Do you believe these characters are weirdos. So let's rock. My name is Daijo, Jason Hamm. I'm right over there. The very latest on the United States War with Iran coming up. I'm seeing headlines like U.S. hitting Iran with overwhelming force. It's very important to keep you guys updated on that, and we will do so. But a wild weekend here in the tourist and bar district and areas of downtown Indianapolis Hammer. And I'm glad you pointed out tourists and bar. Because often when you're talking about crime downtown, you're going to hear the people that think everything's fine say, well, there are just pockets of downtown. The hotel district, the bar district, the restaurants, everything's good. But those who are here all the time, we know better than that. So early, early this morning, some would say late Sunday night after midnight, one woman was shot, another person detained after some sort of ruckus near Monument Circle.
Now, the shooting happened around 1.30 a.m. This was near South Meridian and East Maryland. The woman isn't stable. I'm sorry, that's like right where my family, part of my family stays and lives. Right. I mean, it's just, it's stunning when you say it out loud like that. Yeah, it's a shooting on Monuments, sir. One of the most popular areas that downtown has to offer. And the victim, unstable, IMPD said they've got a person of interest detained, but they're not calling the detainee a suspect at this time. So there's one. Now. late Saturday night, and a lot of you saw this video on social media. I think the Indianapolis watch page was one of the first pages to have this out there. IMPD responded to a call of some drunken idiots, allegedly, plowing into some people, hitting... an officer, somebody else that was like a security guard, dragging them a little bit, and then fleeing the scene. Now, they ultimately found the individual that did this, but he was uncooperative with the police, tried to flee from the police. You don't say. And our news partners at Wish TV spoke to some folks that frequent these downtown bars about what the heck is going on. There's always a lot going on downtown. There's always a lot of people fighting and acting crazy. So I feel like the situation was really crazy. Everybody usually makes it home safe. Sometimes it's chaotic. Unfortunately, that's what happened other night. A guy's mugshot looks like he's the son of Gallagher. Comedian that smashed watermelons with giant hammers. Now, if you remember Gallagher's brother had a bad relationship with Gallagher, he tried to tour the country as Gallagher, and Gallagher had to sue his brother, to the point to where his brother had to call himself Gallagher 2, but he spelled it T-O-O. Gallagher 2. Genius. Didn't mean to take you off on a little sidetrack there, but great moments in Gallagher history. I love it. The new chief of police for IMPD, Tanya Terry, she put out a statement, and I agree with this wholeheartedly. Quote. What is the most disappointing is that many people continued recording on their phones and going about their night after watching those working to keep the area safe get injured. I'm thankful for the few individuals who stepped forward to help. Yeah, I saw people laughing. I don't know. Maybe cheering is too strong of a word, but just.
They thought it was all a joke. Right. It's the vibe that I got from that video that you were talking about earlier. And that's part of the decay of society. You see this in schools where there's just somebody getting the crap beat out of them in a school. Whether it's a bullying thing, whether it's something else. I don't know. Somebody's really getting hurt. bludgeoned and nobody's breaking it up. Everybody wants to laugh, cheer, and record it and post it to social media. That sucks. Because there's going to be a time where somebody you love is going to need help. And how are you going to feel? And I hate being this preachy to you guys on a Monday. But how are you guys going to feel if nobody's helping your loved one and they're just sitting around laughing, scratching their anus and recording it and posting it to social media? I wonder if there's like a case to be made in some of those videos like lawsuits filed or criminal charges. I don't know. But it is a disturbing trend for sure. So I'm curious to see what happens with Indy now because we had a pretty good start to the year in terms of crime, but also. There's some pretty nasty weather, too. We were dealing with, I don't know if it's an official polar vortex, but lots of snow, extreme cold, and maybe that held some of the nonsense down just a little bit. Now that the temperatures are starting to get above normal. Boy, if this is a harbinger of things to come here this summer in this city, it's bad. Keeping it here in Indy, Marion County Prosecutor, Ryan Mears. says he doesn't like the homeless camp ban. Now, that homeless camp ban is scheduled to become official today. This was passed through the Indiana General Assembly, and it's sitting on the governor's desk. If the governor doesn't do anything by today, it becomes law. It doesn't necessarily have to sign it. If he just lets it sit there, it still becomes the law. So a person... If they're near a homeless camp, they can be arrested and taken to some sort of facility if they don't coincide with this law. Because authorities will now tell you, hey, you can't set up an encampment here, move along. This is your warning, bada bada buma, boom. And let's be honest, they're probably going to be very patient with these folks early on. But if you become a habitual encampment individual, yeah, this new law says you can get locked up. But your Marion County prosecutor, Ryan Mears, he's got a problem with this. Quote, not only is it bad policy, it's going to be very difficult to implement. Oh, it's too hard. Under the ban, and I'm reading this word for word, people would get a first warning, and they would have 48 hours to move at least 300 feet away from the encampment. And then the prosecutor goes on to say,
Not only is it a bad policy, it's going to be difficult to implement. Where are they going to go? Where are they going to live? With all due respect to the prosecutor, that's not your job to ask that question. It's not your job to care where they go. Your job is to prosecute people by the letter of the law. I know how badly that ball-headed goon wants to be the mayor, but you're not the mayor. You're not even running for the mayor just yet. So how about you just focus on the job that you've got right now? I don't like the fact that you let violent repeat offenders out on the street time and time again. But here we are, Captain Jordans. Do your job. Be a prosecutor. I don't give a blue rat's ass what you think about the law. Go by the letter of the law. I don't think that's asking too much. To say it's going to be very difficult to implement. But yeah, your job is hard. I'll concede that much about the job you do. It's hard. Being a police officer is hard. Enforcing the law is hard. Complaining about it to your public who you're out there to protect. You know, this is going to be too hard. Right. This makes you look like a weakling. Correct. Do your job you were elected to do. I don't care what your thoughts are on where these people have to go. This was passed through the Indiana State House. And there's a reason why. A lot of these lawmakers are now going to the Indiana State House as opposed to trying to work with local communities because woke prosecutors and soft-on-crime prosecutors like the one here in Marion County have made things problematic. So, yeah, I just don't give a damn what Ryan Mears has to say about where are they going to go? When you're the mayor one day, you can have that conversation. But right now, you're not. And you couldn't beat Voposley in a primary anyway. Chances are, you'd probably lose to boss Hulk set after he's had about six or seven shots of Stoley. Allegedly. Allegedly. Daylight saving time. Caught up on a lot of folks this weekend. Did you miss that hour at night? Yeah, I'm missing it right now. Kids definitely missed it this morning when they woke up for school. 64% of us want to stop changing the clocks twice a year, according to a new survey, by the way. And another 21% still aren't sure 16 or 1 in 6 like the current system. I guess I'm fine with it. I'm fine with more daylight at night. I think it's kind of cool in the summer when it's still... partially daylight at 10 o'clock. But I'm not sure if you're aware, Hamper. This leads me to our next adventure. Hammer and Nigel Brewery. Oh. Did you know we have a brewery now? I've gone a few days and you opened up a brewery. You've opened up a brewery and this leads us to a new product having to do with the time change.
