Our top story this hour, President Trump hosting a White House dinner for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. President Trump revealing the crown prince is investing $1 trillion into the United States. This week we're also signing exciting agreements on civil nuclear energy, critical minerals, and artificial intelligence. The Saudi leader calling the opportunity huge. The president noting the U.S. signed a strategic defense deal with the nation. We're taking our military cooperation to even greater heights by formally. Designating Saudi Arabia as a major non-NATO ally. And thanking the Crown Prince for his help in securing a Gaza peace deal, saying more bodies of hostages have been delivered to Israeli families. Fox News. Murdered Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi came up during the press event with the crown prince and President Trump at the White House. The CIA concluded that the prince approved of the murder of Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in 2018 because Khashoggi had written several articles critical of the prince. The prince answered the press by questioning the credibility of the CIA report. Governor Greg Abbott is designating the Muslim Brotherhood and Care, the Council of American Islamic Relations as foreign terrorist organizations. This paves the way for the heightened enforcement against those organizations, and it also prohibits them from buying land in Texas. The governor accused the group's leaders of trying to forcibly impose Sharia law in Texas. National Security Hawks once again sounding the alarm when it comes to China. A Chinese business buying up a trailer park right next to a highly sensitive U.S. military installation. The fact that this trailer park is so close to a U.S. stealth bomber base isn't an accident. This trailer park can be used certainly for espionage to track the flights of the B2 bombers, but also it can be used for sabotage. China expert and author Gordon Chang says it's time for America to start taking these threats seriously. The Chinese are preparing for war. We Americans think we're at peace. Until we understand the gravity of the situation, we will not take the measures that are necessary. He added that we never would have allowed an adversary like al-Qaeda to pull off something like this. Ethan Buchanan, News Radio 740, KTRH. With affordability now the number one issue, some conservatives warn that if the Republicans don't focus on the economy, they could lose. Next year's midterms. The Democrats are going to make cost of living their winning message. They're going to attack Trump with this cost of living narrative. Make it known that the cost of living is worse in blue cities and states. Throw it back at the Democrats' face. Have them explain why their cities and states are the worst for cost of living. That's political analyst Ken Raposa, who says voters won't care who caused the inflation. They just want it to be fixed. KTRH News time is 504. Escape from New York is happening. Real estate brokers in Florida are seeing New Yorkers ready to move with the election of new mayor Zohran Mamdani. But it's not something we're seeing much of yet here in Houston. Greenlight offer real estate's Sean Zavery says the overall market has been slowing down the past quarter or so, but home sales are good. They're selling, but it's just taking a little bit more days on the market, a little bit more outreach, a little bit more proactiveness rather than reactiveness. And now might be a good time to buy a home if you can since it's a buyer's market and many people are thinking of other things this time of year. Mike Shiloh, News Radio 740, KTRH. Another sector of the economy is doing better than expected. Construction spending rose nationwide this summer despite predictions of a decline. The increase was led by residential construction, National Association of Home Builders President, Jim Tobin telling Fox that they're getting a boost from government policy.

Letting builders build, which means lowering permitting fees, speeding up permitting times, opening more land for building. So there's a trend ahead of us. We just need to kind of weather this little bit of uncertainty here in the short term and hopefully we'll take off in the next few quarters. In Texas, residential construction is down slightly this year, but Houston leads the state in new construction permits. There are new questions about the reliability of Texas' embattled power grids. Google is building three new data centers here in Texas. Their CEO, Sundar Pachai, says that projects this size need a good regulatory environment, land, and plenty of power. Happily, we have found all three in Texas. The operator of the state's power grid says they've been flooded with requests from companies wanting to build data centers, which brings up concerns about reliability. At a meeting last month, Ercott discussed a plan that would give priority to projects that agree to power down during crunch times. I'm Rex Oates. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud will miss this third straight game when they host the Buffalo Bills is Thursday night for Thursday night football. Stroud has not cleared concussion protocol. Good morning. Pets. Let's talk about pets. We're to open up the show with pets today. I've never had a pet monkey. You ever wanted to have a pet monkey? Some people do have pet monkeys. I've never tried that one. I've heard one too many stories about people getting their face bit off because the monkey went crazy. That and I'm not really interested in changing diapers at this point in my life, which I think you would pretty much have to do. Although monkeys are fairly smart, right? Can you train them? Can they be trained to use the toilet? Instead of having to wear diapers all the time? I wonder. reason why I'm asking all these questions. I don't know why I got started monkeys. I should have got started on raccoons is what I should have started with. Researchers are saying that raccoons are inching closer to becoming pets. Here's what they found. They found that to wild animals or what we would normally consider to be wild animals. And by that, I mean things like raccoons, possums. What else would qualify is that? Deer, foxes. They're all starting to look even cuter. The ones in the urban areas are evolving a little bit. They're becoming a little bit cuter. The idea here is evidently that as they get more and more used to people, they kind of become more and more domesticated, which is not to say you get all the wild out of them. I don't think you ever could. But it's all part of... The things that make people want to adopt them. Now, if you're online on social media and Facebook and you see reels and all those types of things, you see videos all the time, right? People feeding deer, watermelon, you know, they come up right in their yard and they put their arms around them and the deer are used to them. And some that even come in or rescues of baby deer or baby foxes or baby raccoons.

