Today is Thursday, February 5th, 2026, like I like to call it. You know what I say? Little Friday. Yeah, that's right. It's here. Here's what's really going on on this day, by the way. Besides the fact that, let me tell you a little personal note for myself, I've been noticing that my grass doesn't look like the once a week irrigation, irrigation is kicking on. So I went to go check it. Now it doesn't work at all. Oh, man, I bet you it's a well-issue. Homeownership, woo-hoo. Love every minute of it. It's so great. You know, renting had a privilege that, you know, I'm a fan of homeownership. I think it's great. It gives you some equity in your life. It gives you a little bit of, you know, freedom, if you will, that you don't have when you rent. But man, if this was a rental, I would just make a phone call. It would be fixed. Now I am the phone call. Good morning. How is your Thursday starting off the competition at the Olympic Winter Games got underway yesterday with curling, alpine skiing, and luge events. The official opening ceremony takes place tomorrow. I was thinking about that. I love curling. It's like grown up. What's the game you play when you go to the bar? You play the bar and you throw the little shuffle. Yeah, shuffleboard. Thanks, Robbie. Tell me my ear. Shuffleboard, right? It's like grown-up shuffleboard. I love it. CBS has pulled Peter Attia's 60-minute segment after the newly announced contributor was mentioned over 1,800 times in the new batch of Epstein files. Whoopsie. Facebook launched. Are you ready for this? 22 years ago this week. Does it feel like 22 years ago? You know, when it first came out, I started, you know, MySpace into Facebook. I was using it. Big time all through radio. Like I was reaching out to people communicating everybody, going back and forth, having that one-on-one connection with every listener I could. And then Facebook came out and I got a new job in Philadelphia. And when I got to Philadelphia, they told me I couldn't use Facebook. And I was like, what? Now that same company has like Facebook mandates.

that you have to post. Ha ha! Kind of funny how we grow, right? If you don't believe Punks a tiny Phil, that we're going to have six more weeks a winner. How about BK. Bob? Well, he said the same thing, just so you know. There's a lot of them. Did you know there's BK. Bob? There's one in every state. Everybody has their own. The Lions fan that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver, D.K. Metcalfe confronted and punched in the face. That guy has filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit against them. The Best in Show, 150th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, Doverman Pinscher won the whole thing. Yeah, absolutely. And the Florida Supreme Court dismissed the case in a 6 to 1 vote yesterday, effectively blocking a proposal, a proposed recreational marijuana constitutional amendment. So the Supreme Court has officially made its decision and it will not allow it to be on the ballot. Attorney General James Uthmeier highlighted the fraud and forgery in the petition process as factors undermining the campaign and calls this a win for Floridians. But that is, it's it. We've closed the book. The marijuana book for 2026 has been closed. You want to see it again. You'll have to wait for the next round coming up in 2028. I'm sure they'll move forward with something and hopefully understand why it's not getting through. So. Yesterday, Ron DeSantis made a post, and he said, another hoax bites the dust. The only difference is this one was manufactured by Florida rhinos working in conjunction with leftist media. So what am I talking about? That's Ron DeSantis talking about the Hope Florida investigation. He says that the DOJ probe has found him not in any wrongdoing. This is actually the unconfrey. This is not from the DOJ. This is from a Florida political website. It says Trump's DOJ has dismissed the federal complaint involving Hope Florida, Casey Ron DeSantis, and Attorney General James Uthmeier. A DOJ source says there is was, quote, no. predicate to open or basically there was no reason to open up an intake and no further action is anticipated those were both quotes so this news comes out now who is the rhino the rhino is Florida State Brett from the Panhandle, who we heard from James Uthmeier earlier in the week, Alex Andrade. Alex Andrade is a Republican, and he is up there in the panhandle, and now he is straight fired up about the entire process. And he says, just because he posts about it doesn't mean it's real. That's what he says. Here you go.

