Thank you so very much for being here. Thank you for spending some time with us this week, even though I haven't been here the whole time. We have a bunch of amazing stuff going on here. Slightly to our north. It appears Donald Trump has put pressure. on Tennessee lawmakers in order to redistrict their state. And it looks like he has been successful in doing so. And man, are there going to be a lot of talks about... Donald Trump putting undue pressure on the state and whether or not the state can draw the lines and the maps and all this other stuff. And there is going to be a lot of talk about that and what it means for places like Alabama and Alabama lawmakers lawmakers. Because Donald Trump is successful in getting them to draw out a district in Memphis, which again, if you don't know the Tennessee map, the Tennessee map, for congressional districts is nine seats, eight Republican seats, one Democrat seat, which is Memphis. You could look at Virginia and see exactly how they did it there. You could look at the court ruling that says you don't have to draw racially mandated seats anymore. And the door is open. Much like our United States Senator running for governor, Tommy Tuberville, you know, the governor-elect, national championship winning coach, United States Senator Tommy Tuberville, their governor-elect, Marsha Blackburn, Governor-elect, United States Senator Marsha Blackburn, she called for new maps up there. And the legislature there looks as if they are prepared to get into that business. Now, the rules are different. Okay, do not suggest that they are not. There's a lot that goes into this. You know, we can all, like, stop our feet and say, we want it, we want it. Because, you know, that's what I will do. I will stop my feet and say, I want it, I want it, I want it. I absolutely will. But the realities of life and the realities of lawmaking are going to come into play here. I was speaking with State Representative James Lomax yesterday, and he, as others have, has called for a redrawing of the districts. But it's going to require some sort of special session in order to do that.

KIV has already suggested she is not ready to do that. So it doesn't really look as if that is where we are headed here. Now, I'm not saying you can't get there. Because I think you absolutely could get there. And you saw what Donald Trump did in Tennessee. Not a done deal there by any stretch. Not a done deal there at all. But that door is open. That door is open. And you could very easily see Tennessee lawmakers walk through that door. If they walk through that door, you could very easily see Alabama lawmakers walk through that door. Does that mean that's what's going to happen? I don't know. In fact, I don't even think so. Okay? I do not think so. I don't think that's what's going to happen. Okay. I think in Alabama, you're going to have a very hard time getting it done. Okay? And there's a bunch of reasons why. But it is becoming readily apparent that, yeah, Donald Trump's going to push. And he's going to push in Tennessee. And I think he's going to push in Alabama. And I think he could very easily push these lawmakers to dare defend these rights. I mean, it's sort of the motto. You know, we hear about that all the time. I dare defend these rights. You know, we're going to get in there. We're going to force the federal government to tell us no. But we're not going to take no for an answer because it's hard. We're going to do it because it's hard. JFK said something very similar, far more profound than the way I said it. But I think there are going to be a lot of people. who are going to push this, and you're starting to see a little bit of pressure coming from all parts in the Alabama legislature and from across the state of Alabama. You are starting to see it. Now, does that mean it's going to happen? Again, I'll be the first to tell you. If gun to my head, you said, is redistricting going to get done? I would probably argue probably not. Okay, that would probably be my guess, is that it's not going to get done here in the state of Alabama. You're not going to see it. Now, again, it doesn't mean I don't want to see it. It doesn't mean I don't hope we see it. But it looks to me like we could be waiting on yet another ruling here to get it going. So here's what Steve Marshall said. The Supreme Court has spoken, states cannot be forced to gerrymander by race. So this is a watershed moment. The court has shut the door on vote dilution claims that use racial data to disguise what are really partisan disputes. Alabama has been fighting this battle for years, and today the Supreme Court confirmed by a long-held argument that states must not use race either to help or harm particular voters when drawing voting districts.

He goes on to say that the Jingles Test, the 50% plus black voting age population. And excuse me, I have a little bit of a frog in my throat, but that's okay. It kind of normally do. He said that draw to draw additional black opportunity districts was basically null and void at this point. The court rightly acknowledges a quote that the South has made extraordinary progress and that law is designed for a different era do not reflect the present reality. We act quickly as possible to apply this rule. Ruling to Alabama's redistricting efforts to ensure that our congressional maps reflect the will of the people, not a racial quota system, the Constitution forbids. Now. There are a lot of things happening. There are current pending litigations that are ongoing. And I got to say, maybe we try to help that along. People will tell me, Dale, you don't understand the law. And I'll say, no, that's correct. You're right on that. You are absolutely correct when you say, Dale, you don't understand the law. That's true. It's absolutely true.

But know this. Everyone around us is moving. Everyone around us is working on this. And we should be trying to do the same thing. Interesting information, by the way, that I would use if I was maybe running for office, or not running for office, but if I was maybe going to the course of St. Conn, let's move this forward. 90% of white evangelicals in Virginia. voted for the black Republican Winsome Earle-Sears. 90% of black voters cast their ballot for white Democrat Abigail Spanberger. Looks like we don't really have a racial issue anymore on this. Okay? It might be worth noting. Though that information will tell you that we probably don't have. The racial issues, our friends in the media, wants you to believe that we have. Okay? It's worth noting. Okay? They're going to try to make it into like, hey, the world is still as racist as it's ever been. Oh my God, things are terrible. They're also going to tell you, oh, well, you know, we also have a situation where Republican states are going to redraw districts and it's bad. You know who's in favor of redrawing districts right now? Alabama Congresswoman Terri Sewell. Wait to hear what she had to say yesterday. She said, go out there and draw those seats. Democrats seem to be bracing for it there in Georgia. So our surrounding states are like, let's go, right? Well, guess who else is saying let's go? Her name is Terri Sewell. Now, you may know her as the congresswoman from, I believe, is it the seventh? district here in the great state of Alabama. And she, believe it or not, and I don't know, call me crazy, I believe she has the support of white supremacist supporting extremist organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is weird for a Democrat to have, but she was very proud to get the endorsement of the Southern Poverty Law Center the other day. So congratulations to her. They support Terri Sewell. and white supremacy. So, you know, whatever. You know, Terri Sewell, you, the party of Graham Platner, I guess, can do this kind of stuff. Isn't that fun to do? Isn't it fun to do this? Remember when you talk about Terri Sewell and Shamari figures from now on? You need to mention that they are supported by the people that were funneling money to the KKK. You also need to point out, That their party supports Nazi tattoos and stuff like that. Which is pretty funny. Really funny, actually. Because could you imagine if a Republican had a Nazi tattoo? Would people be going on CNN and being like, well, you know, the times they've changed and, you know, Nazi tattoos just really aren't that bad anymore? Which. is weird because a couple weeks ago, we were, a couple months ago, we were told that a Christian tattoo should ban you from being able to serve in the military or being the secretary of war. Interesting. Interesting stuff. Anyway, Terri Sewell has even come out in favor of redistricting. I got to tell you. I got to tell you. K. I mean, kind of a mealy-mouth response.

