Do you believe these characters are weirdos? So it looks like it's going to happen. The Hammer and Nigel show. No, I'm not talking about Nigel ever coming back to work. I'm talking about the redistrict plan. My name is Jason Allen Hammer, six feet tall, 220 something pounds. I don't want to talk about that something because it's vacation weight, and that doesn't count. Jim is here. Six foot two, 215, by the way. Thank you. That's how we used to get announced back in the day, and now it's just like, oh, who's this fat guy coming in the studio? Hey, it sounds like this whole redistrict plan, the special session, it's going to happen. reports starting to trickle down that Governor Braun laying toward calling that special session. And I'm sure this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that JD Vance has been here twice. No, no, of course not. No. Look, I think this was always going to happen because Trump wanted it to happen. And he was going to exert as much leverage as possible, whether that were, you know, extra dollars flowing into the state, special favors to the state, you know, were slated to, you know, be one of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, one of those new hubs is supposed to be. be in Indianapolis. All those things can change. And, you know, Donald Trump is, everybody says he's a very transactional politician. He likes to exert his leverage. There have already been threats on social media of, you know, Washington helped primaring some lawmakers that aren't on board with this. I mean, I, you can kind of see that from the Trump administration. Hey, that's a nice state Senate seat you got over there. Be of shame if somebody were to.

3:10

primary it. Which don't threaten me with a good time. There's a number of Indiana Republicans that need to have their backsides primaried. And a lot of them are in leadership positions. Yes. But I'm wondering, because I keep hearing all these people talk about, well, a new poll shows that redistricting is very unpopular. Does anybody really care? Like, I know I ask this question a lot, and maybe this is just a basic, you know, thing. But if you go into any barbershop in Indianapolis right now and say on a scale of one to ten, with 10 being, oh my God, let's freak out, and one being, I don't care, where are you at with... possibly having Andre Carson lose his seat. Yeah, nobody's losing any sleep over that. And I'm not in favor of it. I'm just kind of trying to lay out the way it looks from the perspective of the lawmakers. Are you going to go against Trump? Are you going to risk losing federal dollars for the state? And by the way, all of these Republicans love the Republican Party. They'd love nothing more, even if the constituents don't want it. They'd love nothing more to eliminate those two Democrat House seats in the state of Indiana. So I'm kind of on. an island here because on one hand I feel like you should fight fire with fire other states have been doing this for a long time yeah like this is where rob kendall and I disagree other states have been doing it for a long time I'm not somebody that likes getting punched in the face and not punching back so okay I'm fine with this but on the other hand here how much time and money and resources do we want to spend on this from the same people who screwed up the property tax situation. Well, and what do we get at the end of the day? You mean we get two more Jefferson Shreaves? Oh, wonderful. Great. What do we just get? Two more flip-floppers that sit here and run for mayor and say they want to ban guns in the city of Indianapolis, and then they lose that election so they go run for Congress. We get two more Jeff Shreaves if we do this. Awesome. Right. I wish. The case were you had real Republicans taking the seats. But you know as well as I do. Those are few and far between right now in the state of Indiana. They've gotten so comfortable. And we talked about this yesterday from the Rod Braves of the world to the Todd Houston's of the world. They've gotten so comfortable and their pockets so lined from their lobbyists. They might as well have a D next to their name at this point. Well, and they know. that they've already gerrymandered the state, both from the federal election level, but also the state districts as well. So few of these races are competitive. So they know all they have to do is win their primary. If you're Republican in the vast majority of districts, all you've got to do is win your primary, and you're just about guaranteed to win the general election. And I guess the challenge I have to folks in various parts of Central Indy all over the state, if you don't like one of these guys and they live in your district. primary them or find somebody that's got the clout and the financial backing to primary them. Right. Get them out of there. But that would require people paying attention across the whole state. Here's the other part too. You know, we kind of get...

6:12

caught in this Indianapolis bubble. It's the state capital. We live here. We talk about everything going on at the state house. I can speak from experience the other major population centers around the state. Evansville, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Northwest Indiana. State politics is not discussed on anywhere near the level that it's discussed here in Indianapolis. So I think a lot of people in the outlying areas of the state don't even know that this is going on. Keeping it here in Indy, the artist formerly known as IPL. Now AES. We've been talking about them a lot because they want to raise up your rates. And if they get sold to Black Rock, Black Rock wants to raise those raised rates. Long story short, you're going to get screwed no matter what you do. Of course you are. Yeah, this is like handing a matchbook to an arsonist and saying, hey, do me a favor and guard this abandoned homestanding over here. Black Rock coming in. I mean, this is red flags with dollar signs all over it. Look what we had to do. We had to fight. They wanted a $20 what would have been an average $20 rate increase. We had to fight to get that down to 10. Looks like we'll get a cut in half down to 10. That was with current AES. Now you bring in a private equity group like BlackRock into here. And we're probably going to, in the future, don't be surprised if all of a sudden it's a $40 increase that we're going to fight like hell to get it down to $20. And what if BlackRock changes the name? Does that contract for AES go out the window? That's a great point. Do we get into some legal stuff here? No. AES had the deal of just $10 rate increase, but this new company, we made no such deal. And I love the way this is being rolled out to the public. So like the Department of Public Works, they announced a, quote, more favorable rate deal. It's still an increase from the increase they gave you just a year ago. Back-to-back years of bending you over here. But now it's more favorable. It's not at least $20. It's at least $10 now. And that's just part of the equation is the rate increase. Look, we've all complained about AES and the reliability and the outages and how long it takes them to get the electricity up back and running. Black Rock's going to be worse. So it's more than just the rate increases. It's the reliability. outages, storms, how fast they bring in the power back online. That's a big part of this too. So. AES announced in June, they were seeking that rate change from the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, the IURC. And that was scheduled to increase in 2026. But now it sounds like what was supposed to be a minimum of 20, now will be a minimum of 10, and it goes locked in place until 2030. I'll believe it when I see it. But still, there's no need to do a victory lap here. this quote unquote more favorable deal is still higher than just one year ago. I'm going to give you one more. We haven't give you enough reasons why this deal stinks. I'll give you another one. Nobody has been pushing this green dream, you know, environmentalist crap more than Black Rock has. So if you think we've got a lot of solar and a lot of, you know, new energy wasted money happening right now, you've got to believe that Black Rock, who's been.

9:25

all in on that all up until this point of time. If they get their hands on EAS, we're just going to see more of that here in the state of India. Miss Allison, I need some mood music, please. Go into the chapel and we're going to get mad. It's got a wedding update for you, Jim. Go into the chapel. According to a new survey, 61% of Americans say they would consider a corporate wedding sponsorship if the brand covered more than half of the cost of the wedding. So in theory, it could be an invitation that say, Jim and Casey invite you to the wedding brought to you by BlackRock. And if they were willing to cover half the expense, would you be okay with that? Yeah, so Casey and I actually talked about this. We saw this yesterday. when we were at home and talked about it a little bit. And it fell along gender lines, as you would expect. Of course, the guy's like, yeah, I'm signing up for that. I'm saving half my money on the wedding. And the girl is saying, no, that sullies the sanctity of the ceremony and that cheapens it. We're going to be doing the wobble later on. You don't think that's not soiling the sanctity of the event? You know how much a wedding costs? Right. I'm saving half on that. And all I got, now, Black Rock, maybe not. But I'd take a lovely sponsor. from, I don't know, one of my favorite restaurants or something like that. That would be fabulous or some other business that I fully support. And you're going to give me a 50% off coupon for the wedding? Yeah, I'm signing up for that. Seven days a week. Dude, I can totally sell out for that, even if it's with people I disagree with. If it's the law firm of Keith Oberman and Joy Bahar and they want to sponsor multiple events at the wedding, covering thousands and thousands of dollars, sign me up for that. A scary law firm. Great moments in wedding history. Maybe this is why you should consider the corporate sponsorship here, so you don't have to have weddings in the backyard where... Karen's in the neighborhood start running their lawnmowers and firing up the weed eaters right during the vows. To be your loving and faithful husband. In plenty and in law. That was intentional, too. There was bad blood between the neighbors. And for whatever reason, the neighbor saw the wedding taking place and said, you know what? This is my time to shine. Get the lawnmower out. Get the weed eater out. We're going to fire this bad boy up. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Right now, your local Toyota dealer has great deals available on some of the most reliable trucks on the market, like the off-road ready Tacoma, rugged full-sized tundra, and legendary forerunner, each with the space, tech, and features to handle it all, from the work site to the trails. It means driving for less, with efficient hybrid options available, extending your overall driving range and delivering great MPGs, meaning bigger savings at the pump without sacrificing power.