6:39

Ron DeSantis, a few years back, made a big deal about anonymous sources and news media. So for him to jump all over a single anonymous source in this circumstance is a little bizarre. So they're talking about the fact that Ron DeSantis shared this anonymous source, but nothing from the DOJ. There was nothing that Ron DeSantis shared actually that says, hey, this is official, this is going on. He just shared that post. And he said, look, see what I told you. Now. If you don't know where this all goes from, let me break it down for you real quick. Hope you received $10 million in a Medicaid settlement in 2024. Funds granted to non-profits secure Florida's future and save our society from drugs, $5 million each. Those nonprofits donated millions to keep Florida Clean Pack, a PAC led by AG James Uthmeier, PAC, a political action committee. And those political action committees are the fund for politicians to work their magic. And it's a form of campaign and funds that they have, the political action committee, if you don't know, look it up. So. In 2025, Alex Andrade launched a House probe accusing Utmire and options of money laundering and wire fraud. He said that this was basically illegal. And this is what he says about the facts. The facts haven't changed. $10 million went from our Medicaid program to James Youth Myers Political Committee and they were spent improperly. So is it okay to take a settlement? Push that settlement to a political action committee and then use that money that was supposed to be for charities to go and fight against an amendment that you politically don't believe in. Hope Florida launched in 2021 by Casey Ron DeSantis. It promotes basically a faith-based self-sufficiency. And it helped to get 25,000 plus people off of welfare. It's one of those questions you have to ask yourself. If this is 100% not coming to fruition, if you will, then by gods be by gods. Like I always say this, and I've always said this, and I really believe this, and I want you to know this. I think once a politician goes through due process, we shouldn't question that process, just like anybody else that goes through any kind of due process and you get found not to be held guilty or liable or any other form of that word, then it's over. You've moved on past it. But we do not have confirmation from the DOJ. I do want to leave it with this, though. What Andrade... I have a hard time saying his name. Andrade, yeah, that's it. Alex Andrade, what he's doing is something that I despise. I despise when Republicans go after other republics. I hate when Republicans tear each other down, and I hate it especially on an election year. I feel like...

10:18

There's a point where you have to, if you have an issue, you should handle that behind closed doors. And then if nothing else fails and you feel like something's fully illegal, I wouldn't go out on the plank by myself. And it seems like he's all by himself. And this is the same guy who represents the law firm that's representing Planned Parenthood. He's now fighting anything that Ron DeSantis does. He started this DOJ probe. I could legitimately, he's a... He stood up for LGBTQ in the past. This guy's got a political record of a Democrat living in Republican in-name-only a rhino. When I heard the news, I was like, good for Ron DeSantis. I do want to wait for the actual DOJ to announce it before I get super deep into praise and talk about the... Poor judgment by one representative. Listen, I'm firm believing, even if you're a Democrat, deal with your issues before they get out and on Front Street. Deal with them, behind closed doors. And then if they don't work out or Ron DeSantis tells you to kick rocks, Alex, then at that point, you've got to do what you have to do. Coming up next, we've got to take a break. Come on up next, I'm going to have Ryan Schmels coming in, and we're going to talk all about... the Save America and what's going on there. Hold on. Ryan Smelson, Fox News next on 92.5 Fox News. Welcome back to 925 Fox News. This is daybreak. I'm Jason Jay Jones. It's Thursday morning. February 5th. As we sit here on this Thursday morning, I'm going to be joined by none other than Fox News Powerhouse. We got them. Ryan smells that give us the inside on what's going on in D.C. and what's going on with the defunding and what are the Democrats trying to get done now? Ryan, good morning. Can you walk us through what the demands of Democrats are going on right now with these ice reforms? Yeah, let's talk up the whole list. So essentially, you got judicial warrants, what they're asking for, they're asking for the masks to come off. They want a number of other things like mandatory body cameras, no deportation of U.S. citizens, no roving patrols. They can't go into places of worship, schools, and voting locations, no racial profiling, and people should be allowed to sue if there's... misconduct or anything like that from from ice agents. So it's a pretty hefty list. They're expected to deliver the proposal to the Republicans today. Obviously, Republicans are not exactly going to go along with everything I just mentioned. Are they going to return to send her? What is it returned to sender? Wrong address. That's how I kind of feel like. Yeah. Well, I thought there was one in something interesting that John Thune said earlier this week. So I actually asked him at the weekly press conference.

