What kind of a bill would fit the beautiful scheme here for, especially the Speaker of the House, who called the Senate bill a crap sandwich, basically? And the House Republicans, at least the conservative ones, didn't want to have anything to do with that. So I guess this is the do over here. This is how we're going to get this all done. I think that the John Thune pretty much said. that it's the only thing left to them. They can't get it done any other way. Vlad Davidiq joins this political strategist. It's been interesting to watch Republicans come together on this because for a while there, the House didn't have any interest in doing a reconciliation bill. They wanted to do it their way. Yeah, no, I mean, anytime you're able to position yourself as the opposite side of Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, that's a really strong motivation to get something done because that's like 99% a winner. And so Republicans in the House have a really great opportunity to take the lead of the Senate and end the ongoing Chuck Schumer shutdown, which has been holding Americans hostage for God knows how long, but it needs to move forward. Well, yeah, it's been interesting to watch, you know, TSA officials comment about how life has been for them, especially after the second shutdown. You can't pay people $40,000 a year for a job and not expect them to quit or to take another job. There's just no way you can wait that out. No, when you're holding an American worker hostage, when you're holding American citizens hostage to this kind of an agenda, there's only, there's a limited amount of time that they'll be patient with it. And by and large, the people working at TSA. are there because they want to be able to make a living and provide for their families. They're not doing this out of a sense of dedication to a particular agenda. There are pawns in the game that Democrats are playing. And so, you know, Democrats are using the shutdown and the obstruction and the opposition as political leverage and American workers are paying the price. TSA workers are paying the price, people going to the airport, paying the price. People who are off to go visit family, maybe even go visit a relative who's in their final.
moments are missing flights because Democrats are using this as a weapon and trying to push their agenda and entirely based on their Trump derangement syndrome, which is forced them. into this position to be able to not only inflict the pain on Americans, but paint themselves into a corner. And so Republicans have a chance to make them pay for it. Well, in doing it this way helps out the Senate because otherwise you'd have to get 60 votes in the Senate. This would be a simple majority, which I think they think they can deliver on. The question is, can the House also deliver with some of the infighting they have going on between the more conservative and the more moderate factions in the House? Are they going to be able to deliver on a reconciliation bill for these things? I think the calendar right now is the real impetus, because the closer we get to people really starting to focus on the November general election and deciding which party they're going to vote for and which party is going to maintain control of the house, the more incentive and more urgency is present. So I think right now Republicans are starting to feel. that pressure and speaker johnson has an excellent opportunity to line up his votes and get get this uh legislation across the line we can end the shutdown restore order and economic confidence across america free americans from the pain and suffering imposed by democrats uh get this legislation passed and then move on to election integrity can they concoct a bill in your estimation here vlad can they can they come up with a bill that will be shut down proof
Yes, because what winds up happening is not necessarily a shutdown proof in terms of the logistics. It's shutdown proofs in terms of, in terms of the punishment that's going to be needed out. No one in Congress wants to be accused of shutting the government down right before general election. So once this is, once this passes. Basically, all threats are being removed until after the election. After the election, that's a whole new, whole new animal. But between now and then, if they can find a way to cut a deal, I think everybody will be very happy to be able to move on from this crazy move imposed by Democrats on the nation. All right, sir, thanks as always. Appreciate it. Vladimir Putin, political strategist. Happy birthday, America!
