Missouri Senator Josh Hawley on Fox as Operation Epic Fury continues. The U.S. military is clearing the street of Hormuz of any Iranian mining ships. Sixteen of those mining ships have been destroyed so far. And President Trump says more of these are coming as he will not allow Iran to block the flow of oil. We also saw the U.S. U.S. carry out what Secretary of War Pete Hegseth called the most intense airstrikes of Operation Epic Fury so far. That was Nate Foy in Tel Aviv. Meantime, a cargo ship was evacuated in the straight overnight after being hit by some projectile. Now, the mainstream media claims most Americans don't agree with Operation Epic Fury, but Fox's polling shows more than 8 in 10 Republicans back up President Trump on this. Six in 10 say, He's making America safer. And there's this, the Wall Street Journal, no friend of Trump, just put out an op-ed saying the president can win something greater than a Nobel Peace Prize. You cannot create peace throughout the world. You cannot create prosperity throughout the world without taking out the head of the snake. And because of President Trump's bold leadership, the world is not only going to be safer, but the United States is going to be heck of a lot safer too.

And we saw gas prices across Houston tick up four cents overnight to an average of 308 a gallon, which means that the president needs to juggle the Iran situation with the American economy. President Trump this week signaled the war in Iran could end soon after oil prices surged to a four-year high and the stock market plunged several days in a row. Political analyst Jeff Gruer says the president is feeling some pressure on the economy. They already is a tough situation for Republicans to hold on to Congress. Add to that the dynamic of surging gas prices, no matter how much success they have in Iran, people vote their pocket vote. That's going to determine who wins in November. He predicts the conflict will draw to a close sooner rather than later with... Trump declaring victory and pivoting back to the economy. Corey Olson, News Radio 740, KTRH. And if you believe the numbers, Trump's approval rating on the economy is under 40%. But political analyst, Raven Harrison, says Democrats can't and won't capitalize. What you're seeing is a mass exodus from the Democrat Party, which is while you're seeing the obstruction that are going on. They are standing off against homeland security about getting that funded. Their initial premise was, well, we don't want ICE. ICE is funded. ICE is funded, but TSA workers still aren't getting paid, which is why we saw issues at Hobby this week. Turns out both sides of the aisle are prioritizing ideological alignment over electability in this midterm election season. After 2016 and 2024, voters have become skeptical of candidates their parties push. About what the future looks like is how this runoff unfolds. He says people have already dug in with their preferred candidate, so the party has no real influence to sway him. So what if Ken Paxton defies Trump and stays in the Senate race? if the president endorses John Cornyn. Overnight trading is down across the board this morning after a mixed day on Wall Street yesterday. And the president wants the Fed to cut interest rates. So does one Fed governor.

Inflation's mostly under control, but job creations slowing down, so KTRH Moneyman Pat Schen says the Fed's task now is to be extremely careful. They want to keep the unemployment rate low, but it's a huge problem if they cut interest rates too much. That'll actually fuel inflation, and it will send long-term interest rates higher due to worries of higher inflation while short-term interest rates go lower. Talk about walking a tightrope. Armed criminals are attacking cattle farms to steal cows in any gallstones they can find because of how much money they're worth. Trump said the war will only stop after Iran's unconditional surrender, to which Iran replied, that's a dream America should take to their grave. Okay, that's spooky. And metal is hell. Basically, we are sending people in to lose their lives. Yes. Because we've seen how fighting goes. Do they actually believe we have no memory of the past 10 years? No one should be going to Matt out Stephen Colbert or the view for any kind of foreign policy or even domestic expertise. The view is actually considered a news program by ABC. That's like considering Jimmy Kimmel, a comedy show. But it's a reminder. When you hear these people say things and you feel like it's penetrating you, remind yourself what their stances were on Joe Biden's competence, on Russian collusion, on trans, on crime, on Hunter's laptop, on the border. They were wrong on everything. And this is why, and this is actually, this is not a great thing, but it feels like Trump has no loyal opposition. You know, nobody could take the Democrats seriously and nobody can take the media seriously because they surrendered all their credibility during the Biden years. So you can't, no one is required to take them seriously. So there's like this open road where Trump feels like he can do. What he plans on doing because no one's going to take them seriously. I think I said this to you that there was like there was a there's a new duopoly shaping where the legacy. So here is a Trump White House and this would have been the legacy media. They're gone. Completely God. And what's replacing it is independent media. So these are like the people that I actually trust who I disagree completely with. I disagree with Greenwald, Tim Dillon, Red Scare, Joe Rogan on this topic. But they're not beholden to anybody. They're not covering for anybody. So I take their criticism to heart. The price of the pump has climbed from 298 a gallon nationally before the strikes on Iran began to 357. According to AAA, the average in Texas is 325 a gallon. To try to contain the spike in energy prices, the International Energy Agency is said to be proposing a release of emergency oil reserves. As governments step up efforts to calm energy markets, stock futures are searching for direction this morning.

