So ICE was at the airports, but not in Indianapolis. Tony Katz, 93 WIBC, good morning. And ICE did very, very good work. Helping move things through at airports, like in Atlanta, where, of course, protesters came out because they don't have jobs. These people do not have jobs. or life or anything else, they're protesting ICE helping people get to spring break and to see grandma. How in the world can you vote for these people? How? They're opposed to everything. They're opposed to you noticing when people are here illegally. They're opposed to removing people illegally from the country, and they want you to stand online for five, six, seven hours. the weirdest they're the weirdest but they were not deployed in indianapolis indianapolis a statement from the airport authority saying well tsa has reported some call-offs stabbing impacts at indi remain well below the national average The call-offs here were 4 to 8% compared to the 10% national average. We remain in close communication with our TSA partners and continue to offer support as needed to ensure travelers have a smooth and pleasant experience at the airport. Now, there were some people who were like, this is a, it's a slap in the face. One person is a woman quitting her job in the TSA. It's wrong that ICE get paid if she isn't. No, it's wrong that you're not getting paid. It isn't wrong that ICE is getting paid. It's wrong that you're not getting paid. I wholeheartedly agree. I'm a guy who's not a fan of the TSA in the slightest. I think we should be private. Do you know San Francisco does private security? San Francisco doesn't utilize TSA? I read that in a story, you know, that woman, a legal immigrant who was arrested and it came up in that story. And I was like, I didn't know that that happened. That's good. I do think the security should be airport to airport. So right now, according to a piece over at...
At Fox 59, the quotes from Kevin Smith is the president of the American Federation of Government Employees. Union. You've had six TSA officers quit out of Indianapolis. At least six. But everything we hear from here is that things are flowing nicely. Yeah, Indy was never going to be the big problem. It's those hubs. It's those connections coming in. All of it. Now, maybe. We're past this. Maybe with ICE there, we're done. And maybe moves made by Republicans, including Senator John Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s concept, let's just do it all under reconciliation and forget these ridiculous progressives who like seeing people in pain. Maybe that'll happen. TSA will get funded and we can get back to some level of normal. Now if we can only get people to not show up in their pajamas. Yeah, you're wrong. Stop thinking you have to be the most comfortable person in the world. You're wrong. You're wrong. I'm Tony Katz. I just said you're wrong. You're wrong. I will say it anywhere. I will go to the airport and I will hold a sign. And I will say if you're wearing pajamas, chances are you're a terrible person. Those chances are 100%. I will make that sign. It's a little bit long. It's going to have to be tall. And I will wear that sign. If you're under the age of four and you're wearing pajamas to the airport, you're wrong. And if you're 11 and you're like, well, my mom said it was okay, your mom's terrible. Enjoy the ride to school kids. Send your emails, if you would, to Tony Kinnett at yahoo.com. Now, I have got a whole bunch that I want to get to. But with all the gas prices going up, what was the, can you check with Ryan Hedrick? What was the average in Indiana? Because there's a whole conversation whether Braun should do away with the gas tax to help alleviate some pressure at the pump. I would tell Governor Braun to do away with the gas tax. And that's it. That's where I'd leave it. Just do away with the gas tax. Enough of this already. The roads aren't better. Let's find another way. Gas prices are going up. And so there's this conversation about how electric vehicles might have a bit of a renaissance. But as we have seen, the amount that companies have lost because of their electric vehicles, the billions of dollars. They still have them on the lots, and they're selling them at discounts. My issue is I haven't seen the real discounts. If this failed, and we should be clear in the vast majority of cases, it did. And I'm not an anti-electric vehicle guy. You guys know, I drove the lightning, which is the Ford pickup electric. Unbelievable car. Unbelievable. But when I looked at price tag, I said, this is not what I'm buying. Because although it had been discounted, it's nowhere near what it needs to be. By the way, the average, thank you, Ryan Hedrick from the WIBC Newsroom, the average gallon price, $3.97 in the state of Indiana. Yeah, that's Biden era pricing. Could very well be short term. This could all be different in a week, which is why I'm not particularly worked up by it. We know that there is a reason for it, and that reason can change. Now, I wish the administration done a better job of explaining that to America, getting them on board, as opposed to keeping them at arm's length. It's just, it's a mistake of this administration. There are a lot of good things that have happened. This is a mistake of the administration. So could you see even more discounts on electric vehicles? But I'm talking about getting things out of the 60, 70, 80 range, and into the 30, 40, 50, 50 range, where people could consider buying. That's the question. They'll argue that things went from, let's say, when the tax credit expired of 41,000 down to 35,000. That's on very, very specific, specific models, not the great panoply that was put out there by car manufacturers.