13:39

if the SAVE Act would be brought up, which is a bill that requires U.S. citizenship to vote or, you know, proof of citizenship registering to vote and also voter ID laws. And he did throw out there that it could be included in the Homeland Security Bill. So that could be something that Republicans counteroffer with the Democrats, especially if the Republicans do fall on one of these things that. you know, might not be the most attractive thing for them because, you know, maybe some ICE reforms might poll with the American people, but what also polls well, based off our polls and several others like Pew and even CNN, I think, is that most Americans really support voter ID, including most Democrats support voter ID. So, you know, could that be a counterproposal that Republicans propose? We'll see. It's real crazy that we're the only country basically in the world that doesn't require you to be a citizen and have a valid ID to vote. It's great. You do have to be a citizen to vote in federal elections. In federal elections. But unless you're in Minnesota and you got one of their free driver's license that they gave to everybody, that's just another story altogether. Trust me, we can get deep into that, right? I can talk about it all day long. Let's talk about the SAVAC. And what do you believe out of these demands Republicans would agree to in order to get the SAVAC in there? Well, I mean, the body camera stuff is probably going to be an easy compromise for Republicans. I mean, that was actually in the bill that they previously had negotiated that had some ICE reform. They just didn't go far enough for Democrats to vote. Yes. which was funding for body cameras. So that'll probably be the easy one for Republicans to be able to compromise on it. You know, they may have, Republicans may have already supported that beforehand, even before, you know, ICE became a big, big, big topic of discussion and a big point of contention. So that, you know, there's been some pushback on the masks coming off, as well as the judicial warrants. Those are kind of been the big ones that are being talked about. I mean. you know if i i think that republicans are probably support, you know, no deportation of U.S. citizens since it's kind of, you know, all raise the law as it is. And actually, that was an interesting one, too, because Hakeem Jeffries has been talking about that the last couple of days. And you had Graham Platner, who is a Senate candidate in Maine on the Democrat side. He's actually endorsed by Bernie Sanders. And he went after Jeffrey's hard on that comment, pretty much saying that he's dumb and that Democrats are dumb for thinking that. That's something that they should be debating because it's in the Constitution. You can't get supported if you're a U.S. citizen. And the congressional black caucus actually, you know, fired back at him. And that created a little bit of party infighting right there over that one. So those are probably some of the ones that that won't be hard for them to negotiate. But some of these other more stricter demands that Democrats are asking for might be a little bit harder.