Ohio Republican Bernie Moreno tells Fox this is... on a small group of Republicans who he says, quote, won't be part of the team, along with Democrats. These are, of course, the same people that told us that illegals don't come into the U.S. Of course, they were lying then, and they're lying now because we've got another example of voter fraud. GOP nominees Steve Toth and Brendan Herrera are both Freedom Caucus aligned. They stand for values that are conservative in American. It is a shift to the right for Texas, which I think is appropriate and in line with Texas values. RNC committee man Dr. Robin Armstrong says the margins are so thin, their arrival will make a difference. They're going to be able to ask for things to serve their district, the state of Texas. They're going to be able to ask for things that are going to better serve the American people as a whole. He added that this shows the Freedom Caucus is gaining ground, which could also give them more leverage in the House. Ethan Buchanan, News Radio 740, KTRH. The Democrat DHS shutdown continues now in day 26. Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune venting after more stonewalling from Democrats. Overtures were made yesterday to the ranking Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee. Countless overtures have been made to the Democrat leadership. And they have basically said, sorry, we don't want to talk. The shutdown led to three hour plus wait times at Hobby Airport for security this week. Operation Epic Fury continues. The UK says a cargo ship was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, which of course is where 20% of the world's oil passes through. Oil prices this morning are up $4.11. to $86 at 89 cents a barrel. So how did we get to this point? Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, says it came down to one thing. Iran's desire for nuclear weapons and President Trump's resolve to stop them. They opened up with telling us that they had the inalienable right to enrich, to which we responded that from President Trump, that we had the inalienable right. to stop them from enriching. Steve Witkoff with KTRH is Sean Hannity. Developments in the Middle East could start influencing American military recruiting. Former Air Force pilot major Brian Maddox says when conflicts break out, recruiting offices normally see a spike in people wanting to serve. All the services are making their recruiting numbers like plus 10%. So I think you're seeing that. really ever since President Trump got elected for his second term. He also says that many service members tend to stay in uniform longer during wartime to support their units. It's now 535, Texas Governor Greg Abbott directing academic and state health systems to investigate possible cyber breaches in medical devices. These are internet-based patient monitors in KPRC, high-tech techs, and Michael Garfield says it's likely data is being harvested, but we shouldn't be surprised. Data is being harvested from everything. We're giving data, we're giving our location, we're giving our consent in many cases. Governor's concern is that data from these medical devices may be going directly to databases in China. A cypressman is in jail accused of threatening a bombing and possible mass shooting. According to investigators, Jeremiah Chavez talked about detonating explosives near his home. He's being held on $250,000 bond.

According to FBI data, gun sales have seen a massive spike lately. Three and a half percent jump in background checks from February 2025 to this past February. That's nationwide. Walking out of the chip aisle. I don't know why I was there because I wasn't buying any chips, but I'm seeing all these bags and say family-sized. I'm going, family-sized? For a family of what? One? How do you get family-sized out of this? I can eat this whole bag in 10 minutes or less. No way that's what they call family size now is just, it's ridiculous. I don't know who they think they're fooling. But they're not fooling me. All right, here's the story about 10 items. Or categories of items at the grocery store that have become so expensive that people are giving them up or have given them up or sales have extremely slowed down. Number one on this list, rabbi in premium steaks. We're not looking for those expensive cuts of steaks right now, at least not at the grocery store. We seem to reserve that for eating out. Also on the list, adult diapers, pads, and the like. Adult, well, I guess we're still buying diapers for little kids, but evidently adult diaper sales are way down. So what people are peeing their pants? Evidently. I mean, paper products in particular are too expensive. Cereal swaps, name brand to budget boxes. We're not buying the Kellogg's anymore. We're not buying even the post. We're buying the store brand because the store brand is cheaper. Seafood has plunged in popularity. The seafood counter.