12:21

And it means trading for more. The Tacoma and Tundra are ranked number one and number two in resale value over all vehicles, according to Kelly Boo Book, which can mean thousands more than average right back in your pocket when it's time to trade in. That's Toyota affordability. Buy smart, drive for less, and trade for more. Shop Toyota.com or your local dealer for deals and details. Vehicles projected resale value is specific to the 2026 model year. For more information, visit Kelly Blue Books KB.com. Toyota brand average resale value is 53% versus the average vehicle at 45%. Toyota, let's go places. You're listening to the Hammer and Nigel show. Talking a little hoop here, let's do that. Indiana, man, never too early to talk a little hoop. I'm Jason Hammer. Jim filling in for Big Nige. And joining us in studio, Tyrone Brown, owner and CEO of the Indiana Lions, they are a member of the ABA. This is the eighth season for the Indiana Lions in the ABA. Tyrone, welcome to the studio. And I think a lot of our listeners listening right now, they might not be... aware that the reboot of the ABA has been going on so long, and there's a team right here in Central Indy. First, I would like to say thank you guys for inviting me. It's an honor to be here. I'm excited about this year's Indiana Alliance. We have two new coaches, Coach Murray, Coach Dewey. We've been around for eight years now playing in Hendricks County. And I want to say thank you to the Hendricks County family for inviting us to be there for eight years. And when you say ABA, I think so many people, the first thing they think of is like those great Pacer teams. You know, Mel Daniels and Roger Brown slick. Leonard, the red, white, and blue ball. How much of that spirit is in the new ABA league? Well, one of the reasons why we wanted to get back into the ABA was to honor those guys. You know, those guys were legends. And being able to recapture some of the glory days that they had and present this to the fans of Indiana was a inspiration to us. And that's one of the reason why we did this. So Tyrone, tell me, how do you get started in this? I mean, like what kind of led you to, you know, run and operate a professional sports team like the, like in the ABA? Well, I'm originally from Chicago. I've been here about 17 years now. Okay. And during a meeting, I met Joe Newman, the CEO and co-founder of the new birth. ABA. And so just talking about my background in sports and management, Joe thought I would be a good owner for the Henders County region, which I live in. And we talked a little bit, and I said, hey, I've been doing tournaments throughout Chicago for years. And I wanted an opportunity to own a franchise. My wife and I, Deborah, want a chance to own a franchise to give people a second and third opportunity. You know, everybody doesn't get drafted. Everybody doesn't go to the pros. But here's an opportunity to get some film.

15:28

play in front of your families. And hopefully one day, you know, a scout might walk past or drive past or come to the game and says, hey, I understand you guys are doing something special. I want to come and take a look at it. And we were kind of talking about that before, you know, we turned the microphones on here. These guys can play. It's not like it's just some open gym. Hey, come over here and put a jersey on. These are dudes that have played overseas and know how the game is played. We have some of the most skilled basketball players in all of Central Indiana and abroad. They're coming from Kentucky. They're coming from Chicago. They're coming from Milwaukee just to play with a franchise like ours that gives them a fair opportunity to get seen. You mentioned you have a sports background. What did you do before you ended up owning and operating an ABA team? I've played in multiple leagues in Chicago. I've ran multiple tournaments. I played... high school basketball, played one-year college basketball. So I have a background. I've been around NBA players a lot of times and just having conversation with them and understanding the mindset of what it takes to be a professional. So I had a son that grew up playing sports and playing ball, so I can only imagine some of the crazy things you've seen running these tournaments before, whether it's... fights or idiot parents running out in the courts. I mean, it doesn't matter if it's travel baseball, AAU basketball, ABA basketball. I'm sure you've probably seen some things. Well, one of the unique rules in the ABA, it's called a 3D light, which means if a turnover is in the back court, there's a 7-second violation, and if there's a turnover, I'm sorry, 8-second violation, and if there's a turnover in the back court, a 2-point it can become a 3. a three-pointer can become a four. Oh, wow. So you're never out of the game. So the frenzy, when the light goes on, everybody yells 3D. And so when you have people that are 60, 70, 80 years old and young kids that's howling 3D, 3D, 3D, 3D. The fans get excited. The players get excited. It's a frenzy. Because it feels like you're never out of the game then. If you can get some back court stops, even if you're down by eight, it's a two-possession game. Exactly. You're never out of the game. And I love the concept that there's a light. So everybody knows. Everybody reminds me of the old blue light special at Kmart back in the days. Everybody gets excited when the light goes on. Everybody starts cheering and chanting when the 3D light goes on. I love that idea. That 3D light comes on. It changes the dynamic about a game, your fans, but the music. is excited because it gives your team a chance. The home opener for the Indiana Lions is in Danville, October 25th. Tell me about how people can go watch this team, get tickets, support this team, and how are you guys doing so far? Well, you can do it multiple ways. You can go online to our Facebook and Instagram. It is just Indiana Lions. Lions is spelled with a Y. Y-O-N-S. Yes, sir. Also, you can go on our website, Indiana Lions.com. Okay. Also, what I want to do for your guest today, I want to give out 100 free tickets to our home opener. Okay. Because I really want them to come out and take a look at it because most people did know the ABA came back, but the Lions have been knocking and push it on the door for the last eight years. And so just come out and see what we do, appreciate it, because some of these guys are local. They just didn't get that second opportunity. And what we're trying to do is give them a second and a third opportunity. Okay. So how do these 100 people get the tickets?

18:49

They can just mention the radio station and come to the gym at 49 North Wayne Street. That's Danville, Indiana, 461-122. Go to the gym in Danville. What's the address again? 49 North Wayne Street. 49 North Wayne Street and just say, hey, I heard the interview on WIBC on Hammer and Nigel. Tyrone said it was cool. We want to come check out the game and they'll take care of you. Exactly. My staff will take care of them. But what I wanted to do, and I really wanted to thank you guys because this is the ABA. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. He came bearing gifts here. And I wanted to present you guys with the red, white, blue basketball. Come on the red, white and blue ball. Here, hold it up on the camera here. Look at that baby. Nice. Oh, man, that's awesome. Classic. I can see the follow-through from Roger Brown right now. It's in my head. I can see the follow-through, man. That's awesome. And you guys got your, like you said, opening day. That's coming up in two days. That's Friday, right? Yes. No, that's Saturday. Saturday, we'll be in Nashville, and the 25th we'll be at home. That is awesome. Go check out the squad, man. This is going to be fun. The Indiana Lions, L-Y-O-N-S. It's their eighth season of the all-new ABA. Games are in Danville. And hold that up to the camera, man. Let's get that up there on the camera. Looking good. Looking good, man. This is the 1973 Indiana Pacers Champions, and this is also the 2023, 50 years later, Indiana Alliance, 50 years later champions. ABA Strong, baby. I love it. I love it. Tyrone, best of luck, man. I hope you guys do your thing this year. Cut down some nets at the end of the year and have a great year. That's the purpose. The purpose is all about the ring. Appreciate you, man. Thank you, guys. It's the Hammer and Nigel Show.

20:34

You're listening to The Hammer and Nigel show. Oh, man. I love watching Venezuelan drug boats get blown up. Captain Steuben right this way. Take that, gopher. I'm Jason Hammer. The dude, as he's been called from time to time, filling in for big nights today. Jim's here. And... Another Venezuelan drugboat blown up into smithereens. I believe this is number six now. It is number six. Whenever I see these, I feel like I'm watching a Michael Bay movie trailer. Just explosions out of nowhere. It does feel like a movie trailer. If it were a Michael Bay movie, you'd see the Venezuelan Coke dealers diving off as the explosion takes place. Nick Cage screaming trying to grab the rope and escape. You know. Trump is laying the stage all across the world. I mean, obviously we had this massive peace agreement that he signed in the Middle East. He told Hamas, you better return those hostages or else there's going to be big trouble. He bullied them to get to the signing table and they signed that peace agreement. And I think we're seeing something very similar play out here in Venezuela. And I love this America First and, you know, strength position that Trump is putting forward. If you're going to run drugboats and bring that poison into our country, we're going to take care of it before it gets here. It's been a bad messaging campaign from the political left here. Because on one hand, while Donald Trump is freeing terrorists from the Israel-Hamas war, the folks on the political left are demanding due process for Coke dealers coming out of Venezuela. Trump does it better than anyone, forcing the Democrats into an awful, terrible position. And you're exactly right, from whether it's, you know, Hamas and Israel to immigration and ice raids. And now we've got these, you know, these drugboats that he's taking care of. Again, forcing the Democrats to support a communist or, you know, leadership in Venezuela and their drug smuggling. There's a post on the Babylon B, the satirical site. It's like a photograph picture of the... Venezuelan heroin boat, cocaine boat, with like a prosecutor being dropped in to give them equal rights. So Trump could come out and say, you know what, I fully support the hydration of all Americans and you should drink eight cups of water a day and Democrats would all of a sudden stop drinking water. 100%. Here is the big scary orange man talking about blowing up Venezuelan drugboats. The way you look at it is every boat that we knock out, we save 25,000 American lives. So every time you see a boat and you feel badly, you say, wow, that's rough. It is rough. But if you lose three people and save 25,000 people, these are people that are killing our population. Every boat is saving 25,000 lives. And you can see it. The boats get hit, and you see that fentanyl all over the ocean. It's like floating in bags. It's all over the place. And it's... It's a tremendous, we're saving tremendous amounts of lives. I saw floating fentanyl open up at Lollapalooza a couple years ago. Yeah, were they good? They were fantastic. Yeah, they're great. Everybody loves it. This is what a war on drugs looks like. Like, I grew up listening to the war on drugs, and all it really did was give you a finger wagging. Blowing Venezuelan drug dealers to hell, putting their corpses at the bottom of the ocean, now that.

