Our top story, we've got some minor power outages as a result of the storms this morning, and we will have the results from last night's primaries coming up. But first... John Cornyn fought Donald Trump's election in 2016. He said he was an albatross around our neck. And in 2024, he said his day has passed. State Attorney General Ken Paxton on Fox after the president endorsed him in the Senate runoff against John Cornyn, who also reacted. I believe that in terms of our success in November, that Ken Paxton would be an albatross.

Today is day three of early voting. The period runs through Friday. So far in Harris County alone, Republicans are outnumbering Democrat voters by about 10,000 polls open at 7. Also in Texas, a rift in the Republican congressional runoff. in the San Antonio area. That's where the president is backing Carlos Dela Cruz, while Governor Greg Abbott is supporting state rep John Lujan. Now, Lujan has been criticized for getting support from some Democrats, political consultant Luke Macias. John Lujan represents a district that strong Democrat voters and operatives have seen in him somebody who they think will represent their district better than the leftist Democrats who are running. So it's taken a lot of work to turn these people. And now that's being used against them in this runoff election. Meantime, same district, but on the Democrat side, we'll introduce you to the radical Maureen Galindo at 530. And you're not going to believe some of the things that she's been saying. It's now 503. It was a David versus Goliath. I was the underdog. I want to thank the president. I want to thank the conservative Republicans from this district and my supporters and team, because it sends a message that we, the people, are going to stand up. Ed Gull Ryan on Foxes, he beats anti-Trump incumbent Congressman Thomas Massie last night in Kentucky. Andy Barr also backed by Trump wins the Republican. public and Senate nomination to replace the retiring Mitch McConnell. Reaction to Gold Ryan's big win from Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Stakes are too high. We're not screwing around. This is not a game. If you want to just criticize everything. Go write it op-ed online. Go write a blog online. Cruise with KTRH is Sean Hannity. The Trump endorsement comes in handy in several other races. In Georgia, Republican Burr Jay Jones advances to a runoff while anti-Trump or Brad Raffensperger fails to advance. And the Trump backed Tommy Tuberville cruises to victory in the governor's primary in Alabama. It's now 504. The president says he's giving Iran until this weekend to make a deal or strikes fire back up. The Trump administration is letting talks with Iran play out, even as the vice president says, it's not always clear what the regime's negotiating position is. Maybe the Iranians aren't themselves quite clear in what direction they want to go to. They also are just a fractured country. It comes after the president took his finger off the trigger Monday at the behest of Gulf allies. That is Fox's Aisha Hosni. Meantime, Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, losing his primary last week, is now letting his true color show, helping Dems advance a war powers resolution. However, it might not get much further.

Right now, the war power act has been rejected by every president and it's never been ruled whether it's unconstitutional. So this will be a very interesting time if someone sues and takes before the Supreme Court and see if it's actually constitutional. Former Texas Congressman Steve Stockman says that Democrat presidents have bombed countries for years without Democrats in Congress ever calling them out. Looking at the markets this morning, oil futures are at $102.42 and 42 cents a barrel. Overnight trading is up across the board. On another foreign policy front, the president says he doesn't want to insult China by denying half a million student visas. It's a perplexing stance to take, considering how the Chinese operate. Chinese consular officials and Chinese Ministry of State Security agents monitor, coerced, and surveil Chinese students and often get them to commit acts of espionage. China expert Gordon Chang says we don't have enough resources to track these students' activities, and it's baffling because it's not like Trump's agenda. Americans, and especially his MAGA base, don't like this. This is not America first by any means. He says these spots, especially. in the STEM fields need to be going to American students. Andre Parrard News Radio 740, KTRH. 506, closer to home, the Astrodome has sat unused for over 20 years, and Democrat Harris County Judge candidate, Denise Parker now suggests it could be turned into a casino, something that would cost over a billion dollars. If a casino owner wanted to put a casino in Astrodome, they would have already been suggesting it and they'd be on top of it. You wouldn't have to have the government suggested. There'd be people lining up to do that, but nobody is. Former city councilman Greg Travis says even if state law was changed to allow for this, most developers would likely opt to build a cheaper brand new casino hotel. in a nicer part of town. I used to be really annoyed by people who turned on their flashers just because it's raining. But at the end of the day, when it's raining hard and it's hard to see,