Terri Sewell, no way. Balls to the wall. Terri Sewell is like, we're going hard, hard. Terri Sewell told Politico she wanted California and Illinois to redraw their maps to eliminate all Republican representation in those states. I take 52 seats from California. I take 17 seats to Illinois because at the end of the day, they're ringing this election to try to win and we just can't sit back here and do nothing. We're going to play their game and we're going to beat them to it. Wow. Wow. Okay. All right. Yes. Yes. Go do it, California. Go do it, Illinois. Draw those districts. You've already rigged them to the absolute extreme. If you rig them further, you know what's going to happen, right? More Republicans are going to win seats because you are going to significantly weaken the seats in those districts, in those states. They already are gerrymander to hell. Terri Sewell, supported by bigots, by the way, Terri Sewell doesn't even know this. She doesn't even know. It's almost like adorable at this point, how stupid she sounds. California already gerrymandered as much as they possibly could. Illinois, it's not even a question. Okay? It's not even a question before. California gerrymandered, which they just did. They have 38% Republican vote and they had nine of 52 seats that were Republican seats. They drew that down further. Illinois has 44% Republican votes and three, three out of 17 Republican seats. And she wants them to do more? Look, I don't know, Kay Ivey. Look, Terri Sewell is calling for partisan gerrymandering. And I got to tell you, I think you should listen to her. Now, Terri Sewell is supported by racist. Okay, she is an extremist aligned with white supremacist. Okay, well, let's say it right. Let's say extremist white supremacist aligned Alabama Democrat. I want to make sure I get this right. I don't want to be unfair. You guys know that I'm all about being fair and calling it like it is. So we'll just refer to her as an extremist aligned with white supremacist groups. Yeah, yeah, there it is. There it is. Terri Sewell is calling.

for redistricting. And she wants it done in a partisan manner. I think you got to listen to her. And I think if you have the support of one of the people that are going to get drawn out, I think you kind of have to do it now. I mean, you wouldn't want to, I mean, she's a congresswoman after all. Respect her authority. Respect her position. I think if Terri Sewell says, redraw me out. I think the Alabama legislature should listen to her. Wow. She's really changed my mind on this. U.S. Representative Terri Sewell, Democrat out of Birmingham, who sought the support of an organization that is accused of funding white supremacy, extremism, and racial violence. Is that good? You got an idea, but as right now, that's probably where we're at. We'll see what we can come up with. We'll see what we can come up with. But that's where we are right now, where we are right now. And oddly enough, this text came in. And it wasn't about my show, but I just saw this on the text line, so I want to share this. This text is not about my show. Okay? Ask yourself, what show is this text about? It would be nice to hear actual news and not name calling and opinions on this channel. So we're getting like, guys, you're giving me mixed messages, okay? This is the same Terri Sewell that has the support of white supremacist, extremist, and racial violence supporters at the Southern Poverty Law Center. Okay, she sought their support. See, I got to come up with one. I don't like it. I got, okay, I will come up with one. Anyway, so she has that support, but she wants redistricting. She wants redistricting. And she wants that redistricting done in other states. She, however, is afraid that there will be redistricting done in her state. Okay? Now she's worried about that. Okay? And I think she's probably right to be worried about it. But her calling for other states to redistrict while she's out here demanding that she not be redistricted.

is, is, is hypocritical? Maybe that's, is that the right word I'm looking for? Yeah, that, that is, that is the right word. It's hypocritical, okay? She is being hypocritical and suggesting that it's okay to go out and do the things when it comes to redistricting in California. in Illinois, and I know she supported what was going on in Virginia. Isn't that weird? Isn't it weird that Terri Sewell supported what happened in Virginia, and now all of a sudden she's like, ah, this is bad? And then turns around and says, okay, all right, all right, this is bad. But we also, we need to do it in California, and we need to do it in Illinois. But not Alabama. I mean, ask yourself, I mean, just seriously. The Supreme Court just gutted the Voting Rights Act making it easier for bad state actors to silence the voices of black and minority voters and harder for us to challenge discrimination in court. That's what she said yesterday. Later on that day. She also said, we're not going back, which, by the way, yes, you are. You're going back home. Okay? You're done. Okay, given the opportunity, you are going back to the house. Okay, that's what's going on. So this old word I every, listen, any time a Democrat says, we're not going back, the response should always be, yes, you are. Okay, yes, you are. Okay, I'm just telling you. I don't, I don't want to hear that anymore from that. We're not going back. Yes, you are. You're going back. You're going back right now. Given the opportunity you are going back. We will, we will gladly send you back home.

As I look through Terri Sewell's recent social media, it's amazing. We're launching a series of events across the nation with the Southern Poverty Law Center. What? They fund white supremacy. Why are you working with them? Are there no other groups? Are there no other groups you can work with? You have to do it. You have to work with them. I love that. I love this idea that they cannot stop, that they cannot stop for a second. They absolutely have to get on board and they have to push with a group of people who are cutting checks to white supremacist. Now, we can also talk about all her silliness when it came to, you know, yelling at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.., but I don't want to talk about that. I want to talk about the hypocrisy of her demanding California and Illinois redraw their districts in order to make them more gerrymandered, well, saying that Alabama should not do the same. And Terri Sewell, when it came to Virginia, was completely fine with what they did. And stop letting people say that Texas started this. That's another little note for everyone. Stop. Stop. Okay? Stop it. Because here's what's actually happened. This is it. This is the truth. And this is what you need to know. All of this started with Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania was the first group that went and redistricted their state, excuse me, when Democrats took over. Pennsylvania was the first state that did that. So don't let him tell you. Don't let him tell you this. Okay? Do not let him tell you that it's all about Texas. Stop. And also, don't let them tell you that we are. where we are in Alabama because of racism and all this other stuff. Okay. Democrats would not be close to a majority anywhere in the last 20 years in Congress if they did not have courts coming in and drawing seats for them. Okay? Just again, keep that in mind. This is the truth of the matter. They're going to tell you. Oh, racial gerrymandering. Oh, racial gerrymandering. Oh, racial gerrymandering. The racial gerrymandering has been outlawed. They're the ones doing the racial gerrymandering. Now, that shouldn't really surprise you because we have Terri Sewell, who, for those who don't know, sought out the support. of an extremist group funding white supremacy and racial violence. Okay, so if you don't know, you know, maybe you haven't been told because our friends in the media are, God, how do I put this? Fricking liars. Okay, so there's that part of it. But if you don't know, it's very clear that one Terri Sewell.

