It's time now for the news. Here's Cliff Saunders. Good morning. It's 501, our top story this morning. On this vote, the a's are 52, the nays are 47. This bill as amended is passed. A major win for President Trump as you slept that 52 to 47 vote in the Senate to pass a $70 billion reconciliation package funding ICE and CBP through 2029. Alaska's Lisa Murkowski, the only Republican to vote against it. This now goes into the House. Speaking of Lisa Murkowski, she and three other senators from the Republican side, Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, Thom Tillis. blocked the Save America Act last night. Missouri Republican Eric Schmidt says it's ridiculous. There was a bipartisan commission 20 years ago. The Carter Baker Commission that said, hey, here are the 10 things you can do to make sure our elections are secure. California is violating almost all of those now out of raw power play. And speaking of California, we still don't have the official results from the primary on Tuesday. They're not required to release daily updates. So each county releases results.

Whenever they feel like it, there's no real deadline to finish the counter to tell people what the votes are. They have about a month to finish, and in the last 24 hours, only 3% more of the vote came in. Fox's Jesse Waters, Steve Hilton, and Spencer Pratt remain in position to advance June November. Thanks to the success of Hilton and Pratt, many political analysts say the tide in California is turning. But Jennifer Kelly, formerly with the California GOP, says... Keep in mind, more than 70% voted Democrat. When you narrow it down to two candidates, a Republican and a Democrat, it is going to be much harder for the Republican to win because most folks are going to coalesce behind the Democrat candidate. And closer to home, new polls show 35% of Texans believe there is some voter fraud that goes on. Another 24% think there's a great deal of it. Another 30% believe there's none, and it shows the divide and trust for our elections. And also that we have a lot of work to do in inspiring confidence in the election process. Josh Finlay, the TPPF, says we don't know the true amount of election fraud ongoing, but really how much doesn't matter. You've got 30% of the people thinking that there is some sort of fraud in an election. That's a number that's just too high to be acceptable, even if the reality is much lower. The latest jarling of the radical left is scrambling to save his campaign this morning. There are some allegations in this piece that I just want to be kind of unequivocal about are simply not true. Payne's Graham Platner on MS now as a liberal newspaper makes serious accusations. Several women told the New York Times, Graham Platner was a toxic boyfriend who struggled often with alcohol. The Times says it spoke with multiple women who said that Graham Platner could be charismatic and charming. They also recalled in interviews, but demeaning to women. And in at least one case, even physically threatening, he drank heavily and regularly was unfaithful. Mark Meredith reporting the main primary is on Tuesday. In the Oval Office, President Trump remained confident about striking a deal to end the conflict in Iran. The main parts of the deal is that can't have a nuclear weapon. The street will open immediately. Oil futures this morning checking in at $92.71 a barrel. Gasoline prices across Houston dropped another two cents to 378. But a case of the New World screw worm, I can say it, has been confirmed in the Lone Star State. The Texas Farm Bureau says they've been preparing for the arrival of the New World Screw Worm Fly, which has been detected here for the first time in decades. The industry in Texas represents billions of dollars, and it is compromised if certain efforts are not undertaken. So soon, Gary Joyner, says they're telling ranchers to double down on the inspection of their herds. The fly lays eggs in open wounds and left untreated can cause death within days. The single case is already affecting cattle futures, which have been struggling due to record low herd size. KTRH is Michael Bored. are petitioning for more lifeguards at Surfside Beach after the drowning death of an 11-year-old. Officials are adding public safety measures, Alderman Jonathan Greer. Where we really don't have the resources, they can help us to have the boots on the ground and the boats in the water to make sure everybody comes back safe. He told KTRH Council voted unanimously to work with the Accra Search and Rescue. A 17-year-old arrested for the fatal shooting of another teen at a home in the woodlands. All right, so the big news, I guess, is that President Trump's... June 1st deadline didn't get met, but they did pass the reconciliation bill, so, well, they did in the Senate. It's not done yet. It still has to go to the House, and they have to get it through the House, and then it'll have to go to the President for his signature, but at least they got through the Senate. The Save America Act, however, did not get through the Senate because we had four Republicans who opposed it, who always were opposing it, and then still oppose it. On News Radio 740, KTRH. All right, this interview was recorded before the reconciliation bill passed, but I think that he knew that the reconciliation bill was going to pass. Senator Jim Banks, Republican from Indiana. talking about the importance of the bill, the need to get it done. I can't defend it. It's not logical to me that at the end of the day, though, we are on the Senate floor and we're about to pass this very important funding bill through the reconciliation process to fund ICE and Border Patrol for the next three years because Democrats have blocked that funding. And this is President Trump's very top priority. This is why he won the popular vote in the 2024 election to secure the border. We have the lowest. number of illegal border crossings that we've had in over 50 years because of President Trump and what he's done to secure our border. But the Democrats have tried to block funding for Border Patrol and our ICE officers for law enforcement, which is so important. So that's what we're doing on the Senate floor right now. We're going to pass it. The House is in session right now. They're waiting for the Senate bill to come over to them so they can pass it quickly, send it to the President and fund these priorities for the next three years, and that's what we're about to do. I'm very confident of that. There will be several amendment votes over the next several hours, and some of those amendment votes might be offered by Democrats and a few Republicans will vote for them. But at the end of the day, we will get the job done. We'll pass the funding bill and send it to the House. The President will sign it, and that will accomplish.

