It's that time. Lock and load. The Michael Derry Show is on the air. Strong words from U.S. Senator John Courtney out of Texas, the Republican says former President Donald Trump can't win the 2024 general election for president. John Cornyn's saying, I think President Trump's time is passed by. Are you saying don't vote for Donald Trump? You know, it's too important to gamble. I do think it's very important that we have a candidate who can win in 2024, and I'm not sure President Trump is that candidate. You've said that you think it's time for the Republican Party to move on from President Trump. You know, in politics, unless you can win an election, you're pretty much irrelevant. The senator didn't say who he intends to support. What he didn't? Double down on who he believes the Republican Party should not nominate. And that is former President Donald Trump. Poor men told Fox 26, he won't be supporting former President Trump, and neither should other Republicans. You're so vain. You probably think this song is a fight.

3:26

I can tell you that I've worked with John Cornyn, who is up for reelection a number of times on a number of pieces of legislation. He's actually not been the worst Republican that you can find in the Senate, to be perfectly honest. I know Republicans voters, and as I said earlier, really it's a question of who bothers to show up. If only the most radical people show up in the primary, then I think that's going to be a challenge. Texas Senator John Cornyn to negotiate with Democrats to see if there is a compromise to be reached. John Cornyn joins a bipartisan group of senators who say they will work on the issue throughout the Memorial Day recess. I expect there will be an informed debate about reforms we can make. And I look forward to participating in those discussions. I've been working for more than three years on a red flag statute that seems now to have met its moment. Senator John Cornyn, conservative like you.

5:00

Now, there are some Republicans, including former President Trump, who are ripping this and ripping you as well. The deal on gun control currently being structured and pushed in the Senate by the radical left Democrats, with the help of Mitch McConnell, Rino, Senator John Katie Porter, Texas, and others will go down in history as the first step in the movement to take your guns away. The wall, I have to tell you, Tucker Carlson, is not going to stop illegal immigration. A wall is an immorality. What we need is a virtual border. Do you giant wall? From sea to shining sea makes no sense whatsoever. You're so vain. Well, this is the Super Bowl for me. This is the Super Bowl for me. This is the nerd problem. This is it. I look forward to this day more than you can imagine. I love it. I love the idea because I hate polls. I think polls, I know polls, can be and almost always are manipulated. At best, a poll is inaccurate. At worst, a poll is simply a manipulated result intended to deceive. But today, oh sure, there'll be some fraud on the Democrat side. Some of our people are so upset and have been so beleaguered by fraud at the polling location and in the process that they are determined that our people are being cheated by the Democrats. If there's any cheating going on, it has to be done by the Republicans. It's our primary. It's just Republicans. Now, the Democrats do cheat. They cheat in their own primary. And there will be some cheating. in the Democrat primary, and there will be complaints about it. If James Talarico does not win today, and Jasmine Crockett does, there will be discussion as to whether there was fraud in Harris County. And I assure you there will have been fraud in Harris County. There is about 100% chance that Rodney Ellis' operation will be put into full effect. Rodney Ellis is big in the Jasmine Crockett. family in the Jasmine Crockett camp. He has not had a U.S. senator in his back pocket. He's had the county judge, the county government, all the countywide elected officials. He's had all of that. But he has not had a U.S. Senator. And he'd really like to have a U.S. Senator. And this is his shot. He's in. He was not in like this with Beto. He's not been in like this before at this level with this ability. And we're going to see some black girl magic at the polls today. There is a push. Now, there is a, there's a site that does markets that kind of takes that takes.

