This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Our little podcast is the podcast that could, the little engine that could. You know, when we started, it was just a simple rebroadcast of our show, and they would take it over and put it on this new podcast platform. I didn't think anything of it. Before long, we started hearing from people all over the country where we don't air on the radio in the town where they are. And I would say, well, how are you hearing us? Did you find us online? And they say, no, I was on a podcast. Or, as happens for more than anything else, somebody sent me an email, say, hey, check out this podcast. He's from Houston, talks a lot about Texas, but talks about national stuff, and I think you'll like him. And that's how our little podcast grew to be one of the top in the country. It's pretty cool. And so we have show sponsors on the radio. We have show sponsors on the podcast. One of them's a good buddy of mine. His name is Ray Breyer's. And he owns the Pipeyard Inc. And what he does on his cell phone is people call and go, hey, I got a 118 mile pipeline going through Louisiana into Mississippi. And he says, all right, let me go check it out. He goes out. He rips that pipe out of the ground all the way. And he goes off and sells that to somebody else who needs the pipe. It's a beautiful process. And people call him all from our show, from our podcast, all over the country. Thepipeyard, inc.com. 409-788 pipe. 409-78 pipe. Talk to Ray, the pipe ma'amma, good buddy. Turns out, at least according to my urologist, that all that talk about taking testosterone is bad for your prostate. That was based on one study that's been debunked. But you know what? Don't trust me. Do your own reading. Cross-reference. Learn more. Go to fixmylowtie.com. That's synergenics. That's who I use for my testosterone replacement. It makes me energetic. It makes me happy. I lost some belly fat out of it, which was really nice. And yes, it does that too. FixMylowt.com. Our show works because people like-minded who share values support other people. like-minded who share values. It's that time. Lock and load. The Michael Vary Show is on the air. Election Day. Every two years, every state rep in the state of Texas, every congressman in the U.S. Congress, the lower house, the House of Representatives, is up for election. Every six years, one-third of the senators in the state of Texas, and one-third of the U.S. senators across the country are up for election. That is a six-year term. Those are all even number elections. Every four years, there is a presidential election as every quadrenial. In 2020, 2016, of course, Trump is elected. 2020, the election was stolen. 2024, he wins again. In between those four-year elections, where turnout is much higher because media coverage is much higher, There is what is known as a midterm. That is halfway through the term of the president. That's what we're at now. That will always be a lower voter turnout. Those are more engaged voters. So we had our Republican primary in March. And for those candidates who did not win. 51% of the vote because there was a crowded field. If there were two candidates, they would have to win 51. But because there were 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, a number of people in the race, they didn't get 51%. Now we go to a runoff 10 weeks later. In the meantime, we had school board elections. So it is perfectly understandable if you say, I'm confused, we're always voting. It's almost as if the system was designed for you to be confused, but we navigate this minefield because it's important. And so now we are in the runoff for that March primary, the two candidates who are left. This is the finals. That was the semifinals. Now we are in the position where we will choose our candidates as Republicans for who will go and vote, for who will be our candidate in November against the Democrats. We will wake up in the morning not having won a race that matters to us. That will be true for all of us, no matter what. somewhere across the state, someone that we wanted to win, will not have won. And that's okay. And we will be mad because the other side will be gloating because they're idiots. What they ought to be doing is bringing everyone together and graciously saying, yes, we won, but the victory is for the people. And we will win in November, and we want the other side to come and join us because you can't win in November unless you unite the party. Starting tomorrow, we will unite the party. We do it every time. We're big boys and girls. We don't. get our panties in a wad because we're not going to let the Democrats win. So there will be a number of people who will be angry if my candidate beats your candidate in a particular race, you're going to have to get over it. And you will be gloating because your candidate won in a particular race, that's fine too. Because I will support your candidate come November. That's what we do for the good of the country. All right. Who are you voting for? It's a lightning round. Let's play a lightning round game.