The most important priority of this second Trump term to fund our federal law enforcement, ICE for continued deportations, and to fund our border patrol. That's our top priority. I can't defend those some Republicans do here or there, but we stand in solidarity with President Trump. Our voters expect that, and we're about to accomplish this piece. President Trump has been so transparent on the weaponization fund, the ballroom funding, he's pulled back. He's done his job. negotiate and provide the type of flexibility to get this done. Hopefully we can come back to some of those other priorities later. But our most important mission tonight is to pass this funding bill, and we're about to do that. And the reason we have to pass it is because Democrats blocked funding for Border Patrol and for ICE. The American people are demanding that we fund it and make these a continued priority for a long time, and that's what we're going to do. And it did pass. And as far as I know it's a clean bill, I don't think any of the... proposed amendments from either the rogue Republicans or from Democrats got added on. So it's a clean bill. President Trump at the White House, while he's still confident of a deal with Iran, he's got a problem on his right. A frustrated President Trump lashed out at House Democrats and four House Republicans who voted to limit his war powers, quote, right in the middle of my final negotiations to end the war with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Who would do such an unpatriotic thing? They know where the negotiations stand. Fox is Peter Ducey. For the second time this week, House Republicans defied the president. More than a dozen voted with Democrats to give more military aid to Ukraine. All these Republicans voting to send more money to Ukraine. It's unbelievable. All the Democrats, and from what I counted, 19 Republicans, they're over there. Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins on X, and then there's China, which is fueling opposition to American data centers while building their own. A new report from the Bitcoin Policy Institute details a multi-year influence effort by China to oppose new data centers and AI development in the U.S. Author and China expert, Gordon Chang, says we've seen evidence of this already. China is feeling some of the protests against data centers. And some of these protests are not organic. They're funded by the Communist Party or its intermediaries. China is behind the U.S. and AI, and they're looking for every advantage to use against us. And they have help from the American left.

Senator Bernie Sanders and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced a bill to freeze all construction of data centers in the U.S. Corey Olson, News Radio 740, KTRH. According to reports, former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton is going to plead guilty to mishandling classified material. FBI director Kash Patel tells News Nation everything was done by the book. Whether or not he pleads guilty, like any other defendant charges in this country is entirely up to him. So we'll see what he decides to do. But there's been a sufficiency of credible evidence to make that charge. And now he will have his day in court. John Bolton faces a fine of more than $2 million and up to five years in prison. It's now 534 more leftist obstruction on President Trump's immigration agenda. Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego wants to overturn immigration law that requires an applicant to leave the U.S. when applying for a green card so they can finish out the process abroad. Breitbart's Bob Price says the bigger the criminal, the more the Democrats feel bound to defend them. They continuously place criminal illegal aliens' interests above those of U.S. citizens who they are sworn to protect. Gallegos is pushing to have the action classified as a rule, a distinction that gives the Dems more ways to change. challenge Trump through legislative means. I'm Erica Smith. News Radio 740, KTRH. Another night of anti-ice protests in New Jersey borders our Tom Homan calling it out for what it is. This is domestic terrorism. And anybody says, how dare you say that? Look up the definition of domestic terrorism. They're using threats, intimidation, and violence to reach her political ideology. And getting support from Democrat leaders. Meantime, reconciliation passes the Senate overnight to fund ICE and Border Patrol through 2029. The only no vote from the republic side was Alaska's Lisa Murkowski. This now goes to the house. The mainstream media is still in meltdown mode over the firing of longtime 60 minutes correspondent Scott Pelly by CBS. Fired by CBS due to TDS. It may have come as a surprise to Pelley, but it shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone else. That is Tim Graham, executive director for the media watchdog newsbusters. You can listen to Scott Pelley and thinks that now CBS is this ridiculously pro-Trump channel. No, 60 minutes over the last season was quite definitively anti-Trump. More than 130 Texas towns are being blocked from increasing property tax rates because they're not complying with state law. State laws are not suggestions. They are rules. Policy analyst James Quintero says the audits are a vital look to make sure taxpayer dollars are not being wasted. More rain in the forecast this weekend. A growing number of Texans who have flood insurance coverage are canceling it this year. Experts say that could be pricey because just a few inches of water can cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage. And if it gets up to your electrical outlets, it could even go exponentially higher. Rich Johnson is with the Insurance Council of Texas. He says most people are losing flood insurance coverage due to the cost. Policy cancellations are dropping faster here than in any other state in the nation. That's KTRH's wrecks out. You know, sub-Americans have concerns over AI and data centers because of the amount of power that they draw, the amount of power that they use, especially here in Texas because, well, you know, we've got a lot of people that continue to move here and we're worried about having enough power for everything. Although I will say that a lot of these data centers that are going in are generating their own power. That's part of what's making it possible. But China is concerned about AI and data centers in the U.S. for different reasons. Gordon Chang joins us, author and China, expert. What is China worried about it? I guess they want to make sure that we don't get a corner on the AI for one thing, right? Thanks, Jimmy. And by the way, thank you for the Doobie Brothers. That was just great. You're welcome. China wants to make sure the United States does not compete with China on AI. They know we have a lead right now, and they want to impede our development. So they've been funding these protests across the U.S. against data centers. Now, there are some legitimate concerns about data centers, as you pointed out. But a lot of these protests are not organic. You know, you go back to the Cold War, the Soviets were funding the disarmament movement. Then you have China supporting climate change protests in the U.S. Now it's data centers. They're doing everything possible to prevent the U.S. from being the leader in AI. And by the way, Jimmy, the leader in AI is the leader of the 21st century.