Yeah, she is fine with racial redistricting. She is fine with political redistricting as long as it doesn't happen to her. So Alabama lawmakers, I think you should start quoting Terri Sewell in her demands that redistricting happen. You should get on it and do it right now. very schizophrenic of an audience. Some of you lean into my worst instincts, and some of you seem like you hate my guts. Some of you are like, like, if there were, in my world, you know, they have like the, you watch cartoons and like Bugs Bunny will have like a Bugs Bunny on one shoulder and it's like the devil, but it's bug bunny, but he's a bug bunny, but he's a devil. And on the other shoulder, there's Bugs Bunny, but he's an angel. In my world, they're both devils. Okay. And one is just like a worst devil. Okay. That's really what we're doing here. Okay. And that's what it looks like to me. But you guys, I ask a pretty simple question. You know, more name calling or less name calling. And I'll give you a little taste of some of the response. And this is a little hard for me to understand what I'm supposed to actually do here. Lots more name calling. It's not just more. Lots more name calling. I mean, that's what you guys want. You want lots more. Again, you lean into my worst instincts. Dale, we do not live in California, so I say, screw everyone's feelings and more name-calling. Okay, okay, it's just not... Okay, I've just, listen. The fact of the matter is, I like name-calling. It's fun. It's fun. And maybe it's because I've been bullied my whole life, or maybe it's because I've turned into a bully. I don't know which one it is. You're Dale Jackson. Of course we need more name calling. Okay. So those of you, that's just some of it, that say we need more name calling. But this is, and you guys put a little color on it, not much color on the other side. I'll give you an example here of what we're getting from the other side here. And this is just a little bit of a rapid fire here. But here, check this out. Less name calling. Less. Less name calling. Less. So I'm going to, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to use this to my own advantage here. I'm going to assume those that want less name calling are less creative. Okay. And those that want more name calling are more creative. So I'm going to lean on the fact because I think I'm pretty creative. I think I am. Bugsie, pretty creative. You agree with me right now? Agree? Yes. Okay, thank you. So I'm going to assume, why'd you say like you were a beaten down dog? Yes, yes.

He told me to agree. Dale, it's not name-calling if you're just stating the facts. It's true, but it can't also still be name-calling even if you are saying. Sorry, Bugsie, go ahead. What were you saying? I said you told me to agree. Okay. Okay, that's fine. That's fine. That's fine. And, you know, some people claim that I've changed. I don't know if that's necessarily true. I miss the Dale that would call a person a dumbass every other word. That's a dumbass message. I'll just be completely honest with you. That's a dumbass message. I call people a dumbass all the time, so I completely disagree with that. All right. Back to the issues that actually matter. Yes, we could say speaking of dumbasses and stuff like this, but I could sit here and tell you that other states are doing exactly what we should do. Georgia Democrats are scared. And they're going to their friends in the media and they're telling them, we're scared. We don't know what they're going to do. And they should be. They're bracing for redistricting. In Mississippi, special session. They're expecting it. A plan has been made. by the House Speaker and the state senator who's leading the Mississippi Senate to do a special session when Tate Reeves, which again, God, Tate. I don't care if they call him this, he should be called Tater Reeves. Okay. That's what it should be. I don't even care if he was ever called that at all, but we're calling him Tater Reeves from here on out. But Tater Reeves in Mississippi is calling for a special session. Florida has already done theirs. And they've drawn a map to pick up four GOP seats. Louisiana. They are pausing their congressional primaries in order to redraw their districts. Their election takes place on a Saturday before the Tuesday of our election. So what, three days, four days ahead of ours? Is it three? Sunday, Monday? Yeah, three days ahead. So they're doing theirs. I guess it'd be four days ahead. But they're doing theirs. And they've paused it. So I'm just trying to figure this out here. If everyone else is doing it, how come a sweet little Alabamians can't get in on the action? And I understand there's legal ramifications and all this other stuff. But I'm very upset that are... lawmakers are not listening to Terri Sewell. And I think I could be wrong. I think it might be because they're racist. And not listening to Terri Sewell when she says, they should gerrymander. They should do it now. We should make it happen. Now, she's not talking about Alabama. She's talking about Illinois and California, but she's saying it.

And I think not taking her seriously might be because she's black and they might be racist. Don't be racist, guys. Listen to Terry's. This is The Dale Jackson Show. Jim Rome takes on sports. You force Nick Saban to come out and say what a great deal Kalin DeBoer has been for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Yes, the legendary Alabama coach. is saying absolutely the right thing, saying he agrees with the decision to extend Kalen DeBoer's contract. He said this while he was at the region's pro-am, noting that coaching is a highly competitive field, and the move strengthens Alabama's position. It also makes Kailen DeBoer much richer. All he had to do was listen to you guys gripe and complain about how you wanted him gone. or suggest that he was leaving to go somewhere to the Big Ten or something, which was never happening. He's got the world's best job. He left, I believe, his dream job in Washington in order to take this. So come on, guys. Let's just be real about it. He ain't going nowhere. Number six. United States Senator Katie Britt. pressed NASA's chief on the future of the space launch system rocket program. The SLS, and if you know anyone who works at Marshall, they'll tell you this is a very important thing to them. The SLS system. has secured a commitment to fully implement the $110 million nuclear thermal propulsion funding. Okay. That was during a Senate subcommittee on the agency's final 2027 year budget request. She opened by praising the Artemis II mission, which is correct, and highlighted that Marshall Space Flight Center played a major role in this and said, look, we're going to continue on here, right? We're going to keep going. Things are going to go well, and we're going to keep this pushing, and we are continuing. Okay, we are going to continue pushing forward on this. Isaacman said he is not pursuing a transition away from SLS and expects the system to remain one of the two ways forward. Number five. A DOJ, excuse me, task force found that the Biden administration was zealously anti-Christian, which is not a surprise.

And in many different ways, they were using people's faith against them. Yep. They engaged in aggressive prosecutions of Christians with traditional biblical views, ignoring consciousness objections, and even secretly keeping tabs on Catholic priests. The DOJ-led task force to eradicate anti-Christian bias released 14 findings on Thursday confirming that Biden officials forced Christians with traditional biblical views to choose whether to live in accordance with their faith or risk violating federal law. They also concluded that the Biden administration generally tolerated religious beliefs that were privately held but zealously pursued actions to limit Christians' ability to act in accordance with their faith. Gross. Number four. President Donald Trump's economic pressure is squeezing Iran as Tehran faces the possibility that it cannot outlast the sanctions and naval blockade with talks in limbo, a 60-day ticking clock and Senate Democrats pursuing. The war powers resolutions, which they, for some reason, think is going to end the war in Iran. Susan Collins, for some reason, decided to vote to end the war in Iran. Listen, these people are out of their minds here. All they're doing is signaling to the Iranians that they should just wait this out. That's all they're doing. This is so incredibly anti-American. It's strange. It really is. We are overwhelmingly winning a war. We've got a blockade where shots aren't even being fired. And Democrats in the media are mad about it. It's pathetic. Number three. All right. Other states are doing what Alabama should be doing, including Tennessee, where governor-elect, United States Senator Marsha Blackburn, and her allies. are calling for a special session, which is probably going to happen. That's happening. They're not the only ones, though. All around us, it's happening. And there's a reason I'm pointing this out, so bear with me here for a second. In Tennessee, Memphis, it's just a tiny little speck of blue. It's the only one. And they're looking to stop it out. Similar redistricting efforts advanced in Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida. As Democrats decried the moves as partisan power grabs. I mean, if anything, they're consistent about that. I mean, they would never support partisan power grabs because that would be awful, Virginia. Number two. Oh, oh, oh. Oh, yeah. They would also support those partisan power grabs in places like California and Illinois. Yeah. Terri Sewell, who sought the support of an organization.