They're going to have to come to grips with the fact that if they don't discount heavily and just take the loss and move on, these things are just going to sit and sit and sit and sit. And a short spike in gas prices, I am not so sure, moves the needle so greatly. But that's not the popcorn moment. This is. There is a woman who was murdered in Chicago, as many people get murdered in Chicago. They're not the only place. Her name was Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old from New York. She was shot dead walking with friends near the campus of Loyola University. And a Chicago alderwoman by the name of Maria Haddon has decided that, well, the reason for this could be anything. You know, she was just... probably in the wrong place and the wrong time. And, you know, she could have just done this to herself. All the time, right? And they go out on the pier, they walk around. So the kids were out doing normal, normal things people do in the neighborhood. And it sounds like this might have been a wrong place, wrong time, running into a person who had a gun. They might have startled this person at the end of the pier unintentionally. But that's all the time. That is blaming the victim. That is defending the murderer. As Moore is coming out about this illegal Venezuelan migrant. I'm sorry, illegal immigrants. 25. This would not have happened had he not been allowed in the country. And the Democrats want to say, wrong place, wrong time. Yes, this illegal immigrant was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And that's the fault of the Biden administration. That's the fault of the Democrats who want to fight against ICE and against federal law enforcement to remove these people. The mayor, the dopey Brandon Johnson. He is a dope. I know he's going to call me a racist. You can bite me. Now, kids going to school, that is not the kind of expression that you should use after first period. So get it out early. Right, Matt Baer, that's how you teach the children? Yeah, absolutely. Get it done quick. And then move on. Yell at a kid sister a couple of times and then get it out of your system. Yeah, just right now, right in the car, while you're in the car, just, just say, hey, mom. And then boom. Roll down your window and yell it at the car next to you. Yeah, that's also good, especially if that car is a cop. Yeah. Just roll down the window. Ooh, good times, baby. Just yell that. Yeah. You know, we really should go into the daycare business. I know it, right? Right. That's absolutely true. That's money. Money, money, money. The argument is not that the American citizen was walking anywhere in America the wrong place, the wrong time. We're American citizens. We walk around the United States of America. But if we don't have people in the country who are supposed to be here, or I'm sorry, if we have people in the country who aren't supposed to be here, if we allow this, if we don't check who's in the country.
We're making a massive mistake. Now you say to me, Tony, a citizen could have done this. I don't disagree. I never said that everything is perfectly safe. And culturally, we have a lot to work on. But can't we at the very least agree that people in the country illegally shouldn't be in the country? And we could stop 100% of these things from happening if people in the country illegally weren't allowed in the country? It's a standard and it is okay to have a standard. You are not wrong, you are not rude, you are not mean for having a standard and the standard is. We vet who is coming into the country and some people we say yes to and some people we say no to and that's that. Does it mean you can eliminate all bad things? Of course not. There is no way to eliminate all bad things. But we at least have a chance. And I think we should take the chance. Don't forget to enroll at the Tony Katz Matt Bear, the Cats and Bear Learing Center. At the Cats and Bear Learing Center, your kids will get a top flight early education, helping to prepare them for the world ahead. Cats and Bear, not that scary. Did you pay for that? That was really good. Yeah, I know. I know. We're going to have to get ourselves a piece of property and maybe a swing set. That's what if that's all it takes. Yeah, we're going to eat some juice and crackers for snack time. But no Sunny D. There will be no Sunny D at the Cats and Bear Learing Center. I've got a nutrition plan. I'll install for all. Oh, meal for all your kids. That's where you start. But then, you know, the dietary restraint. Yeah, I'll take care of all then. Okay, good. Yeah, also do traffic. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Right now, your local Toyota dealer has great deals available on some of the most reliable trucks on the market, like the off-road ready Tacoma, rugged full-sized tundra, and legendary forerunner, each with the space, tech, and features to handle it all, from the work site to the trails. It means driving for less, with efficient hybrid options available, extending your overall driving range and delivering great MPGs, meaning bigger savings at the pump without sacrificing power. And it means trading for more. The Tacoma and Tundra are ranked number one and number two in resale value over all vehicles, according to Kelly Boo Book, which can mean thousands more than average right back in your pocket when it's time to trade in. That's Toyota affordability. Buy smart, drive for less, and trade for more. Shop Toyota.com or your local dealer for deals and details. Vehicles projected resale value is specific to the 2026 model year. For more information, visit Kelly Blue Books, KB.com. Toyota brand average resale value is 53% versus the average vehicle at 45%. Toyota, let's go places. Today on the marketplace, everybody needs their own mini-tank kind of thing. I honestly don't know what this is. Tony Katz, 93 WIBC. Good morning. During downtime, clearing my head, getting ready for what's next on the show. I find myself on Facebook Marketplace. Cool stuff, odd stuff, weird stuff, strange stuff, all sorts of stuff is on the marketplace. I bring it to you, the Marketplace segment brought to you by Indianaunclaimed.gov. It is your cash. My gosh, go get it. Indianaunclaim.gov. Fast, easy.
Free to use text my name Tony, T-O-N-Y. Text Tony to 46220 to get started. There's cash waiting for you. It's not real estate. It's not actual goods. It's dollars. It's waiting for you. Indianaunclaim.gov. It's your money. Go get it. Matt Bear, are you an ATV guy? Only because, no, only because I don't have access to them, I think. I think I'd really enjoy it. But if you had access to them, Would you be an ATV guy? Yeah, I think they're fun. Super cool. Yeah. For the record, I would be an ATV guy. No question I'd be an ATV guy. And I probably would have already fallen off and broken something. Oh, that's definite. Oh, absolutely. Yes. I thought I would have fallen off and broken something. Absolutely, yes. Well, I mean, me too. This is a 1994 Argo six by six. This is, so Argo is a line of amphibious utility terrain vehicles designed for extreme off-road performance on land, water, and mud, which of course is neither land nor water. It's a hybrid like Ublec. That's right. Ublec. You don't know what that is, Matt? No, no, I'm watching the video of this guy on the ATP here. Yeah. So it's got six wheels, three on each side. It looks like tracks, but they're not track. It actually is tracks, but it's three wheelers and it's got a track around it. And. And you can go in all sorts of directions. How awesome is this thing? So cool. I thought it was a child's toy at first. It is definitely not. I thought it was a child's toy at first, too. And then I realized you could take over some small nations with seven of these things. You could take down the... That's cool. You can take down the Berlin Wall. Hold on a second, Matt. Hey, Carl. Yeah? No. Sorry, Matt. We were talking. No. You know, on the front of this thing, it has one of those hitches that you could, like, pull the truck out of a ditch. Yes, it's called a winch. Oh, yeah, that's one of those. It's called the winch. But now the issue here, it's 1994. So do the math carried it to this thing is 32,000 years old. Oh, wow. Yeah. Right. BC. Yo, you're PC. Of course, BC. I'm looking at this and I don't know. I'm trying to think of just because of the way I am, the practical purpose you'd have this, but this is just fun. You just want this for the fun. I mean, you're going to kill your lawn. You're going to kill all your landscaping, but who cares? It's well worth it. Oh, yeah. But it's $4,250. Oh, well, I don't know. I mean, if I had the cash, I'd be tempted because I don't think I've ever seen one of these like this. And you do have the trailer hitch on the front, so there is some sort of practical purpose to it, right? I think this would be a good time to mention everybody that, you know, Matt Bear and I can be invited out to your farm to do some ATV. Yeah. Oh, I definitely would.