16:57

Getting back into election integrity, the SAVE Act is a great thing. I believe that it's something that we should definitely have out there. How does the Atlanta FBI probe tie into broader election integrity? I don't know if that, I don't know how much of a difference that's going to make. You know, Republicans have not really wanted to talk about that on Capitol Hill. They kind of, you know. Then, yeah, they've been getting, at least what I've seen in the beginning asked questions about why Tulsi Gabbard was apparently in Fulton County, the DNI director. There's been some other questions there, but I don't know if that plays in too much, at least that specific case. Obviously, the whole situation as a whole plays in a little bit, but I don't know if that's going to weigh in too much in terms of, you know, citizenship and voting and all that. Do you believe that this agreement to get, you know, some ICE reforms and to get the Save Act in there? And obviously, it kind of, after speaking to you, I feel like that's going to be slid in there to kind of get something that we need as well as conservatives. Do you believe that we will keep the government open past Valentine's Day or is this going to be a very dark Valentine's Day? I mean, the deadline is, what, the 13th, correct? Yeah, well, it's an interesting question because, you know, the entire federal, well, it also prior to the 13th is the deadline. I probably said that out there. Oh, I can just see all the memes already. I can see somebody putting Jason Moorheaves in Congress. I can see it already. I can see it already. Yeah, and honestly, I'm kind of shocked that it's not being, becoming that much of a joke as it is. I mean, it's just like. You know, someone had to point that out to me, and it was like a good 24 hours after the bill passed. I'm like, oh, it is Friday of 13th. Okay, interesting. So, you know, I would say with that question, you know, Most of the government's already funded. The only one that's not funded now is DHS. Everything else is going to be open until the end of September. But DHS is probably one of the ones that you notice the most whenever there is a government shutdown in terms of impacting everyday life for a majority of people because, you know, TSA workers don't show up to work, aren't getting paid. That has a pretty big economic impact. It has a big impact on just our travel in general. So that one has a ripple effect. But also, you know, the DHS and particularly ICE got money from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that funds ICE all the way through 2029. Plus, like I just mentioned, the entire federal government or the rest of the federal government's funded until the end of September. So could there be money that the Trump administration can move around to alleviate the impacts of DHS being? being shut down for a number of days. That certainly is a possibility. Absolutely, absolutely. Well, Ryan Smells from Fox News, thank you for joining us this morning. It's been great having on the show. Thank you for the inside, my friend. Of course, thank you. All right, there we go. Speaking of immigration, are we spending too much as Floridians? The Democrats think so. We'll discuss it coming up next. You're listening to Daybreak on 92-5 Fox News right all along.

20:14

92-5 Fox News. Right, all along. Hey. 92-5 held a diversity and inclusion seminar once. It just turned into a hog-roast and discussion about ammo grain. Hey, we tried. Eh, not really. 92-5, Fox News. Right, all along. Welcome back on this early, early morning. 637 here at 92.5 Fox News. This is daybreak. So how much is too much for immigration? For immigration enforcement, let's say that. To me personally, I don't know. None. I don't care. Spend as much as you need. We'll figure out a way to make it up. We always do. But the Democrats feel a little different about what's going on, and they believe that the $573 million is way too much money. Now, the spending on border security goes to great things. It goes to... $100 million on camera systems of vehicles for border monitoring. It goes on $120 million on communication equipment and temporary trailers for field operations. Money goes to deploying four-law officers and the National Guard to Texas under Operation Lone Star Partnership. $83 million to operating the two migrant detention and deportation facilities. Now, when you save $573, we're going to get reimbursed $600 million from the federal government. So we're still up 20 million. It's the way I look at it. We're up like 23 million. Now, we've only got 200 of that 600 million promise already dispersed to us, but we'll get it. It'll happen. But why are they so upset? Well, that's because Governor Ron DeSantis has extended his executive order 20 times. The latest just happened, and each time it gives them another 60 days. to basically deployment of state law enforcement and National Guard to assist federal efforts, including at sea and land borders. It empowers funding for equipment personnel facilities without legislative approval because of the fact that there's a threat to public safety and our sovereignty. I'm all for it. It's crazy to think that the Democrats are out there saying something completely different. And Senate Minority Leader Lori Berman says the executive has this to say about the executive order. What started in January 2023? The fact that over half a billion dollars has been spent on immigration enforcement when it should be the feds footing the bill for this is outrageous. All right on. I've got my clips mixed up. I've got a lot of clips. I've got a lot of clips. My apologies. All right. No, no, no. Here is the center of minority leader. What started in January 23 has morphed into an unchecked abuse of executive powers. Unchecked abuse of executive power. That's where she's saying of the unchecked abuse, man. Biden did it.

