Now time for the seven things you'll be talking about today. Number seven. Well, it looks like insurgent Republicans will work to sink the mega bill reconciliation package that has been proposed with U.S. Senator Thom Tillis leading the charge from North Carolina and deciding that he will block this bill if, if. They decide to include Save Act language in it. So he wants that stripped out. They want those voter ID things removed. I don't know why. It's just, it's incredibly frustrating. Most Americans won voter ID protections for elections. And for Thom Tillis to do this and block this over it, he's probably going to be successful in blocking it, but it's very frustrating to see them doing this. And everyone knows this is a completely reasonable provision. Number six. Governor-elect, national championship winning coach, United States Senator Tommy Tuberville. loves data centers far more than he should. He is continuing to back Donald Trump's data center push, calling them a, quote, goldmine for Alabama that could support law enforcement and education while stressing the need to protect ratepayers from higher electricity costs. Okay, now he's getting closer and closer to the actual issue. And I think this is good that he is now talking about rate payers and things like that. He's right. by the way. Again, I keep highlighting this. It sounds like I'm being critical of him. I'm just being critical of the way he's talking about it. But he is correct in the sense that this could be a gold mine for Alabama. We just got to make sure all the right protections are in place. It's going to be pretty hard to make these arguments because I think the worms turned on these big times. Number five. Oh, but Donald Trump loves these things. Tommy Tuberville loves these things, but Tommy Tuberville also has a strategy for using these things. Wait until you hear this. It's a bad day for the unemployed. Yeah, showing us plans for all these data centers. Governor-elect National Championship winning coach United States Senator Tommy Tuberville said he would use artificial intelligence. as governor to reevaluate everybody on welfare and SNAP benefits. He would use AI to figure out what's going on and why the state is wasting so much money, potentially losing a bunch of money on this. And he is making it very clear, very clear that he has an idea for how we're going to use AI. The state could lose hundreds of millions of dollars based on our welfare benefits already, but maybe not. Number four. And to come full circle on AI, a wrongful death lawsuit now alleges that ChatGPT convinced an Alabama woman named Christian Faith Madison. Holy cow, what a name. Christian Faith Madison to kill herself.

They allege that the AI convinced her that in order to fulfill a divine prophecy, she needed to step out onto Interstate 22. It alleges that the chat bot fostered delusions, isolated her, and promised her resurrection after her death. I mean, this is a hell of an allegation. That has to be proven in court, and we'll see, you know, you can sue over anything. But the lawsuit says chat GPT led her to commit suicide. And that's just crazy. Completely crazy. Number three. Republican candidate for attorney general, Catherine Robertson, promised action against the state's antiquated school desegregation orders from the 1970s. arguing recent Supreme Court logic on redistricting, excuse me, it's not like a news person 31, could help resolve them. allowing more efficient use of the Attorney General's resources. Look, I think you're right about this. I absolutely think you're right. In our school desegregation orders targeting Alabama from the 70s are absolutely ridiculous. There is really no way out of them based on how they're done and how they're put in place. And it's time that they end. They limit the ability of local schools to do things on discipline, to do their own redistricting, and things like that. School zoning buses, all sorts of stuff. All sorts of stuff. Number two. President Donald Trump released classified election intelligence during a primetime address that reveals shocking vulnerabilities. That is a quote. And I'll tell you, it does. Yeah, it does. It reveals shocking vulnerabilities in the U.S. election system, including claims that China was meddling and using data exploitation in the 2020 election. He also called for the Save America Act to be passed, which a lot of people, as I mentioned, are poo-pooing. I just got to say, if you don't think it goes far enough, well, modify it. Oh, I don't see how voter ID change. Okay, then put something in that you believe would. Maybe you just don't want to have voter ID because you realize you benefit from there not being voter ID. I don't know that's Thom Tillis' game. I think he's just upset with Trump, but that's another story. Now, time for the number one thing you'll be talking about today. Alabama lawmakers say, hey. What are we doing here? Why haven't we passed the Save America Act? Some Alabama lawmakers want to blow up the filibuster in order to get that done. That doesn't work for me. I'm sorry. I hate...

6:43

That idea, I'm not a big fan of blowing up the filibuster, but some do say to do that. You have Barry Moore and others suggesting that that be done. Tommy Tuberville is another one. Those will be two guys who will be in the United States Senate. I'm just telling you this right now. You blow up that filibuster. We might, we might. live to regret it. That would be the best way I could put that. So I'm not a big fan of the idea that we blow up the filibuster in order to get things done. Yes, I am aware of the argumentation that says, well, you realize that if we don't do it, they're going to. Right? Like, that's the whole thing. If Republicans don't blow up the filibuster, you do know. that those damn dirty Democrats will do that. Well, yeah, I think that's actually very possible, but I'm not a big fan of them doing it either. And I'm hoping, one, they don't get the Senate back and two, that they calm the hell down. That would be nice. Barry Moore said the same America Act has never been more important than it is right now. 278,000 non-citizens registered to vote in federal elections. To which the media goes, well, so what? It's not as if they're actually voting. Well, how do you know? A lot of states weren't even turn over their data. That was another thing that was said last night, but one of the networks covering this, they came out and they said, you do understand that some states didn't even participate in this. So the data he has is incomplete. I'm like, that's not the argument you think it is. That is not the argument that you think it is at all, to be honest. That is an argument for Donald Trump getting what he wants on this issue, not an argument against it. Well, some states aren't even participating in looking at their roles. How do we know what's actually going on? It's like, no, I know I heard you the first time. That is not the argument that you think it is. I promise you that. Let's take a quick time out.