Well, as the rest of us set our clocks forward yesterday, you didn't do a darn thing. Why? Because you didn't set your clock back six months ago. And that's calls for celebration. New from Hammer and Nigel Brewery. Time change brew. Yeah. Beer that goes down easy. As easy as a guy too lazy to change his clock. A guy who sleeps on the sofa because he's too lazy to walk to the bedroom. The guy who blows his nose on his sleeve because he's too lazy to get a tissue. Uh-huh. Prefer a soup to sandwiches because he's too lazy to chew. Yeah, if that's you, you need time-change brew. Available at Hammer and Nigel Brewery. But who are we kidding? You're just going to get it delivered. That's right. That is right. Very happy for the first line of beer from Hammer and Nigel Brewery. That's fantastic. What is Toyota affordability? Hello, Hammer and Nigel Road Show, ladies and gentlemen, taking the show out on the road next Thursday, March 19th. Our full show, broadcasting live at Great Lakes Honda in Fisher's. It's really easy to get to. It's right off 37 in Britain Park Road. And we're going to have a blast. And I'm going to talk somebody in there to giving me a sponsorship for a car because I'm done with the man van. I'm done with it. The man van broke down. The man van broke down. Triple A took care of me. We can talk about that later. Let's concentrate on the road show, though. So Thursday, March 19th, Great Lakes, Honda, and Fisher's. I've decided we're going to call this ball orama at Great Lakes Honda, okay? Okay. Because they're going to have a contest there. If you stop by and guess how many basketballs they've got on the premise, because they're tying in the whole March basketball type thing. Premises. How many basketballs do they have? You could win four years of free vehicle maintenance, and that includes oil changes, tire rotations, and everything. Oh, do we get to guess? Four years of free oil changes and tire rotations. That's incredible. And maintenance. Keep in mind the pothole situation here in Indy. This is an awesome prize. So mark your calendars, man. Come up there, hang out with us. We're doing the whole show. And we're going to have a good time. Thursday, March 19th. Ballorama at Great Lakes Honda. They've got special pricing all month long. And maybe Nige buys a vehicle. We'll see. Yeah, we'll talk about it. I'm going to corner somebody. Like somebody in charge on the air and say, hey, let's do a deal. Let's do a sponsorship or something. I am tired of driving this man van around. You sent me a text this past weekend and it basically said the man van is dead. Like, I thought we were this close to you doing like a YouTube video where you're setting it on fire. Like when Luke had to set Darth Vader on fire at the end of Return of the Jedi when he dies. Luckily, it ended up being, and thank God for AAA, because they showed up and it's like, now, dude, it's your battery. You need a new one. It's dead and it's old and the connections are dirty. And they came out. They were there within an hour. But no, I did not expect to go get bagels at the new bagel place there in the village and then get back in the car in the morning and have it not start. So I'm done with it. I'm done with the man band. I don't need it. We don't use it. Is it true that AAA said the problem is?
There's a tampon stuck in there. I don't know who's driving this thing. There's a tampon in the tailpipe, sir. That's the problem. Are you from Minnesota? Are you a Tim Walz supporter? Because this type of vehicle, you just don't see a lot of men driving it around. The awesome of AAA told you that. But, man, that's going to be a fun day. I love taking this show on the road, getting to hang out with all you crazies. Week from Thursday. March 19th, up at Fisher's, join us. Now, starting next Monday... We've got a bracket competition. Now, this is something we do every year. We try to come up with different things. In the past, we've done Biden madness. Favorite Biden clips, right? Right. We've had Trump nickname madness. We've done celebrity meltdowns in the past. COVID hypocrisy madness. Yes. Yes. Do you remember that? This one, this one I think has got Nige written all over it. Okay. Comedy Madness. So starting on Monday, Nige and I have got a bracket of 16 of our favorite stand-up comedians. Oh, yeah. And they're going to be competing against each other in a bracket where you folks vote every day on Twitter or X for your favorite one to advance. And we'll try to have different sound bites and different clips for each round. Now, this is right down your alley, too, because you just had a comedy show. Oh man, that was so fun. How to go, man? Such a great time down in Greenwood. Thank you to John and Matt Hatter, the facility, the Mad Hatter comedy and event center down there. The pictures looked amazing. Sold out crowd, baby. About 210 strong. And we had some folks from the YouTube chat there. I saw Claudia, M. Dog, Beth. And all from the YouTube chat showing up down there, hanging out, representing. I love seeing people from the chat hang out. That's great. Yeah, it was great. I came out, the Watson's girl, our pal Jennifer, introduced me, and I joked about her assets and some of her previous lovers that may or may not have a jersey retired inside of the field house. And then I did about a 20-minute stand-up set, just fun stuff, you know, Beach Grove, Muncie, you know, that type of stuff. And then former midday guy came out. Talked a little bit about what he's doing now. Mike Pence? Not Mike Pence, although he was talked about. And then I came back up at the end and we had like a little...
10 people we don't like bit, and we had a Q&A session at the end. Right on. And, man, the crowd was hot. Everybody was so awesome. We had a great time. And I hope everybody got their money's worth. We're trying to put something else together. Okay? So we'll see what happens. Because this one was such a success. I'm waiting for the folks at Urban One to say you can't do it anymore without our approval. So we'll see what happens with that. But as you know, Nige, because you were at the meeting, I pitched it to them. You pitched it. I pitched it. I was there when you pitched it. Well, we sold that thing out in like two weeks. And you guys are awesome. We say this all the time. But the Hammer and Nigel audience, all we do is sell stuff out because of you guys. We have never had an event ever. where we have not sold it out, whether it's tails from the track, whether it's our tequila, which we're still trying to work on, the bourbon, you know, events like this. Everything we do, you guys sell it out. That tells me you're digging us. We're making a connection with you guys. So thank you so much. You guys were awesome. And can't wait to do another one of these events sometime soon. And we'll keep you up to date. It's the Hammer and Nigel Show. The only way to bag a classy lady is to give her two tickets to the gun show. It's Monday Gun Day with the Gun Guy. Just watch out for the guns. They'll get you. I'm real quick. Stop calling your arms guns. A hammer and Nigel show. My name is Nigel. Jason Hammer is here with a very special guest on the hotline. To a attorney, firearms instructor and a damn fine American. He's the host of the Gun Guy show here weekends on 93 WIBC, Guy Relford. Guy, how the heck are you? I am great, guys, and thanks as always to our sponsor for Monday Gundy. That's Premier Arms in Brownsburg, the largest selection of new used and historic firearms in the Midwest, and PA Jewelers located in the farmhouse right out front. Check them out at 3754 South Green Street in Brownsburg or Premierarms.com. Before we get into anything gun related here, full disclosure, I recently reached out to the law offices of Relford Law to deal with some scammers that I had down in Florida. Is that right? And all it took was one surly written letter from one Guy Relford to make that problem go away pretty damn quick. So, Guy, thank you so much. Oh, it's my pleasure. Yeah, I majored in stern letters in law school. So I was all about it. I'm happy to help. I'm glad the right thing happened there. Let's get into it here at a national level.
What are the chances for constitutional carry? Because Utah Senator Mike Lee, one of the most based conservative senators in all of America, he's looking for a national constitutional carry bill that would make the right to carry legal in all states, basically saying if you have a lunatic governor, you can still protect yourself. What are the chances this actually happens? I think Mike Lee's bill is a real stretch, because we actually have another what's called Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act bill pending that's already actually been voted out of the Judiciary Committee in the House. It just needs to get a vote on the floor of the House and get sent over to the Senate. But Mike Lee's bill just recently filed, as you mentioned, last week, takes a step further. prevents states from requiring a license or permit to carry a handgun at all. and says that basically all 50 states become constitutional carry under the dictated of the federal government, and states don't have any option but to adopt that under this bill. That'd be fabulous, but that's even, I think, more of a stretch goal than just the reciprocity bill that is actually a step farther along because it's been passed out of committee. Wow, so you're telling me that if that bill does get passed, as little chances you think it does to get passed. I mean, like crazy states like New York and California, all those oppressive gun laws would be nullified? Well, the requirement to have a license would be nullified. Basically, if you are not prohibited by state or federal law from possessing a gun, then you can carry a handgun in all 50 states even without a license or a permit. And that, again, mature across coast to coast, you know, border to border. And that would be a beautiful thing. But again, that's a stretch goal, no question. Again, I am not a lawyer. I don't even pretend to play one on the radio here, Guy, but when it comes to arguments like this, okay, on one side, you got folks going, wait a minute, it's right there in the Constitution. You have the right to bear arms. It's a right. But we also are the United States, where states have state rights here. How do we even begin to sort this out? Well, that's where the 14th Amendment really bridges the gap. You know, looking at what southern states were trying to do to deny voting rights to newly freed slaves after the Civil War and looking at civil rights violations that were happening. One thing that the 14th Amendment did, it says that, you know, where states are not appropriately honoring.