Oh, I think you're absolutely right about that. Whether you like AI or you don't like it, it is at the very least a necessary evil if you want to compete in the world, don't you think? Oh, absolutely, because it's going to control the economy, and it's going to control militaries. It's just everything. You know, unfortunately, the machines are better than we are at some things. And, yeah, I'm worried about the Terminator scenario, especially because, you know, you marry AI with humanoid robots. That really gets very scary. But the point is, the Chinese are doing that, and we've got to understand that we've got to compete. Because if we don't compete... They will rule the world. Okay. And of course, that's what they ultimately would like to do. I think there's a recognition by the Trump administration of that, don't you? Oh, certainly. And we are seeing the Trump administration work very closely with the big AI companies. President Trump issued his AI executive order a couple days ago. That is, with a lot of cooperation with the big companies. And they're doing that because there are some problems, of course. These AI models can actually attack networks. They're very good at it. And the federal government needs time to build. patches and to be able to defend America's networks. So this was a very good development, I think. I was kind of fascinated by what you were saying about China wanting to corner the market on AI. I want to pick your brain here for a second on these protests because obviously we've got some violent protesting that's going on right now in New Jersey over an ice facility. Are the Chinese in any way, shape, or form? Are they behind any of the other non-organic protesting that we see going on in this country right now? Well, certainly, and it's not just right now. It's going back to 2020. Chinese were actually fomenting violence on American streets, both openly and illicitly, I mean, and under the surface. And by the way, that's an act of war to foment violence on the streets of another country. And unfortunately, we did not take effective measures. And the Chinese saw that, and they said, well, okay, if we can do that now, we can do it in the future. And they have been doing it in the future. So they're going to continue to do that, you think. Until we stopped them. Are they funding it? Are they helping to organize it? What is their involvement in? Are they just funding other individuals to get involved in it? How does that work for the Chinese? All of the above, because we've seen Chinese nationals on our streets engaging in violent acts, especially on the night that St. John's church was burned. That's the church that is one block from the White House in 2020. There were organized gangs of Chinese, and our government believes that they were not just individuals protesting. They were actually organized by Beijing. But we have seen China not only fun protests.