and you've got somebody in particular who is not comfortable. This is the way I look at flashers now, running your flashers, is that these are people who don't feel comfortable in the situation. For whatever reason, it may be a situation. You feel comfortable in or I feel comfortable in, but they don't. So I appreciate the warning. The warning is to say, listen, I'm not comfortable out here. I'm driving slow, okay? And I want you to know I'm driving slow. And I want you to know I'm not trying to hog the road, but I'm trying to stay in the middle of the road away from the area where the water is draining to so I can avoid hydroplaining. So I had to have a second, I'd have a second surgery just to get. any voice at all. They want to make a deal so badly. They're tired of this. This should have happened for 47 years. Somebody should have done something about it. President Trump last night on Iran putting more pressure on Tehran to make a deal telling reporters he was an hour away from relaunching strikes. As for what the crisis is doing to oil, Trump says that is only temporary and normalcy will return. It's going to happen, and it's going to happen fast, and you're going to see oil prices plummet. They're going to come down. There's so much oil out there. They're going to come plummeting down. Futures are down this morning to $102 in 22 cents a barrel. But as oil becomes more expensive, many nations are looking at coal as an energy substitute. And even the United States is looking at it because we're what some call the Saudi Arabia of coal. And in times of war, it's an efficient substitute for oil in some cases. We've walked away from coal because of climate concerns. And this began way back in Obama administration. But guess what? China burns more coal than the rest of the world.

Fireworks on Capitol Hill as acting Attorney General Todd Blanche was attacked for establishing an anti-weaponization fund for people alleging they were victims of the federal government's lawfare under Joe Biden. Will individuals who assaulted Capitol Hill police officers be eligible for this fund? Well, as it makes plain, just let me know if they're eligible for the fund. As was made plain yesterday, anybody in this country is eligible to apply. That was Todd Blanche setting Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen straight. Closer to home, President Trump goes all in, endorsing Ken Paxton in the Senate runoff against John Cornyn. Regardless of who wins, Governor Greg Abbott says Republicans must unite behind the nominee to defeat James Talarico. The crazy things that James Talarico has said. Just based upon the things he said alone disqualifies him for money for office. Early voting continues today as polls reopen at 7. Meantime, a San Antonio-area Democrat congressional runoff is getting national attention now because of one candidate. and her extreme views. Marine Galindo, a sex therapist turned politician, is accused of being an anti-Semite. Opponents point to her social media feed, which is full of videos accusing the Jewish people of secretly controlling the media and government. She accused her opponent, who worked for the sheriff's office, of putting Jews and Mexicans in concentration camps. And he's paid by Israel. The comments are so extreme that even far left, Senate candidate James Talarico says, if she wins, he will not campaign with her. And the Jewish Federation of San Antonio condemned what they called the spread of anti-Semitic conspiracy theory. KTRH is Michael Bored there. Now, six states held primaries yesterday. The biggest race was in Kentucky, and it goes to the Trump-backed Ed Galang, who defeats Thomas Massie. Thomas Massie, of course, opposing Trump on several fronts. Trump endorsed candidates also won in Georgia and Alabama. It's now 535. Trump RX is now offering about 600 generic drugs, adding them to their website. It's good news for everyone except the left. Shockingly, this major move has received very little coverage from the mainstream media. It certainly would be the belief story if it were a Democrat administration, but they don't want President Trump to have any positive headlines at all. They're going to just sweeping under the rug. Dr. Robin Armstrong, an RNC committee man, says this could be the GOP's chance to claim the health care issue. There should be a huge effort to do this. So as an RNC member, I'll work hard to make sure that we're pushing that because it's a really big deal for a lot of people. He went on to say this is a prime example of how Democrats talk about issues. But Republicans take action. Ethan Buchanan, News Radio 740, KTRH. Higher gasoline prices may be changing some Memorial Day travel plans. Patrick Dahon with gas, but he says fewer people are expected to hit the road compared to earlier forecast. That said, AAA Texas still expects millions of us.

