Paid Protesters Act as Maduro is Captured, Medical Marijuana, and Underground Gambling

This is Daybreak with Jason Jay Jones on 92-5 Fox News. Welcome back to daybreak as we kick off the third hour here on 92-5 Fox News, and we've been talking about Venezuela all morning long. I've had many people on the show discussing it, and I started right off the show today at 6 o'clock with a Navy SEAL friend of mine, Ron B.croft, who came on and talked about the operations and logistics behind the operation to secure Maduro and bring him to New York to be held for his charges. But it was an interesting holiday to say the least. I've got to be the part of so many different weddings over the two weeks, and I could go into all their names and get into that. But I just want to say thank you to everybody that allowed me to be a part of that. But... Rob, the producer, let me ask you a question. Before we left, did I get to talk about Finn's championship hockey tournament? Was that before or after we left? You did get to talk about that. That was before we left. Right before we left. That was right before we left. I got a chance to talk about it. Right. He got to be a champion from fourth seed to first seed. He played in another tournament while we were gone over break. They took third place. But what I saw was... a dedicated man, a man who's ready to play it. So it was a great holiday for us. We did a big Christmas with the family, and then I spent New Year's Eve with a... Another family because they were getting married on New Year's Eve. It was a cold night, but they had fireworks and all the excitement that you would have on a New Year's Eve party. So that was amazing. How was your holiday? Did you have a good holiday? Did you have a good break? Generally, yeah, I think I did. There were a little bit ups and downs, but it's all right. Did you have a favorite Christmas gift, a gift that you got that you really, really, really love? My wife gave me a system to mount on the wall where I can hang my guitars and bases. So that's really cool because it's a space saver. Right. And it'll make my studio at home look cooler. Right. Absolutely. Well, and I, you know, I was just sitting here after I asked you that question, I was like, what is my... favorite gift and there's just all of mine I'm actually using like she got me a new PS 5 pro controller and some other things that I could use so I'm using those things. That's a great controller by the way. But did you have a great holiday like they did at the Regal Naples Theater on January 3rd when they were showing the

First episode of Stranger Things, which I guess you got to finish, right? Yeah, we did. We did finish Stranger Things. Right. So Little Millie Bobby Brown was spending her time in Naples for the surprise first episode. They showed it in a few theaters across the country. And she traveled to Naples. They showed the movie. She walks out and says, thank you for watching. Now, you're going to hear the credits rolling in the back. But this is Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things just walking out and saying thank you for coming to my show. Thank you so much for coming out here and watching it. I hope 11 stays in your hop forever like she won't mind. Thank you guys. Have an amazing night. There you go. I think that's so cool. Wouldn't that just be awesome to watch a movie or watch a TV show out of, you know, stranger things? And then boom, next thing you know, the star of the show. And she's by far the biggest. When I first read that, I was like, who, who showed up? Then it was her. She's the biggest star. She is the show. She is what makes the show. So someone out, a few people out there in Collier County had a great holiday with that as well. And we heard that shopping boom was up. Travel record shattered. We had 122 million travelers. So it was a good holiday overall for America, a good holiday for most, for everybody here at least, and for those listening. I want to jump into a couple of things. And one of the things I want to talk about is the protesters for Venezuela. Can we talk about that real quick? Can we just bring this up real quick? How quickly did you see protesters? This guy, it was, I think, two in the morning when they apprehended him. They landed at like 115. By 2 o'clock, they had him in custody. By 225, they were in the air on their way to New York. I mean, it was legitimately less than an hour and a half, two hours on ground, right? Boom, in and out. And that's what they're known for, by the way. They're known for being a very, the Delta Force very quick. Boom, in out. They're fast. They work on speed. It's what they're known for. And then within an hour and a half, I mean, I don't even think this guy was in New York yet and they were already out there protesting. saying free Maduro. And then you go and watch the people that are doing the protest. And there was this one old white lady. And she was all like, you there got a great Socialist Republic going on. And you should free Maduro. And I was like, uh-uh. Where were the Venezuelan people inside this protest? And the bigger issue that we need to get to the root of. And this is a problem in our country. Who is funding this? Who is printing these matching signs in this new and and don't take my word for it. Go out on there and look for it for yourself. Go out there and understand that who's ever financing these protests and paying and what I believe, and this is all allegedly because it hasn't come out, paying these protests and giving them signs. There is. All right.