is unacceptable. Better news on the reconciliation front as the Senate votes to pass reconciliation. That's ICE and CBP funding through 2029, a $70 billion package. Lisa Murkowski was the only Republican to vote against this. Oh, this bill also addresses other issues. This reform bill, this compromise here, would include a ban of a government-backed digital currency for three years. And House conservatives wanted a permanent ban on that. And it also would prohibit the FBI from using Section 702 of FISA against the prosecution of an American. So they thought they had an agreement there. And that all fell apart. The program, the authorization expires. But what happens at the end of next week, the FISA court has indicated that they can still use the program. The question is whether or not that the telecommunications companies will continue to provide the data without the legal cover. That is Fox's Chad Pergram. We still don't have official results from California, where Steve Hilton and Spencer Prater in position to advance to the general election, many believe the tide is turning in that Democrat state. But is it really? Jennifer Kelly is the former spokeswoman for the California Republican Party. This is significant. You can't say that it doesn't matter. Do I believe the tide is turning? I absolutely do. But she also admits the numbers favor the Democrats. You're talking to someone who fought for 20 years and winning votes in California. I know how daunting it is. So the TSU Barbara Jim Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center asked the following question, which is more important? Stopping voter fraud and illegal immigrants from voting or making sure eligible voters are denied the right to vote. And the answer was split right down the middle. I want to know why we think that those two questions are mutually exclusive of each other. When it comes to voter integrity and voter access, Why can't you have both? If all you're asking for is for a voter ID, how does that impact your ability or your accessibility to vote? To me, that's not even a question, but I guess to some it is. Josh Findlay joins us with the Texas Public Policy Foundation. I find it strange that they separate those two. And you're exactly right that those are not mutually exclusive questions. Generally, when you have rules, when you have a system that inspires confidence in the process, you have turnout increase, participation increase among the people that are legal. And this has been tested. I mean, what we've seen in Georgia following the 2020 election when they increased. voter laws and that controversial bill that was that was called Jim Crow 2.0 that everyone from Joe Biden on down said was going to be voter suppression. Following the passage of that bill, turnout among minorities, the groups that they said were going to be suppressed actually increased. So when you have better laws, people have more confidence in the process and the results, and they participate more. So let me share a quote with you from this story that I'm looking at is from Mark Jay Jones. He was one of the co-authors of the survey. He said the more you prioritize election integrity, the more you restrict ballot access, and the more you expand ballot access, the more you undermine election integrity. Your thoughts on that. What he's talking about? What he's talking about is ballot access, but I don't know that that necessarily means ballot access for legal voters. A lot of times when people talk about ballot access, they want to restrict voter ID laws, but everybody who should be legally voting as an ID. You know, I liken this a lot to our banking system. Nobody argues that there is no fraud in the financial system. Everybody knows that there is some fraud there. And let me be clear.

No level of fraud is acceptable in the banking system or in our voting system. However, people still put their money in the bank because they have confidence in the rules. You have to show an ID when you enter into the system. You have records of every transaction that happens in the banking system. You have point of sale receipts. You can log on any time to look at your bank account. And then finally, when there are mistakes or there are fraud, banks are quick to fix it. They don't just accept it and say that's part of this system. And so people participate in the banking system. Our election system should be the same way. The government's role should just be to count the votes of legal voters. If they had more rules in place to clarify how the process works, people would have confidence in the results, and I think you'd see higher participation. We're talking to Josh Finley's with the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Josh, let me ask you, too, about another issue that I think has a lot to do with voter integrity, absentee ballots, early voting, those types of things. Do we need to put... changes into effect on when you can vote, how early you can vote, who gets access to a mail-in ballot, for example? Well, the closer, the farther away you get from a system where a person shows up to vote with an ID and casts their ballot right there, the more likely you are to have chances of fraud. And therefore, mail-in voting, I think, is the weakest form of voting we have. One of the most... insidious things that's happened since the 2020 election is that a lot of states have normalized mail-in voting without having any kind of reason. You can just choose to vote by mail. And the more that you do that without strict ID laws, the more you open the voting system up to fraud, to mistake, and all types of errors that, like we said, reduce confidence in the process and in the results. Trump reiterating that talks continue. Other foreign policy news about 20 House GOP members vote to give more money to Ukraine with the president supporting a meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin. In an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, proposes a meeting between the two, a step President Trump is encouraging. The president has tried to broker a ceasefire meeting separately with Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin and says he has suggested concessions from both sides. Volodymyr Zelensky's letter comes as Russia intensifies airstrikes against Kiev and Ukrainian drones have hit deeper into Russian territory. Jared Halpern reporting there's a growing debate around AI and data center. but not all of it is organic. According to a new report, China is behind an influence campaign here to discourage AI development. Author and China expert, Gordon Chang, says China is trying to pass us as the world's leader in artificial intelligence. In a sense, this is nothing new. Liberal lawmakers like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are helping by pushing legislation to stop all data center construction in the U.S. According to reports, former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton will plead guilty to mishandling classified material. John Bolton caved in because he had no defense, and he stored thousands of pages of classified top secret material at his home, and that is a clear violation of the Espionage Act. Legal analyst Greg Jarrett with KTRH is Sean Hannity. John Bolton faces a fine of more than $2 million, five years in jail. It's 634. Reconciliation passes the Senate as you slept. This will fund the president's border enforcement operations through 2029. Only one Republican was a no vote. It was Alaska's Lisa Murkowski. This now goes to the House. Arizona Democratic Center Ruben Gallego wants to overturn a Trump green card policy requiring the applicant to complete the process abroad. Breitbart's Bob Price says the Democrats used to be. against illegal immigration. President Bill Clinton had strong immigration policies. Even Barack Obama deported more people than anybody else at that time. Price says if Trump starts working on it, Trump or her ancient syndrome automatically kicks in on the left. And there's plenty of TDS in Wisconsin, where the president takes his economic message later today. The White House says President Trump will visit Chippewa County, Wisconsin, discussing his working family's tax cuts. That it says has delivered an average of $2,600 in savings to rural Wisconsinites and saved over 55,000 family farms in Wisconsin by permanently cutting the death tax. After hitting a new record high yesterday, Dow futures are up 40 points this morning. The May Jobs report comes out in less than an hour. Now, while the left is crying censorship over the firing of Scott Pelly by CBS, Tim Graham at the media watchdog NewsBusters credits Bari Weiss and says, it was about time. I think anyone in America who's on a staff would expect that if you disparage the boss to this degree, you're going to get fired. This network has not changed dramatically under Bari Weiss. It's now 636. Here at home, more than 100 Texas cities are about to find out that Austin is serious about holding the line on property taxes. More than 130 towns are being blocked from increasing their property tax rates because they're not in compliance with a new law, which requires annual audits. And when you break the rules...