Fresh fish and salmon and all that stuff that's really good for you. But again, you know, scallops, salmon, tilapia, all very expensive compared to what they used to be. Pre-cut fruits and veggies. Thank you very much. When I see the price difference, I'll cut them myself. Number six on the list. Where is it? Here we go. Specialty coffee creamers. Yep. We're not using specialty coffee creamers like we were. Often infused with unique flavors or organic ingredients. They offer a luxurious start to the day, but significantly add to the cost of your grocery bill. So we're giving that up. Organic snacks are being swapped for store brands. Yeah, organic doesn't seem to matter that much when you see the price difference at the store. Family size of her single serve yogurts. Okay, yeah, maybe. That's an area where I would argue that even in the world of yogurt, family size isn't really for family, but at least it's a bigger portion at a slightly better price. And generic chips are outpacing brand names now. Speaking of chips and family size, frozen meals have been replaced by... Staples, in other words, the pre-cooked or pre-ordered meals, the ones where they put all the meal together for you, those have gotten to the point now where people are just cooking for themselves a little bit again. The administration is trying to balance Iran with negative impacts to the economy, like those higher oil and gas prices we just mentioned. Political analyst Jeff Creweir believes that the president will move to end Operation Epic Fury. as soon as he can. The president knows very well. This thing needs to be concluded. The focus from the Republicans needs to be on the economy. Jitters need to be settled. Gas prices need to be coming down. Otherwise, we're looking at the potential for a real problem for the Republicans in the fall. He warns that regardless of how successful we are in the Middle East, people will vote with their wallets. 604, according to NBC, only 36% of voters approve of Trump on the economy. The mainstream media. thinks that'll hurt Republicans in November. Some think there is still a path forward that preserves the GOP majority in Congress. The key to the midterms is going to be to save act, whether we can get this across the finish line. This is an issue that goes across the line. Political strategist Raven Harrison says economic approval will also likely improve after tax returns come in. These tax cuts that Democrats have been overwhelmingly against have been the spur to getting our economy back. It was what Trump used in the first term. She added that larger tax returns in April will help make those cuts. feel real to people and help them cover higher costs. Ethan Buchanan, News Radio 740, KTRH. Voters are prioritizing ideology over electability this cycle, and it could signal a shift in the GOP. Robert Cahili of the Trafalgar Group says, People are not trusting career politicians, and all you need to do is look at the runoff between John Cornyn and Ken Paxton. There's just nothing they're going to say that's going to convince Ken Paxton voters not to go with him. It's going to be quite a bad one. It's going to say a lot about how the direction of the party is going to go. Meantime, there's still no endorsement in that race, and the clock is ticking. Rice's political analyst Mark Jay Jones says if John Cornyn nabs the nod, Ken Paxton has a tough choice to make. He goes for being. an ally who Trump owes a favor to for dropping out of the race to being an enemy who defied President Trump. He says with or without the Trump endorsement, there's a good chance. The AG will stay in the race. The decision to drop out must be made by the middle of next week. That's Rex Oates reporting. Other political news, Republicans backing the president's planned and birthright citizenship. Texas Senator Ted Cruz. The view espoused by my Democrat colleagues that the 14th Amendment confers citizenship on anyone born on this land. is a relatively recent view. The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on this next month. Meanwhile, some surprising pushback on the plan to have the border wall cut through Big Bend National Park.