that had been abandoned by their mother, and they get brought into the house, and before you know it, they're like a house cat. Now, the videos all look really cute, and it probably helps to encourage people to think that it's okay to make them a pet, but that doesn't necessarily make a good long-term pet. So here's my question of the day. For those of us... who are, you know, have a cat or cats, have a dog or dogs or dogs and cats, which of course were wild at one point in time in history. They became domesticated. Is it too far-fetched to think that other animals could be domesticated if you ever considered or have you ever had something other than a dog or a cat as a pet? Something that people would think of something that is in the wild. something that you would never think of bringing into your home. You go to the, you or anybody you know who's done that, go to the iHeart radio up, KTRH, hit the talk back button, first name, where you're calling from, and the most undomesticated pet you or a friend or a relative or acquaintance has ever had. You know, turtles, I guess you could count turtles. The problem will have the turtles. is they live too long. You know, you have to be prepared to pass them down to somebody else. I mean, if we can teach them where to put the paper towels in the restroom, where to put the toilet paper. If you teach the homeless where to go poop, that would be a good start. Teach them how to flush. Teach them not to put diapers in the shopping baskets. That would be nice. Let's go to the north side here. This is not real serious. But the other thing that's going on right now is home values. About 53% of American homes have lost value in the last year. Your home is worth less this year than it was last year. And that is a trend that seemed to be continuing. Now, there are some areas that are hit far worse than others. We've been much more stable, I believe, here in the greater Houston area. And in Texas, in general, than many other states like California or New York, for example, where the home values are starting to plummet in some cities. And quite honestly, maybe they needed to because things were just generally unaffordable. But what kind of a difference would a portable mortgage make? as far as maintaining home values. None of us, especially people who bought in the last four or five years at the top of the market, you don't want to hear that the value of your home is going down. That's not the direction you want to be going in. Here's Steve Forbes yesterday talking about portable mortgages and home values. Mr. Forbes? Hmm, interesting. Mr. Forbes, let me try this one more time. You got me pot it up in there, Markup? Let me try it again. You mentioned the movable mortgage in effect. That should have been done years ago. We have these 3% mortgages out there, which frees people in their homes, hurts job mobility and the like. So why can't you have a portable mortgage where you can take that mortgage to your next house? And assuming you qualify and all that good stuff. So there are a lot of innovative things that can be done. And one of the things I hope the administration will be doing, and it helped bring. housing back a real market is contrast what it takes to build a housing development in a place like Texas or Georgia or Florida versus California in Texas you can get a project to prove within weeks California a lifetime Zillow came out and said 53% of home so more than half lost their value in the last year that is the biggest percentage since 2012 the end of the last housing collapse I worry

that the government will intervene and try and prop up those housing prices rather than letting them come down, which would open up the market to all the people who are upset about affordability and being forced to rent rather than own. homeowners may take a different view once they buy a house to have it go down in value especially with a mortgage and we have to remember since 2020 housing prices median housing prices have gone up 45 percent far higher than the rate of inflation and so the way we deal with this thing is really sounds polyanish but the only way you deal with it is in addition to these reforms in the market make it easier to actually build a house is higher wages, a booming economy. And that solves a lot of problems. And getting these Fannie and Freddie and these neo-socialist communist entities out of the market. Yeah, well, easier said than done, especially when it comes to Fannie and Freddie. Those are federal programs. Here's Eric Sharp. Good morning, 532 on News Radio 740 KTRH. Our top story this hour. The new Texas redistricting maps are now on hold blocked by a federal court in El Paso. This came down from a three judge panel in Texas, and they basically ruled that Republicans cannot use those newly redrawn maps in next year's midterm elections. The U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown, who actually was nominated by... President Trump authored this decision and said that the new maps would harm black and Hispanic voters. The Texas redrawing set off a nationwide redistricting battle with California passing a ballot measure to give Democrats more seats. So this may actually take some pressure off other states like Indiana that were perhaps next in line to redraw their maps. That's Fox's Aishah Hosni, Texas A.G. Ken Paxton has already said he's appealing the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court. Both the House and Senate. passing a measure that tells the Justice Department to release all files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Florida Republican Congresswoman Anna Apollalina Luna telling Fox that Democrats use the issue as a political weapon. The president has pushed for transparency. I have frankly had many members conversations about this. And I think what we're mostly disgusted about is that this entire time, it does seem that this has been only used to smear the president.