then you're going to suffer the consequences. James Keentero with the Texas Public Policy Foundation says the audits are a vital look to make sure taxpayer dollars are not being wasted. You know, because we get the scary Social Security stories every year. I don't know. How many decades now has Social Security been going broken in the next 10 years? It seems like, you know, every year we have a story like this. The latest story claiming that Social Security without changes will be broke by 2032, which is just seven years away. So are you concerned about that? Here's the report, by the way. From our television partner, KPRC 2. Hey, you want to talk about a gigantic story. This is one that could financially cripple tens of millions of people all across the country in every state, including Texas. The Social Security Administration is now estimating that the trust fund that pays Social Security benefits is projected to run out of money completely by 2023, which would result in immediate... 24% cut to all retirees, meaning the average person receiving Social Security would see on average a $500 a month cut to their Social Security check. In some states, it would be even worse than that. According to this report by the committee for a responsible federal budget, no state or retiree would be spared from this potentially devastating effect. So what would happen to our Social Security benefits right here in Texas? Texans would see their... monthly benefits slashed by $489 a month. In many states, it would be worse than that. New Jersey would see a $554 cut. Washington, $531, Michigan, $523. And again, Texas. $489 cut a month. So what can we do about all this right now? Well, if you're currently getting Social Security benefits, simply multiply your payment by 0.76 to find out how much money you'd actually lose if this happens. Then make two lists. A must pay bills list like utilities, food and car insurance, things you have to pay, and a possible cut list. Things like streaming services, subscription.

and eating out and then try to identify just two bills that you can reduce or eliminate completely. Now, this report shows what researchers say will happen if no changes are made. If Congress or the president acts before 2032, the report says these deductions could be avoided. Is there anybody out there who seriously thinks the Congress? Even this do-nothing Congress environment that we're in, that Congress of the President would allow that to happen. They'd be ridden out of town on a rail. That would cost the job of every congressman if they allowed that to happen. If there's anything you can be sure of in life that the government will figure out how to fund, it's Social Security. Social Security is a big block of voters. It is the third rail, as it's been referred to so many times, of American society. It's not going anywhere. You can use this maybe an opportunity to talk about making changes, to make it more solvent. But it's not going anywhere. There's no way the government lets Social Security expire. So it's generally the case these days, especially with the New York Times, when somebody's running for office and it would appear that there are some skeletons in his closet, they'll start doing an investigation. They'll go back, you know, 10, 20 years and see where they can dig up. And evidently when it comes to Graham Platner, this main Democrat Senate candidate, they have found quite a bit. The latest allegations being his controlling drunken behavior towards women. And he says it goes back to his days of just coming out of the Marines and having PTSD and drinking heavily. And he knows he wasn't a perfect person. Anyway, he's got a lot of skeletons in his closet. He's got that Nazi tattoo. He's got all kinds of things in his world that you would think don't make him a particularly good candidate. They were talking about it yesterday on the 5. It's over. He can't survive it. They have women on the record calling him a brute. He was rough with them. He twisted their arms behind their back, locked them in closets, grabbed them by the wrist, roughed them up, left marks. I mean, you can't survive that. No one can survive that. The guy's an animal. He's unstable.