24:09

is a war on drugs I can get behind. I love it that we've got six. Let's go for seven. I wonder how many Trump's going to get to. He's probably got a number in mind. I believe our paled Jeff Boggs, not Kenny Rogers, posted on Twitter. If one more gets blown up, we get a free Jersey mic sub, which is awesome. He leaned into that and he held with it from the very first boat to the sixth boat and played it off like it's trade. It's like, hey, go into Jersey mics, show them this tweet and you'll get your free sub. Now, on the subject of the war on drugs. if you will. It might not just be bombings in the ocean. Trump has authorized the CIA to operate in Venezuela as the Trump administration considers. possible airstrikes on where they're manufacturing the drugs and shipping them out to the boats. Where are we at with this? Well, that's a whole other thing. And I heard one political pundit, which I thought was very insightful to say, you know, never take Trump literally, but always take him seriously. So, you know, he's obviously bombastic. He speaks with a lot of hyperbole. So, you know, are we really going to send Americans, whether they're American troops or CIA on the ground in Venezuela? Or is this? all just a threat. Bomb the boats, threaten to send in more. You might be able to get the job done by just talking about it. Meanwhile, here in the United States, out in California, they have a bill called SB 326. State Bill 326 passed out of the State Assembly and State Senate unanimously. Now, let that sink in. Do you know how hard it is to pass a bill with unanimous support, especially in California? State Bill 326 did. And what it was was a fire prevention bill. Seems appropriate since we just had the big fires in California that took out a ton of housing. And this bill would basically correct. Every single wrong decision that either Gavin Newsom or Karen Bass of Los Angeles were responsible for. It would allocate resources. It would give alert time. It's a very big bill. And it was expensive. $250 million. But it passed unanimously. And Gavin Newsom has vetoed it. vetoed the bill because he said it was too expensive. However, he's moving forward with a $250 million ban on gerrymandering in the state. So the money that could, in theory, save Californians, billions of dollars, save homes, save forests, save lives, no. But the gerrymandering bill, which is going to cost the exact... same amount of money, he's all in and full speed ahead, Jay. Yeah, gerrymandering. Every state you go to. I mean, so my guess is what's going on here is Gavin Newsom is just using this for political points because he knows that his veto can be overridden. He's passed unanimously by the California lawmakers. So I'm sure his veto will end up getting overridden on this. But obviously. If they have that option, I'm not sure on California law because this is the third time lawmakers have tried to pass this through.

27:24

So what is it then? He just really wanted the gerrymandering money? That's his pet project. We got 250 million to spend here. We can help save lives and stop fires or we can gerrymander the districts and have more Democrats in Congress. Wow. Okay. I'm surprised about that. Shocked. Third straight year that the lawmakers have tried to pass this. The first year it's been unanimous, and I think we know why it's unanimous, those awful fires that took place. But man. Gavin vetoing this, taking that same money for his pet project to launch himself into the political presidential race of 2028. Probably won't be the last ridiculous thing because he is officially the frontrunner. It's not Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It's not anybody else in the Democrat Party. Gavin Newsom is the frontrunner for the Democrat nomination for 2028, at least for right now. Did anybody watch that? kind of awkward town hall last night that featured Stephen A. Smith, Bill O'Reilly. Congressman Jim Jordan was there. Senator John Fetterman was there. This was moderated on News Nation by Fredo, Chris Andrew Cuomo. And it just seemed like it was an odd group of folks together. But here is friend of the show, Bill O'Reilly, talking about how he's fine with Donald Trump going after James Comey. Retribution is righteous. Revenge is not. I agree with Mr. Jim Jordan here. James Comey is as corrupt as Jad go over. And you read my book killing the mob, you'll see. Always. Always promoting. Always. Okay. James Comey was off the chart. So if I'm president and James Comey has cost my family $150 million, I'm going to get that SOB. And I got grounds to get them. And that's the key. He's got grounds. It's not just a personal vendetta. He's not going after his bully in high school. He's got grounds to go get James Comey. Yeah, these charges aren't made up. These are real things. And James Comey hasn't made, has made a lot of enemies on both sides of the aisle in his time in Washington. So it'll be interesting to see how many people really want to stand up for James Comey at this point. Allison, let me jump to this clip from John Fetterman last night because we're up against a break here. But I thought this was very interesting because... John Fetterman continues an amazing transformation. Like post-stroke John Fetterman, one, he didn't make sense post-stroke. I get that. But he was pretty left. Way left. And now, as time goes by, he seems like he might be one of the only logical Democrats out there. He was asked about the political rhetoric that has led to assassination attempts and ultimately the murder of Charlie Kirk.

30:21

I'm the only Democrat of my family. I grew up in a conservative part of Pennsylvania, and I grew up and I know and I love people that voted for President Trump. But they are not fascists. They're not Nazis. They're not trying to destroy the Constitution and those things. And that's part of another thing. I refuse to call people Nazis or fascists or I would never compare anybody, anybody to Hitler and those things. And now that kinds of extreme rhetoric is going to continue. We're going to be more likely in resulting in extreme kind of outcomes and political violence and doing all these kinds. of things like Charlie Kirk. For me, all I could say is, is like, let people grieve, give people the space. I'm not going to use that terrible thing and that pacic assassination to make my argument and try to put out my views. It's like, my God, you know, he's a father that had his neck blown out by a bullet. And now people have forgotten. President Trump was in my state was shot in the head. And if that would have, could you imagine where our nation would be if he was hit in the same way with Kirk? We really got to turn the temperature down. That was John Fetterman last night talking about the... political rhetoric predominantly of his party. Yeah, and apparently somebody was eating a bag of chips when that audio was going on and being recorded. So I heard that what that was in typical John Fetterman fashion, he had the hoodie on and he had like the microphone on the part of the hoodie that was like wafering and moving around. Oh, he had like the lapel mic and it was scraping against his hoodie and making noise. I thought I was losing my mind. He wasn't going to wear a suit. You knew that. Of course not. I thought somebody was eating a bag of chips there on the stage. Stephen A. was throwing. some lays down while he wasn't talking. Odd town hall last night, but again, post-stroke John Fetterman, voice of reason. Never thought I would say that. It's the Hammer and Nigel show. Hammer and Nigel show. I'm Jason Allen Hammer. Jim, the dude is filling in. And again, I've always said that Casey is your husband. Your wife. Let me get that wrong. Yeah. Yeah, because everybody always says, oh, you're Casey's husband. No, no, no, no, no. Casey's lucky to be married to you. Well, I mean, in this setting, yes, I'm Casey's husband because she's well known and is on the air here every day. I guess in some setting somewhere, haven't run into it yet. She's my wife. But someday maybe I'll have a situation where it turns around the other way. But certainly in this studio, yeah, that's how I'm known, Casey's husband. Well, at 4 o'clock around here, we like to do shots in my office. We've got some courses coming up. You down? Of course. When you say shots, what are we talking about Yeager? We're talking about Irish car bombs? What are we doing here? It's the Hammer and Nigel show.

And it means trading for more. The Tacoma and Tundra are ranked number one and number two in resale value over all vehicles, according to Kelly Boo Book, which can mean thousands more than average right back in your pocket when it's time to trade in. Toyota, let's go places. Hammer and Nigel. Do you believe these characters are weird of us? So let's rock it. So you can protest ice all you want. You could be Chicago or Portland. Make asses of yourselves. But the real reality is that people are flocking to join ice. And ice pays well. It's The Hammer and Nigel show. I'm Jason Hammer. Jim is here filling in for Big Nige. And according to Trishin McLaughlin, she is one of the information folks that works for immigration, custom and enforcement, ICE. A total of 175,000 Americans have applied to join ICE. I think a lot of it is going to have to do with that they're promoting a $50,000 sign-on bonus. Now, from what I've heard, pretty tough to get that $50,000, the full of $50,000, but you can get a prorated amount before that. But I actually, a friend of mine applied for it. An old media guy isn't working right now, applied for a communications job at ICE. So lots of people are doing it clearly, $175,000. Right. And it proves that it's not just about the money, though, because... IMPD is offering a lot of money to join their police force, and they're still having a hard time with recruitment. It all goes back to who your boss is. And I'm not talking about the boss of the IMPD. I'm talking about boss Joe Hogsett and Ryan Mears, the bosses of this city, the reason why you need police officers at record numbers right now. The last five years in the city of Indianapolis.

36:21

Record homicide levels. Now, they will argue and say, they've gone down from the record level that they were responsible for. So don't get it twisted. But, yeah, $50,000 is nice. But I feel like if IMPD offered more than that, they would still have a hard time because nobody wants to have to see Ryan Mears putting the same people back out on the streets or boss Joe Hogsett throwing them under the bus. People want to work for Donald Trump. Well, people want to do something that brings meaning to their life when they take a job. And immigration was the top issue in recent elections, still a top issue. People want to be part of the problem. you know, the solution that's going to solve that problem. And yeah, you're exactly right. Big deal. Okay. Violence is down in Indianapolis from 2021 when it hit a record high, but it's still way ahead pre-COVID levels. Right. There was a time, and it wasn't that long ago. I'm not like I'm old man standing at the cloud here. There was a time not that long ago in Indianapolis where if you got to 100 homicides, you were freaking out. And now 200 is the norm. And if it's not a record, then you've got Captain Drunkass and... Captain Pander Pants, respectively, Joe Hogsett and Ryan Mears, coming out here doing a victory lap. Well, and it doesn't feel like it either. And again, you can say it's down from a few years ago, great. But we have these stories where violence is everywhere in the city. And when it happens downtown and gets a ton of headlines, it doesn't feel like there is a decline in violence. So let's go to this story about the student from the University of North Georgia, because I think this is interesting. A student at a university of North Georgia is complaining to the media now that one of her textbooks listed Christianity as a white supremacist group. This is wild. Kelby Murphy, a senior at that university, had to buy the textbook. which was assigned for her class for a hundred bucks. It was an international public relations course. Okay. It wasn't like it was a religious class. It was international public relations. And in chapter eight, the opening passage kind of rubbed her the wrong way. I came across a sentence in my textbook, and it read identities, describing identities, and one identity that it pointed out was Christianity. And in parentheses, the book reiterated that Christianity is a U.S.-based white supremacist group, which I was mind-blown because the textbook did not... describe any other identities besides Christianity. I had opened my textbook to read Chapter 8, which was titled Contested Identities Shifting Publix in a Globalized World. The way it was worded, it listed several marginalized groups, but then only called Christians to be white supremacist. But the scariest thing is that the book was written in 2007. Therefore, this has been shared for almost 20 years, and it was never questioned.