A group of five West Texas sheriffs has joined together to oppose the proposed fencing through the national park. Sheriff Thad Cleveland says that he supports the president's immigration plan, but in this case, it's not needed because of the terrain. Mountains that are anywhere from 500 to 2,000 foot tall, that you could traverse it, but it's highly unlikely. He says border security needs to be funded like national security. That means high tech surveillance, drones, and more infrastructure. And he called on lawmakers to make that happen in Texas. The Rockets beat Toronto, 1139. It's a waste that much because there already were red, round bridge ornaments around the Southwest Freeway. And now they've been painted to look like soccer balls. So the balls were already there. They just didn't look like soccer balls. They were due for painting anyway. So they're painting them for World Cup. Now, the question would be, how long are they going to be soccer balls? How many years after World Cup will be staring at soccer balls on the Southwest Freeway? And do we care about that? Because after all, we're more of a baseball town than the soccer town when you get right down to it. You also may notice that TextDOT has also gotten a little bit more aggressive with their maintenance schedule. They're mowing more often, at least on the freeways to go back and forth between the airport and hotels and the venues where the World Cup is going to be appearing at. It's kind of like the same approach, I guess. that San Francisco did before the president of China showed up, and they started rounding up the homeless people and cleaning up the streets and making everything look good, and then everything went to crap again as soon as the Chinese president left town. I guess the question is, are we sprucing up to look good for World Cup just for the World Cup people? Or are we going to keep maybe doing this and keeping Harris County looking nicer than it's ever looked? Oh, they're planting trees too. That's not cheap. So you've got trees. News Radio 740, KTRH. Yeah, there's a new crowd of young conservatives in the Republican Party here in Texas. Think Steve Tooth, for example, you know, upsetting Dan Crenshaw. Think about Ken Paxton potentially replacing John Cornyn. Although that remains to be seen if that's going to happen. But you can see there's a clear choice here, or maybe a more clear choice, between the old guard. and the MAGA Republicans, and the MAGA Republicans seem to be taking over. Dr. Robin Armstrong, R&C. Committeeman joins us. Do you agree with that statement, by the way, Dr. Armstrong, or the young bucks taken over? Yeah, I think that's happening. I think more conservative. I think the people, Republicans in general, are pretty fed up with the old guard who is just there in Washington, D.C. to get along with everyone else. And so right now what is needed is we need folks who are going to fight for conservative values, fiscal conservatism. We need a budget. Congress needs to make a budget. You know, they haven't done that in a really long time. And so I think that folks like these conservative caucus folks, freedom caucus folks, they're going to start pushing that agenda, the MAGA agenda, the conservative agenda. spending agenda, you know, less spending. And I think it's going to be, it's pretty exciting, actually. It's exciting to see what's happening right now. I think it's a good thing in Texas. I think it's going to happen all over the nation as well. So it's exciting. You know, I guess I've been on this planet long enough and maybe you have to that I almost chuckle a little bit when we describe, you know, the things that you're describing that the, the bank of movement stands for as being this new conservative movement.

This just harkens back to my childhood. It sounds more like the world that I grew up in. Maybe just in general we're trying to get back to that world that many of us grew up in. Absolutely. I have a 501C4. I just started called Restoring American Values and it says that very thing. That's what we're getting back. We're restoring the values that America has always stood on, that Texas has always stood on as well. And so I think it's important that we get back to those values. Those are the values that built this nation, rugged individualism, freedom, liberty, less spending. I mean, all these things, social conservatism. I think that these are the things that built this country. And we have to get back to those if we're going to maintain this country and build it and make it stronger for generations to come. And so it's exciting to see what's happening. I think, you know, Steve Witkoff, the Steve Toots of the world, the John Box of the world, all these guys that are winning, Brandon Herrera down in Congressional District 23. These folks were going to be joining that freedom caucus. I think they're going to be on the front lines of this conservative movement. I think it's exciting. Do you also find that maybe the reason why we look so conservative is because the rest of the political world has gotten so progressive? Well, absolutely. I think it's a response to that. And what we're seeing is we're seeing young men, you know, 18 to 25, actually become more and more conservative. And so that's exciting to see. And I think it's a response. to the craziness that the Democrats have been pushing. You know, this trans stuff is not, it's not normal. And I think most people realize it's not normal. I think most young people realize it's not normal. And so I believe what's happening now in large part is a reaction to the craziness of the left. They have gone absolutely insane. And so I think when it comes to Republicans and insanity, we're going to go with Republicans every time. And conservatism, because you're going to need a strong conservative push to push back on that because it's, it's. You know, the media is pushing it. The entertainment industry is pushing it. The sports industry is pushing it. So we're going to have strong conservatives. We're going to have to have backbone stand against the liberalism that is pushing in our society. What do you think the key is to keep you that momentum? I think the Save America Act is the key to this. If we can't get that passed and get a handle on what needs to happen at the ballot box, then it's going to be very, very difficult to overcome. Absolutely. It wasn't out a masterful stroke by Ken Paxton and saying, look, if you pass the Save America Act, I'll drop out of the race. It certainly puts them front and center. And we'll see how John Cornyn and John Thune stand up. We'll see if they do this. But I think you're absolutely right. We have to have integrity in our elections or we will lose. And the Democrats, we want to make it easier to vote, but harder to cheat. And the Democrats are just the opposite. They want to make it easier to cheat. And so we have to stand against that. I think the State of America Act is important, breaking the filibuster to do it if you have to, because I think it's necessary to get that done. I agree. All right, sir. Thank you, as always. At 632, our top story, the left always wants to say that voter fraud doesn't exist, and that's why they're so opposed to the Save America Act that requires photo ID. But we just had another massive case of voter fraud in Pennsylvania. It's kind of incredible because right now the Democrats are fighting with everything they've got, tooth and nail. And they say this is not happening. Illegals don't vote. What are you talking about? Are you crazy? But then we read this story. That's Bob Hogue at Red State, and that story is about an illegal alien who voted in five presidential elections. Keep in mind he was deported back in 2000, but he's still here and still on the voter roll. The Saved Act is still stuck in the Senate, and Ohio Republican Senator Bernie Moreno says...