constitutional freedoms, enumerated in the Bill of Rights, or otherwise protected by the Constitution. It is appropriate for the federal government to come in and order the states to follow the Constitution exactly like the federal government have to. And so there is a historically accurate and I think legally accurate. argument to say that this would be upheld under the 14th Amendment, even though, you know, I agree with you guys. We're all states' rights guys, and I always say the 10th Amendment means what it says, which is the federal government, unless it's been given a particular power and the Constitution doesn't have that power. It's reserved to the states. Well, the 14th Amendment gives the power to the federal government to order the states to comply with a bill of rights. And so they could do so here with Mike Lee's bill saying that too many states are not appropriately honoring the Second Amendment. And so Congress has the ability to step in in order to do exactly that. Monday Gun Day with the gun guy, Guy Relfare, joining us here on The Hammer and Nigel show. All right. One of the things we like to have you do is take a national story and then apply it. to us living here in Indiana. And this takes us to West Virginia. You had sent me a story about this bill in West Virginia, and a lot of people have questions about it. The so-called Hughes Amendment of Firearm Owners Protection Act, I believe it goes back to 1986 here, reset what this is about, and then if you wouldn't mind, apply that to us here in Indiana. Yeah, you bet. I've had a lot of questions about this. In fact, I was going to talk about it on my show on Saturday, but I didn't have a show. I got preempted by IU, and so I'm grateful for the opportunity to talk about it here. This is about machine guns, okay? And the Hughes Amendment that you mentioned was an amendment to what was called the Firearm Owners Protection Act in 1986, which actually was intended, as the name suggests, to protect. gun owners in various ways. It provided a safe passage provision for traveling with your gun. That's what actually denies Congress the ability to maintain any kind of registry of guns or gun owners. That's in the Firearm Owners Protection Act in 1986. But the Hughes Amendment, as the name suggests, Senator Hughes at the time came in and offered an amendment that actually restricts civilians' ability. to possess or obtain machine guns. And what it said basically is that if a machine gun was registered and in civilian hands as of May 19th, 1986, that's fine, that could be possessed, it could be transferred. So today, you know, to obtain a transferable machine gun, it has to be one that was manufactured or imported and registered prior to that date in May of 1986. And so, as you might guess, those are becoming fewer and farther between, and the prices are outrageous to find a transferable machine gun. The West Virginia bill, and it looks like it's now stalled in the West Virginia Senate, but it got introduced and it appeared to have some momentum for a while. It focuses on an exception in this machine gun restriction, which we refer to as the Hughes Amendment of FOPA.
firearm ownership protection act. There's an exception for ownership or transfer of machine guns where it says, this shall not apply to a transfer to or by, and it lists various governmental entities. It says United States government, et cetera, et cetera. And then it says to or from a state. And so what that says is a state can still buy and sell machine guns. So the West Virginia bill, get this, actually sets up the West Virginia state government through a new division of their state police out there as a retailer of machine guns. I kid you not. And so under this, if this were to pass, and I'm sure it would be challenged legally that that wasn't the intent of the Hughes Amendment, et cetera. But if this were to pass, you could theoretically go in and apply to buy a machine gun from the West Virginia State Police. That would be legal, including a brand new one. And after this thing got introduced, you know, it was backed by the gun owners of America. Sure. Some other gun rights groups were supporting it. And I got a ton of comment and messages on social media and otherwise emails saying, hey, we need to do this, man. The Indiana State Police need to be a retailer of machine guns. And so I can chuckle about it because I don't think there's a single chance in hell. I'm going to see that in my lifetime. Right. But it's an interesting legal argument to say, hey, if a state can or if they are exempt from this restriction on firearms, then a state theoretically could set itself up to buy and sell machine guns to the public. Yeah, that's not going to happen, but I would love to see the reaction, right? Next time we have the IMPD chief on. We're just going to blindsider. Hey, I heard you guys are in the business of selling machine guns out of the trunks of your cruisers now. Is that true? Exactly. You know, the Hammer and Nigel show wants to have its own logo on a, you know, I love it. Belt fed machine gun, yeah, that's right. So it's kind of fun to think about, but yeah, that's definitely a pipe cream. Guy, unless Indiana makes a deep run in the Big Ten tournament or March Madness, if they get there, I don't think your shows are going to be preempted anymore. Tell us about the show and tell us where we can find you. Yeah, I'm on Saturdays 5 to 7. It's PM, The Gun Guy Show. And it's a call-in show. We take calls throughout the entire two hours. So we'd love to have people listen in and call in. And you can find me if you're interested atrelfordlaw.com, Relfordlaw.com. Guy, you're the best. We appreciate you. Thanks, guy. Thanks, guys. It's the Hammer and Nigel show. Hammer and Nigel. Do you believe these characters are weirdos? So let's rock it.
My name is Nigel. Jason Hammer is here. We're going to get you up to date with the war in Iran. It's very important to talk about this. This is a big deal. The United States and Israel bombing Iran. I saw the headline earlier. U.S. hitting Iran with overwhelming force. This is Day 10, Hammer of Operation Epic Fury. And unfortunately, the United States has lost another member of our armed forces. This is the seventh member of the United States that's lost their life. Here with an update on kind of where we're at, President Trump speaking to reporters while he was on Air Force One. We've accomplished more than one week than anyone thought possible. We've wiped out their Navy, 44 ships. We've wiped out their Air Force every plane. We've wiped out most of their missiles. You see, the missiles aren't coming much anymore. We've also hit their manufacturing areas where they make the missiles very hard. Their drone capacity is way down. And we've heard of where it hurts, including about every form of leadership you can have, we've wiped down. Now, in terms of leadership, the worst kept secret, something we told you about over a week ago, was that the son of the Ayatollah would be taking over as the supreme leader. Now, keep in mind, the Ayatollah, his wife. the wife of the son, and other family members of the Ayatollah have all been killed so far. But now the sun is taking over as the Supreme Leader. Trump has stated that this is unacceptable. So again, the over-under on how many days the new Ayatollah the sun will be breathing oxygen. We set it at 10, and I'm betting the undernige. Yeah, I would be craning my neck if I was the new Ayatollah or the sun or whatever you call him now in the sky at every second. If I'm out and open, in an open area, or even if I'm in a bunker, it doesn't seem to matter to the United States where these murderers were holed up in. They got them. And I don't. A couple things here. Like, you know, everybody's talking about regime change and boots on the ground. I don't see it as regime change so much as I see is, like, containing the new regime. Like they did in Venezuela. Like, the lady that replaced Maduro in Venezuela. Like, she was singing the praises of Donald Trump. Right. And we extracted Maduro, and now he's facing charges in the... Southern District of New York. But I am just no boots on the ground, no nation building, regime containment instead of change. I'm okay with all of it so far. But I also reserve the right to come back and say, oh, this wound up badly. This wound up being very bad. Well, this brings us to the price of oil right now. Oh, yeah. So there were a lot of folks that are like, hell yeah, go USA.