that is accused of funding white supremacy, extremism, and racial violence, called for all GOP districts to be eliminated in California and Illinois, saying, I take 52 seats from California and 17 seats from Illinois because at the end of the day, they're rigging this election to try to win. They've already rigged these elections. They've already gerrymandered the hell out of them. They can't do it anymore and protect those seats. It's impossible. And she's calling for them to do more. So will she calls for gerrymandering? We should all say, okay. And they should name the gerrymandering bill after her. Time for the number one thing you'll be talking about today. Okay, there's a little bit more to what's going on here. We need to think about this because in the great state of Alabama, we've got other issues other than, oh, the Supreme Court says you can do this. We're just going to go ahead and we're going to do this. But Alabama has asked the Supreme Court to quickly review its pending court case dealing with the congressional district maps. a move that could have major consequences if they were able to be successful. So that's one side of this, okay? Okay? There we go. We have that. Governor-elect, national championship winning coach, United States Senator Tommy Tuberville is calling on state leaders to now draw new maps that more accurately reflect the views of Alabamians. Governor Kay Ivey, the current governor, and Attorney General Steve Marshall hailed the Supreme Court landmark Voting Rights Act ruling, but noted that Alabama's hands remain tied until its own case clears the high court. So we have that going on as well. Okay? So we got to pay attention to this. This has to happen. We need to get a little bit of a resolution. Steve Marshall, again filing emergency motions with the Supreme Court. because we need to move this thing forward. So Steve Marshall's on top of this. That's happening. So Attorney General Steve Marshall asked the Supreme Court to move forward quickly. Tommy Tuberville says, let's do this. Marshall and Kay Ivey have both hailed the decision, but today our hands are tied. That's where we're at right now. So they are seeking a solution here, and they are trying to move forward. That's where we're at. Terri Sewell says we should do it, though, so I just hope they will give her what she wants. It's very important to us, and we need to move this forward just a little bit. But we'll work on this. Those are the seven things you should be talking about today, and I got to tell you, in a normal world, number five would be a number one. We already know that Terri Sewell and Shamari figures, both Alabama Democrats and Congress persons, sought the support of an organization that is accused of funding white supremacy, extremism, and racial violence. But what's also amazing is to listen to individuals defend Graham Platner, who is being given all sorts of leeway here in order to continue being the nominee. And they don't even care how ridiculous they sound. Imagine them going to a Republican and being like, so like, what's up with this guy with the Nazi tattoo? And it's like, oh, it's, what, what are you talking about? No big deal. The dude hasn't not had a Nazi tattoo. I mean, let's be clear about what's going on here. I mean, is that? How do you view that? I mean, it seems to be at least somewhat disqualifying and traditional. Certainly historically. I mean, let's take a couple issues, including the comments he's made in the past. I mean, he's been very clear. By the way, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know we're talking about the Nazi tattoo, but I forgot about the part where he said a bunch of other stuff where he's like black people don't tip. Also, he said that it's good that Hamas did a lot of stuff that they've done. Yeah, I mean, yeah, well, I mean. Let's bring all that up. That he went into combat on behalf of the United States. He went through a really rough period. Yeah. PTSD type period. We all get Nazi tattoos and we have PTSD. It's totally fine to do. And he is himself said. There are lots of things he's done and said that he completely regrets. And I do believe people should have second chances. And. that people can learn from their mistakes. Yeah, I mean, every now and then when someone gets raped, you should always say that you should act like an adult if you get raped. It's your own fault. Oh, definitely something you normally would say. I mean, it's a completely fine thing to say. Oh, and it's also fine to say that if you get raped, you should have been wearing Kevlar panties. It's completely fine, guys. If a Republican said that, it'd be fine. Remember what they did to Roy Moore? Zero evidence. But just the allegation enough was to destroy him. This guy saying all sorts of crazy stuff, doing all sorts of crazy stuff, and they're like, oh, God, you know, it's fine. Now, if this were a Republican candidate who had had a Nazi tattoo, covered it up when he was running for something, and had said all the things that he had said about black people, about women, about rape, et cetera.

Do you really think there's a world in which Democrats would be like, let bygones be bygones? Abby Phillip, for once in her miserable life, actually making a good point. I had to stop. I was so shocked by it. I usually expect such stupid things to be said that when she says something smart, you're just like, Is she okay? Be like, let's just let bygones be bygones. That's the past. Today's the president. I think we're entering a new era and we'll see what the base wants. We'll see who wins when the actual election happens. But for the past decade, Democrats have been unified by our opposition to Donald Trump. And now, Graham Platner has a forward-looking message. So if Donald Trump or if another Republican had a Nazi tattoo, I don't know, Donald Trump has dinner with Nazis. It's not that far from, you know, it's happening. I mean, Trump. I mean, you got to remember Trump. I mean, we're going to suggest Trump might have a Nazi tattoo and that he has dinner with Nazis, which is not true. But forget about that, Donald Trump. Forget about the guy who actually has it. Donald Trump. There's also plausible deniability regarding Graham Platner's tattoo. We don't know if he knew. We don't know what he knew. But it's not just the tattoo. It's not just the tattoo. It's not just the tattoo. Listen, that sounds so pragmatic. If Republicans want to clutch there. Ruthlessly, you want to win. Are you willing to overlook the- Stop. Stop. Why are, why in the world is Arolda Rivera? I didn't even know he was here. Why are Rolna Rivera and Abby Phillip sounding like sane people? This is how crazy this is. the tattoo. It's not just the tattoo. Listen, that sounds so pragmatic. If Republicans want to clutch their... So ruthlessly, you want to win, so you're willing to overlook his Nazi tattoo? But if Republicans, guys, if Republicans had that tattoo, boy, oh boy, we'd be very upset about this. It's great. Just great. Keep going, guys. Keep going. You got, God, it's wild to hear. But look, this is who they are. They've decided to put this guy up, make him the face. They're going to give them all sorts of interviews. They're going to try to clean him up. And people are going to go, isn't that the guy that said that if you get raped, you should act like an adult? Isn't it the guy who said black people don't tip? Isn't it the guy who went out of his way to say and do all sorts of terrible stuff? Oh yeah, and he had a Nazi tattoo. Oh, yeah, and he had a Nazi tattoo? Now, look, I get that people like Terri Sewell are out there chasing the support of people like Graham Platner. White supremacist, extremist, racially violent people. Yeah, that's fine. No, all good. This is The Dale Jackson Show.

