So as reported by WIBC.com, you've got Mike Braun. signing a letter of intent with Eli Lilly regarding nuclear energy. Tony Katz 93 WIBC. Good morning. Good to be with you. I get to do this show every day. It's a good time. Writing as she did, Governor Braun signed a letter of intent with Eli Lilly to collaborate on a future pathway for nuclear energy solutions in Indiana. including small modular reactors and other advanced nuclear technologies. The SMR, small modular reactors, could be an answer to the power issues that come from questions like data centers. And again, for the people in the cheap seats, this radicalness against data centers is silly? and nonsensical it is mob mentality and y'all look crazy power questions are legit water questions are legit But the water thing seems to go back and forth because I hear people talking about it and I also see strong pushback against the idea, meaning that water is not as much of an issue as is described because a lot of these things are closed systems and the water is engaged in cooling and recirculating. But it's still at least, okay, explain how it works. The power drain from, for example, a data center is legit. We had made the argument here that instead of being anti-data center, force the data centers to create the power for their data center and then push data power back to the city that you're in. That's part of the deal. You need the ground for the data center. You need the permitting for the data center. This is what you provide. I don't see why that's an issue. I do think it's weird to think that we should have this massive moratorium on them. There are places in Indiana that have got the space and would love the tax base. I can appreciate that there are some places that this is a neighborhood and there's going to be noise and we don't want it.

It is the mob mentality that is beyond ignorance from the left and from the right. And it is a mob mentality and it is ignorance. And it is this pseudo intellectual conversation regarding anti-growth that we need to do away with in Indiana. We're not a sleepy little state anymore. We ain't homespun. Do we keep character? Do we remember from whence we come, the good and the bad, the great, the terrible? All of it. It's why when you take a look at something like the mid-state corridor, this idea of cutting through southern Indiana, I'm not opposed to roadways, but if you show me studies where the amount of time saved one way is seven minutes, I don't cut through family farms for seven minutes. No. No, some of that is valuable. Every time we take an old school town square and instead of revitalizing it, we're like, well, let's just tear it down and let's put up these ridiculous beige and purple buildings and make it look like something that's old school. But really, it's all homogenized garbage. I'm not specifically calling out Carmel. I'm not specifically calling out Carmel. I'm not specifically calling out Carmel. I'm not. I swear to you, I'm not. But they did too much of that. They did. They did build something amazing, but they also built something that's never going to have the character of Zionsville or Noblesville, utilizing the north side just for the sake of this conversation. It's just the truth. You want the character. We also want the farms, and we want the family farms. And for a seven-minute reduction, I wouldn't get rid of anything. That was the studies that I read. But the idea of saying there's a growth opportunity here and making sure we can develop our own power, not taking it from the grid, that's a value. For over 150 years, or actually, I should say for 150 years, states Dave Ricks, the CEO of Lilly. Lily has grown alongside Indiana. Advancing nuclear technology represents the kind of bold, clean energy solution. Our state needs to power the next generation of innovation and directly supports Lilly's own commitment to reduce our environmental footprint. We're proud to partner with the state to help make it a reality. You don't have to bring up the environmental footprint craziness with us, sir. That's fine. I don't know if SMRs are the answer. I know that pretending that we're not going to grow or acting like we shouldn't grow is not the answer. And that as an agenda point is a ridiculous, terrible agenda point from the left and from the right. It's a question of how to grow well, smart, practical. What provides the real value add? And if we're not going to be the place of data centers, what do you want to be the place of? Which, there's never an answer. And that's how you know these people are anti-growth ridiculous. We have no room for anti-growth ridiculous. There's some counties that want the data centers. I say let them have them. Let them build as they see fit. But let's not be opposed to the growth. Curious what these SMRs are going to mean for Lilly's Footprints and...