Bomb the bejesus out of Iran. Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran. And now they're seeing gas prices go up. And now we've got seven U.S. service members that have lost their life. That's a bad look. I'm not saying that Trump did anything bad at the dignified transfer. I know some people wanted to make a big deal of that. He wore a hat. Stop it. It wasn't like he was checking his watch like a certain president did. But if these gas prices continue to be high, there's going to be a lot of people falling out of favor with what's going on. I'm just telling you that right now because money talks and BS walks. President Trump keeps saying this is a short-term thing and prices will go down eventually. But what's the timetable on eventually? Okay, that's the question. Now, Fox had a report earlier today that I think some of this stuff is getting to the old man. It's getting to President Trump. He wants this process speeded up a little bit. He wants a full unconditional surrender by Iran or if they don't say the words, they don't have the ability to do anything, not even having a pot to you know what in. Here's a little bit more from the president. On Air Force One, about an unconditional surrender. Can you give us an idea of what unconditional surrender looks like to you? I mean, what do you want from Iran? I said unconditioned, not condition. I said unconditional. It's where they cry uncle or when they can't fight any longer, there's nobody around to cry uncle. That could happen too. We've wiped out their leadership numerous times already. So it's if they surrender or if there is nobody around to surrender, but they're rendered you. in terms of military. Okay, they're rendered useless in terms of military. I think that's probably where we're going to get. I don't know if you're ever going to hear the words, uncle, or we surrender by Iran. I just don't think that's going to happen. It's like the new Ayatollah dude, the Ayatollah's son or whoever he is. Somebody's got his arm. Like Trump's got his arm behind his back. Cry, uncle. Say uncle. Say it. Say uncle. Say the words. I'm going to, I'm going. I don't know if that's going to happen. I don't know what that looks like. I love your impression of the Ayatollah of rock and roll. That's pretty strong, pretty strong. But yeah, it sounds like, you know what, because Donald Trump looks at social media. Let's act like, you know, let's not act like that he doesn't. I think a lot of this chatter of, hey, we're losing people here and the gas prices are not coming down.
You are the guy that was supposed to lower all costs here. We need to speed this process up. If we're as dominant as you say we are right now, and I do agree, we've been dominant. It's not getting twisted here. Iran in no way is winning this war as some lefties have either said or admitted they're rooting for. Speed this thing up. Speed it up a little bit. Let's go. Be safe. But speed this thing up here. Well, I think people, I think Trump got spoiled in Venezuela. That was a quick hit. And then maybe even last summer with the Operation Midnight Hammer where they took out nuclear facilities and their ability to enrich uranium, but they rebuilt it. So, you know, we have expectations. And I don't think they're meeting the level that we had in Venezuela or last summer in Iran. So over the weekend, At my comedy show, I had a little segment dedicated to those horrible women from The View. Now, I don't want to give away what I said because I can't repeat what I said at the live show on the radio. Is that why there's no audio of the live show? Bingo. But. It's comforting to know that I'm not alone and thinking that Joy Behar is a horrible, horrible woman. This brings us to Jillian Michaels. Now, Jillian Michaels is a fitness trainer. Yeah. She was on the biggest loser, that show. There was a documentary about the biggest loser, and she did not come off real well in that. She came off like just a ball buster that didn't care about people. It wasn't her finest look. Now, she did not fully cooperate with it. She says they took things out of context. So I've never really been a huge Gillian Michaels fan. Until now, nice. Until now. Tell me why. So she was part of this panel that the Daily Caller had, an online panel. It was Jillian Michaels, sportscaster, Sage, Steele, and Dr. Drew, Dr. Drew Pinsky. And Dr. Drew, for some reason, brought up Joy Behar. And I want you to take a drink every time that Jillian Michaels calls Joy Behar the B word here. Okay? Here we go. She doesn't hear herself how she rails on people. I thought Elizabeth was very... She was such a bitch, and she's been a bitch for years. I used to deal with her back in the biggest loser days when she would go after me because, you know, she was overweight and unhealthy and just a crotchety old bitchy bra. And she's a bitch and she's always been a bitch. Sorry, John. I've lost to. How do you feel about her, though? Tell me how you feel. Love it. I lost count. Was there six or seven? I think there were seven. If you're counting bitchy as that, then I think there's seven. Okay. Seven shots were involved right there. So you know what, Jillian, you did a 180. You'll won me back. Congratulations. Hammer's back. Which brings us to great moments in calling Joy Behar, the B-word history.
There's such a thing? This is when Fox and Friends had Kid Rock as a guest on their morning show. God forbid you say something a little bit wrong. You're racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, this, that, and the other. People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct. And I would say, you know, love everybody except... I'd say, screw that Joey Bayhar, everybody. Great moments in calling Joy Behar, the B-word history. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. It depends upon what the meaning of the word is. Is this anything? All right, let's rock and roll. Brought to you by Indiana Unclaimed, a program presented by the Attorney General's office, reuniting Hoosiers with over $1 million in unclaimed property every single week. Fast, easy, and free to search at Indiana Unclaimed.gov. Is this anything a sheriff in a Metro Atlantic County? Got hit with the Dewey after troopers saw his vehicle driving erratically and they followed him home. Sheriff Gerald Crouch told them that he'd been drinking four loco beverages since 6 a.m. that morning. That'll do it. At the time he was swerving, it was only 11 a.m. Here's a woman who lives in the town. Should he keep his job? Probably not being in that position. It's not good for anybody to be drinking and driving, especially a public official. It's not a good look for Hall County. That's not a good look for anybody. I mean, that's just not a good look. You know what? Yeah, this is something. Of course, the sheriff should be fired. Unfortunately, this police officers hate to hear these stories because it's just kind of automatically. You know, they're like, oh, great, making us all look bad. But you know what? We've had four loco on beer sample Friday before. It's like this highly carbonated, sweet and fruity energy drink, but it has a high alcohol content. Right. Like 14% or something like that. Like 6 to 14% and this guy, the sheriff was drinking, he had two of them. Starting at six in the morning and it's 11. I mean, mixing just, I mean, you could just go Red Bull, right? What if I told you they were tall boys too? Oh, yeah, they're always. Troopers found two open containers of.
24 ounces in the in the vehicle. Those are bigger than tall boys. And the report says the officer's blood test was three times over the legal limit. We're getting into Randy Travis territory here, Nige, three times over the legal limit. Yeah. Guy has a problem probably needs rehab, not going to be like the one to cast, you know, I'm not going to wag my finger, but I think it's obvious that this guy deserves to lose his job and does not need to be a sheriff anymore. And context matters because if somebody says, I had four beers in five hours, realistically, if you're a beer drinker, that's not that bad. But if it's a high content alcohol, if they're all tall boys, that's a problem. It's like saying, I only bought one case of beer this week. But it was that PBR 100 pack that they sell at Christmas time. That's a problem. Is this anything? A night flight out of Nashville to Fort Lauderdale had an emergency landing in Atlanta due to a security scare. Listen how flight attendants tell all on board heads down, hands up, while armed guards rushed down the aisle and pull some dude out of a seat.
Stand up. Yeah. Everybody. Stand up. Stand up. So the FBI, yeah, this is something for sure. I mean, like if we were on that flight, my kids and my wife, we'd be driving back to wherever we came from because there's no way they'd ever get on a flight again. The FBI and the police interviewed the passenger. They didn't find any credible threat. It stemmed. Some other passenger was reading text over somebody's shoulder or something like that. And you see the footage. I feel bad because like heads down, hands up. Everybody on the flight had to keep their heads down in their seats and their hands up over the seats while security armed armed. officers came in and got the guy. The girl in the video that I saw had a little baby with her. I felt so bad. I mean, could you imagine being on a flight and having to do that? Now, you watched the video, right? Is that what you say? Did people understand right away what was happening? Because... This is the way my mind works. Having been a club DJ before, weddings and clubs, there's another saying, face down, ass up. That's the way. Well, it goes on. Right. So I'm wondering if like when the staff starts walking down the aisle, heads down, hands up. That's not how it goes. You've got it wrong. Is that a two-life crew song? Or is that just a standard thing? I think two live crew put it in their lyrics, but it's been used in multiple songs. I'm quite... I've heard people chant it out during Moni, Moni with Billy Idol before. Wow. Okay, well, I'm quite certain in this specific situation, nobody was confused by the two different saying. This isn't sexy at all. Last one, is this anything? An Italian exchange student was taken to Olive Garden by his American host mom, and it went viral. At first, he wonders why he's even there. Then he kind of gets into how Italian food. Like we have here in America doesn't even exist in Italy. Why am I here? Am I forced to it here? Yes, and I would get the fetidine alfredo. Excuse me? Alessandro, they have carbunara. They have calamari and fried mozzarella will be enough torture for me. You're going to love that. So it's going to be a great review then. Sure. Can you explain to people that they don't have Alfredo in Italy? It's not an Italian thing. It's not.