President Trump says that this week he will sign the bill when it arrives on his desk. Senator Majority Leader John Thune said that's expected to happen today. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos among the guests spotted at President Trump's dinner in honor of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House last night, Trump addressing the crowd saying that Saudi Arabia would be receiving a special designation while also praising the investments of Mohammed bin Salman. Tonight, I'm pleased to announce that we're taking our military cooperation to even greater heights by formally designating Saudi Arabia as a major non-NATO ally. The president earlier in the Oval Office said that the prince could help bring stability to the Middle East. The meeting comes after Trump announced he plans to move forward with a weapons deal that would allow the kingdom to purchase F-35 stealth fighter jets from the U.S. A House committee is holding a hearing on members' stock trading. It's called the Taking Stock of the Stock Act. And it comes after the report that Nancy Pelosi made roughly $130 million in stocks during her career. The American public is seeing this and saying this is clearly something smells here. People just are very untrustful of what they're seeing. In fact, 80% think it's wrong. That's Bob Hogue, writer and editor for Red State. This looks wrong. It smells wrong. It is wrong. And I do think action will be taken. I just don't think it'll be that quick. Texas congressman Chip Roy has already introduced legislation that would ban stock trading. Jeff Andy Biggs News Radio 740, KTRH. American thinker writer Susan Quinn says that good first step for young Americans would be to look at better career paths like trades, which could help put home ownership back in reach. More and more Americans across the country feel like the American dream is dead. Some say the affordability crisis that killed it can be reversed, providing young Americans course correction. We see graduates burdened with incredibly expensive student loans, hundreds of thousands of dollars, and for degrees that in many cases simply aren't practical. KTRH News time is 535. Wealth in America is not what it used to be because of inflation a $100,000 a year salary 10 years ago only by $73,000 in goods this year. That's one reason that we're hearing of people with six-figure paychecks telling pollsters they're in survival mode. Properties are not selling at the rate that it was selling earlier this year. I would say first and second quarter are very strong.

Bank rate analyst Mark Hamrick says now, even when used to be upper middle class appears to be slowly sinking. The Dems are acting high and mighty after their election wins this month. They need to curb the enthusiasm. They're bragging about wins that don't really move the needle. What we saw are leftist cities, leftist states, select leftist policies and leftist leaders. So really nothing has really changed. Political strategist Vlad Davidiak says all they did was pick people who favor anti-American policy, all because they're anti-Trump, and they'll just never learn their lesson. They're hoping to repackage some of these failed policies and failed ideas to motivate the base voter of... the left. He says these places will bear the burden of their choices soon. So here's the thing about, again, COVID-19 in my world anyway, COVID-19 is no different than the flu. It's just a different variety of the flu. It has evolved to the point where it's not very dangerous for the vast majority of the public. If you have a compromised immune system, I get it. I would avoid getting around anybody that has any form of the flu, including COVID-19. But I don't think it's any more dangerous at this point than COVID-19. But what's really interesting to me to get to this poll is the partisan divide. that exists not only when it comes to getting vaccines, but especially for getting flu shots in the COVID-19 vaccine, the latest incarnation of the COVID-19 vaccine. Republicans, 83% of Republicans say that they don't want to get an updated COVID shot compared to 44% of Democrats. And although it would be kind of a generalization, I can guarantee if you want to find out if somebody is a Democrat or a Republican, ask them, so have you gotten the latest COVID shot? And if the answer is yes, they have just identified themselves as a Democrat. If the answer, or more likely, they have to identify themselves as a Democrat. If they are a Republican, more likely a rhino, you might be able to tell a lot about their politics just based on that one question. 540, time for traffic and weather together. I should get a medal. But maybe sometime toward the end of the month, early part of December, some of the meteorologists that study that kind of thing think that it might let loose some very cold air for a good bit of the country. Now, there's a lot of question marks about that. Where, when, how cold? All those significant details are... very fuzzy at this point because that's so far out um so we'll watch it and um we'll give you about a day or two to notice that it's going to get really cold But right now I'm watching for some rainfall because one, we need it. And two, we've got a slow moving storm that's heading our way and that will bring us some rain. Not a lot of rain today and tomorrow. Only 40% of Texas residents are white, while white voters on this map would control over 73% of the state's congressional seats. So, if this thing could end up in the Supreme Court, probably, but it will impact people, including a candidate for CD9, Alex Mueller. We'll talk to her coming up next. First, though. All right, well, we have drugged the line here in Texas, but it looks like the line is going back to the old line, at least for now it's going back to the old line. After a three judge panel, federal judge panel, including at least one appointed by President Trump, have decided. that the new congressional map here in Texas is not constitutional, and we're going to have to use the old one. Now, this is likely going to go to the Supreme Court, but how quickly they hear it and whether or not they hear it in time, they have an impact on the midterm elections remains to be seen. One of the candidates who would be implicated, or not implicated, but be impacted, pardon me, by this, is Alex Mueller, candidate for CD9. They redraw the lines here if we don't have a new congressional districts, several new congressional districts. What happens to your candidacy, Alex? Jimmy, then I go back to the private sector and keep running a small business trying to create jobs, but obviously I think it's incredibly important that we keep the House majority. And just a step back, this is a shockingly bad decision. And I do believe it will be corrected by the Supreme Court in very quickly. I don't think there's any doubt of any Texan that this map, the big, beautiful map, was passed to better reflect Texas conservative voting panels. And that is a legal valid form of gerrymandering that this three-judge panel agreed is valid. What it was so shocking is they've apparently ruled that now any gerrymandering that favors Republican must be racially motivated and therefore invalid. Well, only gerrymandering that we've all seen Democrats do, even here in Harris County Commissioner's Court, how they ended up with their 401 majority, but that's valid on its face.