As a matter of fact, we were talking the other day, as we often do. And we're like, I'm amazed nobody's invited us to their farm to go ATV. You know, I could give rides. I could drive people around the property and make some money. Just put somebody in the passenger seat. Yeah, this would be fun. I would really enjoy this. Yeah. You need it for Indianapolis's potholes. Oh, clearly. Oh, yeah. That's right. You just want to survive Indy. You're right. You're right. See? See, you redeemed yourself. Our potholes are so great that would definitely swallow one of these. It is available on the marketplace. We've got it listed at WIBBC.com. So check it out for yourself. This could be. This could be what it is you've always dreamed of. An opportunity to go for a ride with Matt there. Always dreamed of. Always dreamed of. Right. Make it happen, people. Don't let us down. If I don't see Matt shirtless on an ATV by the end of the week, I'm sorry, if the chat room doesn't see Matt Behr shirtless on an ATV by the end of the week. People are going to be pretty upset. Right, right, right, right. You have a fan base in the chat room, Matt there. No, I think it's a cool group. I mean, they're not even shy. No, not a bit. I've noticed that. Very uninhibited. Oh, uninhibited. Some of them want photos. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think any of those exist. Yeah, well, let's hope. Tony cats. Wait, can I make, I just don't see if I can make it any more weird. Can we make it any more weird? I was going to go in the universe. I believe in you. Okay. I'm going to go now. Go do this. I'm going to continue with the show. All right. Thanks. We should rehearse. Tony Katz 93 WIBC. Good morning. The negotiation didn't have a path of citizenship. It was entirely on their terms in order to get Ukraine funding, right?
Well, I mean, Chris, that's been a failed play for 20 years. So you are right that that has been the democratic strategy for 30 years, maybe. And it has failed to deliver for the people we care about most, the undocumented Americans that are in this country. Oh. Huh. The people we care about most. The undocumented Americans who are in this country. That's Senator Chris Murphy, Betamale, Connecticut. Tony Katz at 93 WIBC. Good morning. Good to be with you. Don't ask me why he said that on MS now. Don't ask me why this was his conversation piece. But you can always rely on Senator Chris Murphy to be wrong about everything. Always. And as we have shown, as he has said and as we have exposed, his philosophy is America is the problem. He doesn't believe in ending a terrorist regime. He doesn't believe in ending illegal immigration. He doesn't believe in the deportation of illegal immigrants. He doesn't believe in the safety and security of the nation with his opposition to funding Department of Homeland Security. It's who he is. I'd be fine with getting rid of DHS and moving things back into other organizations. But the issue is we have it here. It's not getting funded and you've created a more dangerous situation, Chris Murphy. And who does he care about most? Who is the person he cares about most? It's been the democratic strategy for 30 years, maybe, and it has failed to deliver for the people we care about most, the undocumented Americans that are in this country. Now, maybe he just misspoke, and he didn't mean it like that, and he got a little tongue tied. Maybe. Maybe Tammy Duckworth. got a little tongue tied, the senator there from Illinois, saying under the Save Act, which Trump calls the Save America Act, this is about voter ID. You cannot use your driver's license to register to vote. Republicans want you to buy a passport instead, if you can't afford one, this is a modern day poll tax. No, it is not. But don't ever let the truth get in the way of a progressive doing progressive things. Senator Mike Lee, responding that this is a lie. Read the damn bill. The text beginning, that's what he wrote. The text beginning on page 12, line 22 makes abundantly clear that what you're saying isn't true. Why can't Senate Democrats argue against this bill without line? Because they can't. Because they can't. They can't do it. They're not capable of it. Neither, by the way, are Indiana Democrats who still. take everything from the national as gospel as opposed to focusing on local listeners. The only guy who I think comes close every now and again is J.Doug Ford. I think I disagree with him on 900 things. I think he might be somebody who actually understands how to approach things from an Indiana perspective. I don't hear from anybody else. Of course they're lying about it.
President Trump has said, I'm not signing anything until we pass this. It's not going to pass. Call for the vote and it's not going to pass. But put these people on the record. Get it done. Why are we waiting? And then utilize it as aggressively as you can to try and win the midterms. Oh, the midterms. This has not been a good month for the Republican Party. But I know what people are saying out there. Republicans are going to get destroyed in the midterms. Maybe. But I put forth this hasn't been a good month for the Democratic Party. I am not yet to a place where I'm going to engage the conversation. I'm formulating. But my gut, you know what? I'll hold. I'll keep my powder dry just a few more days. What is Toyota affordability?