He might even be mentally ill. He's in therapy. And so the whole Nazi tattoo started it should have been over then. I mean, why are we still talking about Graham Platner? He should have been out on his keister last month. But the Democrats are so desperate for the seat because if they don't get it, they don't get to pack the court and add D.C. and Puerto Rico is states. So they are all in. And they've totally sacrificed the moral high ground. Remember the moral high ground with Democrats? It was about character. And they were these knights in shining armor defending these institutions and the democracy. And forget about it. They don't have any high ground. They never had it. They never will. This guy is a beast. He knew the tattoo was a Nazi tattoo. She's saying he was joking about it. He called it my little token cough. And then he would rape an intruder, but not in a gay way. This guy should probably be institutionalized. As the party of women, the Democratic Party, there is no way they're going to tolerate that. And nothing makes these politicians angrier when you embarrass them. They've gone way out on a limb for this guy. And they have been on camera on the record defending this guy. And he told them to their face, this was it. And it wasn't. So they've been humiliated. There's no way this guy survives. And the fact that this is all based on documentation like text messages, two dozen interviews, and diary entries, it's indisputable. His judgment is horrific. And if you're going to put yourself at risk like this and women at risk, you're going to put the people of Maine at risk. And there's no way Maine is going to tolerate a guy like that. Well, so far they are. So far all any Democrat has done, at least the upper levels of the parties, double down on this guy. All they care is that they get a warm Democrat body in that main Senate seat. If that's all they have to work with, is that guy? They're going to work with them. Big win for President Trump as he slept, 52 to 47 vote in the Senate. which passes $70 billion worth of reconciliation to fund immigration operations through 2029. The only no vote, Alaska's Riesel Lisa Murkowski, at least on the Republican side. The House now gets this. Lisa Murkowski and three other Republican senators, including Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins, voted also to block the Save America Act. Missouri Republican Eric Schmidt calls it ridiculous.

There was a bipartisan commission 20 years ago. The Carter-Baker commission that said, hey, here are the 10 things you can do to make sure our elections are secure. California is violating almost all of those now out of raw power play. And speaking of California, we're still waiting on the results of Tuesday's primary. They're not required to release daily updates. So each county releases results. they feel like it. There's no real deadline to finish the counter to tell people what the votes are. They have about a month to finish. And in the last 24 hours, only 3% more of the vote came in. Fox's Jesse Waters, Steve Hilton, and Spencer Pratt remain in position to advance to November. Thanks to Hilton and Pratt's success. Many political analysts say the tide in California is turning. But Jennifer Kelly, who used to be with the California GOP, says, hey, remember. 70% voted Democrat this week. When you narrow it down to two candidates, a Republican and a Democrat, it is going to be much harder for the Republican to win because most folks are going to coalesce behind the Democrat candidate. Closer to home, new polling shows 35% of Texans believe there is some voter fraud going on. I know the 24% think there's a lot of it. Another 30% believe there's none, and it shows the divide and trust for our elections. And also that we have a lot of work to do in inspiring confidence in the election process. Josh Finlay, the TPPF, says we don't know the true amount of election fraud ongoing, but really how much doesn't matter. You've got 30% of the people thinking that there is some sort of fraud in an election. That's a number that's just too high to be acceptable, even if the reality is much lower. Trust can only be regained by fixing and preventing the fraud through law. Andre Parrard, News Radio 740, KTRH. The latest darling of the radical left is scrambling to save his campaign this morning. There are some allegations in this piece that I just want to be kind of unequivocal about are simply not true. Maine's Graham Platner on MS now as a liberal newspaper makes serious accusations. Several women told the New York Times, Graham Platner was a toxic boyfriend who struggled often with alcohol. The Times says it spoke with multiple women who said that Graham Platner could be charismatic and charming. They also recalled in interviews, but demeaning to women. And in at least one case, even physically threatening, he drank heavily and regularly was unfaithful. Mark Meredith, reporting the main primary is on Tuesday. 704, President Trump remains confident about getting a deal with Iran. The main parts of the deal is that can't have a nuclear weapon. The strait will open immediately. He says the U.S. will win the war one way or another. Dow futures are up this morning. Oil futures are down to 92, a barrel. And by the way, we will get the jobs numbers from May coming up at 7.30. It's 705. Texas Governor Greg Abbott updates the situation this morning, but a case of screw worm is confirmed in the Lone Star State. The Texas Farm Bureau says they've been preparing for the arrival of the New World Screw Worm Fly, which has been detected here for the first time in decades. The industry in Texas represents billions of dollars, and it is compromised if certain efforts are not undertaken. So soon, Gary Jainer, says they're telling ranchers to double down on the inspection of their herds. The fly lays eggs in open wounds and left untreated can cause death within days. The single case is already affecting cattle futures, which have been struggling due to record low herd size.