It's not just Democrats' fault. There's three or four Republicans that just won't be part of the team. And they row in their own different direction. And unfortunately, John Thune has very little leverage over them. Moreno on Fox. Meantime, the logjam continues in the Senate over the DHS shutdown, which is now in date 26. Democrats still holding out for changes at ICE, floating a plan to fund everything at DHS except ICE and the Border Patrol and pay TSA. Chad Pergram on Capitol Hill, but help could be coming next year. The Freedom Caucus in the U.S. House is said to gain at least two more members from Texas and Steve Toth and Brandon Herrera. That gives conservatives leverage. At the very least, what it does is it causes those members who have been antagonistic towards it to at least say, hey, maybe we need to start paying attention. R&C committee man, Dr. Robin Armstrong, 633. Now Operation Epic Fury continues all eyes on the Strait of Hormuz this morning. The United States military says it eliminated 16 mine-laying vessels in the narrow waterway between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. Two, commercial ships are also on fire in the Gulf. They were hit by unknown projectiles. One, a cargo ship is being evacuated. Meanwhile, incoming Iranian fire has again been intercepted in several Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. That is Fox's Jonathan Savage. Oil prices at $85.63 a barrel right now. The fighting in the Middle East could affect military recruiting here in the U.S. Former Air Force pilot major Brian Maddox says global conflicts usually trigger a short-term surge of interest from people thinking about joining the military. My concern would be, you know, do we get ourselves into another, you know, or Iraq or Afghanistan, you know, troops on the ground get bogged down, things like that. He adds that retention inside the military also increases as service members stay with their units during wartime. 635 Texas Governor Greg Abbott says he's concerned about the data being gathered by some medical devices used to monitor hospital patients. The governor has ordered an investigation into how and why they may be taking patients' personal data and identification and sending it back to where the devices are made. China. KPRC's high-tech Texan Michael Garfield says the governor is right. To make sure that they are in compliance and keeping our data safe. But this isn't unusual, he says. Darius Dwayne Hall is being held without bond. Between that crime, the terror attacks in Austin and New York, it's no surprise that there's been an increase in gun sales. Or Americans feeling the need to protect themselves. Lester was tough here on the gun knows nothing. So sales were off. It feels like it's starting to come. come back. I think it's definitely that people are thinking it's better to have it and not need it to need it and not have it. Why it happened. The information you need to start the day. Now, back to Houston's morning news. All right, here's the story on the Fox 26 website. It's lacking details that I would really like to know. So I'll go ahead and ask some questions as I go through this information. Jeremy Chavez. 20 years of age, charged with unlawful possession of components of explosives. All right, question number one. What were those components exactly? What kind of a bomb was he trying to make? Was he going to do like a fertilizer bomb? a la Oklahoma City? Was he putting a gasoline together with... I don't know. I don't know anything about building bombs. I guess you can find out plenty of information online to build a bomb, right? So I don't know. First of all, I don't know what kind of a bomb he was building. But he had components of explosives. He allegedly threatened to bomb Highway 290. Why did you want to bomb 290? Was it because you were trying to do something to get everybody's attention? Has 290 done something to you? Is it part of your normal commute and you're just frustrated with it? What's the deal? Oh, he also had lots of ammunition, evidently.

So he also was thinking about doing a mass shooting. So we have a combination here, mass shooting potential and bomb making components with a threat to bomb 290. 20 years of age. Deputies called to his home in Cyprus Monday to respond to the bomb threat in which the caller allegedly said he planned to detonate explosive devices and conduct a mass shooting. Oh, he turned himself in. Did he turn himself in or is that somebody else at the home? Not sure. Can't tell by the story. He was detained at his home. The constable's office as a search of the home revealed several rounds of ammunition and AR-style rifle and bomb-making components. So whoever the caller was was probably correct in their assessment. I understand we got really used to cheap gas under President Trump. We love cheap gas. Nobody loves it more than me. But you go over $3 a gallon and all of a sudden people like they have to make a big lifestyle change. We were paying big money for gasoline plenty of times during the Biden administration. And we'll be paying cheaper prices for gas soon enough. But here's the thing. Democrats, of course, are trying to make a little hate from this, making the suggestion that perhaps we should suspend the federal gas tax for a little bit in order to help people out. Here's economist Steve Moore and Liz Peek. who are not impressed by this effort. Well, I don't like taxes either. The gas tax is a pretty good user fee for the use of the road, so I don't have a big problem with it. But I do think now, given that the price of gasoline may go up as much as a dollar or a gallon, given the current situation.