The senator, the very important individual who will join us here on this very program to have a conversation about redistricting and things of the like. Bugsie will give him a call and we will get him on the program as soon as he joins us. We have a lot of questions to ask him because we really have to know what's going on. And what we're going to do when it comes to redistricting. I worry, are they going to ignore? Are we, are, are, are, are, are, are, are, are they actually ignore what the greatest representative. In Alabama history, Terri Sewell wants. I just, I don't know. I, I don't know. I, I, I don't know. She, she wants redistricting. And I think it's wrong for us not to listen to her. She's made it very clear. Now, yes, yes, it is fair to say that she is aligned with the Southern Poverty Law Center. She sought their endorsement. Yes, they funded the KKK and other white supremacist. So I think it would be fair to say. that there are white supremacist aligned members of Congress in Alabama that want redistricting. But Terri Sewell aside, okay, it's still a good idea. Okay? It's still a good idea. So let's bring State Senator Arthur Orr on the program with us. Look, I know this is a dicey subject, but Terri Sewell, the congresswoman from the 7th Congressional District, who sought the support of an organization that is accused of funding white supremacy, extremism, and racial violence, is demanding that redistricting happen right now in California, Illinois. So, what's Alabama going to do? Well, I think it's, you know, I know this is not going to please the Zen Master that had a good time in Cabo, but it's still just a wee tad early to make that call just yet, but let me tell you to us for sure. There are a whole lot of discussions going on. all over the country on this issue. So, you know, there's just a whole lot going on and a lot of discussion. And we'll, you know, we're running out of time. And I think everyone knows that if we're going to try to do something by the 26 election period. And you've got two issues. You got the federal issue and the federal redistricting. And you've got the state issue in the court mandated change of Senate districts in the Montgomery area.

So all that to say, Dale, there's a lot being looked at, a lot being discussed. I'm sure the lawyer meters are running overtime. In fact, I know they are. So I think by this time next week, there'll be certainly a plan in action. Now, far be it from me, and I would never overstep my bounds. But I would let you and others know that Tennessee. Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana. They are all moving forward with stuff like, and I just want to ask you, is this a possibility of the state of Alabama? Is it a possibility that we could be looking at a suspension, a pause of the GOP primary, excuse me, the primaries in Alabama like they're doing in Louisiana? Well, that's where you get to, you know, we have cases, you know, state case and the federal case, well, both in the federal courts, but the state legislature case and the federal Congress case that are both. bouncing around in the federal appellate dockets. And so that's where we're in a little bit different boat, Dale, than these other states you reel off. Our boat is different. And, you know, people certainly need to understand that. It makes it more complex of how to go about. any type change if those if that decisions are made and it may be at one level and not the other you know it's just too early to give any kind of definitive direction on it but like said I would conjecture that by this time next week there will certainly be a direction on both fronts so Here's what I find interesting about this. And it's just kind of a question. The Louisiana thing, obviously, and we talked about this with Sam Gavan yesterday. The cases are different. They're all brought for different reasons with different angles. But we all, I think, are in agreement that the three-judge panel couldn't have done what it did without the... God, I'm so stupid on this. But the Voting Rights Section 2, they never could have done their thing that is operating in a different track without Voting Rights Section 2, correct? Correct. Yes, I would think that's a safe statement. And you know, what's interesting is not to run a rabbit, but what's ironic, and I have only seen this in one article in the media. But what started this whole process of where the courts interpreted the Voting Rights Act, et cetera, comes from Texas in the early 70s where Texas Democrats, you know, the Democrats doing this,

In some areas where there was high black population or high Hispanic population, they had multi-districts lumped into one, whereas if they'd pick an area, and let's say the city of Dallas, they would carve it up and have, say, three or four congressional districts representing the city of Dallas, but the whole city would vote on them. But those four representatives had to live in their district, but the people that didn't live in their district got to vote on them because they were residents of Dallas. And what that did was obviously defeat and dilute the black vote, and white Democrats were able to get elected time after time after time. They didn't do that for the whole state. It was one district, one person representing that district. Anyway, I find it incredibly ironic that all this started with the Democrats. Then they turn around and use the Voting Rights Act against the Republicans claiming racism and redistricting and things like that. So it's just here we are, but I'm so grateful that the Supreme Court is adding clarity to the issue and seeing it for what it is. Now, I would be remiss if I did not mention this that. Terri Sewell, the congresswoman from Alabama, sought the support of the Southern Poverty Law Center, accused of funding white supremacy and racism and racial violence, and she sought their endorsement. But she put out a statement yesterday, we'll talk into Politico, that said, and actually, I'm going to be kind of unkind here, so bear with me. It's very stupid. But I repeat myself when talking about Terri Sewell. She, her statement was basically this. California should redraw their seats and Illinois should redraw their seats to draw out all Democrat or all Republicans. Now. She's going to have a hell of a time flipping that around and being like, you guys shouldn't do this in Alabama. We shouldn't do this. I'm not asking for consistency from her, nor am I asking you to read her mind because how? How could you do it? How could you read the mind here of this? But... It's interesting to see Democrats sort of taking this path of, you know, hey, we should draw these people out because they already did that. That's how we got here. People keep saying it's about Texas. I remind people it's not. It's actually, you can go and clearly look where this all actually started. It started in Pennsylvania. That's the truth of the matter. Nobody wants to talk about that part, but it's true. And Terri Sewell is demanding that those states go ahead and do that. And I think you should listen to her. Is there any a... Am I right on that? Well, you know, ultimately, I don't think it's healthy for the country. Now, you know,

presumably, and I certainly don't know the demographics of California or Illinois and how their populations stack up. I know northern, you know, the eastern side of California is much more conservative than the coastal side. Yeah, you can only draw it so many different ways, right? Illinois, huh? You can only draw it so many different ways. If they dilute it further, it puts them at risk. Right, let me tell you, with computers and the demographics, you know, that are known to the computers and, you know, redistricting is a science now. It is really, they can get it down to the block and to the street and to the household and know, presumably, how people, you know, vote in that household. And that's... It's almost kind of scary. But what you could see, Dale, is all these twisted, long, contorted districts, you know, take Illinois, for example, you know, the southern side being red and the north, the Chicago area being very blue. You can see a bunch of fingers all coming out from Chicago, but they want to keep the Democratic candidate in place and then bring in Republicans at a 35, 40 percent basis to keep the Democratic ensconced. You know, if my point is, if race totally goes out the window for them, that's what they'll be left with. And just relying on the computers to do what benefits the Democrats. No, you're exactly right. And I want to highlight that what you just said is exactly what they did. in Virginia. The scenario just laid out. Go look. They take their fingers and they go directly into where the D.C. suburbs are. And then they go all the way out across the state to draw these districts. They're trying to do that similarly. And a mutual friend of ours, Senator Bo Watson, out of Tennessee, text me yesterday. And Marsha Blackburn has come out and said, hey, we need to do this. And I think they're facing a ton of pressure here to do a very similar finger thing in Tennessee that would impact the Memphis area and basically use those fingers to kind of to do that. I don't think that's going to be necessary in. the state of Alabama, because the state of Alabama, you had to sort of already gerrymander racially in order to get Terri Sewell and Shamari figures districts that are favorable to a black Democrat, which is exactly the purpose of what they did. So redistricting is not going to be hard. You look at Florida. Florida's map in order to get a bunch of more Republican seats looks. completely normal and then you look at places like Illinois, it looks completely insane. So can the dish, that's a long witty way to ask this question. Can the Alabama legislature, I know it can be done with computers and stuff, can the Alabama legislature draw two more Republican districts without putting Mike Rogers and, you know, others at risk?