The establishment Republicans let them down. So as a result of that, I think he thought, okay, you can't get the job done. I'm going to bring in somebody who can. And he came out with his Ken Paxton endorsement. Here is the vice president, JD Vance, getting asked about this, weighing in on the Ken Paxton endorsement. Today we saw the president endorse Ken Paxton over John Cornyn in the Texas Senate race. Do you think that sends a message going forward for the next cycle to senators, you know, considering running for reelection or any mega-aligned potential candidates that are considering challenging them? Well, I'd say a couple things, Nick. First of all, the president's very gratified by the response that he's heard from the base and from a lot of voters. I think we're passionate about Ken Paxton. We think Ken Paxton is going to be a great senator for the people of Texas, but most importantly, a great United States senator who can work on solving the problems that all of us confront as a country together. I've known John Cornyn for a long time. But unfortunately, you know, when it really counted, Ken Paxton was there for the country, was there for the president. And that's why he ultimately earned the president's endorsement. He thinks he's going to be a better senator, thinks he's going to make a better candidate. And so I do think it sends a message, but really not just the endorsement, but one of the things the president has done very effectively, going back 10 years in his leadership of the Republican Party and the country, as president of the United States, as he said, you know, I want people who fight for the good. I want people who can't be bought by corporate lobbyists, who can't be bought by Wall Street, who can't be bought by special interests, who are going to go to Washington and fight for the people who actually elected them to those positions. And I think one of the things we've seen in the Republican Party, while I can't say that all of our representatives are perfect or all of our senators are perfect, we have seen a much... better crop of talent come into Washington since Donald Trump has been the leader of the party and the leader of the movement. I do think we're going to continue to see that happening. But I think the message that people should take from this is fundamentally, you have got to serve the people who sent you. And if you don't do that, you're going to find yourself out of step with voters or out of step with the president of the United States. And that's not a good place to be politically. Yep, not a good place for John Cornyn, that's for sure.

It's an amazing development for conservatives. Well, and last night, you had Thomas Massie, who was primaried out, the Trump candidate beat him.

Yeah, you just don't oppose President Trump on matters of policy. And the United States Senate has still refused to move the Save America Act, which is the signature piece of legislation. They should have already moved to protect our elections. And it looks more and more every day like the Senate is this large protection racket against Republican voters. That cannot continue. Yeah, the establishment not happy as I saw John Thune's press conference, so you could tell he wasn't happy about it. But I think you just put your finger on exactly what happened. I think the president gave John Thune and Ken Paxton, or John Thune and John Cornyn one last chance to get the Save America acted through. And when they couldn't do it, then he said, okay, you can't get the job done. I'm going to find somebody who can. They failed. And I think Ken Paxton is now that he's that person. He's going to support the president's agenda. He's going to, he will move these pieces of legislation that should have already moved. I think voters are sick of seeing. legislation designed to protect our borders, protect voters, protect our elections, not move in service of a few moderate stalwarts in the Senate. And I think the answer is John Thune just, he never had the votes to pass the Save America Act. I think there were not enough Republicans to pass the act. And that's our core problem in the Senate. We don't have enough people of, of competence and principle to. to pass this legislation. So here comes Ken Paxton. Right. Well, except Ken Paxton still has to win his primary runoff. So that means that people have to turn on and vote. I'm hoping that this is not going to keep people going, oh, he got the Trump endorsement. We don't have to worry about showing up to vote. He'll be fine. Yeah, well, I cast my vote early Monday morning. I hope everybody's out in early voting this week before the Memorial Day weekend out voting because this is going to be a transformative primary. It sincerely has the makings of transforming a lot of things down ballot for conservatives in Texas. I think we're going to see more conservative primary opponents. We're going to see the Texas House, which I serve in and Texas Senate and our statewide officials. begin to be transformed by this process. If the polls, Mitch, are to be believed, it would be a dead heat if the election were held today between, well, either, it doesn't matter which Republican candidate would win, it's pretty much a dead heat with James Talarico. Do you buy these polls? And what do you think would be the big thing that could separate whoever the Republican candidate is, particularly Ken Paxton from James Talarico? I don't buy that at all. I think what we need to be doing is going back and looking at what the top five candidates on the Democrat into the ballot have said. I have had the great pleasure or displeasure of working with all these people.