8:19

The likelihood of things happening. It's like a gambling site, but it's for things other than football. Don't tell Mack because he'll be putting money on you get everything free. If Jasmine Crockett wins or something, he loves to gamble. But it's called Kalshi or Kalshi. And their odds, which are usually pretty good, have jumped 18% that Talariko wins from 67 to 85. Of course, what you can't know in a situation like this is who's going to show up. Who's going to show up and vote? Will it rain? How much the Iran bombings will affect it? How much the Austin shooting will affect the Austin turnout? Will the turnout be urban or will it be suburban or will it be rural? Will it be white or will it be black? White Democrats will quietly vote for James Talarico. And blacks will excitedly vote for Jasmine Crockett. There is absolute segregation in the Democrat Party. That's the way it works. And I don't believe there's any room left for a white liberal. I want James Talarico to lose. I want every white people to confront the fact that you have no place in the Democrat Party, that you are a second-class citizen, that your only role is to apologize. for being white and your white privilege, no matter if that person is rich and you're poor. That is your job. Your job is to empower and defend and enable the fraud that is the Democrat Party, and you're not part of the leadership. So chances are James Talarico wins, but boy, wouldn't it be delightful. Polls opened at 7. They are open until 7 today. I would encourage you to go in early this evening. We'll be busy.

10:06

The polls are open today, 7A to 7P. I encourage you to go early this morning, if at all possible, because it will be crowded the later the day goes. And I'm telling you now that's what's going to happen. And I'm going to hear from some of you. It's ridiculous. Ma'all out here. They didn't give us room to it. It's a long line. And over here and there's so many people and going so slow. Okay. All right. What are you? One of my kids? Is that really what we're doing? Okay. Yeah. All of that is true. But you know, I walked in and walked out. You know, Mr. Self-righteous, me, you know that righteous feeling you get when you go to bed early? There's a lot of people that go to bed early crowd gets very righteous because if we're on Facebook and they're in, okay, all right, well, it's all right, but I'm going to bed. I'm going to bed. I'm going to bed. I'm going to bed. We don't live together or anything. I'm not waiting on you to bring me some ice cream. You don't have to tell me. You can just go to bed quietly. Oh, but I'm going to bed there. They're doing a good boy. Going to bed. Or would people work out? Especially early morning workout people. Or they come home and instead of getting plastered, they work out before dinner. You know who's the worst about that? Who's the absolute worst about that? You know who it is? Who would you guess it is? I'm not going to say his name. The person that I know well. No, Petru never brags about working out because he's working out all day. Who would you think of? Who is obsessed with body weight and fit? No, Chad would never tell you he's worked out even though he works out more than anybody you know. You know another healthy person. He's very healthy. He's older. He's 70. Looks like he's about 30. No, not damn Pastor Rainey, you fool. He's 87. This person is a workout fiend. He's very fit and he's very judging of fat people. No, not Holmes. Are you intentionally getting this wrong? Gosh, you were horrible. Okay, this person, I've told you this before. This person puts in his day, works hard, and then goes home and tells everybody on his way home that he's going home to work out. And then he gets home and he works out intensely. And then he eats a very healthy meal. And then he probably sends some text messages he's worked out. And he has a vodka because he doesn't know his hat. No, not Jonathan Kim. Are you trolling me right now? You've got to be trolling me. No, not. Jonathan Kim works out more than any. Jonathan Kim's ratio of amount of working out to how much he brags about working out is like he does it the least of anybody you know. This person is very judging of people who are not extremely fit and very righteous about his working out. And, I mean, you know, look, it works. I mean, you can look at him. You can see it works. Good for him. What are you got? No. Nothing? No, not Mac. Mac never talks about work. I'm not sure Mac does work out. I'm not sure Mac needs to. Do you realize how many steps he probably gets in a day? It's a lot. Well, I'm not going to say this person's name. I will just leave you, for those of you who know.