Oh, what's you see? Now, Fettuccini's not an Italian thing. Right. Wondered why he was there. He was almost put off that he was taking that. Okay, well, I'm not going to Italy then. Right. That's exactly why I go to Italy is for the food. I heard the food's great. But if you're not serving Fettuccini, I thought that was like the whole thing there. And how about you be grateful somebody took you out to eat at all, you stinky Italian? The fettuccini's delicious. It's delicious. It's delicious at Olive Garden. It is. I only order one thing at Olive Garden when I go every time, and it's the Fettuccini Alfred. Would you feel more comfortable if I brought my wife with hairy armpits here? Because that's what you people have over in Italy. Chicks with Harry Pitts. Now sit down, eat your Olive Garden, and pass those breadsticks. It's the Hammer and Nigel show. Come on for me up a double shot of whiskey. You'll listen to the Hammer and Nigel show. Yeah, this thing that happened near the New York City mayor's house is crazy. Some lunatic. A couple of lunatics tried to throw IEDs, improvised explosive devices near the mayor's house. There was some sort of protest and then a counter protest going on. outside, the devices didn't go off, but these were the things that were killing American soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq for 20 plus years during that war. And we have something like this happening now. It is confirmed that it's ISIS inspired. Two people in custody. The police report claims they shout at Al-Aqbar before attempting the explosive attack. You don't say. The feds, they are working with the NYPD. They had search warrants for New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Apparently it's where these lunatics lived at. And it sounds like they uncovered quite a bit of information. These guys allegedly made pro-ISIS statements while in custody. Investigators also examining their past travel trips to Turkey and some other locations known as terror grounds. We caught a break. As an American people, we caught a break here that this thing did not go off. That's like Boston Marathon bomber stuff. Right. This could have been really, really bad. And the mayor of New York City, newly elected Mayor Zohran Mamdani, it'd be really easy to go out in front of a crowd and say, terrorism bad, but our first responders were here, the police were here, the FBI is involved, they've got this taken care of, we're going to be our right. New York strong. That's all you have to say. But instead... He held a press conference and blamed white supremacy for all of this night. White supremacy is the problem. Now, I don't claim to be somebody that has a degree in international affairs, but you don't find many of the whites.
in ISIS these days. Now, you might have one or two. I'm not saying that you can't. But for the most part here, I think it's pretty rare. It's like finding a really, you know, rare gemstone when you're out walking in the beach somewhere. It could happen, but probably not. So of all the things for the mayor to come out and condemn the Islamic State, terrorism, how did this happen? Do we need stronger borders? Any of that. He goes out and blames white supremacy. Well, this guy is somebody that's basically communist, Marxist, and his wife has been reported to like posts dating back to the terror attacks. Israel, October 7th a few years ago. And that's not surprising. I mean, there were there were protests going on outside his house. And one of the protests, there was a couple of crazy people with some anti-Islam protest. And maybe that's what he was talking about. But who cares? I mean, you just had an ISIS-inspired attack. You're the mayor's residence and you go on about white supremacy. Right. It could have been so simple. Like you said, at the beginning of this segment. Hey, New York's strong. We got the guys. Thank God these devices didn't go off. We're investigating. And we're going to find out where these guys came from, who they are. And that's it. Right. That's all you have to do. We just made that up off the top of our heads. Now, imagine having a team of speech writers or somebody that actually gets a paycheck for this kind of stuff. They just mention white supremacy, Mr. Mayor. That's it. What's really going on here is white supremacy? You don't think we should mention ISIS? No, no, no. The Islamic State terrorism. No, no, no, whitey. Got to blame the whitey. That's who's at fault for this, the white man. Ridiculous. That's why I'm laughing. It's just absurd. The absurdity of it all. If you don't laugh at this kind of stuff, you'll cry. And again, it was such a break that this device did not detonate. I mean, sometimes you need a little luck in life. And those folks that were there that day, luckier than you know what. Because there were guys there that were, you know, protecting, you know, counter protesting the anti-Islam. Everybody's welcome here. I saw footage of one of the guys throwing the device on the back of a guy that had a bullhorn that said, no, Islam's, well, we love Islam. We love the Muslims. Come here. And then the guy jumps on this guy's other dudes back and throws the IED, which is filled with nuts and bolts and screws and chemical substances with, you know, fitted the canister fitted for a fuse. Right.
Multiple people would have been maimed or killed had this thing gone off. Both. And it was incredibly lucky that it didn't. Nige study has found that eating refined carbs for breakfast like donuts or pancakes or sugary cereals. Makes you uglier within two hours. Uglier? No. Well, consider me the elephant man then. A study in France. Found that refined carbs make you noticeably less attractive within two hours of eating them. Researchers had volunteers rate attractive people's faces before they had these items for breakfast. Donuts or bagels or pancakes, muffins, white bread, or sugary cereals. And then judging their faces two hours after that. And even people who were once attractive now ended up looking like feet. Oh, this is dumb. This is dumb. So there's a couple things that I can take away from this. I'm not an animal. I'm a human being. I'm a man. I just got done eating five Kris cream donuts. People are frightened by what I do. They don't understand. Right. If you're the kind of guy, and listen, I feel like I can say this because I've done this before, where you've had five or six donuts for breakfast, that ain't why you ugly. You were fat before. You're probably fat afterwards. Ugly. We can cross that bridge a little bit later on. And number two. I think we finally know what Joy Behar eats for breakfast. We've got an inside track to what that horrible hag eats for breakfast. Another Joy Behar reference. Nige, if you need a reason to drink tonight, happy 55th birthday two. Webster, Emmanuel Lewis. No way, 55? He's still standing. Gary Coleman. Standing at four foot three. He is. But he's still with us. Gary Coleman kind of laid the groundwork with different strokes. And everybody thought Webster was just a rip-off of different strokes. But Gary's no longer with us. He broke out. Emmanuel Lewis is. Now, great moments in Webster history. Both of Webster's parents in that show are in Porkies because Cherry Forever was the lady that was his mother. And the dad was the mean police officer that breaks out the tail life. Is that right? Now, they're real, they were real life husband and wife. Alex Carris was a longtime NFL star. Football player. Yeah, for the lion. I think he's a Hall of Famer.
You know, he went into acting afterwards, but that was his real wife. And I always thought that she, ironically, looked like Kurt Warner's wife. So there's a football thing going on there. But the real couple in Webster also starring together in Porky's. Loved Webster. Did you love Porky's? Oh, Porky's was great. Couldn't do that movie now. Couldn't do movies like Porkies or Revenge of the Nerds now. Whatever. We would enjoy it, but like the folks in the digital department back there, their heads would spin around. You couldn't do American pie now. And that was late 90s, early 2000s. I think there's a core audience of people who grew up with like... the comedy of Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, that we're just desensitized to anything. Nothing offends us at all. We're like the Gen Xers, but boy, you go back to our digital department and you show them the scene in Porky's about the shower. The hole. There's going to be like a three-hour HR seminar scheduled in the next three days, I promise you. So, full circle, happy birthday to Emmanuel Lewis Webster. That's your reason to drink tonight. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Your local Toyota dealer has great deals available today on RAV-4, Grand Highlander, Camry, and Corolla, with the features and style you deserve. It means driving for less, with hybrid and plug-in hybrid options across the lineup, delivering great MPGs. And it means trading for more. Toyota is known for building long-lasting vehicles, meaning your car will hold its value for years to come. Shop Toyota.com to find out more. Toyota, let's go places. Again, coming up here, about 506, Governor Mike Braun joining us in studio. Have a little chat with the governor. Before we do that, Nige, you've had a couple hours now to think about these moves the Colts have made today. Alec Pierce being resigned to a massive free agent deal and Michael Pittman Jr. being traded to Pittsburgh. Yeah, wide receiver, Alec Pierce, hot commodity there on the free agent market. I'm glad the Colts got him and they had to free up some room, unfortunately. Pittman Jr. gone. And now we've got to figure out what Danny Dimes is doing. I mean, the Colts tagged him with the transition tag, not the franchise tag, which means other teams can approach him. Right. But we're giving it the culture. What's the transition tag or a 35 million or something like that? Now keep in mind, it's nothing like what Bruce Jenner once did. That was a completely different transition tag. I was wondering about that. I was just making sure. I'm glad you cleared that up. The transition tag in layman's terms doesn't get used very often, but it means your quarterback can still test the market, but. If a team signs him to an offer sheet, you can look at it and say you want to match it or let him go. What was the text you sent earlier? He wants like 50 million? So they're like 50 million bucks apart. So the Colts offered him basically the money that Sam Darnold, the Super Bowl winning quarterback got. Three years, 100 million bucks. Okay, that's pretty good. Danny Dimes people.