The reasoning is kind of interesting. I don't know how you look at white versus Hispanic voters, but I kind of lump us all in together as far as that goes. The fact that they consider only 40% of the state to be white, but 73% of the representation would be white. I'm not quite sure how the math works out on that because I don't know how they've divided people up based on race. Well, and that's why, what was that to you? I think why so many of us are conservatives, right? I'm half Hispanic. Am I now somehow differently represented or is that my identity? No. So it's really outdated. And like I said, it's not even a valid argument. And what it comes back to you is, you know, this is a Republican judge decided to team up with a bunch of Democrats. and you know overrule the kind of the duly elected authority that our Texas legislature had. It is not for the judges to be drawing these lines. Our Constitution gives that to the Texas legislature, and they did it in a legal, valid way. But this just gets back to me when you have these weak Republicans. It's very similar to what happened with Kempact and impeachment. A bunch of Republicans or a handful decided to team up with Democrats to circumvent the will of voters. And my opponent, Briscoe, was one of those. I'm grateful that we had a strong federalist judge who was the dissenting opinion. And just for the fact that history does repeat itself, the current congressional mass that they want us to go back to, this was challenged as well. And the same good federalist judge that's trying to act as in his authority, Judge Jerry Smith, he was the dissenting vote in 2018. The Supreme Court ultimately did side with him. And in his recent decision, he was the lone dissenting voice as well. So I'm confident that sometimes the street does repeat itself, and SCOTUS will move judiciously here and fix just which is... Really just an absurd and patently bad decision. Well, and hopefully they get to it quickly. There are several other states that are going to be having court challenges because they have been changing their maps as well. North Carolina, Missouri, they drew new maps. Virginia is trying to draw a new map. California voted to draw new maps. So there's going to be a lot of things for them to consider. So December 8th is when we're supposed to have everyone completed. In my recent alone, there's 11 candidates. And you start multiplying this, but behind, like you said, there's other states. But Texas, obviously, being tip of the spear, that this has very significant implications for, you know, who's going to be controlling the house. And so I do think this will go to the top of the docket. It's already been, sorry, the state's already moved very fast, so appreciate Ken Paxton and the Governor Greg Abbott's team. So I don't see how you would delay, just given the huge strategic impact that really is going to be in control of D.C. And again, this was a thoughtful process. I mean, even going into making the decision to file, I was very comfortable with the legal risk, understood the background in the law. And there was nothing about this. You know, under President Trump, Texans have shifted more conservative. Yeah. This is a new match to reflect those voting preferences. It's that simple. And so I do believe it can move quickly and we'll keep running hard. It looks at it. There's too much on the line, but very good questions. And I would say, yes, this was a shock and unexpected that a Republican judge would team up with the Democrats in a very, I would say, flawed legal analysis. Alex, hang in there. It's not over yet. President Trump hosting the Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House for dinner last night, saying both nations are extending their military cooperation and signing a strategic defense agreement. Formerly designating Saudi Arabia as a major non-NATO ally, which is something that is very important to them. And I'm just telling you now for the first time because I wanted to keep a little secret for tonight. Saudi Arabia has also up their pledge on of $1 million, or excuse me, $1 trillion in investments into the United States as well. Texas Senator Ted Cruz telling Fox it's the first step in the bigger picture. I believe the Saudis will enter the Abraham Accords, and you want to talk about taking a massive step forward for peace in the Middle East, expanding the Abraham Accords to bring together Arabs and Jews. That is historic, and only Donald Trump has been able to do that in our lifetime. The visit by the Saudi Crown Prince is the first such visit since 2018. Trump also confirmed that they will be selling F-35 stealth fighter jets to the Saudis as well. Well, Jimmy mentioned it at the top of the hour. Governor Greg Abbott designating the Muslim Brotherhood and Care, the Council on American Islamic Relations as foreign terrorist organizations. And this paves the way for the heightened enforcement against those organizations, but also prohibits them from buying land here in Texas. The alarm is once again being sounded about the American land being bought by China, including the trailer park that a self-described CCP affiliate recently bought next to a stealth bomber base.

