What? Is that no? I thought she might know. I mean, you don't think no? No. Oh, oh, not that long. Got it. And then yesterday, he's once again going after the military and doing the bidding, the PR work of the regime and of the woke right with this. This is the most incompetent, incoherent war America has fought in the last 100 years, and that's saying a lot. This administration has no idea what they are doing. There is no viable war plan. They change their goals and their aims every single day. I have great sympathy for our soldiers and our military leaders. They are being given directions by a senile old man who is losing his mind. Never once about Joe Biden. But no problem about Donald Trump. He's trying to demoralize the military, trying to demoralize the United States, and he's doing the bidding of the terrorist enemy. That's, that's Chris Murphy. Oh, let his team get angry at me. Years ago, I had posted something and his team actually reached out. This isn't correct. I'm like, of course it is, but neither here nor there. Little corrections I can live with. Overall sentiment still stands. The overall sentiment is Chris Murphy couldn't lead you to victory if your life depended on it. And your life depends on it.
Terrorism at Old Dominion University. Terrorism at Michigan, in Michigan at the synagogue in West Bloomfield. Here we are. Terrorism in Austin, Texas two weeks ago. It is what it is what it is. The assault isn't on Jews specifically, although there are absolutely Jews being targeted. It's on Western civilization. And who is egging it on? My view is Senator Chris Murphy. The issue is the total lack of connection to reality. What did you think was going to happen? This is all going to be over in three days? Why would it all be over in three days? Now, if it was over in three days, you would want to ask why wasn't it over in two days? Lives have been lost. There was a fueling issue, a U.S. Air Force refueling plane crash in Iraq, and four crew members were killed. And it is horrifying. absolutely horrifying this is the fight we're in and we have to be in it until this regime is gone and done and the answer is yes it is necessary it is important we have been in this fight for 47 years
The murder of Colonel William Higgins, July 1989, Iran-backed Hezbollah killed U.S. Marine Colonel William Higgins after kidnapping him the previous year while he was serving with a UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon. That is one of just a never-ending number of terrorist attacks done by the Iranian regime or supported financially by the Iranian regime. Since 1979, we should just sit there and take it. Horrifying take. foolish, ignorant, dumb, destructive. This should have happened years ago. It's happening now. It's not going to happen overnight. We see terrorism right here in the United States. It is us or it is them and I choose us. I'm not so sure about Senator Chris Murphy. Maybe somebody should ask him. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Today on the marketplace, baby jail, Tony Katz, 93 WIBC. Good morning. Good to be with you. During downtime, clearing my head, getting ready for it's next on the show. It's waiting for you. Indiana unclaimed.gov. Matt Baer joined me from the WIBC Traffic Center. Good to see all the people in the live stream by the way. We know that the app has been having a whole sorts of problems, so more people in the live stream. It's good. I'm looking forward to getting a camera there into the traffic center so you can see Matt Baer as well. uh because uh i saw him yesterday and he was wearing a shirt that was only two sizes too small i knew you were going to bring i knew you were going to bring this up i knew you were going to bring this up yeah shirt fit well thank you very much did it yes yeah felt perfectly you had lots of room to breathe i i feel good purchased directly from the jc penny girls department you so what i mean you got to you can afford what you can afford you know Yeah, that's the issue. That's the issue. It was good seeing you, man. I know, wasn't it? Yeah. I was I went for the mandatory training and then I said, I have to go now. You learn nothing. I don't know if I learned nothing.
But I if I did, you know, it was a Vegas rules. What happens there stays there. So yeah, I'm, I'm a guy who, who holds firm to that. So I'm saying nothing. But if you ask me later, I'll tell you everything. Oh, oh, juicy. I'll tell you. I'll tell you. Matt, do you have any babies? No, no, no, no, nothing on that. No, no, no dependents. I wish I had them for the. Tax break. Right. Right, because that's what kids are. Kids are a tax break. What else are they good for? They can't work. All I know is, is if you have kids, you're all of a sudden flush with cash. Just ask any parents out there. We go now to producer Carl with a new baby at home. Carl, how's the money flowing? It's going right out of my pocket. Right out of his pocket. Going out of my pocket. I got a little paycheck to paycheck. How are you people? Matt just described radio, by the way. Perfectly. You guys with your disposable income. Sick. With your families and disposable income and savings accounts. Well, I'm going to dinner. Look at me. Right. We don't just sit around to eat oatmeal wondering what happened. Hey. But let's say you had more than one, baby. Let's say you had four. Good Lord. Giving me an anxiety attack. This is a quad crib from a nursery church daycare. This is baby jail, Matt Bear. It is two by two. So two on the top. Like think of it as bunk beds for cribs, but there's four of them. Two and then two. And then the gate, like a garage door, goes up. So it's not side to side. It goes up and then comes down. It's baby jail. Yeah, that's where you fingerprint the child. Yes. Yes, one of these is holding and then one of these is booking. And then one of these is for drying out because sometimes people have a problem, that. I've been saying for years that we go too lenient on babies as a matter of fact. If we required everybody to put one of these in their houses, they learn early. i'm not gonna lie they're a scourge and they need to know yeah hey you heard it here first um right well put him in the baby jail and when they're like why am i in baby jail you tell them that's what you get for being good imagine what happens if you're bad i see tell them nice by the way i i kid you not My father used to tell that as a joke. It was a much rougher joke. Since the age of seven, since I was seven, he used to discuss that. Like, that was a normal thing. That's pretty awesome. I really grew up differently than you day. Yeah, that explains you, Tony. I just want to share. It is 75 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 72 inches tall. which is exactly the measurements Matt Bear has on his Tinder account. The only problem is it does, let's see, it's made of wood. I want it to be metal with metal bars. Yeah, no, no, this is made of wood, so it's more homey. It's at a church in Burn, Indiana, used in great shape. And if you buy these new, according to the listing, it is insanely expensive.