Oh, well, you know, there are ones floating around on the Internet that have been floating around for months to do that very thing. So, you know, according to the Internet, and I hadn't checked them out and looked at the population, but they looked like pretty stably. crafted maps. I don't know who drew them. I don't know where they came from, but they show different shades of red, but they show the whole state of Alabama being red. So the presumption would be that they certainly could. You know, one thing I would think, Dale, that if all this happens, and you've got, let's go back to Illinois, and you've got all these fingers coming out of Cook County drawn for, you know. political purposes. I think we fall back to where we should be about communities of interest, talking about, you know, the areas that are represented by this particular district. Do they have commonality? Is it one region of the state, you know, one area of the state that have always kind of been in the same basket or considered in the same basket rather than... Cook County, Illinois, stringing 200 miles to the south with a 50-mile swat, taking in all this farmland and communities that have never had any relation to the Chicago area. I mean, those kind of practical thoughts in my mind will resurface when it comes to challenges to partisan redistricting. Exactly true. Exactly true. I think that's true. I could ask a serious question here at the end and said I'm going to ask a ridiculous one. So here we go. My question to you is this, can you name the bill that is used when they redistrict the Terri Sewell you asked for this redistricting bill? I'm sorry to disappoint you on a Friday, but I'll have to think about that one. Okay, all right. Well, we'll ask you again. Okay, so here's a serious question. Here's a serious question for you. How much does this change when Donald Trump sends off his true social saying, Alabama, go get those two seats? How much does that change? Well, again, we've got a little bit more complex situation here with the pending cases that are in the appellate process. I think I read an article yesterday saying that they were trying to get a ruling, a quick ruling based on the Calais case and that new precedent. So again, I think this time next week we'll certainly have a direction. Okay, well, I'm going to answer my own question then. Okay. The answer is a lot. because I was talking to people in Tennessee about this. And they're like, I don't know. I just don't see it. And then Donald Trump sends out the true social. And they're like, I guess we're going to have a special session. I guess. I guess we're going to. So again, yes, there are a thousand things that are going into this that have to go through the courts and all this other stuff. But I think by this time next week, Senator Orr, you'll be saying, Mr. Jackson.

You are a sousayer. You are prescient. You are someone who understands this better than maybe even me. And you're right. I guess we're going to a special session. It's incredibly hypocritical on her part. She could easily just come out and say, we shouldn't be doing this. This is wrong. We shouldn't be doing this. But she didn't do that. Instead, she came out and said redistrict for Democrats, but don't do it for Republicans. It's an abomination against democracy. They don't believe any of this stuff, guys. How often have I told you this? They don't believe anything. They have no core at all. Everything is about what is happening right now and nothing else. Everything. Every single thing that they say is completely situational and I would say transactional would be another way to say it. And they don't have any core beliefs. Someone whose district is absolutely gerrymandered like Terri Sewell should not be talking like this. She also shouldn't be courting the Southern Poverty Law Center, but her and Doug Jay Jones cannot get enough about the Southern Poverty Law Center. They just, they can't get enough. The organization is out there putting money in the pockets of clan members and helping support violent rallies. And they just cannot even remotely. See how bad it looks to run out and jump on the Southern Poverty Law Center defense team. And Doug Jay Jones, the cowardly caretaker, former junior senator from the great state of Alabama in an ill-fitting suit. It looks like he just woke up and stole his shoes from a homeless person who will never be governor. I think he's applying for a job there. Okay? I think that could potentially be what he's trying to do because they're looking for a leader right now. And Doug Jay Jones isn't going to have anything going on here in just a little bit. Come November, this guy's going to have nothing to do. So he might be able to get out there and get a gig, but that's what it looks like to me. And it's paying like $500,000. And here he is trying his best and his damnedest to run defense for these guys. I mean, wouldn't it be easy to say, look, they shouldn't have given money to these white supremacists? They shouldn't have helped them as they were planning rallies slash riots. We shouldn't have put people on our list.

Our hate watch list where they had guys like Charlie Kirk and people they were giving money to. I'm talking about groups and individuals. Their legal issues are not predicated on whether they're a good group or a bad group. It's predicated on the fact that they were doing financial fraud. But Doug Jay Jones doesn't want to talk about that because he wants their support. The support of people who are funding white supremacy. Okay. You got it. I don't want that support. I ran myself out of gas. Just because I was going to the Circle K near my house, I was like, I'm going to get the best deal. And I get there, and all of the pumps are closed. Oh, no. And the place next door, their gas was over $4. So I had to go to that one because I couldn't make it home because the Circle K was out of gas. And I was so ready to save so much money. And I lost way more than I would have. ever saved that's unfortunate for you because uh i love circle k and i love their little circle rewards and every now and then i put a card in and it's like oh you get 20 cents off gas i'm like okay sweet it was gonna be so awesome yeah yeah okay all right well yeah you blew it you blew it but that circle k's still not as good as when yaffy had like their drink this is one of my favorite time periods of ever yaffy had a drink membership at circle k yeah and all you had to do was like put your phone number in and you it would it would give you a free drink so i would just put yaffy's phone number and steal his drinks because he only get one a day it was great it was fantastic it's why they got rid of it it might have been it might have been i mean that was wonderful they had yeah they got rid of their i can't believe they had drinks memberships and then i can't believe yaffy bought one It was like five bucks for the month. I know. I know. I'm aware. I thought it was, I think it's fantastic. I love every single thing about it. All right. Austin, what are you hating on? I'm hating on ticks. They've come back. People are reporting getting bit by ticks. I just, I really enjoy outdoor fun jumping into a watering hole going on a hike with friends. And I just, every summer I get, I get a little antsy. I get a little fearful to go out there because I'm going to get ticks on me. Can I tell you something about these ticks? I was reading this the other day. I think I could be wrong about this. Rarely am I. But I could be wrong about this. I think this is an attack by vegans. Now, I've heard Bill Gates. I have not heard vegans. Yep. Think about it. Have you heard about these ticks that if they bite you, you become illegal to meat?