13:35

to suspect who it is. But when you talk about people that love to tell you about their workout, this person loves to tell you about their workout more than anyone else. I'll give you three hints. Don't say it. They are from east of the Sabine. Let's start there. Yes. Of course. How did you overlook that? Man, you already forgot that person. Wow. Well, he did go on. He went on to bigger things. I'm not sure they've turned out to be better because he has to live on the road now. And that's supposed to keep you free and clean, but no, that's not, that turns out not to be a good thing. I wish he hadn't had done that, but that's the way it is. You want to hear the robocall of Kamala Harris for Jasmine Crockett, clip number eight? This is hard for people to believe, but the expectation is that there are some people in our state who live among us who get a phone call. And it's Kamala Harris telling them who to vote for, and they do that. If, in fact, that is true, can you imagine how stupid that person is? Here's your sign. You got a robocall from Kamala Harris, and you took that advice. Hi, this is Kamala Harris, and I'm calling to encourage you to please go vote for my friend Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary today, Friday, February 27th, or on Election Day, Tuesday, March 3rd. Texas has the chance to send a fighter like Jasmine Crockett to the United States Senate. Oh, yeah. Jasmine has the experience and record. Okay, hold on, wait, what? Whoa, whoa, whoa. What experience does she have? Honestly. What experience does she have? She has the experience and a record. What record does she have? Exactly. Maybe Al Green let's stay together. That's a record I could be behind. What record does she have? Rewind and listen to that little bit. Third, Texas has the chance to send a fighter like Jasmine Crockett to the United States Senate. Jasmine has the experience and record to hold Donald Trump and his billionaire cronies accountable. Yeah. But Jasmine can only do it if people like you vote early. People like you. Today, Friday, February 27, or on Election Day, Tuesday, March 3rd. It's time to turn Texas blue. Yeah. And I thank you. Please take care. Bye-bye. Please take care by Jasmine for Texas. Please take care. And by the way, in addition, all is take care, okay? I wouldn't really plan on taking care. Please do. Well. I was just going to kind of be, no, no, no, please, please, please do take care. Please do, do take care. I care about you. Jasmine cares about you. We've had Republicans for too long. We need Democrats. And you look at, look at how well Democrats are done with California.

16:35

Look at how well Democrats have done in New York, and now we've got Zohran Mamdani. Look at how well Democrats have done in Chicago with the schools and the crime. Look at how well Democrats have done in Mogadishu, Minnesota. We need that for Texas. We got to have that. We could turn Texas blue. That's right. What's the thrill of turning Texas blue? What are Democrats going to do that Republicans aren't going to do? Think about this for a moment. The problem is they will at some point pick off a statewide. They haven't won a statewide since 94. They will. And it won't be until that happens that a lot of people will go, holy hell. I got to get back engaged. And that's, you know, spring training, you know, get back into shape. Welcome to a special edition of BET's Home Shopping Network. Now here's our special guest, Jasmine Crockett. Hello. All right. All right, shout out February for the R stands for reparations. It's all month, baby. Hell yeah. Y'all listen, as we all know, it's Black History Month, okay? And your girl, Jazzy, is a big part of the Black History. So right now, for a limited time only, I'm giving to you my future constituents. That's a big word for people that vote for me. I'm giving you the chance to own a piece of Black History. Now, I want you to close your eyes for a minute. And imagine owning the actual handwritten notes from Martin Luther King Jr.'s, I have a dream speak. Now, we don't have that. But I do have something that's just as relevant for 42 easy payments at $29.99, baby. You can own the very wig I was wearing in my sending announcement video. Leave in a week. Hey. Y'all look here, this one's forever budget. And a big part of my black history is coming Valentine's Day for you men. And you women, you'll be seeing the future is bright. When I send you my four-inch eyelash extensions, I've done war on the late show, baby. Now, finally, something for both sides. Look here, 220's gets you two honeies, baby. A framed picture of yours truly and my personal friend John Wayne McCona. signed by the both of us. Look at him with his big cowboy hat. So serious. All right, y'all, hurry up and bid on these items. It's a blackout sale. Only good during February. Y'all better act somebody. What a treat or what a treat. Joyce, the Sage of Sunnyside. Welcome to the program, sweetheart. Good morning, Michael. And audience. You know, I'm listening about voting, and I hear people saying that there's no fraud, but if anybody out that think it's no fraud in the voting situation, ask a lady that who worked the polls for years, and she can tell you about some voter fraud, that's joy.