In doing this, do other companies follow what types of businesses and are we ready to serve them? Which creates a better Indiana. Notice, I didn't say we should give away billions in tax breaks. My argument is we should be welcome to them providing their own power and creating business opportunities for us. I don't know how that's not a winning argument. I really don't. Tony Katz 93 WIBC. It's a story you need to hear to believe, then grab your popcorn because there is more. Did I say hello, Tony Katz? That's me. What's going on, everybody? 93 WIBC, good morning. Live streaming there on the YouTube's. Check it out for yourself. The chat room is there. Join the kittens. They're adorable this morning. I am draped in linen. I don't know why. It's just what I grabbed. Just grab the, uh, comfy. I'll tell somebody thought I was wearing pajamas. Nope, just linen. If you missed some of his talk, Justice Clarence Thomas was speaking. He was at an event and he was giving the full-throated defense. of the American way of life by engaging the reality of the issues with progressivism. This was some of that talk from Clarence Thomas. If it came through, that would be amazing. But it did not. Good gosh. It really was something else to not to hear him. I've heard him before, but rather to hear such an honest description. And I'm sorry that my audio is giving me a hassle right now. Such an honest description and explanation of look what we've done to the country. Look what we're doing to the country. What is it that we're actually standing for? This is a massive, massive issue and an undertaking that we have to undertake. Yep. I do not know what just happened. Every single audio clip just knocking me out. I think if we don't stand up and take ownership of our country and take responsible for it, we are slowly letting others control how we think and what we think. I think the beauty of going to school is that you learn how to think for yourselves. You develop the discipline to think things through. If you think it's losing confidence, then you get up and you participate. You don't sit on the sidelines. You think that the state is being run inconsistent with how you feel, then you get up and you participate. You prepare yourself if you think that the medical profession is not right. When you become a doctor or a medical person, and you deal with that. I think we need to take ownership of our country. It's our country. Anytime someone's talking about personal responsibility, I'm all in. Completely all in. Now, I do want to share this with you. I'll try and get to in the next hour. Really sorry about that. It was playing earlier. Don't know what happened with some of those clips. But it seems rare.

12:42

rare that we hear these important conversations of the value of personal responsibility somehow it's always somebody else's fault somehow we have to change things regarding the collective no thanks nation of laws not a nation of men and it is our job when we see things wrong to get involved which is why the fight is everlasting It's annoying. It's tiring sometimes, but it is true. It is true. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Today on the marketplace, ladies and gentlemen, I am speechless. I don't know what to say, and I'm not quite sure how I'm going to explain it to you. Tony Katz 93 WIBC, good morning, guys. Good to be with you. Listen, during downtime, I'm clearing my head. I'm getting ready for what's next on the show. I find myself on Facebook Marketplace. They've got all sorts of stuff, cool stuff, odd stuff, weird stuff, strange stuff. And it's all there on the Marketplace. And I'm looking at it. The Marketplace segment brought to you by Indiana Unclaimed.gov. Fast, easy, free to use. Just go to Indianaunclaimed.gov or text my name, Tony. Text my name, Tony, the 46220 to get started. Matt Bear joins me. He's in the WIBC. Traffic Center. We are live streaming, by the way. Go to YouTube. Just go to WIBC and subscribe. Matt, I have provided to you, to the people of Indianapolis, nay, to America. many, many items on the marketplace. As a believer in capitalism, uh, it is cool to see people taking their things and selling them and finding ways to use them and other people can find use for them. It's, it's pretty great. Facebook, they suck, but, uh, but marketplace pretty fantastic. And sometimes I've run across and you would agree, Matt Bear, some odd, strange things. Very odd, very strange. Yeah. Um, hold my latte. Oh. This is an awesome hand-painted Ghana movie poster from E.T. painted on a flower sack and signed. All right. What do I find this at, Tony? Cats. Click the link. Oh. I want to be clear. Oh. This is, what was the name of the little kid? Hold on. Don't laugh yet. Don't. I got to explain it.

15:43

What was the name of the kid in ET? Billy. Was it Billy? No, Elliot. Elliot. Elliot, thank you. Couldn't remember his name for a second. Billy Bob. You know what Elliot looks like. Yeah, he's a kid. Yeah, yeah. This is a painting of E.T. with his arm around Michael Jackson. Now. It's not Michael Jackson before the plastic surgery. It's not Michael Jackson after the plastic surgery. It's Michael Jackson if you took the before and the after and kind of merged them together and then aged them 50 years from right now. This is post ABC 123. This is after those days. Yeah. E.T. has got his right arm around this Michael Jackson Elliott. And his pointer finger has this gigantic fingernail. I mean, you would think he's doing the ouch thing, like, like, you know, and, and, and, and doing the thing with the finger. That is a cocaine fingernail, ladies and gentlemen. And while this is happening, there is another arm draped across the front of the Michael Jackson, Elliot. And the hand looks like a foot. And I don't know whose hand it is. In the background is one of the creatures from aliens. Attached to a face, it is Bain from the Batman series with an alien covering the entire face with E.T.'s finger touching him. And behind that is the moon. You shall endure. Oh, and then underneath three pineapples. Because what the hell? Or they're egg sacks for aliens. Yeah, I think they're the egg sacks for it. Those are egg sacks, right? Yeah, producer Carl would know an egg sack when he saw it when he saw it. Matt Bear, your take. I think you something up. I was really confused about the xenomorph, the xenomorph on the guy's face here, especially when an ET poster. You're kind of doing some cross-gen, horror family movie thing here with aliens. And honestly, I thought Michael Jackson was Fred Rogers with the red sweater. I really did. Yeah, wait, wait, wait, hold on. Hold on. Butler of, of, wait, what is his name? Butler of Thanos is on X and wants to know is that Lionel, is that Michael Jackson. Or is it Lionel Richie? Or is it Lionel Jackson? Is that actually Michael Jackson meets Lionel Richie pretending to be Elliot? Well played. That might be the win. That might be Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson. Not to mention E.T. has jaundice. Oh, E.T. is a little yellow. He is a little yellow there, especially with that fingernail. And I want this poster badly. I really want this thing. And the best is the face, the smirk on E.T.'s face.