Illegal to me. Sorry, I'm sorry, not illegal. Sorry, sorry. Unable, I don't know I said illegal. But you become allergic to meat. Have you not heard this? I knew somebody who had that. I'm terrified. Body blue needs to be bitten by a tick. But that's, other than that, I don't know anyone else who needs to be allergic to meat. But yeah, if you get bit by one of these ticks right now, apparently you become allergic to meat and you can't eat anymore. So I think the vegans are spreading this. Yeah, for your thoughts. But I'm also hating on her because I didn't sleep at all. yesterday when we got back from from combo all night i got back like three o'clock so i wasn't going to go to bed because i you know normally i get about like 345 so i wasn't going to do they're a talk radio host they get up at like 11 p.m. to do morning shows what are they doing yes i don't get i don't get it i hear about that and i'm like what are you doing like what exactly is your strategy they're scripting the whole show that's the only thing i can think of I go the other way and don't prepare anything. But the point is, when I got home yesterday from doing my two radio shows, my TV show, started editing the TV show and all this other stuff, she was just like, we got this to do, we got this to do, we got this to do. I'm like, am I going to get to go to sleep at all? Am I going to get to go to bed at all? And she was not interested in this. And this woman sleeps all the time. So much so that maybe she's depressed. Like that's it. But no, I'm just kidding. But she sleeps all the time. And she's like, was not giving me the appropriate sleep allowance that I think I needed yesterday. So I'm hating on her for it. I truly am. I did all the laundry. And she's like, you're not going to clean up the kitchen? Like she actually asked me that. Because my mom was watching Grant and just did no kitchen work while I was there. In any other day, Yaffy, what I'm about to tell you would be the top story. Okay. The Biden administration was specifically targeting Christians. Okay. And we know this. We saw what they were doing with different situations involving, you know, abortion clinics and stuff like this and how they targeted people and things like that. But it was far more than that. They have messages from. agents in the Biden administration who were like, I can't wait to go after these nuns and priests and stuff like that. Oh my gosh. Yeah, the Biden DOJ values White House and senior leadership that federal employees' religious objections to the COVID vaccines were insincere and not religious. The Civil Rights Division sidelined Christians in favor of preferred constituencies. The Biden DOJ immediately went to work to mandate the adoption of gender ideology throughout the federal government far beyond the Supreme Court's ruling. And to take it a step further, they targeted Christians and they wouldn't let them adopt because of their religiosity and their non-adherence to the gender ideology, transgender stuff. So they've gone from... Gay people should be able to adopt because it's better than an orphanage. Two Christians can't adopt an orphanage is better. It's crazy. Insane stuff. The Biden DOJ aggressively opposed concerned parents through the Garland memo and used its enforcement authority against parents who defended their children's safety at local school board meetings. Just again, think about this. It's the number one story, if not for... The war in Iran, the redistricting, the attempted murder of the president of the United States again. Am I right about that? Well, and the fact that it happened under Biden. So the press won't cover it as much. That's the other reason. I love how we were like, oh, there's a deep state. And they're like, you're crazy. There's no deep state. What are you talking about? And then they're like, oh, not only was there a deep state, it was an anti-Christian deep state. Great. Yes. Yes. Correct. Absolutely correct. Absolutely correct. And that should be a huge story. And for some reason, it's just kind of like.

Look at what they did. Everyone's like, yeah, we knew that. I mean, that's really it. I mean, it's truly like, look what they did. And everyone's like, yeah, no kidding. And I hate to hear that. But that is right. I mean, we truly are just saying, of course, of course that's a thing. Of course that's what happened. Almost saying like, why wouldn't that be happening? Right? I mean, it's pretty wild. And I'm not saying you're a better Christian than I am, but you obviously are. So how much impact does this have any in that world? Probably having a big impact, but I'm just going to say this is how you get Trump. This is why Christians, despite Trump's flaws, will put up with him and vote for him. I think that's true. I think you're absolutely right. And I think that as people. hear what's going on here. I think they're going to be really pissed. I think they're going to be really pissed about this. And I think rightly so. They should be hyper pissed by this. Because again, and again, I want to highlight, you know, a little bit of hypocrisy on my part that I'm like, oh, we should be talking about this. And like, I've given it very short shrift here today. And there's, I think it's pretty clear. That this kind of stuff is a really big deal. And they targeted Christians. And I think that's an important thing for us to talk about. But we were talking a little earlier. Chris Love wanted to comment on the Graham Platner stuff. And I think it's an interesting conversation because I got to believe that the American media wouldn't be like, well.

you know, it's a Nazi tattoo, but he did cover it up. And, you know, he did say black people don't tip. And, you know, he also said that, you know, they should pee on bodies and stuff. And Hamas, you know, they're doing pretty good. I just don't think that the media would be kind of looking the other way on this. So let's bring Chris Love on. We'll talk a little bit about Graham Platner, and then we'll talk some redistricting as well. Chris, thanks for being here. Graham Platner, man, this is an interesting thing for Democrats to get behind. There should be a couple candidates this election cycle where they're just like Donald Trump is uniquely evil, so we don't care who any of these other people are because of Trump. I mean, that seems to be the takeaway. Am I misreading the general reaction here? Good morning, Dale, and welcome back. You know, I was listening to your show earlier, and I caught the segment where you're talking about Graham Platner, and he's the oyster farmer from Maine running for U.S. Senate. You know, when I initially heard about him, okay, you know, prior veterans, so I'm always for veterans running for office because they're... also serving their country in a different capacity. But also, Dale, when I heard about his racist past, I was like, oh, wow, that's not good. But, Dan, I'm just going to be very honest with you. People make mistakes. People do stupid, asinine things. And I can't judge somebody for doing something stupid, even something racist. But if they apologize about it, they make amends with it. Because we all evolve. We all grow. And when I sent you to text and thank you for having me on, I know this is not Wednesday. But I can't fault anybody for owning up to their mistakes. Okay. But what about what about what about we say now? I mean, his Hamas stuff is not. I'm not familiar what he's saying now. So you have to let me know. Okay. So his praising of Hamas. goes back and it's been deleted. It's been deleted. But his praising of Hamas basically says that a deadly raid by Hamas looks like an all-around well-executed and successful small unit raid to me. praising how they did it. And he talked about how this. Pragmatically, I have a little problem with killing an enemy combatant who you attempt a cash for whatever reason cannot. From a strictly professional standpoint, this is a damn fine looking and successful rate against a superior opponent. Quote, I dig it. I mean, all of it's a quote, but I find it just to I wanted to, I dig it. I mean, that's a, that's a pro Hamas comment. I mean, are. I get that on the left, there's an anti-Israel issue. I get it. And on the far right, there is too. So don't get me wrong here. But on the left right now, there is just, there is a real problem. Because I think there's a lot of people who are.

Pro Hamas. And I think Hasan Piker, who I'm not going to ask you to defend this idiot. But Hasan Piker was when hearing about Graham Platner being the guy now because the candidate there dropped out, Janet Mills, was like, he supports Hamas. What more do you want? Like that's what the base wants. It's like, what? It's crazy. I'm sorry, respond to all of that. Well, I'm not familiar with the latest thing he said. I definitely will look at it. But end of the day, it's up to the voters. You know, no matter when candidates run for office, they just can't get in office. They have to be scrutinized by the voters. And, of course, Grand Platte, he's still got an answer for the stuff he said in the past. But I've seen on YouTube on news that the man did apologize about that. I'm not familiar with his late thing what he's saying about Hamas. So, unfortunately, I really can't speak on that. Okay. If a Republican candidate in 2013 said women should wear Kevlar panties if they don't want to get raped or women shouldn't drink too much if they don't want to get raped. That's 2013. So that's 13 years ago. This is a 50-something year old man. He was only 39 at the time or something. He's just a little kid. He doesn't know anybody. Just like Hunter Biden was only 51. Leave him alone. But, you know, if a Republican candidate said that. Do Democrats go, eh, he's apologized? Well, one, there's a little different context, Dale. What I'm talking about is racist comments. But as far as sexual abuse or sexual assault, to me, I can't speak for Democrats as long as you speak for me at this point. That's a whole new different area. Yeah, yeah. My point in bringing it up. My point in bringing it up is. It's not like he had one bad comment. You know, ha, ha, ha, black people don't tip. I've heard that a billion times. I've worked in the service industry. There's all sorts of stuff. Anyone that's worked in that industry has heard some variation of this and whatever. I don't even care about that. The point of bringing it up is it's not one thing. He's got the Nazi tattoo. He's got all this other stuff going on. He's got all these things that he's doing. And Democrats are just like, yeah, you know, at least he hates Jews. Yeah, whether people in Maine going to vote for him, that's up to the voters. I'm not, you know, I'm not denying that this guy got some skeleton in his closet. But I think what I'm saying, really as a black person, I rather deal with the person that I know is racist. So when you look me in my face every day, when you shake my hand, I know you got nothing for me.