They want 50 million a year. So, in essence, they're $50 million off price. Hello. Which is a pretty big number for a guy that had about eight or nine-ish good games. Has he ever played a full season with his career? The Colts or the Giants? I believe he played eight full season with the Giants. Wasn't many. Let them to a playoff appearance once. Yeah, yeah. But we'll see. It just shows you how much quarterbacks are worth in the NFL or could be worth. Right. Now, I see a lot of Colts fans going, what about Riley Leonard? Yeah. He looked pretty good in those final games. Because keep in mind, in those final few games, the Jags and the Texans were still playing for their position, right? The division was still at stake. It wasn't like they were mailing it in. No. And he played pretty well. But... Was that an anomaly? Is he a week in and week out starter? Or do you feel better going with Danny Dimes? I don't know about you. I don't know if I like $50 million a year, Danny Dimes. That's a lot. That's pretty steep for me. My name is Nigel. Jason Hammer right over there with a very special in studio guest. The governor of the great state of Indiana. Governor Mike Braun joins us in studio. Bears and Indy yet? Do I go buy tickets yet? Is that a done deal? Do I start making the T-shirts now in the merch store? What's going on? Why did I know that was going to be your first comment? So, everybody asked that question, and from the last time it was publicly discussed, the Bears are doing due diligence stuff. I think the J.B. Pritzker and Johnson and their state legislature let it go. far enough that it's kind of in the same dynamic. They like the look of Indiana. I think they get more of a stadium built for the dollars that they spend. Plus, you look at the cost of doing business here, 40 to 50 years. I mean, they like what they see. So it depends on their legislatures in session until May 31st, but we have weekly conversations with them, and they're still going forward on... doing the month or two's worth of work checking the site out. So the templates there, the legislature did a wonderful job. Governor's office handled all the conversation up to getting the legislation done. So we've done everything to set the stage, and we'll see. I think it'll play out in the next month and a half or two one way or the other. You know, it's crazy. There are... Honestly, more important issues, I think, in the state of Indiana. And we're going to talk about those here in just a minute. But this Bears thing is just such a lightning rod. There are some folks that are like, stick it to Illinois, make J.B. Pritzker pay, bring it to, you know, Hammond, Indiana. And there are some other folks that are like, listen, I'm kind of a jilted lover of Marion County. I'm still paying for the Colt Stadium. The taxpayers kind of got the shaft. It's such a lightning rod. It's one of those things. It is, and now that it's kind of been discussed, and it's kind of simmering, I guess, up there in the discussion, you look at the logistics of where they're at to Hammond. For most of the Bears fans, logistically, it'd be closer than the place they're talking about up in Arlington Heights. And, you know, it's not like this is.
creating the wheel or even recreating it. It happened twice, you know, New York to Jersey. And I'm guessing there'll be a bigger difference in terms of the experience going from a place like Illinois to Indiana. And it's a shorter drive, honestly. If you're somebody that lives in the greater downtown Chicago area, it's a shorter drive to Hammond than it is to Arlington Heights. I think all of that, and now they can actually tailgate. We've got plenty of room to, we've had that comment come up, which is one of the most surprising. But yet to the point, you know, where they're at now, I mean, you're going to need an electric blanket to stay warm and you don't have any time to have fun before the game. And I think this location, you get a lot of stadium for the money you spend. And it would have all those kind of a... good things that most football fans want. All right. So Nigel and I talked a little bit earlier. National headlines are kind of dominating the news cycle right now. We're keeping our eye on Iran. The United States and Iran, there appears to be a terrorist attack at the, you know, mayor's residence near New York and ISIS-inspired attack. National stories are big. I want to talk about what's happening here in Indiana. Session just wrapped up. This was not a budget year, but there were some key things that were on the docket this year. That seems like a bunch of stuff got accomplished. Right. What are the wins, Governor? So all along, jobs and wages are the big deal. And we may have discussed it before, economic development that goes directly into that. In the first year, we were able to bump wages from $36 an hour. close to 41. And we've spent one-third the amount of money per incentivized job. That is significant. We've also talked about doing it in a broad regional way, with the 15 regions making sure there's synergy among them that the whole state sees benefit. That's why, along with that good wage news, our GDP growth. is growing at twice the rate of Ohio's and Illinois, three times as fast as Kentucky's, five to six times as fast as Michigan. So we're standing out among our peer state group. So that's good news. You got what's happening here on the national scene. Yes. gas prices, which were coming down from Biden's inflation and restrictions. I think most people know why. And hopefully that's going to stick to the game plan because affordability is still the big issue out there. But our... state has stood out with some real basic changes and we'll keep doing it. And then when it comes to what the year looks like ahead, remember that austere budget forecast? Well, that was based upon tariffs, which that was a fake forecast because tariffs were discounted.
in the marketplace. And now we've gotten back that billion dollars that we were supposed to not have in each year and running state government more leanly, more efficiently. The last forecast done in December has things looking better than what they did the year prior. Take nothing for granted because most people are aching so bad from Biden's 25% gift that these are high costs and you couldn't get them down. That would take deflation. That would take the opposite of inflation. So you got to work on things like, how do you make it easier to produce more fuel? How do you make it easier to produce more or something? Or how do you get ahead of? Now, utility rates with the whole complicated discussion on data centers, and that's the thing we had the most control over, and we got specific things we can point to there. I saw you on TV, I think earlier today talking about energy rates and data centers, right? Yeah. What was the substance of that message? So if you want to bring a data center to this state, you're paying for it, the construction of it, you're going to put more electrons onto the grid than you're using. That shows up with Indiana, Michigan. I think it's part of AEP. They are coming out with a rate reduction if they follow through on it because of the results they're already getting out of one done up in their area. Nipsco. created a separate entity to put them into. They're lowering things like special charges, disconnects. They're giving more latitude. We're doing everything we can and throwing the kitchen sink at it, but it's the first time any governor is taken on. investor-owned utilities because it's just as strong almost as the health care lobby, which ironically is where we've gotten the most done. And they still complain about... It's being too hard on hospitals and insurance companies. We've only gotten started there. Isn't that a problem, though, with the General Assembly? It's an overwhelming Republican majority, and it feels like it's the same conversation with property taxes. It should be pretty easy. If there's an R next to your name, you should be for limited government, lower taxes. But unfortunately, there's a lot of folks that have an R next to their name that govern, like there's a D next to it. Yeah. So there.