James Talarico, Gina Hanoosa, Vicki Goodwin, all the people that are running for the statewide positions on the Democrat side of the ballot, they are crazy. You just need to listen to what it is that they have to say about God being non-binary, there being six genders, wanting to take all of our guns away, et cetera. If Texans understood everything that these people said, these races would not be close. And it's our job to educate voters between now and November about who these people really are. There's nothing like getting endorsed by President Trump. I think he's the most significant endorsement in at least my lifetime. If you get his endorsement, it's the gold standard. And so people have a lot of respect for that, especially in the Republican primary. State Attorney General Ken Paxton on Fox after Trump endorsed him in the runoff against John Cornyn. Today is day number three of the early voting period statewide, and that period runs. through Friday. Reaction from state representative Mitch Little, who represented Ken Paxton in his impeachment trial. He says the AG's focus will be on the Save America Act once he gets to Washington. He's going to support the president's agenda. He's going to, he will move these pieces of legislation that should have already moved. Little on Houston's morning news moments ago. Another key Republican runoff next week is in District 35 in the San Antonio area between businessman. Carlos de la Cruz and state rep John Lujan, who's been under the microscope for working with a Democrat consultant. But political consultant, Luke Macias says it's not how it appears. He does have some Democrat supporters, and that's what it's taken to actually give Republicans control and a reliable vote for Republican priorities. But I think he's also shown himself to be a strong supporter of President Trump's agenda. Macias adds he's not concerned. No, but I am concerned that his opponent, Carlos Delacruz, has a sister who's the only Republican in Texas to co-author the mass amnesty bill, which a bunch of Democrats are pushing right now. Early voting is underway. Jeff Andy Biggs News Radio 740. KT or H. The Democrat runoff in this district features a radical leftist that's now getting some national attention. We'll have that for you at 630. 604 President Trump says he's giving a run into next week to make a deal or the strikes will fire back up. Vice President JD Vance is hopeful. There's a lot of back and forth, a lot of good progress is being made, but we're just going to keep on working at it, and eventually we'll either hit a deal or we won't. That said never Trumpers like Bill Cassidy, remember him. He lost his primary last week. Well, he helped advance a war powers resolution in Congress yesterday, something that up until now has failed. Notably, in wars under past presidents, there hasn't been much talk of the War Powers Act. Why are they now pushing this? It has to be Trump derangement syndrome. Their failed leadership and then the media pushing these angles as well. Former Bear County GOP vice chair Kyle Sinclair says it's just being used as a midterm political weapon against Trump. It's just a bunch of hypocrisy from the lunatic Democrats. When you can't be anybody on policy and issues, you're avert to tactics like this. All futures are down more than 2.5% this morning to $101.47 a barrel after losses across the board on Wall Street. Yesterday, we've got gains this morning. 605, Texas public schools could lose as many as 100,000 students by 2030. Experts say parents are pulling their kids out for what they feel are simply better options.

The Texas Virtual Network has moved from a niche option to a more permanent fixture and is now growing faster than the charter school enrollment. That's Bob Templeton with the group Strive Public Policy. So he mentioned it in Texas Public Schools are bringing back virtual learning. At least a dozen Texas school districts, including Houston ISD, are launching new virtual or hybrid schools for the upcoming school year. Gene Burke, president of college prep genius, thinks this is a bad idea. I don't know why they didn't learn. Virtual schooling during the pandemic did not work. There's parents working. Many, many parents work. I don't know how they're going to try to pull this off again. You don't have student engagement. They end up doing some sort of passive learning. Kids need that face-to-face engagement. Clean coal, of course. 624 is our time. Mark Moro joins us with the Climate Depot. I know there's some environmentalists out there who don't believe there's such a thing as clean coal. Could you set them straight on that, Mark? Yes, if you go back to like the first Earth Day, 1970, coal plants were a problem. They had brought cities from across the American Northeast to soot and smog and horrible air quality. We've now had massive technological advances, massive improvements. The modern-day coal plants are not even anywhere a shadow of their former cells. There is such a thing as clean coal to remove all the harmful pollutants and chemicals. Now, the big thing about coal isn't really pollution anymore. It's about carbon dioxide. So the reason... In recent years, all these countries from across Asia and Europe have been getting rid of all their domestic coal production is so they can meet accounting tricks with UN climate goals, dealing with global warming. And that put them in very vulnerable position. And that's where we are right now, because coal is the most national security-friendly energy source, period. By the way, America is the Saudi Arabia of coal. And we have more coal than anyone else in the world that we can, if we access it. And the thing about coal is it's a local issue. It's not a global market. So no matter how much oil the United States produces, unless we nationalize our oil industry, we are subject to the global price. So if there's a conflict in the Middle East, our price of the pump is going to go up. Other prices related to oil are going to go up. And because of that, poll. really shines during a time of conflict and war. Mark Marano, I saw where several scientific groups now are starting to come out, and they're backing off on their apocalyptic view of climate change and admitting that, yeah, no, we aren't really killing the planet. The planet's not going to die. We're going to be... Pretty much just fine. Are you surprised that we have scientists that are finally willing to come forward and say that? And do you think the United Nations, the UN will ever step up and say, well, we've got to take a look at the science and admit that all this climate alarmism is really a great big lie. They're never going to say that because they are a self-serving lobbying organization. The UN formed a climate panel in 1988 with the goal of saying how carbon dioxide is destroying the earth. If they fail to find global warming emergency, they fail to have a reason to exist. And not only do they get to do the scientific conferences, they get to do the solution. They get to be in charge of the global carbon taxes. They're trying to impose one on shipping. They get to be in charge of all these UN climate agreements.