As an emergency measure, the United States needs to force the divestiture of this trailer park and all other Chinese land that are close to our military and sensitive sites. China expert and author Gordon Chang says China could use this to collect intel on the American military and our B2 stealth bombers. The U.S. needs to treat this like a threat that it is. Texas real estate expert Cliff Freeman says there's no quick fix on the horizon. At the end of the day, it's build baby build. Building is the only way we're going to get ourselves out of this roughly 4 million nationwide shortage of homes. And the raccoon kind of becomes like a house cat, except a raccoon is always going to be a raccoon. And you can't 100% trust them. The story also says that these wild animals, as they become more domesticated, they get cuter. they actually physically get cuter so that you want to adopt them more. So I'm asking what is the most unusual pet you or a friend or a relative have ever had? And how did that work out for you? I mean, there's some things like, for example, African gray parrots. That's like the punchline from a really bad joke. except it's true. So how the H.E.L. did that ever happen? Gordon Chang joins us. Chinese expert and author who's been warning us about China for decades. And we just kind of keep playing into their hands, don't we, Gordon? We certainly do. We're a society that thinks we're at peace. The Chinese are fast preparing for war. And that means although we're a far stronger society, Jimmy, we could very much lose our country because we're not defending it. And that trailer park, it's next to the only Air Force base that houses B2 bombers. All of our B2 fleet is within easy range of that trailer park. One more thing. Remember about a year ago, Ukraine destroyed a third of Russia's long-range bomber fleet by sending out drones, which were released near a Russian Air Force base. The same thing could happen to us, but it would be more devastating because we would lose all of our B-2s. So this trailer park is owned by a Chinese individual. What is their connection to the Chinese government? Yeah, it's a Chinese couple that through various shell companies is controlled. Some people say by Miles Guo, who appears to be an agent for Xi Jinping. So clearly there is a convoluted ownership network, but it goes back to a couple that has connections themselves with the Communist Party. Is anybody monitoring what's going on at this trailer park? Well, The Daily Caller did because Philip Lenchowski broke the story, but nobody else was. And by the way, this story about the trailer park near Whiteman Air Force Base, it's mirrored in so many other Air Force bases across the country because China has clearly tried to put its people very close. When my wife and I were at Luke Air Force Base, which is Phoenix, we were told the story. In Phoenix, by the way, the Air Force runway is right next to privately occupied warehouses. Well, a Chinese guy tried to rent one of the warehouses at one end of the runway. He was denied permission to do that. Unfortunately, the Air Force was paying attention. But six months later, that seemed Chinese national. tried to rent space at the other end of the runway at Luke Air Force Base. So this is not just coincidence. This is happening all across our country, Jimmy. While it was happening here in Texas, too, which is why we finally, the state legislature finally passed legislation to prevent Chinese nationals from buying property here in Texas. And Governor Greg Abbott took it a step further yesterday. You may have heard about this, where he is now banned.

two Muslim groups, including CARE being one of the Muslim groups and the Muslim Brotherhood being the other one from buying Texas property, that's probably going to end up in court. Our top story this hour, a federal court blocks the new Texas congressional maps. A three-judge panel in El Paso says the state cannot use the new congressional map redrawn by Republican state lawmakers this year, making five seats more favorable to the GOP. While Republicans insisted the new map was driven by politics, the ruling states there's evidence the redrawing engaged in racial gerrymandering. The Voting Rights Act does not allow for racial gerrymandering, but the courts have generally upheld ideologically drawn lines. After Texas redrew its lines, California voters approved law, redrawing theirs to make five seats more favorable to demonstrate. Democrats. Missouri and North Carolina have also redrawn their maps and other states are considering redrawing theirs. Jessica Rosenthal, Fox News. The House and Senate both passing bills Tuesday, compelling the DOJ to release the Epstein files with the House voting 427 to one and the Senate voting unanimously to release them. This after Democrats raised objections over the release, hoping it implicated President Trump, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley telling Fox.