6:09

Be quick, be awesome. Leslie, you're up. Who you vote for? Shelly DeZavillis, Ken Paxton, and Mays Middleton. Andrew, who are you voting for? Michael Gootsman. That's it. Love you. Have a blessed day. Yes, sir. I didn't hear what he said at first. Okay. Sharon, you're up. Who you voting for? Ken Paxton, Middleton, French, and Thomas Smith. All right. I'm voting for all of those as well. Eric, who are you voting for? Okay. Ken Paxton, Mueller, Middleton. All right. 713-99-1,000. I said I would do some of the folks. Billy in Brazoria County writes, 73 years old, Texas-born white fellow. I'm voting for Ken Paxton and Middleton. 713-999-9-9-1,000, by the way, if you want to be on the line. Kenny Mungle, my friend at Kincoe, the bucket truck folks in Baytown, says I'm voting for Ken Paxton for the U.S. Senate, Middleton for Attorney General, and Alex Miller for the United States Congress. Marion writes. I'm in Lee County. I'm voting for Ken Paxton for Senate and Mays, Middleton for Attorney General. Cindy Melby writes, I'm in Liberty County. I'm voting for Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate and Middleton for Attorney General and Alex Mueller for the U.S. Congress. Tim Holt writes, I've noticed that John Cornyn and Roy sure have the support of Fox News. They have both been getting lots of FaceTime on the network. That is absolutely true, and there are reasons for that. And I think those are reasons that should be evident to most anybody watching. Bill, who are you voting for? Bill? And Don Hooper. Don Hooper for Harris County Party chairman. Wendy, who are you voting for? Ken Paxton and Middleton. D.B. Who are you voting for? That might be D.B. D.B.? D.B. How about this? We might not have the name right because Ramon's picking up the lines. If you can hear me right now, just tell who you're voting for. This is Deb and Lubb, Ken Paxton, and Mays. All right. CJ, who you're voting for? Kane and Mays and Ken Paxton. Right on. That's an interesting choice that you're for Ken Paxton and Briscoe Kane, considering Briscoe Kane led the impeachment against Ken Paxton after Ken Paxton had just been voted for. But it's your vote, not mine. Miss Gibbs, who are you voting for? I'm voting for Ken Paxton, Mays Middleton, and Beau French for the railroad commissioner. Right on, right on. That's going to be an interesting race because the establishment lined up.

9:14

behind his opponent, Jim Wright, and French has the grassroots and Jim Wright has the establishment. Very similar to the John Cornyn race. There's going to be a reckoning because the establishment does not like to be defeated. I will tell you that they do not like to be defeated. And they are going to meet tomorrow at expensive country clubs and start planning our demise. They do not like to be defeated. It's an investment gone bad. They're mad. Colleen, who are you voting for? Whoever the Houston Chronicle endorsed, I am not voting for any of those people. All right. Well, the Houston Chronicle endorsed Briscoe Cain for U.S. Congress. I'm voting for Alex Miller. The U.S. Congress endorsed, I mean, Houston Chronicle endorsed John Cornyn. I am voting for Ken Paxton. And I don't know, did they endorse? I don't know if they endorsed in the AG race. I'll check on that. I agree. That's a good standard for who to vote against. Dave, who you're voting for? Voted for Ken Paxton out of Willis. You're voting for Ken Paxton out of Willis? Is that what you said? Yeah, Willis, Texas, yeah. Right on. Where in Willis are you? I'm on Lake Conroe. We're listening to Doug Squack right now. Oh, how glorious is that? Looking at Lake Conroe. Yes, sir. It's cool right now. Man, I can tell you there's worse places to be. Listen to that bullcat way it says you want. Okay. I love it. The Michael Bari Weiss Show. The water just calms you down. Please quiet. Please quiet. Happy birthday to Bo Cephas today. As well as Dan Pasterini, number seven. Have they... Have they retired his jersey? You know, Kyle McNair loves Dan Pastorine. He has him in the suite with him. I know he's a fan. That would be cool. That would be very, very cool. All right, who are you voting for? 713-999-9-9-1,000. 713-999-1,000. Robert, who you voting for? Middleton, French. And Ken Paxton. And if I was in Liberty County, I'd vote six times. For whom? The same guys. Oh, I got you. Okay. Eddie, who you voted for? I'm going with Ken Paxton, Middleton, and Miller. Ken Paxton, Middleton, Miller. I can't vote for Mueller because I don't live in that district. But if I did, that's the slate I would vote for. But by the way, feel free to offer up whoever you want to vote for, even if you know that's not a candidate I'm supporting. Dale, who you vote for? I'm voting for Ken Paxton, Middleton, Boe French, and Tom Smith. And if I could, I'd vote Briscoe Kane and John Bunk. Right on.