19:30

Okay, Michael. I wanted to work the polls so bad. And years ago, so I asked a young man that was already involved, and I said, how do I get involved? And he told me how I got involved. So my first day there, and I'm a Democrat at the time, my first day there, Democrats and Republicans didn't vote on the same machine. So I walked in green as grass. And it's just one machine. I said, where is the Republican machine? They said, it's in the background. We are meeting put it up. That happened in Sunnyside. And if it happened in Sunnyside at a black voting place, it happened all over this city. And that was wrong, but that happened. And I have witnessed so much wrongdoing working out the polls. Because I started as a clerk, but I ended up as a judge. And I have witnessed. the wrongdoing. And I went on one day and I reported at the headquarters and signed the affidavit, signed everything. And I'm still waiting on them to call me back. So that's what happened in this city, the fraud that takes place. The stuff I've witnessed is unreal. And if anybody remember... When Judah and Boney was in runoff with Sun to taste great, that just made me sick at that time. I just stopped working in Sunnyside. The people came in. They did not want to vote for Judas Bologna. I mean, Judah and Boney. And these people, I wasn't the judge at that time, they would not allow those people to vote for Sunday Chase Gray. They told her, no, don't vote for her. She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. If that happened in Sunnyside, Black Area, it happened all over this city. So if anybody know, if Sunday Chase Gray is still living, if anybody knows it, tell her she didn't lose that election. She is stolen. And so when I first wanted to work, a lady told me, she said, Joyce, there are elections that are not lost. Many of them are stolen. I live to see that day. And when it come time from Trump, they called me to be. a judge. I said, no, I've taken down the shingles. I am not going to work the polls anymore. I just got tired of seeing the wrongdoing, and I'd already reported it. So it wasn't any sense of me going down and reporting anymore. So I just stopped working the polls. And because I knew, I knew that it was not going to be honest with Trump running. So that's my thing about voting. It is so much fraud and to black voters. Comin sense ought to tell us, looking at our neighborhood, we are shot served and we are still, we're going today, we're going to vote Democrat. I go to church and there's a pastor up, crashing Trump and the audience, amen, glory to God. And I'm sitting there, so when are we going to learn?

22:33

They don't care anything about us, nothing but today for us to go and vote Democrat. They do not care anything about us. And I don't understand. I had my first time to walk into a black church and hear them vote, I mean, pray for Trump. It's always trash and Trump. And blacks, why do you think that they say that blacks don't have sense enough to get? The voter ID. We don't have sense enough to go and get... We all have. We have photo ID. We have photo ID. But that's what they think about. They say, it's going to keep blacks from voting because they don't have no, you know, your ID. Yes, we do. We got social security checks, and you sure couldn't go down there with a light bill. Because I saw that in working the polls. They come in with a white light bill. And if we tell them you can't vote with a light bill, they said, well, we're going to turn you in. So they turn us in. And so we would be on 13. That kind of foolishness. And it's just time out for the foolishness. And I don't understand how we, at this time in our lives that we can't see what's going on. And to black sisters and brothers, wake up and stop allowing the Democratic Party to use us for that vote. And then we are underserved in our communities. And just talking about blacks voting for Jasmine Crockett, you know, I'd listen to this woman for a while, and then somebody told me, this woman is a lawyer. I said, are you kidding me? She is a stone nutcase, just as gold, just as ghettoish as she can be. And blacks are going to the polls because that's Jasmine Crockett. I wouldn't vote for Jasmine Crockett to be the head of Dog King. That's how what I feel about her. So that's all I have to offer today. Joyce, we love you. Thank you. Please. Please. Come on. Come on a second. Please. Show Michael Barry. John Wayne McCornan. He once balanced the budget at home with his wife when he enters a room. He's there. He once started a fire, just so he could fight another fire. Mosquitoes refused to bite him out of respect for his best good friend Donald J. Trump. He's never been lost. He just navigates the political wins like Magellan. Lobbyists declare him on their tax returns as a dependent. He doesn't drain the shrunk. He is the swamp. John Cornyn. He's one of us. John Cornyn in one of us. Paul, you're on the Michael Bari Weiss Show. Go ahead, sir. Paul, you're on the Michael Bari Weiss Show. Go ahead, sir.