What's happening here, and this is very significant, even Donald Trump noticed. President Trump tweeted out of whatever, truth social about this. The UN has climate model. So think of polar bears. Polar bears are at or near historic population highs. They've never counted this many. Even the indigenous people of the Arctic say they've never seen this many polar bears. But guess what? For years we've been told polar bears are going extinct. This is the most dire how are they doing that? When current reality failed to alarm, they made scary. scarier and scarier predictions of the future. So what's significant here is the UN Climate Panel is now acknowledging that these climate models using extreme scenarios are not plausible, they're not valid, and they're going to stop using them, which means all the doomsday climate literally evaporates overnight. And this is a shocking, shocking development because this was invented by Tom Steyer. As Trump put his stamp of approval on Ken Paxton and not John Cornyn.

None of us controlled what the president does. He made his decision about that. That doesn't change the way I feel. And I am certainly supportive of, continue to be supportive of John Cornyn and his reelection. That is Senate Majority Leader John Thune, and he wasn't the only Old Guard Republican unhappy with the pick. Maine Susan Collins said she was, quote, disappointed and called Ken Paxton, her words, ethically challenged. Maybe. Susan Collins and John Thune should be focusing their shots on a San Antonio sex therapist running for Congress as a Democrat. She's been accused of being an anti-Semite. Maureen Galindo is her name, and her social media feed is full of videos where she accuses Jews of secretly controlling the media in government. They run the Epstein networks and they controlled DHS because that was the whole point of DHS and ICE was for the Israelis to occupy America. She's so extreme that even Senate candidate James Talarico won't campaign with her. Early voting, by the way, continues through Friday. Polls reopen at seven. Elsewhere, six states had their primaries yesterday. The big Kentucky race we were all watching goes to the Trump Act, Ed Galeraine, who beats Thomas Massie. After Thomas Massie went against Trump on several issues. Trump endorsed candidates also picked up wins in Georgia and Alabama. 634 now, the president is putting more pressure on Iran to come to the bargaining table, but the Iranians... have a lengthy list of demands before they finally wave the white flag. Iran is reportedly asking for a laundry list of concessions, including lifting of sanctions on Tehran, releasing of frozen funds, and enter the U.S. naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, ending the war on all fronts, which includes Lebanon and reparations to cover the destruction caused by the war. Ashley Webster reporting there. Now, with oil, with oil rather, harder to find because of the Strait of Hormuz closure, coal is more in demand. Climate Depot's Mark Morano says as an energy source, it's a great backup. If the United States produces more of its own coal, we can do it cheaply, and it brings our costs down. We don't have to worry about the global price of coal as we do with the global price of oil. Speaking of that price of oil, it's now at $102.3 a barrel. Now there's wind energy, too, and there's this. The Trump Defense Department is delaying 54 projects in the Lone Star State over national security concerns. It's a blow to the wind industry. If you'll excuse the expression, the U.S. Department of Defense is delaying the permitting of new tall wind turbines for electrical generation. Matt Welch of conservative Texans for energy innovation says this is bad timing, though, with all the new data centers coming in.