Well, it takes up a lot of room. I mean, it's, I'm trying to think of what I could use it for without babies. And really, it's just, it's not very practical unless you actually have that baby in your home, that delicious text break, you know. I'm trying to think who it's for. I, I, uh, my videographer is having triplets. Oh, wow. That's like seven. And so he's like, oh, interesting. You need to get that for him as a gift. Don't tell me I need to get this for him. Tony, there are four slots here. That means he has room for one more. Oh, I think he already has one at home. Okay. Wow. Yeah. An eight-year-old can fit in here. Oh, you're sure? Yeah. Just stuff. Sure, an eight-year-olds can fit in here. Way to make it weird. This is a new timeout chair. This is, go sit and this is $600, MacDough. I'm out. Yeah. I've never seen $600 in my life. Correct. Why? Radio. Well, a couple of things involved in there. But yeah, that's part of it. Just remember, everybody, if you're looking for a career that's guaranteed to get you nowhere and make you wonder why you made choices in your life, radio. Yeah. It's waiting for you.
I'm laughing because I'd cry otherwise. All right. Right. We're only laughing because we ran out of tears. Finally, the YouTube stream can see me cry. They would pay money to see you cry over there at the live stream. It's a motley crew down there. Let me tell you. We got to get some video up and running. I'll make that happen. Get done. So this is on the marketplace. If you pick it up, let us know. We want to see your babies in jail. If you can send Matt Bear photos of your baby in jail, that would be great. Baby mugshot. A jail baby. A baby mugshot. Baby mugshot. That's the future. Annie Leibowitz, get on it. I just wrote this down, actually. Baby mugshot. I'd buy that calendar. Make it a fortune. Buy that calendar. Moving to Carmel. No one's moving to Carmel. What are you talking about? The money I'm making, I'm going to buy Carmel. Okay. I will be a mayor. I will be an Uber driver. Sorry. You got a plan, do you? Yeah, a good one. Good one. Good enough. So we know the suspect in the shooting at Old Dominion University. Was a guy who spent time in prison. for his connections to ISIL, let's call it ISIS. Tony Katz 93 WIBC, good morning. Was led out of jail early, still went on to kill. If it wasn't for a good guy with a knife, that guy could have killed more people. We know the suspect in the attack on the synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
We have a name. We have a possibility of motive. A Lebanese-born American citizen. His family suffered losses in southern Lebanon. And he decided he was going to take it out on a place called Temple Israel, a large reformed Jewish synagogue. It's actually the largest, I believe, in the country. A truck filled with explosives, as reported. Coringer reports he then got out of the vehicle. If it wasn't for a good guy with a gun, a security team at that synagogue where there were children, 140 children. Lord only knows what would have happened. We're all infuriated and disgusted by what happened with the bombing of a school in Iran, and how could that have happened? And it's still a preliminary report, and we don't know if it was just the United States with bad data, was something else to play. The preliminary report says bad data. You would hear none of these people being outraged about children being slaughtered because we have kids killed on the streets, and they don't have any outrage.
And then we have the story of right here in Indiana, in Carmel, story that there's going to be a Holocaust remembrance event. And there's a page for it, a Facebook page for it, and it got... filled with anti-Semitic this, that, and the other. And there's been commentary from the mayors to Finkum and others, and we're aware of these things. As long as we're all in the basic understanding, that if we're questioning whether or not there's a targeting of Jews by the political left and the woke right, we don't have to question. We know this to be fact. We don't understand that everything we're seeing from old dominion and this synagogue attack, these acts of terrorism are about the destruction of us as a society. Well, then we're not being honest. The end goal is the destruction of us as a society. The end goal of absolute schmucks writing things on social media is the same thing that I get in my social media. It's to try and demoralize. Nah. Now, there's more of us than there are of them. Which is the point. A lot of people are going to discuss, oh, have pity on me. No, no, no, no, no, no. Being aware. is valuable. Recognizing is important. And then there's more of us than there are of them. You think the bigots are in charge or in control? Oh, hell no. Rational people are in charge and in control. We're the rational people. But that only comes from an understanding of what it is we're dealing with. And really, what it is going to take to deal with this.
I can't stop people from hating other people. I've never been able to do that. We need to stop racism. No, you, you aren't going to stop people from doing this. What you need to make sure is that when these things engage, we happen, we discuss. Same thing is true with, well, name the thing, including anti-Semitism. But all of this is about a absolute attack on society. to try and scare us into not being us as Americans. That's what Old Dominion is, and that's what the synagogue attack is. And we have to win and they have to lose. We have to discuss how that works. There are some things we can't do anything about, and there are some things we can absolutely do something about. We will discuss it. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Right now, your local Toyota dealer has great deals available on some of the most reliable trucks on the market, like the off-road ready to coma, rugged full-sized tundra, and legendary forerunner, each with the space, tech, and features to handle it all, from the work site to the trails.