12:21

713. Amy, who you vote for? 713. Ken Paxton Middleton. Ken Paxton, Middleton, it is. 713-999-9-9-1,000. John Wayne, born on this day. His daughter listens to our show. She's an attorney in Nashville. I don't know if she practices anymore. I think she said she doesn't practice much more. But any time I mention John Wayne, she always sends me a nice note. Would you say, Ramon, that John Wayne is the most recognizable Western film actor? You would? I agree. I'd put Eastwood at number two. It depends. It's a generational thing. It's hard to believe. I mean, think about the life in times of Wyatt Earp. We think of Wyatt Earp is ancient history. The Duke became good friends with Wyatt Earp. when Wyatt Earp was consulting on early westerns. John Wayne is said to have modeled, as what he said, his walk and his other mannerisms on Wyatt Earp. His idea was, just be like Wyatt Earp. That's authentic. John Wayne won an Oscar for his portrayal of U.S. Marshal Rooster Cogbrin in the film True Grit. By the way, Jeff Bridges did a great job on that remake. In this scene, Rooster Cogburn finally catches up to Ned Pepper, who's played by the great Robert Duvall, and tells him that his time is up. I'm looking for the man who shot and killed my father, Frank Ross, in front of the Monarch, boarding house. The man's name is Tom Chaney. They say he's over in Indian territory, and I need somebody to go after him. What's your name, girl? My name is Maddie Ross. We're located in Yale County. My mother's at home looking after my sister, Victoria, and my brother, little Frank. I'd best go home again. They will need help with the attorney. There's a fugitive warrant out for Cheney. The government will pay you $2 for bringing them in, plus 10 cents a mile for each of you. On top of that, I will pay you a $50 reward. What are you? What's you got there in your polk? One God, Coltsker a gun. You're no bigger than a corned nothing. What are you doing with a pistol like that? I intend to kill Tom Cheney with it. Kill Tom Cheney. I have a piece that'll do the job for you if you found the house still arrested on me and the wall is put behind you. Nobody here knew my father and I'm afraid nothing is going to be down about Cheney except I do it. My brother is a child and my mother is indecisement hog with my grief. Is it Jeff Bridges? Yeah, that's the Jeff Bridges for it. Tell Jim, he's put the wrong damn one in there. He looked up true grit, and we must have had true grit. Yeah, that's definitely not the... He doesn't even say, Pilgrim. You're burning daylight, Pilgrim. Born five years later, Jay Silver Hills, Canadian-American actor who died in 1980, who played Tonto. This was Tonto on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson interviewing him for a job. Now would you tell me, who was your last employer? Could I have that? I work 30 years as faithful sidekick for Kimmer Sabie. Hunt, fish, make food, sew close, sweep up, stay awake all night, listen for enemies for Kimisabi. Risk life for Kimisabi. 30 lousy years. This is me.