Of course, they gave me Senate Bill 1, gutted it, and we've talked about that several times, and got it back to where there's relief, but not what many that wanted to get rid of property tax or reduce it over time wanted. Here on utility rates, when I appointed... the first four appointments to the Office of Utility Counselor. She is a tough customer, Abby Gray, when AES requested an increase of 20%. She said, no, I recommend a 10% decrease. That set the stage. And then the IURC, Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. I replaced three of the five commissioners to be rate payer conscious. They're investigating the utilities on their rate increases in the past, and they now are going to be rate payer conscious to where I think we're going to be able to get them to finally realize. It's a two-way street, not whatever you want you're going to get done. And we're just getting started on that. So I&M, AEP, if they do that and lower rates based upon more electrons going on the grid, that's the start of it. We're going to be vigilant and not let up. That'll be the first measurable thing any governor has done. And then you go to the legislature. They passed a bill that was actually fairly conducive to it. We did most of it through executive order and how we could impact those commissions. Governor, if these data centers are from these massive companies, right? And these are the folks that are able to afford these. Why should they get tax breaks? Well, their investor-owned utilities. They get their revenues regulated, okay? Utilities are different than nonprofit hospitals, which escape basically all taxes. Here, they've just not had anybody holding their rates down to be accountable. So the main way you impact the utility is they are a natural monopoly. You've got five of them that provide most of the electricity in our state. They've got to have, and they're owned by investors. The past has been the lobbyists say we want to make sure there's a guaranteed return on investment. For the owners of the utilities, we're going away from that. That's not going to be a guarantee. The guarantee is going to be that you give us value by running yourself more efficiently and that you do whatever it takes to lower prices, not get a rubber stamp on increases. So it's a little different dynamic. The main tool we have to use against them is the IURC.
Governor Mike Braun with us. One more thing here on the subject of affordability and utilities. AES, a lot of talk about them being bought out. Is it going to be BlackRock? Is it going to be somebody else? How involved are you, if at all, in the discussions about AES and the reacquisition of that business? The statement was very clear, whether it's Black Rock, whoever. you're playing by the same rules. If the ownership changes, that is going to be a federal issue on antitrust stuff. If they don't do anything about it, there's nothing you can do about it. But just because it's BlackRock, they play by the same rules as whoever they own, if it is a utility. Nothing favored. They don't really add any extra clout to it. It'll be run as a subsidiary, you know, not by BlackRock. They're a holding company and owns a bunch of stuff. But that shouldn't make any difference because the rules will be the same. One more thing here before we let you go. We got the governor, Mike Braun, with us. So we're doing well in terms of the GDP. We're doing well in terms of job numbers. So when can we look forward to that no tax on tips? I know this wasn't a budget year. But if somebody really wanted to, they probably could have maybe made a move on that. I feel like this past session. So that was passed for us to dovetail it. No tax on tips and overtime. Okay. And that passed. Okay. And that will be effective as of... I'd have to check the effective date, but a lot of times that goes into effect July 1st of the new fiscal year. Okay. Because there's a lot of people that were like, I knew this wasn't a budget year, but it passed in the big beautiful bill nationally, and we were waiting for it here in the end. And we tried to dovetail as much as we could. legislature did fight back a little bit because it lowers revenues. You know, in this case, we wanted those two components for sure to be in there and we got them in there. What's next for the state of Indiana? So, I mean, health care costs are still the thing that... We're known most far having the highest with some of the poorest outcomes. We spent a lot of attention on hospitals. We got some health care bills done this session. Did we get the whole Medicare-Medicaid confusion worked out? So that was mostly about Medicaid in our state. Yes. We found when we started picking low-hanging fruit, there were like 16,000 people on Medicaid that should have been on Medicare. We had people double dipping out of a couple states. We weren't checking eligibility. That's like 101. And that's how we were able to save $465 million over the next two years, where Governor Walts and his crew up there had a $8 to $9 billion scam going on. That's a big number. That leering center isn't going to pay for itself, Governor. No, it's just leering.
Yes. Listen, I appreciate your time. I know you have another event to get to. Next time you come back, though, we'll get back into property taxes because I know that's still a hot topic, man, and everybody still wants to jump on it and talk about it. We'll have that conversation when you come back. We can do that, and we're still talking about that with grassroots conservatives. So that subject has not been dropped. And then I think you were going to check to see if you still have beer here on... Thursdays and Wednesdays after five? Yeah, we're going to have to try. We're going to have to fix that. Okay. We've got a bottle of bourbon hidden in the back and maybe we can go to a commercial break and we'll get that out. But yeah, thank you so much. We appreciate your time. My pleasure. My pleasure. Are you really okay with you? Are you okay? Everything's going to be okay. Are you okay? Are you okay? Yeah, I'm fine. I'm pretty fucking far from okay. Are you okay with this? On the Hammer and Nigel. Oh, yeah! One of your favorite musical artists ever, Hammer, Bruce Springsteen. Oh, geez. Going to launch their Land of Hope and Dreams American tour. March 31st. He posted this totally bipartisan non-political video message to announce it. Brothers and sisters, fans, friends, and good folk from coast to coast. We are living through dark, disturbing, and dangerous times, but do not despair. The Calvary is coming. Bruce Springsteen and the East Street band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, D.C., for the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour. We will be rocking your town. in celebration and in defense of America, American democracy, American freedom, our American Constitution, and our sacred American dream, all of which are under attack. But I want to be king and his rogue government in Washington, D.C. Everyone. All right. You can stop it right there. If I hear any more, I'm going to have to go to the bathroom and take a big Springsteen. No, this is nothing. Don't tell me you're all about freedom and you're all about all this. And you go up there with your hack political message. Listen, you can say a lot of things about Bruce Springsteen's music. Some people like his music. Some people don't. I've never been a huge fan. I'm kind of bandwagon. Glory Days was a good song. I hate when people think born in the USA is like a patriotic anthem because it's really not. It's about how crappy we treated our veterans when they came back from war. But no, if I could go another day.
of life on this planet and not have to hear that whiny, uh, freedom, eh, piece of crap ever again. Dictator. Dictator. It'll be 90 minutes of me preaching between every song. God. Political messaging. The older he gets, the more he looks like a lesbian. The older Bruce gets, the more he looks like some of the transition. Look at pictures now. It's weird. Not that there's anything wrong with that at all. God bless all the ladies out there that choose that lifestyle. But for somebody that's never had the surgery, Bruce has morphed into one. I'm telling you. What is Toyota affordability? It's buying smart. Toyota, let's go places. Behold! The Power! You're listening to The Hammer and Nigel show on 93 WIBC. Watched a little bit of 60 minutes last night. Against my better judgment. Was it just on in the background and you kept it on or did you make the decision to watch it? It had an update on the Havana syndrome story about where there's this new technology that can make your nervous system lock up and it's like it happened in Cuba and it happened to Americans all over the globe that work. in the government and it's just it's a crazy story apparently there's this new piece of equipment this this thing that Russia came up with that, like, uses microwaves, and it could target human beings. And it just makes your whole nervous system lock up. Like when you say it out loud, it sounds like some weird conspiracy, like Alex Jay Jones type thing. I know. And like I had heard, I don't know if it was used or not during the invasion in Venezuela. But we're not the ones that came up with it. The United States has been testing according to 60 minutes on animals. Russia is the one that provided this technology, and it was pretty fascinating and pretty scary all at the same time. Because apparently Russia has lost control of the technology, and now anybody can make one of these things. And if it falls in the wrong hands, could be used against anybody. So hold on. Russia treated this technology the way that...