24:01

During COVID, 10 plus times to grab power without oversight. And that hurt America. What this does is save America. What it does is save Florida. What it does is keep our borders strong. No oversight. Legislature debates, budgets yearly. See, the Democrats just hate strong executive action and Ron DeSantis in general. They have to find a way to be upset about it. But at the same time, they are trying to find a way to debate the $573 million by saying, but the real battle is over the executive order. They don't want him to have this power. They're upset about him having this power. Senator Carlos Galermo from the middle of the state. Here you go. This executive order should not be renewed. As you already heard, it has been extended almost 20 times with no oversight, no accountability from the Florida legislature. This, just like doing anything when it comes to Department of Homeland Security or anything with the ICE, listen, we're midstream on this. We are just rolling through this, midstream. We are just rolling through this. We are just now getting to the finish line, if you will. If they stop where we are now, we risk. handcuffing our law enforcement, making it impossible for them to get the job done. We've got to continue doing what we're doing. And to give it to you in the best words ever, I'm going to tell you, Ron DeSantis says it the best. Here you go. So there's no other state that has been able to do anything approaching what the state of Florida has been able to do. No other state has been able to do what Florida has been able to do. 20,000 immigration-related arrests in 2025 alone. 5,000 migrants at sea stopped. 15,000 deported. We reduced illegal crossings into Florida by 40%. Now, when you say... What are we doing? There it is. Right there it is. And by the way, there is two facilities, but a third facility is pending right now, the panhandle pokey, and possibly a fourth site in central Florida. To make it easier to get these, here, let me make you Democrats feel a little better. We're going to make it easier so they don't have to drive so long to get from Orlando all the way down to Alligator Outcatraz. We're going to make it easy for them. We, you know, we want to make it nice and soft for them. Listen, after what I've learned about Minnesota, and when Governor Tim Walz approved that all driver license for everybody, in his essence, that driver's license would give everybody the right to vote, I immediately said, oh.

27:25

We definitely have to keep our borders locked down forever. I mean, I don't care. If you don't have the proper documentation, the reason, authorization, if you come into this country, illegal, you've got to get out. Strong borders and sure fair elections. And when I saw this and they basically said, yes, they were questioned about it after it passed. Republicans questioned the Democrats inside the... Minnesota House. And they said, well, doesn't this give them the right? Yeah, absolutely. It doesn't, it's crazy to think. But yeah, that happened. That is a real thing that you're going to hear more about. And I believe from what I'm hearing without, because I don't have anything confirmed yet, I think we're going to see a lot more evidence of voter fraud come out over the next couple of months. But I'm okay with that because I want fair and honest elections. And so does Donald Trump. When President Trump was asked if he would support the results of the midterm and this is what he said. I will, if the elections are honest. Look, I want, the last one that wants to complain, I just had a great election. They say one of the greatest elections, you will agree, ever. Won all seven swing states, won 84% of the counties in America. That's why the map is all read. We just had a great election. I believe there was cheating. I think it was cheating. Well, speaking of county, what are you doing in full of county? It was too big, too rude. Speaking of counties, what is happening? Wow. So polls show that 65% of Floridians believe we're right on the right track when it comes to immigration. That's 65%. The Republicans. Only 25% say too much spending, mostly in urban democratic areas. But this is... right on track. To me personally, you're ahead of the game. If I was the bookkeeper, if I was a businessman and I wanted to say, hey, let me borrow $573 million and you give me $600,000, you know, I'm going to spend $573 million. You give me $600 million back. It's a win-win. It's crazy to think that Democrats will fund billions of sanctuary cities, send billions of dollars to sanctuary cities aiding illegals and work hard for it across the country. Yet sit here and be upset that we're trying to protect our borders. I am just ready to see a complete...