15:45

And, uh, for this, what was your salary? Salary. Salary? What salary? Well, your, your payment, something he gave you in exchange for your chores. Uh-huh. Once he must have me, let me peek on the mask. No big deal. But, uh, but no money. Hmm, see if a bullet's don't go on tumbleweed, huh? You got to buy them with Hunter Salary. Oh, I see. That's right. He was always giving away silver bullets. Silver this, silver that, high-ho, silver? Oh, Kimisabe, have precious metal. Hang-up. Yes. Only Carson, you're having Tonto on. What will we talk about? Let's interview him for a job. That'll be hilarious. Andrew, who are you voting for? Who am I voting for? I don't know. I just called in. I just felt compelled to call back because it's kind of the narrative you were saying about Be like Wyatt Earp and Rooster Cockburn. Yeah, hold on, Andrew. You forget how nutty that kid is. Susanna? Who are you voting for? Yes. I voted for Kent Coxson, Alex Miller, Mays, Middleton, and both French, Liberty, Texas. Right on. Dell, who are you voting for? Up here, we vote for Ken Paxton, Middleton, and Michael Bari Weiss in Medina, Texas. I love it. You know, I say this all the time. People say, do you miss running for office? You miss me. Listen, I have to win an election every day. It's a crowded field. People have 100 other things they can do. For them to tune in, that's a win for us every day. Ed, who you voting for? Jackson, Middleton, and French. Listen to Michael Barry every day. Thank you, brother. Ken, who you voting for? Ken Paxton, Middleton, and French. Right on. That Bo French win is going to be quite the treat because the establishment is very, very heavy behind Jim Wright. Don Huffin's winning the comptroller race was another one where the establishment said, oh, the Blake Moores and those people, oh, we'll just pick this guy over here. I love to see Alan Blakemore, Carl Rove, all the little insider cronies for these people get a smackdown. Because they go to their Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and they order their good wine and they each go over to each table. This is the most powerful man in all of America. Alan Blakemore, who's he having dinner with? Oh, the lieutenant governor. Look at him. People bow before him. And he gets his just ass cram down it. Oh, it makes me happy. These are good times, friends, good times.

18:36

reference on Jeopardy to a Canadian band. The band as a Canadian band. Well, Robbie Robertson was Canadian. But the heart and soul of that band was Arkansas. And that band started in Arkansas. That band is a southern band. Canadian band. That's in a one. What are you voting for? Andrew, go ahead. Yeah, you asked me that three times. Oh, yeah, you're still on hold. Yeah, that was the topic. You wait right there, you crazy little fellow. David, who you're looking for? Hello, Michael. I'm supporting a bit of a different option. I'm supporting an independent constitutionist for governor of Texas. Okay. Her name is Jen Mack Raffoon. And so, unfortunately, the laws of the state of Texas make it so I can't vote in a primary or runoff so I can sign her petition. So, but that's my vote, not participate in the primary, so I can have a better choice for governor. I will tell you that the only way to get Greg Abbott to do what you want him to do, is to put him in fear of losing otherwise. For those who pledge their loyalty to Greg Abbott, just to understand, you will never get what you want out of him. Greg Abbott is not a fellow traveler. He's not a believer in our agenda. But when he is fearful of losing, and there's a real fear, if he is scared to death that he might lose in November, He will do things he wouldn't do otherwise. He will close the primaries, for instance. He will push for all the money that he has spent. He's the one who fought closing the primary. The state Republican Party was trying to close our primary, meaning Democrats wouldn't be able to do what Rush Limbaugh did. with Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama in Pennsylvania with Operation Chaos. The Democrats have done that. In fact, that's how Dade Feeleon won his state rep seat a few years ago, is they got over a thousand Democrats to come over and vote in the runoff. And he won by 300 votes. It was as clear as day what had happened. You can run that number. Those are all Democrat voters, never voted in a Republican primary. Then they voted in a Republican runoff for Dade Feeleon. They know exactly what they're doing. In fact, the John Cornyn campaign is pushing very hard to get Democrats to vote today, who didn't vote in the first round, to vote today for him. Because they can't get Republicans to vote for him. So they're trying to get Democrats to thwart our interest in our own candidate. And all we've asked is close the primary. And Greg Abbott hadn't been willing to do that. You want him to do it? You threaten him with a third-party candidate. So the only way, I wish it wasn't that way. I wish he would act right. Nobody wants to discipline other people. But unfortunately, you can't call upon Greg Abbott to do the right thing because he does not share with you your view of what the right thing is. Diana, you're on the Michael Bari Weiss show. Who are you voting for? Hexton, Middleton, Beau French, Montgomery County, and thanks for helping me decide. You bet. Montgomery County. What a great county.