The president has nothing to hide, but Democrats sure do. A lot of people suddenly are going to get real reticent to talk about Epstein, whether it's Hakeem Jeffries, whether it's Larry Summers. The president ordered the Justice Department to investigate Epstein's connections to Democrats. President Trump announcing the United States could be headed towards a deal with Iran at a White House dinner with the Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed bin Salman. The U.S. military bombed Iranian nuclear facilities in June over concerns it was building a nuclear weapon. On Fox's Sean Hannity, White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor, Stephen Miller, says that event to open the door for other Middle Eastern allies. President Trump's bold and courageous action to obliterate Iran's nuclear sites and nuclear capabilities, that's what opened up the possibility of peace and security in the Middle East. Miller attended that dinner. Iran's president said the country's nuclear program will be rebuilt, but they are not seeking to build a nuclear weapon. With reports that Nancy Pelosi made over $100 million in stock profits during her time in office, House Committee will hold hearings today to address members trading. And even $100,000 salary is stretched these days by fast-growing insurance, car repair, health care, and inflation costs. Political strategist Dave Vladik says that blue states and cities elect leftist candidates and then set themselves up for a struggle. The policies and the leadership selected by these locations has already been proven to be a failed approach. New York's communist mayor is doomed to fail because every single promise that he has made is completely out of reach without bankrupting the city. But Megyn Kelly on her podcast, he wants to know, I think we all want to know, how long has the FBI been sitting on information? Why haven't we gotten an official statement from the FBI with more of the background on this would-be assassin from Butler, Pennsylvania? Here's Megyn Kelly, along with Emily Janinsky, talking about it on the program. This is unfathomable. I mean, the fact that none of this information has been made public that the FBI has not once come out and said there's also evidence, substantial evidence, by the way, from Crix's posting history of him flipping. to the left and then posting openly pretty violent musings. That is the fact that we have had nothing on that until a source went to Tucker Carlson and then to Miranda and to Brianna with this information according to Tucker Carlson, which was used with what which was gleaned by using private detective tools. So at the minimum of what the FBI would have access to, there are two possible explanations. Neither of them is good. One is that the FBI didn't know. any of this, which I don't buy. In fact, I think it's likely they probably had some of these posts come on their radar before the shooting itself. The second explanation is just that they've been keeping it from the public for some reason. They claim active investigation. That makes pretty much no sense whatsoever. But they have, you know, been... very quiet about what appears to have obviously been known behind the scenes. I mean, I don't buy the first explanation, the first possible explanation that this was not on their radar. And I don't particularly understand. why they would have any good reason for the second explanation, which is that they've just been sitting on this information about potential they, them. Pronoun use, not potential, I mean, pretty obvious, linked to the phone number, linked to the email. It's outrageous, outrageous. And furry culture. Yes, and if I'm the family of Corey Comparator, and I see the back and forth with the quote, Willie Teppist figure that you talked with Glenn about yesterday, someone who is linked to what has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization, a European Antifa group.

I'm absolutely furious because it seems insane that the FBI either missed this or has been keeping it quiet. That is just either way, it is unfathomable and infuriating. So there's a couple different elements to the story, which I think are fascinating. So we look over the last year and a half. Prior to that, the story was institutional adoption and all the diamond hand hodlers that had Bitcoin and were never going to sell it. But what's happened in the last year and a half, maybe two years, is that we've launched all these ETFs. We've launched these futures contracts, too. It kind of created structural vulnerabilities within the crypto space because so many different new participants started to get into the market. Now, consider $100 billion almost. an open interest in futures contract just in Bitcoin. That's a lot of positions that are much, much different than these true believers from the beginning. So that kind of opened the trap doors, particularly on October 29th, when the chairman said that perhaps we're not getting the cut that we think we're getting. Hopefully we'll circle back to that in a bit because I think we are getting the cut. But all of a sudden, boom, then the trap door opens. Now what was the most fascinating is that Bitcoin seemed to drag the NASDAQ with it. That's kind of unusual. Prior to that, the NASDAQ would move and then Bitcoin would. follow. To me, it was a signal to the market of risk off. And you mentioned that 80,000 level. I think that's the key level in Bitcoin. Again, by the way, they said a moderate decline. Bitcoin moves wildly. So if it has a 30% move, if you're a Bitcoin investor, you have to get used to those kind of things. Yeah, or not. If it makes you nervous like it does be, yeah, I'll leave that to somebody else. This paves the way for heightened enforcement against the organization, but also prohibits them from buying land in Texas. The governor accusing the group's leaders of trying to forcibly impose Sharia law in Texas. National Security Hawks once again sounding the alarm when it comes to China. A Chinese business buyer buying up trailer park right next to a highly sensitive U.S. military installation. The fact that this trailer park is so close to a U.S. stealth bomber base isn't an accident. This trailer park can be used certainly for espionage to track the flights of the B2 bombers, but also it can be used for sabotage. China expert and author Gordon Chang says it's time for America to start taking these threats seriously. The Chinese are preparing for war. We Americans think we're at peace. Real estate brokers in Florida are seeing New Yorkers ready to move with the election of new mayor, Zohran Mamdani. But it's not something we're seeing much of yet here in Houston. Greenlight offer real estate's Sean Zavery says the overall market has been slowing down the past quarter or so, but home sales are good. They're selling, but it's just taking a little bit more days on the market, a little bit more outreach, a little bit more proactiveness rather than reactiveness. And now might be a good time to buy a home if you can since it's a buyer's market and many people are thinking of other things this time of year. Mike Shiloh, News Radio 740, KTRH. Another sector of the economy is doing better than expected. Construction spending rose nationwide this summer despite predictions of a decline. The increase was led by residential construction. National Association of Home Builders President Jim Tobin telling Fox that they're getting a boost from government policy. letting builders