30:16

removal of all illegals, and we are on the right track. We have got to continue doing what we're doing right now. If Florida Democrats want open borders, they blind themselves to illegal danger stories around it, man. Look at the Venezuelan gangs that were in Miami, terrorizing families, and don't even get me started on League of Riley. it's all the things that you have to think about when it comes to border security. They don't want you to think about it, but that's what you want to think about. And now you've got to wonder something, and I don't want to speculate because it's so deep, and we're going to talk about it a little bit. But why is border security even more important? I'll tell you why, because it's kind of strange that... Savannah Guthrie's mother lives in Arizona, which is a stronghold for the Mexican cartels entryway, that whole area from California to Albuquerque, New Mexico, that whole area, Arizona, they all, the cartel enter the U.S. through those areas. And I wonder if... An illegal is going to be involved in what's going on with Savannah Guthrie's mother. More importantly, I pray for the entire family every night. I couldn't imagine what it's like. And it's made us as a family. I don't want to get sidetracked. I'm sorry. But... That's why these borders are important. Democrats are off base. They don't know what they're doing and they should step off. Ladies and gentlemen, if you have a chance, make sure you get online right now to 925 Fox News.com. Go on there. Please do me a favor. Do it right now. And when you get there, go ahead and find our podcast. It's daybreak with Jason Jay Jones or open your podcast app and you can find it there as well. And make sure you subscribe. You don't want to miss a second of what we got going on. And Rob the producer spends a lot of time, a lot of time, making sure that the podcast is set up nice and that you get a clean, a clean listening in a moment, if you will. By the way, it's all brought to you by our good friends at Advantage Retirement Group. We got to get ready. I've got the mag a minute coming up next and inside that mag a minute. You won't even believe. Oh, it's, it's. One minute of pure rawness. And it's next right here on 925 Fox News. Where the on-air lights red, white, and blue. And occasionally a fire hazard. 92-5 Fox News. Right. All along. The MAGA Minute on 92-5 Fox News is presented by Titan Contracting, Southwest Florida's industry leader in both residential and commercial construction.

33:06

This is daybreak on 925 Fox News. And it's time now for that MAGA Minute. Hey, everybody. It's Karoline Leavitt, Press Secretary for the White House. It's time for the MAGA Minute on 925 Fox News. Why don't you show the funeral of Rachel Moran? Why don't you listen to the 19 minutes of Lake and Riley fighting for her life? Not that she was, you know, murdered. that for 19 minutes she fought for every breath, fought to survive. How terrified these young women were to be raped and murdered. How about that? How about we educate these children on President Trump to make this country safe again? How about we educate the children on the last administration? Half a million children were smuggling this country. They lost track of 300,000 of them in President Trump. Found 145,000 them. 145,000 children that last administration wasn't looking for. When we talked about the quarter of million Americans died from fentanyl across the open border, why don't we talk about the record of known suspected terrorists across that border, or the historic increase in sex trafficking women children. Let's talk about that. President Trump's saving lives every day. The border is the most secure we have in the history of this nation. Less women are being raped. Less people are dying and making that journey in this country safe again. Let's tell that story. That is, your borders are Tom Homan, by the way, discussing the fact that listen to what happened in Minnesota. Protest escalated with school walkouts in Minnesota and L.A. where activists and teachers organized children to skip classes and chant against Trump's mass deportation. There's actually videos out there of kids as young as 10 holding signs to say no more deportations at rallies near ICE operations. You know, I want to say real quick, who drags their kid to a violent protest with history of violence? There has already been two people that have lost their lives inside one of these protests. It's like when you see a street beggar during the holidays and they're out there with their kids begging for money. Now you say, well, they're a family and they're struggling or they want to teach their kids how to stand up against the government. Well, what you're doing is you're not putting your kids first. You're involving your kids in adult antics and ignoring your family safety. It violates everything I personally stand for. Now, what happens next? What happens next is the kid who your kid goes to school with sees them on television holding a sign. He goes to school and gets bullied for being at a protest. Oh, yes, that will happen. That's why you don't put your kids out on the street corner begging for money. They will eventually have to go back to school and say, oh, Susie, I saw you and your mom out in front of Walmart begging for dollars. It's the same thing. Put your kids' thoughts first. Think about where your kids are. What the Democrats did in Minneapolis has exploited our innocent children.

36:07

And they're continually doing it. It is not okay. And by the way, if you take your kid to a protest, you're wrong too. God gave us these blessings to shield not to parade. Stop being a bad parent. Just because of your political beliefs. Family first, never forget it. More daybreak coming up next. We'll talk to this, the mad rush at all the DMVs and why is there a mad rush? Find out next on Daybreak. 92-5 Fox News. Right. All along.