39:32

That's the bad part, right? For almost 20 years now, this textbook has been just indoctrinating the hell out of people saying Christians are white supremacist, and we're just now hearing about it. There's so much BS in this story right here. I mean, come on. Let's start with number one. They called it... A U.S. based organization, Christianity, a U.S. based organization. I think it started in Bethlehem when Jesus was born, and there's certainly more Christians outside of the United States than in the United States. But what else is so offensive about this is think about the minority communities in this country. Christianity has been the backbone of the Hispanic community and culture for generations. And the same thing with the African American community. I mean, that is a huge part of culture for those minority groups and to label all of Christian. Christianity as white supremacist. And you're right, almost 20 years, and she's the first person to speak up and say anything about it. We always talk about how, like, teachers, ideally, or specifically rather, young teachers, these woke ones, they're the ones pushing their political views on the students. They're the ones pushing the social justice on the students. These teachers right out of college that feel like the students are their best friends, they're coming out to them, they're doing this and that. But don't forget about the folks making the textbooks, too, because I'm wondering, in 20 years from now, what are these textbooks going to say about Joe Biden and Donald Trump? Because I can promise you the people that live during this time can remember Joe Biden being the guy falling down all the time, speaking gibberish, botching the Afghan withdrawal, calling a lid at 11 o'clock and being kicked out of his own party right before an election. But I promise you, textbook makers are going to make him out to be some sort of champion. Well, it depends on how much Trump gets done here and how much the Republicans and the conservatives get done. Because Trump is trying to. make those reforms, especially at the university level. He's been taking Harvard and Columbia and a lot of other universities to task. It is not going to happen quickly or easily. But I think it depends on how much we can get done here in the next few years to change that as to whether or not the textbooks will actually have some sort of truth of them in 20 years from now. Jim filling in for big nige here. And if you need a reason to drink tonight, this one for you. Happy 48th birthday to musician John Péter Magyar. John Péter Magyar's 48. He's my age now. And... If you want to talk about Mount Rushmore of dudes who have plowed hot chicks, man. John Péter Magyar's list is pretty strong. Here's a list of chicks that John Péter Magyar has been with. Taylor Swift, Jessica Simpson, Katie Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Minka Kelly, and Kim Kardashian.

42:26

Will Chamberlain looks at that list and is like, John, leave some for the rest of us here, my man. And you're exactly right. Mount Rushmore level. Now, he's a rock star. Helps a lot. But even for a rock star qualifications and by their standards, that is an incredible list. Not to be outdone. Here's a list of chicks that I've been with. Oh, boy. Stacey, Kelly, hood rat, crazy Jennifer, Emily, Stinky Amy, another Kelly, Brandy, Brandy Lynn, and the coupon lady. Was Brandy Lynn a dancer? No, Hillbilly. Just the name gives heavy dancer vibes. That's why I had to ask. No, but she rarely wore shoes Hillbilly type girl. I didn't know where you're going with that when you said she rarely wore. I was not expecting shoes to be the answer. I love it. So in honor of John Péter Magyar's birthday here, Allison, turn your microphone on. We're going to play a round of don't forget the lyrics, okay? Okay. So I've got three classic John Péter Magyar hits. We will play them and stop them. As soon as the song stops, it's your job to get the next word or next line, okay? Okay. Here we go.

43:45

Your body is a wonderland. Your body is a wonderland. That is probably the song I got half of those women on that list. All right. We're one for one here. Number two. Now we see everything. Waiting on the world to change. Two for two. Oh, boy, we're fishing with dynamite now. Oh, yeah. Let's see if she can run the table. Number three. Girls become the lovers who turn into my life. daughters too. There it is. Well done. A sweep. Repeat. Get those brooms out, baby. Allison sweeping those John Péter Magyar hits out of here. Is my prize John Péter Magyar? No, but he's been the prize of a lot of young lovelies before. Amber and Nigel presents. It depends upon what the meaning of the word is. Is this anything? All right, let's rock and roll. Is this anything brought to you by Indiana Unclaimed? Pretty cool program presented by the Attorney General's office. They are reuniting Hoosiers with over one million bucks, an unclaimed property every single week, fast, easy, and it's free to search. Search for yourself, search for your parents, search for people you don't know. Check it out, Indianaunclaimed.gov. All right, Jim, I'm going to run these stories by you. Got you. Tell me if they're anything or not. Here we go. There was a woman that went viral on TikTok when she talked about the leather pants that she purchased from the gap. She was horrified to find out that whenever she moved in certain ways in these leather pants, it sounded like a big, beefy fart. I haven't been this embarrassed since fourth grade because I'm on a restaurant and I drop something accidentally and I go to pick it up and then that did not come from my no, the pants. You got something explaining to do. Not anything? Absolutely. This is everything. Are you kidding me? Scientists have been trying to crack the code on this for decades. And apparently the gap accidentally pulled it off. Second point in all of this. Apparently, she was a big farter in the fourth grade, I guess. She said she hasn't been this embarrassed since the fourth grade. But yeah. Farting Pants? Sign me up. I love you dove into the research and you found the backstory, the origin story of the woman on TikTok with the farting pants. With the farting pants. You remember Leslie Nielsen used to go on all the late night talk shows and he would bring a fart machine. Leslie Nielsen from the naked gun movies. He just needed these pants. Like I said, we've been trying to figure this out forever. Have you seen the new Naked Gun movie yet? I've seen the trailer. I watched it on the plane. Okay. And?

46:54

I was disappointed, man. Was it like the reboot of Coming to America and some of those others where you're like, it's this nostalgia movie and you're ready for it to be awesome and... All the good stuff was in the trailer. Was it? Okay. All the good stuff was in the trailer. It was dumb even by naked gun movie standards. Like, the comedy just wasn't there. Okay. Better or worse than Happy Gilmore 2? Worse. Oh. Worse. Okay. But did you like Happy Gilmore, too? It was okay. I didn't hate it. I thought it was totally worth it. You know, an hour and a half of some stupid jokes and some great callbacks to the original, not winning any Oscars, but totally fine and halfway decent. There were some laugh out loud moments at Happy Gilmore 2. I didn't have any of those in the Naked Gun movie. All the funny stuff, like I said, we've seen before because it was in the trailer. It was the best part when they showed the picture of O.J. Yes. That's what I figured. I was like, this has got to be great movie. This trailer's fantastic. Turns out, don't need to see the movie now. That's it. Is this anything? A security camera captured the moment that a family dog sparked a fire by chewing on a device with a lithium ion battery. Now, on top of that, here's the thing. The dog is owned by an actual firefighter. So people in the neighborhood, they realize this is the house owned by a firefighter burning down because of the dog. Here they are. He bit into it and you can see it, you know, he's surprised by it. And then he's like, uh-oh, what did I do? Thankfully, it pretty much fizzled out because of the rug and because we were home so quick. So when you're done charging them, like you have to really pay attention and unplug them. You have to make sure you store them, you know, where they can't get broken or cracked or chewed on by a dog. And then when you're done with them, they have to be disposed in a specific way. Is that anything? I'm going to say no on this because I feel like the dog is going to get blamed. And as we all know, all dogs are good boys and can do nothing wrong. And certainly nothing is as bad as this. I don't like that the dog is probably going to end up getting blamed for this. I'm going to say this is not anything. I've watched the video. The dog's to blame for this one. Okay, what kind of dog? Is this like one of those little yippy dogs or is it like a golden? I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm Ace Ventura and I can identify every dog, but it wasn't a little yippy thing. It was a little bit bigger and he was chewing on something like he was playing. And like the guy said, it sparks, it scares the hell out of the dog and he runs up the stairs. So he's not like Lassie going to get help. He's hiding in a closet. He ran up the stairs, yes, 100%. Last one here, and this could have almost been a damn nature use scary. A male gorilla charged towards some guests at the San Diego Zoo, and it shattered part of the protective barrier glass. Here's the moment of impact and somebody who was face to face with the gorilla.

49:49

We were actually looking down at our cell phones. So we didn't notice that he had taken a running start, jumped, and then launched right into the glass directly in front of my face. I was so jolted. I fell back a few feet. And then when I looked up to see what had happened, I just saw the gorilla staring directly at me, like making eye contact with me. And then this giant crap. And I mean, this crap propagated probably six feet. It was pretty big. Is that anything? Absolutely. I am terrified of those guerrillas. They are, I mean, they look like, you know, somebody from the WWE in the 80s. And I saw the video on this. This is a gorilla similar to Harambe, RIP. I mean, those guys are just, they're nothing but muscle. They're absolutely terrifying. So yes, this is something. Scared to death. Get off your phone. You're at the zoo. There's clearly a act. active gorilla out there. This is why you went to the zoo. Wasn't it to see animals? I'm not saying you can't be on your phone, but if you've got an active gorilla and he's out there just diving onto glass creating what's been called a big crack, then get off your phone and watch it. I would have needed new pants if I was standing on the other side of that glass because those gorillas are terrifying and literally will rip your arms off if they get a hold of you. And Allison, I only said the phrase big crack. because I wanted you to have something for the Friday montage. It's the Hammer and Nigel show. So you may have heard in the news earlier. That I use football coach, Kurt Signetti, just signed a new deal, and he is locked up in Bloomington. I'm Jason Hammer. Jim, the dude filling in for Big Nige here. You got the latest? Yeah, so Kurt Signetti, eight years, $11.6 million per year. This is all being driven by the fact that James Franklin was fired by Penn State. So that means Penn State needs a new coach. And when you're at the level, Penn State's at... They need to hire a brand name coach, and the hottest coach in all the college football right now is Kurt Signetti. So gave him great leverage to go back to IU and say, hey, I need a new deal and I need new money, and he certainly got it, and he certainly deserves it. I would expect Notre Dame's Marcus Freeman to be the next guy to get a new fat contract extension because his name has been thrown around out there to replace James Franklin and Penn State as well. Now, Signetti signed an extension not that long ago after his initial success. And now it's another one with more money. So you're absolutely right. This is the Penn State factor here. This tells me Penn State had been calling around. poaching around trying to steal Signetti, and that gave Signetti all the leverage. Yeah, all these coaches love it when a big-time coach at a big-time university gets fired because that means we're all getting new contracts, guys, because Penn State's going to be coming after everybody. And I think it's going to be tough for them to pull somebody like Marcus Freeman away from Notre Dame. You and I off the air talked a little bit about Lane Kiffin. I think it's going to be tough to pull him out of Old Miss.