with the Middle East disruptions and supplies, I would be in favor of a temporary maybe four-week reduction in the gas tax. There are other things, by the way, that could be done. We could change some of the refinery rules, get rid of the ethanol mandate just for four weeks or so. You could take a bunch of steps that could lower the price of the gas at the pump by about 50 cents a gallon, and that would help stress out consumers. But it is ironic, Dagan, you're exactly right. Democrats hate cars. They don't want people driving cars. So they should like high gas prices. Well, the gas tax doesn't even pay for the roads and the road repair. The taxpayers who maybe don't even drive actually pay for it out of the general revenue, number one. Number two, this is the time you don't want to do it. Because when there is a... supply issue, you want higher prices to curb demand. You don't want to juice demand by artificially lowering the prices. I digress. But speaking of the left wing nuts, Liz, let's go to the view. We have reserves for this. We have reserves. Where are they? Oil reservoir. Yeah, for gas. When gas gets too much, they bust out the reserves and it brings the price down. So where are the reserves? Where is that? Where is anything that he said other than a lot of misery, a lot of pain for people, his people in particular? Well, a couple of things. First of all, the strategic petroleum reserve is not gasoline, it's crude oil. And certainly we do have 400, 450 million barrels of oil there. And my guess is if things get really difficult, we'll see some of that taken out. It would be 800 million barrels, except that Joe Biden had a little polling emergency as we approach the midterms. And so he depleted it really in an unconscionable political gesture. But I want to go back to the gas tax. Because it's so hypocritical. California has a 66 cent gas tax, state tax on gasoline. Illinois, 66 cents. New Jersey, it's 40 cents. So I think they took the two senators whose gas taxes weren't just completely through the roof and focused on the 18 cent federal. What about the state taxes, you guys? If you want to do something, do it in your own states because that would definitely help bring prices down. Great points all the way around on that one. The Wall Street Journal, no friend to Donald Trump, raised some eyebrows. They just put out a positive op-ed, saying Trump can win something greater than a Nobel Peace Prize. You cannot create peace throughout the world. You cannot create prosperity throughout the world without taking out the head of the snake. And because of President Trump's bold leadership, the world is not only going to be safer, but the United States is going to be heck of a lot safer, too. That's Newsmax contributor Mark Vargas. 703 operations in the Middle East are impacting oil prices. They're up more than $3 to $86 to $46 a barrel this morning. Gasoline prices across Houston ticked up to 308 a gallon. That's up $4. from yesterday. And all this means that the president who will hit the road today in Ohio needs to juggle the Iran situation with the economy at home. President Trump this week signaled the war in Iran could end soon after oil prices surged to a four-year high and the stock market plunged several days in a row. Political analyst Jeff Creweir says the president is feeling some pressure on the economy. They already is a tough situation for Republicans to hold on to Congress. Add to that the dynamic of surging gas prices, no matter how much success they have in Iran, people vote their pocket vote. That's going to determine who wins in November. He predicts the conflict will draw to a close sooner rather than later with... Trump declaring victory and pivoting back to the economy. Corey Olson, News Radio 740, KTRH. And we'll hit the February inflation numbers at 730. Trump's approval rating on the economy is about 40% right now, but political analyst Raven Harrison says Democrats can't capitalize. What you're seeing is a mass exodus from the Democrat Party, which is while you're seeing the obstruction that are going on. They are standing off against Homeland Security about getting that funded. Their initial premise was, well, we don't want ICE. ICE is funded. Yeah, funded through 2020. thanks to the big beautiful bill. At 704, it turns out both sides of the aisle are prioritizing ideological alignment over electability this midterm election season. After 2016 and 2024, voters have become skeptical of candidates their parties push. That was the message among Republicans that you need to vote for somebody else because Trump can't win the general election. And guess what? They were wrong. They want to keep the unemployment rate low, but it's a huge problem if they cut interest rates too much. That'll actually fuel inflation, and it will send long-term interest rates higher due to worries of higher inflation while short-term interest rates go lower. Talk about walking a tightrope. Their report was completely non-factual, erroneous, you know, making it look like, you know, that somehow it was the conservative protesters were what the problem was, not these two guys that were like trying to, trying to throw a bomb. Here's Dagan McDowellon Fox Business reading the CNNX post and we get reaction to it on the other end. From the guy who's the president and CEO of the Babylon B. They do parody for a living. Even he was laughing at what CNN was trying to do. Two Pennsylvania teenagers crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could have been a normal day enjoying the city during that normally warm weather. But... In less than an hour, their lives would drastically change as the pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs during an anti-Muslim protest outside of Mayor Zohran Mamdani's home. The backlash to this post was intense and immediate, with CNN apologizing for the post, saying it, quote,