21:56

That's solid right there. Is Montgomery County the best county in the state right now? Liberty County may turn out to be, there's some good people in Liberty County. There's something going on in Liberty County. These are very interesting times. Kina, who you vote for? Hi, I am voting for Ken Paxton, both French, Mays Middleton, and Jessica Fox. Kina, how do you spell your name? T-I-N-A. Oh, Tina. Tina. Okay. Ramon hasn't eaten in 16 days, and one of the symptoms are you lose your hearing. Andrew, who you vote for? I'm voting for my good friend from high school in the 359th district, Montgomery County judge, last name, Gutsman, first name Michael, he's a family man. And he's my, I haven't seen him in a while, but that's what I'm... Endorsing. So I don't have time to go vote. I mean, I can't. I've been changing diapers with one hand tied behind my back. I broke my hand. So we've already talked previously. Sorry for not previously. We can sing together. We can dance together. We can talk together. So I love you, Mike. And that's who I'm endorsing. So love you. And you want to talk about something else, I got a ton. Just waiting on my garage, guys. I'm going to keep forgetting Andrews up there. That was Andrew. He's crazy as they get, but kind of interesting in that way. Linda and Lubbock, who are you voting for, sweetheart? Yes, Ken Paxton and Middleton. And I want to thank you, thank you, thank you for your explanation of Greg Abbott. Thank you. People need to know exactly what you said about Greg Abbott. Yeah. You know, I've known Greg Abbott a long time. And it makes people angry. And that's okay. That's okay. I have learned the process well enough that if all I wanted was for people to like me, I could do that. I could steer clear. of the hard truths i could just ignore subjects that are contentious and i could talk about issues that have 98% support among the people that have already shown up to the show when you criticize the sitting republican governor you make some people very uncomfortable And my goal is to get them to look at this with wide open eyes and realize how these people are duping you. How a John Cornyn dops you. Greg Abbott dupes you in the same way John Cornyn does. And it doesn't make people happy because they go, no, no, but I voted for Greg Abbott because they internalize it. You're in some way insulting me. The margin of victory in almost every race.

25:10

is the number of votes that will be cast from when we go off the air in 10 minutes until 7 p.m. tonight. I gig out over this stuff. It's what I do. It's funny. Last week, a number of national folks reached out. Said, well, y'all have done it. You managed to beat the incumbent with Ken Paxton. And my answer to that is, yeah, if everybody shows up to vote, we will have dethroned a four-term U.S. senator. Did the same thing against Bill Cassidy in Louisiana. This is a really, really big deal. We beat the only sitting U.S. congressman to lose in a Republican primary. in I think 14 years back in March. Those are big victories. They're important. They're important for the seat itself, but they're even more important as a scarecrow effect. Because when a guy gets to Austin or a guy gets to D.C., Ms. Smith, Mr. Robinson, who they saw at the coffee shop every morning, Ms. Smith, who'd come up and say, I'm praying for you. I don't have any money to give, but here's $20. I took it out of the jar. And I've told two of my friends to vote from me since I don't drive. They're going to drive me down. Three of us are going to vote. We're going to do the best we can. I'm going to pray for you when you get there. And at that moment, you're almost reduced to tears. But then you get to Austin, you get to D.C. And all those people who work behind the scenes to beat you, to keep their guy in there, they come forward and they say, they look around both ways, like it's very surreptitious clandestine. Hey, everybody was wanting me to work against you, but I was secretly for you. This is what they do. These people have no soul. They have no soul because they cannot afford to be believers. This is a business for them. When you show up at the tire shop, you don't think to yourself, that guy I'm about to buy the tire from, he believes in tires. Tires are what he eats, drinks. He believes deeply in tires. No. Tomorrow it could be windows. The next day it could be windshield wipers. This is how he makes a living. Nothing wrong with that. Somebody's got to. But when he tells you you've got to have this tread and you've got to have it today, it's not that he has a religious conviction in tires. It's got a mortgage to pay. And when you understand that almost all, of the noise you're getting at election time is from people who have a mortgage to pay based on their candidate winning. Once you understand that, both sides are going to hire consultants. There's no doubt in that. Just understand that every message you're getting is bought and paid for.

