Trump AI for Tough Conversations, Naples Airport Authority, and Kid Investment Accounts

Last night. Before we get started today, I was a guest over at the Patriots Club for the Republican Patriots Club. And I played Trump as I did a poem reading of my Christmas wish list. And it was a good time. So I want to thank those ladies and gentlemen. And congratulations to skip becoming the new president of the club last night. More importantly, I just want to say thank you so much to that particular club. It was the first one I ever stepped into when it came to Republican clubs. And they treated me nice yesterday. And it was just a great, good time. And I took a bunch of 92-5 Fox hats out there. And so 93-7 Trump country hats. And it was great. I went out there and I was like, I have my own station. I have my own station. And I started throwing out hats. It was a good time. So thank you to them for allowing me to be there and be a part of that amazing good time meeting. And it was. Duffy's was packed. So many people were there on hand. Here's what's really going on today. Eight years after being fired from the Today Show, Matt Lauer, is said to be attempting a comeback doing something on TV. Huh. I wonder what he'll be doing. It's kind of funny to think about it. You'd think about it. Like, what is he going to be doing? Creepy guy altogether. Creepy, creepy guy. Sabrina Carpenter is ticked at the White House for using one of her songs in the background of a social media video that put out featuring ice raids. And my answer to her would be if you don't want your song shared on social media, don't put it on social media. In Home Alone 2, Kevin McAllister stated at the Plaza Hotel, and the bill came to $2,190. Rob, the producer, here we go. In Home Alone 2, it was $2,109, but that was back in 1992. Today, what do you think his stay would be? Hmm, at the plaza, in that suite, probably $25,000 a night. You're way over. 8,500 would have been its cost, 8,500. 8,500. There you go. And Sarah Ferguson is said to be looking for a home in Windsor as she prepares to move out of the Royal Lodge. That is what's really going on. Now, in your daybreak, first take big win last night. You're going to hear about it all day long. In a nail-biter, special election, Republican Matt Van Epps, a combat veteran endorsed by President Trump, clenched a nine-point victory over Far-Lev Democrat Afton Bean in Tennessee. Ruby Red, 7th Congressional District, and that thing is red. 22 points is what Trump wanted by. So Van Epps, a very well-spoken individual, said a lot of great things on his acceptance. Here's one of the things he said went about being with Trump. President Trump was all in with us, and it made the difference. In Congress, I'll be all in with him. There we go. That's what we need. And then he said he was humbled. I am humbled beyond belief. to stand before you tonight as your next representative. Thank you. And the word of the election cycle, affordability, he did attack affordability. Here we go. This is what he had to say about affordability. Together will bring down the cost of living. I'm tired of too many Republicans ceding affordability to the Democrats. Right. It matters to us as well, and it matters to everyone in America. It is the thing that is driving people to the polls is to make sure that we are in an affordable world. Inside Florida for your daybreak first take, a Republican-led committee voted 13 to 7 to advance HB-133, slashing the minimum age to buy rifles and shotguns from 21 back to 18. 13 to 7 advanced it. H.B. 133 repeals the 2018 Majority Stoneman Douglas Act, H-Hike, allows law abiding 18-year-olds to purchase long guns in Open Carry, Florida. And it's sponsored by the Representative Tyler Seros of Friedrich Merz Island. It's caused a huge debate inside the legislator. But more importantly, it seems to be that this will be repealed. And let me just say, if you're old enough to fight for this country or old enough to own a gun, they're going to give you one the day you sign up. You're going to sign up. You're going to go to basic training. You'll spend about three days in reception. And next thing you know, you've got an M16 in your hand. Aim into this.

I mean, at 18, a young patriot should have the right to defend themselves and their home and to hunt and buy the gun that they want and not have to worry any other way about it. So we'll cover this more as it gets more in depth. And I know it's always something that sparks a lot of conversation here on the show. And locally, we had Adam Botan on yesterday. I should have asked him about this because this was massive. The guy drove up there. Didn't like it was a little cold. He talked about it yesterday on the show, right? As we talked about voter safety and the horrific accident that happened inside the Klusatch River. But he had a win yesterday. HB. 4005, the House Bill, sponsored by Adam Botan. out of Benita Springs, by the way, unanimously passed its first House committee 15 to nothing for the airport authority bill. And that's going to give the airport authority to be appointed, right? The Naples Airport Authority five member board from city appointed to countywide elected and possibly even in the 2006 election. Clark County was mad. Remember the vice mayor lost her mind over it? Uh, the mayor, we haven't heard from. What is up with the mayor? Is the mayor gone to court yet for Naples? We want to know. Has the mayor faced the music when it comes to her DUI? Is she jumping into? court already. I mean, come on already. Wasn't it already supposed to happen? Didn't it in December? I think, don't we have a date? Didn't we already pass that date? It was supposed to happen like six times and it still hasn't. Right. She's trying to push it all the way until she's done with her run? I mean... That would be my guess. I think that's probably the right thing to think. That's crazy. I wish they'd just get it together in Naples. Right. It's very strange the difference between the Collier County Commission and the Naples City Council. But I guess it's very strange. There's a big difference between the Lee County Commission and the city of Fort Myers. So I can't say that there's a big difference between those two. So I guess I can't say much, but it's just crazy to think. And this is what this does. So let me put this in perspective. You have five elected people by the people, elected by the people, not appointed. by their friend from city council. I mean, that's a lot of power. A lot of power to just wield to a city council member. I like where Adam went with this. I think this is the right thing to do. I'm for it. And by the way, I spent some time yesterday with Matt Caldwell at that meeting. And we got into talking about three different topics. And one of the things I didn't know is that he is on the board for the state parks. And so we're going to bring him in next week, talk a little bit about state parks. As you get ready for your holiday week and break with your kids, you might want to take your kids to a state park. And it's great things that he had, like some things I didn't even know about him.