You couldn't organize, let me say this, you couldn't organize a surprise Super Bowl big welcoming party that fast with people having signs to say that team. Like if they decided, all right, this team won the big game and then two hours later they were going to be in their hometown celebrating. There would be some signs, but there wouldn't be 5,000 signs down there that all match with the same thing. These protesters that were paid to go out and protests and still are protesting, we need to get deeper on. Because it's that Trojan horse and that influx of, The enemy inside our own lines, inside our own boundary. And I mean that by elected officials like Ilhan Omar and by the others that are here paying for these things, George Soros. I mean we could get into it. There's so many people. I mean, I don't want to get into who's paying it. I'm saying we need to, as a government, be able to put a thumb on it and be like, this protest was paid for by these people. because it's not Venezuelan people that are out there protesting. And I have yet and would love to. And by the way, I've invited it all morning long. I want there to be a Venezuelan listener right now to call in and tell me your opinion of this. No matter what it is, even if I don't want to hear it, even if you think it's not going to agree with me, I would still love to hear it. And I won't ridicule you for it. I won't beat you down for your own opinion. But it's... where we're at now. And pretty soon I'm going to be asking for the Cubans to call in. And then I'm going to ask for the Colombians to call in. And then I sat and thought about it. And then you think about the Latinos for Trump. And I was remembering when Trump was running, there was this whole group of Latinos for Trump that were running around. And they were supporting Trump. And I realized that if you're a Cuban, You 100% are for what's going on, right? You want your family, your loved ones, to have a free country. You want to go back and forth. How many Cuban Americans living here right now would like to go back, fly home and visit a relative, and have that free travel back and forth, do all kinds of great fun times there? And think of how big tourism could be in Cuba. How big could it be if you freed it? If you took it away from its dictatorship, how big it could be. I feel the same way about gambling in Florida. We're going to get into that topic here coming up in a minute. But it's the question you have to ask is who is paying these protesters and how is this message getting out and how do we stop it? How do we stop the influx of enemies behind our own line?

It's the whole reason that we went in is that the enemies in our own hemisphere. We shouldn't have so many adversaries in our own hemisphere. People that are going against us ready to fight us in any given moment. They should be our allies and we should all work together. Now, by the way, I did have somebody call in and talk to me off air. And so this is a perfect time for Republicans and Democrats to come together for the people of Venezuela. And I'm going to say right now, and I'm going to say it boldly, that until you get the likelihoods of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar out of the way, amongst a few others, working together will never happen again. And I hate to say that. But I would love to see a government that works on the same mission. But with these socialist Democrats that are out there, they're not on the same mission of America First. They're not even on the mission of raising a flag in their front yard unless it's not an American flag. And I'd bet on that one, just to say the least. We've got a lot more still to come. I want to talk a little bit about gambling here in Florida. We do have some new house bills that have been announced to the medical side of marijuana plus the 5 at 835 and so much more still to come here in this third hour. I'm going to get to it. A little Trump power happening again as he is put his word into a little bit of Alligator Alcatraz. Rob, the producer, if you could, could you queue up a little alligator Alcatraz for 2006? I feel like we've missed it a little bit.

Down in the heart of the Florida's swamp where the gators grow fat and the pythons romp, there's a place with a name that'll make you laugh. They call it alligator alcatraz. One road in and no way back, a one-way flight, you're on the fast track. The sand is built it with a swampy flag. Alcatraz better be win. Well, President Trump brings in 2026 with his veto pen. He whips it out and gives it to the Miko Suki. Miko Suki tribe. They were out there trying to expand and expand their land and their flood protection. But it got vetoed by Trump because they're suing. to shut down alligator Alcatraz. You can't sue to shut down alligator Alcatraz and expect your ability to get through. That ain't going to happen. You knew that wasn't going to happen. You knew that right away. It wasn't going to happen. You can't do that. You know, one of the lessons I learned as a kid and I feel like we need to learn this lesson as well is don't burn a bridge. Don't burn the bridge before you're on the other side of it. Right? If you burn the bridge, you can't get back across. You're done, right? Don't burn a bridge. Don't burn bridges. And that's what this tribe did. They burnt a bridge when they sued the state over Alligator Alcatraz. And speaking of Alligator Alcatraz, now there's a push for attorneys have a motion for a Ford Myers federal judge to do an unannounced full access tour and private detainee interviews. State lawyers object. There's no judicial authority for a state-run facility for federal. There's no federal authority for a state-run facility. And plus, it poses security risk. And why do you continually try to find some reason? to get in there and do a, you know, here's the deal. I want to do an unannounced inspection. You might have got that through. But when you start saying, I want to interview everybody there and I want to make sure we interview anybody and everybody that wants to be interviewed, that's not going to happen. And the reason that's not going to happen is because that's a security risk. And you even being in the facility is security risk. I'm not, listen, Alligator Alcatraz has done its job. It is a deportation facility to get those who don't belong in this country out. And we need to continue with Alligator Alcatraz until that number is down to zero. Zero. I mean, I'm just saying, we have got to get it to that point. And the reason we've got to get, it's become that issue.