build, which means lowering permitting fees, speeding up permitting times, opening more land for building. So there's a trend ahead of us. We just need to kind of weather this little bit of uncertainty here in the short term and hopefully we'll take off in the next few quarters. Meanwhile, there are new questions about the reliability of Texas' embattled power grid. Google is building three new data centers here in Texas. Their CEO, Sundar Pachai, says that projects this size need a good regulatory environment, land, and plenty of power. Happily. We have found all three in Texas. The operator of the state's power grid says they've been flooded with requests from companies wanting to build data centers, which brings up concerns about reliability. They find little babies that have been abandoned for whatever reason. They take them into their home. They raise them like a pet and they end up being a pet. And it's getting more and more normal to do that, seemingly. So it got me thinking, you know, cats and dogs are pretty much the normal thing. You might get to get a hamster or a goldfish, although I don't really consider a goldfish a bunch of a pet. There are people who like spiders and snakes and that kind of stuff. Never been, never been into that. I had one neighbor had a pet iguana. And the iguana would come out and sit on your shoulder and, you know. you know, interact a little bit with you, but it never seemed to give you the satisfaction you get from a dog or a cat. With News Radio 740, KTRH. 723 is our time here in Houston's born news. Susan Quinn, writer at the American Thinker joins us. Her piece is entitled, We've Lost the American Dream. But I would ask you this first, Susan, because I know the American Dream is not necessarily the same for everybody, but is there a common? We used to have a pretty common theme on what we thought the American Dream was. Do we still have that common theme? I think that we do. I think that it's been disappearing on us, but I think that the dream has been there for a long time. And that's what I tried to do in my article was identify what some of those aspects of the American dream were and the reasons I thought that we were losing it. Well, I know that at least in my mind, part of the American dream was every generation to do a little bit better than the generation that came before it. And we certainly seem to be going in the opposite direction when it comes to that. That's certainly true. And that's happened for a lot of reasons. I think that our young people who have gone to college were not encouraged to study things that we're going to move them ahead, to give them more opportunity. And so we've got college graduates who have gotten degrees that are not very practical. They've gotten huge student loans, tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars that have put them in serious debt. And they don't know where to go from there. They're living in their parents' basements in order to try to get by. So that very idea of the American dream of being able to purchase a home, for instance. We used to be able to purchase a home when we were in our 20s or 30s. Now people are approaching 40 years old just to be able to consider to buy a home. Well, and kind of ironically, a lot of these young people are starting to reject capitalism and look towards socialism. To me, socialism is the antithesis of the American dream. It certainly is because when you're talking about everybody being equal and having the same things that pretty much discourages people who want to be innovative and creative and to move ahead. Moving ahead is certainly not part of socialism in any way, shape, or form. So I guess the way to save it is to prove that it is still achievable. How do we go about doing that?

Well, I think there are a few things that people can do. First of all, those people that we've already lost, I'm not sure how we can help them. It would take a lot for them to turn things around. But I think especially when we think about the people who are now entering college, I think one of the first things we want to do is say, do you really want to get a college degree? Is that going to be helpful for you? Or should you consider maybe a trade school or a different kind of profession where you can be a journeyman and learn practical skills in order? to be able to move ahead. I think too that we can encourage people to pursue capitalism, to know that it's okay to be innovative, to know that it's okay to make money and to move ahead. I think too that we want to encourage people to marry. What happened to marriage? Nowadays people are discouraged from marrying and having children too. This country is in dire straits when it comes to having children and raising them to be productive. American citizens. And I think that the last thing I would mention is many people were raised in a religion, but they've abandoned it. And they've been discouraged from really pursuing religion, which provides us with meaning and belief. hope and community and so I think that we want to say to them at least consider going back to the religion you were raised in and if not that another one so that you have some basis for finding the American train for having those tenants. The good news on that front is whether you want to thank Charlie Kirk and what happened to him for it or whatever the reason is we do seem to be going back to religion. This came down from a three-judge panel in Texas, and they basically ruled that Republicans cannot use those newly redrawn maps in next year's midterm elections. The U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown, who actually was nominated by President Trump, authored this decision and said that the new maps would harm black and Hispanic voters. The Texas redrawing set off a nationwide redistricting battle with California passing a ballot measure to give Democrats. more seats. So this may actually take some pressure off other states like Indiana that were perhaps next in line to redraw their maps. At Fox's Aishnah Hosni, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has already said he's appealing the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court. Both the House and the Senate passing a measure that tells the Justice Department to release all files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump addressed the crowds saying that Saudi Arabia would be receiving a special designation. while also praising the investments of Mohammed bin Salman. Tonight I'm pleased to announce that we're taking our military cooperation to even greater heights by formally designating Saudi Arabia as a major non-NATO ally. Trump yesterday in the Oval Office said the prince could help bring stability to the Middle East. The meeting comes after Trump announced that he plans to move forward with a weapons deal that would allow the kingdom to purchase F-35 stealth fighter jets from the U.S. A House committee is holding a hearing on members' stock trading. It's called the Taking Stock of the Stock Act. And it comes after the report that Nancy Pelosi made roughly $130 million in stocks during her career. The American public is seeing this and saying this is clearly something smells here. People just are very untrustful of what they're seeing. In fact, 80% think it's wrong. More and more Americans across the country feel like the American dream is dead, but some say the affordability crisis that killed it can be reversed, provided young Americans course correct.