That is KTRH's Michael Board. Hundreds are petitioning for more lifeguards to be hired by Surfside Beach after the drowning of an 11-year-old last month. Officials are adding public safety measures, and alderman Jonathan Gerber says the council voted unanimously to approve funding for AquaSearch Rescue. Where we really don't have the resources, they can help us to have the boots on the ground and the boats in the water to make sure everybody comes back safe. He also told us at KTRH that council voted unanimously to work with Aqua Search and Rescue. A 17-year-old is arrested for the fatal shooting of another teen at home in a wind lids yesterday. Investigators initially called the shooting accidental, but now have arrested Easton Spockley and charged him with criminally negligent homicide. I'll say what, the price of flood insurance has got a lot of folks around here singing the blues. 723 now here in Houston's Morning News. We're joined by Rich Johnson Insurance Council of Texas. So we're number one in the entire country for canceled flood insurance policies. And I'm guessing it's all about the price. Well, thanks for having me. I think it's a couple things. Yes, price. I think people are just looking for ways to save money right now and it comes to food and gas prices and just housing prices in general. But I also think it's catastrophe amnesia. We forget a lot. We forget that just six or seven years ago, we had Hurricane Barrel, or I mean the Hurricane Harvey that came in and flooded Houston. And it's really concerning because we were already vastly, vastly underinsured when it comes to flood in Texas anyway. We were already in the single percentage digits in most parts of Texas when it comes to people who actually had flood insurance in the first place. So it's concerning. I'll disagree with you just a little bit in that I think people still remember Harvey. It's been almost nine years, but they still remember Harvey. That's a hard storm to forget. But we've gotten to the point. I'll give you, I'll just use myself an example. We have a place in Freeport that is one row off, one row off the ocean. And our flood insurance is about $3,800 a year. Plus.

Another $3,800 a year for wind and hail insurance, plus the regular homeowners policy. There's nothing selling down there right now because people can't afford their insurance payments. Yeah, I agree. I think it's a lot of those things combined. And, you know, when talking about flood insurance, those are all rates and things that are set by the federal government. As we know, FEMA manages the flood insurance. But you're right. Everything else is going up. And we've seen, we have seen it flattened when it comes to the private market over the last two years. We had huge. Pretty large spikes following COVID 2021, 2022, for varying reasons, the economy, supply chain, labor issues when it comes to cost to rebuild. But, you know, the big thing is, you know, you talk about, you know, being several rows off the ocean, we keep building in places that are high risk areas. And we need to figure out ways to create public policy about how we're going to rebuild and how we're going to build. You know, whether it's fortified roofs up in the Dallas and San Antonio and Austin area when it comes to hail, because that's actually the biggest claim that happens here in Texas, or how we rebuild or develop on the coast when it comes to being fortified when it comes to hurricanes and wind. Because that's what's driving up costs is the claims. When insurance companies and FEMA and TWA are paying out more. in claims than they're taking in premiums, that's an issue as well. How is the competition? Because competition always brings down prices at least a little bit as well. How many insurance companies do we have dealing with these particular issues here in Texas? And is it a fewer than we had a decade ago, for example? No, it's actually increasing. There's been very few companies that have actually left Texas. If they did leave, they were smaller. And actually, they were related. We had a couple in the past couple of years, but they were related to insolvency issues in Florida. So, which you don't want. You don't want your insurance companies insolvent. You want them to be able to pay. We have roughly 200 companies. that write home insurance and a total of 400 companies are more that do business in Texas in general. Okay. All right. So is there anything that you can see in the future that might drive down the price of things like flood insurance and the wind inhale insurance? Or is this just something, this is just the new normal. They cost more to build or rebuild. This is just something we're going to have to face for the future. Well, I think it is something that we're going to have to face for the future. I mean, as property values increase, you know, we all want the value of our homes to increase, and along with that, your insurance is going to increase. But there are a couple things, like I talked about, thinking of ways that we can make our homes and our buildings and the way we build more resilient. They need to be fortified. They need to be...

uh you know whether it's wildfire or hail or wind or flood they're building things that you can do and their modifications to your home that you can make that reduce those claims because that's what's driving up costs and the other thing is uh you know something that we're really working on right now is is tort reform or lawsuit abuse um you know we see every You know, every couple hundred yards on a freeway, we see a lawyer that, that, you know, wants, wants to get a piece of your insurance claim. For the second time in two days, House GOP members defied the president more than a dozen voted with Dems to give more military money to Ukraine. All these Republicans voting to send more money to Ukraine. It's unbelievable. All the Democrats and from what I counted, 19 Republicans wrote for it. I'm right. Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins on X, and then there's China fueling opposition to our data centers while building up their own. A new report from the Bitcoin Policy Institute details a multi-year influence effort by China to oppose new data centers and AI development in the U.S. Author and China expert, Gordon Chang, says we've seen evidence of this already. China is fueling some of the protests against data centers. And some of these protests are not organic. They're funded by the Communist Party or its intermediaries. China is behind the U.S. and AI, and they're looking for every advantage to use against us. And they have help from the American left.