It's shaping up to be a brutal summer for Texas summer camps. A records show that one year after a deadly flood led to tough new rules, more than five dozen camps are not opening this year. I think, you know, those of us are old enough to remember our fathers who served during World War II. We remember a lot of Saturdays with ice cold, local beer, whatever that local beer was. For my dad, it was Stroes. Strow Brewery Company out of Detroit, Michigan made something called Stroes, and it was fire-brewed beer. That was their big slogan. It was a David versus Goliath. I was the underdog. I want to thank the president. I want to thank the conservative Republicans from this district and my supporters and team because it sends a message that we, the people, are going to stand up. That said, Galrain on Fox, the Trump-backed Republican beating Thomas Massie in the congressional primary in Kentucky last night. Reaction to that win from Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Stakes are too high. We're not screw it around. This is not a game. If you want to just criticize everything, go write it op-ed online. Go write a blog online. That is Cruz with KTRH as Sean Hannity. Elsewhere in Georgia, Republican and Trump endorsed Bird Jay Jones advances to the runoff for the governor's nomination, and the Trump-backed Tommy Tuberville easily gets the victory in the Republican primary for the Alabama gubernatorial spot. It's now 704. The president says he's giving a run this weekend into next week to make a deal or strikes resume. The Trump administration is letting talks with Iran play out, even as the vice president says, it's not always clear what the regime's negotiating position is. Maybe the Iranians aren't themselves quite clear in what direction they want to go to. They also are just a fractured country. It comes after the president took his finger off the trigger Monday at the behest of Gulf allies. That is Fox is Aisha Hosni reporting. Meantime, Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, he lost his primary last week. Well, he's letting his true color show, helping Democrats advance a war powers resolution that might not get much further than it is right now. Right now, the war power act has been rejected by every president, and it's never been ruled whether it's unconstitutional. So this will be a very interesting time if someone sues and takes me for the Supreme Court and see if it's actually constitutional. Former Texas Congressman Steve Stockman, looking at the markets this morning, Dow futures are up, oil checking in at $102.53 a barrel. On another foreign policy front, the president says he doesn't want to insult the Chinese.

by denying half a million student visas. It's a perplexing stance to take, considering how the Chinese operate. Chinese consular officials and Chinese Ministry of State Security agents monitor, coerced, and surveil Chinese students, and often get them to commit acts of espionage. China expert Gordon Chang says we don't have enough resources to track these students' activities, and it's baffling because it's not like Trump's agenda. Americans, and especially his MAGA base, don't like this. This is not America first by any means. He says these spots, especially. in the STEM fields need to be going to American students. And now Democrat Harris County judge candidate, Anise Parker, suggested could become a casino, something that would cost over a billion dollars. There'd be people lining up to do that, but nobody is. They see this as free money, don't they? They're not paying for it, yes. Isn't it a fact that, for example, Medicaid and California will pay a provider to provide tribal prayers? I looked all this up. I mean, I'll accept that. I didn't know that, but yes. That California will actually pay a health care provider. I didn't know this was a medical expertise to pay for exorcisms. Is that right?

I'll accept that, Senator Irma. That's... They pay... The California Medicaid program will pay for herbal medicines. Meal deliveries. They'll pay for housing. I don't know what housing has to do with health care. Is that correct? Yes. Were you aware that the Medicaid program using federal money, taxpayer money, will pay for an in-home chef? Yes. If it's a family member, yes. Yeah, they'll even pay for gymnasium fees through Medicaid in California. They'll pay for bicycles, scooters, gym memberships. Did you know that? Yes, several states do, but California does for sure. They'll even repay your student loans. Were you aware of that? I was not aware of the student loans. Yeah, they'll be repay somebody's student loans to encourage them to become a health care provider. I mean, California, they're just setting all kinds of records. Yeah, they are. So here's my question for the farewell government. What are you doing about it? Some of that stuff you already know about, why haven't you done something about it? And do we want these states to have complete control over how the money is spent? I mean, they need to take control of Medicaid like they took control of the SNAP program. Although I'm not 100% convinced that's been fixed yet. But they need to say, hey, this is what Medicaid covers. It doesn't cover home chefs or exorcisms. 710, time for traffic and weather together. And in the meantime, you've got the latest Senator, non-Trump supporter, to be ousted in his primary. Senator Bill Cassidy has decided to join Rand Paul and Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. in voting for a motion to discharge the war powers resolution that was sponsored by Democrat Senator Tim Kaine. Joining us to talk about all this is Kyle Sinclair, former Amy Coney Barrett County GOP vice chair. I guess I'm not surprised by Bill Cassidy. I don't know if it's just a case of him finally showing his true colors or if he just has his feelings hurt over losing the primary and watch to show a little revenge towards President Trump. What do you think? Yeah, I think, you know, you even look at the rest of the group, Rand Paul, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, I mean, and includes, you know, forced Bill Cassidy who just lost his seat. You know, what I find interesting about the group that supported this or even Senate and whole is that they want to enact the war power resolution to stop President Trump from doing what all of the presidents were weak prior to him to not do, which is to take on Iran and to continue to have America being a superpower and dominant figure. but they can't even protect our homeland. And I'm referencing the Save America Act. This is the same group that can't even protect our homeland. So when it comes to these rhinos or weak Republicans that are now voting with the Democrats, that's what I view as the center right now. And they have a lot of problems in the Senate and it goes internal in this country and it goes external as well. Look, I think we supported President Trump. Overwhelmingly knew that President Trump was the only president and the only person that was running at that time and probably in history of this country that could have stopped the downward trajectory that America was facing. And I think he's done a phenomenal job, and I'm excited for the future of America. Now that the president has given Ken Paxton his endorsement, do you think that there might be a chance that Senator John Cornyn joins this group? Yeah, I do. Absolutely. Unfortunately, you know, I'm close to both of them, Ken Paxton and John Cornyn. They're both in town, obviously, doing the rounds as we start early voting, started early voting, excuse me. But I do. I think, you know, President Trump in the MAGA movement is still the Republican Party right now. And, you know, and it should be. Make America great. You should be part of that. And I think that's holding true with his picks on many fronts. And unfortunately, this is going to be one of them in the Senate.