failed to reflect the gravity of the incident, thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting. Well, first of all, I love that dramatic reading of the post that made it even funnier than it already was. But it's one of those examples where you run across something real and you have to double check. Like, did this come from an actual news organization or is this satire? Because you read that and it does sound like something that we might write, making fun of a news organization that is unable to report the truth, unwilling to report the truth. So, you know, it's kind of funny on its face at first when you glance at it. And then you realize, wait, this came from CNN. And I think it's funny how, you know, CNN is like, extremely similar to us in the sense that they publish funny fake news, but the difference is we actually admit that we're joking. You know, like we are trying to joke. They're actually trying to be serious with it. So that's the main distinction. Plus, our stories come true sometimes, which I guess is another distinction. Like I said, I'm so scratching my head that the Wall Street Journal editorial board allowed a story like this to appear in the Wall Street Journal. phrasing Trump as having the ability to win something greater than Nobel Peace Prize, and that is just creating peace all around the globe, changing the world in a way that will ultimately bring peace. Mark Vargas joins us, Office of the Secretary of War between 2007 and 2020, also a Newsmax columnist. I don't know if you've read the piece in the Wall Street Journal, Mark, but I want to get your thoughts on it. What do you think?

Yeah, it's an unbelievable peace. And President Trump, during his inaugural speech, second term, talked about that he wanted his legacy to be peacemaker. And this is exactly what he's doing. You cannot create peace throughout the world. You cannot create peace in the United States without taking out the head of the snake. And President Trump had the testicular virility to do what no other president. has done, but should have done. And that was to take out the Iranian regime. I don't think people understand the gravity of this and what Iran has done over the last 40 years as a state sponsor of terrorism. I mean, they've backed and funded over 1,000 terror attacks since 2006. Killing just one U.S. service member is an act of war, according to the U.S. and international law. Iran has killed over 600 U.S. service members and maimed thousands more. The Bhutis and Hamas and Hezbollah does not exist without Iran because Iran funds that. These are groups and organizations that use women and children as human shields. They launch rockets and mortars from the tops of hospitals and schools. daring you to fire back and kill innocent children and innocent patients. You know, Iran murdered 40,000 of its own citizens for simply protesting their regime over the last couple of months. So this is what President Trump's doing. And this means more than any Nobel Peace Prize because he is literally going to have billions of people who are going to be living a safer, more prosperous life. because of the actions of Donald Trump to root out evil and root out terrorism in our world. I think in the modern world up until now, maybe Ronald Reagan was considered the peace through strength president. Is this become, if Trump become the new peace through strength president? Absolutely. I mean, both Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan can win wars without firing a single shot. And what I find fascinating and interesting about President Trump's strategy, if you look at all of his peace agreements, there's really that he's, I think he did what, eight in the first, you know, nine, ten months of his term here. Every peace agreement has an economic development job creation element, direct investment, boosting their economy. That's a lesson that I learned. in Baghdad when I was there from 07 to 10 as a part of the Secretary of Wars Iraq Task Force. How do you convert a war front into a storefront? Terrorist cells and proxies thrive on environments with high unemployment. They also thrive in environments with a high teenager population because they're easier to manipulate. And so if people are working, if people have purpose, you can convert any area, any community, any country. If you can convert them into a prosperous place where people are working and have a purpose, it is the worst case scenario for any terrorist regime throughout the world. And that just doesn't apply in.