We see graduates burden with incredibly expensive student loans, hundreds of thousands of dollars, and for degrees that in many cases simply aren't practical. American thinker writer Susan Quinn says that a good first step for young Americans would be to look for a better career path like the trades, which could help put home ownership back in reach for them. KTRH News time is 736. Wealth in America is not what it used to be because of inflation, a $100,000 a year salary 10 years ago, but only buy $73,000 in goods this year. That's one reason that we're hearing of people with six-figure paychecks telling pollsters that they're in survival mode. Properties are not selling at the rate that it was selling earlier this year. I would say first and second quarter are very strong. Bank rate analyst Mark Hamrick says now even what used to be the upper middle class appears to be slowly sinking. The Democrats are acting high and mighty after their election win this month, but they need to curb that enthusiasm. They're bragging about wins that don't really move the needle. What we saw are leftist cities, leftist states, select leftist policies and leftist leaders. So really nothing has really changed. Political strategist Vlad Vidiuk says all they did was pick people who favor anti-American policy, all because they're anti-Trump, and they'll just never learn their lesson. They're hoping to repackage some of these failed policies and failed ideas to motivate the base voter of... the left. He says these places will bear the burden of their choices soon. And that was... I really, as a young boy, I desperately wanted a dog, and my parents just weren't into having a dog. So I ended up with a hamster and probably a few other things along the way before I finally became an adult who could have any doggone pet he wanted to have. But all the hamster did was go around in the cage, you know, spinning the wheel. and wasn't really that interested in doing much of anything else. So that didn't turn out to be a great experience. But their question of the day today has to do with wild animals in particular. You know, a lot of people are adopting deer, raccoons, possums, all kinds of wild critters, squirrels, all kinds of wild critters that you find in the wild that you don't normally find domesticated because they're so cute.

and they needed help, so I brought them into the house, and now they're a family pet. We're all scratching our heads on what is likely to be found from these emails that they're going to be releasing all this Jeffrey Epstein information. By all reports, Democrats would like to be more embarrassed than Republicans. Will Keynes wondering the same thing. I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. I threw him out of my club many years ago because I thought he was a sick pervert. But I guess I turned out to be right. But you know who does have Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, who ran Harvard, was with him every single night, every single weekend. They lived together. They went to his island many times I never did. Speaker Mike Johnson says he's worried about protecting victims and whistleblowers, even though we've already heard. Several previously private whistleblowers and victims come out publicly. But in the end that Johnson, he voted yes to send it to the Senate. Anybody who conspired with or aided in any way, Jeffrey Epstein? They must be brought to justice. We want the bill to be amended so it doesn't at the same time violate victim privacy, create new victims, disclose the names of any whistleblower or informant, cause the release of grand jury materials or child sexual abuse materials or undermine our national security. And if and when the Senate takes this up, we will work with our colleagues over there to make sure that these things are corrected. So it passed the House 427 to 1. Now it heads to the Senate. What's next? Here's how it unfolds. The bill needs to pass the Senate and the President's signature to become law. The DOJ would have 30 days to make the files available in a searchable and downloadable format. Information relating to the ongoing investigation, privacy of the victims can all be redacted, and it prohibits redactions based on political embarrassment or reputational harm. The reality? Jeffrey Epstein had a lot of friends, but friends significantly on one side of the aisle. Democrats. Take a look at Epstein's political contributions over time. $139,000 to Democrat candidates in committees, $18,000 to Republican candidates in groups. He also gave millions to top colleges. Harvard received $9.1 million between 1998 and 2008. 200,000 of that remains unspent as of May 1st, 2020. MIT received $850,000 over a 15-year span. Many of those donations made after his 2008 conviction. That pretty much tells you what you need to know, right?