With the veto and now the inspection, it's now coming back to the headlines, and now we're talking about Alligator Alcatraz and the protesters that are out there. But I wanted to just tell you the story real quick about Alligator Arcatraz so you can know, don't burn that bridge. All right, hold on. I've got Carl on the phone from Naples. He wants to talk a little bit about the Miko-Suki tribe that got vetoed. Go ahead. Talk to me. Yes, also, not only were they suing also from what I read and understand that the expanded area that they want the government to expand to or whatever to take control over was built without the permitting and is in a flood zone. And if he signed that, the federal government would then be responsible to foot the entire bill to fix what they messed up in the first place. So that's another big reason he vetoed because we were going to have to take that responsibility. Right. And we don't want that responsibility. No, I mean, if I built something on my house without a permit or without the proper permits, I can't then go to town and go, hey, I want to expand over here so that you get to fix it for me on your dime. So I agree with the president on vetoing that bill. And the other one he vetoed, there was a big problem with it, too. So it's... He had another veto. What was his other veto? Now you just had me remember it. I didn't take a note of that one. I didn't note that one down. What was the other veto? He just had two vetoes for two. He kicked off 2026 with a veto. And I was trying to remember what the other one was as well. But I didn't take a note of that when I was just talking about the alligator aquatraz. But now that you brought that up, you're right. He did veto another bill. Rob, do you have that for us? I think it had something to do with some pipelines on the land. Oh, the water pipeline, the water pipeline in Colorado. Yeah, he vetoed that. Yeah. But you've got to read deeper into it and find out all these problems that these people are trying to force on the federal government to take care of. So just read more than the headlines for most people out there. They don't and find out the actual reason these things are getting done. Carl, say that again real loud. Say that out loud real quick. One more time. Yeah, read more than the headlines because once you get into the meat of the article, you'll find out what's really happening and you can make a better decision. And that falls that same advice for every amendment on your ballot coming up. Read into those amendments because they like to bury two issues into one amendment without you ever finding out. I'm just saying, be sure to know which is real and what is not. Number four. Definitely kudos to the Trump Justice who wrote the 160 page opinion denouncing what took place in Texas and to the Supreme Court for what they did. As well as, you know, we'll see what happens in some other places. Well, she don't want her job no more. F you to the Supreme Court. That's dangerous as a lawmaker. Right. Who's not going to remember that?

It takes everything in my power not to jump down your social media and just light it up, right? Just light it up. But I don't do that to you because I want you to have your opinion without me lighting it up. But just for the record, and just one more time, Chuck Schumer has no chance of getting that passed. It's good to talk about. Great talking point. Not going to pass. Number one. We have a very sick neighbor. It's not a neighbor, but it's close to a neighbor. And that's fed as well. It's very sick. Columbia is very sick, too, run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States. And he's not going to be doing it very long, let me tell you. What does that mean? He's not going to be doing it very long. He's not doing it very long. He has cocaine mills and cocaine factories. He's not going to be doing it very long. I want to say that there are many neighbors in our own backyard that we need to look at and we need to watch and we need to continue to watch and we need to make sure that we are not allowing for them to feed our adversaries and not. be a supporter of the hemisphere. I mean, it just can't happen. It just can't. And I want to say that we need to look into Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and any other people out there that Ecuador, anyone else out there that might be playing by this same process. All right? It's not okay. And what Trump is doing is having that firm hand, that firm fist, and letting them know. And I'm all for it. Let's keep it up. The five at 835. You know, when earlier today, when he said that Trump is a man of action and action is what he does, and Pete Hegseth, the Department of the Secretary of War said that in our MAG a minute, he's exactly right. He's a man of action. And he's already done some big things and including the reclassification of marijuana that allowed it to be studied better. It allowed it to be taxed for them to bank with their money and all these things that allowed it to do. But now there's some other things going on. and a Republican out of Miami, Alexis, and I hope I say her name, right, callitud, stretches the recertification program. So basically, you're supposed to go every 210 days and get your medical card renewed. She's trying to expand that to two years and raise the limits. The limits were reduced. Recently, she wants to raise those limits. A Republican lawmaker in Florida is stepping up to do this. And not only that, it also fully waives the $75 annual ID card fee for any honorably discharged veteran. Yes. That's a yes for me. Medically, listen, if you go watch the movie Waves and Waters, you'll understand that