and countries like Iran and Iraq. It also can apply to communities within major cities where you have high unemployment. There's a direct correlation. High unemployment, high violence. You drive down the unemployment, you also simultaneously drive down levels of violence. It's a fact. I saw it play out in real time when I was in Iraq. Well, then what you're talking about is what the president wants to do with the Gaza Strip and maybe now that Iran is going to be out of the picture, that becomes a possibility. That's right. And he's going to be eliminating Hamas. I mean, we've hit 5,000 targets in 10 days. We've knocked out 50 of their Navy vessels. Israel alone has hit over 2,000 targets. You think about that, 7,000 targets. These are all strategic. We're not launching million-dollar missiles to hit a $20 tent. We're hitting strategic sites. We're taking out these proxies. We've taken their, we've eliminated their funding source. And, you know, we've decimated Iran's leadership. This needed to be done a long time ago. Again, hundreds and hundreds of Americans have died and thousands more have been injured because of Iran's actions targeting service members, civilians, and contractors. More bad boys and girls at the United States Postal Service. This time in Sugarland, we got somebody stealing checks. Yes, they have arrested somebody for stealing checks. Technically still employed by the U.S. Post Office, by the way, as the investigation continues, here's a report from our television partner, KPRC 2. This is the intersection where that postal employee got arrested while leaving work last night, according to a law enforcement source, who tonight tells me he was driving in his personal vehicle, and inside, police found hundreds of pieces of stolen mail. This Sugarland Post Office on Grants Lake Boulevard is where the headache started for Eric Hanson. Two days later, I opened up my bank account. Empty. Not only empty, he says, but negative after he dropped off two checks to mail off and pay the bills. One was $67, other than was like $130. And next thing you knew, it was more. I'm $7,000 in the hole. That was in October. He shared these images of the checks. He says the payee altered and the amounts drastically increased when they hit his account. He reported it to Sugarland Police and the United States Postal Inspection Service. And Tuesday, five months later, he got a call from investigators that a postal employee had... been arrested in connection with his case. You feel so stupid when you're victimized like that. Like I should have known better. Then you get angry. Here you have a government, I do with government police stolen. Sugarland PD confirms officers arrested 32-year-old Jaland Mouton Monday night, just a couple blocks from the post office on Matledge, where a law enforcement source tells KPRC2 news, he worked. The source adding, Mouton had hundreds of pieces of stolen mail in his personal car when stopped leaving the office and law enforcement is investigating whether it's... targeted envelopes that appeared to contain checks. The USPS confirming this individual is employed with the Postal Service and is currently in a non-duty status. It's a terrible feeling. We've got no money. Hansen says his bank eventually returned the money to his account, but now he's cautious and warns others about doing any postal business. Well, don't write any checks, and I certainly would not mail them. I learned my lesson. Well, there you go. The number one argument right there for anybody who still writes checks to do electronic banking. So you don't have something like this happened to you. And again, the frustrating part, this is like the guy working for the city of Houston, you know, stealing power tools and selling them online to line his own pockets. You know, after purchasing them on a city credit card. He hasn't been fired technically. He's just, you know, off duty or whatever the term is they use for that. Same thing with the postal worker. Five, five months. You know, it took five months to first of all figure out who it was and he's not fired, at least not yet. Just every time the story quiets down a little bit, something new comes out. The latest one being, of course, that... One of the prison guards, who, by the way, falsified records, that's how she had ultimately lost her job, falsified records about checking on Epstein. She was one of two MCC workers accused of falsifying records. By the way, Representative James Comer would really, not that he's heard about this, he'd really like to speak to her. He'd like her to appear before his committee. Can you imagine? You're just an average prison guard citizen who may or may not have taken some money to do or maybe ignore doing something. Who knows? And now they want Congress wants to hear from you? Here's Representative James Comer last night saying that he wants her to come in and testify. Well, the recent media reports, which you just said, is very concerning, especially the suspicious activity report on a $5,000 mysterious deposit that she had. And the reason that stands out to me, Jesse, is because very seldom our suspicious activity reports even reported for sums less than $10,000. So that's a mystery there, and that's something that, according to the... DOJ documents they never looked into, never asked her about. So because of this, because of the media reports, and because of the fact that honestly most people on the committee aren't confident, 100% that...

Epstein's death was by suicide. We're going to ask Ms. Noel to come in for a transcribed interview. Again, no one's accusing her of any wrongdoing, but we have a lot of questions about Epstein, questions about who else was involved in abusing girls. Why did the government not do a better job of investigating and prosecuting Epstein when they had a chance years before they finally convicted him? Was Epstein a spy? Was our government involved? in any way, shape, or form in trying to destroy evidence or hide evidence from any of those four properties. And now was Epstein's death a suicide as the government has reported, or was there some other mysterious factor involved in his death?