52:47

I don't know how much Penn State thought about this when they fired James Franklin. You always got to be thinking about, okay, we got rid of the guy we don't want, but who do we have a reasonable likelihood of getting? And you look at the landscape of college football here. There could be other big-time job openings at the end of the year. If Florida continues to decline, that job could be opening up. Who knows what happens with Clemson? Clemson's been a disaster last couple of years? And this was supposed to be their year. I mean, this Clemson had, you know, weren't the Clemsons we've seen of previous years. The last couple of years, everybody, they were a preseason top five team. Everybody's like, Dambo's got his team dialed in. His days could be numbered at Clemson because that school expects a lot more than what they're getting right now. So Coach Signetti will be locked in to Bloomington for the long haul here, signing his new extension today. Speaking of things in the state of Indiana, State Senator Liz Brown, who busted in a lie. So she went on with Tony Katz and said that she never heard back from the Office of the Attorney General, Todd Rokita, in concerns with the Fairness Act. Okay, fine. Well. The office of Todd Rokita heard that and basically provided the receipts, a little liar, liar pants on fire calling her out saying, no, no, no, no, no. We reached out to your office. We emailed. Here's the screenshots of this. For folks who may be new to this story, Jim, walk me through why this is important. Yeah, and this has been going on since the lawmakers were in session earlier this year. This is an immigration bill that had passed the House, got moved over to the Senate. And Todd Rokita has, I mean, if there's one issue that he has been hammered in home for years now, it's immigration and in trying to fight illegal immigration. So this bill that would require state. police officials to enforce federal detainers on illegal immigrants passes the house gets moved over to the senate and when a lot of people don't realize these bills once they you know they don't just automatically get a vote they've got to get out of committee first and so these committee chairman are really really powerful liz brown sits on that committee she says i'm not even going to bring this bill to a vote in committee so it dies Todd Rokita gets pretty upset about that since this was his pet project. He and Liz Brown have been going back and forth on this a whole lot. And now she comes on Tony Katz and says something that Todd Rokita could easily disprove. Here's her exact response to Todd Rokita's email. This is from their staff, from Liz Brown's staff. It says, Senator Brown does not have any available this week. I spoke with her regarding this meeting and she did not think it was necessary to meet on this subject. Thank you. And that was posted and proven. And at that point, have we heard from Liz Brown? There's been nothing from Liz Brown. But let's be honest here, she is out of her league trying to take on Todd Rokita. And look, I'm the Todd Rokita fanboy. Stuff he's done I like and stuff he's done I don't like.

55:47

But he is about as tough as they come as far as a state politician. And he's been doing it for a long time, both at the federal and the state level, about 20 years. And he loves a fight. He's the attorney general. He's out there suing people all the time. Todd Rokita loves a fight, and he's spectacular at it. So I think Liz Brown got in over her head on this, picking this fight this publicly with Todd Rokita. And, um... And he won this latest round by a mile because she just looks terrible, claiming that they never reached out to her office to have a meeting, and Todd Rokita is showing up with a stack full of receipts. And there's a lot of conservatives, Republicans, that, like you said, might not be the biggest Rikita fan, but they're applauding this, because Liz Brown has been a pain in the backside on a number of issues for a long time. Ask Guy Relford about trying to pass through some legislation and the... problems that people like Liz Brown have presented in the past. And obviously, you know, a guy talking about that, that was a Second Amendment issue. This is an illegal immigration issue. If we're conservative, Republicans claim to be conservatives, those are two issues that we should be able to agree on. That's like bread and butter kitchen table issues for conservatives. Illegal immigration and Second Amendment. And she's fallen down on both of these recently and Todd Rokita showed her up on it. Good. Good for Todd Rokita, good for the Attorney General. Big applause. And it's already been announced that she's going to get a primary challenger. Jim Banks has jumped in on Todd Rokita's side on this. Liz Brown, I think, just got in over her head trying to take this fight public against a guy that loves to fight in public and is very good at it. Would you like to hear from an angry old lady, Jim? Of course. Is it Liz Brown? It's not Liz Brown. Okay. Still, I'll take it. Yeah. But it's Nancy Pelosi. Now, if we're going to talk about Nancy Pelosi, we need to do the proper thing and set the mood with the official Nancy Pelosi music. Okay.

57:42

Can't you even see her peddling on that little bike wearing a hat? All right. So Nancy Pelosi's speaking to reporters. You know, the government shutdown's taking place, but she's still holding court. It's called a gaggle. A press gaggle is around Nancy Pelosi. And there's some reporter. And it's kind of an ambush thing, but that's what happens in Washington. You get the ambush-style reporter asking if Nancy Pelosi is scared or concerned about... the new January 6th information that would make her responsible for not calling in the authorities, not calling in the National Guard. Take a listen to how this old bag snaps. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. Are you at all concerned that the new January 6th Committee will find you liable for that day? Are you at all concerned about the new January 6th committee finding you liable for that day? Why did you refuse the National Guard on January 6th? Shut up. I did not refuse the National Guard. The President didn't send it. Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you're as serious journalists? The American people want to know we still have questions. to walk away and we're going to need that one more time alison she's trying to walk away her handlers you know they're holding her up because she's 150 years old and that final part about the national guard broke her and she slowly turns around and gave us a shut up Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. Are you at all concerned that the new January 6th committee will find you liable for that day? Are you at all concerned about the new January 6th committee finding you liable for that day? Why did you refuse the national goal on January 6th? Thank you, guys. Shut up.

59:32

Like, I'm no Nancy Pelosi fan at all. Like, we made her theme song, The Wicked Witch music. But I am a sucker for somebody just telling somebody to shut up. Especially the press. Especially a journalist. I was thinking the exact same thing, Hammer. No love loss for Nancy Pelosi, but kind of respect a little bit of the right jab she gave that reporter. Just a little bit. A little bit. I'd like to see more of that, to be honest. At least it's entertaining, which she normally isn't. So I like that. It's the Hammer and Nigel show. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Your local Toyota dealer has great deals available today on Tacoma, Tundra, and Forerunner with the space and features for any adventure. It means driving for less, with available hybrid options, delivering great MPGs without sacrificing power. And it means trading for more. Toyota is known for building long-lasting vehicles, meaning your truck will hold its value for years to come. Shoptojota.com to find out more. Toyota. Let's go places. So here's the question for the class. Okay. Is this considered fat shaming? Okay. Yep. A woman has been accused of fat shaming after she posted on social media that she's fed up with having to split restaurant bills with her larger and fat friends who order more than she does when they all go out. So. Is this fat shaming or not? So I'm going to say no, and I'm going to say it's on a technicality here because she's not upset that her friends are fat. She's just upset that they're eating more. They just happen to be fat. If these girls were like Joey Chestnut and throwing back the hot dogs at the table, not really an issue about their weight. It's an issue about the fact that they're just ordering a heck of a lot more food. So I've been of a technicality, but I'm going to say, no, that's not fitch. It's not fat shaming. I agree with that statement under that circumstance. But what if they are fat? What if these are just, you know, like... Well, I think they are. What if it's just a group of just beefy gals and, you know, but they're friends and they go out, hey, let's split a check. And one girl gets like one sandwich and a salad, but everybody else gets the buffet, but you end up splitting the check with them. That sucks, right? Oh, no, no, it absolutely sucks. But the issue is regardless of whether or not they're fat. They're just ordering a lot more food. Could have the same issue if they were skinny girls and just ordering really expensive food, too. True. Because maybe at some point the bigger gals. We'll go on a diet and they just want the salad. And then at that point, their girth doesn't matter. Right. They'd be skinny shaming their friend if they're out there just having water and a coffee. And the skinny friend is eating all the food. You got any action on this Thursday night game tonight? You're a fellow degenerate. Yeah, I don't. Here's, and it's getting tastier. So it was, it's Steelers minus four and a half. I guess that's down from what, five and a half? Yeah, it was five and a half this morning. So it's looking better and better. I am, man, I hate to admit this. It's going to sound weird when I say it out loud. I like Aaron Rogers. I've kind of always liked Aaron Rogers. Maybe not as a human being, but as a quarterback in the NFL, he's got game. And wasn't sure it was going to work with the Steelers, but it looks like so far it's working with the Steelers. Bengals defense is a disaster. They got problems at quarterback. They got the old man there. Joe Flacco playing quarterback tonight. I will take the Steelers and give up the four and a half points.