What these men and women who serve our country, they come over and they suffer, they come back home and they're suffering from PTSD and they're medicated on like 16 different drugs. I watched the documentary, the waves and war yesterday. Waves in the water. That's what it is? Waves and war. Waves and war. I watched this documentary yesterday and this one veteran was saying I was on 60 pills a day. 60 pills a day. So if we can figure out a way to give medical marijuana to a medically needed patient that's also a veteran and we're able to waive that $75, that's a yes for me. Now there's also another bill by a Republican lawmaker, HB719, that wants to change it so out-of-state patients can get Florida cards in one day. Something I can't support. And the reason I'm not going to support that is because that muddies the waters. We've got to keep it black and white. The difference between medical and recreational. And when you muddy the waters with a one-day verification and you can come in and you can get verified in one day as an out-of-state resident, what that does is it makes it impossible for us to define that line. You have to keep that line defined. And that's why I'm not for that. I'm not for a one day fast track to give people a medical marijuana card. It only allows for the abuse of the system. And I don't want that to happen. Fake qualifiers and basically gives us into wreck without it being wreck. At the same time, this is going on. Ron DeSantis and James Uthmeier, your attorney general, has taken 42,000 petitions from the inactive voters that have trying to get recreational back on the ballot. 42,000 from inactive voters and 29,000 from out-of-state gatherers and have made it so that they can't get it on the ballot. So now what happens? Smart and Save Florida now files a Leon County lawsuit against Secretary Cord Byrd and the Leon County supervisor Mark Early over two unlawful directives. These unlawful directives. So where do you stand on this? Now, what's crazy is that... medical marijuana has shown massive benefits and it's shown to do great things for those out there. And I've got somebody that wants to talk about veterans and medical marijuana. I've got Alan on the phone from Cape Coral. Alan, good morning. You have the nonprofit. Tell me about this nonprofit. And you're right. Grateful veteran. I met the guy who started that organization once. He's a veteran, loves what he does, and loves to help veterans get their medical marijuana cards and helps them get the healthy medicine that they could use. I appreciate your phone call, Alan. What I wanted to get to when I come to this is it seems like we have a device, a divide going on, not a device, but a divide going on. You got James Uthmeier and Ron DeSantis who want to stand up against the medical, against recreational marijuana. And then you have every lawmaker in Florida pushing some other avenue towards marijuana, whether it be loosening up restrictions when it comes to medical marijuana or doing a one-day program. And you already saw what Trump did. And Trump is so close with the CEO of True Leave and continues to build that relationship. with her and it's only going to become bigger. Kim Rivers is her name. The CEO of TrueLeave was actually on hand when Trump reclassified marijuana. It's a lot. but we'll keep a tab on it as it goes down and let you know if it's actually going to make the ballot. We're kind of on ballot and ballot watch now. I always say as we get into the election year, you're going to start seeing new people announce. You'll see people come into races late. We're still hearing that Jay Collins is going to run for governor, even though you just found out that Byron Donalds's has 40 million and a ton of endorsements. Welcome back to daybreak here on 92-5 Fox News right all along as we wrap up our first show of 2006, just getting back into the studio. It felt good to be back. It feels good to be here, and I know you guys were surprised that I did not not show up, right? Oh, man, so many things to discuss. So one of the things I want to wrap up today before we go is Attorney General James Uthmiter is leading this massive 2025 crackdown on illegal arcades. offshore apps and sweepstakes scams tied to crime. And they've seized already $14 million in cash, $6,725 illegal slot machines. And that is way up from where it was a year before that. And this continues to be a push that we need to get at. And the reason is, listen, I want to say something that might be a little controversial as I wrap up the show here, and I'm going to say it. I'm all for Seminole Casino putting little satellite casinos all across Southwest Florida. I'm all for it. Get it done so that we can eliminate the arcades and there could be some kind of regulation. And then you could build it. I'm not trying to let them have a monopoly. You could build it after that if you want and it expand it there. But you have to go with the people that already have it in place. They already understand how to regulate and that at Seminole Casino. They're able to do that. Seminoles can do that. They can handle that process and get it where it needs to be. But if we don't stop these arcades like the one in Norfolk Myers that is right by the illegal left turn that everybody makes, that if you make an illegal left turn, you can go to jail there, but you can get 35 people to go there on a Friday night and illegally gamble. Makes no sense to me. I know a friend who immediately, who got to go to jail, but got a ticket, making an illegal left turn there, but you have 30 cars. Last night, I counted it, 26 cars in the parking lot of a parking lot that don't fit 18 cars. They're parked across the street. They're parked everywhere. And this is an illegal gambling operation that is continually going on that feeds, that takes, that prays on our seniors, that turns people into addicts and is not regulated in any which way whatsoever. So you are losing when you go there. You are going to lose. That's the way it goes. But. Let's get it done already. Get them out. Put these smaller arcades. Put them in truck stops. Put it in places that can be regulated. Let Seminole run those and then expand it from there. I know a lot of you are going to say I'm crazy, but I'm okay with this because think of how many people will stop in Florida and not go to other places. Right? They won't travel on. They won't jump on a cruise ship because they can gamble everywhere here. Think about it. There's just something to think about. I've kind of been on that. A lot of you are going to be like, oh, I don't like that. It's going to bring on a lot of crime, a lot of violence. I don't know.