18:31

is saying, when can I be done with this? When's the after party? He has been road hard, put away wet. It was painted on a flour sack, a sack of flour from Ghana. I haven't even gotten there yet. That's on a power sack. I can't get past everything that's on the flower sack right now. There's not going on here. Oh, did I mention the flames? There are flames behind E.T. before you get to the moon. I mean, you were wondering where the hand is from, but, you know, I'm kind of trying to figure out what's on fire at the moment. That's Ripley, off-sack, shooting, or a flamethrower. By the way, I think it's a hand that could be a foot. It could be an elbow. I mean, it's... The best part about this is that if you want it, you have to go to the Bronx. This is in New York, and it's only $500. Oh, come on. Well, see, I mean, at least we don't have the gas tax in Indiana, but once you start getting into Pennsylvania and, you know, you're going to be paying for that extra gas. Yeah, you wouldn't have this shipped. You would drive and pick this up. You wouldn't let this beauty out of your sights. Lock and key on your way out. I'm not going to lie. There's a part of me that wants to do this. I absolutely want to do it. Because nothing would look better in the new urban one offices in the new studios than this. I thought you could put it as a backdrop for you. YouTube stream. I mean, oh, no, no, I can't. It's copyrighted. I can't put it in the live stream here. But I would put this directly in Andrea Care's office, our market manager. I wouldn't even tell her. I would just put it up on the wall and walk away. While she's actually in the office, wouldn't even talk to her. I would just put it up on the wall and leave. Now, would you mount it in a frame first? Oh, this is going to be framed in 24-carat gold. Oh, lovely. Nothing but the best from you. This thing is this thing is so insane it might have to be done. I'm gonna be looking at this for the rest of my Friday. I can't stop. It's just there and it's like speaking to me. And what is it saying to you, Matt? It's saying click on something else. Are you gonna lose your mind? I look at that and it speaks to me and what it says is did Spielberg approve this? That's Basically what I get. Look at it for yourself. Decide for yourself. $500 and they accept Zell or PayPal. Boom. Yeah. I've wasted money on other things. This might happen. Okay. You are all certifiably insane people. All of you. Tony Katz 93 WIBC. Good morning. I'm talking about this artwork we found on Facebook Marketplace, which producer Carl will have posted at WIBBC.com soon. And someone made an AI version of the poster we found, but replaced the Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie. Somebody said, Billy D. Williams, Elliot, with me.

21:46

So it's E.T. If you follow me on Twitter X, they posted it. Steve, I don't know, I don't even know how you did this. Steve Huffman replaced Elliott with me smoking a cigar and I'm wearing the 1959 Hamilton. The cinematic, which is a great watch. That is amazing. Although I look old and tired in that. I've lost weight. I look much better than that now. But not bad, man. Not well done. You are all ridiculous. God, I love this show. It's so good. I have not asked Sean Spicer about this yet. But Sean Spicer, the former press secretary to Donald Trump and the host of the Sean Spicer show and he hosts a morning show called The Huddle. He made some news yesterday, and it's very interesting because it's about the Voting Rights Act, specifically about Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. And what he said was that the Supreme Court are looking at putting an end to the VRA. The argument is that the Voting Rights Act is in violation. I believe the argument is of the 14th and the 15th Amendment. So Section 2, this is 1965, the Voting Rights Act, prohibits any voting practice or procedure that results in the denial or abridgment of the right to vote on account of race, color, or language, minority status. How's that for a doozy? of a statement. So the argument is that if you, in say this, you're actually making a case for how districts need to be districted. And very often you'll hear the idea this was the case in Louisiana, for example, where it's, well, we only have one black district and we have this much black populations. We need another black district. You don't district based on black or white or Jewish or Christian. That's not, that is not fair. That's insane. You district to color. You district to race. You district to name the thing as opposed to population. If we are going to make an argument, outside of whatever is being argued in front of the spring quarter has been. that a district is only a fair district if it has this kind of person representing it as opposed to, right? The characteristic representing it as opposed to the mind representing it or the will of the people representing it. Well, that's crazy talk. So there is now what what Sean has done here is kind of... put into the headspace the idea that the court is looking at doing away with this making changes to it one of those cases louisiana versus calais i bring this up to you because it already has been in front of the supreme court this is something to pay attention to and keep back your heads because this could change a tremendous amount

25:28

regarding how districts are drawn, and we're going to start digging into this heavily next week. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart.