29:00

If someone is selling you on why you need Ebola, they're good at what they do. They're going to convince you you need Ebola in your life. And that anyone who's against Ebola is un-American, a bad person, doesn't love America or Trump as much as the Ebola salesman guy does. And lo and behold, you end up with Ebola. And you wonder, how'd I get Ebola? I don't want Ebola. Well, that guy's really good at selling things. And he got paid extra for Ebola because Ebola is so bad. And Ebola has the establishment behind it. See, if your agenda is to go to Austin or go to D.C. and burn the place to the ground and start over and bring the people back into it, there's no money in that. That's the problem. There's no money in that. Where's the money come from? You, you're not going to give to candidates. The people don't finance campaigns. That's why the incumbents always win. And the incumbents win and win and win and win. And then at some point you wake up and go, I want term limits. You have term limits. Very simple. You have them. Show up and vote for the challenger. It's that simple. Well, no, no, no, no, no, Michael, what I really want, because the politicians will never give you terminals. What I really want is I want to go to conferences on the weekend. I want to go to rallies. I want to cheer for it. I want to hoot and holler. I want to have websites. I want to have petitions. What I really want to do is be put off, sent off on a wild goose chase and spend a lot of time on petitions and all these efforts for term limits. And I want to be mad at all my neighbors who aren't sufficiently upset and want term limits. And I want everybody who's not against term limits to be shamed that they don't want term limits. But you have term limits. Show up and vote against the incumbent. No, no, no, no. I prefer to make everything more complicated. And while I'm at it, I'd like them. And the Carl Roves come up with this stuff to keep you busy. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. You might start dethroning John Cornyn if you don't stay distracted with these sorts of things. So that's what they do. Y'all need to have prayer in school. Yeah, yeah, prayer and school. You need to have conventions of states. You need to have all these different things. Against us the devil. Now, y'all run off and keep yourself busy. While we sit over here and give ourselves defense contracts, big pharmaceutical purchases over COVID-19. More wars? Because we're going to get paid by Halliburton and KBR and Raytheon and Boeing. We're going to get real rich. How do we keep you people from having a French Revolution? You'll go have a petition. Go for something. Oh, no, I got balanced budget. Okay. No homos in public. Okay.

32:38

Homos can't get married. Okay. Gotta have church. If you don't go to church, you're heath. Okay. And they'll just keep you spun in a circle and you wonder. If we beat John Cornyn today, that sends a message. After beating Bill Cassidy in Louisiana, after beating Dan Crenshaw, that sends a message. The people are angry. This is Tea Party all over again. Maga is the next version of Tea Party. And you better think twice before you take Carl Rose money and advice. Ray Breyer's is the pipe man. He owns Pipeyard Inc. And they buy and sell pipe all day long. And I am shocked how much business we've been able to send him across the country. Entire pipelines going across three different states where they need to get the pipe pulled out. He's like, I'll pull the pipe out, I'll sell the pipe. People buying pipe, people selling pipe. The people that buy pipe are environmental managers, pipeline project managers. Somebody that's got an abandoned pipeline that's been removed. They want the pipe yard ink. Compliance and regulatory folks. They want to get those pipes out of there. Selling pipe, folks that need carbon steel pipe, the Pipyard Inc stocks everything you need, any kind of pipe. There is stuff that people call him for, industrial stuff, that he doesn't even have, and he tracks it down. He's working his phone, and his team is working their phones all day long. He's got a yard, they've got pipe. They are working the phones to get stuff for people all day long. 409-788 pipe. 409-78 pipe. Fix my lowt.com. You paid your insurance premiums hoping that you would never get fire, smoke, damage, water damage, hail damage, hell, we have so many. storms and hurricanes come through here. And the national carrier now doesn't want you, doesn't want to pay you. Chad T. Wilson law firm fights so that you do. He is the lawyer that will fight to get you covered. Go to claimdenied.com or email me and I'll connect you. Claimdenied.com.