1:02:57

I am going to ride the lightning and go over 44 tonight. Battle of a couple old dudes, Joe Flacco and Aaron Rogers, old man strength on display tonight. And I told Rob earlier, Flacco tonight in prime time. This might be the last time in his career he gets on prime time. Yeah. Just the bingo stink and they're not getting flexed up. This is like the old dude going to a bachelor party. Because the old guy at a bachelor party is the one that gets loose. He's the one buying shots. He's buying dances because this is his night out. Right. Not the groomsmen who are still in their 20s. They're tearing up. They can do that any time. This just happens to be another time they're out. This is going to be old Joey Flacks tonight. Joe Flacko, the old guy at the bachelor park. his time to shine. I think they put up some points. I don't know who wins, but I think you see points, and we're going to go over 44. Hammer and Nigel. Do you believe these characters are weirdos. So let's rock it. So it looks like it's happening. This whole redistrict special session sounds like it's going to happen. It's The Hammer and Nigel show. I'm Jason Hammer. Big Nige out on fall break. The dude, Jim, is with us. And it seems like after... Couple weeks of dancing around the issue and momentum growing. And oh, by the way, a couple JD Vance vice presidential visits. All the tea leaves are looking like that there will be a special session for a redistrict plan. The only question remains, will it be an 8-1 or 9-0 double middle finger plan? And I'm kind of torn on this. You know, in some ways. I'm like, you know, really, guys, do we need to, for starters, redistricting and calling a special session, that's going to cost money. There's going to be additional, you know, money spent challenging because, of course, these are going to get, you know, challenged in the courts, even if they do get it through. So in some ways I'm thinking, you know, this is obviously all politics. Don't we have other things to work on? But, you know, it looks like there's some wiggle room in the Constitution and they have a legal ability to do this. Why shouldn't they just go ahead and do it? There's a lot of Republicans that are like, you know what, polling be damned, it's time to fight back. Right. When Donald Trump became the nominee and came down those stairs in 2015, he showed it was okay to have an R next to your name and fight back. You don't have to just take it. California and Illinois have been doing shady, just shady stuff with their map for a long time. And now Indiana wants to do the same thing. I'm not going to lie, this is all political. Absolutely. Could be shady. I don't know, but I'm a fight fire with fire guy. I'm a guy that love...

the death penalty because I view it as payback injustice. I'm fine with the plan. Now, 8-1-90, I don't really think it makes that much of a difference. But if you sit back and try to take that moral high ground... The other side's going to be like, oh, thank you. You've got character. We're doing it. Yeah, and that's an interesting point, too, because I saw an analysis that if all the states did this, if all the states did their redistricting and squaws out as much as they could out of this, the Democrat states like Illinois and California did it, Republican states did it. The Republicans would net about seven additional seats in the House. So it proves to your point. The Democrats have been doing this and winning this game for a long time. It's, you know, time for the Republicans to get actually in the game and fight fire with fire, like you said. And this is what the game rules are. I'm not going to sit here and act like I love gerrymandering. I'm Captain gerrymander. No, but if it's going to happen, right, I don't like murder. But if it's going to happen, I want the perpetrator to meet his maker in return. I believe in the death penalty. And if states like Illinois and California are going to and have been doing this for a long time, step up and play the game. And if you don't like it, change the rules. Great. Get yourself back in power. Change the rules. Outlaw gerrymandering or whatever. But this is well within the rules of politics and the Indiana State Constitution. I get why people hate politics. Sure. But I also understand the game that's being played. Man, it's time for some term limits too. You want to talk about... rules and laws that need to be changed. Mitch McConnell fell again today. I saw that video. And look, if we're going to sit here and make fun of Joe Biden for falling up the stairs, falling down the stairs, falling everywhere he goes, you've got to do the same to Mitch McConnell. And look, all is fair in politics here. This is a guy that's in charge of our... finances, our border security, our military. He's one of the 50 most powerful people as a United States senator. And I'm sorry, 100 most powerful people. It's time to go. If you can't walk, it's time to go. And a year ago, he was the Senate majority leader. So not just one of the 100 most powerful people, probably maybe one of the top five most powerful people in all the U.S. government. And he struggled today. He fell down again that, you know, he's got a track record where. He just kind of. shut down. Freeze us up. I mean, just froze up in a couple of press conferences in the last couple of years. He was, you know, having to be moved around in a wheelchair for part of the time to agree completely. We did it to Biden. We do it to Nancy Pelosi. We just saw her, you know, go off on a reporter in the last break. She's still spry. She's still got the fastball. She's well into her 80s. So agreed. Be consistent. Be honest. If we demand some more of a of a.

cognizant presence from our politicians. On the left, we got to do the same thing on the right. Speaking of old bastards, Bernie Sanders took part in a CNN town hall last night. So News Nation had a town hall and it was almost like a big brother house. They just picked the most random people, Bill O'Reilly, Stephen A. Smith, Jim Jordan, John Fetterman. What happens if they all stay in a house together? But CNN, they had Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders. They stayed on brand. So they were melting down at the concept that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might be trying some shady behind the scenes wheeling and dealing to primary Chuck Schumer. And in a rare moment of journalism, Abby Phillip of CNN asked about this. And you could tell it touched a nerve. Are you saying that Chuck Schumer should not be worried about a primary challenge from you? I mean, no. Let me jump in on this one. This is what we're talking about. That's exactly what we're talking about. You have a country that is falling apart. We had a house housing crisis, a health care crisis, an education crisis, massive income and wealth inequality, a corrupt campaign finances them, and the media says, oh, you're going to run what's going to run for? Nobody cares. It's the House Speaker and President Trump and the vice president saying it. Pardon? Of course, they're saying it to deflect attention away from the real issue. Exactly. Okay, Allison, get ready to play that again. I want to play like part of the beginning because it was Caitlin Susan Collins, not Abby Phillips, but the statement remains. You can tell that this is happening and they don't want to talk about it. Are you saying that Chuck Schumer should not be worried about a primary challenge from you? I mean, no. Let me jump in on this one. This is what we're talking about. Stop it right there. And Bernie starts yelling. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gives this half-ass no. But if you were not planning to primary Chuck Schumer. Why wouldn't you just say unequivocally no? I don't know where you people are getting this. I have no plans to do this. Write it down. Take a picture. Here's the date. I'm not primary and Chuck Schumer. You got a half-ass no from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And then Bernie Sanders ran in there to rescue her like Richard Gere carrying out his woman at the end of an officer and a gentleman. Yeah, Daddy Bernie Sanders having to save the young, you know, Congresswoman from New York. Really a surprise. I mean, he didn't barely even let her get a word out edgewise and then die. nominated the rest of the conversation. It's clear that so much of this is tied together. I mean, it's likely that the reason we're in a government shutdown right now is so that Chuck Schumer can show that he's got some gumption to stand up to Donald Trump because he's scared of that primary challenge to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. So credit to CNN for asking a real question against Democrats. Ms. Allison, I need some mood music, please. Oh, it's time to talk about a hero. And maybe we should make this plural, heroes. Dateline, Maine.

There was a guy that went up to speak at a council meeting in Maine, school board meeting. And he had some friends with him as well. And his friends, both men and women, started slowly and dressing in front of the members on the council. Even women, down to the bra and panties, men down to the boxer shorts. And when the council got uncomfortable, that's where the gentleman pointed out. Oh, you don't like it when people undress in front of you? Because this is all about Maine's policy of having biological men change in the locker room of biological women. Take a listen to the council and this guy's awesome speech. Point of order. We've asked that we use... Oh, so wait, wait. You feel uncomfortable? Because that's what these young girls feel like when a boy walks into the locker room and starts unchanging in front of them. Yeah, you feel uncomfortable, right? Get it. You feel uncomfortable, huh? There's a woman in her panties. Love it. That's what these young girls feel like every time a young boy changes in front of them. You can look at me like that all you want. That's exactly how they feel. See, you don't care how young girls feel. You don't care about the safety of young kids. What about what happened to Virginia with that boy that raped a young girl in a bathroom? Then got sent to another school and did it again. What are we going to do when that happens here? How are you going to look that girl in the face and said, sorry, I didn't protect you? This is Maine's capital. We should be set in an example for the rest of the state. You know what example you guys are setting that we do not care about the young girls in this state? I love that. I love everything about it. So, Jim, my question to you. Yes, sir. If you wanted to do a stunt like this, with that being the message, and you only had two phone calls to make, you had to have a guy and you had to have a girl, and you had to tell them, I want you to strip naked at the council, and they had to get it right. Do you have two people that would answer the call? Absolutely, yes, yes. But you don't want to know why? Because I spent my whole career in radio, and those people will pretty much do anything you ask them to. Allison, if you had to make two phone calls. One guy, one girl, and your whole pitch was, I need you to strip down to your underpants in front of a council. Do you have two people that would say yes? Jason Hammer and Terry Stacy. Very nice. Baby, let's go. Are you really okay with me? Are you okay? Everything's going to be okay. Are you okay? Yeah, I'm fine. I'm pretty fucking far from okay. Are you okay with this? On the Hammer and Nigel. Oh, yeah!