here in Texas too. I do think, unfortunately, John Cornyn is going to lose a seat in Ken Jackson will do a phenomenal job. Well, I think you're, I trust that you're right about that. We'll have to wait and see it. But my only concern, now that this endorsement has come out, because I don't think anybody was expecting it, is that everybody's going to breathe a big sigh of relief, and maybe not as many people will turn out to vote on Tuesday that would have gotten out there just to support Ken Paxton. Yeah, that's a good, maybe so. I mean, what I would say is Governor Greg Abbott's done a really good job too. Right-down ticket is huge. Governor Greg Abbott's always been a great campaigner, travels the entire state. He's a big ticket item on that as well as the U.S. Senate race. Example, I mean, Greg Abbott's back in town. He was here on Friday. He's back in town already here on Wednesday in San Antonio. So, you know, I think Greg Abbott will also help draw the crowd, get out to vote, and there are some hot ticket items such as. the AG race, U.S. Senate race, and then, of course, Governor Greg Abbott. Minor power outages this morning from the rain and storms and now a hair of school closures. This one just happened. It's Mary Merrick Elementary in Alvin ISD, along with Wilder Elementary, both closed because of water damage from the rain. Also topping the news. They want to make a deal so badly. They're tired of this. This should have happened for 47 years. Somebody should have done something about it. President Trump putting more pressure on Iran to make a deal telling reporters he was an hour away from relaunching strikes. As for what the crisis has done to oil prices, Trump says it's only temporary. It's going to happen, and it's going to happen fast, and you're going to see oil prices plummet. They're going to come down. There's so much oil out there. They're going to come plummeting down. Oil selling for $101.79 a barrel this morning, and as oil becomes more expensive, more nations are looking to coal as a substitute. And even the United States is looking at it because we're what some call the Saudi Arabia of coal. And in times of war, it's an efficient substitute for oil in some cases. We've walked away from coal because of climate concerns. And this began way back in Obama administration. But guess what? China burns more coal than the rest of the world.

Kim Biden. Mark Morano of Climate Depot points out that many nations around the world also have moved away from coal and now there in an energy crisis. Mike Shiloh, News Radio 740, KTR. It's now 733 on Capitol Hill fireworks, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche attacked by Chris Van Hollen over establishing an anti-weaponization fund for people claiming they were victims of lawfare under the Biden administration. Will individuals who assaulted Capitol Hill police officers be eligible for this fund? Well, as it makes plain, just let me know if they're eligible for the fund. As was made plain yesterday, anybody in this country is eligible to apply. That was Todd Blanche setting Chris Van Hollen's straight. Closer to home, President Trump goes all in to endorse Ken Paxton in the runoff on Tuesday against John Cornyn, regardless of who wins. Governor Greg Abbott says Republicans must get behind the nominee to defeat James Talarico. The crazy things that James Talarico has said. Just based upon the things he said alone disqualifies him for money for office. Early voting continues today. Polls are open once again. You have until Friday to get your voting early because there's no early voting this weekend. Meantime, a San Antonio area Democrat congressional runoff is now getting national attention because of one candidate and her extreme views. Marine Galindo, a sex therapist turned politician, is accused of being an anti-Semite. Opponents point to her social media feed, which is full of videos accusing the Jewish people of secretly controlling the media and government. She accused her opponent, who worked for the sheriff's office, of putting Jews and Mexicans in concentration camps. And he's paid by Israel. The comments are so extreme that even far left, Senate candidate James Talarico says, if she wins, he will not campaign with her. And the Jewish Federation of San Antonio condemned what they called the spread of anti-Semitic conspiracy theory. ATRH is Michael Bored there. Six states held primaries yesterday. The race in Kentucky we were all watching goes to Ed Galrine, backed by Trump, beating Thomas Massie after Thomas Massie opposed Trump on several major issues. Trump-backed candidates also picked up victories in Alabama and Georgia. 735 Trump RX now offering another 600 generic drunks to its website. That's good news for you. Good news for me. Not good news for the left. Shockingly, this major move has received very little coverage from the mainstream media. It certainly would be the belief story if it were a Democrat administration, but they don't want President Trump to have any positive headlines at all. They're going to just sweep it under the rug. Dr. Robin Armstrong, an RNC committee man, says this could be the GOP's chance to claim the health care issue. There should be a huge effort to do this. So as an RNC member, I'll work hard to make sure that we're pushing that because it's a really big deal for a lot of people. He went on to say this is a prime example of how Democrats talk about issues.