The fine folks in China treated COVID. Eh, we just spilled it. Leaked out. I don't know. Maybe it was intentional. Maybe it wasn't. I don't know. And then the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was featured in an interview, which I thought he did pretty well. Well, I mean, he's somebody that understands the media game. He is, and I think that's one of the reasons, not the main reason, but one of the many reasons. Donald Trump chose a lot of good communicators for his cabinet, people that know how to talk to the American people. And I think Pete Hegseth was, you know, obviously his background is in the military, but he. was working at Fox and Friends, the weekend guy to Fox and Friends before he got tapped to be the Secretary of War for Donald Trump. And he knows how to deliver Donald Trump's message. So he kind of hit back at the host of 60 Minutes for questioning if Iran was actually an imminent threat. President Trump's approach has been our interest in advancing those interests from the beginning. And so the fact that intelligence was gathered, whether from Israelis or ours, and always checked by our intel agencies to make sure it's accurate, a lot of times the best way to start operations is a trigger-based or condition-based moment. And you can work together on whether that makes sense. But we were always controlling the throttle. about whether or not to go or not go, and ultimately to advance American interests and protect American lives. Some might look at that sequence of events and say, well, that it was an opportunity more than an imminent threat. I mean, I think much of that discussion is silly and academic. They've been killing us for 48 years. 47 years, they have unabated nuclear ambitions. And when we obliterated their nuclear program at the end of the 12-day war in Operation Midnight Hammer, they should have come to the table and said, okay, we get it. You mean business. We're not going to have nukes, and they haven't. And as a result, when the president looks at it, generationally, he sees a threat that would continue to gather. Yeah, in fact, they did the opposite. Iran came to the negotiating table and said, hey, we got more stuff to make nukes. We could make 11 if we wanted to. Oh, okay. Oh, really? Hmm. Well, I'm going to tell Pete that, and I'll be right back. Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, on where we're at with the Iranian Navy. What was the Iranian Navy was largely no more. There'll be more boats to be sunk for sure. So their ability to project any power in that area in a naval sense is diminishing. Diminishing and will be increasingly diminished. Again, what I want your viewers to understand is this is only just the beginning. Okay, so last night, and I don't know when that interview was recorded, but it aired last night and it said this is only the beginning.
Fox has a report earlier today that Trump wants to speed it up a little bit. He's ready for an end date to happen sooner rather than later. Now, with Trump, you never know. You just could have caught him at a bad time. Maybe he's at McDonald's. Mr. President, I see you're eating a quarter pounder. What about the war in Iraq? It'll be over soon. I want it to be over soon. Come on looking for it. Speed it up, Pete. Speed it up. Let's go. But I do think there is something to The negativity surrounding the price in oil. Seeing some Americans coming home in caskets. Listen, that's not good optics. I don't care who you are. So I think the president sees all this and he's like, hey, let's speed this up. If we've got the biggest, baddest military in the world, which I believe we do, let's team with Israel and let's end this thing. Let's go. Speaking of the president. Did a chopper presser yesterday before doing some traveling. Good old chopper presser. And he's still trying to clean up some of these American cities. We opened up the show today by talking about how it was kind of a violent weekend downtown and indie. The tourist area, the bar district had a lot of violence this weekend. Somebody asked him if he was still ready to go to war with the city of Chicago.
Say that, darling. That's fake news. I don't go to war. Listen. Be quiet. Listen. You don't listen. You never listen. That's why you're second race. We're not going to war. We're going to clean up our cities. We're going to clean them up so they don't kill five people every weekend. That's not war. That's common sense. Yeah, what kind of question was that? I mean, I feel like sometimes Trump is pretty harsh on these reporters, but most of the time they deserve it. Are we going to war with Chicago? And keep in mind, there's an actual war going on right now, too, where people are dying, prices are going up, and you're going to try to be cute. Are you ready to go to war with Chicago? Shut up. That's the dumbest question. Like, it's a waste of a question. The way you phrased it. If you wanted to ask him, do you still believe cities like Chicago need to have the feds come in and clean it up? All right, fine. Are you ready to go to war with Chicago? Sit down and shut the hell up. Not right now. According to a new survey, the following are the songs, TV shows, and movies. that make Americans horny. Do I make you horny, baby? Do I make you Randy? According to the survey knowledge, these are the top three songs. 2,000 people were surveyed. These were the top three songs that turn Americans on. Are you ready? These are the bedroom songs. Take that for what you will. Whatever gets your mojo rolling. Number one.
It's a classic. Tony by Genuine. Any woman who's been to Vegas and has seen a magic mic show is having flashbacks right now. Wow. Look at that smile on Allison's face right there. I haven't seen her smile that much since the show began. Coming in at number two on the list of songs that turn Americans on. Little Rihanna, S&M. You've heard this, right? No, I've not. I've never heard that. What? He just had the most old man look on his face. What is this? I didn't even understand what she was saying. It really wasn't that. Complicated, okay? I'm just telling you the truth. No, I'd never heard of before. And that didn't turn me on in any way, shape, or form. Well, you couldn't hear it. That's probably why, Grandpa. And I'm sharing a small radio studio with another dude. Well, there's that. And coming in at number three. A little Marvin Gay. Oh, yeah. Get it on. This is part of my karaoke set. If I'm doing karaoke night, you're going to hear Ice Ice Baby, and then after a few beers and a few shots, a very highly inappropriate version of Let's Get It On by Marvin Gay. I've got to be there the next time. Now, if you've been following The Hammer and Nigel's show since we've started, I gave you this little insight into my boudoir when it comes time for me to knock boots. There's only one song that I won't play it in the background.
How can I forget? The Magna P.I. Theme song, baby. Trying to do it to the rhythm of the song, too. Like, that's important to me. Thrusting. Thrusting to the rhythm of the Magnum P. You get a little break here. You can catch a breath. Tend, tin, tin. Right. Now, in terms of the TV shows. Coming in at number one at 22% was sex in the city. Followed by Game of Thrones at 18%. Yeah, the incest scenes were a real turn on to me. Hot take, I've never seen one episode of Game of Thrones. Never really got into it. I saw a few episodes of the first season and just. I know it's terribly popular. I get it, but I just didn't. We had just had our firstborn son, and it was like so much violence. I was like, all right, I don't need this in my head. The Vampire Diaries comes in at number three, followed by Orange is the New Black, True Blood, and Bridgeton. Orange is the New Black about like a bunch of chicks in prison? Sure. Chicks need love too, Nige. Okay. Movies. Coming in at number one, dirty dancing. All right, I can see that. That'll get you going. Pretty Woman was 39 and Titanic was 38. 50 shades of gray just missing out on the top three. Did you ever see 50 shades of gray? No, but I'm sure the coupon lady did and went through the motions with me a few times afterwards. Through the motion. Makes sense why she called me Mr. Gray afterwards. I never really understood it until now. It's the Hammer and Nigel show. A bill in the state of New Hampshire would make it easier to keep animals such as kangaroos, raccoons, monkeys, otters, and skunks as companion pets without a permit. has been rejected by the lawmakers. That's what they were working on in New Hampshire? They've got everything else figured out. Property taxes, the border, fraud, everything else is figured out. They are living on Easy Street in New Hampshire. We want to make it easier for our constituents to own raccoons and kangaroos and keep them as pets. But it was rejected by the lawmakers. And I feel like this is the skunk clause. I bet this probably could have passed through. Like if somebody just said, I'd like to have a pet otter. I'd like to have a pet monkey. All right, fine. But they had to get cute and throw skunks in there. And that... That was a deal breaker. I feel like since the TV show Friends, didn't Ross have a monkey? Didn't they own a monkey? Was there a monkey involved in the TV show Friends? There was a monkey. Allison, can you confirm? Marcel. Marcel the monkey. Okay, thank you for the name. I appreciate that. There used to be a lady that go to the casino in Shelbyville with her service monkey. Service monkey. It was on a leash and it got loose one time. It was jumping all over slot machines. Did it poop anywhere? Did not poop anywhere, but it
confused a lot of people as to why we had monkeys running all over. I'd be scratching my head if I was at a casino at the slot machine and then monkey attacked me. There was a guy from Boston in town for business, went to the casino. I'm walking around the floor, you know, going full, you know, casino manager. Excuse me, sir. You guys normally have monkeys in here? No, sir, we don't. It's not a circus theme. It's not anything like that. It's just a service animal that got away. It's the Hammer and Nigel show.