1:14:43

So normally this is where Big Nige would host it and run the stories by me. But since he fell off a cliff and died on impact, Allison is going to host it and run it by the dude and myself. Here we go. All right. How about this? A new live action movie is coming around. The Jetsons. And we have Jim Carrey starring as George Jetson. Are we okay with this? No, because I don't think... kids today know who the Jetsons are. Like if you're going to have a movie that's live action about the Jetsons, you probably have to market it as a family type of film. I don't think the kids today are going to be like, mom, dad, take me to go see this Jetsons movie because they have no idea who George or Elroy or Judy or Astro even are. I'm struggling. With the visual aspect of it. I love the Jetsons when I was a kid, but if I'm going to see a live action, I need to see flying cars that are believable. I need to see that little nomadic tube that Elroy goes down. He's going to school. I need to see. That's going to be tough because I've got this futuristic image in my mind, and I don't know that they can pull it off visually. And I don't know who they're going to cast to play the role of the daughter Judy Jetson. Is that her name? Judy. Oh, yeah, Judy. But you needed to be a smoke show because cartoon Judy was hot. Cartoon Judy, low-key, one of the hottest cartoon chicks of all time. So what about the wife, Jane? I've got somebody for Jane, Amy Adams. Because she's kind of a redhead. Jane, the wife was a bit of a redhead, similar age to Jim Carrey. That's a good one. Give me Sidney Sweeney for Judy. There you go. There we are. There you go. There are to jeans. Now, you know what, I've changed my mind. I'll watch that movie now. Cindy Sweetie's in it. I'm on board. All right. Well, a family in Kansas recently went to get food at their favorite taco spot, but the credit card machine was down and they didn't have any cash. So a random guy just handed them $100. And the taco place loved the gesture so much that they gave the man free tacos for the rest of the year. Nice. And we have audio of Taco Hero Jared, the family he gave the money to. and the GM, Priscilla. The cell system went down so we were only taking cash. So I was really bummed. I was like, no. I was like, just come on in and have some tacos. So I followed them out, gave a $100 bill. I was like, no way. And then he said, yes, dinner is on me tonight. And I was like, thank you so much. I sit here. We have $20 cash. You have Venmo. I can Venmo you. And he was like, no, no, don't even worry about it. We just wanted to thank him really because I think he deserves it, even though he probably wasn't intending for this to have the impact. that it did. If I had the chance to do it over again, I'd do it over again 100% of the time every day. Oh, I love this. I feel like I don't even have to ask, but are you okay with this? No, because I think he had bad intentions. What? I think he was rescued in this story by the restaurant. What was it called? Taco Jared's or whatever.

1:17:49

I feel like they saw him do this and thought, oh, that's a great act. He probably thought, I'm going to give this chick $100 and then she's going to want to have relations with me. That's what his motivation was. Oh, my gosh. You ruin everything. No way. He was clearly very sincere. You are so naive, Allison. Dudes don't run up to random chicks outside of taco joints and hand them $100 bills and expect nothing in return. They don't. They just don't. They don't exist. Welcome to the real world. I'm going to play off of that and say, even if that was the case. I'm okay with it. Good for him being a baller and dropping $100 bills out there to try and maybe land a date with the girl. That's okay. Now, true or false, if you were handed a voucher that was good for free tacos for a year, would you go back there every single day and just make them pay? Like, I'm going to have tacos every single day in my life then. Yeah, after, I absolutely would. To the point where after a week, the taco joint would be coming to me and say, sir, can we please have our card back? You've abused this. No, no, you do not get your card back, and I have not only gotten my $100 worth, I've gotten my $100 worth in three days. Well, Grubhub says 72% of college students have accidentally slept through a late night delivery order. So they're offering now a snooze insurance. So it's basically $15 off of a do-over meal in the future if you have a student account. Are you okay with this? Yes, I'm okay with this, but don't tell me that they fell asleep. They passed out because they were drunk. Like, I've been there. I've made these late night orders to food places before. I may or may not have wrote a check to Pizza Hut at Ball State for $1 million. I'm... actually not okay with this because, and this is the dad in me coming out who had a recent college graduate, this is where the kids need to learn that responsibility. Okay, so you put 30 bucks in to get your Grubhub, and you passed out before it arrived, and then you woke up the next morning, and you've got cold Chick-fil-A sitting on your front doorstep. That is it. You will not do that twice, or at least I hope you wouldn't do that twice, and I hope you learned your lesson, and I don't want Grubhub bailing these kids out. Let's do one more. All right. Last one here. 70-year-old man in Italy was caught after pretending to be blind for over 50 years, 5-0, and he collected over $1 million in disability payments. I'm all right with this because anything worth doing is worth doing right. If you're going to go down this road of, I'm going to try to embezzle some money for a condition that I clearly don't have. You've got to become the method actor. You've got to live the life. And he did it for 50 years. 50. Like, I applaud the hell out of that.

1:20:35

I am not okay with it. I'm going to channel my inner Rob Kendall here because that's a million dollars of my money. That's my taxpayer money that he was taken. But I do agree with you. Mad respect for committing to that bit for 50 years. That's not. And how do you prove that somebody's not blind? Throw something at him? Yeah, I guess. Steve, you wonder, that's how, because I don't think he's blind either. He's made more than a million. That's a real thing. Have you seen the interview with Shaq? Yeah. about him. He was driving the car. He's driving a car. Stevie Wonder. He's like, I'll see you later, Diesel. He was backing it out of the driveway and everything. What is Toyota affordability? 1:22:34

look with the cat dragged in here. My name is Jason Hammer, the dude, Jim, the best man, the better man to Casey Daniels is here. Filling in for Big Nige and Rob Kendall. has sauntered into the studio wearing Ultimate Warrior makeup. He's ripped off his shirt like Hulk Hogan. He is ready to go off the rails. Rob, how are you? Great. Thanks always to our segment sponsor Garage Doors of Indianapolis. You know, it's funny. I found this, you know, Facebook has like on this day, you go back and watch your photos. I found a photo from 13 years ago yesterday. in which I took Mike Pence on a tour around Brownsburg. And I was laughing about like how funny that photo is now. In hindsight, because it also had Dwayne Sawyer, who is the former council president, who totally flamed out as state auditor after a few months. Pence then became vice president. I took Pence's job with better ratings and I crap all over Pence each day, or many days. So it's sort of a... He used to sit in this chair that I'm in right now. And yesterday, Jim and I played a round of, how have you injured your crutch? Yeah. The thing I noticed is I'm not as firm as I used to be, but I'm the same weight. So that's pretty impressive. Your weight has stayed the same. I've noticed in pictures that you have with politicians you now hate, their weight may have changed a little bit, but you've been the constant. And thanks to We Grow Hair Andy, my hair hasn't changed either. I mean, it did actually change. Yeah, you went through a patch where you were looking a little bit like Woody Harrelson's character and Kingpin. Yeah, it was rough, but they put me back together. So between the weight and the hair, I basically can pass for the same way I looked 12 years ago. And the hair looks fantastic. Thank you. They did a great job. How does my Botox look? I can't believe you do it. Did it on the air? That was so great. Did it hurt? Toward the end just a little bit, because I had no idea how many shots they were actually going to give me. And I guess to do it right, you've got to do a bunch. I thought they'd be like, one over here, one over here, bada bing, bada boom, we move on. But no, like the fine folks at the envy spot in New Pal, it was Colleen and it was Kesa. They took good care of me, and I'm not going to lie, I think I look like a more mature John Stamos right now. What do you do when your wife leaves? Like, what's life like for you? Because she's gone for several days. Yeah. He's thinking about what answer he can actually give. And the way you phrased, they made it sound like she ran out. Your wife left you. Your wife left. She bailed on you. Filed some papers with an attorney. No. She's moved in with some guy who's a drummer. Dicest, even worse. No, I'm self-employed, so I just work on my business. That's all. I mean, I rarely leave the house. I turn into Rob Kendall, actually. I rarely leave the house. I stay in my house, and I work on my business like 12, 16 hours a day, and then she's back in a few days. Well, can we ask about the business?

1:25:22

this or is this a Michael Corleone type thing? No, I'm a sports memorabilia dealer. That's probably the easiest way to come it up. You go to Jim's house and he just has like magazines stacked up, like in the restroom and everything. Like his whole house is like a hoarder's. Okay. So in fairness, wait a minute here. So my home office is like in the basement and it's a bedroom. And so there's a walk-in closet in the bedroom and then there's a full bathroom attached to it. I just use it all like my office so that bathroom is not a functioning. bathroom it's just storage so you're accurate but i felt i needed a qualifier in there yeah i didn't know if you got lonely or what like i thought about asking you did you want to go crush a few bruise tonight or what because i didn't know like if you get lonely or if you're just like i like i like being alone i want to be anywhere near you i can do either or i can't sit and work i mean i got thursday night football tonight we got college football now on friday nights full slate of games on saturday and sunday and why would i want to leave my house you sound like a guy that would enjoy the degenerates next door sport betting podcast i do i'm a subscriber i can't wait to listen to it drops. You know how much money you guys have made me? And I've said this before. I know we're out of the season now. But Rob Kendall is the number one golf header in the country. I've made so much money off of Rob. Yeah, I don't know anything about football, but golf, I'm your guy. You are the preeminent golf guru of all things sports betting. All right. I told you having a conversation with James Briggs earlier today, the liberal columnist on the indie star. You're going to be mad that he's my friend too, like Adam Wren? You got something bad you want to say about Briggs? No, Briggs has actually been pretty fair to us, unlike Adam Wren has. So here's the thing, Jim. No, no, hold on. Now that you want to brand this up, you're tough guy. Like, we were having a conversation off the air about how loyal of a dude that I am, especially to you, for a number of different reasons. So Adam Renn used to troll us all the time, and we fought back. And apparently you don't respond the same way that I do when somebody picks on one of your friends. Well, he's been very nice to the station recently. I tried to bring everybody together. You know, I'm a compromiser, Jim. I believe in bringing people together. his face has gotten fat. More perfect union. And anyway, I just didn't know if anything negative to say about Briggs because he's my friend too. So I didn't know if it was just. No, all my negative stuff has to do with Adam Wren because he was Johnny Tough guy. And so we called out the fact that his partners at Politico, which he had a hand in, allegedly out of the sexual assaults. against the wishes of somebody running for public office. And I thought that was real disgusting. And ever since then, all he's done is apparently eat and stay low and not try to get our DMs anymore. Look, I believe in treating people the way they treat me. And he called me the most powerful broadcaster in the state. So I got nothing but love for Adam. Okay. So next time somebody rips on you, I'm going to invite them on the show and I'm going to do a victory lap. Welcome to my world. That's how it goes for everybody's favorite thing. Dump on Rob Kendall will fit right in. Why do you think everybody does dump on you, though? Is it because you're unlikable? Because I feel like that's a big part of it. I like it. No, you don't. That's why people do it. I like it. Because you're incapable of making friends, so you go the other direction.