26:11

Hey, Michael? Yeah. Yeah. It's always tough following Joyce. I mean, everybody, everybody that comes after Joyce will just sounds like a putz. She is so good. Paul, help me understand something. I'm not criticizing. I want to understand this because it happens a lot. It took you a while to come on the line after I called for you. Did you have us muted or? No, I was actually. I'm in my garage doing gardening work. And you know how it is when you're on hold with you guys. You never know when you're going to pop up. And generally you go, you speak after the commercial after the break. And so I was thinking, you know, I hope he doesn't go straight to callers because I'm kind of on the other side of the room. And so you did. That's right. Okay. Yeah. What gardening are you doing? I do blackberries. I have apples. I have vegetable gardens. Generally, as little flowers as possible. Generally, herbs and strawberries I have. So yeah, it's a bunch of stuff. Do you grow any of them in pots? I try not to. No, I have everything in the garden. Unless I'm starting them from scratch. Like I have a hydrange it that I have in a pot, a little bit of pot just to get going. And my strawberries I have in a pot because I want them off the ground. There's too many little varmits that like to nibble on the strawberries when they're on the ground. How many strawberries do you think would be your annual yield? Two. Not very many. Probably a handful only last year. was my first year of strawberries. And I had some... What about blueberries? No blueberries. But blackberries, I got umpteen blackberries. I had enough for a guy down the street to make some blackberry wine. I made a blackberry cobbler. Once you get a crop going with berries like raspberries or blackberries, after a while, it's like what can I make with it? I've got so much. I've got to get rid of it. You know, it's such a silly thing, Paul, but it's so real. when we can all buy what you have there, very cheap and easy at the local grocery store. But there's just something nice about, you know, when your neighbor grows something and they share it with you. There's just something nice. It feels wholesome. I have $50 worth of tomato plants. Right. Well, how many, how many tomatoes can I buy for $50? Right, right. And even potatoes. I grow potatoes. They're fun to grow, but. you know, potatoes are so cheap. What's the use, right? So taking your point, it's, it's just fun to do and see them coming out of the ground and then harvesting them and you pull out of tomato or a potato out of the ground and it's like, hey, I do this thing. Are you retired? Yes. Are you married? Yes. And what is my? She, uh, she, uh, she, uh, keeps the house, um, and, uh, she dances. Uh, so she,

29:05

She's a ballroom dancer, so she keeps her pretty busy. Do you do any ballroom dancing? Oh, no, no, no, no. I learned long ago that I'm not coordinated enough to do that sort of thing. And what did you do in your career? I was a quality manager for a couple of companies. Anybody I know? To Sheba. Okay. And then you retired at what age? You sound really young. I retired at 67.5. And how old are you now? A 68. Okay, you sound really young. Oh, thank you. And the gardening, are you out gardening seven days a week? I try to, yeah. And how old were you when you got into that? Oh, I was probably 40s. I had a garden at the other house we moved from. I was probably 40, 45. And for people who don't understand how people like you get this into it, what does it do for you? It gives me something to do, first of all. I enjoy seeing things grow and look forward to making them grow. Like I have apples, and they're kind of difficult around here to grow. And you have to have to baby them along to get apples to grow. And just being able to harvest stuff like I have asparagus that's already eaten some asparagus. I mean, that stuff just jumps out of the ground very early in the year. and just be able to say, hey, I grew that. It tastes so much better than at the store, so much more tender and stuff. Yeah, it's just a sense of satisfaction that I have grapes that I also grow and I make wine out of them. How much space do you have? How big is your lot? I want to two acres, but one acre is trees. My garden is like 100 lineal feet. Okay. Do you have any pecan trees? No. Oh, that's too bad. I love the place. I do, too. But I had a peach tree, and as a matter of fact, while I was on hold, I checked it out. And it's DEA-D dead. So I'm going to have to plant a new tree there. You know what, hold on. I was watching Chris Shepard does that eat like a local show. Have you seen that? So he did last week he did. Hold on just a second, Paul. He did, I'm telling Ramon. He did. Belleville Meat Market and pizza fried meats, two of our favorites. And both of them are, one of them is using mesquite also, but both of them are using pecan, which surprise, you use a lot of pecan? It's sweeter. Do you use a lot of pecan? Pinkerton? Oh, that's who does. Yeah, that's what made me think of that. Okay. It just surprised me that two different people, separate interviews, and both are using pecan, and it was for Belleville, it was because that's what they were telling the rivers there in between, and they had some pecan there. I think they also used some mesquite as well. But it surprised me that there was so much pecan in one episode. It's two really good interviews. I'm not the biggest Chris Shepard fan, but. Uh, he is. But, um, there's, the, the, the two interviews are fantastic. It's Belleville meat market first, and he sits down with the puff and burgers. And then, uh, and then it's Pete's Fine Meets, who, who you're good friends with. In both of them, he really kind of highlights the stuff that you, that you would take for granted, you know, all the things they do on site, the special stuff they do. Like, Pete's Fine Meets.