But I truly love him. But we also got into the single-member district conversation. We got into the district. But I would love to speak more about this because, you know, even though it's Carter County and he's, but he is a Southwest Floridian historian. But when it comes to this airport situation, look, Naples wanted it appointed. It's not happening. Now it's elected by you. The masses of Naples will get a chance to vote on who runs your airport. I mean, that's the, you want to jump in, Rob? You want to jump in? Go ahead. Yes, because you're a call your boy. And I'm an aviator. And I fly out of Naples. Okay. Naples is my base. My argument here is that. The people that are complaining most about the noise at the airport are the ones that decided to buy a house near it. Now, that airport has been there since the 1940s. It's not the same airport. It's not the same airport. As it was in the 1940s. But the thing is, though, is they still bought their house within proximity of that airport. And Naples Airport Authority has gone to great lengths to... do some more noise abatement procedures, especially more recently. So I don't want to compromise the ability for the Naples Airport to stay put. I think. Rob, isn't that airport just for the rich people down there to go and land? They're big fat jets? No, because there's flight school. That's part of it, but there's flight schools that happen there. There's maintenance and there's repairs that happen there. It provides a lot of jobs for the community, the working class community that makes your city wrong. because not everybody's on vacation. I had a friend of mine that was a firefighter there for years. He just retired. He just did his last little run. The Collier County Sheriff has a great air base there that they launched their helicopter from. Mosquito control is out of there. That is an important piece of that community. No one's saying it's not. Back off, bro. I'm just kidding. I'm just playing with you. The people that live within a mile of it are saying it's a problem. Listen, if you live off a, if you live off a major road, you're mad about the noise. You live close to the highway. You're mad about the traffic. Listen, we all have a complaint about our neighborhood, right? I mean, we all do. Everyone that has a good fix one thing about their neighborhood. Suck it up, Buttercup. You got a big airport for rich people to land their rich planes. That's what it is. That's what it is. Right? Let's get to the bottom thing is. That's what it is. Rich people landing their rich planes. Every time I drive by Pagefield on my way home, I will see, or anytime I drive by Pagefield, I will see a nice jet taken off. And I go, man. One day. One day. One day. It's on my bucket list. You know, I've never flown on a private jet. It's truly on my bucket list. And I had an opportunity. It came real close. Came real close once, but didn't do it. It had a cancellation. Was at the airport ready to go. And it got canceled. Long story. But there you go. So we kind of covered it yesterday. Our dad of the year award. You want to be full honest because you don't want your daughter to lie to you one day, no matter what age she is, right? So you got to be fully honest. So what do you do? Well, you make an AI. But our dad of the year, once again, is now doubled up. We now have two dads that have followed this thing. And let me just give you the, they made a big, the Dells went out, they've now promoting this, they're asking anybody that's got a lot of money. We've got a lot of money in Southwest Florida to jump on board with them and help make these kids continue to get this cash. So what a Trump kid is, or a Trump account, is any child born in the date is between January 1st, 2025 and December 31st, 2008, We'll get a $1,000 investment account. Now, when I first heard this, I go, man, parents are going to pull these out right away. Bow, blah, blah, blah, bow. Put money right in their pocket, right? You think that's what parents would do. But it's protected. No kid can pull anything out of that account before they're 18. Now, if your kid was born before January 1st, 2025, they still get the account. They just don't get $1,000 boost. So not a big fan of that. I think we should make it so that every, because now what about the kids that were born in the last 17 years? This particular plan will take the kids and help them. I mean, imagine where our kids will be in 18 years. They're going to, they'll turn 18 years old. They'll have a traditional IRA. They'll already be invested in it for 18 years. It could make every 18 year old kid very wealthy in about 18 years, all thanks to these Trump accounts. Let me give you the Dells. The Dells made a video. Do basically. It's their promo video that they made for this, and I wanted to share it with everybody. Here it is. This is really exciting. Absolutely. It's a very special moment. Like if I had a regret as an adult that I would look back in my childhood and say, man, I've got a regret. Right? It would be that I didn't start investing at a very young age, that I did not follow the lead of everyone else around me and get an investment account and get ready for retirement. The second thing, by the way, the second biggest thing is that I didn't take every one of these jobs I had in radio over the past 30 years and take all those 401ks and just stack them so that I could be out of this. also not staying in the military for 20 years. I could be like my friend Doug Douglas, who, Doug Davis, who joined the same time I did. And Doug is legitimately living the best life of his life ever. He's retired. His wife is like a captain and doing her thing. Like they live in a good life, serving our country. And man, he retired after 20 years. So he was 38 years old. And he retired. Right? It's a great thing. That's why I do love the military. But. Investment is key to life. It's the key to the future, right? And now you'll be able to have this account. And I can't wait until Monday. Like I might even get Alfie on the show before that, just so I can talk more about this because I almost text him last night when I was doing this. And like, hey, Alfie, you got time to talk this morning? Because the questions that I have for this thing is, will it be monitored? Will you be able to invest it in anything you want? And by the way, there are some, they don't penalize you on a withdrawal. The only early withdrawal is like in case of death. There are very limitations on withdrawing this investment. And I love that they put those checks and balances in there because I would hate for someone who has seven kids is on food stamps and on welfare and every government assistant program there is to get 1,500 or, you know, let's say they had a couple of kids or this year or whatnot. You know, they could potentially pull, you know, $2,500 to $3,000 and be able to just pull it out and use it as they wish and not leave it in there for their child. I like that it's protected from the parent so that they're not able to steal it from the child, right? I'm not saying all of us or all the parents out there. I'm a parent, so I said to us. But I would never do that. I, you know, if I need $2 to go fill up the water, the five gallon water drug, I go get it out of my own drug, even though I know my little boy, be stacking ones. Boy, you can't leave a $1 bill around the house. You leave a dollar bill, $5 bill, he's got it, put it in his little piggy bank.