I'd rather deal with that because I know it's coming. I can guard myself around you. I can protect myself around you. But every day when I leave my house, like I'm literally pulled over because I was driving to work, but I really want to talk to you. When I leave my house, I meet, I interact with a lot of people. I rather deal with the person I know that you don't think nothing of me, despite my achievement, despite my dedication to this country. So that's what I was saying. At least he's out in the open. He made mistakes. He's owned up to it from what I see, but I haven't heard anything about this Hamas thing. I'd rather deal with that type of racist than the racist that spawn on your face and tried to stab you in the back. Here's an alternate view. Yeah. How about not a racist? We didn't mean not a racist. How about someone who's not a racist? Instead of dealing with the open racist, how about one that's just not a racist? Well, you know what? Yeah. Would that be ideal? That would be ideal. That would be perfect because, you know, what the Supreme Court is saying, we should live in a colorblind society. That race should not. be drawn into politics. I agree with that statement, but the question is, do we live in that society now? Like tomorrow, I have my Limestone County meeting, and we have a Dakari Lariat coming to speak, and it's open to the public. As a black person... running for U.S. Senate in Alabama, and Dale, this is a thing I hear a lot on your show, is that people should be judged by their qualifications and not the color of their skin. That's all we've been saying since Reconstruction. And thank you for allowing me to guest host on your show. I had Dr. Will Boyd on, and I asked him a question. I wasn't sure I was going to ask them, Dale, but you know what? I'm going to go there. It was the last question I had with them. I said, Dr. Boyd, is Alabama ready for a black governor? And I know a lot of people are surprised when I asked that question because I've been getting comments about it since then. Sure. What I was saying was, can Alabama, can Alabama voters? You know, keeping in mind the history of Alabama and black people, in 2006, can Alabama's look past the color your skin, look at your qualifications, and decide whether they're going to vote for you or not vote for you based on whether you qualified or not versus basing you're just black. Well, let me give you my response to that kind of questioning. And the racism of the Alabama Democratic Party aside, because if he is not the nominee, I mean, you guys might be racist. That's sort of how guys like me can spin that, but I'm not going to. That aside, here's what I do know.

And I found this to be very interesting. Exit polls from CNN found, wait until you hear this. Yeah, if you want to get your response first, then we'll let Chris Love respond to. 80% of Virginia Republicans voted for Winsome Earle-Sears, a black Republican. Yeah, yeah. 90% of voters on the Democratic side voted for Democrat Abigail Spanberger. I think. If you put a Republican who is black in Alabama and you have him running for governor, I think he's got a better chance to be governor than Will Boyd does. Yeah, for your thoughts on those numbers and that assertion. Yeah, I was going to agree with that. And the Winsome Earle-Sears point is a really good point. I think if you have a good conservative. candidate. You put up in Alabama? I think there is a chance they could win. Scott Jennings mentioned this. I'll let you respond to your second, Chris. Scott Jennings said this on the show. One of the guys was like, oh, there hasn't been a black Republican governor since Reconstruction. And Scott Jennings goes, well, I mean, there was one on the ballot in Virginia and white Virginia Democrats wouldn't vote for her. I mean, I mean, this whole race thing is being flipped on its head and Democrats are going to have to eat it. And look, I think we are more colorblind than we were yesterday. We'll be more colorblind tomorrow than we are today. I think we're moving in that direction. And I think Democrats have been slow on the uptake. Well, definitely so, Dale, because one, as a black man. I'm having a conversation with you being a white radio host. So, yes, there has been progress. I'm not saying that. If there wasn't, I wouldn't be on your show. I wouldn't be the Limestone County chair where back in the 80s, the Ku Klux Klan was marching down Main Street. As far as reconstruction, the reason why we had a lot of black Republicans, because after the Civil War, Since Abraham Lincoln was a Republican, majority of black citizens became Republicans. Now, the reason why Winsome Earle-Sears did not win with Virginia, because it was not due to her color of Skittles based on her view. Agreed. Oh, my God. Yes. That's the point. Exactly. Exactly right. 100% true. 100% true. And when Terri Sewell gets drawn out of her district. and runs and loses, and it will probably be 2030, not 2028, or it'll probably be 2028, not 2026. It will not be because of her race. It will be because. She kind of sucks. I mean, that's how white people will say it because of reviews. They disagree with it. Same exact thing. But not all Alabama is dead. That's what I'm saying. You're only talking about a certain percentage. Yes. Of course. I mean, you mentioned, you mentioned. If you feel like she is not a good representative of her views, that's fine. What I'm saying is that I hope in 2026 people are voting not because the color somebody's skin or their gender.

based on whether or not they feel they're qualified or not. Agreed. 100%. We'll talk to redistricting stuff next week, but I do want to mention it. Hold on. Don't go anywhere. I'm going to here yet. Hold on. You mentioned the Klan walking down the street in Limestone County in the 80s. I would suggest, and maybe you've done this, I'm not suggesting you don't know. But I would suggest you go look at the photos of that. And what you're going to find is a bunch of very scared Klansmen and a bunch of very angry white people. that they're angry that they're there. Yeah, this is based on what my wife told. I'm not from Alabama. This, my wife is from. No, no, they absolutely. Look, they marched in the 80s. Yeah, no question about it. Yeah. And I, people may not remember this, but I turned away a clan rally by giving them 30 minutes of radio time years ago as well. I said, if you don't host this, if you stop this nonsense, I will give you radio time and you can get your message out as stupid as it is and we'll talk. And I wasn't. was a prick to them. But I got them to not do their rally in order to do that. And that was 2009, I believe it was. Mojo from WZYP has a pretty funny story because at the end, the guy called up and was like, I'm coming to get you. And I'm going to blah, blah, blah. And I was like, that's fine. I'm outside smoking a cigarette to come and find me. And Mojo said that his wife called him and was like, does Dale smoke? And I was like, no. I think he just kind of said that. Come beat you up. And that was the joke I was making. It was an inside joke. But Mojo was like, yeah, thanks for that. Really appreciate it. So, yeah, I don't think you ever worked in the service industry, so you don't have any insight on this. Well, we didn't get tips. Yeah, you never worked in the tipping world. I've delivered pizzas for a while. But, yeah, okay, fine. Look, it's what Graham Platner said, the only reason it's hypocritical and the only reason it was paying attention to it is because. If a Republican had a Nazi tattoo and said stuff like that and praised them. Guys, there's no way they wouldn't just be destroyed him every second of every day. So stop, all right? Do you think Jimmy Kimmel's days at ABC are numbered? It seems he is more of a liability for the network with his subpar ratings and toxic humor when it comes to conservative assassinations. I think his days are numbered, but I also think that there's a potential that, you know, we don't want to give in to the power that Trump is trying to flex.