Senator Bernie Sanders and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced a bill to freeze all construction of data centers in the U.S. Corey Olson, News Radio 740, KTRH. According to your reports, former Trump National Security Advisor, John Bolton, is going to plead guilty to mishandling classified material. FBI director Kash Patel telling News Nation... Everything in this case was done by the book. Whether or not he pleads guilty, like any other defendant charges in this country is entirely up to him. So we'll see what he decides to do. But there's been a sufficiency of credible evidence to make that charge. And now he will have his day in court. John Bolton faces a fine of more than $2 million and up to five years in prison. It's 734. There is more leftist obstruction to President Trump's immigration agenda. Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego wants to overturn immigration law that requires an applicant to leave the U.S. when applying for a green card so they can finish out the process abroad. Breitbart's Bob Price says the bigger the criminal, the more the Democrats feel bound to defend them. They continuously place criminal illegal aliens' interests above those of U.S. citizens who they are sworn to protect. About the FBI. 738 is our time here in Houston's morning news. You know, everybody knows the FBI's 10 most wanted, right? Criminals. Ten most wanted. Well, now evidently at the suggestion of the vice president, the FBI is going to have a 10 most wanted list for fraudsters. They want to publicize who these people are. With their, you know, all the stats that they put out for the criminals, well, fraudsters are criminals. So you know what they stole, how much they stole, what they look like, what their names are. Here's the story, and it begins with Kash Patel. talking about where they got the idea from. Importantly for the FBI, and thanks to Vice President JD Vance's vision, he had an idea. He said, hey, you guys have a top 10 most wanted list for all gangbangers, terrorists, narco-traffickers, murderers, and rapists around the world. How about we have a top 10 list for most wanted fraudsters? So, Mr. Vice President, thanks to your vision, we're here to deliver, and you see it here today. It is live officially on the FBI website. I want all Americans to take a look at these most wanted individuals and look at the amounts, the tens of millions and billions of dollars in fraud that they have decimated our societies from. We rely on you. Our best form of information is the American public. Take a look at this top 10 most wanted. Let us know any information. There is no bad piece of information. The only bad piece of information is the one you don't give us. Well, first, thank you to an administration that actually cares about people that are ripping off taxpayers. And we're finally having accountability for all of these different programs throughout the federal government where people for probably decades have been ripping off taxpayers and stealing millions and billions of dollars in these different programs, from burrito stands registered as hospices in California to child welfare in Minnesota, to Medicare fraud, to all these different areas of fraud. And thankfully, we have an administration that's finally focusing on that. going after people that are ripping off the tax paper. So the Trump administration also today decertified Hawaii State Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. It brought in zero, no indictments in four years, even as Medicaid spending went up nearly 30%. So what do you make of the administration decertifying Hawaii State Medicaid Fraud Control Unit? It means they're going to cut off federal funding to that unit. It was given millions of dollars annually. That is the only way that we will be able to control these states that are allowing fraud to happen in their states is by cutting off federal funding. You start cutting federal funding to all of these different programs and all of these states that are doing nothing to actually go after the fraud that are doing nothing to actually administer these programs in a way that is prudent to the taxpayer, then absolutely. That is how you're going to get to the bottom of doing away with the fraud in these states. That is Florida Representative Greg Stuby, by the way.

Well, I like the Crown Vic a lot, but my favorite one was the Ford Interceptor. I think that was the perfect car. But Jason had a different view. He liked the Chevrolet, so he did two Chevroletes before he died. Tell me. Tell me about Vintage HBD. What is Vintage HBD all about? I know that was his passion, but what got him behind the idea of buying old cop cars and restoring them? Well, he went to Los Angeles for a vacation and he saw a parade with old LA police cars in a line, like years and years and years of them. And he thought, well, how come we don't do that in Houston? And so he came home and he talked to me about it. He said, Dad, you know, we don't take care of our history. We need to have a history of HPD and vehicles. And I think I want to start a nonprofit and get some money together and restore cars. And I said, well, that's a great idea. A lot of people are going to agree with that, but nobody's going to give you money unless you do some. like you produce a restored police car, so people will see that you are able to do what you say you're going to do. And so he did. He bought two of them. He bought a 1996 Chevy Capri, which was the first one. I believe it was originally sold to a law enforcement agency in Washington State. And he brought it home, painted it up, did all the research, and that was our 90s model. And then later on, he bought an 88 Capri also, and that became our 80s model. So his plan was to have one per decade. So recently we've been able to scrounge up enough money, and we've bought a Ford Interceptor, which will be debuted this weekend at our fund run. It's our first annual fundraising fund run for HPD. It's going to be at John Paul Landing Park in Cyprus. Okay. Is it too late to sign up for it, or can you still do that?

It is not. If people want to sign up, pre-register, they can go online at Vintage HPD to our website and sign on, sign up. Or you can come out and just sign up at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning. Or if you don't even want to run, you can just come out and watch the fun and cheer people on. It'll be a great time. And we use them for parades and events and parties and anybody that's interested in HPD that would like to have a car come out there. We do it. And it's a great way to show the history of HPD in its vehicles. Awesome. For example, the 96 has one of the first computers that we had, and Jason found that on eBay for $25. Wow. Wow. It actually has an old HPD report in it stuck in its memory. You all have to let us know when you get an Andy from Mayberry, you know, early 1960s cop car. I'd love to see that.