But Trump had a lot of great things to say about the Trump accounts, too. Here's what he had to say. We hope many others will follow Michael and Susan's example and make their own contributions. I'll be doing it too. to the next generation, including businesses, churches, philanthropists, family members, and parents themselves. Now, anybody can make a donation to your kid's account. So, like, imagine every Christmas or every birthday, you know, like, everyone goes, what do I get your kid for birthday? And it happens a lot when they get older, right? Now you can just say, invest in their account, drop a hundo, drop 25, drop 100, drop 30 in their account, right? And now their account grows every year on top of the fact that the kids could earn money after they're 16 and put money in their own account. I love this. By the way, this is my favorite thing of the year. If you wanted to give me, if I wanted to give you my favorite thing of the year, it would be this. Investing in the future of our children, making sure that our kids get that future that they need. And this right here is amazing. I love Trump. I love the Dells. Thank you so much for this. And let's continue to fight forward. For the future of our kids. Like our country, the future of our country is our kids. Let's please continue to fight for our kids and do things like this. I love that everything right now is designed of protecting kids and protecting our future, giving parents their choice when it comes to education. It's where it is right now. It's given parents to power. And parents need that power more than anything ever when it comes to their kids. So. Now that I've given you my two cents on the fact that I believe that this is a great way to go. Let me also say, man, I walked into something amazing today. I walked in and there are one. I will drop your cards off because I don't have a problem swinging by one of the many Mel's diners that's out there. I mean, there's one in four Myers, there's one in Cape Coral, Benita Springs, Naples. No matter what part of town you're in, there's a Mel's diner there ready to accept your cards. These aren't people that work. These aren't people that say, let's go, come on, let's make this place great. These are people that do nothing but complain. And from where they came from, they got nothing.

And they complain and do nothing but bitch. We don't want them in our country. Let them go back to where they came from and fix it. Thank you very much. Right. Set them back. Tell them to fix what they got. By the way, we're talking about Minnesota. We're talking about where 50% of the immigration there was illegal. And they're all on it. And let me break it down for you. 70,000 Somalians are dropped off. And where? In Minnesota, right? They all come to Minnesota. They vote in Ilhan Omar. And then they start stealing money. It's a process. It's what they're doing. The process has happened. They steal the money. They give it back to the terrorist programs that are going to attack us with our own money. We have to go there, and Kristi Noem is, by the way. And by the way, in all intensive purposes, let me say something out loud. An ice storm is coming to Minneapolis. I'm not talking about the kind that come from the winter effect snow. All right? An ice storm is coming to Minneapolis very quickly. And a shovel's not going to dig them out of it. An ice storm is coming to Minneapolis very soon in their expert snow removal, which, by the way, better than anywhere in the entire world. It's not going to help it. I hope Minneapolis gets what they had back. Even the lawmakers of Minnesota are confused. You see the mayor of Minneapolis up there and he's like, yeah, we're going to help defend everybody. You're going to defend those? Walls needs to have held accountable and we need to make sure that any of this $1 billion plus that vanished. from fake Somalia billing for non-existent services in the welfare scandal is accounted for and people are held accountable no matter who was involved.