1:28:18

That's how you are. It's like the Cleveland Brown's going, we lose games because we like it. Anybody could win football games. We like to lose. You didn't get it all out of your system during the sports betting podcast. The final five minutes was you just telling me what a horrible human I am for liking Bruce Springsteen. And he just felt it would be good if we just continued it here on off the rails. Jim, back me up here. Springsteen socks. Rob, you know, I love you, but I'm not a Springsteen fan on any level whatsoever. I'm not going to say there aren't some good songs, right? I feel like I'm somebody that you can separate their work from their political crap for the most part. I like... you know, some of Bruce Springsteen's songs. But everything after born in the USA is just him grunting about how horrible America is. That's all it is. Look, you don't want to think through your music. You want to be boring and you want to just whatever the tune is catchy or, you know, whoever your favorite group is. You told me Katie Perry has one of the top five songs of all time. Teenage Dream is excellent. Oddly enough, Rob and I don't agree on music. I do agree on that hot take. Katie Perry's Teenage Dream is an absolute. Absolute banger. So maybe you guys and all Justin Trudeau could all hang out on a yacht together and just crap all over America. Why is she with him? What is going on with that? He's a... He's a... She flew in that stupid Jeff Bezos spaceship that really went no higher than a hot air balloon, and she acted like she was, you know, breaking some new ground for women. She thought she was Buzz Aldrin, which was fantastic. It was great. We got to make fun of her. Now we can make fun of her that she's, you know, knocking up with Trudeau. You can say whatever you want about her music, but like, I mean, we're talking Mount Rushmore of hottest women have ever looked. in the teenage dream music video. I mean, that is peak Katie Perry and like 25-year-old Rob believed we were going to end up together. And I believe she was kind of speaking to me. It didn't work out. But, I mean, what am I supposed to do, not have those memories anymore? You're an embarrassing little man. Just an embarrassing sad. You thought that Katie Perry as hot, she's not... Ugly. Don't get me wrong. But to say that's the top five hottest a woman has ever been. Teenage dream. Yeah. Specifically teenage dream, Katie Perry. Like sometimes somebody says something so stupid, Jim, that I don't even really have the words to come back with. This is not an issue. I cannot agree with you on Hammer. Like I said, I think Teenage Dream from Katie Perry is a top ten song of all time. It's the only musical thing that Rob and I agree on. Like, I could go back and just rattle off the top of my head, hot chicks and videos that are hotter than Katie Perry in that. I don't know what her name was, but the chick that was crawling on the floor in the cradle of love video with Billy Idol. The chick from the Warrant Cherry Pie video. I don't know what she looks like now, but in the Warrant Cherry Pie video, I think her name was...

1:31:06

Was Bobby with an eye? Bobby Brown? Of course it was. It was. Yes, Bobby Brown. Yeah, yeah, it was. That was her name. I mean, that's just the first two that came to my mind. I'm sure there's a long list of hot video chick. Yeah, I'm just telling you. I mean, look, you have your memories and I have mine. And I'm just telling you no. Well. Other than my wife, no woman has ever looked hotter than Katie Barry. Good save. He almost missed it. He almost missed it, but he ended up getting part of that fastball and blew her into center field. What a save. And we started this whole rants by saying your liberal boyfriend, Briggs, was here earlier today. He wrote a nice piece about Joe Hogsett's inability. to restrain Thomas Carl Cook and keep him in line and all the damage that did. It was a really well-written piece. So Jim and I were talking yesterday. Why now are so many people interested in realizing that Joe Hogsett is the human version of a cigarette butt? Why now? Isn't it fascinating, too, about how the guy disappears during the riots? Nobody to this day knows publicly where he is. The city burns. People die. And that wasn't the thing that intrigued people. It was his, you know, first of all, the treatment of Thomas Carl, it was not even his, Thomas Carl Cook's treatment of these women that sparked all these investigations. Now, obviously it is, it is now reached this relationship he had with this woman who was helping delve out incentives and dollars to clients of Thomas Carl Cook's. But it's like. Not to in any way diminish what a scumbag hogsit is and all of this other stuff, but isn't the mayor disappearing during the riots and the city burning? Isn't that a bigger story? It was risky for them to do it then. I'm not giving Briggs any credit on this. It's easy for him to come out and hate on Joe Hogsett today because Joe Hogsett's coming to the end of his term. And he knows that if Joe Hogsett doesn't run again, just some other Democrat will get elected in there and things will continue. So it's easy for Briggs to come out on this today. tougher for him to do it back then because he wasn't quite sure if we were going to have a strong Republican challenger in the 23 election. And for the Briggs and the Russ McQuades of the world here, there's no more use for Kevin Hassett. Even if he does run again, he's on the wrong side of the woke Democrat spectrum here. They're going to be hitching their wagons to either Vop Bosley or Ryan Mears. One of the things Briggs laid out that was super interesting was, you know, we on this radio station present Thomas. Carl Cook as this just like goofy, wacky scumbag guy, which, I mean, he is a- I feel pretty accurate. Well, but politically, he was a pretty astute guy and was a big part of the rise of the hog set machine. And Briggs went through and we don't have time for it right now, but he laid out how in 23, how they totally roped Jefferson. It was, it was Thomas Carl Cook, who totally roped Shreve to make that horrible announcement on, on gun control. Right. And so. And that's why we've called out Shreve too. Like, I don't care if it's Joe Hogsett or anorexic Kenny Loggins there. You can't listen to either one of these guys. Yeah. And so I think we lose sight of the fact. It's like, why did Hawksick keep going back to this guy? And part of it was he felt he needed him because he helped him win so much. He didn't believe he could do it without him. We were just talking about Joe Hogsett. And I asked the dude earlier, actually it was yesterday.

Gun to your head. Do you think Joe Hogsett runs again for the mayor? And your response was, I think he does. It's close, but I think if I had to bet my paycheck, I'd say that he's running in 27. What would he do if he isn't the mayor? Briggs and I got into the James Briggs from the Indy Star and I got into the state when he came on the show. And he was saying, look, there's been so much damage done to Joe Hogsett now. Like there was a time maybe he was going to do it. But it's like, why wouldn't he do it? He's unhirable. That's the thing. He can't get another job. Yeah. And there's a 50-50 shot, depending on whom runs against him in a primary. I mean, if he gets through a primary, he's going to win easy. He's got all this money. He's got all these connections. For some reason, the business community still stands behind him. Why wouldn't he run? The Republicans are too gutless to do it, and we saw it with Jefferson Shreve. But maybe if it's Ryan Mears running against Joe Hogsett in the primary. Maybe in some sort of debate, Ryan Mears asks where Joe Hogsett was right to his face. What if it's a Democrat that has to bring the heat to him? Well, this is what's so perplexing is because I saw what's his name, Michael Paul Hart came out today, demand, or was it this morning? I think it was. Yeah. And demanded that he resigned. And it's like, You're like Bruce Willis and Diehard, welcome to the party, pal. Joe Hoggs is going to take that announcement and wipe his butt cheeks with it. But it's like, why is this radio station the only place that seems to have for five years been like, where were you during the riots? And why wouldn't somebody politically who wants to get him start asking that question? Right. He has no answer for it. I've asked friends in other media markets like Chicago and Atlanta and Philly places where they have the same. political climate as Indianapolis, if your mayor went missing during the riots, would you cover it? Everybody else would. But here in Indianapolis, nobody did. And it's not like we're being critical of he made a bad choice or he made a bad decision or it's he disappeared. He has no viable answer where he was for a long period of time while the city burn. Oh, we know his goofy friend who everybody hates now, Thomas Carl Cook, was the dude who was in charge running the show while the city burned. So before we wrap up this segment here, are you going to go see that horrible, stupid-looking Springsteen movie? No, I don't think so because I'm going to get mad if I go because there's going to be a bunch of stuff. I thought it because you didn't want to pay the admission fee. Went for Netflix. But my problem with, like, I went to see the Elvis movie a couple of years ago. And I got like angry because Elvis's life is interesting enough. You didn't have to make stuff up. And it's just a bunch of made up stuff that never happened. And if they do it to my guy, then I know I'm going to be really pissed. There was too much Tom Hanks in the Elvis movie. Like, there was too much Hanks. There needed to be more of the dude that was actually Elvis. Agreed. I liked the Elvis movie. It's not a documentary. It's just a movie. We know it's Hollywood. They're going to do some fun stuff. But agree with you on that, that there was way too much of the colonel in the Elvis movie. And he was in like a disguise. Well, a big costume or whatever because he didn't, you know, they didn't want him to look like Tom Hanks.