But Republicans take action. Ethan Buchanan, News Radio 740, KTRH. Higher gas prices may be changing some Memorial Day plans this year. Patrick Dahan with Gas Bunny says fewer people are expected to hit the road compared to earlier forecast. That said, AAA still expects millions of Texans to travel. Buckle up, it could be a volatile summer, and the longer the strait of Wormuz remains closed, the more gas prices will be impacted over time. And it's got people wondering, is the Congo team still coming here? Because they were supposed to train here and then they were supposed to play here. And as far as I know, everything is still on. But it does have health officials monitoring what could happen. I'm sure all these team members are being tested to make sure that they're Ebola-free. It's not as white as it once was. But here's the thing. Is this just, are we reacting to this because we're really truly worried about getting Ebola? Are we reacting to this because of COVID-19? Because some of us have been trained to fear a pandemic and to wear masks all the time when we don't need to wear masks. I have to wonder at this point, you know, because it's the liberal media outlets that are all kind of jumping on the Ebola bandwagon here. So I guess my question to all of you as listeners is, first of all, I know how many of you actually plan on attending any of the World Cup events here in Houston, but does this have any impact on your willingness to participate in that? Are you concerned? that having the Congo team here in training and playing might potentially spread the Ebola virus around Houston. We've had two murder suspects who have slipped their ankle monitors and are on the loose. Here's the report, by the way, Adrian Garcia, wanting to do something about it. The reports from our television partner, KPRC2. Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia is promising to take a plan to Commissioner's Court to strengthen the county's GPS ankle monitoring program, which comes just about 24 hours after we revealed a second Harris County murder defendant this month is accused of cutting off his court-ordered monitor just before trial. In a statement to KPRC2 News, Commissioner Garcia says recent stories of two first-time defendants cutting their monitors shows that these devices can be effective in informing authorities. of a potential escape. Making sure that this technology can work to its fullest capability has always been a concern of mind to bolster public safety. He added, I know we can still do more to ensure compliance and accountability, especially from violent offenders. So these are the two men who cut off their ankle monitors before trial. Walter Posos is a wanted fugitive tonight, accused of cutting that GPS monitor off just two days before his murder trial was scheduled to start last week. He's charged in the 2020 death of his passenger who died as he sped away from deputies and then legally is in custody in Italy after cutting off his monitor and using a fake name to fly to Milan where he allegedly used forged travel documents and claimed asylum just weeks before the capital murder trial for his pregnant wife Krista Bauer's 2024 death. So tonight the specifics for any plans from the commissioner are not being shared and the timing of all of this is expected to be over the summer according to a spokesperson for his office. Tonight, the executive director of pretrial services, that's the agency in charge of monitoring these defendants who are on bond, tells me that she is not sharing anything publicly about these situations. And the sheriff's office confirms that deputies tonight are still looking for Posos, while Gilly still has court proceedings pending in Italy. Okay.

I don't think that Adrian Garcia is offering any details because I don't think he's worked out any details yet. I hope he comes up with some ideas. That would be good. But I think he sees this as an opportunity because of his law enforcement background to kind of get in front of this story a little bit and at least try to make it look like to try to do something about it.