32:35

They make their own hams, and they do their, like they do a club sandwich in the back, and all the stuff that they do, everything that's pickled there, they're pickling it. They're not buying stuff and bringing it in. They're actually making that stuff. And in 2026, kind of like what Paul's talking about, that's pretty darn cool. Paul, can you hold with us for just a moment? Sure, can. All right, I wanted to get to your point, but I still have some more questions about your garden. Where are you? Where are you located? In between Magnolia and Montgomery. Oh, yeah. So there's a little community Dobbin. Oh, yeah, Dobbin. You're the second Dobbin call we've had in the week. That's me. That's me. I called you earlier. Oh, okay. All right, hold on. Our little podcast is the podcast that could, the little engine that could. You know, when we started, it was just a simple rebroadcast of our show. and they would take it over and put it on this new podcast platform. I didn't think anything of it. Before long, we started hearing from people all over the country where we don't air on the radio in the town where they are. And I would say, well, how are you hearing us? Did you find us online? And they say, no, I was on a podcast or, as happens for more than anything else. Somebody sent me an email and say, hey, check out this podcast. He's from Houston, talks a lot about Texas, but talks about national stuff, and I think you'll like him. And that's how our little podcast grew to be one of the top in the country. It's pretty cool. And so we have show sponsors on the radio. We have show sponsors on the podcast. One of them's a good buddy of mine. His name is Ray Breyers, and he owns The Pipyard Inc. And what he does on his cell phone is people call and go, hey, I got a 118 mile pipeline going through Louisiana into Mississippi. And he says, all right, let me go check it out. He goes out. He rips that pipe out of the ground all the way. And he goes off and sells that to somebody else who needs the pipe. It's a beautiful process. And people call him all from our show, from our podcast, all over the country. Thepipeyard, inc.com. 409-788 pipe. 409-88 pipe. Talk to Ray, the pipe man, my good buddy. Turns out, at least according to my urologist, that all that talk about taking testosterone is bad for your prostate. That was based on one study that's been debunked. But you know what? Don't trust me. Do your own reading. Cross-reference. Learn more. Go to fixmylowtie.com. That's synergenics. That's who I use for my testosterone replacement. It makes me energetic. It makes me happy. I lost some belly fat out of it, which was really nice. And yes, it does that too. Fix my lowtie.com. I get the nicest emails from listeners of our podcast and our show who say they called Petru in Home Fitness and it changed their lives. They were able to get off their walker. They were able to get out of their wheelchair. They're into their 90s and they're going to be able to walk their granddaughter down the aisle. They're going to be able to stand. They're going to be able to walk. They're going to be able to move around. Petru in-home fitness comes to your home. You don't need a gym. They can bring bands with them. They want to get you back up and stronger for life. Petru in Home Fitness.
